Vermont has a few awesome places to get bagels, but Myer's is by far my favorite. They're the only bagels I can eat dry. That's how good they are. But they're great for sandwiches too! They also have good coffee so it's a great stop to grab breakfast to-go (but there's seating there as well). The Montreal Spice flavor is my favorite, but you really can't go wrong. Highly recommended!

YES! One of the tastiest meals I've experienced in Vermont. After a little pre-trip digging I found that Myer's needed to be at the top of my itinerary. Why? Well, have you ever experienced a Montreal bagel? No? Me either. They're eggless, dipped in honey and fire roasted all at the off-the-beaten path Myer's Bagel Bakery. According to one of the owners, they make thousands of bagels each week with flavors like the Montreal Spice (very popular in Yelp reviews), onion, everything, blueberry, raisin, and a few other more creative varieties that were out by the time we arrived. BUT! What wasn't out was the Montreal Spice. Let me tell you something: you MUST order the Henchman sandwich - it had ham, an egg, gruyere, bacon, sriracha, tomato, bean sprouts (added spinach too!) and it is one of the best sandwiches I have had the pleasure of demolishing. I wanted to make love to that sammie.

This was my first time trying Montreal style bagels. I had an onion bagel with Montreal spice cream cheese and a Montreal spice bagel with lox. Both were phenomenal. If you eat in the restaurant and buy a coffee, you can take a to-go large cup at the end with a free refill, which is really nice! Highly recommend!

Wood Fired Bagels?? Gluten Free options!! yah i like bagels a lot and trying to cut out the gluten means eating a lot of mediocre frozen weird bagels and then we stopped in at Myer's and their GF is pretty close to a real glutenous bagel. Fun little bagel shop run by nice people! what more could you ask for?

Excellent bagels, breakfast and sandwiches for lunch!

Cause bagel I've ever had and I'm from New York. Call My daughter is going to school at UVM and we have been here for breakfast every day their food and service is amazing even the owner comes out and talks to you. Glad to hear they will ship us bagels in California!

  • Andrea A.

13 bagels for $10, golly! We tried the Montreal spice (obvs the best), everything, sesame, and poppy. I also picked up one of the intriguing pastries: a house-made Pop Tart with raspberry filling. It was very yummy! Not too sweet, with rainbow sprinkles on top and a really good crust. We'll probably end up getting bagels here every other week. I'll have to try one of their sandwiches with shmear or lox next time.

  • John G.

Yup. This is the place. A magnificently dingy dive in the middle of a warehouse sandwiched between an antique shop and a used record/bookstore, this place makes the best freaking bagels I've ever tasted, oven-roasted, cripsy texture, and modestly priced. I can even forgive the Montreal Canadiens posters on the walls (go B's). Do not miss. C'est magnifique. Le vrai.

  • Eric C.

Yum! Delicious local food place. Came here for the first time and their bagels are fluffy and light -- not the traditional kind that you'd find in New York city. Definitely recommend this place, but try coming during off hours when it's not so busy. The mornings, specifically around 9am can be a pain in the butt to wait for. Parking can be busy and it's not easily spotted from the main street. You have to go further in and it's a small reddish looking place. My recommendations: Montreal Spice Bagel with the Veggie Schmear or the Montreal Breakfast (egg & ham) Sandwich

  • Eli J.

These bagels are legit. I especially like the sunflower and sesame seed bagel on a breakfast sandwich. They have good coffee too. You can feel the heat of the oven as soon as you walk in, and watch these guys make that chewy goodness. Bravo guys

  • Christina P.

Best bagels in the South End, if not in the whole town! I guess I can't say for sure because I haven't had bagels from every place that sells them in town, but I think it says something that I stopped looking once I came here! And that's coming from a Jersey girl, so you know I'm serious about my bagels! Try the Montreal Spice- either the bagel or the cream cheese! I really need to try some of their other flavors (And there are MANY bagel and cream cheese flavors). I've just gotten hooked on these. And you have GOT to try a pastry/dessert!! They're all fantastic and super fresh! Emily bakes some wonderful almond cakes. You can even have some of her cakes shipped around the country for your friends and family to try!

  • Steve W.

Really good bagels. Montreal Spice is my favorite. Nothing fancy about this place, but that's OK. A little hard to find down a long dirt driveway in an industrial building, but worth the search. If you're up early, this is one of the only (maybe the only) place around that's open before 6AM.

    (5)
  • Nicole C.

I had the greatest breakfast sandwich of all time here. I'm from Northern New Jersey so i've grown up with incredible bagels from the area...but these bagels are on a whole different level. I can't speak for the non-gluten free bagels since I have celiac disease now, but the GF Montreal Spice with an egg and cheddar was just perfectly delicious. I regret not getting the bagel with their famous cream cheese...but i'll have to get that next time. I can't wait until that day

Visiting Vermont? In Burlington area? You have to get here. Myer's Bagels are a unique bagel. It's as good as it gets! They are fire roasted, made in front of you. You'll love it. My family went here for breakfast. I got the Montreal Spice. They got something like "plain". Their's was good - very good. But this Montreal Spice is something to write home about. You'll drive into the gravel parking lot off of Pine Street. Keep going behind the antique store and you'll find the front door. Park somewhere on the gravel lot and walk in. The smell (and heat if you are there in the summer) will hit you. They are making bagels right in front of you. You can stop and watch for a while, and/or go to the right and make your order. They whip it up for you and you're on your way to enjoying something different than any other bagel around. On Friday nights, you can stop in for bagel flatbreads. This too was a family favorite. And, while our kids were waiting for the dinner to finish, the owners gave them bagel dough to kneed. He gave my instructions on how to use it to make our own pizza - we did it - fun!

  • Mike S.

Okay, I travel all over the world every month for my job, and I must say that this is one of the best bagels I've ever had! The bacon, egg and cheese on a rosemary or Montreal spice bagel was to die for!!

  • Tracy C.

If you like bagels this is the place to go for bagels done right! Great location, fast, friendly service. So, so good...can't wait till my next trip to Burlington!

  • Helen M.

Some of the best bagels I've ever had! I ordered the cinnamon raisin, it was delicious. I love the interior look of the shop too. It's worth the stop, glad I went there.

  • Blanka N.

Hands down this is THE BEST bagel place around. I absolutely love stopping in here and getting just about anything! The bagels are honey boiled and wood fired- AKA AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! They come in a variety of flavors including Montreal spice and banana chocolate. For my breakfast this morning I opted for the sesame sunflower seed bagel with creek cheese, lox, tomato, and cappers. Yummmm! And did I mention yumm! My parter went for the bacon, egg, and cheese on a maple bagel that he was very reluctant to share! It's that good folks! We also ordered a lavender bouchon an it was a great treat after breakfast! Simply put-I LOVE THIS PLACE. If you're ever in the Burlington area, make sure you stop here! We also tried the

I've been coming here for several years now for out of this world, old fashioned, hearth fired bagels. The place is definitely more a shop feel with seating inside and out. You can see the bagel being made which has a certain novelty about it. They have many varieties of bagels, offer homemade (perhaps blended?) cream cheeses, and have coffee, tea, and other cold beverages. If you aren't going to eat your bagels that day, the offer frozen bagels to preserve freshness. They also introduced a flatbread night this summer which I have yet to make it to but is on my must-do list. Favorite here is the lox and cream cheese on a Montreal spice bagels. also, I frequently buy the Montreal spice cream cheese for bagels at home.

    (5)
  • Rae H.

We had a montreal spice and a sesame sunflower bacon egg and cheese bagel. Both were great! I loved the sea salt on the montreal spice. With drinks our total came to about ten dollars. (!!!) Had to leave a big tip because those wood fire ovens keep it really hot in the summer!

    (5)
  • Scott W.

OMG the totally best bagels in Burlington. what else can be said fresh from the oven hot and tasty. What would you not come here

    (5)
  • Darwin P.

Amazing bagel, egg and bacon. Who knew Montreal steak spice was good on bagels. Gives Montreal and NYC a good run.

    (5)
  • Trevor C.

Whoah. Surf and turf (bacon egg tomato lox onion whaaaat?) had me like . Love this spot, food and people and the whole vibe.

  • Jeffrey T.

Favorite bagel place in Burlington. Very local and low key. They have the best Montreal Spice bagels here! I always get their breakfast sandwiches with bacon or ham. I love how the bagels are thin. If you're really feeling hungry, I would suggest getting two breakfast sandwiches. I heard that it get's really busy in the morning so come early! This is really a local gem!

Don't let the exterior and surrounding businesses scare you away. If we hadn't received the personal recommendation of our Air BnB hosts, we would have bolted. But as soon as you open the door, you will see a charming bagel factory and cafe. This was my first experience with Montreal-style bagels and I can't say that I prefer them to the New York variety. However, what we got was very good, and the selections were wide and compelling. In retrospect, I should have gone for their specialty, Montreal spice, but I wimped out and stuck with sesame with vegetable cream cheese. I also snagged a butternut squash doughnut. The guy who served us seemed like he was the one in charge and couldn't have been nicer. If there is another bagel joint in town with more personality, I would like to see it.

    (4)
  • Matthew S.

Fresh bagels straight from a wood-fired oven. I had a egg, bacon, cheese sandwich on a rosemary salt bagel. It was darn good! I'd give 5 stars had the bagel had a bit crispier surface. But the flavor was bomb.com . Oh, and the prices are ridic. You can enjoy an awesome bagel with a drink for $5 or less. Do it!

    (4)
  • John D.

STILL THE BEST Bagels in Vermont. Hands down. The owner is always there personally making every one over an open fire. It has become very popular. Happily they have a few more players now, and the interior is quite nice. The exterior? Don't ask! Let's just say that it's very, very Vermont!

    (5)
  • Doug S.

Awesome... great people and great northern bagels. DO NOT attempt to resist the butternut squash donuts if they have them. Why live with regret? We had six among the four of us. The battle played out for the last two.

    (5)
  • Lisa T.

The whole family loved their bagel sandwiches - I had the Montreal spice bagel with cc/lox/tomato/onion/capers. SO GOOD. It's worth the trip to find them, a little off the beaten path for Burlington eateries.

  • Ken L.

There is nothing like these bagels that I know of outside of Montreal. With smoked salmon, capers, onions and cream cheese cannot be beat. Only wish I could indulge more often. Lloyd the owner and baker is friendly and loves to engage in conversation.

    (5)
  • Nigel C.

it doesn't get any better.. phenomenal. i can't thank lloyd enough for keeping the recipe alive! great, great, great...

  • Bob S.

We had heard about Myer's and made a beeline for the place as soon as we arrived in Burlington. Oh man. SO GOOD. Lloyd Squires was there, cranking out bagels at light speed as we devoured our Montreal Spice and Sesame bagels with a schmear. We got some coffee and talked to Lloyd. Then got a sandwich on a bagel, and some gelato from the case. We got another half-dozen bagels to go. Should have gotten more. Fantastic place, making the real thing.

    (5)
  • Brian M.

I had an everything lox bagel and it was delish. Only reason I won't step up to the five stars is that the bagel itself is just a little bit small.

    (4)
  • Mister F.

Had the pleasure of coming here around noon on a frigid Saturday after a big night out. Great service, staff were passionate about bagels and brought them to us. I had an Everything bagel with Montreal Spice cream cheese, lox, red onion, capers and tomato, and it was phenomenal. The bagel was toasted - just how I like it - and the ingredients were fresh and piled on in perfect amounts of each. Mrs. F, a picky eater from a Jewish family that loves to eat, had the same bagel with the same cream cheese, plus brisket, egg and potatoes, and had nothing but great things to say about the brisket. It was about as close to candy as meat can get. Five stars. I'll be back.

    (5)
  • Casey Ann S.

Wow! So glad this place was open at the crack of dawn (4am) this morning! The staff members were so friendly and cheerful which is especially welcoming on a cold morning. The bagels are freshly baked and my bacon egg and cheese was delicious, with generous amounts of bacon! Thank ou Meyers!

    (5)
  • Pallas Z.

I bought a bagel here last Thursday and have been daydreaming about it ever since. Vermont has a number of great bagel bakeries, but I think Myer's is my new favorite, and I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in the neighborhood.

    (5)

Don't let the outside scare you. These were the best bagels I've ever had. Good variety too.

  • Pranda P.

What happened to the two guys who used to run this place?? Myers really went downhill after undergoing new management. I used to love this place; I would send bagels overnight to my family in New York because they were so good. The bagels however, are not the same anymore now that other people bake them. After new management, the prices here increased and the menu expanded which really led to a change in atmosphere. It just doesn't feel like the same simple bagel place anymore. :(

  • Jen K.

Hands down - Best bagel ever ! This is the spot we locals love & if your visiting Burlington - a must . Try warm sesame right from the wood fired oven with Montreal cream cheese & be transported to bagel nirvana.

    (5)
  • Karen S.

Judging by how packed this place was early on a Monday morning, this is where the locals go. Another bagel shop right down the street was empty when we drove by. It is a little difficult to find and you will wondering where in the world you are going when you drive through the parking lot. We both got the Montreal Spice bagels, which I never had heard of before. They were really tasty! If I lived in the area I could easily see myself becoming a regular. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

  • Lindsey H.

You can't see this hidden gem from Pine St. but don't let that stop you from trying this fantastic place! Customer service exceptional, food extraordinary. The Monsoon involves Brie melted with a cherry pomegranate habanero chutney--yes it's as good as it sounds! The Duck Trap smoked trout and scrambled egg was Yummy!! Their Montreal spice bagels deserve their reputation. Thanks for a great breakfast!

    (5)
  • Laura K.

Great Montreal-style bagels. I've gone several times and they're consistently good, no matter what you order. My favorite is the Montreal Spice bagel with veggie cream cheese. Their rosemary sea salt bagels are excellent as well.

    (5)
  • Dana S.

Best Bagels in VERMONT!! Yes, I know bagels, grew up with them before they became popular. Many bagels are overly large and doughy. Myers bagels are the real thing. Nice chewy consistency, good taste, not too large. The shop is cute also, sort of behind an old store off Pine Street.

    (5)
  • Victoria G.

I think these bagels have potential to be good if they are actually warm when you get them. Got a bagel "fresh out of the oven"--tastes like it came fresh out of the fridge. Cold and a little chewy. Maybe ask to have it toasted in addition if you are looking for a warm bagel.

Hands down the most delicious gourmet bagels I've ever eaten. Delicious breakfast items, tasty hot coffee and a friendly owner and staff make this one of the most enjoyable hidden gems of the Burlington area. I was in here with my girlfriend last weekend. We stopped in for a bagel & coffee after a run. While we were waiting in line, the owner gave us a steaming hot bagel to sample right out of his wood-fired oven. It was a montreal seasoning and absolutely delicious! What a great flavor. We got our food (a couple of different bagels and a fruit cup with greek yogurt), sat down, and the animated owner took a break from his bagel-rolling tricks and treated us to a fresh apple cider donut that he just received a bag of a dozen from the Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury. Delicious! Then I went to order a bag of a dozen bagels. And he was just pulling the pumpkin/sesame seed bagels out of the oven so he threw a couple extras in for me on top of my bakers dozen. What a great guy! I'll be back next weekend!

Magic Hat beer bagel with jalapeno cream cheese was a good bagel. The garlic bagel with veggie cream cheese was a little lackluster, with too much garlic and not enough cream cheese. Ill be back because the bagels are good and they offer some variety but no asiago bagel. I can appreciate this style of bagel

  • Jacob L.

Basically the best bagels I've ever had. Hands down. These people don't mess around. And they're also really cool people. Go here.

    (5)
  • Swaminathan V.

Best bagels I've ever had. Their soups are in the must-have category. The chocolate chip cookies are out of the world. To top it all off, the service is beyond excellent. Only gripe is that there are no sign-boards on the road to indicate there is such a wonderful gem hidden inside. We drove past the place twice to finally locate it.

  • Bailey Z.

Today I had my first Montreal-style bagel and I am hooked. I absolutely love places like Myer's Bagel Bakery. The people are nice, they know their regular customers, and everything is traditionally hand-made. You can see the Lloyd, bagel-maker, (formerly of Montréal's famous Fairmount Bagels) cut and roll the dough right in front of you. The bagels are dunked in honey water for a quick boil, seasoned, and finished off in a wood-fired oven. The whole process is mesmerizing to watch. As we watched, the long-reaching oven paddle brought us a bagel straight from the oven on the house. It doesn't get any fresher than that. Of the different flavors, my favorites include the Montréal Spice (steak seasoning), cinnamon sugar, and the sesame sunflower seed. The bagels are smaller, sweeter, and denser than their New York counterparts. I actually prefer the chewier texture. You can grab a dozen for $10 with different tubs of spread for $4. Dare I say these are the best bagels I've ever had? They just might be.

    (5)
  • Andre S.

Went here today hunting for bagels and what came out of it was a ok experience. The service was nice and prompt but the bagel tasted doughy and the more I ate it the more I didn't want it. The coffee was a solid meh as well, taking all that into effect this place holds a solid 2/5. As time went on my stomach hurt which resulted in me not being able to stomach much else for the day.

  • Abby G.

Don't think you need one more person to tell you to try the Montreal spice bagel... But here it goes- try the Montreal spice bagel... With Montreal spice cream cheese. And then get more bagels to go- especially if you live out of state...My boyfriend and I made this mistake and regret it. A lot. Can't forget that the location has a lot of character! Even though I'm a bruins fan (you'll understand this when you take a look at their decor) they've got great a great place to take a seat and enjoy yourself! Would've given it 5 stars but I feel like I would be jumping the gun since I've only been here once but I will definitely be back!

  • Joel R.

I love Montreal-style bagels, and generally speaking, they've done better by me than their New York counterparts. So, Myer's is right up my alley. These are among the better bagels that I've had, and I've tried a lot. Good prices and friendly service rounds out the whole affair. I am definitely a fan.

    (4)
  • Jasper W.

I love their bagels so much, definitely homemade! Although their bagels are not that good looking, but I like them. They also sell homemade peanut butter, cream cheese, and jelly. Yummy and healthy!

Myer's is my favorite bagel spot in Burlington. Make sure to check out their sandwich menu as well!

  • Kalpana B.

Montreal Spice bagel is incredible + they add their signature Montreal spice rub to all omelettes, which makes it delicious. We had those omelettes (and bagels) three days in a row. Very friendly service.

    (5)
  • Gerard M.

It don't get no better. Lloyd, the owner, is a perfect example of doing just one thing well. These are by far the best bagels ever. Hand rolled, honey boiled and hot out of the wood fired oven. You won't foo-foo toppings or esoteric cream cheese blends here. Just good coffee, a limited mix of juice and soft drinks and bagels that have substance and stick with you goodness.

    (5)
  • Molly C.

I'm so happy that Myers Bagels has finally opened their cafe!! I've always been a fan of Myers' Montreal style bagels (buying a bakers dozen and freezing them future use) and now I can get an amazing sandwich there too! My LaPlatte brisket sandwich was soooo good that I went back the next day for another!! I'm excited to try their breakfast sandwiches too.

    (5)
  • Robyn K.

Try the Montreal Spice! These are authentic Montreal style bagels. While putting Montreal (steak) spice on a bagel sounds unusual, it works! They are incredible. My entire family's favorite bagels ever. In addition to the Montreal Spice, try whatever's hot and fresh out of the oven. You won't be sorry! Friendly service and great bagels. What more do you need?

    (5)
  • Benjamin H.

One of those hole-in-the-wall kind of places. Great bagels, mellow atmosphere. Make sure to order the fingerling potatoes.

    (4)
  • Alex C.

Sketchy spot to drive up to. Bagels are small and ok. Not my favorite. Staff was friendly.

    (3)
  • Gerald C.

Great Stuff. Had the brisket with sprouts, green and some horseradish on a montreal spice bagel. Really really good. Everything worked well. Had to bring a mixed baker's dozen home. Which led to a semi-dilemma - how to bring them home. 13 bagels how to fit it in and the aromatics of all the bagel toppings. It wreaked - in a good way. Let the people deal with it as my carry on the plane ride home or let it stink up my clothes in the suitcase. Loser were my clothes.

Was in vermont visting freinds over thanksgiving. Im from philly and im a bagel nut. I eat one bagel every day of my life. so I know what im talking about when i mean this place is badass when I first walked in i was a little suprised to find the set up like a make shift pizza shop. I noticed they do them wood oven style which is a personal favourite of mine. After ordering a coffee and a bagel with butter i was shocked that it cost only 2.25 for both i was stunned I guess living in the city has made expect to pay 10 bucks for anything almost. I quickly munched down my wheat bagel with butter and my coffee (green mountain is lackluster but for a buck i cant complain) But I kept staring at my freinds Montrel spice bagel which looked amazing. As I was leaving i asked for a montreal spice and the man behind the counter just handed it to me and said it was free. FREE BAGEL HOLY SHIT! If i ever come back to BTV i will be stopping by this place again for the bagel and for scenic walk through what i can imainge is some sort of vermont style junk yard. BAGEL

It occurred to me that I knew very little about bagels. Not real ones, anyway - I grew up in an area of the country that really didn't put focus on them, so the few times I did eat them it was from a bag bought a few days earlier from the bread department at the grocery. Certainly there had to be something better. I can't imagine it getting much better than this. In a less-good part of town, tucked out of the way, with essentially one dude and his stove, doing nothing but churning out bagels for the masses. Even coffee seemed like an afterthought (and it certainly tasted like it, too). But even if I admittedly knew little about bagel culture, I know the plain variety is probably a very good starting point towards what a bagel should taste like. And then, of course, the Montreal Spice bagel tasted great too; I especially liked it for the small amount of salt it added. Certainly someplace to find if you're looking for breakfast or bagels or breakfast bagels in Burlington.

A very unique bagel that does not require any toppings! Eat plane and enjoy many. The Montreal Spice is my favorite. When you eat the bagels HOT you will have trouble stopping....ENJOY!

My wife and I went to Myers this morning at 4:20 AM. They open at 4 AM. I had the surf and turf on poppy seed bagel. My wife had the Montreal spice bagel with roasted herb and garlic cream cheese. The surf and turf bagel was the best I've ever had!!! It was a combination of bacon, fried egg on one half of the bagel and tomato, red onion and lox on a poppyseed bagel. It was like getting two bagel sandwiches for the price of one. Coffee was good and we also had a small-but freshly baked sugared donut. Delicious!!! This place is not fancy but has a great feel. Located well off the street and would be bit hard to find without a GPS. Great experience and staff were all very friendly (even at that time of the morning!) Very hIghly recommended!

Myer's Bagels is a great, homey little place that also serves really fresh, really delicious bagels. The bagels are perfectly chewy (not bready, yuck), have a slight crisp bite to the outside, and are generously covered with seasonings. And Lloyd and Colin are just two super nice guys who run a wonderful establishment. Go to Myer's Bagels and get the freshest bagels you will get anywhere! For a better visual of what their bagels look like, how they're made, and what the bakery is like, watch this video I made of Myer's Bagels: youtube.com/watch?v=k45Q… And for a more in-depth review: theunlostwanderer.com/20…

I kinda wish I hadn't given Myer's 5 stars when I wrote the original review - the place is transferring to new ownership and it's now freaking AMAZING. It used to be a temple to bagels, with nothing to put on them except cream cheese. It was perfectly focused on bageldom. Now, they have great salads, all kinds of fillings, good art on the walls, friendly people AND the same incredible Myer's bagels. Nice!

Heading out of town Sunday morning after the VT Brewers Festival my friend pulled this up on his phone and we stopped in. WOW! I am not a talented enough writer to describe how awesome this place is: A guy, a girl, a huge pot of boiling water, a tray of dough, and a wood fired oven. They were out of sesame when I ordered so the dude grabbed a hunk of dough, dropped it in and said come back in 10 minutes. Best bagel I have ever had. A nice simple place (put your own cream cheese on) with nothing but bagels, juice, and coffee.

4am-4pm fills a niche for great food and setting for early breakfast. As has already been pointed out - the bagels are unique and delish - fun friendly funky food and atmosphere, and great coffee to boot - correctly prepared Vt Coffee Roasters, yum yum yum. had to take a dozen to go. Really nice peaceful outdoor seating/picnic tables. Generous and friendly staff.

Rip off! $6 lox bagel sandwich = one measly slice of tomato, cream cheese spread so thin it's transparent, and a bagel so tough it cuts your gums. And this took them 15 minutes to produce? Never again.

  • Kristina R.

Amazing bagels. Phenomenal service. I highly recommend the Montreal Spice variety - it's an unexpected combination of flavors that work really well together. I'll be back, and I'll be bringing my people.

This place used to be my favorite. I'd come every weekend for bagels and cream cheese. However, they've recently redone the place to be in a cafe format. It takes four times longer to get bagels, they have been STALE when I get them (because they sit in a display case for presumably much longer), they are more expensive now, and there is a tax if you get less than 3 bagels. Overall I am extremely disappointed with these changes, and I will not be coming here regularly anymore.

Montreal style bagels in the Northeast. These are almost as good as what you get IN Montreal. That is a huge compliment. I have never seen their "Montreal spice" in Montreal, but it is darn tasty regardless. The staff was friendly and even gave my daughter some bagel dough to play with.

Best bagels ever! These are way better than the typical NYC bagels and we live in NYC. My favorites are the sesame sunflower seed and the montreal spice. But honestly all of them are amazing. It's not a typical bagel because it is nice and crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. So it's more like a bread. Also, you can order them on phone and have them shipped to your home but you have to purchase a minimum of 2 dozen. Also, they only take phone orders on Mondays and Tuesdays to guarantee that they get to your home and not the post office.

I've been to Myer's a few times now and it really keeps getting better. It is the honey boiled gift that keeps on giving. Today when a couple friends and I walked in, we were greeted with a smile and an airborne Montreal Spice bagel fresh out the oven. Even in our blurry weekend state, my friend snagged it out of the air, thankfully. Great people work here. The place is a bit set back from the road, which adds to the mystique. As everyone has said, Montreal Spice is the best, but I would also recommend asking "what's hot?" The cream cheeses are excellent, my favorite being bacon scallion because it's a subtle way to put meat in your mouth in the morning. Grab a half dozen/dozen, depending on how many people you are with, and a tub of cream cheese and go to town.

I have been going to Myer's for years. Until recently, they never failed to have delicious, hot out of the oven bagels ready for a quick purchase. Now I fear those days are over. The last few times I have been, the bagels were not warm, and were tough and rubbery. Not sure if they are overworking the dough, or they changed the recipe, or they are just making them in advance and letting them sit overnight. As they are now, they aren't worth going out for. I *really* hope this is just a blip as they work out some wrinkles and that I can come back and revise/delete this review. If not, the Myer's of old will be very sorely missed.

My family, from NYC, always buys bagels here before they go home. There's no better endorsement than that. And, the Montreal Spice bagel, hot out of the oven, with a scrambled egg, a slice of tomato and a piece of cheese on top (home assembly required) is the best breakfast EVER. I just wish Lloyd would turn off the TV.

This is a very welcoming, comfortable place to go and enjoy a bagel. I went here for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with its "at home" feel, and very welcoming staff. It's nothing like a chain restaurant (i.e. McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, etc.), and I loved that about this.

Best bagel bakery south of Montreal. They don't take credit cards and I didn't have my checkbook. They gave me my dozen on the honor system. I went back the next week for two dozen more. This time I had a check. Delicious, crusty, just the right bite. The Montreal Spice are to die for.

Stopped in Burlington coming back from Canada and wanted a bagel in Burlington. These bagels are handmade and wood fired. Unbelievable taste!! Highly recommended!!!! Staff was unbelievably friendly!!

Not bad, though the Faux News blasting from the TV took away a lot of my dining enjoyment.

Lloyd carved his craft at Fairmount Bagel in Montreal...and he learned well. The Montreal bagel is a whole other thing...the dough is dipped in honey water, then put on a wooden board for spicing. Then into a wood fired brick oven. The bagels are smaller, have a wider "O", but they have a brown crispiness and a little char from the oven. So good that he ships them all over the US and to many of the supermarkets in Burlington. As someone who grew up on the fat NY variety..I like the Montreal version better.

This place is a hidden gem, you have to drive into this unpaved parking lot behind an antique store, nestled between some warehouses near the train track. Dont let the location or sight of the place fool you... the bagels are a wonder, different from you typical bagel. The Meyer's Bagel is more chewy and smaller, made fresh daily in the brick oven. The oven gives the bagel a slight smoky flavor, subtle but delightful. Their most popular is the Montreal Spice, yes, the steak seasoning. It has a combination of saltiness, mixed with various herbs and a slight spicy kick. The flavor is nothing but subtle, but it is one of my fav,, they rotate making fresh bagels about every 15 minutes, so something is always just coming out of the brick oven. They have a variety of homemade/home-mixed cream cheese, of course they have a cream cheese mixed with Montreal spice, yes, it can be an overload eating a Montreal spice bagel with Montreal spice cream cheese, but what is life, if you dont live a little on the flavorful side? they also rotate a seasonal favor of bagel. One of my favorite things is walking in on a cold winter day and smelling the scent of wood burning mixed with a seasonal candle and of course a fresh bagel. Each table, has a candle lite, creating a even cozier feeling, lately creating a wonderful smell of pumpkin spice and cranberries. The staff is also awesome, efficient and friendly. A bagel is $1 for half a doz for $5, cream cheese are $4 for a tub, or 50 cent for a single philly cream cheese

Best bagels I've ever had. small, but very tasty. (sesame sunflower, poppy, onion, garlic, everything, Montréal spice, maple sugar and plain) They also make their own cream cheese which is equally as good as their bagels. (jalapeno, scallion, Bacon scallion, olive, maple, Montréal spice, garlic, plain)

Soooo good! Went here while visiting Burlington for a few days. I just wish we could have gotten some that were still warm from the oven. I think we'll be grabbing a dozen to take back home and stick in the freezer!

This is my favorite place to go on a Saturday or Sunday morning! AMAZING bagels...bring cash though! BUT, if it is your first time let them know and the bagel is on the house! My favorite- Montreal Spice. However, the sugar one is good too if you are looking for something sweet. Great service, laughing owners...so nice!!! I recommend this place to everyone and hope they continue to do well.

Good bagels, no denying that. They are handmade right in front of you. They have a really distinct... sweetness to them that sets them apart from all the other places. Montreal spice and everything are my favorites. Don't get the garlic. It carries this odd burnt flavor in the garlic that dulls it down and ruins the whole thing. I've had the garlic multiple times (i don't know why i keep getting it; i just trade it with someone else's each time). Their cream cheese is super yummy as well - get the Montreal spice or the scallions. They do have hot drinks-really nice on a chilly day with a warm bagel. They have coffee, hot cocoa, and some cappacinos. Don't go right when they open because they won't have all the flavors. I definitely suggest going there to get some unique and satisfying bagels.

This place is amazing. So, I'm at my office and a co-worker brings in a bunch of bagels. Amdist these bagels were some that were covered in what I deemed "Italian seasonings." I think that with the first bite a new trans-dimensional portal opened in my head. My mind raced across the cosmos and new bagel awesomeness was revealed unto me. Please try the Montreal Seasoning bagel. Words cannot describe how perfect they are. And as an added bonus: cheap eats!

Myer's has ruined me for all other bagels shops. They are simply the best I have ever had. Do not miss the Montreal Spice!

What a wonderful place! The bagels are warm and delicious, and the staff is extremely friendly. They have a great list of sweet/savory bagels to choose from, as well as a specialty flavor that gets changed up every so often. I am also a huge Montreal Spice fan and, when I went, the Sesame bagels had just been taken out of the oven and they were INCREDIBLE! The bagels are incredibly affordable, and there's even a great selection of specialty cream cheeses. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in Burlington- just be sure to bring cash!

Ditto to the superb Montreal bagel! This could very well give the NYC bagel a run for its money.

Best bagels in town. The place has changed since its deli (actually a separate business) left; you can only get bagels and cream cheese in bulk. The old deli had an amazing lox/caper/red onion/cream cheese sandwich that was a perfect hangover remedy. Add me to the list of Montreal Spice fans, that is the best flavor they have to offer (when you're going for a flavored bagel, that is).

no egg, no salt, no oil = no taste....actually a strange taste. not worth the ride to get them. at $10 a bakers dozen it make it the most expensive I've ever purchased. Located in Burlington, VT

As they say OMG! Recently visited from NH and found this place, kinda leary at first cause of the location but now I hope everyone finds this place. "thee" Best Bagel my wife and I have ever eaten. Gotta get the Sunflower Sesame hot from the oven, Lloyd is an absolute show, watching a true master at his craft.

So I visted Myer's this morning with my wife based on recommendations I read from Yelp. This place did not disappoint. Their deli is under construction so all they had was bagels (I was hoping to get an egg sandwich). We told them it was our first time and the owner took a bagel out of the even and put it into my hand. It was a sunflower/sesame bagel, and it was delicious!! My wife got a plain bagel with cream cheese and I opted for a montreal spice with butter. MONTREAL SPICE WAS AMAZING!!!! And just a nod to how awesome this place is, I got the last montreal spice bagel. Someone else came in after me asking for montreal spice...The owner said we're all out but I'd be happy to make a new batch for you. The customer waited!! I would have waited to. A+++++++++++

Myer's Bagels is delicious and really has that Vermont-feel that keeps me coming back. The staff are always really friendly and when I went there for the first time they gave me free bagels! ON another visited, the staff had given two little kids some dough and were advising them on how to roll a bagel by hand and the kids were having a great time. The other reviews on yelp attest to the fact that Myer's makes a delicious bagel that breaks free from the standard NY bagel texture and flavor-- and they're right. I just wanted to add that this place is also a pleasure to visit. When you walk into Myer's it strikes you that this is the way a local business should be: friendly and welcoming with delicious, hand crafted food.

This place is in an odd location behing a junk store in a semi-light industrial area and can be easy to miss. Which wouldn't be such an oversight. The bagels are thin and small and too sweet. They reminded me of large pretzels than bagels. Although they have some tables, the place is also mostly just for take out - they don't prepare any food or beverages.

WOW! Really good bagels, I love that they are baked in the brick oven! When you get them warm they are soft and chewy (not to chewy) and they make real egg sandwiches which is awesome. I usually get a breakfast sandwich or sesame with butter. Meyers came recommended to me by a friend, I didn't even know they were on Pine street until then. Myers is nice and tucked away, it's quiet and the staff is friendly.

These "Bagels" simply cannot be beat! The staff there are awesome, so really what more could you possibly ask for in a bagel shop? Sort of a weird area for a bagel shop, but it adds a nice dose of character. Make sure to get the bagels while they are hot! Montreal Spice Bagel is the best!!

Fresh Montreal-style bagels, right out of the brick oven. Watch them make 'em, then order whatever is hot. Good stuff.

Montreal bagels at their "best." The woman behind the counter was surly, but the bagels were dense and fresh (just like a Montreal bagel is supposed to be, I suppose). Not much of a Montreal bagel fan. Give me a hot H&H any day.
