Pros: Great toppings and flavors and speedy delivery. Cons: crust is below-average, price is above average. When it comes to pizza, in general, there are basically two versions: the fast-food pizza (e.g. Buffalo Chicken pizza) and the authentic (sicilian/italian, e.g. Margherita) pizza. Leonardo's is among the best fast-food pizzas I have had and the price reflects that as well. The crust is quite poor (dry, bread-like) but the ingredients are great and their specialty pizzas have good flavors for fast-food pizzas. The speedy delivery is a great reason that we keep ordering from here.

Leonardo's is OK pizza. You can always be sure of a coupon, which makes it an easy choice. In my opinion, the only exceptional pizza they have is the Thai specialty pizza. The rest are just so-so. They get extra points for having an organic crust and a gluten free crust -- Leonardo's has been around for awhile and they seem to be keeping up with some of the more healthy options. If you want a bargain and a decent pizza, this is a good choice. Look for their constant supply of coupons!

Solid pizza for a reasonable price. Bonus that they delivered straight to my hotel room.

This place. So it is delivery only. I had wheat pizza from them, which is new to me. It was thick crust and surprisingly amazing. I tried a few items, cheesey bread and Thai wing, both were good. Their ingredients are very fresh and do not feel like they were stored in a submarine in case of WW3 for the last decade. I eat a lot of pizza, so I am basically a Chopped Show expert in the matter, Leo's and their thick crust is by far the best in the area, and probably then some.

Actually, I stopped getting Leonardo's a while back. The corn flour on the pizza's makes the pizza just too filling. The thin crust is pretty darn unappealing too. The toppings are good and inventive, the sauce is better than the majority of pizza joints in town. The price is probably about right for overpriced Burlington. Sooooo many pizza joints in town, many of which I am just about to dis-embark for some serious reviewing .Leonardo's is in the top half of the group, and that's not a bad place to be

Pizza was pretty good, nothing to get too excited about though. Delivery was speedy, although I found out after the fact that the place was literally 100 feet away from my hotel. I thought it was a little expensive, $20.00 for a large two topping pizza. I am probably just spoiled by all the amazing pizza in RI.

It is a little hole in the wall with no seating, but the pizza is pretty good. Good sauce.

Ordered a Smokin Gouda... Don't order a Smokin Gouda. Skimpy on cheese and I don't know where the garlic, basil, or the Gouda was! It's a Gouda pizza... one might expect some, um I don't know... GOUDA? Have I said the word GOUDA enough yet? I'm sensing a theme here and the theme is displeasure, dissatisfaction, and dis-GOUDA! To make up for the lack of listed ingredients that were supposed to be on the pizza - it was slathered in peppers. Yeah... No. We paid $18 for a MEDIUM pizza with missing ingredients and the flavor was well, disgusting. Maybe their other pizzas are better. Don't know and haven't tried them... not will I ever. Enjoy your empty pizza with your empty wallet!

The hubs and I wanted a quick food option after putting the baby to bed and just arriving in town. We were staying at the Sheraton, so this place is really close. Three stars to me means that the food was good, but not compelling enough to go back over trying someplace new. Online they have a 50% off your order option to select but then that coupon doesn't seem to exist anywhere so that doesn't really manage your expectations. We ordered a medium, but their medium is really small- however it ended up being a good amount for us at the time since we didn't have a fridge for leftovers. We got the cheesy bread as well which was really good if you eat it upside down, because all the garlicky flavor is on top. We got two specialty pizza flavors on one pizza, the buffalo chicken and something with pepperoni, sausage and peppers. Both were good but maybe a little umph.

Needed something easy and convenient to take back to the room after a long day on the road. We drove to the location for take out. The menu had variety and we were pleased with our choices. The dough is hand tossed and the crust was not too thick or too thin. If I lived in Burlington, this would be on my list when I got the craving for pizza.

Always a great tasting pizza for a night when I don't feel like cooking. I alway enjoy the whole wheat crusts. On a cold night that I feel like doing limited cooking I stop by and pick up a round of pizza dough and bake my own pizza warming up my condo at the same time.

You know what makes Leonardo's Pizza even more fanastic? Ordering it from your hotel room nearby and eating it in bed on the last night of your honeymoon while drinking copious amounts of wine and beer. But if you can't have it that way... then I recommend ordering it on any ol' Tuesday or Saturday or having it for breakfast anyday because it's that good. Throw caution to the wind. Get the pie you Want, not the one you Should get (you know what I mean).

Favorite delivery pizza option in Burlington! Fresh, healthy, and creative ingredients and combinations. Not to mention their crust is made from a local Vermont flour company, King Arthur Flour. Sometimes delivery can be slow (and then the pizza cools and looses a little of its greatness) but very much quality food. My go-to there is the Thai peanut chicken on a wheat crust--delish! They also have wings and cheesy bread but the pizza is where they really shine.

Leonardo's isn't my first choice to satisfy my pizza cravings, but they have free delivery and are a step above Domino's. I've tried their basic one topping pizzas on multiple occasion because they always cater lunch events at school. But, yesterday when I had a craving, I got to try one of their signature gourmet and an inspired vegetarian pizza. I got half a vegetarian works and half of a classic chicken cordon bleu. They also had two new breakfast concept pizzas with eggs, but they were scrambled rather than the over easy farm eggs you see on other artisan pizzas. Not sure how scrambled eggs would taste as a pizza topping. Delivery was very fast (around 30 minutes) and I also got free panko crusted boneless buffalo tenders and a 10% off college discount. I realized I am not a fan of their olive oil garlic sauce. It is just too strong of a taste that just overwhelms the rest of the pizza. But, I did like the New England baked ham, which tasted like bacon. The vegetarian half was also quite good, but I didn't get much broccoli or spinach on any of the slices. The free order of panko crusted buffalo tenders were terrible. They were unforgivably dry and the panko crust was soggy and almost non-existent. The ranch sauce couldn't even save them. I like that they have a lot of options including organic wheat crust and a wide variety of toppings to choose from, but their pizza dough is average. Despite that, I still won't pass up free pizza at future school functions.

Leonardo's is good pizza anytime. Some pizza is only meant to be consumed after a big night out, but Leonardos is a great spot for lunch, dinner, and even tastes good cold the next day! I love their zesty tomato sauce and the lunch time deal is awesome! 2.99 plus tax for 2 slices and a soda... wow, you can't get even get some fast food lunches that cheap. It isn't exactly healthy, so I try to limit how many times I have Leonardo's, but it is worth it when I do.

Had the pizza with the wheat crust, it was literally so bad I could not eat a second bite. I have never done that before. Horrible pizza.

This is one of my favorite pizza places - nationwide. One of their specialty pizzas and an order of wings has become our standard order one night a week that all other delivery/pizza places are measured. They have 2 locations that deliver, depending on where you are ordering from. Leonardos uses fresh ingredients and has several choices of crusts. They have a variety of specialty "gourmet" pizzas that are worth a try as well as regular pizza favorites. What makes Leonardo's my favorite is their consistency. I have used them for both work and home events and they were always on time (or contacted me if they were lost), pies were hot and well made. I have always ordered over the phone and only use the website to look at the menu (which they include with every order.) I believe their pizzas have a unique fresh taste that I have not found with any national chain pizza.

Awesome pizza and service! There was a mix up with my order one time and they took care of it immediately, delivered it and fixed the problem. They were super friendly and helpful !

Solid pizza- thinner crust, on the smaller side, with fresh ingredients. Less greasy than other local joints. A tad expensive. But, overall, probably worth it.

I could eat Leonardo's pizza every day for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. Thick-crust pizza (try the wheat crust-- it's really good) with a variety of toppings...yum. This pizza is not greasy at all, and it's made with all-natural ingredients.

Hands down, the best pizza in Burlington. Leonardo's has great combo pizzas and they were the first delivery pie shop to introduce fresher and more exotic toppings than the chains and a whole wheat crust that is better than any white crust I have ever tasted. Five stars for making healthier taste good.

I ordered delivery. I like the all natural ingredients. Delivery was quick and it came hot. The website for online ordering leaved much to be desired. I don't know... I've been eating pizza as long as I can remember. I didn't see anything that made this stand out above Papa John's on the taste. But, I am giving that fourth star because I love the Natural ingredients.

Rejoice! There is good vegan pizza out there! My boyfriend and I were staying in Vermont and had a craving for vegan pizza. He didn't think we could find anything decent, but after tasting the Vegan Salvation from Leonardo's, he (and I) were sold. Flavorful, fresh, full of a nice veggie mix. I like that my salad came with Newman dressing. Delivery was fast. Total thumbs up. BTW-they have all kinds of pizza choices, some are specialty pizzas for veggies and omnivores.

Best pizza in Burlington in my opinion. They never disappoint - and the Thai pizza is a slice of awesomeness. Yum...I think I'll have some tonight. They also have a lot of healthy choices...check it out if you kind of particular about your pizza: former fruitarians - you know I'm looking at you.

Always a good pie, always on time. Prices can be expensive if you get a complicated pizza. Keep an eye out for coupons around town. Online ordering is quick and easy (and they send you coupons/deals!)

I'm a huge fan of these guys! I live in the New North End and order from them all the time, they are my go to. My personal favorites are Six Feet Under: spicy sausage, red onions, garlic, pepperoni and Cheese Burger Paradise: burger, this amazing mustard/ketchup/sweet sauce stuff, gorgonzola cheese. I prefer to have the thin crust, because all that dough is just too much. They ALWAYS deliver fast, hot food with a smile.

Service is terrible. Every time I order from here, they get it wrong in some way or another. Sometimes, it'll take an hour to deliver, other times, my pizza was absolutely cold. When I call to correct the issue, they're very rude. Too bad, because the pizza tastes really good...

  • Danielle A.

Leonardo's gets it main points because it has vegan cheese. But that is the only reason, because half the employees don't even know that they have vegan cheese or what kind. Their phone service is terrible, the employees are abrasive and seem to have little idea what is going on. And this happens literally every time we order. I think the most disappointing factor is the garlic bread though. Pizza dough with garlic salt sprinkled on top is not garlic bread. The last time we got garlic bread there was actual garlic on top, but this was just a waste of money. The pizza is great here, and I really appreciate the fact that they offer vegan options. I will continue to give Leonardo's my business for that reason. But their employees need an attitude check and their food needs consistency. Worst garlic bread ever.
