The old go-to for a quick bagel and coffee when in Burlington.

These are by far the best bagels I've ever tried. The only issue I have is that they're SO fresh they only last a day or so before they become rock hard and inedible. Still, there's nothing quite as good as a fresh Bruegger's, so why you'd want to wait a day to eat one is beyond me.

I was back in the Northeast for a bit, and had a chance to go up to BTV. I had been longing for Bruegger's since my move to California, I actually went to one in San Diego, but it just didn't taste quite the same. I can happily report that the Bruegger's in Burlington is still making super tasty bagels. I know this is a chain establishment, but I grew up 10 miles from the first shop (in Troy, New York), so it will always be a "local" place in my heart. I think the taste has stayed the same these past 30 years. Back to the Burlington joint, the bagels I had were super fresh and delicious. If the bagels aren't fresh out of the oven I would recommend having them toasted. NOTHING in this world beats a hot and fresh Bruegger's bagel with cream cheese, so AMAZING. Bruegger's in the NE never lets me down. I recommend trying the sandwiches, they are a little pricey but quite tasty and great to pick up when going hiking or skiing.

We tried this place after getting up late and walking downtown already hungry. There was a small line but we were served quickly and with a smile. I tried a Back Bay (egg, bacon, cheese, tomato, pickled red onion, lox cream cheese) and the Mr tried a Western (egg, bacon, cheese, chipotle, bell peppers, red onions) - we both picked the jalapeno bagel. I really enjoyed mine! I admittedly have a taste for baked goods that seem slightly underbaked, so I loved the chewiness and softness of my bagel. People watching is nice from the 3rd story seating.

Not too bad for a chain! Great people watching on Church Street. My daughter is still raving about her chicken breast sandwich. A little disappointed that a product features on their menu board was discontinued.

Wow, 3 levels of seating. I like it! Service from behind the counter was friendly. The coffee was very tasty. It's quiet in there which was nice after we were at the loud Festival of Fools festival all afternoon. The place was also very clean, their bathrooms too. Highly recomended.

It's your typical overpriced coffee joint because it's busy in the marketplace. The sheer amount of people puts quantity over quality. I'm not impressed enough either way. It is what it is.

I really like this place. I mean... I REALLY like bagels, so anywhere that serves them is usually good with me - but I appreciate that Brugger's pairs their bagels with friendly service, free wifi and a comfy place to sit :-) We spent several hourrs at Bruggers during a weekend stoppover in Burlington and sampled the wholewheat and cinnamon rasin variations with butter, a wholewheat with spinach omlette and cheese, and a wholewheat with egg, cheese and turkey... I loved them all. I also got a free refill on my maxi-cup of coffee because the guy behind the counter liked my Australian accent - winner!

While the food was pretty tasty, the preparedness and service of the staff was not the greatest. My sandwich was made quickly yet my wife's was on the menu, they did not have any of the items needed for it. They had to go and track down the ingredients which took quite some time and many people ended up being waited on and checked out before us. The cashier had to go ask what my sandwich was (ham, cheese, and bacon) My wife also noted that she observed the general manager attempt to cover a cough, missing his elbow and coughing on the large stockpile of bagels. While the bagels were good, there is so much I would change about this place. The staff was nice but the aforementioned coughing incident would make me hesitant to return.

Bruegger's has always been a very dependable bagel stop for me on Church Street. I don't think, in the many times I've been here I've ever had a bagel I didn't like. They have a very wide selection of fresh bagels and flavored cream cheeses to choose from. The sandwiches are also quite good and I recommend them as a lunch option but I typically only come in here for the "hot out of the oven" bagels with cream cheese that gets all melty on the hot bagels. So yes, be sure to look for the bagel baskets labeled "HOT" as they are just out and are nice and warm. I have noticed the cream cheese has a slightly different flavor than what I'm used to in here. This has been in the past few months. But this does not at all detract from very good bagels and they serve Green Mountain Coffee roasters coffee so the coffee is also dependable. They also have an espresso machine if you're so inclined for the "hi-test" coffee drinks. Quick and always friendly service, plenty of indoor seating between three floors that face church street or some booth seating and always something to look at out onto the street. It's a nice warm and toasty stop on those wind-whippin' up Church Street kind of days. I highly recommend a stop in. Grab a newspaper on the way too.

Couldn't taste not see any cheese on my breakfast sandwich so I asked if they forgot the cheese and showed the sandwich. The younger employee apologized and offered to make a new one which I accepted. The older manager told him not to and instead brought me a slice of cold cheese to add to my sandwich. He doesn't know anything about running a successful business.

Excellent bagels with interesting breakfast sandwiche options. I tried the western omelet breakfast sandwich it it was very tasty. A nice stop for a quick counter service breakfast.

If your in need of a bagel and it needs to be quick! Bruegger's is your place when your downtown! They offer great food, service and some fun seating! Not to mention the free WiFi! Now when I think of a bagel shop I think very few things. For one its needs to have the option of turkey, bacon and piled high veggies! Maybe some onion, green peppers, CHEESE OH YES! You must have cheese! Maybe some cheddar? Then lastly it needs some garlic mayo. Now the bagel must be crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside with a good chewy factor to it! And let me tell you Bruegger's delivers on all fronts here! I love a nice crunch when I bite down into the sandwich but yet its chewy enough to enjoy the full taste of what it has to offer. The seating here is also great. They have 3 floors of seating here. Granted it's not very big on each floor but they have massive Window's on the top floor! Makes a great stop for people watching. Plus its not very loud on top. So bring your wireless buddy and enjoy your self! Study even if your student! I mean hell why not? Treat your self! You earned it! Thats why your there in the first place right? Now that I am done talking about my bagel I'm getting hungry....So I will catch you all later! Enjoy! PS. Random fun fact here! Did you know that Bruegger's was found in Vermont? Will it was! (Thanks for the info Jae L.!) So this is a local company. And we should only expect the best out of these guys! Check out their web site too for their history if your interested!

I used to absoloutely love coming here when I was younger, but I feel that in recent years, Bruegger's has gone downhill. The last several times in a row that I've gone in, the bagels seemed undersized and overly tough, the cream cheese had a wierd tang to it, and the prices have shot up. The interior is still great though, awesome place to sit and observe Church St. I'm sorry to say I'm no longer a customer here. I'm not saying they're bad, but they're not the great breakfast location place I remember either.

As bagel shops go, this one's decent, but not great. It's not excitingly decorated; it's doesn't have extremely tasty food; it doesn't have overly friendly bagel makers. It does, however, have quick food that tastes decent and doesn't cost a lot. If you're looking for mind numbingly delicious food, look elsewhere. If you're in a hurry and looking for a quick bite, Bruegger's is a good utilitarian option.

If you're going to eat breakfast in Burlington, I'd try to exhaust your local-only options before stopping in at Bruegger's, but the bagels are great and the space is very cool-- there are three floors to the seating area, all of which feature views of Church Street. This is a great place to get some work done on your computer while eating a light meal.

I enjoy the attentive staff and amazing bagels. The variety changes seasonally and the fresh cream cheese is outstanding. Be sure to try some of the sandwich specials. Plenty of food and a great price.

Great place. I got my pre-run double shot espresso and a toasted whole wheat bagel with butter. The bagel is as good as it gets, but would have like more butter on it. The espresso wasn't that great, but then again its a bagel shop.

This is one of the best bagel chains ever! The first Bruegger's Bagel Bakery was in Troy, NY in the 80's and today the company is based out of Burlington, VT. I believe the best bagels are found here. They also contain no preservatives. The bagels are baked in a stone hearth right in the shop and are soft and chewy and toasted to order. There are numerous kinds of bagels. The bagel varieties vary from bakery to bakery, but seeing that the headquarters is also in Burlington I would imagine this Bruegger's has all the varieties. Here's a list of the kinds. I'm not sure if this is a complete or partial list. Blueberry, Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Raisin, Cinnamon Sugar, Cranberry Orange, Everything, Garlic, Honey Grain, Jalapeo, Onion, Plain, Poppy, Pumpernickel, Rosemary Olive oil, Salt, Sesame, Sun Dried Tomato Bruegger's also makes it's own secret recipe cream cheese from the finest cream Vermont has to offer. There are also several varieties of cream cheese. Here's the list. Bacon Scallion, Chive, Garden Veggie, Light Garden Veggie, Light Herb & Garlic, Honey Walnut, Jalapeo, Olive & Pimento, Plain, Light Plain, Smoked Salmon, Strawberry, Wildberry I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not a coffee drinker. However, Bruegger's also offers coffee from the renowned Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. Check the Bruegger's Bagels website for the complete list. As of writing this review some of the flavors include: Fair Trade Organic French Roast, French Vanilla, Fair Trade Rain Forest Nut. If you aren't a coffee drinker either I'd recommend getting a bottle of juice from the well known Nantucket Nectar's instead. They taste great! Last but certainly not least Bruegger's offers many other items on their menu aside from bagels. Check the menu on the website for the complete list of items. These include: Sandwiches, Softwiches, Breads and Wraps, Meals to Go, Salads, Breakfast Sandwiches, Smoked Salmon, Gourmet Soups, Beverages, Desserts, & Snacks. The Burlington shop is a nice place to stop for lunch if you're in downtown Burlington. There are two floors to accomadate those people wishing to dine-in, grab a bite to eat while getting some work done, or to meet someone for a lunch date. Bruegger's Bagels is a great place to eat and I highly recommend it! In my opinion it's one of the places that make Church Street, Church Steet.
