Ruby Tuesdays are consistently good for a road warrior like myself looking for a fresh salad bar with my meal. Salad bar is well stocked, everything fresh. Tried the avocado chicken sandwich that was served hot, juicy & thick chicken breast, w/fresh bun. Great service at bar. Best RT meal I have had in a while.

I continue to be very pleased with this location over the many years I have lived in Hampton Roads. They are "consistent", which cannot be said for locations on the "southside" and this location is far and away better than the Patrick Henry Mall location which has been closed for some time. Wait staff has been good to very good on every occasion I have been here even under awkward circumstances. Overall food quality has generally been as good to very good, better than I expected. This is a "go to" choice since they offer many choices plus you cannot loose with the salad bar which comes with most meals.

I don't really care to come here. A meal for two cost me and my husband $45.00 before tips. The salad bar is wack and if you do add in the salad bar, don't get pasta as your main entree. It'd be a waste.

I have eaten here for years and had pretty much stopped because (1) the salad bar was extra and (2) they always rushed the meal. The last two times I have eaten there changed my mind. The salad bar is included in more of their entrees now. Their salad bar was always one of the best around. In the past we would still be eating the salad and the wait staff would deliver the appetizers and five minutes later the entrees. That also did not happen the last two times we ate there. Food delivery was nicely paced even though they were busy. I appreciate the improvements and will go back now.

I can't deny the fact that if you have been to one Ruby Tuesday, you have been to them all. This one has been my regular watering hole for about 3 years now, and I can't say that I have ever been disappointed. The service here can be top notch, but like all restaurant establishments, it depends on the staff on the day you arrive. I have a tendency to sit at the bar, and the service has been hit or miss. However, there are some standout bartenders whom I always get excited to see. I can't say that I have ever partaken of the salad bar (nor ever perused it), but I assume that it is worthwhile due to the number of people I see flocked around it each time I visit. Otherwise, I can't say that there is any entree that I am particularly excited about. Well, maybe the New Orleans Seafood platter, but it tastes like it needs just a couple more herbs and spices. They do offer a brunch on Sundays, but I do not believe that the dollar-to-food ratio is palatable. Anyway, I would recommend grabbing a happy hour drink (which was always my main reason for visiting), get a quick appetizer that might be on special, and jump on their free WI-fi, but save your main food-chomping experience for another venue.

Had a long day and stopped in for a quick bite and a beverage to unwind as it was convenient tomHotel. Salad bar was fair and consistent with what to expect at Ruby Tuesday. Chicken Tortilla Soup was "OK" except I couldn't find the chicken? Way too much drama in the bar area! Employees all complaining about schedules, personal drama, sex lives of other employees. Oh, and the fact that the kitchen is screwed up because the cooks are all on something [drugs]. Wish I had known that before I ordered! Best part was that all of this was going on with what I assume was a manager, as she was emphasizing the fact she had her keys.

Do not order a steak here. The ribeye was so salty we could not eat it and sent it back The replacement steak tasted on the verge of going bad, guess that why the first one had so much salt on it. Salad bar was just so so. Guess this place is off my list of ever coming back

I ate here with my parents back in January (but hadn't bothered reviewing) after receiving a gift card from our next door neighbor (or we wouldn't have gone). We've eaten at Ruby Tuesday (not this location) 2 times in the past and weren't very impressed and this visit did nothing to improve our view of this chain. It was fairly crowded and we had to wait in the lobby next to the door (which kept letting in the freezing cold air) for ~20 minutes before being seated. Before coming I had a fun time on their website trying to find a menu item that wasn't horribly unhealthy and decided I was going to try their BBQ chicken with white cheddar mashed potatoes (which are surprisingly not very fattening) and steamed broccoli. When the plate got here the broccoli was already cold so I sent it back and had to wait another 6-7 minutes for a fresh plate. Finally it got back and I was fairly happy with it. The sauce on the chicken wasn't too sweet and was nice and tangy, the potatoes were delicious, and the broccoli was your average steamed broccoli. My main complaint (and my parents) were that the portions were very small (probably because Ruby Tuesday's is trying to look upscale and fancy with their plating as of a year or two ago). My parents both ordered the Top Sirloin also with the cheddar mashed potatoes and broccoli. One thing was evident right away: they both received significantly less potatoes and broccoli than I had gotten with my chicken. Not sure if this is cost cutting due to chicken generally being cheaper than steak but it was pretty disappointing. The steak itself was described as being "ok" with some gristle here and there but it was edible. After having 3 "ok" meals at Ruby Tuesdays we probably wont be giving them another try (and pray we don't receive gift cards).
