I wouldn't say this is the best food on the planet. It's pretty good. I live nearby and we have delivery often. The delivery is fast and friendly, the lady knows us when we call. They are pretty good. I wouldn't drive from far away for it but I have never had any complaints.

Hot & Sour Soup - awesome. Flavorful, big portion, comes with a generous portion of those crunchies. Orange Chicken - Delicious, right amount of sauce and flavor, comes with carton of white rice on the side Chicken Fried Rice - mom's order, she was too busy eating it but when I asked her she said "it's great" and later said she wished she's ordered more side dishes. This place is awesome. They're in Sterling Park and delivered all the way to Lowes Island! Fell in love with this place when my boyfriend showed it to me. Still order from here years later. Please keep delivering to our area and we'll keep ordering!

My review does not include dine-in, but rather, only speaks to my dinner delivery tonight. Very pleasant lady took my order, speaking it back to confirm the correct items. I like that; it shows appreciation. My order was to take 30-minutes...it arrived in 30-minutes, and it arrived complete and oven hot. I also appreciate that...!!! To be honest...I ordered way too much food. The portions that arrived were huge. At home this would be okay, and enjoyed tomorrow for lunch. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat it all, and while I have a small fridge in my hotel room...this is a hotel...I travel tomorrow and can't take it with me...so I become a bit wasteful...sorry. The hot & sour soup was okay, not great, but was good. The Asparagus combo was really "huge"...but quite tasty. It had many more different veggies than I was expecting. This also was a really good and enjoyable dish. The Pork Egg Foo Young was exactly what my mind was wanting, and my taste buds were extremely grateful. What can I say to management...offering any opportunities for improvement? Not a darn thing...you nailed this meal perfectly. What a real enjoyable dinner. Give em' a try, I suspect you will be greatly surprised...!

Orange chicken was great! Lo mien a little bland but added soy sauce it was much better. Would definitely order from them again.

Discusting. And i was over charged by like 12 bucks. The general tso was like bagged microwaved low grade excrement. The chow main was like a bowl of cabbage soup puke. Was a terrible experience. I will never eat here again. My stomac is still churning from last night. Couldnt even eat it.

We wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant for delivery. We ordered almond chicken, beef lo mein, a spring roll, and chicken fried rice. Unfortunately, the best part of the meal was the steamed rice that came with the almond chicken. The almond chicken, while the flavor was right, was very soggy (mostly batter, not much chicken) and visually very unappealing. The lo mein was nearly flavorless. The noodles were very greasy and did not taste like beef at all. The little bits of beef I could find did, however, have some flavor to them. The spring roll was grease-logged and burnt. Basically inedible. The chicken fried rice was also flavorless and very dry. Most other Chinese restaurants I've been to use soy sauce flavor the rice. Apparently they like to be different here. The rice was very light-colored and dry, as if they barely used any soy sauce at all. And again, lacking any sort of chicken flavor here. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from Hunan Cafe again. I can get the same quality food from Panda Express for less.

I think this is the best Chinese in Sterling. We have had several menu items, but I always go back to the kung pao chicken, the sauce is great here. Everything seems fresh and the prices and coupons are great.

So I haven't had chinese in a while and was craving it, I decided to try out a place that dropped off a menu at my door. Apparently, there are Hunan Cafe I thru V. I can say that III was decent. I ordered a hot and sour soup, yummy! Had plenty of tofu, mushrooms and other veggies, and egg whites. Also had chicken and black bean sauce and asked for broccoli, it comes with green peppers, onions, carrots, celery, green onions. Again, yum! Also the chicken came in a round plastic container as opposed to the usual chinese take out box, so it had alot more! yay! Finally, ordered chicken lo-mein because I needed a minimum order of $10 and instead of getting egg rolls or something small, my gluttonous a$$ got lo mein. This was delicious too. I got all that for $18 and I'll be fed for two days, not bad. they also came after 30mins exactly. I will definitely try them again.

Ok so I use to eat here alot due to their fast delivery and tasty food UNTIL yesterday. (Sick just thinking about it) I got a shrimp and broccolli and my co worker got a beef with broccolli and I noticed tiny buggs within the sauce. I picked one, then another, then another and counted about 8 and my co worker found 5..........we immediately called the place and asked for a refund and to complain about the buggs in our food and her response was, "U WANT ME TO MAKE ANOTHER"?. Uhhhhh NO!!!!! Delivery guy came back to check the food and to pick it up but when we showed him the buggs he said it was WICE, my reply was IT'S NOT RICE, and rice is not black nor does it grow leggs. OMG.....never eating here AGAIN!!!!! If i didnt pay attention we would of never noticed. After checking online bugg pics it seems we almost ate baby roaches........YYYYYUUUUUUCCCKKK!!

Delivery time was slightly under half an hour this go. I'd already packed leftovers from dinner and was preparing for a wine dinner, so I opted for fried wonton. My coworkers sprung for pepper steak, eggrolls, and egg drop soup. They pinch their wonton like tortellini, creating an attractive but difficult to eat wonton. Their dough runs thick, so you kinda have to nibble off the tips, then eat the rest in two bites for chewing room. Any other attempt would result in an abused esophagus. *cough* Should've tried the soup. Oh well. Eggrolls with mustard were actually pretty good, but the sesame chicken was average and their plain fried rice in their combo deals was soggy from having used a fresh batch of rice. Dried like it was undercooked. Szechuan beef also failed to wow. Crab rangoon was heavy on cream cheese but still a saving grace. Crispy beef and bbq spare ribs may be the only acceptable things to opt for.

The most accurate thing I can say about the food here is that it's edible. Not disgusting by any means, but just average.

We used to eat here a lot and somehow it fell off our radar for a year or so. Not anymore! We are going to make this our go-to place again. This is my first time to review them. Got carryout last night. They were slammed...it was prime dinner time on a Friday night and they were doing a brisk carryout business while the phone was ringing constantly and a lot of people standing around/coming in and waiting for their orders. Plus 2 drivers looking up delivery addresses. I was told it would be 15 minutes, it was 25 - but the cashier apologized profusely for the long wait which was nice. Got home and the order was just what we had ordered - Sweet/Sour chicken, chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice and Beef LoMein, Hot sour soup and egg drop soup. Pretty standard americanized chinese food and everyone was thrilled. No complaints about anything and enough for lunch tomorrow. The portions are larger since they are in plastic bowls/containers instead of the "standard" takeout boxes which is nice for an easy microwave reheat or transporting to the office for lunch.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
