When you walk inside... Ask for a free sample of gelato. Then close your eyes... And imagine cobblestone streets, Italian accents, Vespas speeding by.... It'll take you right back to Italy. At least it did for me. I've had gelato in the States a couple times, but never anything like this. It's a lot cheaper than a plane ticket, that's for sure. Really though, the rest of Taste is a super fun joint, with artisan and locally made products (sauces, wine, etc.), making it a good place to look around for a new "taste" of certain items. The service was really great as well. The lady that served me gelato was generous with the portion size and made conversation rather than treating me like a number. I haven't tried lunch or dinner here yet, but will have to soon. Really like the atmosphere. And oh yeah, the GELATO. Ciao.

If I could eat here everyday without going broke I would. Thank you Taste, for giving me the amazing sandwiches I never even knew I wanted. Perfect bread. Perfect meat, cheeses and toppings. I almost always get the Peter's Pick and I have never been disappointed. The food is fresh and worth any wait.

Moderately pricey (that is if you're doing lunch here everyday), but well worth it! I haven't had a single bad order yet! My favorite is the Back Bay BBQ chicken salad and the Lynnhaven sandwich (veggie sandwich...but ask to add turkey to it)! Love the fact that they support local businesses (they sell all kinds of goodies like nuts, jellies, sauces, crackers, etc) AND local artists. TIP: ---Do yourself a favor -- sign up for a Taste Buds Rewards card/account, especially if you frequent their establishment often. The more points you rack up the better -- buy 12 sandwiches or salads, your 13th is free!! AND you'll receive a $25 gift card after spending $500. I know what you're thinking..."I'm not going to spend $500 there." Well sir/madam, you are sorely mistaken. You will and you will be thanking me for informing you about their rewards program! --- Try their ice tea; it has nice apricot/fruity notes! I think it might even be made in house...correct me if I'm wrong.

Great spot! Love their variety of menu and also all the extras like sauces, dips, chips, wines etc. you can purchase to add to your meal or take home. They have it all sandwiches, salads, ice cream, sides, so much to choose from anyone can find something they like here. Heard about it from a friend and was glad we checked it out, also has good hours of operation and location. They also have a rewards card and everytime we have gone there service was awesome! Will continue to return :)

Still a fan of the TU brand. Good tasting sandwiches all throughout their locations. I managed to keep my purchase just to a sandwich today despite seeing all the awesome madness of various foods being made. I can't remember what I ordered but it had prosciutto and turkey in it. A good sandwich... Just wish it were a little bigger.

Perfect spot for delicious sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, local brew & wine and more!! Chill atmosphere if you come solo or with friends

A little pricey but most of the food is worth it. Sometimes you do get what you pay for. Like the health options. Good sandwiches, salads and selections from the "deli". Gets crowded at lunch so you might want to call ahead if you're taking out.

I loved the whole idea behind the place and it was great service but I didn't really enjoy my sandwich all that much. It was good enough to eat but it was really dry and the bread hurt my mouth it was so hard. They left two things off my order. But I bought some snacks there that I enjoyed more then my meal there. Would go again for the unique snacks.

This TASTE is the flag ship location for the upscale local chain. If you have a business inquiry, or need to talk to the peeps in charge the Hampton store is the place to start. My wife and I had arranged to meet our closing agent for a new home purchase and thought this would be a perfect quiet place late in the morning when they first opened. We nailed it and almost no one was in the store and thought we pulled off a great idea. The building was constructed around four years ago and looks more like it should be in a historic area. Don't get me wrong about it's appeal. The aesthetics are very cool, it just seem out of place to me. They are positioned across from the library. Parking has never been an issue for me at the late afternoon hour, but lunch is a challenge with spaces to the side and rear only and not of great quantity at that. The lot is always tidy and landscaping is attractive. I like the way it is situated directly off Hampton Blvd as access is very easy in and out with a signal light. Once inside you will find a very cool sleek experience that is open. The interior is well lit with tons of windows and sky lights. I always get a feeling of a inter city flat with exposed brick features and steel poles with a high open air ceiling. Everything that you are use to getting at TASTE can be found here plus more. A bonus is a larger kitchen, I think they have more to offer. Also a larger refrigerated area for beer with lots of Craft choices including our locals. On my last visit due to the holidays they had tons of gift boxes out. Again, a tradition for this local chain is the marvelous gift boxes that may be pricey, but will be the most unique food/drink idea in our area. They also have a delivery service. For those dining in there is a major wood table that probably seats 15-20. Then tables around the corner of the building that overlooks the road, this is my favorite place to sit. The entire area was clean when arriving around 11 AM on my most recent visit. Those preferring to set outside they do have a small patio. Staff were all busy preparing for the lunch rush that occurred around 30 minutes later and boy did it rush. My wife and I ordered and was given a buzzer. My wife a chicken salad, I can't recall there catchy name and me a Lobster Bisque soup. Our order was up in a matter of minutes and we went around the other side to pay. Lucky me I had not cashed in my TASTE rewards in so long it took care of lunch. My wife loved her sandwich and would get again. For me the lobster bisque was a disappointment. The flavor was not spot on, no chunks of lobster either. I would not get this again and stick to my staple sandwiches. We met our closing agent around 12 PM after she got tied up and ran late. This is when I realized it was a mistake to hold a meeting here. The speakers are in every corner and they crank up the music. It has also completely filled in and was very loud. None of this is there fault and no star deducted. I am in love with TASTE and this flag ship location is pretty awesome. But for me I will choose my neighborhood Bayville TASTE around the corner from where I live. I know all of the staff and find it just as suitable even if it does not carry 100% of there products. I will be back to the Hampton location for long I'm sure.

This place is good for a quick lunch or a snack. They have various sandwiches and the ones I seen and have tried are good. I recommend the Northender, I added baby spinach and Banana peppers and my husband got the barbecue chicken salad everything was yummy. It would be nice if they added more hot sandwiches and sides. Definitely a good lunch place and it's not a long wait! I'll be back for dessert and gelato!

It's hard to leave a detailed review, because I didn't pay a lot of attention to what I was ordering. Whatever I got was very good though. You see, I came into Taste Unlimited pretty exhausted. Due to various circumstances, I'd been driving around Portsmouth until 2am, and ended up only getting 3 hours of "sleep" in my car before sunrise (I say "sleep" because it was more of a string of 10-15 minute naps with me waking up for a couple minutes for every small noise outside). After driving around a good bit again, I ended up at Taste for lunch. I was too tired to deal with reading everything on the menu to see what sounded good, so I skimmed the ingredients on the daily special, decided they sounded good enough and ordered that. I think it had turkey and romaine lettuce. Aside from that, I couldn't tell you what was on that sandwich, but I can say that it was very good. Their house tea (peach flavored, iirc) was also quite good. I got some seafood-type flavor of chips that were really lackluster, so I'd stick with more typical flavors for your chips (they come with the combo/daily specials). It was a fairly sunny day, so I ate at one of the tables outside. Surprisingly, no one else was doing so. Great place though, it'd definitely be worth checking out again when I have the mental capacity to actually examine the menu lol.

Well since my last review was more than two years ago, it's about time I update this guy. Taste still holds strong at 4 stars (probably more like 4.5, but no halvsies here), and remains one of my go-tos for a sammie in Norfolk. I was in the 757 this past weekend and made a point to swing by and pick up a late lunch on my way out of town on Sunday. Looking back at my last review, I remembered that there was a time when the blackened tuna wasn't offered regularly. However, I've been back multiple times since then and it's been available each time! Clearly, that's what I ordered on Sunday: Blackened tuna on wheat with spinach, tomato, cheddar, and low fat house dressing. The sammie was stuffed to the brim and overflowing with fresh deliciousness. I scarfed down half almost immediately, and saved the other half for a few hours later when hunger struck again. My only regret? Not getting a second sammie for today! Until next time, Taste...

This place is absolutely worth coming too, every time I come here, there's a different menu and I love it. Everything I have tried I loved , there's is also a wine bar as well. You can't go wrong with the choice of wines the bar offered. They also have a corner where they have a wide range of choices for wine, there's always something new. This place has a deli , wine bar and a mini store , you can't go wrong here I'm telling you.

I wanted to like this place, I really did. I was disappointed . Tried the almond joy gelato, wasn't very good at all. Was really hard and no flavor. Had the peters pick for lunch; ham & provolone with chips and their sweet tea. My husband had the Ghent sand which. Not much flavor and breads are hard to chew. I would've been better off going to subway.

'Erbody already knows about Taste's stellar sandwiches and soups, but did you know about their dinner to go options and how awesome those are?! A good friend of mine recently had a baby and I had exactly no time to cook, but still wanted to bring a meal. Taste to the rescue. They have literally about 10 choices of dinner entrees, from sesame crusted tuna steaks to pulled pork bbq. All of the dinner entrees come with 2 sides (either small or medium, depending on how many entrees you buy) and the side choices are just as vast as the entree options. When I got there everything looked so good I figured I'd buy my families dinner there, as well. So I got 2 crabcakes (which looked amazing) and 2 sides for the new baby family and 1 lb of pulled pork and 2 sides for my family. The whole thing came out to the about $28. So I fed 5-6 people good quality food for $28. Unheard of. Anyway - I also may have sampled their delicious gellato while waiting. Also awesome.

The multitude of their completely positive reviews should be enough to bring you in. Their food is delicious enough to bring you back. Grab their menu and make a checklist of it...you'll want to try every one of their amazing sandwiches.

I love this place, everything is fresh and made to order everyday! What I love about this place is that they also offer authentic jams, butter, and gelato and that's why I gave TASTE 4 stars with this being a place where your main items are sandwiches. Plus the employees are very helpful and sincere.

Great sandwiches and deli. There is also a nice grocery. I had the chicken sandwich and my friend had the roast beef. Both had great taste and the bread was fresh with a nice crunch. My only issue was that the parking is bad. For lunch this place is busy and you'll most likely have to park on the street. Definitely a place to go back to.

East Beach Sandwich Company is WAY better than this place. I wasn't impressed especially paying $99.00 for 4 sandwiches, 2 salads, & 4 drinks. I picked up the food & after getting home I found that the tomatoes were not fresh, bacon was not freshly cooked, & the whole meal lacked taste. The service was also lacking. I've learned my lesson, stick to what I know, I know East Beach.

I had a good experience at Taste. I got the Lynnhaven sandwich. It was really good. I will get the pimento cheese spread seperate. They have alot of specialty foods, homemade goods and just different items you can't really get anywhere else. Soo many things to acquire. You really have to just go here to appreciate the selection of goodies. They also have gluten free itens as well.

Tried the Beach Club sandwich and some Pinot Grigio for breakfast! They offer lots of the homemade foods and great stock of wine and other foods made to order. I love the gelato as well, can't find many of those around the area. Definitely recommend for breakfast, lunch, or just a relax spot for wine or coffee break. Only thing is the portions are a little smaller than expected, my sandwich was filled but average in size for $8.99.

Taste has what it's called. Everything I've had has been delectable. Sandwiches are great, salads are awesome. Only problem is the price. I'm sure they use fancy ingredients, but a meal coming in around $12-15 is kinda upsetting. I'd rather go to a seat down restaurant and grab a bite for the same price. The large salads are about $9 which I might say are the only thing worth their price, because they're huge. Side note I love the fact that their beers are the same price or cheaper than their non-intoxicating beverages. Plus they have a pretty good spread of local breweries.

It's time to update my review of Taste. Y-U-M. I'm adding another star. I was impressed with this place on my first visit and my sandwich was delicious and fresh on some very good fresh baked bread with a ton of sandwich meat and cheese. They don't give you tiny sandwiches, which is for the best, because they don't come cheap. I've visited Taste many times and been to many locations throughout Hampton Roads now and am a huge fan. My favorite location is either the Norfolk one or the Hilltop location but I often visit this one, Norfolk, during lunch with friends from work. It tends to get pretty crowded around lunch time because it's right on top of the Navy base and there are tons of cute young airmen running around in their Tom Cruise Top Gun outfits as well as college students in here grabbing lunch. There is very little parking in the actual parking lots attached so mostly you'll be parking parallel on the two side streets which does stink but it's OK once you do it once or twice it's old hat. My personal favorite sandwich now that I've had a few is the Boardwalk which has honey smoked turkey, applewood bacon, swiss cheese, some really good house slaw, and house dressing on French bread. It is AMAZING. I love the dressing and slaw with the turkey and bacon - yum yum. It's huge so I usually get a half sandwich which is about $6 or so. I also love their Brunswick Stew soup which is really hearty and you get a fairly large size for $4.99. They have tons and tons of drink options - I prefer the Gold Peak Slightly Sweet Green Tea, it is amazing, but they have bottled waters, juices, sodas, etc. as well as tons of beer and wine options. They sell biscuits, cakes, cookies, pies, sandwiches, large portions of their pasta and chicken salads as well as pre-packaged sandwiches, soups and salad for lunch on the go if you aren't eating in. I love their fresh foods and natural selections and I always find something delicious in here to sample while I want for my sandwich to be done. They also have a rewards program which you can register for by your phone number and get points towards a free sandwich after so many purchases. All good stuff! And yummy!

Mmmmm YUMMY!!! We (my coworkers and I) LOVE coming to this place. Once we came here everyday of the week. Well, if you have been here once you will know that this place is pricey. The sandwiches are made to order or you can pick from a menu of other choices. This particular location also offers a bistro where they have various things (such as ribs and various salads). The sandwiches taste so fresh! They also come packed and loaded with the meat and fixings of your choice. It does get pretty hectic in here around the lunch hour. As some hopefully may have noted, parking sucks and we usually have to park within the neighborhood. They also have an area where you can buy different types of sauces or cheeses for example. I used to drive by this place wondering what it was. I'm glad I took the plunge and found out. The only draw backs--lower those prices and fix the parking issue!

  • Sean M.

Here's the thing...as you know the sandwiches are great. I would love to give this place 5 stars but the service isn't that great. Waiting ten minutes for a to go order of soup is ridiculous. But other than that its not that bad.

Great sandwiches. I like the design and how everything is laid out within the establishment. Will be going here with commissioner maffei next time he's in the Hampton roads area

What I would refer to as somewhat of a "boutique" sandwich shop. Great little sandwiches, desserts and other novelty foods. The sassy pimento cheese is to die for. A great lunch spot, and service is pretty quick. They even have a few local VA brews and wines on deck. Prepare to open your wallet a bit because they are a bit pricey ($13-$17) for a sandwich, chips and a drink.

This was my first time at taste unlimited and I am very impressed with the quality, however I was very irritated with the parking lot/parking situation. I got the Chic's Cobb salad wrap and I was blown away. Most wraps I've gotten have very little meat and stuffed full of vegetables but that was not the case with this wrap! There was lots of chicken, lots of blue cheese, lots of avocado, and it was just Heaven wrapped up in this tasty tasty thing! I cannot wait to go back and try something else from this place!

Every other Saturday or so the company I work for buys lunch for us from here and I'm always extremely happy with the food and service! The sandwiches are fresh and delicious and leave me wanting more! I am very pleased with this restaurant!

  • Tawny A.

I consistently get excellent quality food, hand crafted for a nominal fee. I think they are really reasonably priced for their gourmet vibe and I always enjoy trying new drinks or spreads and pastries. I don't think I have ever got the same thing twice- there are THAT many good looking things to try! I think the item that shoots them from a 4 to a 5 is their pimento spread. If you love a good pimento cheese sandwich, or just say....eating it with a spoon and some crackers....well then, you have found Mecca!

Consistency is a good word to describe Taste Unlimited. After moving from their old location on Colley Ave into what used to be Bazemore's (a mom and pop grocery store) at the foot of the Hampton Blvd bridge across from the Larchmont Library, Taste Unlimited is still the place to go for quality grab and go food, sauces, wine, cheeses and a small but eclectic selection of craft beer. While we were in town, we picked up and tried quite a few items. We indulged in everything from BBQ to sandwiches to potato salad. All tasted terrific! My wife and I were so infatuated with the sauce for their BBQ that we had to buy some to take home with us. With tremendous help from the lady behind the counter, we learned that they use an Eastern North Carolina sauce in their BBQ. It's a vinegar based sauce loaded with pepper. The nice thing about this sauce is that it does not take away any of the flavor from the BBQ itself but only accentuates it and adds a little bit of a spicy kick at the end. This sauce is apparently very popular because they did not have any on the shelf and there were no extra bottles in inventory so we had the grab the one from the display. Can't wait to break out this sauce when we cook some ribs for the upcoming Super Bowl. The sandwiches from Taste Unlimited have been top notch for as long as I can remember and might be the best I have ever had. What makes these made to order sandwiches great is not only the fresh and top quality french bread, meat and cheese they use, but also the super delicious dressing. The dressing makes the sandwiches go from great to extraordinary. The dressing tastes like a mixture of spicy yellow mustard and ranch. Describing it as such does not serve it justice. Fearing spoilage and spillage, we decided it would be better to order the dressing online rather than pack in our suitcase. Otherwise I would have tried to haul a truckload of the stuff with me.

My brother took me to taste to get a sandwich while I was visiting him from California. I tried the great neck and chocolate ice cream as well as a bottled soda and little caramel chew. I have dreams about that sandwich to this day. I almost paid my cab driver an extra $45 to drive me to taste and get another sandwich before my flight. That sandwich was amazing. The soda was so rich and delicious so was the caramel. The gelato was good nothing to write home about but the sandwich is!

The Sassy Southern Pimento cheese is the jam! Its my go-to party food if i'm in a hurry or pressed for time. You can't make it yourself any better. Its not too mayonnaise-y and has a nice smoky flavor from the chipotle that gives it a little heat! Its great served on their sliced baguette or in the fall I'll spread it on the baguette and put them under the broiler for a few minutes until browned and bubbly! YUM! Another winner is the Blackened tuna salad. Big chunks of tuna and a spicy Cajun seasoning! Its great on ciabatta or with chips or crackers as a dip!

  • Alisha H.

Huge selection of deli, small market foods. Salads come chopped-style, with a huge portion of dressing on the side and large bread hunk (French or multigrain). Soups are constantly rotating and great selection of sandwiches. For the lunch crowd, there's a pre-made case for the quick grab n goers out there. The drinks are all on the walls, so grab what you will before pickup/paying. The refrigerated display case with pre-made/grilled veggies, ribs, etc is yet another option for a quick run through. Good selection of local wines and craft brews for those with an afternoon off, early evening free and a designated driver. Lots of seating at this location, and free wifi! Plenty of natural light and open atmosphere. There are a few shelves of olive oil, sauces, and other pantry fills for purchase, as well.

The food is always amazing. I always love the salads and sandwiches. Fresh and wholesome ingredients. The reason I give it a 4 is because the customer service always leaves something to be desired. They almost always get something wrong with the order (toppings left off, wrong dressing, forgetting bread, etc.). I always call my order in because trying to get food at lunch time means you'll be waiting a half hour or more. But even the time they tell me on the phone it will be ready I usually show up 15 to 20 minutes later and even then sometimes it's not ready. Paying so much for their food they should probably get it right and in a reasonable amount of time.

My roast beef sandwich was delicious and would have enjoyed a libation if it wasn't for the fact that I had to go back to work. It's a great open space, which could be good for a group. While you could opt for fast food down the street, this is a place I like to go to whenever I'm in town.

Artisan lunch fare + Gourmet food shop = Taste Unlimited. My husband quickly learned that it was best to order take away from this place, and go pick it up himself, because if he lets me stand there and look at all the delicious gourmet snack options, it will be a very expensive lunch. I love the Ghent and the Freemason sandwiches. While their sandwich creations are not necessarily unique or creative, since most of the combinations are things that I could have and have probably thought about putting together (roasted red peppers and mozzarella? No brainer!), the allure of Taste is the quality of their ingredients. Everything is well-crafted with the right balance of flavors and ingredients, making this far superior to most other lunch locales.

This is a review for this store for this one time. We were the 3rd people in the store, ordered chicken salad sandwiches with cheese and lettuce. Pretty simple stuff, right? It took over 10 minutes to get a very simple sandwich with no one else waiting. The sandwich was mostly bread with very little actual chicken salad. I don't mind paying their prices when it's called for. This time, not so much.

This was my first time ever eating at Taste Unlimited, and boy, was I missing out! My friends and I went during lunch hour, so it was pretty busy. When I first walked in, I noticed all of the different healthy snacks that were available (and that there were some samples for guests to try), gelato (which I will have to try next time), different drinks, hot meals for take out, and then the area where you order your food. I took a minute to look over the menu, and since I am currently not eating meat, there were only 4 vegetarian sandwiches to choose from. I went for the Inlet- fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh basil, balsamic vinaigrette, and basil mayo on an Italian flatbread. I ordered a whole sandwich, and I'm glad I did because it was just the right size to make me feel satisfied. The sandwich was very delicious, and is probably on my top 5 list of caprese sandwiches. It took a little bit for our sandwiches for our sandwiches to be prepared since it was so busy, but it was so worth it. There is also ample seating available for customers who were dining in. I can't wait to be able to try other items on their menu!

I'm a huge sandwich lover but for some reason I never heard about Taste for the first two years I was in Norfolk, then didn't get motivated to drive over until yesterday. (I feel like it never shows up on my Yelp searches?). I can't believe what I've been missing these last few years! Taste is such an unexpected fresh-ingredient restaurant that is so rare in Norfolk. They have salads, sandwiches, soups, beer/wine (most $5,$4, respectively), and a bunch of little gift-type stuff you can get for people (e.g. nuts, pastries, etc). The sandwiches all looked awesome, but I went after the Boardwalk and my girlfriend got the Northender. Both were really, really good and very unique! The portions weren't huge for the price (halves ~$6-5, whole $7-10) which is why I took off a star, but I get it- the food is fresh and fresh costs money. Also chips were just bagged types, but still $1.50 (they should think about stealing the recipe for fresh sweet potato chips from Field Guide...). I do have to give them credit for having a frequent-buyers card though. Another thing I really liked was the fresh tea! When we were there, it was apricot and it was really good even without any sweetener! The service was also very nice and relaxed. It took longer than I expected for our sandwiches (~10min), but it gave us time to try their samples around the store. They also plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating, which was great on a sunny day. Overall: I can't believe what I've been missing! I love sandwiches, so this food is basically heaven in Norfolk. The food all sounded great and we loved what we got. You pay a slightly premium price for what you get, but it's nothing to stop me from coming back. Hmm, so much to try there so little time...

I love this place! The menu is comparable to Panera Bread only better in my opinion. Not only do they offer lots of tasty items on their menu but they also have a small grocery store inside where they sell salsas, dressings, nuts, teas, wines ect. If you've never given this place a try it's worth it for a casual lunch.

Whichever location I LOVE Taste. Since the items are made in-house with fresh ingredients, it really takes everything to the next level. One if my favorite things is the Sassy Pimento Dip... I could eat my weight in that stuff. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered. Their wine selection is also great.

I'm in love-- this place is great. The other day, the sign outside said, "If you go 7 days without TASTE, it will make a WEAK," or something like that, and it's pretty accurate since I haven't gone over 7 day without going to Taste since I got to Norfolk. My favorite is the Commonwealth, with prosciutto, big slices of fresh mozzarella, basil, roasted tomatoes and olive oil. I love that they have a lot of specialty foods-- I've been enjoying trying all the flavors of Route 11 potato chips, and they have Vosges chocolate bars. They also have Q Kola and a bunch of other cool sodas you won't be able to find in most grocery stores, and wine from Veritas and other Virginia wineries. Their homemade pimento cheese is really good too-- not too much mayonnaise and just the right level of spice. A note for first-timers-- I was confused the first time I went because you order in one place and then pay at a different register once you pick up your sandwich.

Hipster deli. Lots of upper end deli selections at upper end deli prices. I had the Boardwalk, Turkey on baguette, apple smoked bacon, swiss, and slaw. Bag of chips and a drink cost me $11. It was all good, not sure $11 dollars good, but better than Subway. They have beer and wine, which is nice. I read the reviews about the gelato, and I'd say it was... ok. It's all just a little above ok. Nice ambiance, better than average food, higher than average prices.

I wish I could rate this higher, but yesterday sort of torqued me. Wife met me for lunch and had just ordered when I arrived. I kept it simple and ordered the Hilltop sandwich (their most popular!) defined as roasted turkey, provolone cheese and french dressing. I added a few veggies and received the buzzer-thingie letting me know that it was ready. Spouse and I find a nice table by the window and watch as the place starts to fill with the lunch crowd. Esposa's buzzer lights up and she procures her 1/2 sandwich and cup of tequila lime chicken soup - muy delicioso. I wait. And wait. We start looking at the other patrons trying to determine if they ordered before or after me. And wait. My beloved finishes with the soup and nears the end of her sandwich, commenting that it would have been nice to have eaten at the same time. Maybe my battery's dead on my buzzer, so I go to the counter to check. Lo and behold, they find my sandwich just sitting there and hand it to me. After paying, I am thankful for finally having the opportunity to partake of my purchase. I take a bite and .... Wait... what? There was something missing from the sandwich. One of those key ingredients that quintessentially defines it.... layer of provolone, check. Dressing, check. NO TURKEY? Nope, nada, nowhere... I checked the whole thing. Not a shred of meat on there. Back at the counter, they apologize and take it from me. In a few minutes, I return and they hand me my wrapped up Hilltop again. I open it and find that it still has a the bread with my bite taken out of it. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but it certainly didn't bring tears of joy. We've been here a few times, and have had pretty good experiences, but this takes a star off what I would normally rate this place, leaving it with an average of 3 stars. I'll be back but more skeptical.

The Northender is sandwich PERFECTION. Seriously. Honey smoked turkey, havarti cheese, bacon (GOOD bacon), crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, creamy avocado, and fresh basil mayo on two thick slices of the second best French bread you'll ever eat while not in France (second only to the Cheese Shoppe in Williamsburg). Now, I do have to caveat this by saying that you must and I mean, MUST ask in advance if their avocado really is ripe that day. I've had it before when the avocado was still too firm and it threw off the whole sandwich. I've since learned to ask and they will check for you and be honest. However, if the avocado's not ripe, you're still in luck - there are plenty of other sandwiches worthy of your appetite. Enter the Tidewater. Classic chicken salad, aromatic swiss cheese, salty country ham, and their tangy house dressing combine between their comforting French bread for an amazing rustic, as-American-as-it-gets treat. Just be prepared - if you're not used to country ham, please know it's extremely salty! Salty ham not your thing? Fine by me! Have a Great Neck; rare roast beef, smoked turkey, creamy fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, and SPICY house dressing, again on their wonderful French bread. What's not to love? Looking for a sandwich that will feed you for three meals? Feast your eyes on the Lynnhaven; warm chicken breast, their delicious creamy, tangy pimento cheese, tomato, baby spinach, bacon, and basil mayo. It comes on ciabatta, but I can't stay away from their French bread, so I get it on that. Seriously, you can eat on this thing forever. It's like the neverending sandwich. And oh yeah, they have all kinds of gourmet goodies; crackers, cheeses, pimento cheese, wines.... Dee. Lish. US.

Overall a great place. The Brunswick Stew is awesome. The chicken salad is also outstanding. The rewards program is a little inconsistent but overall a great place

I give this place 4 stars based on the fact that they serve beer & wine, have a lot of sandwich variety, interesting chip selections, fresh and organic ingredients, and a friendly and chill environment to hang out and nosh. I ordered a create your own with honey turkey, romaine, house sauce, and bacon on multigrain bread. Everything tasted really great even though I thought they were a little illiberal with the sauce/house dressing, thus making the sandwich a bit dry. The bread was made well but a little too floury for my liking. still great flavour though. my husband ordered a create your own rare roast beef, turkey, bacon, and romaine on a croissant and agreed about the lack of house dressing creating a dry mouth effect. my son ordered a provolone sandwich, plain on brioche. he loved two bites of it and then accidentally dropped it on the floor. they gave us a new sandwich (no charge) upon request, which I thought was really sweet. I'm definitely one of those people that loves expensive sandwiches so this place is a keeper for me. 2 whole sandwiches, 1 half brioche sandwich, 3 bags of chips, a bottle of water, a milk, and a bottle of organic apple juice...$34

Their food and wine are top-notch! I came for a Yelp event last night and they had scrumptious appetizers set out. My favorite was the goat cheese spread on bread with the most mouth watering roasted tomato slice on top. MMMMM making my mouth water right now! lol The place is classy, but you don't have to dress up. I have come for several wine tastings and always had a fabulous time.

Expensive yes. Great quality and taste...heck yeah! This is our lunch date spot and you can tell by the clientele that it ain't Panera. The bread is fresh and the sandwiches are usually stuffed...and completely fresh. Our favorite is the Princess Anne (which is vegetarian) but we'll add chicken or smoke turkey. It's redunk. The roasted red pepper aioli is so good. I'm normally not hot on mayo or mayo-type sauces...and definitely not a lot of it if it's on my food. However, they are super generous with the aioli and you'll hear no complaints from this girl. Most of the sandwiches are winners. I've had the crab sandwich and pannini and both kind of left me wanting more. I'm a MD native so crab cakes are in my blood. The Son ordered the cheese pannini and we were a bit disappointed after waiting forever and the sandwich was barely hot...the cheese wasn't even melted. The gelato selection is from Melt and not too shabby. We love the variety of snacks they offer. Haven't tried any of the baked goods. We did try one of the dinners for of our our lunches (some coated baked chicken breast) and were a bit disappointed. However, the ribs looked redunk and had us drooling over them. Again, these are pricey sandwiches but well worth it for us. Plus the VIP program is a nice incentive (although I wish they offered it to be used at all the locations instead of building up your purchases at only once location...you get enrolled in a separate account at each location).

Their vegetarian sandwiches are great! Unique, and great pairings on ingredients . However I had their Crab Cake sandwich the other day and it left much to be desired. Their mushroom soup lacked salt, but other than that was pretty good. I like their salad options, always make my own and experiment with their different dressings. Enjoy coming here for lunch mid-week. If you come during the lunch hours 11-1230, would recommend calling ahead and this way you can avoid the entire lunch line and your food gets made as you drive in. Highly recommended!

I had the lobster salad. Very good. The place was packed during a weekday lunch hour, so plan for a long lunch hour and hunt for chairs. Food was fresh and good.

We don't get in here very often, but we're always impressed when we do. Great selection of signature sandwiches, and some great heat and eat (by the pound) entree selections. ( Meatloaf :) ) Last trip in, we were just perusing the condiments and gifts, and found several things to try. The prices are okay, not cheap, but it won't break the bank. And considering the fun choices, well worth it.

Usually love this place, but today I ordered chicken salad sandwich and got a mayo and lettuce sandwich. There was literally 6 pieces of chicken on my 8 dollar sandwich. Also I was the only customer at the time, I got one other sandwich for my husband, and it took 15 minutes, for 5 employees to make 2 sandwiches. 25$ later I am super disappointed will not becoming back.

So I stopped by today on the way to pick up my dogs from the groomer. I've not been to a TU in forever and never been to this location. The most impressive part, to me, was all the choices! I had no idea there was more than sandwiches. Uh, hello! All sorts of stuff, including a vast selection of drinks, organic ice cream, homemade gelato, etc. Because I had no idea and didn't explore the store first, I ordered a Freemason (chicken salad with bacon, lettuce, and tomato, I think) and a 7-layer bar cookie, plus a regular coffee. Granted, I got the full sandwich, but it set me back nearly 14 bucks, so it wasn't thrifty by any means. The sandwich was on a thick multi-grain bread that had a great texture and flavor. The chicken salad was fine, but didn't have any particular flavor--if I was pressed to name ingredients, it'd be chicken and mayo, and that's it. The bar was fine. It was one of those bars with the graham cracker base and layered with chocolate chips, coconut, and some other stuff. I ordered it sight unseen, and probably would have made a different choice if I had known what it was. The coffee was fine too. It was coffee. There was a bit of a wait for my sandwich, but it was a busy day, so I can't really fault anyone for that. Everything was a-ok. I wouldn't rush back for the food I had, but I'd be interested in trying other things. The one super great, best thing, was that I left an item in the store by accident, and within five minutes an employee had found it and called me, then delivered it by hand to me at the dog groomer's. Five plus stars for service. I was incredibly, incredibly grateful to that individual!

Awesome fresh menu! The bake goods and gelato are all drool worthy. Nice selection of cheese, wines, treats.. etc. to shop for. I'll definitely be coming back for lunch again!

I like the space. Actually .. I kinda love the space. I love the items they sell there. And I was totally going to grab a sandwich tonight but I got way involved in talking to other yelpers/meetup folks. I'm gregarious guys (ie: social butterfly). What can I say? I have actually been here a couple of times now and I really did enjoy the food and drinks. They have a huge (possibly overwhelming) selection of sandwiches. My method: Choose 3 items you love and then choose the sandwich that has those items. Right? They have a small selection of wines and beer to choose from and their prices cannot .. i repeat .. CANNOT be beat. Especially during happy hour. I don't remember the last time I had a $4.00 glass of wine or pint of beer. Hmm... Maybe I don't patron the right watering holes. They also sell gourmet food items. I really love places like this. I want to buy everything in the store just so I can try it all. But alas .. my pantry cannot hold all those items. Definitely need to peruse/purchase some retail items next time. I would recommend this place for fresh sandwiches made to order with ingredients you might not expect to go together but marry very well. And happy hour. Yes. Definitely happy hour.

Amazing food. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. I'm going to miss this place when I move. Favorite place in Hampton Roads. Having a lactose intolerant wife, it's a bonus that they have a fantastic Gelato collection.

Been here twice since it became Taste. The building used to be Bazemore's market and I thought that Taste was a good business to go into here. The two times I have been here have been for lunch. I personally like the sandwich combos. I always feel that the sandwiches are quality breads and meats. Also, I like to pick out my own beverage among the large selection. I am not a huge fan of walking around to the other side to pick up your meal, but it seems to work. My family and I like the tall tables. Someone else just wrote that they got rid of their Blackened Tuna meal, but I just saw a sign on the marquee saying that it was back. Like another writer, I think the food is just plain good and the atmosphere is like a classier sort of deli. I have not tried any of the wines there, but I am sure that if you are into the wine scene, it is a nice place to sit and have a glass of wine. I enjoyed it and my kids liked it.

I absolutely love this place!! Although it is a little pricey, the food is definitely worth it. I believe all their ingredients are from local farmers and all their food is made in house. Not to mention, they have both vegan and gluten free choices, even in desserts!! (Seriously in love with the vegan icecream sandwiches!!!) What's nice is they have a rewards program that gets you free food and is free to join!!! Try the commonwealth sand! It's easily my most favorite item on the menu :)

One of my must have lunch spots! Although the prices are a little high, the quality is worth it! I am a big fan of their pimento cheese, I often stop to grab it for dinner parties! They also fill growlers of local beer, which is fabulous! Parking is very limited and unfortunate, really out of their control! I highly recommended calling ahead your order during lunch!

Oh how I adore taste! When my boyfriend and I moved to Virginia a couple months ago, taste was the first place we went to eat. It is located about a minute from our apt and seemed like a casual, local place to check out. Now we've been about 10 times since November, and I've always ordered the same thing, the princess Anne and the roasted red pepper soup, SO good. I always go with the intentions of venturing out and trying something new, but why mess with a good thing? The bf has gotten something different every time and has never had a complaint. Another huge plus for me, they carry Jeni's ice cream! Being an Ohio native, when I saw the familiar handwritten cartons my heart might've skipped a beat! It's not exactly local to this area but absolutely delicious! I cannot recommend taste enough, friendly staff, great food and lots of yummy goodies to look at while you're waiting.

I first came to Taste a year ago and a half ago when I moved from California. It's very hard to find a good place in Norfolk, and my wife and I were very pleased to find such an outstanding place. Since my first time at Taste, I've probably been back about 6 times. However, I had a horrible experience this past Saturday and is why I am now witting this review. This bad experience started when my wife and I ordered our sandwiches, I asked for the Hilltop, then quickly said wait I want to change it to another sandwich, but the person taking my order told me sorry but she already put it in on the computer. I asked if she could just change it since she literally did it a second before, but told me it was too much trouble and she would have to go back in and change everything. I said but no one has started making the sandwich yet and didn't understand the problem, but she just replied that she was sorry and she could try but it would be hard. A line started to grow so I just went with it. When I did get my sandwich and paid for it, I was surprised to open it and see two small slices of turkey and that was it! I have eaten here many times, and have never see such a skimpy amount of turkey before on any of their sandwiches. It was basically two pieces of bread. I took it to the cashier and showed it to him, which he basically shrugged off and said you got the half and we only put 4 oz of turkey on the half. He apologized and then walked away to do something else. First off they only put 2 oz on the half and it was no where near 2 oz in the first place. If he thought they put 4 oz on the half that alone should have been a red flag to him since it was no where near 4 oz. I talked to another cashier who looked at the sandwich and she said are you serious that's all they put on there? So she took it back and said she would get me another one and she was very sorry. I got my second sandwich and left. When I opened it later, I realized all they did was cut a small piece of bread and roll up a small amount of turkey to make it look like it was more. All though the food was great in the past, I will not come here again. The amount of money you pay as a customer here, shouldn't come with crappy service and a skimpy meal.

Enjoyed the chicken curry soup today with whole grain bread. I love the fresh atmosphere here. My DH and I like to meet up for lunch here from time to time and we are usually impressed with our meals. Today he had the Peter's Pick which is around $9. The advantage to this meal is that it comes with a drink and chips. The disadvantage is that you can't add anything to the sandwich. So, today's pick wasn't his fav because it was a very basic roast beef sandwich. All in all it deserves the full four stars. The tables are kept clean, the food is good and the service time is reasonable. We will venture back there many times I'm sure.

The best sandwich shop in all of HR! So good and so much awesome variety. The gourmet grocery they have put together is also filling a vacuum for specialty items that you really can't find at Harris Teeter and their ready-prepared items always look good. Can't really go wrong with a sandwich but I always buy the chef's special. Gets crowded around lunch time with the base crowd so I would try to call ahead or go a little off-peak but even when its busy the place is big enough where you can find some space and the service is pretty fast.

    (5)
  • Yajaida P.

I adore! My go to in HR. Fresh food, local food, REAL food! Bread is made here, tuna fish is not that grey sad looking fish out of the can, veggies are bright and vibrant, lettuce has a crunch... It's amazing how much fresh ingredients make a difference. The menu is extensive and you can't go wrong with the Princess Anne, but I have yet to be disappointed in any item. The shop is full of really great items to bring home and I always pick up a Roasted Red Pepper Aioli and try all of the samples in store. They do have outdoor seating that is dog friendly, but it is small and off the parking lot, so watch your pup. This is also a small chain across Hampton Roads and each one has yet to disappoint. The location in Virginia Beach has the best outdoor seating which is super dog friendly. *Go right before or after the lunch rush*

I went here for lunch during Thanksgiving break. It's a decent place to get sandwiches for lunch if you find yourself in Norfolk, VA. I ordered the soup and half sandwich combo, with a shrimp salad sandwich and chili. The chili was good, very spicy though! The shrimp salad was a bit different from what I expected. I was expected the shrimp salad to have some mayo in it. The taste version of shrimp[ salad was just whole pieces of shrimp tossed in some vinaigrette. This place was OK, but nothing to write home about. I also have to mention that I'm extremely picky about what I eat, and am used to eating out in San Francisco.

Taste is a local treasure and a gourmet's paradise. It is a market-deli with sophisticated offerings and a casual atmosphere. Take-out, eat-in, and food and drink for entertaining. Since they've moved into the old Bazemores' market on Hampton Boulevard (from the Ghent location), they've expanded their menu, grocery selections, deli offerings, and so much more. They've also included enough tables to accommodate the large number of patrons who want to dine in. The food is delicious and the menu selections are original and tailored to the local vibe. Each of the menu items are named for local neighborhoods and well-known areas. They offer fairly regular wine-tastings, feature local artists' work, and include various local goods in their shop (beer, meat, gelato, pastries and cakes, etc.). The House dressing is one of Taste's original masterpieces and a required substitute for mustard or mayo on your first visit. The "Pair Two" option is a great way to sample a couple items and narrow down a daunting menu on your first visit, as well. Everything here is pricey, and you can expect to wait a bit for your lunch to be prepared, but you're paying for something special.

The pimento cheese is to die for..... And I might go as far to say better than my mom's. The sandwiches are a tad expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. I've always been pleased with my food here. The lemon bars are amazing as well. They have a great selection of food, snacks, candy and wine for a picnic or gift. This location is definitely the coolest.

Finally got a chance to try this place for lunch recently. I do miss the old Bazemore's, though. I stepped in from what I can only presume is the back door so I was a bit confused at the layout. I just chilled out for a couple of minutes and took my time to look around, which gave me time to read the signs on where to order and where to pick up. Confusion cured. They have an extensive sandwich, soup and panini menu. I opted for the portabello, roasted red pepper and tapenade panini with provolone for $8. It was very good with the mushrooms incredibly well seasoned thanks to the olives. I like the selection of funky beers and wines by the glass for $5. That qualifies as a bargain if you ask me. But, alas, I have to be Mr. Responsible at lunch time since I still have to head back to work. I had to quench my thirst with a bottle of spring water. Sigh...

Mmmmmmmm, Taste Unlimited. This food just makes me happy. I've heard complaints that they're a little pricey, but the quality completely justifies it being more expensive than Taco Bell. I mean, c'mon, yummy, fresh sandwiches and soups that will satisfy any craving. Plus, there's a little grocery of sorts with all kinds of magical treats. The Greenbriar Pita is among my tops, but the Portobello Bistro without cheese is a close competitor. Whenever I take someone to get lunch at Taste, it's a quiet meal in such an enjoyable way. Who wants to talk when you could be eating?

Ok, so I've been arguing with a friend whether this is called Taste or Taste Unlimited. Officially, it is Taste Unlimited but most people know it as Taste (because that is what it says on the box!). Now you can pay up or get paid (I expect a 10% cut). Anyways, you can easily drive past this little store on Colley. It sits on a corner with out door seating. It doesn't seem like much and resembles more of a small coffee shop than a deli that has sandwiches, salads and delicious baked goods. They also have all sorts of nifty tasty treats in the store, but you wouldn't know about those until you enter. It seems that people who have eaten there before are the only people who know about it. They don't do very much advertisements and I only found out about it through a school luncheon that bought food from them. Their sandwiches are delicious. They have crabcakes and pulled pork sandwiches with great sweet treats including chocolate bar cakes and such. Great place to buy a sandy and sit outside with friends. As with all things in Ghent, a little on the expensive side, but well worth it.

I love this place, especially because it's walking distance (by my standards anyway) from my house by ODU. The sandwiches and soups are amazing! The place is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. They also have draft mircobrews and wine tasting as well as a wide variety of gourmet snacks and treats in their "market."

Their sandwiches are soooooo good! Great to pick up sandwiches and go on a picnic! We love their Princess Anne and Mozzarella Bistro sandwiches (both vegetarian!!) We used to eat here all the time, usually on Fridays, perhaps twice a month. We LOVED their paninis. We'd have a sandwich, a few glasses of wine, and the kids would get gelato. Then they took the paninis off the menu but would still make them if you asked. Then, we went today, and they apparently got rid of the panini machine. Honestly, for a cold sandwich it's just not worth it. I can make that at home, and I want hot food. Such a bummer, we really liked this place despite it being a bit pricey.

Good sandwiches, quick service, fun stuff to browse while you're waiting on your chow. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I love that they always have a treat out for you to try. My favorite was the Mozzarella Bistro Panini. Yum!! Top the meal off with a gelato from Confetti and you're ready to rock!

Dude, I love this place. I went to the one in Virginia Beach as well and feel well qualified to say that their sandwiches are bomb! Huge, well made sandwiches that are actually filling and very tasty. Normally, I'm hesitant to shell out $7-9 for a sandwich but they are entirely worth it.

I have not been dissapointed at all. My new favorite sandwich is the Mozzarella Bistro- and I don't even like tomatoes (much). I also love being able to shop while I'm waiting. Very well named because you can explore an unlimted amount of taste variations. Building your own sandwich is my favorite. Trying different sauces and cheeses is grand. I love this place. The food is fantastic and if you're tired of boring tastes then you neeed to go here and awaken your taste pallet. Cafe style environment, fair price, good portions and outstanding quality. You can't go wrong.

Without question the best gourmet food and deli place in Norfolk. I was there for the week of their Grand Opening and the staff was extremely eager to answer questions and provide ample samples of their delicious treats. The sandwiches whether for takeaway or eat-in are superb and definitely worth the couple extra dollars over a Subway! My favs are the chicken Caesar wrap (moist and tender) and the tidewater (Virginia ham wins again). For dessert the seven layer bar can't be missed. The shop also stocks plenty of interesting sauces, marinades, spices, and more, many of which are hard to find elsewhere. It's an excellent place that I hop e lasts a long time!

I came into this place with no expectations, and from the looks of it, figured it'd be overpriced food. I got the Cheeesapeake, which had havarti, swiss, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and basil mayo. It was really good and the sandwich was a good size. Less than $5, although it's one of the cheaper items on the menu, I'd definitely fork over more for other sandwiches. My boyfriend had the Mozzarella Bistro sandwich... he's a cheese fanatic and said the mozzarella was really fresh, a great sandwich overall. I'll come back soon to try some other things on the menu, and hopefully for a wine tasting in the future.

I like this one even better than the Chesapeake one! It's bigger and has a better specialty food/wine area. I have noticed that its a bit longer of a wait for the same sandwich, but it's worth the wait and the expense.

I think it's a fitting deli to have in the Larchmont neighborhood - trendy and classy. My favorite sandwiches there are the 'Northender' and the 'Shore Wrap'. The only complaint I have for this business is the fact that one would likely have to call (at least) 24 hours in advance to place orders for delivery to buildings within a five-mile radius from their location, and that there is a $25 minimum charge (with free delivery).

What a cool, delicious place to grab lunch or a unique gift! I had the chicken panini and it was to die for. Their selection of gelato is also impressive, and the taste is outta this world. I would re-visit this place in a heartbeat...too bad I'm from Oregon!

I've eaten at several of their locations around town and have always been satisfied (although one (Shore Drive) manager accused me of scamming a cashier when I didn't get the correct change back). Being close to the Hampton Blvd shop, they're in a good location because there's nothing else of quality around. My coworkers call the place an overpriced Subway however, and I tend to agree that it is somewhat overpriced, but the staff is friendly, the food is good, but yes the store's layout is a little funky. I've never returned to the Shore Drive store after I "scammed the cashier" out of $10...

Some of the freshest sandwiches and ingredients I've had, and a great selection of little niche drinks and beer. It just gets a little crowded during lunchtime. It took me about 30 minutes to get my meal.

Overall, Taste is a great place for a sandwich, soup, chips, or anything lunch! They also sell some nice gourmet foods and bottles of wine to-go. I initially gave taste a less-than-great review for the crabcake sandwich, however, since then I have eaten several other items here. Their pimento cheese is outstanding--a little bit tangy and a little bit spicy. Most sandwiches I've tried are pretty good, especially the "Northender." Their pickles are great. The service here is very good, quality ingredients, and prices that are competitive for the area.

I feel like I should like this place because it's convenient to my work, but I just can't anymore. I've now been there a few times, and this most recent visit put me over the edge. Their setup is extremely confusing, ordering on one side, having to pay on the other, but not allowed to pay until your sandwich is made. They've invoked the use of buzzers, which you would think would make it more efficient, but this afternoon I went with 2 coworkers, watched them get their food and eat while I waited and waited with no buzz. Finally I went up and asked, and they had my name AND buzzer number wrong. I could understand if they were packed, but when my coworkers and I arrived there, it was literally only us and two other people in the store. It shouldn't take 30 minutes to make a panini, especially when there's always 5 employees walking around not doing anything. Of course by the time I got my sandwich it wasn't hot. It's not like their sandwiches are ever that much to rave about to begin with. Needless to say, I won't be going back. I give them one star for their delicious house dressing.

I've always loved Taste Unlimited and I definitely miss them in Ghent, however yesterday, we ventured down to the new location on Hampton Blvd. Parking is obviously more convenient now that they have a lot and our sandwiches were delicious as always. I think the the execution of the whole ordering/pick up experience needs some tuning though. We walked up to the order counter and after the person I was with placed his order, the employee handed over the buzzer. We explained our order was together, so I placed mine and he updated the buzzer for both orders. We got our drinks, chips, napkins, and proceeded to wait. The area surrounding the pick up area seemed a little confined. I guess people think that their buzzer won't go off if they are more than 6 inches from the counter, so when ours did go off, we had to snake through people standing around just to get to the counter. When we got up there though, it was just the original sandwich that was "attached" to the buzzer. Had to wait an additional 10 minutes before mine was done. I'm not going to say I won't be back because I know I will. I love their food. Just think a few more tweaks to the whole process are needed.

  • Phil C.

Here's the thing...as you know the sandwiches are great. I would love to give this place 5 stars but the service isn't that great. Waiting ten minutes for a to go order of soup is ridiculous. But other than that its not that bad.

Every other Saturday or so the company I work for buys lunch for us from here and I'm always extremely happy with the food and service! The sandwiches are fresh and delicious and leave me wanting more! I am very pleased with this restaurant!

Dee. Lish. US.

Best chicken salad I've ever had. It's pricey, but you absolutely get what you pay for.

Great food. Service can be very slow at peak hours ( which is to be expected). Fresh food and allows you to pick up a few grocery items or wine.

We love their Princess Anne and Mozzarella Bistro sandwiches (both vegetarian!!) Lunch time prepare to wait, but if you call ahead it makes life easier. They also have a VIP system where you get free sandwiches after purchasing 12 or so. Highly recommend!!

We used to eat here all the time, usually on Fridays, perhaps twice a month.

The parking situation is the only reason this is getting 4 stars. I drove around 3 times before finding a parking spot- but what can you do?

I love this place! They offer a huge selection of gourmet sandwiches and craft beers. Just what you'd hope for from a little gourmet sandwich shop. Lots of wine and cheese. Awesome gelato flavors.
