If I could give it 10 stars I would. This place has converted me into wishing I was born into an Indian family. The tandoori tiki dish is absolutely the best tasting meal I have ever had. Ever! It's incredibly savory and every bite had such complexity that can only come from considerable preparation. Just writing this is making me want to go there! Service is very attentive and the drinks are great as well! I'm a very happy customer!

Hit the weekend lunch buffet here after a 2+ year hiatus. I still think this is one of the prettiest restaurants in Hampton Roads. Service was pretty good, although they felt the need to bring out our check twice. Food was mediocre. A little weird when you walk through the first half of the buffet and it's all vegetarian and vegan dishes. That's Ghent for you I guess. Nice too much variety for meat eaters since I only remember 3 chicken dishes (tandoori and 2 curries). I was sad that they didn't have a couple of my faves I usually see at Indian buffets: the potato-pea curry and the crispy deep fried veggies. They did have a fried eggplant but it was too soft and over battered for my liking. I was here from about 1-2 and most of the food was lukewarm at best. LOVED the rice and carrot pudding though!

Neighborhood restaurant with daily lunch buffet. The food that they service in the buffet is mostly leftovers: from the rice to the salads to the bread. It is basically a hit or miss days of fresh food or leftover food. Take your chances. I no longer go there,p.

If you're in the area for lunch the buffet is definitely a best buy in Ghent. I have also eaten there for dinner on multiple occasions. It's good, but of all the Indian places I've been to, it's my least favorite. My go to order is a Malai Kofta and their interpretation never wins me over.

Wow wow WOW!! As normal, every time I come here the food AND SERVICE is superb!! Hands down my ABSOLUTE favorite restaurant!!

I really, really like their Palak (Saag) Paneer. I'm not a vegetarian; but for some reason, it's my go-to meal. I've brought friends here, and they all say the same. It's fantastic! The only thing I don't love is the parking lot that they share with several other businesses. Sometimes, it's really crowded and hard to find spots--but I suppose all of the great places are! Minor issue.

Best Indian Food in the area from Virginia Beach up to Williamsburg that I have found. Best atmosphere and interior decoration. Best staff. All around top notch.

Decent/ Average Indian food. This is not the best in Hampton Roads but they are consistent with the level of quality of food served. This place used to be amazing a few years back. Not sure what changed. The service is hit or miss. Sometimes a waiter will not show up for 10 minutes. Other times, it will be some of the best service you've had while dining out. The best thing about Rajput is the lunch and Sunday buffet. It is usually abundant with different varieties (including vegetarian) and you certainly will get your money's worth.

Went to the lunch buffet today and the food was warm. Mostly vegan/vegetarian fare, only 3 meat filled dishes. The food was ok. It would have been better if it were hot(including spicy hot). The service was great tho. My water never went empty. Naan bread was only served to the table once so nothing to sop the plate with. I'm a bit disappointed based on all the great reviews they received.

I've been living in Ghent for over a year and have been eyeing Rajput the entire time! Finally came in here and had the MOST wonderful experience. My server/bartender, Sonny, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious and not spicy at all (just how I like it!) Love this place :)

The lamb patia is amazing. YUM Service outstanding! The staff is very attentive. Price is Right

Lunch buffet at an Indian restaurant? New to me, but good nonetheless. I went there to grab some tandori chicken and some garlic naan to go but was coaxed into just going for the buffet to go. I grabbed a styrofoam container and went to work. Tandori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Massala, naan, Goat Byrani, some random vegan curry mix...MMM! I stuffed that container full! Being Filipina, I eat everything with my fingers- bad idea. I smelled like Indian food for 3 days. So did my bathroom. Regardless, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and their rice pudding is the BOMB! I'll be back for a sit down dinner.

Just when I think I'm ready to stop eating like a fat kid I go to Rajput for their lunch buffet. So do I eat conservatively and embrace the taste of their food? Or do I eat like a fat kid and embrace the taste of their food? It's a buffet... I went for the latter. Really. Three full plates of Indian heaven. What I like about this place is that they switch up what they serve from day to day. One day it will be heavy toward chicken and another day you'll find some beef. I'm a fan of basmati rice more than Jasmine rice so I pile loads of grain as if it were my last meal on earth. (What I said might just have been blasphemy to all my Filipino people out there.) My favorite dishes are the tandoori chicken and that green stuff (whatever the heck it is called - I always look for it whenever I go to an Indian buffet). It's always a special treat when some sort of eggplant dish is available on the buffet table. I'm used to always having a full glass of water at Indian restaurants so when I went empty a few times especially with adding their spicy red sauce to my meal I was a bit disappointed so I'm knocking off a star for service. Other than that you cannot go wrong at this place. The food coma you get after eating at Rajput is worth the lost production at work in the afternoon. If you need to have a working lunch this place is great because you can catch the wifi signal from Panera across the street.

I tried their lunch buffet and it was not so good. I have not had Indian food will so little favor. Their chicken tikka masala tasted like cream no spice at all. I prefer Southern Indian restaurant's but even if this is a northern area restaurant it should have some spice or favor. However, they do have the very good naan.

This location offers vegan options. The food is amazing. Savory and fresh. The employees and owner really care for their customers happiness and the quality of service and food they provide. Great for dining in or take out. It's never a disappointment. Try the tofu broccoli kadhai.

Super good- I have never eaten Indian food before and I am very picky- but my gf and I popped in here one Monday night- and I was soooo thrilled with it! The staff was wonderful- there was many different options to pick from - as well as serving sizes were large! Prices were kind of high but worth it!

I have no idea why this only has 3.5 stars, Rajput is my favorite restaurant in Norfolk. I moved here from DC 6 months ago and have been pleasantly surprised by the food selection here, but Rajput takes the cake. Their lunch buffet is my favorite!

  • Robin B.

Yup. Still love this place. Their online ordering is thorough/cumbersome, but gets the job done. Can't get enough of their lamb vindaloo...I cannot bring myself to order anything else it's so good. "Indian hot" is my next thing to do...the hot is good, nice heat with a good sweat. May need to wait until winter and sit outside. Service at all the times I've been here has been great.

Came here for the lunch buffet and was very impressed. The decor is very nice inside and the staff is really friendly. They were really on top of refilling drinks, etc. Very good service. They didn't have an incredibly diverse selection for the buffet, but what they did have was great. Their naan was on point, their eggplant pakora was melt-in-your-mouth awesome. I tried the chicken balti, and it was some of the best I've ever had. The chicken masala was also awesome. I went back for seconds. I didn't go for the dessert (rice pudding) because I'm not a huge fan of raisins (a staple in that kind of cuisine, I know, haha), but I would definitely like to return and try some of their other desserts. Sad they got some negative reviews below, but we had a really great experience and plan on coming back!

We went there a few weeks ago while driving around. It was lunch time. We were hungry. When I saw .. Lunch Buffet and Indian Restaurant I decided that was where I wanted to go. I love Indian Lunch Buffets. So based on some of the bad reviews this place got I was a little hesitant but I am glad we went. It was really pretty good. They brought out fresh naan and even to the table. It was a buffet. I suppose that is why my expectations started low in the first place. No where to go but up, really. I thought they did a good job. They brought out the beverages in a timely matter. They made sure to keep the food replenished. For what it is, I think it was fine. And I have no idea how the owners were conceited or rude to some people. I didn't get that at all. I dunno. I suppose they could've been having an off day but on the day we went, they did a perfectly lovely job. I've had better mango lassi though. Just say'n.

Had an early dinner at Rajput with two friends. We arrived before 6pm and the place was empty. They were open so we decided to eat. Appetizer was vegetable fritters. They were scrumptious and the serving sauce was great. We destroyed those quickly. Also had some garlic naan which is always yummy. Dinner was lamb patia, chicken curry, and chicken vindaloo. No complaints from our table. We all loved the food. It was nice that each of us could customize our spice level especially since I'm a wimp with spice. We had enough to take home for later. Price wise, you have to pay attention. We quickly racked up a large bill. While I don't feel it's overpriced, if you get apps and food things can get steep. We used a coupon from Restaurant.com which saved us $25 which was nice. Side note - the service is odd. I totally understand being of a different culture but the employees' interactions with us were strained, forced, and a bit weird. We brushed it off. Also apparently they have a lunch buffet which I might go back and try.

Ok food. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Waitress never came by and checked on us. We had been sitting for almost 40 min so I asked on the whereabouts of our food. She walks into the kitchen and back out....no answer..ni ask someone else 15 min later with the response "10 minutes" . Food finally shows...no one asks how it was....or anything.....we finish up....no one offers dessert or check....and we're not even on the back floor. We're right in the middle. People around us have gotten food and appetizers . Very bad service. I'll only come back for the buffet.

I used to really like Rajput, but after trying most of the other Indian restaurants in the area I'd have to say it has rapidly become my least favorite. I usually get the lunch buffet, but compared to most other Indian places, their food is just so bland. Nothing is even remotely spicy, and they usually have the same stuff every time. Recently I went around dinner time with a friend and we didn't realize that the buffet was about $17 until it was too late. Wow. There was literally nothing different from the usual lunch buffet fare, and yet it was almost twice the price for the same mediocre food! They also charged him $8 for a gin and tonic... where are we, Manhattan? Rajput isn't a bad restaurant, per se, but I would recommend Nawab, India Palace, or even Saffron over this place any day.

I have been a fan of Indian food since a recent visit to NYC. The craving for Indian fare finally became overwhelming last night. We headed for Rajput in Ghent after reading some Yelp reviews. The mostly positive reviews and proximity to other places we wanted to visit helped make the decision an easy one for us. We arrived just after it opened for dinner service and found a couple of tables occupied. We were seated quickly and given plenty of time to go over the menu. We decided to get an appetizer and entree to share. Our opener was the Curtain Raiser...a variety of their appetizers...5 different kinds...two servings of each...perfect. Very tasty with a delicious dipping sauce. Each had their own unique flavor, and we both loved them all. My favorites were the vegetable samosa and eggplant pakora. Our entree was the Tandoori mixed grill...served with basmati rice and to die for yogurt based sauce. We shared the proteins and veggies...I cut all mine up and mixed with veggies, rice and sauce...sooo good. Nothing was too hot, which was good for us being fairly new to Indian food. We also got a basket of the mixed breads. My favorite was the garlic naan (think I will go have some now), and his was the Allo Pratha. Service was good...our water goblets never empty, but not intrusive as we have experienced at other restaurants lately. We will definitely be making a return trip to try more items on the menu.

This is the closest Indian restaurant to us, which is still about 25 minutes away, so we've only done takeout here. I've still yet to try an Indian lunch buffet. They also have a cool online menu that you can order from so there are no mixups over the phone. One of my favorite naan breads is the Soya roti...great texture, onions, cilantro, and a nice heat to it. My favorite sauces are the raita and the pappad. The raita is your standard indian yogurt but its chunkier than I've had at other places and cools down the heat from the chilli naan. And the pappad are thin crackers that come with two excellent dips: a mint and onion chutney. The onion chutney I always mix in my entree and the mint can be enjoyed on top of naan. We tried another sauce that was awful: the achar...WAY too salty and foul tasting. Apparently it is pickled vegetables. My husband couldn't even choke that down mixed with rice. Overall, this is a great, authentic place we will be coming back to for awhile since it is so close and has a parking lot for easy access.

I highly recommend Rajput for their buffet. They have a little bit of everything from bread (Naan) to spiced vegetables and chicken. They even have dessert as well as Tandoori chicken available all for an affordable price of $9.95. Buffet on Sundays are from 12pm -3pm so you can eat for 3 hrs until your heart's content. If you decide to come any other time, their prices are quite steep unfortunately. From what I can tell, however they have quite tasty foods. They also do catering and take out if you're interested. They share a parking lot with GameStop, a juice place, Siam 21 and the Market at Ghent so parking can be a little tight.

I enjoy the atmosphere at Rajput and have almost forgotten that the Ghent location used to be home to a bagel shop. My husband and I really enjoy having a sit down meal here. It's quiet and intimate (save the obligatory loud person that always seems to be dining out when you are). The portions are very generous--my favorite is the vegetable korma; I always order garlic naan (delicious). Vegetable pakora is a great choice for starters. Also, chicken biryani=yummy! Perfectly spiced and fragrant. The simplicity of the tandoori chicken with basmati rice and a side of raita...wonderful. For lunch time, you can't beat the the buffet. It's small, but affordable, fresh, and delicious. The servers are polite but the service can be pretty slow. They do well at making sure you have what you need. I'm all for a leisurely meal but if you have somewhere to go, better plan on spending a little extra time at dinner and waiting for the check to come to your table.

Rajput was recommended by many fellow lovers of Indian cuisine. Always on a quest to find the best, my wife and I stopped in for dinner. The ambiance was nothing spectacular, but the restaurant seemed clean and quiet. We ordered appetizers and I was pretty shocked and how small the portions were... (The 'chips' and chutneys they give are the same as India Palace, but half or less the portion) We also ordered Dal Tadka and Lamb Curry which were not only also very small portions, but under-seasoned and generally dull. An order of Gulab Jamun (2 pieces looking very lonely) for dessert, and I was still not quite satisfied. The really upsetting part was the bill: After tip, I was sitting at about $92.00. There was a coke and one glass of red wine in there, but I knew I could have had better food at India Palace, Nawab, or especially Masala Bites (soon to be reviewed) for the same price or less. Overall, the service and the restaurant itself were fine, but the food and the price were very disappointing. We will not be back to Rajput unless the many other fine Indian establishments in the area all close down AND my stove doesn't work. Rajput just doesn't live up to its royal name.

This place always reminds me of my college days because it was definately the go to spot after studying. *Sidenote*The only problem was that when I would get back to class, the smell from the restaurant stayed on my clothes. So my other classmates always looked at me funny. No worries. But it's probably best if you have a change of clothes if you're going to be hanging out with people who would be insulted over yummy smelling curry. Helleeer? Sorry to digress, but their curries are great, naan bread is butter good, their kheer is delicious--although I would enjoy a little bit more raisins in it. My favorite dishes are their vindaloo, sag, and chicken curry. I love spicy food, so I always go extreme and ask for the dishes to be spicy. Their foodware and cupware are interesting. Oh! I almost forgot, their mango juice is sooooo good. It brings out the spices in most of the dishes. I don't really recommend getting any of their alcoholic beverages. And on the way out, they'res a jar of herbs and candy. Don't take too much because as soon as you bite you'll feel as if a GIANT ATOMIC BOMB of LICORICE just exploded in your mouth and others outside are going to be wondering why you are screaming at the top of your lungs. Not that, that happened to me.....;)

We came here 2 days ago to meet The Hubs for the lunch buffet. The last time we were here was the last time we were stationed here. It was good then and it was pretty good this go around. I'm pretty picky about my Indian food having had authentic ridiculously good Indian food from a dear friend's mother and having frequented really great Indian spots in DC & Chicago. The buffet is definitely watered down for the American palette. Normally, that's a no-go for me...but with two young kids eating from the same buffet...it was a Godsend. The flavors were there but needed a bit more seasoning and the heat level was none-existent. Again, good for my kids but not for me. The staff was EXTREMELY nice. We had ABSOLUTELY no issues with customer service. We'll probably meet up The Hubs again in the future for lunch...but not sure if we'd drive all the way to Ghent when I get drive all the way to DC for fab Indian food...that makes sense, right? Hahaha. It makes even MORE sense because my kids won't be able to eat it since mild up there is NOT kiddie-mild. Anyhoo...good but not stellar food. Wonderful staff. Beautiful restaurant.

Delicious lunch buffet, great ambience, and a great price. My only (minor) criticism is that the selection was somewhat limited.

Meh.... Still... it's the best option we have here in the Tidewater area.

I truly don't see how this place gets the great reviews it has. I ordered the minced lamb and honestly...I tell ya. It was dry, tasteless, and disgusting. I tried to leave, but the waiter insisted that I order something else on the menu (she wouldn't let me go). So, I had to settle for the Lamb Kebab, which was the same thing, but in a soupy sauce using the same old dry meat. If you want great Indian food in Norfolk for the same price, I say go to Nawab (off of military hwy). It's a better deal and the food is alot better for the price.

  • Wanda Z.

My friend and I walked saw A COCKROACH. We sat down at a booth and I put my water bottle at the end of the table and as soon as I moved the table a cockroach came out from under the table cloth. It was disgusting and we walked out.

  • Geoffrey L.

Not the best but not the worst. I would say this is average Indian food. Nothing wrong with the food or service of this place I would just have to say that it is not the best of the best. It is tasty and well made. The service is good and i have no issues but often times I find the food to be bland even when asking for spicer versions of menu items. If you must have Indian this if good for the area and well priced.

Best Indian lunch buffet I have had so far in the Hampton Roads area. Reasonably priced and most of the wait staff were pleasant. The only suggestion would be a bit more for the dessert bar, like my favorite Gulab Jamun!

  • Craig C.

I went for the lunch buffet. I thought the food was average. Selection was limited.

  • Monica M.

The manager was very rude. He asked us if we had a groupon at the door, and turned us away even though several tables and the bar were open. I have never been asked if I had a groupon before. This should not be a factor whether or not I get a table. I will not patron this business, and we returned our coupon. If you do not want customers using groupons on a Saturday night, then you should specify it within the contract, not when we show up.

Though Rajput Indian cuisine is in the middle of it all in Ghent, they just seem a little out of the loop. Every time I've visited, the place is empty. Since I don't enjoy being the only customer in an entire restaurant, I've always gotten my food to go. However, I've heard many great things about their buffets that give a lot of bang for the buck. This would be the solution to my biggest qualm with Rajput Indian Cuisine; unproportionate portion to price. What food you do get, is absolutely the best Indian in Norfolk, hands down. I like to order a frozen Lychee drink from the bar as I wait for my take out, and suggest the same to anyone wanting to take home some phenomenal Indian. The best combination that I used to grab to make those late nights before exams easier is the Vegetable treats that includes a vegetable samosa, vegetable pakora, onion pakora & eggplant pakora. For something heavier, go for the mixed vegetables curry (yum). The options for vegetarians and vegans are endless; they even have Gajjar Halwa. a carrot and raisin pudding perfect after a spicy meal. If you can scrape the bottom of your piggy bank, the food is delicious. I just want more of it.

  • Heather W.

Wow. Awesome food. Delicious, and even the healthy options were unbelievable. The only thing preventing this from being 5 stars was the inattentive service- the young lady who served me seemed to be on her first day, didn't know the menu, and barely came by to check on me. She was nice, just inexperienced.

  • Steve B.

As a dad sometimes I judge a place by there food, atmosphere, service and how well they deal with kids. I am not talking about the kids that jump all over the tables and make a huge mess for the wait staff. I wouldn't expect them to do well with kids that act up. But my daughter is incredibly well behaved even at 5. I expect them to at least acknowledge that she is part of our party and not just ignore her and focus on the two adults eating. They did great! They loved that she was enjoying everything brought out and not just eating chicken fingers. So they passed with flying colors! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was spot on and the wait staff was top notch! Really great surprise. The one tip I would give you would be to avoid jugging the place by the outside appearance. It doesn't give a clear representation of the food, looking at it from the outside.

    (4)
  • Chanelle G.

I love the atmosphere of this place! If you want to judge it, don't do so based on the buffet! The buffet is a very watered-down version of the fantastic food on the menu. Even if you get buffet, still order the naan off the menu -- comes from the kitchen light flaky and crispy, unlike the stuff on the buffet that's been sitting under heat lamps around steamy food for a while. I've never been disappointed ordering from the menu. So yummy!

    (4)
  • Anne E.

I recommend Rajput if you can get there for their lunch buffet. However, I prefer to take out and if you're ordering to-go at dinner, the portions are very small. Still very tasty, but for a $15.00 an entree I expect my meat dishes to come with at least an 8 oz. portion of chicken. good food, but poor value.

Stopped in with my crew to enjoy some Indian buffet. We arrived 30 minutes before the buffet ended yet the staff ensured we got fresh naan, tandoor chicken, whatever we wanted. Very nice and a comfortable atmosphere. It totally got the job done. It was the only full meal I ate all day which is usually how days go when I eat Indian.

    1. Clean and excellent decor. Was especially impressed with steel drinking glasses with copper coating. 2. Great buffet. 3. Excellent service (not always taken for granted in an Indian restaurant, so I was pleasantly surprised with the service). 4. Reasonable price at a good location.

  • Betty T.

Food here is mostly good, but not excellent. Prices are ok. Add 15 minutes to the time when ordering takeout. Came here with a restaurant.com certificate, and ended up spending a lot more that we would have without the certificate. Appetizers were good, entree was forgettable.

  • Traci T.

I so regret that I have not tried this place before now. I ordered takeout from here recently and was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of their curry. Seriously. Yum. I also ordered a side of Naan bread (which you get 2 slices, although I guess for roughly 3 bux, you should). I must say that my only Indian food experience prior to this has been via Trader Joe's, so I don't know one curry from another, I just know that I liked this one. The amount of food looked small to me initially in the takeout dishes, but once I got started, I filled up quickly and this easily turned into a 2-meal dish for me. Regardless, I still think the price I paid for what I got was on the steep side, but I guess with a restaurant that says "fine dining and cuisine" on the sign, I should have known better. I would love to check out the buffet here to get a more full idea of what other things on the menu are like without having to pay $20 a meal. The atmosphere in this place was intriguing when I came to pick up my food, so eating in for buffet sounds like a plan. Overall- YUM, I'll definitely be back.

Nice decor. All Indian staff-- so it appeared. They even sell bronze indian table ware on menu. Wierd but cool. Water is served in bronze cup. Cloth menu. Ordered the mixed tandori grill and garlic naan. They clam to marinate all tandoori meats overnight. Was good but not great. Slow service.

Disclaimer: I have never had Indian food before, so I cannot vouch whatsoever for the authenticity of my meal. That being said, I found the food very good. I only gave the restaurant three stars, but the flavor of the food was definitely not one of the problems. For an appetizer, we split some bhel puri (incredible!) and naan. My husband had the malai kofta for dinner, and I have to admit they were the best dumplings I've ever tried in my life. I had the tofu & broccoli karahi, which was quite good, but the malai kofta was better. Also, he had Indian lemonade, and I had Chai tea (which had free refills)! I've got nothing bad to say about the food. Now, for the negatives. Service is slow. Sloooow. I don't mean the time it takes for food to get to your table after you order, but even the time it takes to place an order. I can't say if it's always this way or just the time that we came, but our service was surprisingly, shockingly slow. Once we actually put in our orders for food and drinks, the food did come in a timely manner, but then the slow service began anew while waiting to receive the check and then get the card back. Not including time spent eating or waiting for food to come out, we probably waited 60-70 minutes total to place orders and get our check. At least we weren't in a hurry! My other gripe was that I asked the server for the vegetarian menu, and he told me to "just look in the regular menu." I had seen the vegetarian menus laying right next to the regular menus as we walked by, and I read online that while the regular menu does have quite a few veg dishes, the separate vegetarian menu has much more selection. He would not bring it to us. Overall, the experience was a positive one, and I'd rate it 3.5 stars if I could. We will go back and see if the service is any better next time, and if so, I'll update my review.

[-] a/ There was "fly in dessert". After calling server's attention and then calling manager, the manager did not even apologized by saying sorry. He merely mentioned it is "just" a fruit fly. b/ naan was stale and dry. c/ chicken makhani did not have any chicken just tomato sauce . d/ Bad food and worst service. AVOID

Very good curry. Interior not too great. I got the medium hot lamb curry with rice and garlic naan. Very tasty, but I was hoping for some heat and medium hot really was not hot. They have a great looking buffet that's $10 for dine in and $5/lb for take out, and a 1 lb is a good amount. I recommend this place for everyone.

Had dinner today despite having read a couple of unfavourable reviews on Yelp about this place.I was totally prepared to be coming back and ready to write a bad review but boy was I wrong. We walked into what seemed to be a very well decorated place, one that would make you feel like you are dining in a restaurant in India, yes,it's that authentic and greeted by the friendly owner whom I am glad was not as hostile as some of the reviews here made him out to be.That made me felt comfortable instantly. We contemplated the dinner for two @ $35 for an appetiser, main entree and dessert but settled for the 3 course dinner @ $20 per person with an appetiser, main entree and dessert. The only reason why we picked this was because we wanted to try different items on the menu and it turned out that the food was really good...and I mean really good.Loved the fish pakora and thought the tikka masala sauce was one of the creamiest and flavourful one I've had ( I am Indian by the way and naturally sets a higher standard when it comes to my curries),this one here passed the test with flying colours. Will try the buffet if I have a chance to next as recommended by others and see if the menu is as good cos with experience, the taste usually varies between the buffet and dinner menu.Don't ask me why but this seems to be the case with most Indian restaurants in the country.

I really want to like this restaurant. It's slim pickings when it comes to Indian food in Hampton Roads, so it'd be nice if Rajput lived up to all of the awards they've put in their windows. Sadly though, "Best of Hampton Roads" really just translates to "We didn't have anything else to pick from." Service was fine. There was a bit of a language barrier but we got what we ordered in a timely manner. The main downer though, was the food. I'd say the major flaw of Rajput is that they commit the cardinal sin of Indian food; IT'S BLAND! How do you make Indian food full of curry and cumin and have it come out bland? Too much tomato, too little spice, and greasy chicken made for a boring dinner. It was also pretty obvious that they don't make their own Naan. I've had better Indian in the grocery store.

Was looking for a decent Indian buffet before my flight back to Austin, TX, so I searched my Garmin for "International food" not knowing any local restaurants in Norfolk, VA myself. I was pleasantly surprised! The buffet was pretty extensive, and featured several veg-friendly dishes including a tofu biryani (different, yet yummy), idli with sambar, aloo and saag, and dal makhani. The potatoes were very Americanized, but delicious all the same! The dal makhani was right on and went great with the naan and roti bread available. The sambar was not a traditional sambar, but made more into a lentil soup of sorts for those unfamiliar with sambar's traditional role at the table, I'm guessing. The idli was a little dried out, but I would still give it 3 stars. Masala chai was exactly what I expected and on the same standard as any other Indian restaurant you visit. My husband also enjoyed the kheer and a carrot dessert that I forget the name of now. The ambience is cheesy, but definitely enjoyable. Rajasthani themed decorations are everywhere including the puppet dolls, turbaned statues, and faux-terracotta water cups (made me long for the real terracotta cups we used when I was in Rajasthan). The lighting is nice and the bathrooms are older but kept very clean. The waiters were attentive and friendly, nothing out of the ordinary to speak of there. Note to foodies: The food served here is your typical American/Indian food, not specifically Rajasthani food. I had a traditional meal while in Rajasthan and it would not exactly appeal to the American pallet or expectations of Indian food. But even so, the typical Indian food served was yummy and if I lived in the Norfolk area I would definitely be returning. Weekend lunch buffet for 2, plus 2 chais = $24. Really not that bad.

If there was negative marking i would have given that. The place smells!! The waitress/manager is awful in providing coustomer care.. the food is miniscule for the money you pay and yes we did order from the menu and not the buffet. You are better off going to a local wendys then paying for the food at this place.

I'm giving this 5 stars because I grew up in the 757 and I know that there are slim pickings for good vegetarian restaurants. I live in Chicago now and I think this place could compete with places here. I will definitely come back when I visit VA again. I was especially impressed that I asked for a medium spice level and it was really medium, the perfect level of heat. Too often when you say medium that turns out to be mild or no spice at all. We had the vegetarian combo and tandoori combo. The servers were friendly and the food came promptly. The pakoras were awesome though the samosa could have used more flavor. I also recommend the rice pudding for dessert, very creamy and delicious.

This is my preferred place for Indian food in Hampton Roads. The portions are small if you order off the menu, but the daily lunch buffet and dinner buffet nights are really worthwhile. They always have a good selection of vegan and vegetarian options on the buffet.

Worst indian restaurant.I have tasted many indian restaurants in NY,NJ,PA and India(as i am from india).Rajput is at the bottom of the barrel.I never tasted anything worse than this.Service is a joke.Setting is attrocious.hardly any space. This one deserves o stars but thats not an option hence have to force myself to give one star. Go for Saffron indian bistro or nawab indian cuisine if you want to have indian food

Not what I would consider even average, but I am not from Norfolk. If this is the best in Norfolk you people need to travel and eat at Indian restaurants elsewhere. To be fair, we did eat at the buffet for lunch and only once. I gave it two stars only because the restaurant was cute, the people were sweet and the chai was decent.

I will not go here again. I have been a few times because I want to like it. My family likes Indian food. Unlike the other reviewers, I found the service horrible. In each case, the manager/owner apologized but took it no further. In one case we went only because we had a substantial coupon for entrees. Don't get me wrong I am not a big coupon guy but it was the only reason we went there that night. The waiter begged us to get the buffet because it was so great. He insisted the coupon would apply. When the bill came, the owner came out and said it did not apply to the buffet. Standing right there, the waiter admitted he told us it would. It did not sway the owner who would not stand behind what we had been told by his employee. It was the ultimate in customer disservice. For me it wasn't the money but the principle.

Every have a bad cold and you can't taste anything? Well I did not have a cold, but everything tasted like I did. Looked like a nice place. Tables were nice and the food looked good. But this was the worst Indian food I have ever tasted - and I tasted everything on their buffet. It was so bland - absolutely tasteless. I could not finish it. It was a terrible disapointment and a waste of time. Don't be fooled by the nice host and well decorated restaurant. This is not good Indian food.

When I'm in town, I like to come here for lunch. The buffet (the only buffet I will eat from, anywhere) is full of fresh food. They have so many vegan options but also will satisfy meat-eaters, too. I love the flavors of Indian food and Rajput doesn't disappoint. From what I recall, lunch is very affordable.

Loved it! Awesome buffet with lots of options, at the right temperature ( which isn't the case of all buffets), and not stale. Yummy yummy! I'll definitely go back!

The same song played over and over six times while we were here. I ordered goat curry and it was only three bites of meat to eight bites of bone and fat. The decor was nice, but it doesn't make up for serving someone a bowl of bones and gristle. When I complained about the curry, they told me "that's how goat is".

As Indian restaurants go, it was not bad, but not that great. Service was ok, but not that great. Food was decent, but not that great. Right in that meaty/average part of the curve.

The best Indian in the area. I've never been to the buffet, but the Palak Tofu alone is worth the trip. We've also had good luck with the Chickpea Masala and Dal Tarka. Watch out though--the naan is NOT vegan. Luckily there are plenty of whole wheat bread options made without yogurt. I didn't love the one vegan dessert--carrot pudding--but overall, we're glad we found Rajput!

I tend to judge the quality of Indian food from reviews other Indian people have made. So when I noticed that most of their reviews made it to 2-3 stars, I was convinced not to have high expectations-& I'm glad I didn't. I ended up with my Indian food virgin roommate here when she received a groupon for this place. Ambiance- quiet clean but freezing inside!! We felt like the window was cracked open in the winter. Service- our servers were attentive and cordial. Someone came to check up on us once. When my roommate asked for suggestions- he was sadly not helpful. Food- terrible samosas - the potato tasted old and bland & therefore we sent it back. The butter chicken was ok- too heavy for my taste. Naans are hard to screw up. Tandoori chicken was pretty well cooked- a tough and chewy but still good flavor. Chicken biryani had good flavor however, they were cheap with the chicken. Price: expensive & definitely not worth price. On the brighter side- their drink menu didn't look too expensive. Also they have random wine bottle specials. I think this place is better kept as buffet- that way u get to experience variety for less $ .

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING THE VA BEACH LOCATION BACK!!! I have driven out to this one(norfolk) several times because the Va Bch location off of PA rd closed and moved to Suffolk. The food is not as good and the service isn't anywhere near as good I used to have this food at least once a week now I'm lucky if I get it every couple months and I get it coupled with constant uncharges that didn't exist at the other location and crappy service. Rajput by far has the best indian food in town but for service and total awesomeness in food the Suffolk location totally kicks the Norfolk locations rear.

I really thought the food here was great. What I had was a buffet type thing so I'm not 100% sure of the names of what I ate. The flavors were so good and I'd definitely like to dine here again. One was a breaded cauliflower thing with some yummy sauce. Had their rice with tofu and just thought it was ok. I've had better Indian rice before. I did like having the tofu and a few veggies in there though. Had the chicken kabob and that was definitely my favorite. Very good and not overcooked at all. Extremely tender. The service was great. Very attentive. That always makes dining out so nice. I'd love to come back soon. Their drinks (alcoholic) are way too expensive in my opinion. One glass of cab was almost 7 dollars. With so many great places to drink nearby such as Bardo I will not order alcohol here again. Overall wonderful dining experience. This is not the best Indian I've ever had but I'd say it's pretty good for Hampton Roads.

Maybe I just went on a good day judging by the other reviews up here but my experience was great! Me and my other half both got the curried chicken with roti bread and it was simply amazing. I do want to go back to try the buffet one day. The atmosphere was great and our waiter was very attentive. The drinks were ok too. Nothing special but they weren't bad. Update: went again for their lunch buffet. Great selection and or waiter was very attentive. They had the basics out for Indian food plus goat curry which I had not tried before. I'll be coming back.

I eat here 1-4 times a week. Seriously. It's my #1 favorite restaurant in this area. Every time I go, it's like a sacred experience, eating those marvelous spices and textures and colors in that relaxed cool atmosphere. All for $8.95 on weekdays / $10.95 on weekends?! 100 years ago, Kings and Queens couldn't eat this well! Sometimes I feel so grateful, eating all the delicious food, that I send a mental time-capsule message to our ancestors living in caves, telling them "it'll all work out" -- as I muse as to the ingredients of the chicken makhni that I'm sopping up with naan and mixing with the mild onion chutney. I'm recently unemployed (so I have time to write this!). When I was employed, I ate here 1-2x a week. I was moved to Norfolk for my job, but then 9 months later (recently) laid off as part of a major downsizing. Well, time to get on the Rajput meal plan! Business/ networking meeting? Rajput! Slow day on the job hunt front? Rajput! Big morning workout? Rajput! Friends or family in town, and you don't feel like cooking? Well, you get the idea! I love this place. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it, and that lovely quirky music they play. I'm going to walk there as soon as I finish this. Maybe you'll see me there!

Rajput is exactly what you expect from an Indian food place, no more and no less. Pros: Reasonably priced lunch buffet, stellar price for lunch buffet takeout, wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes Cons: Prices are weirdly high for dinner, spices are restrained for Indian cooking Rajput offers a lunch buffet seven days a week which usually includes six different entrees to choose from (three chicken and three vegetarian/vegan.) The buffet also includes naan (generally a bit dry,) mushroom pakoras (fritters, also dry,) basmati rice, a few Indian condiments, salads, and a rice pudding for dessert. The buffet is an okay deal for lunch. The real value at Rajput is in takeout: $4.95 a pound for buffet takeout during lunch hours! For that price, I can have a modest Indian lunch without needing to stuff myself silly or way overpay. On the other hand, their dinner prices and à la carte takeout prices are expensive, with entrees starting at fifteen dollars and essential sides like naan and other Indian breads adding another five each. The food is Americanized Indian food. Sweet, lots of cream, not much spice, lots of chicken. There are some more authentic items buried on the dinner menu, but you won't see them on the lunch buffer, and you have to be willing to pay their dinner menu prices. Try the chicken tikka masala from the lunch buffet, which is a surprisingly good rendition made with tandoori chicken. And if they have any lentil or chickpea dishes on the buffet, try those too, since they generally do a good job with their vegetarian/vegan items. Service is generally polite and fast, though a bit detached. I think the servers hide in wait behind pillars so they can refill your water glass within seconds of taking a sip.

Went in on a Monday for lunch buffet. OMG was it so good. They have about 8 main dish choices, 4 were vegetable and 4 were chicken. In addition they have all the sauces and a few sides. At first the naan was stale and disappointing, but when they ran out they came around with hot fresh naan. I also needed to order their vegetable samosas, which were huge and delicious. The servers were also very quick to refill waters and clear plates. Highly recommended

My friend wanted to go here, we met at 4:45pm; but, the restaurant doesn't open until 5pm on Sunday. The staff noticed us loitering on the steps and kindly let us in early, while the dinner buffet was still being put out. We weren't sure what we wanted at first, though after smelling the delicious courses set out for the buffet, we wisely chose that. I ate way too much! The food was very tasty and there was a great selection. Nothing to make it stand out from other Indian restaurants. They definitely put out a diverse haul on Sundays for $15.95 buffet. I really liked the decor and layout of the restaurant. It seems like they have been there for a while and had an attempt to make every corner of the place homey. The ladies bathroom didn't have any paper towels to dry your hands, I took some out of the cabinet for them. I didn't like their water cups... these unusual metal cups. They stayed super chilled, but the taste of copper (nickel?) on the cup was not refreshing every time I needed a sip. They looked fancy! I ordered one of the pretty drinks off the place mats too, a Rob Roy. Let me tell you, I have NEVER needed to complain that an alcoholic beverage was too strong, until now. That thing was like drinking straight scotch, just no ice to water it down. My friend tried it and joked they merely thinned the scotch out with Vermouth. Whew! I didn't try the goat curry my friend did, but he complained there were a lot of bones in that.

I had a terrible experience at this place, at first everything seemed fine as you walk up in the music playing outside you walk in a guy says hi but there is a smell of raid and pesticides I should have turned around and walked out then. I was told someone would be with us so I decided to sit outside in the fresh air. One lady came out very friendly at first and introduced herself as the manager and then started telling us the things they didn't have or couldn't make some things will it would take longer because one of the cooks went to move his car and never came back. ( little business advice these are not things you tell your customers ) After going over the menu and showing us what they did have that we could eat for dinner she went to put in our order. After 10, 15 minutes she came out and told us the kitchen was closed and then offered us some bar food corn nuts of all things. CORN NUT FOR DINNER WOW? Mmmm makes you think? If they were really just have a little bit of a crappy day? Can any business have this many obstacles in one night? I seen in someone else review they felt like they didn't want to be served? I kind of get the same feeling. Mmmmm makes you think? Big No. Try 356 fish around the corner where the food is cooked by Chef and not some short order cook.

Came for the lunch buffet. Great way to try a bunch of different dishes without committing to a whole entree. I recommend it! I even tried the dish with goat, which I probably would never order a whole entree of (even though it's the most eaten meat in the world). In my opinion...covered with all the delicious spices, it tasted just like beef. I wouldn't have been able to tell them apart. And remember they don't eat cows in India. If you are or have vegetarian friends...this is also recommended because there are a lot of options. By the way...do not pass-up the grated carrot and raisin dessert. It's vegetarian, and warm, and sweet, and SO delicious!

I've had my eyes, mind, heart, and stomach set on Rajput for what I expected to be and amazing Indian cuisine dining experience since I missed the Ugly Sweater Party this past December. I finally had the chance to go with my friends about two weeks ago and we did have a good experience after almost walking out. Let me explain ... Me and my friends arrive to the restaurant and were immediately seated, the interior is beautiful and the aroma from the spices in the kitchen are heavenly. They bring us out these cute little water jugs and my friends and I take a sip. GIRL!!!! It was probably the nastiest water I have ever been served at a restaurant. My friends and I aren't unreasonable people, so we agreed to just order different drinks. One friend got an iced tea, and me and my other friend decided to get chai teas (mine was free for checking in with yelp! Woot!). So they bring out the drinks and on top of bringing my friend an unsweet Iced tea when she asked for a sweet tea, my other friend and I were just not feeling the chai tea. At this point we were annoyed and wanted to just head somewhere else; however, I placed an order for garlic naan as an appetizer, so we decided that we were going to give their food a chance before making the final decision to leave or stay. The garlic naan was delicious! We ate the whole thing in about 2.5 seconds, it went so well with the mango chutney. It was so good it convinced us to keep our hind parts our seats and order some main course dishes. I got the tandori mixed grilled, one friend got chicken tikka marsala, and the other got tofu tikka marsalla. Speaking for myself on the tandori mix grill, the meat was very tender and was seasoned well and the vegetables were fresh and crispy. A steaming hot plate of food is always visually appealing and successfully makes my mouth water. It went so well with the rice and sauce on the side. As for what my friends thought, there wasn't much talking after our food was placed I'm front of us, which is always a good sign. Overall, the establishment is clean, the décor is cute, the food and service are awesome. I plan on returning here again for some yummy Indian food. Next time I'll just skip out on the water and the chai tea and just get a soft drink instead. Haha

Quiet on a Sunday night, there was no waiting for a table and with a decent looking buffet available, why not? Of course, the problem with buffet is that it's not going to be very spicy and it's a challenge to keep the variety of foods from getting cold, even with warming dishes. A very good spread including chicken curry, white rice, naan break, pakora, even lamb biryani. Nothing especially spicy which was unfortunate, but what they did have was tasty. At least 15 different varieties, all good. The rice pudding and the carrot pudding were both very good too. Service was good at taking away empties. I would return, but next time I'll order off the menu instead of the buffet.

This is my first time to dine here. The main reason of my visit is simply because of the over flowing rave reviews. I was intrigued about this place and wanted to witness the hype. I was craving for Indian food and this place is on the top of the list. To be honest, its a bit far from where I lived but I didn't mind as long as its worth it. I was blown away when I first came in, the entire place looks amazing. The interior and hanging arts and crafts are spot on. Everything perfectly blends together. If I am going to rate this place according to the interior, hands down its a five (5) star. This commentary is based on my experience and observation. I come here with a friend for dinner. As for starter, I ordered Rajput Curtain Raiser platter consisting of assorted fritters, samosa and two (2) piece of chicken ticka. For entrée, I ordered the Tandoori mixed grill and a friend had chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic naan on the side. I honestly thought that the food is just average. Nothing spectacular but plain indian food. I was expecting something that could impress me with the dish. The starter was ok, it didn't look appetizing and the samosa was extremely huge. Would prefer it to be as bite size. My entrée was over cooked and the meat was dry and gummy. The veggies under was burnt and the naan was almost like pizza crust. Though the dish was seasoned well but it was lacked of spice and depth. What a disappointing visit. This is probably the most unispiring indian dish I have ever tasted. On the brighter side, the manager came to us for a visit and gave us an insight. Thought it was very nice. I will give a try and come another time.

First and foremost this place is very nicely decorated and the service is terrific. For those parts I would give a 4.5 star rating without a moments hesitation. The food is average. In the menu there are several dishes that report they are the "Best in Hampton Roads 20xx". I'm sure they are right but that is mainly due to the lack of competition. Please don't misunderstand me. The food tastes fine and the presentation is very nice. My issue is that I've been to India and I've lived in places where I've had much better Indian food. For Norfolk, this is good Indian food. I had the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. I ordered it medium spicy. My dish was buttery and soft. However it was sweet and had almost no spice. They had a wonderful chili sauce that is available for a kick. My friend had the mixed tandoori grill. Unfortunately the meat was overlooked and the vegetables were slightly charred. Overall I enjoyed myself and I'm willing to come back try again.

Stopped here for weekend lunch buffet. Price was $10.95. Staff was pleasant enough, but not in your face. The restaurant was clean and had a good amount of people in for lunch. The lunch buffet was well organized and everything was labeled. They had a nice selection of salads and chutneys, a few dessert options, naan, spinach pakora, and an awesome selection of entree items. There was basmati rice, yellow lentils, various vegan options (lentils, chickpeas), goat curry, tandoori chicken, chicken biryani, etc. We were really impressed.

Ahh Rajput. Honestly I think this is everyone's first stop for Indian cuisine. I am by no means a expert in their customs and dishes, but I'd like to think I've acclimated my taste for ethnic dishes. This place is very homey and inviting from when you walk in through their small bar area down to the bottom floor. You are blasted with an aroma of spices and herbs right from opening the doors. Sitting on their sometimes not so comfy booth area, the table is set with a coper cup for your water, which I am surely hoping is cleaned properly to prevent rust in your drink. Keeps water nice and cold though. I've had the opportunity to try several things from here and for the life of me, I could never remeber which dishes they are. Let me just say that they were delicious and filling especially with a side of basmati rice and naan to start our dinning experience. Some of their dishes can be a little on the bland side of things, but I guess that may be a good thing for you health wise. Cap the dinner and get rid of some of the spice lingering in your mouth with their mango lassi. Not my first choice for Indian food but certainly not bad for the money.

Mango, Mango, lassi. Mango, Mango, lassi. The food is great. Very flavorful. Many vegetarian selections to choose from. Large portions. The staff are very friendly, eager to serve you, and definitely want to make sure that your are pleased with your meal. Great atmosphere to dine with friends, a large group or your special someone. All I really care about is getting myself a Mango Lassi and I'm happy.

Last night we were on our way to a restaurant in which we have a gift card. The wait was to long because we had tickets to an event. So we stumbled across the lovely Indian restaurant. This is the only Indian restaurant I go to in Hampton Roads. Love their lamb curry, samosa, and naan bread, but the highlight of the day for me is their papadum and the sauces that comes with it. Every visit has always been pleasant, however, I tried their brunch once and did not really like it.

I made a delivery order on my phone through Yelp. After an extended wait, I called the restaurant to confirm the order. They said they never received the order. My wife and I love their food, so we just placed another order for pick up. When I got there I let them know that the charge went through to my credit card so they would check it out for future customers. Even though they never got a record of the order, they still gave me the takeout food without charging me twice. Great customer trust and service. I highly recommend the food and the character of Rajput.

Indian food is my favorite. OK, food is my favorite. Yesterday was my Birfday. Please don't everyone bombard me with Happy Birfdays at once. I keed. I keed. I decided to treat myself to Indian "boofay" at Rajput in Norfolk. Since I was considerably impressed by the "boofay" in Suffolk, I said "eff" it" and stopped in for a bite.....or 238 bites. Two plates worth of deliciousness. I had to dig around the buffet bowls a bit for the chicken, but it was really good. They had lentils on the line which I have yet to see in Suffolk. They were outstanding over the rice. Like melt in my mouth goodness. Only complaint is that I really wish the norm for buffet food was extra super duper spicy. Come on people! Put your big girl panties on!

A friend told me about this place so I decided to try it. Having never had authentic Indian Cuisine I didn't know what to expect. The inside was clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The food was FANTASTIC! Not knowing what I would like I tried a very small bit of each dish. Much to my surprise everything I tried was delicious! In fact when going back for seconds to eat what I liked most..... well I had a hard time selecting what would be my favorite. I loved the little steel water cup, it kept my ice water so cold!! Thankfully I can't say anything bad about this place or the food. I have found a new favorite dining establishment and shall invite all my friends to join me. BRAVO, BRAVO, to Rajput Indian Cuisine!

Horrible food nowhere near to real Indian taste. More like blah Indian curry with no taste.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I usually get the Tandoori Chicken, but they also have Tandoori Fish that is awesome. They have plenty of parking and it's great for groups as well as couples.

These folks sure know how to cook. Having grown up eating international cuisine often (from the dc area) and always loving Indian food I was thrilled when I found this gem in my neighborhood. They do a great buffet! And all of their entrees are spot on. One of my friends is Indian and he gave enthusiastic approval of this place too. Their chai tea is delicious. Everything is tasty. Service is excellent. No frills, just really awesome food with professional and friendly service.

I am reviewing their dinner service, not their buffet. It seems their buffet is consistently a 4 star rating, which I find good for buffet style....so believe me, their dinner is really pretty impressive! My husband and I try to avoid restaurants on the weekend because of crowds, and finding that we had the restaurant almost all to ourselves one Thursday night was great! I'm an Indian food freak, so I rarely have found any menu item displeasing, but of course, some are better than others. Their pakora and samosa apps are pretty standard. Flavorful but not particularly notable. I would order them again. Their curries are where the magic happens. Aside from the usual suspects, ie: vindaloo, tikka masala, korma, etc., they offer some unique, harder to find specialties. Their Pasanda is....how do I describe it without being vulgar?.......well, its $%^&*@$ amazing! Their balance of creamy soothing coconut and heat from spices is perfection. The curry is similar to a korma in that it has a nutty base but I personally think it holds way more flavor punch and dimension. Their Saffron curry is similar but that mild aromatic saffron flavor always makes me sit back and close my eyes in a curry heaven dream. I know Saag is more common but when we order the aforementioned curries, we love having saag to add some tart, earthy green to balance it all. I know I am know telling you just how piggish we are when it comes to food consumption here but....se la vie; we always order extra naan, roti and rice. I love LOVE LOVE having some mint and tamarind chutneys on the side as well. Don't forget to wash it all down with a mango lassi or a chai. Their chai is fantastic! The best part? They made me a rose lassi upon request......and were so kind and happy to do it for me! If you love floral notes- ask for it. I hope for your sake they still have their rose water syrup- it's killer!

Starting off: BEST FREAKIN' INDIAN FOOD IN HAMPTON ROADS! ... at least best that I've had yet. :) I have been here over and over again, with friends, with my husband, and on double dates. The food is incredible and reasonably priced. Service is friendly and accurate. Decor is nice. I love the water glasses they use! Did I mention the food is incredible? Seriously, I saw that the overall rating for Rajput was 3 1/2 stars and I yelled out "What the hell?" Ridiculous. They have buffets on certain nights (can't remember which one), and that is pretty good. I would prefer just going for the regular menu, but the buffet is still tasty. Everything I've tasted has the perfect amount of spice, good balance between spices, and is very fresh. This is our go-to place if we will be in Norfolk. If you love authentic Indian food, I would definitely recommend giving Rajput a try.

I've been going to Rajput for ten years. All the food is excellent. The lunch buffet is so convenient and delicious. When you go to the Sunday buffet, bring your biggest appetite because you will want to taste it all. The staff is extremely considerate. I appreciate that when the bread comes out of the oven, they bring it to everyone piping hot. All in all, an experience you don't want to miss.
