A small food service area with a nice salad bar, and a counter from which soups, sandwiches and panini are made fresh and served. Pay for your food and take it to the quite wonderful dining room with views of the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. The cafe menu is limited, but I applaud them for serving unusual items at very reasonable prices. My brie and chutney panini wasn't quite as crisp as I would've liked, but it was filled with great ingredients and was tasty. Accompanied by nice salad greens, a pickle and potato chips. The potato salad from the salad bar was quite good, and my cup of chilled asparagus-celery soup had a pleasant bite to it. The complimentary water infused with cucumber and lemon slices was a nice touch. All in all, an elegant experience. $20 for the two of us. They also have items on the menu for children. You can eat at the Garden Cafe without paying admission to the Botanical Garden.
