Crazy Burgers & Fries is located on the inside of Regency Shopping Mall in the Food Court. It is NEW and they are working hard to capture part of the food market with the Christmas/Holiday Shoppers. After I finished my business in the mall, I was hungry for something not too heavy, and I thought I would check them out.... They have a limited menu, however the one item which caught my eye was the Hawaiian Burger. It looked good and refreshing with the big slice of Pineapple, Lettuce, Tomato and Jalapenos. They told me the hamburger was a 80/20 which I do not find to be too bad as I enjoy some fat in my burger as it does add to the taste. So, I order the Combo which was a fountain drink, Fries and a Burger for $5.99. I watched the young man cook my burger and he was squeezing it to death with the spatula, which squeezed all the fat out, so the burger looses a lot of it taste. If you do not believe me, check with Food Network and the King of the Grill; Bobby Flay. Anyway, when he was making the burger, I asked where was the Pineapple and he said chopped up and cooked with the meat. Darn! I was looking forward to that big slice I saw in the photo. They fixed my Hawaiian Burger up with the Works. The Fries were perfectly cooked in fresh oil and they had a nice taste. However, I was disappointed in the burger. The Burger lacked in taste and it did not have the taste of the Pineapple. In fact, I could see the small chunks of Pineapple, but it just did not have that flavor which Pineapple adds to the food. I feel if it had the slice of Pineapple... It was given the burger a lot of flavor. However, since he cooked the Pineapple in the burger, he also squeezed all the nice sweet taste of the Pineapple out as well.... I will check them out again... they were extremely accommodating, I will try something else the next time, however I think I will pass on the Hawaiian Burger.
