Went for lunch... If you've eaten at Martin's, this place is exactly the same to me. But I had their chicken Philly and it was SO good! And their prices were great too! Definitely coming back again.

Don't let the size fool you when you open the bun, these burgers are flavor-rich. If you're looking for a little bigger burger; better go with the bacon double-cheeseburger... more than enough food but when you're used to seeing 1/2 - 3/4 lb slabs of meat being served @ even the fast food joints, you may be taken back at the size. Fries are not bad... shoe-string'ers... This place is most def no-frills; not a flea-bag by any means, just no frills. Only complaints... the super dinky appetizer paper plates they serve the burgers on are really silly... I mean you get the crap everywhere while you eat the sandwich... I'm sure if they spent the extra 1 cent per plate, they could save 15 cent per plate in labor cost spent cleaning up after folks. Otherwise, a fried egg option (over medium) would be a great add. The server even acknowledged she has people asking for fried eggs on top all the time... hey owner... sounds like a lot of profit being lost when you can add $1.50 for an egg to a 3.00 burger. Lack of fried eggs or paper plates aside, I'm sure I'll be back.

I was really disappointed at lunchtime today. The usually great service to go with the food was missing. No refills, and it wasn't busy either...the three servers were just standing around talking...the manager, Buster, must approve because he had joined in with them. Still great food, but they do have competition in the area.

I am a foodie. My visit to this restaurants was one of those unfortunate experiences that we all food lovers, who want to support local restaurants have to go through. I sat at the counter. Some teenage kids were running the show. They were touching their shirts and pants with the same hands they were touching the food. To top it off, the cook decided to spit in front of me. What a great way to end a terrible meal....now I will have to think twice before I dare try these type of restaurants for a while. As, I said...I am a foodie...I am sure I will be going through this experience again somewhere else....but this is the first time I was so disgusted.

My family used to eat here weekly, but we've slowed down because that adds up to a lot of unhealthy. The burgers are great (especially if your partial to flat burgers), the fries and onion rings are crispy, and you cannot beat the price.

I'm not sure how or if this location is affiliated with the Riverside on Pantops in Charlottesville. But these guys are awesome. The burgers are as good if not better than the other location and they have a Sunday breakfast buffet that is pretty good for the price.

What a mess. Watching the cook count cash and then not wash his bare hands while he makes everyone's burgers is disgusting. This place broke about 15 health violations in the 20 minutes I was there today. To make it worse, every time we needed refills our waitress was missing and the cooks and other waitress were all busy on their cell phones. The burger was average at best. Greasy as all get out and the bread was smashed to hell. Watching them dump frozen everything into the fryer is also discouraging of the quality of what you would want. Never again.

This is a quick and casual burger joint and it's locally owned. Really great fries, burgers and beer to watch the game. Service is usually fair to average. Food is exactly as stated above. Quick casual burger joint.
