Had a great time although be careful with the cocktails it will double your bill! Lol I am watching my calories and they were very accommodating with the calorie count for all of their dishes. I ended up having sea scallops and shrimp with the pan Asian sauce, sugar snap peas, and french green beans. I know everyone at my table loved their food they ordered. We left happy for my sisters birthday dinner celebration. Our service was great! My shrimp were cooked perfectly, my scallops could have used a better sear but besides that I was satisfied. I added a cocktail and tried the Summer Kiwi Smash and it was pretty good at first you taste the tequila and the after taste leaves you with the kiwi flavor. I am happy however if I wasn't watching my calories I probably would want to try a lot of other dishes.

Had dinner here with my family on a Saturday night. We shared the Calamari appetizer, served with a really tasty, lightly spicy dipping sauce. The Calamari and vegetables were dipped in a light batter coating and were very yummy! I had the Parmesan crusted rainbow trout with steamed asparagus. There was nothing wrong with the dish - it just didn't wow me. My brother ordered the Mahi Mahi and remarked about what a small piece of fish they gave him. Looking it over I have to agree. Overall, service was very good.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary because we have a local athletic booster card thingy that gets us perks at several local businesses. At Bonefish we got a free order of bang bang shrimp. My husband was happy, but for the price you pay here I can't see any reason not to just go to Sweetwater instead. I found the mussels really inelegant, and the broth a touch too salty. My husband liked his "shrimp and" scallops (and was fine to pay $2 extra to upgrade to "scallops only" since he's allergic to shrimp) but man- paying another $6.50 extra to substitute a really unimpressive macaroni and cheese as a side was a bit much. The bang bang shrimp was pretty good. If we were to come here again, I'd eat it again. Of course, it's free with our promotional card dealie, so why wouldn't I?

Nice service at the bar, decent food...I prefer the Greenbriar location food better. The ceviche was different...the bang bang shrimp was over sauced, the fries were lukewarm and not crisp. It's close to home, but I think I will stick to the one in Fairfax.

I am very impressed with bonefish grill! I had the opportunity to meet the owner today and he was extremely humble and kind. The food was amazing as always and the atmosphere is very romantic!! Best place to have your birthday dinner!! I will definitely be back! Our waitress was also very kind, responsive, attendant, and quick. Thanks!!

I went to this BF location on Wednesday to enjoy the Bang Wednesday! Oh boy, did we enjoy it or what! We were greeted by an awesome server. He was really attentive and super friendly. He immediately got us fresh bread. We ordered 4 Bangs and couple beers. I will not talk too much about the food since EVERYBODY knows about how good the food here is. We were simply content by the time we left this place. Loved it! We'll be visiting this place soon again.

Should be a 4 or 5 star but the service is what really brought this one down. My family and I have eaten here many times before, and it's one of the few seafood places I like. We came in on a Sunday on reservation and were taken to sit closer to the bar. The first three tables they tried to show us were all dirty...kind of gross but we got seated at the last bar in the row. We were the only ones sitting in that section, other than a few people at the bar. Our waiter came up and got our drink orders and we asked for bread. It took a a decent amount of time for him to get the two cocktails we had ordered even though we seemed to be his only table but we let it slide. The rest of the time the waiter seemed more interested in talking to the bartender then to us. Anytime we tried to call him over he was always, coincidently just out of ear reach, and often when he would come to the table like when we asked for more bread he had turned around without even hearing our request. It took him a while to bring out both glasses of my wine and when our food came out, they served each of us the wrong thing. I want to come back here but I want the service to be 5x as good as my last time there.

I really like this place. The food is consistently good and a good value. Given the limited choices in Ashburn this is my "go to" place. It's a bit small, and not as nice a Clyde's down the street, but the good is much, MUCH better.

Amazing date night with the fiance, first alone time we've had in months and it was loooongg overdue. We were pleasantly surprised to find we could be sat immediately when we arrived. White sangria to start was always good, I asked for an extra kick and they somehow worked that in! Bang bang shrimp for appetizers of course, and edamame. Always amazing. I got the special, mahi mahi topped with lobster thermidor - it was amazing as to be expected. Great service, quick and easy, perfect laid back date night. So happy!

Always good service. Dinner is always good. Tilapia Imperial and Bang Bang shrimp are our go-to's. We have gotten great filet mignon here as well and it's never over cooked. Martinis and cocktails are also always very good. Love that when we or our kids split a meal they bring it out on 2 separate plates already split. Brunch was not great. The creme brûlée French toast was very disappointing.

How I heard of this place: Our friends Sam & Janelle invited us to join them and their two children at the Bonefish in Ashland for a New Years dinner. Type of cuisine: "Your local seafood restaurant" seems to be the motto of Bonefish Grill as it appeals to those feeling the need for a "big city bar that's not far from home." Their website boasts, "Our polished casual setting helps you relax and celebrate - even if the occasion you're celebrating is just dinner...It's a wood-burning grill that swaps out boredom and routine for a dinner that opens your eyes. It's chef-coat service that's not about being stuffy, but all about knowing what you need. It's feeling good about the food, the people and the bill each time you walk through the door." Ambiance: Cozy, warm, dimly lit and very romantic. The revolving doors and dark windows (or maybe it was just late and the night sky naturally gave the dark window look?) leading inside the establishment kept the chill and the views of the shopping strip and parking lot to a minimum. Immediately ahead of us, the bar crowd merrily enjoyed happy hour cocktails from their booths and traditional bar stools, keeping the bartender company. Music plays softly in the background so as not to disturb diners, but provide some ambiant air throughout. To our left the host and hostess stood, awaiting our names for the reservation. They offered us a table either in the bar or on the restaurant side; we chose the restaurant, for quiet, comfort and the children joining us shortly. Between the two large rooms/sides of the establishment, a wall with a lengthwise cut-out extending the entirety of the width of the restaurant helped separate the seating areas. In that space, one row of brass plants, lined the wall from front to back. We sat a booth along the bar wall. Ahead of us, seating was available at the window, around the space near the far wall, at more booths, as well as chairs and tables available throughout the center of the establishment. Ceiling fans and the feel of fake palm trees gave the venue a Tommy Bahamas vibe. What I ordered: Cranberry juice ($2.50) to start, my husband and I shared a full-sized Caesar salad ($3.10 with the order of an entree). Our dining companions started with a House Salad ($3.10 with the purchase of an entree). For our main entrees: Spinach Bacon Gorgonzola Atlantic Salmon ($18.90), topped with sauteed spinach, crispy bacon and creamy Gorgonzola cheese. Our dining companions enjoyed the Wild Dorado Mahi Mahi ($18.90 each), and the Maryland Crab Cake Dinner ($18.80) with two broiled crab cakes served with a slightly spicy, red remoulade. Each of our dishes came served with the seasonal vegetable: spaghetti squash sauteed in a brown sugar and butter sauce, as well as our choice of fresh sides, including garlic whipped potatoes, and potatoes au gratin. With he addition of steamed asparagus (five, fat spears for $4), we were set. One Kids Grilled Fish (5.99) dinner with grilled Longfin Tilapia and fries. Our desserts: Jen's Jamaican Coconut PIe ($6.20), creamy custard, rum sauce and fresh whipped cream, and the Key Lime Pie ($5.90) with a roasted pecan crust, and the Macadamia Nut Brownie ($5.90), a flourless brownie served sprinkled with toasted macadamia nuts, a puddle of raspberry sauce and a large scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped with whipped cream. What I loved: Of everything we sampled, my favorite things were the creamy, flavorful and not-inundated-with croutons Caesar salad. The salmon was moist and well-seasoned, the spinach perfectly wilted, yet vibrantly green, and the Gorgonzola cheese crumbles large and fresh. The whipped garlic potatoes soft and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, the tilapia grilled to light perfection and the crab cakes full of big chunks of crab. Of the desserts, the brownie stole the show, but the thick, cheesecake-like key lime pie held the attention of our tastebuds from start to glorious finish. Why I loved it: The service was stellar, the food delicious and abundant and the company well worth the drive. Cost: Average to high ($16-$28 per dinner entree)

Bonefish Grill is one of the few good chain restaurants. It's not perfect, but the food is quality, it packs a lot of flavor and the prices are reasonable. Compared to other chain seafood restaurants, Bonefish gets a LOT of things right. The Bang Bang Shrimp? Freakin' amazing. The Bang Bang Shrimp are the reason we go to Bonefish (and, by proxy, the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos). They're impeccable. Terrible for you, but it's best not to think about that. Flavor points, right? Right. Their fresh baked bread with olive oil and pesto is the perfect starter for every meal. They've a fair assortment and variety of fish and options for those who don't enjoy dining from the sea. The Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine (though a little heavy on the tomatoes) is always a favorite of mine, and while I rarely get fish, the Tilapia Imperial is really flavorful. I'm also fond of Lily's Chicken and "Sir Will's" fish and chips. The service at this particular Bonefish has always been pretty reasonable, and the staff and always seemed to be in a good mood (despite the crowds). Bonefish can get mobbed. Insanely crowded, incredibly loud. While it's popular, if you're going for a quiet meal it's best to avoid this place at prime time. I was once quoted about "two and a half hours" for a wait time to get a table. So yeah, to say it can get busy is an understatement. Bonefish Grill used to have amazing freshly squeezed lemonade. And, for whatever reason, they replaced the lemonade... with Vitamin Water Zero "Squeezed". When you order a lemonade you get Vitamin Water Zero. NO! Just no. First, it tastes terrible. Diet beverages are truly a love it or leave it category, and for me, it's definitely leave it. Second, lemonade is a very particular kind of drink. Lemon. Water. Sugar. Vitamin Water comes no where close. And selling Vitamin Water as "lemonade" seems incredibly misleading to me. That said, I still love Bonefish. It's a great place to go, the food's cooked well and their fresh fish menu always has something new and interesting to try.

Bone Fish is great for their consistency in overall experience and food quality. But thus particular one seems to have a notch over the rest in terms of people and service. I may be lucky but seems like the ones I get are always friendly and like to be here. Significant good leadership! Kudos to the management!

Not sure if it was an off day, but the service here was terrible. The way it's set-up, the hostess stand is squeezed on the left into the entrance to the main dining area. There were 5 people milling around there, so trying to get noticed to be seated for a table took longer than it should. Also, the Starbucks phenomena of the inability to spell people's names occurred when giving a name for the group, even when you're spelling it out for them; no biggie. When our table was finally ready, I gave the buzzer to the same person who took our group number and name in the beginning. 5 minutes later, he forgets and asks me if I need a table and how many were in my party. It took awhile for the service to get organized on seating us. There's just too many staff members at the hostess stand and that area gets squishy fast. Our server was very present throughout, but was very pushy about having us order a variety of items so she could get a free comped dinner at the end of shift. She was also very pushy about clearing dishes while they were still being eaten. This pushiness made it very uncomfortable. Food here is okay. The stand out of the meal was probably the appetizer we ordered, which was the Bang Bang Shrimp. The fried shrimp was tossed in a mayo-based sauce with a touch a heat. I ordered the steak and crab cake entree. I have to say, as a person who is used to eating Faidley's crab cakes over in Baltimore, just avoid the crab cakes here because you will be disappointed. The crab cake here does have large chunks, but the flavors and the size are just a bit underwhelming. The steaks here were cooked to order which was great. The entree sides were tomato salad and sautéed corn and edamame. The corn and edamame seemed like it was a play on succotash, but it was over spiced and just not well made.

Bang Bang Shrimp is a must for the appetizer. The service has always been great and food is delicious. I have not had any issues at this establishment and it's a neighborhood favorite.

Worst experience ever at Bonefish. Waiter was totally inattentive, appetizers and WATER arrived at the same time. Mahi Mahi was 4 bites for $23. And the kicker was when the reservation was made and it was put in writing online that there was a birthday, absolutely nothing was done nor said.

Silly to write a review for Bonefish. They are one of the most consistently great restaurants. My Atlantic Salmon was absolutely perfect. A side of Potatoes Augratin was also great although my palate required just a pinch if table sea salt. I also had a newer option the Tay's Wedge Salad. Although not a half head of lettuce size, more like a quarter size, it too is perfect in flavor and smoothness of the Swiss blue cheese crumbles. Highly recommended. This review is for the Ashburn Virginia Bonefish.

So I am qualifying this review's 2 stars as "Meh. I've experienced better, at this very restaurant." I don't get it. Is it because they just changed their whole menu? Partly, some of the new dishes really just are not good (S'mores Flatbread, I'm looking at you), but also the execution. This last visit my salmon was dry and overcooked, Hubs fish and chips portion was noticeably smaller than previous visits, as were the crabcakes although they were at least still delicious. I'm sure you can still get something good here, if I come back again there are now a couple of things that I know are not very good (or not as good as they used to be) and I won't be ordering them again. It used to be a sure bet that no matter what you ordered it would be delicious but, unfortunately, I don't think it's now a certainty here. Bummer.

Amazing seafood! Bread is great too. It is a bit pricey but that is because it is good seafood. Last time we went the service was extremely slow and they weren't very busy. Aside from that it was a great experience.

Love this Bonefish location. Wait Staff are friendly and attentive. Everyone recommends the Bang Bang Shrimp. I highly recommend (wish they would make a bucket of Bang Bang Shrimp because I would order an Extra Large Bucket). The Kobe Burger is also my favorite as well as the Crab Fried Rice.

Service is great at this location and cocktails are set at good prices. I tried the Sriracha Pepper Chicken crispy chicken tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce at $5 during the happy hour. People say it's the same sauce used in bang bang shrimp. They have a happy hour on Sunday as well.

Food was delicious and service was fantastic! I recommend going on a Wednesday to get half off bang bang shrimp! I ordered the tilapia imperial and was absolutely obsessed. Sides for the meal are on the small side but do not lack flavor at all.

I love Bonefish as a restaurant, however, this location's take-out seems to be sub-par. I'm not sure if all take-out is generally like that but I live directly across the street from the shopping center so nothing has time to drastically change from the time I pick it up to the time I open it at home. I've ordered steak and shrimp there twice and they've cooked it wrong both times (acceptable, but not the way requested) and don't even consider trying the Teriyaki Chicken bowl. I got the bowl once and it tasted like something that may have come from the frozen section of the grocery store. I was not impressed at all and I feel like it'd be the same quality in the restaurant. Overall, definitely not impressed with this location but I do love the Bang Bang Shrimp regardless of where it comes from.

All I hear is bang bang shrimp reviews and how good that is. Is there any other apps to rave about? I ordered a dish with chicken and it was horrible. Not impressed with BF at all and plus almost ALL seafood in restaurants is FARM raised. For what they charge for the worse quality so- called seafood, is NOT worth injesting all the trash that comes from FR seafood. Seafood should come from the sea, not someones' farm.

What a wonderful evening! This was our first time at any Bonefish Grill. We had a lovely dinner and a first rate server, Hugo. From the very beginning Hugo beautifully directed our evening, taking the time to walk us through the menu and answer our many questions. Our food was just terrific from our Bang Bang Shrimp to the Flourless brownie that we shared. We will be back!

I went here to have a Christmas dinner with my family. The interior is very pretty with its candles and soft lights to illuminate the dimness of the restaurant. The waiters are quick and receptive. However, the food and drinks aren't as good. The Pad Thai I ordered was very dry and unappetizing. I certainly had better at cheaper places. The lemonade was too sweet. The creme brûlée was pretty delicious though.

Bonefish is an Outback owned chain which caters to seafood. It is perfect for the seafood lover, but also a great choice for the person who wants something other than seafood. They have great service, and a killer martini list.

had the Ahi sashimi, not too impressed. Too much sesame on the out side, couldn't taste the tuna for all the coatings and sauces. It could have been goat and I wouldn't have known the difference. Service at the bar was great though.

The food quality at this Bonefish isn't the best, we've tried twice so far. I can remember years ago this location being so much better! Tonight we spent $80 on a casual dinner- food came out sloppy and lukewarm. It was so disappointing!

This was our Nth time at Bonefish Grill and we have always had a great meal and superb service there. However, this was our first time that my husband was not 100% happy with his steak. He didn't want to complain, but he did mention to our super nice waiter, Luther, that "the steak could have been better". Luther right away, without us knowing, informed the manager. The manager, Heather came over and apologized. She took the dish off the bill which we didn't expect at all. We were quite taken aback by her customer-oriented attitude. Again, we told her that the steak was not bad, just too chewy for a Filet Mignon and that we had better there but, by all means, we would be coming back. The rest of our meals were very tasty. Anyway, it is obvious that Bonefish Grill cares about their customers from the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave. Highly recommended! I would just mention that because the place is so popular there is always a wait especially on the weekends. The reservations might be a good idea.

The service is very good and the food always cooked perfectly at this location. My oldest son loves all things Bang Bang Shrimp and I'm a fan of their steaks. The only complaint I have is that the wait staff really needs to watch what they say when they congregate near the bar.

We LOVE Bonefish Grill!! We always get Bang Bang Shrimp, so good!! The service and atmosphere is wonderful. I would give this place a 5 but I have only one complaint with Bonefish and that is their lemonade! We ordered it the last time we were there and it looked white. I took a sip and nearly spit it out! Then my husband tried it and he thought it had some kind of artificial sweetener. So I asked the waitress what was with the lemonade and she said they had been getting a lot of complaints about it since it had been replaced with VITAMIN WATER ZERO lemonade. What? Don't you think you'd mention that on the menu? When people order lemonade they expect sweet and tart juicy lemonade, not diet artificially flavored water. PLEASE CHANGE THIS!!!

Service was very good but hostesses seemed disorganized. When we made our reservations we asked for "six, with a high chair." She clarified, "so five adults and a high chair?" "Yes." When we arrived, we were told we were seated in a booth and would be given a booster. That doesn't really work as we were with a 6 1/2 month old. So we were left to wait while they got that sorted out. Food arrived quickly; hot and delicious. Bang Bang shrimp and ahi tuna sashimi appetizers were amazing. In a perfect world, I would be able to get the tuna with whatever the sauce on it is as a salad. We were brought fresh baked bread with a delightful pesto oil dip as well. I had the Kobe burger, no cheese, add avocado and bacon and let me tell you - it totally hit the spot. One of my new favorite burgers. I thought prices were fair, albeit maybe slightly smaller dinner portions than I was expecting. Also, as they have a kids menu, I would love to see some additional drink options - no apple juice or chocolate milk. Luckily my 3 year old likes water. Everyone else loved their dinner. Will definitely be back.

Ate here the other night and was happy with the meal and service. The server was very nice and attentive, the food was good. We got a bang bang shrimp which was yummy (love that sauce). The person with me got the haddock and they ate it all, I got the lily's chicken and it was very good, I was too full to finish it all though so took it home for the next day. The bread was good, the drinks were good, although the white sangria was much better than the red. The bonefish martini was good as well. While our meal was very good, the portions seemed a little small for the price we paid. Will definitely go back to this location again though.

This is one of the most consistent chain restaurants I've eaten at. It is close to my house and I eat here about once a week. I've yet to have a bad meal here. I usually eat at the bar but the few times I've eaten in the dining room the service was decent. The bar tenders are attentive and remember regulars.

This place is a go to spot for anniversaries for my wife and I. Food is well cooked, the staff is knowledgeable and ...the bang bang shrimp is off the charts! I like the ambiance and the fact that no matter when you go, this place seems to be packed. You know you are at a good joint when that happens. As far as choices, I am satisfied. The prices, well they are okay. Could be better. I normally get the rare tuna accompanied by whatever the waiter suggests, wife gets the salmon...the tuna is great, salmon generally is okay...I don't care much for it, but hey its not my plate. Stars: Food - well cooked, good choices, I like that you can choose your cooking style..extra point for bang bang shrimp of course....that well cooked, mayo laced crustacean with a bit of that crisp cold lettuce cannot be beat... Service - Excellent staff, well versed in their knowledge of the menu, seafood and daily specials. Clean, professional and very attentive Atmosphere - dimly lit, clean, packed to the T and overall wonderful Location - In Ashburn...middle of no where land...Love it when I visit the area though or I'll just go to the one in FFX Family Friendly - Yep, except for the occasional wait, this place is great. Kind of scared to take screaming kids here b/c you can tell there are a lot of couples who just dropped their monsters off to have a night of peace and quiet. Would I return - Of course -- that mayo laced crustacean dish has my name written all over it!

This place is pretty good. It's not on the top of my list but it's a place that I will come back to every now and then. It's always busy here so it's a good idea to make reservations. The seating is a bit tight but not so bad and service is wonderful. The Bang Bang Shrimp is a must have for appetizer! It's crispy shrimp in a spicy, creamy sauce. Freaking delicious! Wednesday is Bang Bang Shrimp day and they're only $5 so take advantage of that. Original price is around $11. I ordered the Imperial Longfin which is stuffed with shrimp, scallops, crab meat, lemon caper butter. All entrees come with a side of vegetables and choice of another side. I got the potatoes au gratin. The Imperial Longfin was really good. I didn't care too much for the potatoes. Overall, this place is decent with good food but there are much better seafood places. I still prefer Passion Fish and Ford's Fish Shack.

Service was slow and the server didn't clear our plates. My meal finally came once everyone in my party was half way done with theirs. The server also disappeared on us several times, was nowhere to be seen. Although we have been there a couple of times before, don't think we'll go back.

Only giving two stars because how good the bang bang shrimp is. Got some UNBELIEVABLY terrible service the other night. First, we didn't have any silverware, so when our appetizer came out, we had to wait around to get some to actually eat. Then we order our entrees and the waitress (Lauren) sent out the wrong meal for my boyfriend, so we waited for them to bring the correct one out. (Fairly quickly, thank god) Then another member came to our party and ordered a drink, which came out wrong yet again. Then we asked for the whole bill, so Lauren brings out the check for only two drinks.. Then she finally gets it right and we pay with a CREDIT CARD. She brings back the booklet, which we find CHANGE ($50+) from a different table inside.. She brought us the wrong check booklet! I've never seen such a thing. Needless to say, we got out of there pretty quickly after getting our card back and returning the money. Such a bummer. Maybe well get it to go next time and skip the whole circus act.

Had to get the bang bang shrimp and Chilean seabass! The wait was kinda long so we opted to go the carry out route, which ended up being better for us with 2 little kids. Everything was pretty good and ill definitely be back to try something else.

The boyfriend and I came for dinner, and had about a 20 minute wait at the bar. It was a bit cramped because the door enters right into the bar area, but we got there right before the crowd, so we snagged a spot. Cool atmosphere, good service, and it was nice and cozy and dark. I ordered the coconut shrimp and a side salad as my meal. Coconut shrimp can be really good...or terribly greasy and overcooked. The shrimp came out plump and perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. The plum glaze was already on the shrimp, I would have preferred it on the side so I could dip it myself, but it was still good. The boyfriend had the kung pao shrimp, and inhaled it, so I'm assuming he liked it! The seating inside is SUPER tight. We were on an end table so were were ok, but they had some in the middle of the room which would have been a challenge getting to. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, and really knew the menu. I'm giving 4 stars to Bonefish because coconut shrimp is so often done to disaster at many restaurants. It was good here, so that rates it a better than an average score. Now, this isn't the fault of Bonefish, but, again, I find horrific planning on the part of Ashburn in getting from the street to enter this center. Now, I'm not a Civil Engineer, but I don't know why Ashburn has a love affair with only 1 main entrance into shopping centers! We tried to enter from Claiborne Parkway, and couldn't. The right turn which you would think would be a driveway goes right onto the Dulles Greenway. We had to do a U-Turn, come back...turn left onto Broadlands and enter from Broadlands. A second entrance/exit from Claiborne makes sense instead of everyone cramming into one small entrance with no light. Sigh. Anyway, regardless of the shopping center, I'll be back to Bonefish!

If Outback Steakhouse is the conveyor belt eatery for steaks, then Bonefish is the seafood equivalent, and why wouldn't it be - They are after all owned by the same corporate entity, Bloomin' Brands, Inc. Bonefish is a dark, dank and a very noisy eatery that strives to be mediocre with what it does. Dishes are bland, overpriced, and sometimes even dried out. Their side dish of potatoes is the worst offender of both dry and bland. This is a real shame because presentation wise, the dishes look quite good. Don't come here if noise bothers you because this place feels like you're in a tunnel with people shouting at you from both ends. You'll hear every conversation in the restaurant at once as if it were an amplifying wall of sound pounding your senses. Price wise, it's way too expensive for what you get. Dishes are presented as high quality in terms of display, but the taste and overall flare fall flat every time. This is especially odd because Bonefish seems to go out of its way to accompany every dish with over the top sauces that sound great on paper, but simply doesn't work in taste. Seafood fans should definitely do themselves a favor and invest the money in a higher quality seafood restaurant. This way you'll at least get what you're paying for.

My wife and I went there for the 3 rd time last night. The wait at 7 was 45 minutes on a Friday not unexpected. The locals seem to like the bar for a pick- up joint. Anyway the food: I had the red snapper special , the fish portion was I guess 3-4oz . Pretty chincy, but the thing that bothered me was the blood line was not cut out.yuk!!!! Israel couscous was on the side( stupid) and some undercooked haricot- vert. My wife had the swordfish special, it too was strange, served with pumpkin ravioli. Her piece of fish was the smallest swordfish portion I have ever seen.If I served something like that I would be ashamed. Then a bland pumpkin creme brûlée that lost it crunchy topping and the strangest coconut pie( not good) ever. The young man seating us was extremely well trained and polite. Our server did an ok job.In my view the menu items are written by someone who is trying to be trendy and sounds good on paper, but lacks any idea of what flavors go together.

I eat here about once a week because the food here is amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive and my food has never come out undercooked. I have been approached by the FOH manager on almost every visit to be asked if everything is to my liking. I love trying new entrees, especially now that they've added some items to the menu.

My wife and I had dinner here last night (Thurs. night at 5:30 pm). We started with 1/2 price drinks: I had a gin martini and my wife had an old fashioned. My martini was great. Her old fashioned needed more sugar. For appetizers, I had the corn and crab chowder, she had the mussels. Both were very good. For entrees, I had the pecan encrusted trout and she had the bang bang shrimp. Again, both were great. Our server was excellent, really trying to help us choose and enjoy our dinners. We will definitely be returned here.

Service and food are excellent at this restaurant. The pecan crusted rainbow trout is hands down the best. Only beef I have with this place is their alcohol id policy. Yesterday I was getting takeout and saw a group of 6 females in their FORTIES getting carded. Get a grip!!!

We visited for the first time last night. I was quite pleased with everything. Tyler was our server and he was very attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. I had swordfish with lemon butter. It was excellent and cooked just right. Moist and meaty. My friend had shrimp and scallops that he enjoyed as well. We ended with Key Lime pie. It was delicious and the pecan crust was awesome. The house salad was delicious. The dressing was light with a hint of sweetness. Very nice experience.

Had the Chilean Sea Bass with the Pan Asian sauce, asparagus, zucchini and tomato sides. My wife had the filet mignon with the same veggies. We indulged with the strawberry shortcake and crème brulé. Every thing was great and served timely. We can always count on Bone Fish Grill for a nice dinner.

Bang bang shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops with mango salsa; flirty waitresses and good looking hostesses; what else do you want in a nationwide seafood chain? Especially in VA. Decent place to hang out - not too pricey, good flavors, and casual enough to relax in after work for some food and drinks. We pretty much always make BFG one of the stops on all of our VA trips. I swear some of my coworkers are addicted to the shrimp appetizer. Though it is very, very tasty. Couple of must gets: bang bang shrimp (obviously), Singapore calamari; scallops and shrimp, Chilean seabass, or the John Dory.

Some info about Bonefish Grill that you may---or may not---know. Bonefish Grill is owned by OSI Partners, LLC which also owns Outback Steakhouse, Fleming's, Carabba's and Roy's. In other words, it's a chain within a chain. We came here tonight because it's softshell crab season and I try to eat softshell crabs as often as possible this time of year. The last time I went to a Bonefish Grill was 2 years ago and it was the one in Chantilly. This was our first visit to the Ashburn location. I don't like the decor at Bonefish. There is a lot of dark wood and too much low lighting. Sure, there is the occasional nautical-themed display here and there on the walls such as a silver-colored fish skeleton. However, the end result is a dark and drab restaurant. Heck, even Red Lobster is a much cheerier place. I mean, if Red Lobster can make a restaurant brighter and more inviting, why can't Bonefish do the same? (I ask rhetorically!) We were here around 5 p.m. on a Saturday night. At that hour, the bar was busier than the dining room. Though that gradually changed as our meal progressed. Service was prompt. We suspect that our server was new to the job because, as my husband put it, she had a bit of that deer-in-the-headlights look. Still, she knew what she was doing, so overall, no complaints there. The general manager was present and checking on customers. My husband refuses to get bifocals and instead has 2 different sets of glasses. Sometimes, he leaves his reading glasses at home. When he does that, he has to take off his glasses and hold the menu up very close to read it. The general manager noticed him doing that, and without prompting, brought over a large print menu. This was a nice touch, which we thanked him for doing. However, as my husband pointed out to him, even with the large print he would still have to hold it up close to read it. We started out with Ahi Tuna Sashimi for our appetizer. This comes in 2 sizes, we chose the smaller size. it consists of "sesame seared tuna sliced with wasabi and pickled ginger". A creamy orange-colored sauce was drizzled on it. We both felt that the tuna could have done well without it. The portion was small---7 thin slices of tuna. Overall, it was decent but nothing to write home about. To drink, I had a blueberry martini. This was a strong drink with very little blueberry flavoring---overall *meh* My husband had a bottle of "Arrogant Bastard Ale" which he never had before but was intrigued by the name LOL! In the end, he wished he didn't have it as he found it to be too bitter for him. For my main course, I had "Fresh Maryland stuffed soft shell crab dinner" which, according to the menu, consisted of "...sauteed crispy, stuffed with a jumbo lump crab cake and lemon caper sauce". The soft shell crab was somewhat overcooked as the claws had a burned taste to them. The jumbo lump crab was an abundant portion. However, the lemon caper sauce, while generous with the capers, had no lemon flavoring at all. This dish came with the vegetable of the day---a mixed vegetable medley with diced zucchini, sauteed onions and stewed tomatoes. Parmesan cheese was added in overabundance which, to me anyway, ruined this side dish. A little cheese would have been okay and would have complimented it nicely. However, too much cheese did it in. This dish also comes with a second side of one's choosing. I chose asparagus. I must say it came out quite well---cooked to perfection and delicious in its simplicity. My husband had Jumbo sea scallops and shrimp. This dish is on the "grilled" menu. You get your choice of 4 different sauces. The recommended sauce for this dish is "warm mango salsa". Since my husband doesn't like mangoes, it just wasn't going to happen that way for him. He chose the lemon caper sauce. For his 2 sides, he chose the vegetable of the day plus potatoes au gratin. Overall, he was underwhelmed with his entire meal. Nothing went to waste but he has had far better when it comes to flavoring. Dinner ended up costing $70 + change before the tip. My husband wanted to rate the whole experience as 2 stars. However, while the food was nothing to write home about, the service was good and attentive. That, IMO, is worth an extra star.

The last review of Bonefish grill was not good. That has changed. Tonight's Sea Bass and Tuna Entree's w Sesame Seed were excellent. We paid for the larger portion size and were pleased. Very good augratin and garlic mashed potato, salad and vegetables very good also. Saving the take home Coconut Custard Pie and Creme Brulee desserts for Net Flix intermission later this evening. Yummy.

I can't say enough good things about Bonefish. We visit at least once a week since it opened a few years back because I love fish and seafood and they do it right at a reasonable cost. For a chain restaurant they are exceptional. I love the grilled fish cooked to your personal specifications, the crab and corn chowder and the house salad. Also love the grilled shrimp and scallops and crab cakes. I have always had good service however it really gets packed on the weekends so go early.

My boyfriend took me here for dinner and I was really impressed. The food was amazing and our server was on point. The restaurant was really busy but our server still did his best. The Bang Bang Shrimp is definitely something you have to try. Can't wait to go back...

This is trying to be a sort of upscale seafood place, but I don't think it quite makes it. Reviews made a big deal of the "bang bang shrimp" which have a silly name, but tasted really quite good. Flash fried shrimp in a sort of creamy chile sauce, lots of Asian flair. They were good enough, and in particular, the dressing was good enough, that we were eating the lettuce in the bottom of the bowl by the time we were done. My entree was tilapia with a sort of creamy crab/shrimp/scallop topping. the fish (yes, I know, tilapia) was pretty boring, and the topping lacked a lot of flavor, but was all right. Their green beans were good but a bit oily, and their starch of the day were chick peas, which were a nice surprise. Nicely done, tender, tasty - much nicer than a big mound of mashed potatoes would have been. Points for venturing outside of the tuber family. A coworker enjoyed the shrimp pad thai - said it was excellent, in fact. I didn't sample it, so I can only go with what I ordered. Our service was prompt and friendly, and the bill was reasonable for what we had, including the appetizer. I feel like even though I ordered something a little boring, it was still missing something - that's what's holding this place back. I guess - go for the appetizer?

This my third time here, trying to give them a chance. Nothing has change. My wife and I sat at the bar, and after getting our drinks and an appertizer, our servie went down hill. No check back on us, no offer of another drinks. After finishing our appertizer, waited ten minutes to get bartender attention so we could order our dinners. Again, no check back on us as how things were going. No drinks offered again at all. As we left, no good bye from anyone, let alone our bartender. I'm not impress about the hype, must be this location. If I go back will try a different location, because one is not very good.

I love Bonefish Grill. My favorite is the mussels Josephine; absolutely delicious. The Florida Cobb Salad and the filet mignon and crab cake dinner is what my wife an I order. The service here is great too. I like that I don't have to drive out of the neighborhood to enjoy a decent meal.

Excellent choice in general. Food is awesome, never have I had a bad meal here. Atmosphere great, very relaxing, you feel like you could hang out there for hours. Service excellent. I recommend: Bang Bang Shrimp, Appalachicola Oysters, pretty much all fish dishes, the salads are to die for (house is really the best "house" I've had.) Great wine list. Desserts excellent. Bar atmosphere good too. And kids like it too. We've been here at least 30 times and always leave happy.

During the weekend seating can be kind of hectic. They have a few bar tables which is first come first serve but for regular seating expect to wait 30-40 mins on fri or sat night. Once seated the service is great. I have been here many times and never been upset with service. Get the bang bang shrimp which is a must. (Weds it's like 5 dollars which is a great deal). Also the mussels are excellent and the sauce is the best for dipping their bread. Which is great since I LOVE bread. For the main course you can't go wrong with the shrimp fettuccine or the sea bass! The fettuccine is a bit saucy but I love extra sauce on my food. The sea bass is def an safe and good choice

YUM! I came here with a friend last night for appetizers and drinks and it was lovely. There was no wait for dinner and our waitress was great! We split the Bang Bang tacos which were DELICIOUS, and shared the calimari. I absolutely loved the dipping sauce that came with it. It was sweet and tangy and complimented the squid PERFECTLY. We topped this all of with some red and white sangria, both of which were delicious and priced very well. I haven't had a meal that I didn't like here and would highly recommend this place. I absolutely love it and I can't wait to go back.

My husband and I love to go here for date night! We've tried plenty of places in Ashburn and Leesburg, but this is our go to spot. We always make reservations on the weekends and are seated right away, the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable, the food is delicious and well made, and I have not been there once when the working manager didn't come over and check in on us. Love it!

2.5 stars here-- no halfsies on Yelp? If suburban chain restaurants are your thing, you might want to this place. However, reservations are pointless because they'll still make you wait, regardless. Not cool. When you do wait, be prepared to either be drinking at the bar or be all up on some family's dinner table because there isn't much of a "wait" area. Food wise- their signature appetizer is Bang Bang Shrimp (lightly fried shrimp with a very slight kick)-- marginally good, sure doesn't merit the title of "signature appetizer" in my book. As for entrees- they have a decent variety of fresh grilled fish (haddock, salmon, tuna), salads and the usual non-fish dishes (marsala chicken, filet mignon, pasta). Everyone gets one seasonal vegetable side with their meal-- it's succotash season apparently-- consisted of edamame, corn and red peppers-- this was tastier than expected. For dinner, I chose the feta and artichoke haddock special with the whipped garlic potatoes. It came out a good 15 minutes later than my tables' dishes (it's ok, it was dinnertime, it's bound to happen sometimes) and the manager got me a cup of the corn chowder to whet my appetite in the meanwhile (which was actually pretty tasty). When my dish finally came out, the potatoes were great, but couldn't say the same for the fish. My fish was unfortunately avalanched in feta and what was supposed to be a nice, crusty haddock-- was mushy. Generally speaking, the wait staff and management at Bonefish Grill were great (very attentive!) but it's a shame that the quality of service couldn't match the food.

Bonefish Grill is a nice restaurant with smartly done portions (IMHO) - not too much, not too little. However, this is not the place for a quiet "date night" or romantic meal; very, very loud and very, very crowded. That said, the food was so good I could not go less than 4-stars!!

I had a miserable experience here about two years ago, and I have never gone back. I ordered a large bowl of mussels, and from the first bite, I said to the table, "Wow, these taste off. If I die, it was from this." I was kidding, of course. I tried a few more, and each one had a strong fishy taste that I knew was wrong. I spoke to the waiter and told him (nicely) my feelings, and he said, "No, they're fresh, it's just the stock and the flavor we use" or something to that effect. I tried to convince him otherwise, and he made it clear that I was in the wrong. Regardless, I stopped eating them and finished my meal with the bread served. The manager came out shortly thereafter and said almost the exact same thing that the waiter did. It sounded like the corporate line of "no, no, can't be us, don't sue" was behind every word. About three hours later, I became violently ill. Violently. For more than four days (I lost a week's worth of work), I could keep nothing down or in. It was such a miserable experience that I haven't been able to eat mussels again anywhere, even though I "know" that I most likely wouldn't have the same experience again. I'll certainly never go back there due to the experience.

My boyfriend was craving seafood so we went to Bonefish Grill and within two bites of our appetizer (wagyu beef dumplings w/crispy scallions and thai peppers) we wanted to move in! By far the best meal I've had in a long time. He had the salmon with the pan asian sauce and I was jealous! I had the scallop and shrimp and it too was delicious. Not only was the food fantastic but our waiter, Justin, was very attentive and the ambiance was delightful-even though it was very busy. All in all - great date night!

I can always count on Bonefish Grill for a decent piece of fish - cooked and presented to me with perfection. A clean restaurant, excellent staff and very nice owner/manager. Friday nights are fun too... although I would encourage them to seek out different DJ's from time to time. Keep up the great work!

I've gone here at least 3 or 4 times in the past year with my husband and other family members and have always had a really good meal. I think I've gotten salmon in different varieties every time. We always get the bang-bang shrimp as an appetizer - I think on Wednesdays it's only $5! Definitely a little pricier restaurant, so it's a "splurge once in a while" for us. You may wait a long time if you try to come here on a weekend night!

Consistently good seafood at a reasonable price. Bang Bang shrimp appetizer is great (a little spicy though) as is salmon entree. Consistently good service from wait staff. Not much experience with bartenders. Overall, a consistently good place with a cozy dining room feel.

I agree with others, this place is a chain, but their quality seems to be above average for the most part. I've known a few people that used to work there, and it was cool how they told me fresh fish was flown in each morning and cut in a special way by their 'fish cutting specialist' chefs. The 'crab cakes' aren't really cakes, more like a heaping pile of fresh jumbo lump crab meat. No complaint there. Their potatoes au gratin side is to die for. Gruyere cheese... mmmmm yummmmmy. The Bang Bang shrimp appeztier is also delicious, you should try it! You'll pay $9 to $10 for a martini-type drink, which is typical for this type of restaurant in the Broadlands area. Service is always friendly and fast, but I'd avoid the place on peak weekend hours (and they don't open til 4pm I believe), as you'll probably end up waiting for a bit before you get seated.

I was pleasantly surprised with our dinner at Bonefish the other night and while it's a bit out of our way to get there, I'm looking forward to the next excuse to have dinner there. I had a gift certificate and since we weren't sure we'd want to come back, we went all out ordering the things we wanted to try. We started with one of the specials of the day-fried oysters-and found the breading to be a bit too heavy. It covered some of the flavor of the oysters, but the aioli that came with it was nicely spiced. We liked the aioli so much, we dipped some of the extra bread into it :) Then we shared the crab soup and a caesar salad. Both were ok. We were most impressed with the generous amount of lump crab meat in the bowl of soup. At this point, we were already kind of full, but we did our best to eat our entrees--salmon, oak plank grilled, with lemon butter sauce. The oak flavor on the salmon really made the dish, despite the need for a bit more lemon. I ordered the tilapia with mango salsa which was very light, fresh and really delicious. We didn't want to forgo dessert and figured we'd order something small...boy, were we in for a surprise. We ordered the macadamia nut brownie with ice cream and it was HUGE. No joke, the serving was double what we've gotten at other restaurants, but besides being huge, the dessert was delicious. The brownie wasn't as dense as I expected--a little more cake like, but it was moist and topped with roasted macadamia nuts. Combined with rich vanilla ice cream, we were glad we stretched our stomachs to fit it in.

This is my family's favorite restaurant in Ashburn. The food is always to die for, and the service is always absolutely the best for many miles around. Our 7 and 4 year old kids love it, too. If asked where they would like to go for dinner, they will most likely say, "Bonefish!" There is butcher paper on the tables and they provide crayons to color on the paper on the table. The only downside to Bonefish is the price. I wish we could afford to eat there more than once per month or so. If there's a birthday or anniversary or some other special occasion to celebrate in our family, you will probably find us at Bonefish.

Just went there for dinner and as always they did amazing job. It was fresh really good and they were on point. I would suggest ordering the citrus salad which is my favorite. I also like to get the arctic char if it is in season and a huge MUST if the mussels Josephine. Happy eating!

My wife and I went there for dinner for the first time and were very pleased. We had great food and great service. She ate off of the gluten free menu which is one of the best we have found in the area. I could have given them 5 stars, but lets strive for perfection! I did mention that adding a handful of gluten free beers to the menu would be a huge bonus.

Tight little place to eat they need to expand as theres not much room.I could literally see everything going on at bar at my table.Belloni, beer, bang bang shrimp.Three bs! to start off.Bang bang was hot hot! Nice waitress brought us nice bread and oil, explained menu.I ordered salad, soup, scallops and shrimp w potatoes.Dessert gave us a cupcake with a candle for celebration I was having.I think this place is alright It isnt amazing in my opinion though I didnt have any complaints I wasnt drooling over my selections..Not very memorable what I ordered.Try again next time as locals swoon over this place so perhaps I should sample more things

I suppose we've eaten here 3-4 times. I'm pretty sure that they've messed up our order (or simply forgot to deliver one entree) each time (maybe once all went well). In each case that the order was messed up, the Manager personally came to apologize and offered my wife a cup of lobster bisque ... which was pretty good. I recommend ordering the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer ... delicious!

We like to go here with friends for happy hour, because the bar tables are more conducive to conversation than sitting at a bar and twisting around to talk with your friends, the food is good and even the house wine is a good quality. When we go for dinner with the family, the paper table coverings are good for a rousing game of hangman or tic-tac-toe and my son always anxiously awaits the time when the seasonal strawberry shortcake dessert is available. Favorites are the Bang-bang shrimp and the scallops and shrimp grill with teriaki sauce, but check out the specials because those can be delicious, too.

Bang Bang shrimp is simply the best. My wife and I love it. They also have other great dishes but you have to have the Bang Bang shrimp when you go. The ambience is very pleasant and we have a great time when we go here. This is a good restaurant to take a date for a nice quiet, romantic evening.

A very nice and slick atmosphere. Their specialty martinis are good and reasonably priced ($6-7). Their appetizers are good too. Our wait staff was very pleasant. They even have a hostess (or two). My only complaint (a big one) was that my mahimahi was overcooked! People! It's a seafood restaurant! Fish becomes rubber when you overcook it! You should know better! I'll give it another chance because I really want to like this place.

    (3)
  • Michael J.

Although I enjoyed the food, I will never go back again. The problem was the extremely long wait to be seated. They use a very strange "call ahead" system and they refuse to tell you how long the wait will be. They should take a look at adopting the call ahead system used by the Great American Restaurant's chain (Sweetwater Tavern, Carlyle, Coastal Flats, etc.), which makes you feel like a welcome guest as opposed to an annoyance.

I was truly impressed with the friendliness, prompt service and quality of food today all while accommodating a large group of about 20 of us! Everyone who worked there was very attentive to our needs. The bang bang shrimp is great. Shrimp and scallops in butter sauce really hit the spot!

We are regulars at Bonefish -- eating here at least twice a month. The food is always hot and consistent and the service is typically well above average.

  • Sam R.

Like Kevin says, it's a chain. But realize you're in suburbia, and thank your lucky stars that a Bonefish even occupies the space in the corner of the strip mall. What, you'd rather have an Arthur Treacher's to hit for your seafood fix?!? So if you can check your pretenses at the door, you'll be able to enjoy a place with nice atmosphere, good food and service. Starters -- the bang bang shrimp is a must, despite the kitschy name. The calamari is also very good ... crispy outside and you won't feel like you're chewing on a rubber band. Entrees -- focus on the fish people. There is a reason they call it Bonefish ... and not Bonesteak, Bonepork or BoneME. Choose your fish and then a sauce. I'm partial to the mango salsa and simple lemon butter myself. The Grouper Piccata I had a while back was also tasty. Desserts -- you could order here (the chocolate macadamia nut brownie was good), or you could walk out the door to Robek's for a smoothie, Maggie Moos for some ice cream or Starbucks for a nightcap. You know, round out your date night ...

  • H P.

I would say that Bonefish is slightly better than Red Lobster minus the cheddar bay biscuits. The bread that they handout with a basil/salt dipping sauce is really gross. The bread is overly dry and the mixture tastes much like straight salt. The rest of the food is okay but very salty and simple. Sometimes they overcook the seafood which for a sea food restaurant you would think would be forbidden. Then there are other items on the menu that are really gross like the bang bang shrimp (i know they serve this in many places but its gross, fried shrimp doused in thousand island dressing) and the scallops in bacon (overcooked and the chutney was overkill sweet.( I feel that the chef creating these monsters might have a lot of allergies that dull his sense of taste) I would only recommend going here if it is a choice between Bonefish and TGI fridays.

Generally I love Bonefish... the atmosphere is nice but the quality of food and drinks here are not as good as their locations Chantilly and Gainesville.

I've wanted to come here for quite sometime not and I finally did for the 1st time last night. As soon as we entered the place we sensed a cozy warm & calm feeling. Great atmosphere with nicely dimmed lights and a candle on each table but I pictured it much bigger on the inside. The waitress came over and took our drinks and appetizer order as soon as we settled in our seats. Thanks guys for recommending the Bang Bang Shrimp my hubby and me absolutely loved it. It was sooooo delicious and they give you so much. I was expecting 3 just as Costal Flats serves their Shrimp Fritters. And let me tell you, we had barely begun looking at the entrée selections when instantly the appetizer was brought to our table. That was the fastest service we have EVER had. Even the waitress was amazed on how quickly they were brought over to us. The bread tasted freshly baked but its herb dipping oil tasted salty to me. It could be the butter that is used to make it or maybe the chef went overboard with the salt. My daughter ordered mac n cheese w/ fries, hubby ordered the Imperial Longfin (tilapia stuffed with shrimp, scallops, crab meat and lemon caper butter) w/ Garlic Whipped Potatoes as the side and I was thinking about getting the Filet & Crab Cake Dinner but settled for the same entrée but w/ Potatoes Au Gratin as the side. Everything came out at a reasonable amount of time but his dish and mine had the wrong side. The waitress, without us saying anything, brought over the correct sides in a separate bowl and apologized very sincerely. You go girl! Now you know you can't fool an 8 yr old. When my daughter saw her dish she smirked and said "this isn't mac n cheese, this is pasta." I believe it was penne instead of macaroni. She wasn't fond of her food and the fries had an oily taste to them. Hubby liked both mine and his potatoes but did not like the fish, said it lacked flavor from its meat. The stuffing he liked. I also liked the potatoes. The au gratin one tasted home made like something you would make for Thanksgiving dinner. I would have completely loved my fish if again it didn't taste a bit salty. It was not the actual fish, it was the sauce used to make the stuffing, some sort of cheese sauce. Could it have been the cheese or was it the darn chef who made it. Since he didn't eat much of his plate, I packed it and had it for lunch today. Hubby was glad we paid with a gift card that we had. I don't think that he will be taking me back here again. As for me, I really really want to love this place. I'll definitely give it another try some day. You have potential Mr. Bonefish!! :) I rounded up and gave this place 4 stars because of the superb service.

Bonefish is a chain but their consistent quality is amazing. Bonefish is one of our favorite "go to" restaurants b/c we always know what we'll get and we know it will be good. Some reviewers slammed this restaurant but I think you need to know what to order. Their Bang Bang Shrimp is divine, as is their Tuna Sashimi. Their house salad and caesar salad are both delicious. Their fresh fish and pick your own sauce meals are sound bets for a satisfyingly fantastic meal. The staff is well trained and helpful, with attention to detail. If you haven't had the opportunity to check it out, you should!

I have never ever had a poor experience with the food at Bonefish Grill. Yes, I realize that it's a chain restaurant (a la Outback and Carrabbas), but I still hold steadfast to my stance that Bonefish is one of those restaurants that will never let you down with the quality of the food or service, especially at a reasonable price point. First, the atmosphere is great. There's a sports bar on one side of this place, and a traditional dining room on the other, and they're separated by a wall. Especially after work, you'll find a number of families and professionals dining here. Every time I've been, there's been a pleasant din of activity that's just loud enough to be busy, but not too loud to be obnoxious. The food is excellent, as well. The fish are flown in fresh, daily. Most things are cooked to order. There are daily specials which have never let me down. Always always order the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer - it's delicious: slightly crusty and fried on the outside, tossed in a slightly sweet and spicy sauce so that there's a great juxtaposition of creamy and crunchy texture that makes you go "mmmmmmmm." The service is generally top notch here - with a wait staff that is attentive and well-informed. They've always provided me with quality advice on what to order when I'm feeling wishy-washy, and they make sure that you're never wanting for water, or fresh drinks, or a doggy bag when you're done. This last trip I made out to Bonefish was slightly disappointing on a number of fronts (and the reason for docking a star): 1) the waiter that served us seemed to be totally un-thrilled about serving our table. Albeit we had a party of eight, but we were all well-behaved and polite. His entire demeanor was less than stellar, even if the service he provided was adequate. 2) Apparently house/Caesar salads are no longer included as part of the purchase of an entree. This was extremely disconcerting - they're now $2.80 additional, and the house salads are top notch here. Alas, inflation strikes again. Solid food at a reasonable price, great ambiance, and generally reliable service with a smile. This is one of those restaurants worth going to again and again.

Its all about bang bang shrimp:) j/k. Everything that i had ordered so far was great but God forbed if they are busy! The servise goes down like you cant imagin. I guess thats part of serving a good food, everyone likes it and they get busy and things get a little out of control.

Stopped in for their 18/person couples special- choice of 1 appetizer, then salads and entrees for each person. We dined w/ a total of 6 people, and they smashed us into the booth, and while I should have listened to the little voice in my head and asked for a table, I didn't, and it was just too small for 3 grown men and 3 women w/ large purses. The dinner was just ok. We had the calamari appetizer, house salads, and the shrimp/scallops and salmon entrees. Everything seemed rushed- salads were dropped when the calamari was barely touched (and back to the table issue, there wasn't any room for extra dishes), and the entrees came out three bites into the salad. I'm not really sure if the server was trying to rush us to turn the table (it was an early reservation- 6PM on a Sunday), or was bored because she didn't have anyone else to wait on. My shrimp and scallops were COVERED in sauce (again, little voice that said ask for it all on the side, ignored), which was too salty and overbearing for the scallops. The entire table had the same sentiment that the meal was just ok. Special or not, not really sure if this will continue to be a "go to" when we can't decide on any other non-chain establishment.

We had not been at Bonefish for quite awhile since I am not crazy about seafood. This visit for an early Friday dinner went very well since we avoided the usual crowds and service was very good. This is not a large facility and when crowded it does get noisy. Everyone in our party enjoyed their entrees which except for one were all beef dishes. The other was a steak, crabcake combo which surprisingly my wife liked the steak better than the crabcake. Only other quibble was that my steak was medium instead of medium rare which I let slide. I didn't want to wait and hold us up since we had to get to an event. Not sure how well the restaurant would have handled it. Other thing I noticed is that at least our server did not push extra toppings or sides. Previous visit I remember being offered extras that we accepted not knowing there would be additional charge and would have otherwise declined. Overall a nice dinner for us.

Bonefish is obviously a great place to eat. Average wait time is about 20 minutes, so you know it's good!

Best steak I've ever had! OK, so I'm from Dallas, and I know my steak. But I also love seafood, which is why my wife and I often go to Bonefish to celebrate. We're also totally nuts about the Bang Bang Shrimp. I decided to go big last night when we were celebrating, so I had the crab cake and filet mignon. The crab cake was ample, with plentiful, fresh lump crab meat. It's served with the bang bang sauce, btw. I was more excited about the steak, and I was not disappointed. I ordered it medium and it came out perfectly done. But I swear the cook made a mistake and gave me kobe. I used my butter knife to cut my wife a slice. This thing was amazing. Our wonderful and humorous waiter Roberto recommended the Rain martini with bleu cheese-stuffed olives, which was unfortunately the only martini on the menu that wasn't fruity. It was awesome. I also highly recommend the lobster thermidor they do. Good value and a delicious combination. Bon appetit!

Bonefish is so so good! Like the other said, the atmosphere and ambiance is very nice. They make excellent margaritas and have a large selection of martinis. The bang bang shrimp is a must have and to die for! The caesar salad is also very tasty. Before I came to Bonefish, I honestly did not think that I even liked fish. Since then I have tried their mahi mahi, tilapia, and rockfish. They were all very good! I also love their bread with pesto & oil. They have good asparagus (additional charge & seasonal.) I had their steak once and I wasn't very impressed. I also did not really care for their desserts. I had the brownie sundae and it just wasn't anything to write home about. But overall, I love this place!

Their dinner for two for $39.00 was a good deal. Tasty sides, yummy fish with wood smoke flavor, and a great house dressing. Very nice atmosphere when you want something a little more upscale without going overboard. This was our first trip and will not be our last.
