The salad bar is neither spectacular or horrible. Moderately fresh with a decent selection of vegetables. I appreciate the cold plates for salads but wish they had hot plates for the taco bar, wings, and pasta.

Went to sizzler tonight had steak n Malibu chicken. Steak had a strange taste and chicken was dry the rice pilaf was mushy. The only thing good was the cheese toast and the iced tea .oh yes the waitress was nice.

Went tonight and sat at my table for 45 minutes without a waiter coming over. After awhile it got comical...I got the salad bar, so I could help myself, but even when I put the old plates on the edge of my table, they were ignored. Four different waiters walked by, ignored the receipts on the table, and helped all the people around me. And I was in a high traffic zone, and a waiter seated me and told me a waiter would be right with me...WRONG! I had come prepared to leave a big tip, but ended up leaving no tip, as no one ever came to my table. Good thing I didn't order other food, or it never would have gotten to me. It was rather pathetic.

Sizzler has had their ups and downs. Lately they have their act together and getting things done for the customer. The waitress do everything in their power to get your food out and correctly. The salad bar is always stocked so give this one a try.

Salad bar is measly for the price they charge. Malibu chicken is good. Cheese toast was the best part but we had to keep asking for it 3 times before he remembered. So the Service was lousy. No thanks.

We owed my mom a dinner and she wanted to go to Sizzler. Had we known that she only wanted the salad bar we would have gone to Sweet Tomatoes instead. My wife ordered the cedar plank salmon. It was a bit overcooked. I ordered the salad bar and the steak and Malibu chicken. Loved the Malibu chicken and the mustard mayo sauce. The steak on the other hand was over cooked, had gristle in every bite and wasn't good at all. Instead of complaining I just went to the salad bar and got more avocados. The service was really good and attentive. Our drinks never got too low and they were on the ball bringing out their famous cheese toast. This place can't be taken serious for a steak house, they do have a small decent sized salad bar. Not sure I would go back though.

We went here with my dad who admittedly can be difficult to cook a steak for. The salad bar was okay. There were some things we liked and other things that one bite was all we could handle. The waitress was busy but keeping up at first. We were impressed. Then my dad got his well done steak and it was charcoal on the outside and bright pink inside. He talked to the manager and sent it back. The manager was pretty gracious about it with the first interaction. They tried to save it. When it came back, it was black. The manager never came to check that it was right. So the waitress was flagged down. My dad was telling her instructions for cooking it and she just took his plate off the table and threw her hands in the air. She clearly wasn't trained to take complaints and the manager should have been at our table. When she came back she told my dad that she didn't deserve to be put down and stomped on and she was dropping our table. He told her he was impressed by her but just wanted a steak he could enjoy. She turned to the remaining 3 at the table and told us we were great and she was sorry but she was giving the table to her manager. She walked off and the rest of the night someone only came to our table once because they were flagged down. The restaurant was slow at that point with plenty of staff. I was unimpressed by the management that they didn't make sure he was happy in the first place after getting food sent back. And by the fact that the manager told the waitress he'd take the table but didn't come back out the entire night. I gave it two stars because the waitress did do a great job busing the table until our steaks arrived. The food is what you pay for. Decent. Not amazing or awful.

They don't know how to cook steaks! Ugh what a nightmare, next time I'm just driving down to the sugar house location which is much better. The waitresses ans manager are nice

I remember coming here as a little boy. If I helped my great-grandma around the house she would reward me with a trip to Sizzler. I remember thinking that the salad bar went on for miles and that it was the best food ever. I remember the steak and Malibu chicken and mmmm the cheese toast. And I always got a soft serve cone at the end. Last night a group of 20 of us ended up at this location and it was the first time I've eaten at sizzler since I was a little boy. The salad bar was fresh and nicely stocked, the service was incredible! Absolutely incredible. The food, well, it was really bad. It wasn't under seasoned or over cooked, it was just bad. It tasted like every other restaurant that receives frozen food from Sysco and reheats it. The rolls were kinda stale (probably because they had baskets and baskets just sitting under a heat lamp at the front for who knows how long), the signature cheese toast (which you now have to request) was a super thin piece of toast and the Malibu chicken definitely tasted similar to something I have bought frozen from a local grocer. To be fair, the price is very low - just expect to get what you pay for.

Choices. 3/10 Quality. 5/10 Service. 5/10 Price. 30 bucks for two people, no drinks, no extras. 4/10 It is what it is... Average food, not much for choices. If your 60 years or older or are 60 years or older at heart than this is the place for you. Small average quality steak and all you can eat shrimp 5 at a time is about the only tolerable choice.

Don't do it, guys. Just don't do it. For the price of food, you get food product. By which I mean, this is not delicious stuff. You can get better stuff at the grocery store frozen section. The steak isn't bad, but it's also not good. And the salad bar? Forget it. It's just nasty. We went here because we tried the Sizzler's in the District and it was pretty decent. I don't know if all Sizzler's all created equal or if the District just tricked us, but this was not food. Do not pass go. Do not spend $200. Just go somewhere else with real food.

We went during dinner and it was really busy. This location was clean and had an efficient and friendly staff. Their salad bar is good and includes salad stuff w the addition of spaghetti and meatballs, small taco bar, chicken wings and soup and the quality of their food Is good too. I also had the teriyaki steak, It was cooked a little too much, but diff places have their def of "medium". They were serving hot scones w cinnamon butter, and as much as I was looking forward to their cheese bread I was pleasantly surprised w the scones. I do feel its a tad on the expensive side $$

I really, really, really like Sizzler's salad bar. I used to frequent the 400 south location to get my salad fix, that is until I moved to the southern end of the valley. Now, this is my locale of choice. Funny true story: Last year, I was at the 400 south location, and the waitress recognized me from having eaten there so frequently. Funnier true story: This week, I was at the 9000 south location, and the waitress recognized me from having eaten there 3 times in 2 weeks. Honestly, I've never had a bad experience at a sizzler. The salad bar is always fresh, tons of fresh fruit, veggies, beans, taco fixin's, spaghetti, fro-yo and comes with a baked potato. And its around $10. Well worth your time and money.... ...especially when you wind up making friends with the wait staff.

Sizzler is supposed to be a steakhouse with a salad bar. They go about things a bit different from most sit down restaurants, they have you wait in line and then order and pay first before they seat you. Then the waitress takes the receipt and gets your drinks, cheese bread and eventually, your entree. While it is different, it works. The part that didn't work for me was the steak. I got the flat iron and it would have been a decent piece of meat had they not put so much salt on it. I couldn't even taste the meat, all I tasted was salt. My brother got the teriyaki steak and he said even with the sauce on it, it was salty. My wife got the all you can eat shrimp and they were a bit greasy even for fried shrimp. The baked potato was decent and I liked the fact that they put the butter on the side so you can put as much or as little as you want on the potato. The cheese bread that they give was a welcome change from the peanuts you get at alot of steakhouses. The service was pretty good, our waitress never let the drinks get too low and was fairly prompt with the check. All in all, Sizzler would not be on my top 10 list for a steak, or shrimp for that matter.

Bring back the "We've got crab legs" commercial. That was your strongest asset.

The food was fine and the people were friendly, it's just that I have eaten the last "all you can eat" steak and shrimp ever. 4 hours of stomach ache and lack of sleep now have underscored the fact that I must learn to eat better....

when you first walk in you have the menu on the wall, but there are 'specials' that scroll on the tv screen. however you can't see the specials unless the line goes that far out towards the door area. they always seem to have to frequently switch cashiers, get a manager, etc. the people in front of us ordered, then that cashier went someplace and a new one appeared, and she didn't know which party had ordered. since the menu is on the wall before you get to the cashiers, there is much confusion ordering. the salad bar is tired. at this location they have most of the salad bar items, like lettuce and veggies, on one side and then the prepared salads on another side, separated by a 'taco bar' area. they also have spaghetti and very tired meatballs next to the soft serve machine. i wish they had baked potatoes on the salad bar. the meats are very salty. my husband had the all you can eat ribs and they were cloyingly sweet. i ordered a beer and had to have a manager ring it up and then when we were seated we waited 10 minutes or so for a waitress to appear and then another 10 minutes or so for the beer. this restaurant is loud and the service is confused and inept. i've been here a few times lately and am not impressed. i shall not be returning.

visited on 12/01/09 like most people, i haven't visited sizzler in about 13 years. from what i remember about it, i didn't care for it much. but since i was in town for a brief visit, and there was nothing else to eat, i decided to check it out. WOW, i don't remember it being this good!!! i ordered the 14oz ribeye and it was a decent piece-a-meat (i've had worse). the baked potato with all the fixins: very good. salad bar: wow, A LOT better than i remembered. and holy crap- they have wings?!?!? after about 8 of those, i remembered i still had a steak and potato coming. =) all-in-all, i had a good meal. good enough for me to consider bringing my wife and kids to the one near home.
