I absolutely love their Chicken Lo Mein! I generally go there once to twice a week for convenience and Taste and Service. They know me and know what I want every time. I would have to say that I really haven't been disappointed. I haven't really tried many other things but the General Sao's Chicken is also pretty good. I see some reviews with stars less than 5, I can understand those experiences if I had them but they seem to be 1 off's and I wouldn't suspect them to happen.

Closest thing to street Chinese food. If you don't like it, you don't know Chinese food. This is the best Chinese food in the valley and no one knows it.

This little place resides in a strip mall. One orders the food at the counter, pays and waits. It appears that a young Asian couple own and operate the joint. I ordered the generals chicken which seemed very over cooked and crunchy. The flavor wasn't bad though. The veggies were cold and the rice reminded me of something out of a box and contained exactly 3 small pieces of ham and one green pea. Weird. I'll give it a solid 2.5 stars for the type of quick joint that it is. Nothing great, nothing too bad.

The food is excellent, cooked to order. The owners are wonderfully pleasant. There's not much more I can say other than EAT HERE.

I've driven by this place probably hundreds of times visiting familyand friends, running errands and what not and never even gave the restaurant a second thought. I recently started a new job nearby and my new co-workers were telling me how great this Chinese restaurant was down the street so I decided to try it out. Mulan instantly became one of my Top 5 Chinese restaurants. The first thing I ever ordered was just the lemon chicken since I hadn't had it in years and it was great. I next had the orange chicken combo and it's not only delicious but with the ham fried rice and egg roll, there are no worries about it not being enough to eat. Same with everything else on the menu! The owner is also so sweet and nice. I tend to be slightly late when I go out to lunch but I never have to worry when going to Mulan. I simply have to call in on the way and by the time I arrive they already have it fresh and ready to go or just finishing up while I'm paying. Mulan is wife approved and I recommend Mulan to everyone who is looking for some great food

I got the general tsao chicken combo and my husband got the kung pao chicken combo. The combo comes with an entree, white or fried rice, and an egg roll, not a bad deal. Both of the meals were quite good. The general tsao's was the winner though for sure. Not too greasy and lots of flavor. The kung pao was pretty good, but 3/4 of it was vegetables and only 1/4 chicken so that wasn't the best. The egg rolls were really good, fresh and not greasy. The rice was also cooked perfectly. The family working at the restaurant was really nice. It is a nice little hole in the wall chinese place. Lunch and dinner prices were pretty decent as well, so I think we will be back to try more in the future.

Great place sir carry out or lunch. Only 4 tables and counter. Very simple, worked for a lunch for me. Cooked order with the vegetable that I wanted. Fresh and hot. 4 stars for the type of place it is. Not based on other table service restaurants.

Restaurant quality and taste for take-out price. I live close to Mulan so I drove by it many times. I even saw its pre-opening days when the interior was being made from ground up. Honestly, I was skeptical about this restaurant but I am glad I took the chance today based on other yelpers' reviews. I got the "Chicken with Mixed Vegetables" and a pint of egg drop soup. As other yelpers noted, the ham fried rice was cooked perfectly (not greasy or overpowering with oil smell) and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The vegetables tasted fresh too, although they could have used a little less soy sauce - I suggest requesting less soy sauce because it was a little bit salty even for me who like my food kicking with spices and saltiness. The egg drop soup was very good too. The soup was on par with some of the best I tried in California. Now that says a lot ! If you're in mood for a quick Chinese food fix or even considering a take-out for the whole family, I highly recommend Mulan.

Good American Chinese food. Very nice comfort food and affordable. I'd skip dine in and just do take out, but not a bad place to bring a date before going to the movies at Jordan Commons (for a cheap date, definitely not a first date kind of place!)

We have been here twice now and were very pleased both times. Staff was great and brought us all dining in a sample of something else to try while we waited. Clean inside and food was great! Tried the sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef, and sesame chicken and all was wonderful. Dinner came with an egg roll and plenty of fried rice. Great lunch specials too! Have recommended to many and they have a loyalty rewards program!!!

It was good. I got the Mongolian beef. Well flavored and would recommend. It is not amazing Chinese food by any means. It is great for a quick lunch though. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I'm going to try something a little different with my reviews now, I'm writing them as I am at the restaurant so that it will be more accurate, and hopefully a little more interesting. We're walking into Mulan for lunch, a little after 11. My girlfriend works down the street from here and has recommended it, so I thought we would try it out. The menu is posted on the window, and it looks like there are some well priced lunch specials at $5.50 each. The szechuan beef sounds good, and it comes with either white rice or ham fried rice. I order the szechuan beef special and a side of cream cheese wantons to go. They've got a good selection of sauce packets. Sweet and Sour, a Hot Mustard, a Spicy, and of course Soy sauce. After about 10 minutes of waiting they had our food out to us. I drove over to my girlfriends office and dropped her off with her food. There is sauce spilling out all over the place inside of the to go bag. I'm not sure if they just did a really bad job packing it, or if they overloaded the food. I'm at work now and setting up my meal at my desk. There is sauce everywhere. It seems to be coming from my container. The food is packed in a Styrofoam container, but it isn't the normal 3 way split kind. There isn't a divider and the thing is completely packed. This is why sauce is getting all over the place, it's like they filled it to overflowing, hurried and shut the lid, and then placed it in the bag. I'm eating out of my container that is inside of my bag because I really don't want to spread this sauce mess over my computers. The sauce packets are completely covered in beef sauce, so I'm carefully extracting them as I need them. The ham fried rice has an odd yellow color to it, but it actually tastes alright. I made a mistake ordering the beef though. When I eat at Chinese places, I HATE the dishes that have vegetables with them. I feel like it's a rip off when I could get all meat from some of the other dishes. The beef is good though. The sauce is a little overpowering though, and there is a lot of it, even after all of it that escaped the container. I wish the beef and sauce were separate. It's just too much to enjoy. The beef is good and the sauce is good, but there is just so much sauce. I can't mix it in with my rice because it all just tastes like sauce. Less sauce, or sauce on the side would make this dish a lot more manageable to eat. It's also not very spicy. I was kind of expecting a spicy dish because the menu said it would be. The cream cheese wantons are okay. I really don't have much to say on them. The cream cheese seems a little thicker than it should be though. Overall I think I got a good value out of this meal. I'm full right now. I think I'll go back and try another lunch special, maybe one that doesn't have a bunch of vegetables. You get a lot of food for your buck, and it actually tastes pretty good. I think this place could potentially be a four if you ordered the right meal for you. It's nice to have something a little more fresh than Panda Express. It's nice not to see food that was prepared 30 minutes ago or so...although I can't really verify if it's not like that in the kitchen. I wanted to knock it down a star for the mess, but I just tossed the whole bag with container into the garbage and there wasn't a drop of sauce on my desk. Plus I got a lot of food. Try it out if you're in the area, but don't go out of your way to come here.

What a nice little surprise to find a little treasure chest of authentic Chinese food in a little strip mall in Sandy! Their decor is barebones, but I dare say it is endearingly so. There are Disney Mulan posters on the wall, a few tables and chairs, and that's about it. But Mulan's nothing fancy, nothing extravagant and pretentious and it doesn't pretend to be, so all of it which makes sense to me! The important thing is that it's clean and the food is really good! I'm a fan of their hot and sour soup. Mmm. They've got fair prices for lunch and dinner. Hubby was uber stoked about how his dinner platter tasted. Real, authentic flavors. Definitely a good spot for a quick lunch. 9/10 would come back.

My favorite place for Chinese food! The staff is always friendly! Even the chefs in the back greet with a warm smile or a "How you doing?" The food is excellent as well. My favorite dishes are low mein, potstickers, wontons, and mushu pork. Very delicious!

Good food! A friend of mine (who travels the world) and I met here for lunch one day. I really was skeptical but the food was good. Expect a hole-in-the-wall atmosphere but expect good food! Everything was about $10 or under and it was so much food I couldn't finish it. ( I can eat a lot of food....you should see me naked...not that I'm offering...I look like the stay-puft marshmallow man.) To the point...you won't be overjoyed at the place...but the food is great. Probably better as take-out since there isn't much room. (Only about 5 or 6 small tables...but enough for 40 High School kids to crowd around, on top of and under while we were there). Good luck and enjoy. -Aaron

Extremely disturbing. Watched the chef go to the bathroom with his apron on. Gross. Food was left on the counter. We stayed in while we ate, and both the flat of eggs and a container of what looked like chicken sat for the 35 minutes were there without being looked after. Big no nos when you've worked in food service. Both are huge contamination issues. The food was not good in my opinion; wontons were thick and the seasoning was way off for me. Others, may like the flavor but it was not for me. Both my daughter and girlfriend hated their dishes, sweet and sour chicken and general tso's. The chicken for my daughter tasted almost like was undercooked. The Tso had no flavor and even lacked spice. Bland is not how that dish should be served. I try and give bad food a second chance, but with the contamination potential I suggest stay clear.

I love this place and the owner Ling (or Lin?) is so sweet and recommended the best dishes, Mongolian beef and curry noodles. Both dishes were outstanding! The beef was tender and the noodles were delicious! I'm from Maryland and missed out Chinese food there and now I think I found a place that is even better than our favorite places in MD! Definitely check this place out! I can't wait to go back!!

Great food and always super fresh! Quick and great service if you need to get it quick. General Tso's chicken and their chicken wings are a must!
