Best location I have found! I love Five Guys! Their Cajun Fries are the best hands down! Every time we come to this location the staff is super friendly and patient. ( It can get super busy) Their location is always clean which is nice. We never have to wait long to order or get our food even when the line is almost out the door. You seriously can't go wrong here! My favorite is the small cheese burger and cajun friend. The regular size of cajun fries is big enough to share I promise!!!

Five Guys is definitely one of the better quick burger joints around. I love that all of the basic toppings on Five Guys burgers are free. I usually get the Little Bacon Burger, which is still pretty darn big. I get grilled onions and lettuce on it, the grilled onions are delicious. Their fries are also amazing and a regular is plenty for two people to share. I love to get them cajun style, which is just a cajun seasoning that they toss the fries in, but man is it good. I really like that they have their bags of potatoes and cases of peanut oil just out in the dining area. They also cut their fries fresh and they write up on a board where their fries are from that day. I lived in Idaho for a few years, and always recognize the small potato farm towns, which is super fun. **Bonus** They have free peanuts in the shell for you to snack on while you wait for your food!

The burgers are pretty great, the lack of a combo price is really lame. I love Five Guys. They make a great burger quick. The cajun fries are fantastic as well. What I don't care for is the price. I've never left there paying less than $12+ for a burger, drink and some fries. While it is good, I can go to much better for just a few dollars more. Luckily it is a good place to go for a pair of people because you can share the ridiculously large bag of fries and come out with a good price per person. The meat is good, the selection of toppings is great, and the jalapenos are some of the freshest I've ever seen and tasted. This review is all over the place and I'm really tired. It's a good burger, but don't go alone or you will pay more than it's worth.

Five Guys is cat approved! This is the only burger we bring home that our cat gets positively crazy about. Seriously! He circles us mercilessly until we feed him a small morsel of the meat. Personally, what I love are the toppings. They're all listed conveniently for you to pick and choose from and you don't have to know some secret menu to get a burger with the works. We've also found the employees to be very nice and upbeat and they look like they run a tight ship there, no matter the location.

If you are on State Street this is the place to stop for a big burger - even the single patty works out to be a good ratio of meat to bread and cheese although I always double it up and add bacon

This has become a burger hot spot for several reasons. That being said, it is probably not in my top 3 for favorite burger joints around. THAT being said, here are some things they are doing well: 1. The fries. They are hot and crispy and you get a TON of them. 2. Unlimited toppings: Who wouldn't love to get grilled onions and mushrooms for free! True, the base price of the burger probably makes up for it, but I really appreciate all the topping options. 3. Friendly service: They greet you when you walk in the door and the tellers are up beat helpful. 4. They will lettuce wrap your burger Where I think they could improve: 1. They seem to be pretty big on advertising fresh ingredients... Which is why I am baffled that they are using processed cheese. True, it melts like a dream... But it can't beat the real thing. 2. The burger itself is lacking in flavor a little. The last time I went there I found myself looking for the salt packets. As far as price vs. What you are getting, 5 guys isn't at the top of my list, but it is a decent alternative to the traditional fast food joint.

Of the dozens of fast food places in the area, Five Guys is the best. Their burgers are fresh and tasty, with lots of options for toppings... most of which are free! Their fries are some of the best you'll find, anywhere. The service is always fast and friendly and they'll get to you quickly, even if there's a long line in front of you. Survey says... YUM!!

Five Guys is overrated and expensive. The fries are GREASY, so much that the paper bag is drenched and will stain your car seat. The burger bun is like wonder bread, and the toppings remind me of a 7-11 condiment bar. The beef itself is juicy, and tastes good. I will give them that! I do like their peanuts as well-not overcooked and tasty. Maybe they should specialize in peanuts? I will still go and get a burger at five guys when I need a quick burger. It definitely beats any other fast food chain burger. Kind of an unjustifiably overpriced burger.....

Putting 5 guys in my mouth was a dream come true. ;) Seriously though, this is a great lunch spot. It's easier to get in and out of this place than the surrounding lunch spots. In addition to being quick, the food is amazing. Custom burgers with fresh toppings made just the way you want it. It is delicious!! And DO NOT forget the Cajun fries (1 order is good for 2-3 people). The service is spot on, the food is great and it's quick to get your lunch and head on your way which makes Five Guys Burgers and Fries a great lunchtime destination!

One of the best custom made burgers out there, I love their fries especially when you ask for cajun seasoning. Burgers are large and messy make sure you get extra napkins and extra sauces as well

Two of the greatest mysteries in the world are...1) Why can't In N' Out figure out there fries need fixing? and 2) Why can't Five Guys figure out that their buns crumble and leave you with a mess? I like there burgers and love their fries, but I get annoyed with how the bun at Five Guys basically just disintegrates on you mid-meal and you are trying to figure out how to hold it with a couple of fingers while it all slops around. That may be someone's preferred way of being all American with their burger. I'm not saying I need to be all European and pull out a knife and fork to eat a burger... I just want a bun that can go the distance and Five Guy's can't deliver. I'll still eat here, but not if my new fave burger chain is close by.

When the whole package is bundled up and weighted, they do make a nice burger. And I do prefer it to many other places around town. But it's not quiiiiite my favorite kind of burger space. That distinction, of course, belongs to the divey burger joints. Five guys is still a bit too sterile for me. Not sterile in the clean way--no, no--they are clean, but I'm not fussing about them being too sanitary. I just mean that although it's solid food (a burger with strength) it's all sorta beentheredonethat. It's the kind of experience that you could have at any one of the Five Guys around town. Some would call the consistency comforting or reliable. Yes. Agreed. But if I have the chance to dive into a place called Big Mama's (true story, I found a burger joint by that name in California) I'm hitting up Mama and leaving those five guys for a time when there's nothing else around. Admittedly, the food may or may not be better, but I'm after the whole of it. Food. Feel. Atmosphere. And Five Guys isn't quiiiiite there for me.

Fresh made burgers, made to order. Hand formed. Great choices for add ons. WONDERFUL! Then add the SMALL order of spicy fries and WOW, you are happy and full. If you are leary of grease on your fries, these are not for you. One of the very best burger joints!

Really good burgers and fries just rediculously expensive. Burger and fries are the equivalent of a steak dinner with sides elsewhere.

I received great service and food from this location. The guy working at the till was friendly and ran me through the options. The food was prepared quickly and the positive attitude of the staff made quite an impression on me. I'd heard of 5 Guys before moving down from Canada but never been. Now I deeply regret going to Wendy's last week. They even had free wifi and Coke Zero in their drink dispenser.

We ordered a kid size burger and fries for the toddler. It was big enough for an adult! Burger was very tasty. Fries were thin and crispy. I liked it. They also give free peanuts while waiting for the food. Overall very satisfactory experience for a fast food chain. 4 stars because it's pricey for a fast food.

Very good burger; just understand that in Five Guys' world, a "Little Cheeseburger" is a regular-sized burger, and a "Cheeseburger" is actually a double. I like that you can choose from a list of toppings, and I appreciate the generous portion of fries (1 regular fries will feed two people). Try to avoid the busy times as the wait can get pretty long. However, I gotta dock them a star for their disappointing bun. They use basic (and flavorless) sesame-seed buns, the same kind you can get in bulk at Costco. If I'm paying premium prices for a burger, I expect premium ingredients top to bottom. It may seem like a trivial complaint, but any true burger lover will understand how much better a burger can be with a fresh, quality bun.

Best burger around. No place beats in my opinion. Fresh real meat, fresh ingredients (yeah this is starting to sound like a Papa Johns commercial) but at any rate we've never had a bad experience here from the get go. The order is always right, fresh and hot. My family loves Five Guys. The only complaint is that they made the store too small, doesn't work out well when everyone loves what you serve and there are no seats (especially when you bring the kids along).

I hate to give 5 stars to a chain, but it's the best burger. I read a great article on the ingredient selection process and all the hard work has paid off. Only problem with this location is the sewer outside often stinks.

Now days I love having choices... This is like SUBWAY for hamburgers... The only bad thing is you can't see the toppings you just have to read them off the board. So this is a pro and a con. Watch it on the fries, you are used to ordering a large - their large means a happy meal SACK of fries.

Free peanuts! That's great because you pay a ton of money for a chain burger joint burger... I liked it. But, the cost...

Cheeseburger, fresh, good... Not worth seven bucks though! And that's just the burger. Add another three bucks for small fry??? Don't think I'll be back without a coupon.

I was already aware of Five Guys' reputation for great big juicy burgers before we set foot inside the restaurant. The reputation is deserved! Love the straightforward style of the place. Would definitely return sometime.

Five Guys is one of my top 3 burger spots. The food is consistently good and fresh. There's typically a decent line at lunch, but it moves quickly. The menu is simple... burgers, hot dogs, and fries. You can choose the size of your burger and what you want on it. They make it when you order it. If your kid has peanut allergies keep them away, they have peanuts all over the place, and use peanut oil in their fries. The parking can be a little hectic at times. I recommend parking to the East of the building so you don't have to contend with all the foot and car traffic by the entrance. The dining area is too small. They should have expanded into the next building when they had a chance. I've had to hunt for a chair during peak lunch hours. People try to compare Five Guys to In&Out, but they're not even in the same league. Five Guys is way better.

This is one my favorite burger places. Great burgers and fries at super prices. The peanuts to snack on before your burger and fries cook is fun. The place is very cramped and alot of times you have to wait for a table, but the burger and fries are worth the time and space. Fresh and juicy. I would recommend a small burger, which is just one patty difference to a regular burger. They cost more then frozen burgers and are bigger then in and out burgers.

This East-coast bastion for carnivores finally invades Utah. They made their bones in the Washington DC metro area, and have dominated the mid-Atlantic Zagat ratings for years. Now you can see why. The Eastern style burgers (not an avocado in sight) are made of freshly ground and seasoned beef, gently pressed together, and made to order. That is why they are so flavorful and juicy. Standard accoutrements such as lettuce, tomato, onions, grilled onions, mushrooms, etc are no extra charge. In a nod to Western tastes, they also offer jalapenos. The regular burger has two thick patties while the 'little" burger is a single. I agree that the flavor is similar to In-N-Out (which I like very much) but the fries here are much better...the small portion is generous enough for two. It can be a little pricey, but is still better than Fuddruckers.

A great "go to" burger spot, and my favorite of the "chain" burgers. (In-n-out, Smashburger, etc...) They keep the place clean, the employees are always 75% more cheerful than you would expect, and they consistently church out great burgers. The variety of burger toppings, paired with their quality and freshness score major points in my book. I'm a fan of the grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, and their BBQ sauce. The "Cajun" fries are great as well. For a face melting burger experience throw the Cajun fries ON the burger as the penultimate burger topping.

Hamburgers are ok but I prefer Carl's Jr $6 burgers. And the fries, which I was looking forward, had way too much seasoning.

I wasn't expecting much when I was dragged along to some new burger place, but I was very surprised. Immediately, I noticed how clean the restaurant was and the free peanuts at the door. Who doesn't like free peanuts? The cashier was very friendly and quickly gave us a rundown of what to expect. We were expertly guided to choose a regular order of cajun fries, and I settled for a regular hamburger (comes with 2 patties!) The best part? All the toppings you want for free! Of course I added almost everything, including onion, grilled onion, grilled mushrooms, green peppers, pickles, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno, and BBQ sauce. Finally, we eat.! The regular order of cajun fries was enormous, as well as enormously delicious. Nice heavy coating of cajun spice, but not too salty! The burger did not taste like it was fast food at all. Very meaty, juicy, and the toppings were amazing. I would definitely recommend the BBQ sauce on any burger. It's no wonder this place is quickly gaining popularity.

I'm with the people that say it's overrated. Burger and fries were definitely good, fries were more outstanding than the burger. The menu board does not make it clear that the regular cheeseburger is actually a double cheeseburger, that was way too much meat for my husbands taste and not what he expected. Luckily, I thought to ask what a little cheeseburger was and got that. I still over ate because they give you too many fries! It's a great place if you are into super huge portions. Final disappointment, how can you have burgers with no milk shakes?

This place is definitely overrated. The best burger in the US? I think not, I still think Might Fine has a better burger, plus they serve milkshakes.

Wonderful burgers, and I simply can't get enough of their cajun french fries -- which is, needless to say, an unfortunate calamity for my cholesterol.

Very good, easily the best chain burger I have ever had (yes, preferred over in-n-out). The fries are awesome as well. I really like the sautéed mushrooms. . . yummy, yum, yummerton!

oh my... SOOOOOOOOOOO good. everything is fresh, sort of like in-and-out but even better. the fries are homemade & delicious (and HUGE). the burgers are big too! make sure you notice the difference between the hamburgers - one has 1 patty, one has 2. and they are big! will go back. lived up to the hype. vegetarians: they offer a "veggie" burger that is just a burger with all the fixin's but no meat. not actually a meatless patty.

  • Alan M.

The burgers taste like a homemade burger rather than a fast-food chain burger.
