If you're looking for a burrito that's more flavorful, zesty, and better tasting than those at Cafe Rio look no further. It has more bite and spice than their overly sweet and bland burritos. I could come here every day and never get tired of it. For the price, quality, and amount of food that's given, Chipotle can't be beat.

I love this place. I go here at least twice a week during my lunch hour. Many times there is a decent line but it goes so fast because the business is organized and efficient. The food is fresh, tasty, and they give you a ton! Much better then cafe Rio and Costa Vida in my opinion.

I love going to chipotle and it tends to never disappoint me. It depends on what time of day you go, but the line tends to get pretty long during the peak hours of lunch and dinner. I've noticed that the service isn't as fast as it is in California, but they still have great customer service. I always ask for extra tomato salsa and corn on my burrito bowl, and they always do it willingly. The only advice I have is to order in person rather than ordering online. When I ordered my burrito online the portion was half the size I would normally get if I had waited in line and ordered my bowl. I was pretty disappointed, but now I know not to order online.

WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED TO CHIPOTLE!! I just watched 3 employees here try to wrap the burritos for the lady in front of us, it took them 4 tries and 4 tortillas, for 1 burrito! What a joke. To be fair, her burrito order(s) sounded something like this "4 scoops of steak and 1 scoop of chicken, double rice, 4 scoops of hot sauce, 3x cheese, 3 scoops of sour cream, 4 scoops of corn, and 6 sides of guacamole..." Sadly, I'm not exaggerating! By this time, there's a line of people waiting for their half made burritos on the line, which was held up because of the hungry and very particular lady. I've never seen 15+ burruitos sitting there for so long, I'm talking at least 10 minutes because of the fiasco. She had no shame or concern for the situation she unleashed; it was at least entertaining, although very frustrating being behind her. She was rude to the employees for not being able to wrap her burrito up well. These people annoy me like no other! Then, I watched the lady working smear the hot sauce, chicken and steak all over the bar from ladies said burrito. The lady working then proceeds to wipe our veggie burritos through the slop of hot sauce and meat from the bar; getting the crap not only on the outside foil, but our tortillas as well, hello cross contamination!! This is by far the worst Chipotle location in the Valley. This is the 3rd awful visit in a row to this location and my absolule last. Every other location will put the guacamole that comes with a veggie burrito on the side, so I can have it with the chips we purchase additionally. Sadly, they weren't willing to make this request for me. My assumption was they were pushed over the edge by the accommodations made for the previous lady. I'm baffled by the lack of knowledge and common sense that I just dealt with from the staff here.

This Chipotle was actually the very first chipotle I visited despite them being a chain and all. The setup felt like a bit like Café Rio, except with healthier ingredients without sacrificing flavor. I remember seeing them listed as one of the top 5 healthiest, or lesser evil, fast food chain in the US. Burrito is usually a safe choice if you are not into the healthy stuff. The burrito bowl felt slightly healthier. For some reason I really like the corn selection for veggie, since not many places serve them within a burrito. Their chips were good too, and I only wish their spicy salsa was spicier. If you are unfamiliar with the chain, there are a lot media about them, and I think there is even a Netflix documentary about them.

It's fast food, but it isn't bad. It's on par with Cafe Rio...but this is a national chain, so you can Facebook about it and your friends in New York will no where you ate lunch after going to the gym. I'm sure you've seen all the news articles already but the ingredients seem high quality. One man's opinion is that their average sized burrito should not be consumed by any one person alone. Chop it in half and share it with a buddy. It will be doing not only your buddy and wallet a favor, but also your gut you fatty.

Lacked flavor and gave smaller portions. Now I understand why this place is the choice of healthy eating enthusiasts. Not my cup of tea. When you crave Mexican food, you want bold flavors. Spicy and tasty. Big portions. This place is the complete opposite of that.

I'm a big Chipotle fan. I eat at Chipotle at least once per week. This location is about what you expect except the girl who served me (slightly heavy, long dark hair, not sure her name) seemed to be singlehandedly trying to improve the company profits by cheating everyone about 1/3 of the usual spoon full of ingredients. It's not often I need to ask for more of anything, but in this case I had to ask for more of everything. When I asked for "A little more Chicken" She said "I will have to charge you extra for that". I think she was already annoyed I had asked for a little more rice and beans. It was lunch time last Thursday. Then when I was eating there was a lot of FAT in the chicken. Quality is going down and so is service. Sad day for a Chipotle lover ;(

This location could be cleaner. I ordered tacos ahead for pick up, and they weren't even wrapped up fully (lettuce was spilling out the sides). I also asked for extra rice and corn and was disappointed my request was not fulfilled, whereas in other locations it has been. When I arrived to pick up the food they said they ran out of pico de gallo and were currently making it, which would be about 5 min. They offered me a large drink free of charge, which was really nice of them. Things like this make me much more willing to come back in the future.

Worst service I've ever had at a chipotle and skimping on the meat.. I wish they ran them well in Utah

Just last Friday, I was in line at the Chipotle in Barstow, picking up dinner for the family. We had just finished a fantastic week at Disney, and were on our way home. We stopped at a little Motel 6 in Barstow, and were delighted to find that a Chipotle was close by. We eat plant based, and sometimes it's hard to find something great to eat. Now, exactly one week later, I'm in line at Chipotle again, picking up dinner for date night. Two Sofritas Burritos, with guac. And yes, I know the guac costs extra :)

No, no, no, no...I just don't understand how people can rant and rave about Chipotle. Somehow I've avoided the hype for years, until last night. Last night I finally tried it for my very first time and was blown away by how average it was. I haven't hated a place like this since Cheesecake Factory. I picked up a carnitas burrito with black and pinto, lime rice, sour cream, both salsas and some cheese. The food was made quickly, I paid, and began the search for a table. There was 4 of us and so the round booth table looked perfect...except that it was covered in chunks of food and other trash. So instead we sat at a small square table for 4. The atmosphere is the awful let's build everything out of tin cans and the most echoey material we can find so that no one can hear what they are saying, let alone what people 2 feet away are saying to them setting. I don't understand this trend and I'm done with places that do it. The hot sauce selection is lame. Cafe Rio has 10+ different types of hot sauces, including some great ones like Killer Bee and some of the Iguana sauces. Chipotle has Tabasco and only Tabasco. At least they have the green pepper and chipotle Tabasco sauces, but still, very weak selection. I couldn't make my burrito spicy, which makes no sense at any Mexican restaurant. Taco Bell has a better hot sauce lineup than these guys, which should never be the case for a $7+ burrito. Then there was my burrito. I can't find words to describe the levels of average it was. It was just there. It had no flavor to it at all. I would compare it to eating flavorless oatmeal. Maybe I made a mistake in getting carnitas, it was a "I've never been here before" panic order, but with how disappointing this food was I don't think I care to come back and try the other meats. Maybe I've been spoiled by the other great Mexican places around, but I don't think that's the case. I just can't figure out why people willingly go to places like this. When we left that round table was still dirty, some say it still is to this day.

A chipotle burrito is like the size of a small child, they are huge. But so delicious. I really like the chicken burrito, with brown rice. They have really delicious salsa, I like the green which is medium level spice. I also like the corn salsa on my burrito. The tortillas are always warm, soft, and chewy; I love them. The chips and salsa are good, but I feel like sometimes the chips are a bit stale, because they bag them all up at the beginning of the day. My husband is always craving Chipotle, so we are definitely regulars.

  • Hollis D.

Went here for the first time and I must say, I was quite disappointed. Basically a knock off Cafe Rio but not even half as good.. the food seemed like it was missing a lot of flavor, my burrito came wrapped in aluminum foil and served in a fry basket with a sheet of wax paper inside. Trying to cut through the burrito just got pieces of tin and paper in my food. I wouldn't go backt here again. Especially seeing how small the menu and portions are.. not to mention, the prices weren't that great either..

Love Chipotle! The burrito bowls are amazing, make sure to add guac (it is extra but they give you so much it's very worth it) and the mixed peppers. They are healthy choice and the meats always taste so fresh. The burritos are also delicious and very big! The salsa gets spicy so be careful on that end.. The service is always quick and friendly.

I was a diehard chipotle fan until I moved to an area where this was my closest option. I gave it a decent amount of chances before it became too much when I got food poisoning from their steak. Time after time I have had problems with their meat here- the chicken is often burnt or very fatty, the steak is almost all fat. And I can agree with others that they do give very small portions in comparison to chipotle standard. Sadly this experience has turned me off from chipotle forever.

  • Deepika S.

It's usually busy at this Chipotle, but the line moves fairly fast. The food is consistently good here, only problem is that during lunch hour it's hard to find a table especially if you have more than 2 people.

  • Joesf P.

Was addicted at first bite, and no matter how many times I come here there's nothing like a Chipotle burrito. I love Chipotle but this location as of recent has gone down hill. Asked for double meat and it's the portion of 1/2 and 1/2! Then get charged the full amount. It's worth the drive to another location. This is the last time I'm coming the the one in Sandy.

  • Makenzie L.

This chipotle location is on point. It's tasty and quick and the restaurant is clean. I loved the chicken bowl that I got. Perfect amount of food. It's not a huge portion like Cafe Rio but it has a very unique flavor. I love it!

Seems like the staff have been changed but its all happy now. They are smiling and putting in good portions like Chipotle does.. I am so happy!!!

Food is always fresh and generous portions. But I found the service at this location awful. My total came to $7.01. So I ask if I can have a penny to avoid carrying $0.99 in change - because I saw that they had a cup with about 20 pennies in it. No, sorry, that's our tip jar. We can't give you a penny from there. A tip jar at a chain fast food restaurant. Really? And with mostly pennies, in it, you're not going to take one penny from your tips to give to a customer? So, instead I give him my debit card to charge and the guy was totally bothered that I changed the tender type. First of all, tip jars at non-service restaurants bother me. They're not tip jars. They're 'spare change begging jars'. They just want you to give them your spare change. And if they're not going to at least use it to help customers, then you care more about your $0.05 cut of the spare change than you do about customer satisfaction. While I do like Chipotle, the management at this location is running a loose operation, based on what I experienced.

  • TarraMcFarrah L.

Love their food, came in on 01/20/2015 around 9:30, the staff seemed very robotic in their overall presentation to the customer, could be because it was late and people are tired, but still as an individual that has worked in the customer service field for quite some time, regardless of what stresses you have in life you do not let it affect your customer service performance.

This visit was really bad. Very unprofessional service. Everyone was more interested in playing around behind the counter more than servicing the clients. Not a great experience.

Not a good impression after the big hype that Chipotle is in town. The interior makes you feel like your having your lunch in jail and paid with it out of your pocket. Food on the ground every where, you can tell no one wants to clean, wasn't even lunch hour or busy.... jails a clean. The food was just not authentic at all, tasted like a half ass Cafe Rio with half the meat or food in general they would serve for the same price (you won win over the competition this way). Ordered the burrito bowl and I think they tried to intentionally tried not to give me and my buddy our tortillas, wouldn't of known since it was my first time if it wasn't for another friend who said something. Maybe it was me, maybe it's just this location. Either way I won't ever be going back, waste of money. If your wanting to try out Chipotle, I would suggest another location (if there is one) and avoid this place at all cost.

Thursdays are a good night at Chipotle. The guacamole was especially good. They consistently have fresh food and the chicken is grilled nicely.

Vegetarians beware! Or just learn how to read.... I ordered a bean and cheese burrito, and thought that it was absolutely amazing. The portions are huge, and you never have to wait long for your food. I loved every bite of my burrito, and planned to add this place to my top 10 favorite burrito joints. I then came back for my second visit and read over the menu a little more carefully. To my utter disgust, they cook their beans with bacon. To a vegetarian, beans seem like an innocent treat. Not at Chipotle they aren't. I sadly can no longer return :(

The food is good. I always get the chicken burrito bowl when coming here. I have yet to find my favorite sauce to go with it. I'm such a whimp I wish they were not so hot to me. I definitely love this place more than Cafe Rio. The people are a lot more friendly and there can be a huge line and yet you are not waiting more than five minutes unlike the twenty or thirty at Cafe Rio. This location is by far the BEST!!!! You can't go wrong here for friendly faces and fresh food!

    (4)
  • Dave B.

Adding guacamole is an extra $1.50 or so but it will make your burrito even better! The service and freshness of food here is off the charts in my opinion. Much better than the other fast food mexican around.

  • Preston S.

I love Chipotle, more than the similar competitors such as Costa Vida and Cafe Rio. However, I feel depending on the worker I range from a 1/2- 1 lbs. burrito. Sadly I have been getting a lot of burritos that have been closer to the 1/2 lbs. Other than that, this place is great!

  • Kara T.

I love Chipotle and this is one of the only locations close to my house. The people are always friendly. On a recent stop, close to the close of business, they were out of steak. I was bummed, but they did their best to fix it. I'll be back because I can't get enough of my burrito bowl with steak, white rice, pinto beans, mild and corn salsa with extra sour cream, cheese, and lettuce.

Must try the tofu! Quick service with a smile. Great food. Nothing fancy but always happy I went here. Portions are just right too... I can get full without needing a nap.

Great Sevice Good expected variety in their Chipotle menu. If you've never gone to Chipotle, there are some things that should make you go to try it at least once. First, they make sure their ingredients are top notch. Including their meats, which can always be a sketchy topic in the food industry - horse meat anyone? yeah - they don't do that here. Also, they have a nice patio in the front to eat with the sun. Is it an ethnic experience where you'll feel like screaming AyAyAyAy... nope. super amercanized - kinda hipster-ish. But clean, fun, and nice. Prices are ok - less than 10 bucks for a good portion. Their burritos are pretty big. My favorite is carnitas, but everything is pretty good, including the veggie burrito.

  • Johanna P.

At every Chipotle I've ever been to if i asked for a little bit more beans or chicken they would do it free of charge. This place seems to be so stingy and their customer service could be better. I won't be back to this Chipotle.

Service was good. Clean store. I was just not that impressed. Really not much different than other places I have been to.

I love the food at Chipotle! However this one seems a bit stingy with their serving sizes. If you go around dinner time expect to get a smaller meal for full price. I typically go around lunch and 4/5 times I will get a pretty good sized serving. It really depends on the day I guess. Also I've noticed, that if there isn't a lot of people there you will get a larger serving, however that is rare since their food is so damn good!

One of the best chipotles I have ever been to. Clean fast tasty, everything chipotle should be. This one is run very well and we have never had an issue with anything. Highly recommend this place.

It's Barbacoa. Or maybe Chipotle is Barbacoa? I think I just blew my mind. They do burritos and tacos. The food is fresh. It's like a cafeteria. I used to eat in cafeterias when I was in grade school. It's fast. It's reasonably priced. Did I mention it's Barbacoa? Or was it the other way around?

By 1 the lunch rush is gone. Smooth sailing to burrito heaven. the chicken burrito with white rice, pinto beans, hot sauce, a little sour cream and topped off with cheese and lettuce is a little slice of lunchtime heaven. You can also get it as a burrito bowl if you want to skip the tortilla calories (please note this is craziness). The people that work here are awesome and friendly and fast! You can walk up and see a line out the door and yet you have your food in 5 minutes or less. They serve great food and they do it with a smile. I love Chipotle and this is one of the best locations in the valley!

  • Gifford L.

Chipotle rocks! Similar to Café Rio, Costa Vida, or Baracoa except the portions are smaller and the ingredients are supposedly healthier which seems to be true. What really elevates it for me their Vegan Soferitas taste awesome on street corn tortilla tacos.

  • Joshua S.

The two words that come to mind when thinking of today's (first time) experience here are average and underwhelming. I ordered the barbacoa burrito bowl with a side of guacamole. The guacamole was delicious. Everything else didn't taste very good, and didn't really make any sense together.

  • Tess H.

The sofritas will have you rethinking tofu. Ask for a sample or a half-and-half if you're afraid to commit. And they have Dos Equis Lager. All this, and a corporate conscience, too? A good thing.

i have become obsessed with chipotle every since my coworker picked this place for lunch a few months ago. i'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, but this place goes on my list of exceptions. i love it so much that i've been trying to replicate it myself at home (still need to figure out the cilantro rice). since i don't particularly enjoy cooking this says a lot. i always get their burrito bowl with extra pico, extra corn salsa, extra cheese, and extra sour cream. they're pretty generous when i tell them extra and i appreciate that. it's quite a bit of food and i always intend to take some home as leftovers, but i have yet to actually use the to go top i ask for. it's just so good i can't stop eating!

I'm a huge Cafe Rio fan. So when we moved to Dallas and there was no Cafe Rio---well, enter Chipotle. And now, I'm kind of a fan. If you're dieting...burrito bowls are great. If you're not dieting, the chicken burrito is the really good. If you like a little spice, request the medium salsa. The hottest one is REALLY hot. The chips and salsa are great. The chips are salted with a yummy lime-salt. My kids love their rice and their milk for whatever reason... It's twice as much to eat here as it is at Cafe Rio, since kids eat free at CR, but it's a nice change every once in a while :)

I had my FIRST Chipotle experience this weekend and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. I've been living in fear of the notorious 300+ calorie tortilla, but I figured it would be fine since I split a carnitas burrito with my mom. Again like at Qdoba, these burritos are deceptive in their size. They're short, fat brick sized burritos and they are STUFFED with carbs. I thought it was weird to have white rice in a burrito, but it was good and tasted like lime and cilantro. Plus they have beer and chips. What's not to love?

  • Preston N.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!! There are a ton of them in Minnesota (where I'm from). I was very excited to see several in Utah. the closest one to me is about a 25 min. drive but it is worth it! This location has a very friendly staff and are always in a good mood when i go in.

Love Chipotle, just not this location. They have a manager that has long hair in a pony tail and when he is working the food is never as fresh as it should be or taste the way it should. You can come back when he is not working and it's a lot better. Update that manager switched stores this chipotle is awesome

I had a huge burrito here, filled with black beans, rice, sour cream, salsa, shredded beef, and cheese. Very tasty and fresh. Although its a sit down restaurant, you can eat here in a hurry.

These burritos are built like a British bull dog. They're short, thick, and very salty. I got one ingredient in mine that I didn't ask for, a piece of plastic. It looked like it was probably a prong off of a plastic fork. I called to let them know about the tooth endangering utensil biting ordeal. They told me to come back in with the evidence and a receipt. By the time I had returned there were 2 mallard ducks (see pic) hanging out right by the entrance of the 5 Guys next door, apparently they have better dining instincts than me. The girls at Chipotle asked me how they could make it right. I agreed to a new (plastic free) burrito, chips and guacamole, and an extra tortilla so I could feed the hungry ducks that weren't getting any love from the 5 guys patrons. After reading the review regarding the 300 calorie tortilla and confirming it to be correct, I felt kind of bad that I may have sent the ducks on a path to diabetes. The entire burrito is 1000 calories, half of the recommended amount for one day.

Chipotle is the BEST Mexican food HANDS DOWN! Don't care where I eat or the employees, I rate this place 5 stars EASILY because of the amazing food. Cafe Rio and Costa Vida is trash compared to Chipotle. Highly suggest this place.

I've always been a Cafe Rio fan but I think I've converted. They don't have "smothered" burritos, but their meat and rice and whatever else they put in it is so juicy that it doesn't need it! So yummy :)

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
