Diabetics need to monitor the intake of carbohydrates to control the blood sugar levels. Diabetics can surely enjoy at Denny's Diner as most foods offered on the menu contain less sugar or no sugar at all. However, you need to be careful with the carbohydrates content and sodium intake while dining at Denny's.
Foods to Avoid at Denny's for Diabetics:
Most foods served at Denny's are low in sugar but also high in sodium. Be careful while ordering food at Denny's and keep a check on both sugar and sodium levels if you're a diabetic. Avoid desserts totally at Denny's to avoid sugar spike. In the dinner section, avoid Bourbon Chicken Sizzlin' Skillet to limit your sugar intake.
Also, skip the Boneless Chicken Wings at Denny's as they can also spike your sugar levels. Besides plain coffee, different types of tea, diet coke, and tomato juice; every other drink available on Denny's menu is a big no for diabetics.
Denny's offers low-sodium options on their menu for people with high blood pressure. You can also order low-sodium foods or specifically ask the chef to add less salt in their orders.
Foods to Avoid at Denny's for High Blood Pressure
Most foods at Denny's are high in sodium content. Ensure to skip any food item which has over 600 or 700 mg sodium on Denny's Menu. Most burgers and breakfast dishes are high in sodium on Denny's menu. Stay away from items that are offered with extra cheese and sauce at Denny's to limit your sodium intake. Most salads are also high in sodium content and you must be cautious while ordering one at Denny's.
Food Suggestions for High Blood Pressure at Dennys
Just like low-sodium foods, you can also order low fat or low cholesterol meals at Denny's. If you are concerned for your cholesterol levels, then you can try food items from Fit Fare or 55+ menu at Denny's. Most food items offered under Fit Fare and 55+ category rais low in cholesterol and very healthy.
Foods to Avoid at Denny's for High Cholesterol
Denny's breakfast and dinner menu are loaded with fatty food sources such as steak, pancakes, cheeseburgers, etc. Ensure that you keep a check on the cholesterol content on each food item you order at Denny's to control your cholesterol levels. Avoid fried and scrambled eggs to keep your cholesterol in check at Denny's.
Also, skip food items served with Nachos as they are also loaded with high cholesterol. Almost every regular sandwich offered at Denny's is high in cholesterol. It is recommended to skip them at Denny's. While the salads are healthy, you must skip Cobb Salad as they are high in cholesterol. Similarly, keep the burgers at bay as well while dining in Denny's.

This review is solely based on the service cause let's face it, Denny's food is what it is. I don't see why the service here is rated so poorly. I found the service here to be quite exceptional. Our server was Brandi and she was great. Continually checked up on us and refilled our drinks.

This Dennys was definitely not one of the cleanest places I've been to. The bathrooms were gross and so was their dinning floor. I honestly remember thinking to myself that I wouldn't be surprised if I got food poisoning. The service was... Good. Our waiter was extremely nice and very funny! He was what saved our experience with this location. But, getting our food was kind of slower than most and, it was 2 in the morning, so there weren't many other customers to serve in the first place. Other than it being really dirty, it was a fun visit! I'll probably go to this location again if there isn't anywhere else to go.

Bathroom's are not the cleanest, but besides that, Denny's is a decent spot for late night fare. With nothing else open in the area at 3am on Monday, this was our only option to get our grub on. I've never ventured away from their breakfast options, but I decided to do so after seeing how big of a variety they now offer in other items. The Bourbon Bacon Burger was a hit. It looked just like the picture and I was impressed with how good it tasted. It was a pleasant surprise. The fries they came with were far from the best since they were under seasoned. Thankfully a side of mayo was brought out as suggested by our nice waiter, and I made some fry sauce to liven up my potatoes.

This Denny's could be as good as all the others but service is slooooowwwwww!! Seated quickly, took my order just as quick and coffee was hot and waiting. Asking for another cup of joe, that's another story. Place was not packed but the servers are anything but quick. Waited 15 for another cup of coffee and another 10 for the third cup. The place is as mediocre as all the other Denny's but the food is good.

It's a Dennys.....We're all here for the same reason haha. Elizabeth was absolutely the sweetest waitress I have had in quite some time. Definitely made the Sunday hangover so much better. Thanks!

They're out of several menu ingredients, reasonably sized to go boxes, and manners. The waiter is either in experienced (based on the now hiring sign) or a moron, in an empty section he seated a group of loud individuals next to an individual reading a book.

I'm not sure why some people say they received so many bad services here. I live 10 min away from this place. I have gone here many times and have had many different servers; they all treated me and my gf well every time. The food, well it's Denny's...it is what it is, not going to be perfect like a 5 star restaurant; however it is still delicious considering its opens 24/7 which is convenient!!! Come on now, 1:45 am the night after Christmas and this place is open. Not going to find any other place like that in Utah. We came in and ordered the club sandwich with the grand slam which consisted of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. It was a delicious late night meal that definitely trumps the typical fast food restaurants across the street. P.S Our server Desiree was super delightful considering that she had to work all Christmas evening until late morning. If you're reading this, "Great Job."

MUST READ!!!!!! This is hands down the WORST Denny's I have ever been to. We called to get a takeout order and the man on the other end seemed very competent and repeated our order to us several times. I myself got the ultimate skillet and my friend got the lumber jack slam. It was a breakfast we were both excited for since we both hadn't eaten since the prior day. Let it be noted that I am not a picky eater, I am known to eat whatever whenever and enjoying it. However, when my friend arrived back with the food we opened up the containers and to our surprise (horror) they had forgotten the potatoes in the skillet!!! Yes. You read that correctly. They forgot the main ingredient that makes up a skillet, the red potatoes. They also cut up a full cold tomato and stuck that on top instead of the promised grape tomatoes. It was greasy and inedible. I did not touch it. My friend's lumber jack slam had disgusting over salted meat, to the point of being inedible, and stale hard pancakes that were a step away from being considered a week old sponge. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT EAT HERE. complete waste of money and energy. Please check out my photo of the skillet, it is definitely not a sight for sore eyes.

Other than the apparent and strong smell of sewer problems right as you walk into the front door, the service was really awesome and the waitresses were very friendly. However they need to do something about the overwhelming smell right as you walk in.

I guess it's not really fair to expect much from a Denny's, but since I've been to decent ones it still disappoints when it's a crappy experience. If we weren't in a hurry to get on the road, the sewer smell in the restaurant would have had us leave immediately. The hot cocoa that was served to my small child was scalding hot and unable to be enjoyed(common sense would say to have an appropriate temperature for the person ordering). Spaghetti was brought out instead of the pizza that was ordered.. Then the pizza was rather unappetizing. Felt as if we were an inconvenience for the server.

I've visited my share of Denny's, and this is hands down the most disappointing Denny's I have ever been to. The service was poor, it took 5 minutes to get a refill on my drink and they weren't even busy. The restrooms are also in quite terrible condition, and the restaurant in general had a mild foul stench, which prevents me from even scoring the quality of the food. Skip it and go to the closest Denny's in SLC on the east side of the highway instead.

Arrived in SLC, very hungry, after a long drive across the state of Wyoming. Denny's is always reliable for satisfying food at a reasonable price. We walked in to this Denny's and waited to be seated for more than 5 minutes. Both a male and a female server walked past us numerous times without even acknowledging our presence. Finally I announced that I was "counting to 30 and we were leaving." After 30 seconds we walked out and found another Denny's.

Worst Denny's I've ever been to. I went twice, just to see if the first time was a fluke, but both times the service was horrible, the food was badly cooked and burned, and nobody seems to care. At all. HORRIBLE.

Went there this evening with my two roommates. Our server was very unattentive and kept forgetting our order while he was writing it down. Server did not take away menus once we ordered. My roommates drinks came out and then he turned to me and asked me for a third time what I wanted to drink. I repeated my request, and I finally received my drink. We ordered an appetizer, which came out with the main meal, but they were trying to get our order in in front of a few large parties, so whatever. Roommate one's Grand Slamwitch was okay, but roommate two complained that his hash browns smelt of and tasted like a harsh grill cleaning supply. I didn't notice it at first in my hash browns, but mine was the same way. Our server finally came back to see how we were when we let him know of this issue. He took our plates and disappeared. About 5 minutes later himself and the manager, who barely spoke English returned and asked what was wrong. My second roommate, who use to work in a kitchen explained the grill cleaner theory and we were promptly told they only clean the grill around 4 PM, and this was almost midnight. We were presented with a 20% off coupon for use on our stay as compensation, but felt a bit more was necessary.
