holy heck do i love sand trap! As someone who likes to occasional drink a few brews and embarrass myself in public by singing karaoke terribly, the sand trap is my place. the bartenders are always on top of their jobs and right there when ya need them. The karaoke DJ is superbly awesome and did i mention cheezyfries? yes, greased and cheezed to perfection. How rare it is to find a bar that is not only super fun but hecka clean too! yes, you may have to play a little tetris to potty but who doesn't love tetris? and besides, its always clean!

This place is like a second family. Great service. Straight forward food and spirits. Cheap and inexpensive and just a chill place. Everyone is always very nice. They always have good deals on food.

Came here on a Friday night, it was a little slow but the service was great. The bar tender Roberto has great customer service skills. The cook jori know what he is doing. I would strongly suggest this place to anyone. There is also karaoke there. There is many drink options and there is always music playing. The parking is the no longer a members only. I would strongly suggest anyone coming by and check it out. You have nothing to lose (but stress)

Both times I've eaten here I've ordered breakfast. They have brunch on Saturday and Sunday. I like eggs so you cannot really go wrong with breakfast. The veggie omelette was tasty. The jam for the toast seemed old and gloppy, but otherwise, everything tasted good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They have decent music playing and a Creature from the Black Lagoon pinball machine that's fun to play. They said the place gets hopping during Karaoke which they have 3 nights a week.

I haven't been in the Sand Trap for many years, thought we would stop in for a beverage and a bite. The bartender was very friendly and accommodating and she provide good food and beverage service and she followed up on both, never leaving us wanting.. We were very hungry so I ordered a Philly cheese steak and the wife was glad to see they had extended breakfast service on Saturday and Sunday so she could get breakfast at 2:00 in the afternoon. Food came out in a reasonable time, portions were good, flavor was good. The Philly had chunks of seasoned steak (not thin slices like one might expect) and tasted pretty good. The wife's breakfast included perfectly cooked eggs, bacon and toast and not so great hash browns but overall a good breakfast. In summary, good service, good beverages & good food in a clean dive bar environment who could ask for more.

My wife loves Karaoke and we have not been since we moved to Ogden or Utah for that matter. I looked this place up on line and decided to give it a shot. This is definitely a dive bar which is not meant as a negative comment. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by the girl behind the bar and received our beers pretty quickly. We arrived around 9pm and the Karaoke did not start until about 10..It filled up ok with a mixed crowd from college kids..one who got hammered and obnoxious, to locals and a middle aged crowd..the Karaoke guy was nice and kept it fair for everyone so you my wife got her mic time.We got a sampler that was not very good but what I expected. The outside is kind of sketchy but don't let that deter you..the people were nice, the beers were cold and served in a timely manner. We were going in for a couple of drinks and ended up staying till close...

I went for their Monday steak special for $5. Was it a premium cut? No. I did call ahead to see what cut it was, and the employee said ribeye...it was far from it. Yet, for $5, I can't complain. I'd go again, for the steak was seasoned well, but I will not pay the normal price on other days. Drinks are priced well also.

Older bar set up...better places in the area. Drinks are not too expensive but parking is in the back area is bad. The people that go there are nice and the bartender is cool. The tables are older and the seats are from the 70s. Only two pool tables.

I was in town visiting some friends and found this place online thought we'd give it a try. Ok so its not a fancy bar but it was clean and had good A/C. And did I mention... they serve drinks with crushed ice!!! Garrett was a super friendly and helpful bartender. I'd definitely come back for an afternoon drink!! PS.. my friend Wendi says to mention the covered parking... it will protect you from the elements year round.

Ohhhh the Sandy Rap I feel like I have a love/hate relationship with you why is that?? Let's get a few things straight this bar is a shit hole no doubt about it, but if you're okay with that like I am it can be a fun bar with the right ingredients. The best recipe for a fun night at the Sand Trap is as follows 1. Karaoke- Some of the best times I have had at a bar have been here on Wednesdays for karaoke with Jackson the Karaoke Dude. Depending on the size of the crowd you may only get to sing once but Jackson is fair about how he chooses who sings and I like that even if I do only go once! 2. Live music-The Sand Trap has some really decent talent come through mostly hippy Jam bands and Indi alternative rock both genres I enjoy. If there is a band expect to dance the night away. The bar tenders are pretty nice and the drinks are reasonably priced things I don't like are 1.-Only one stall bathroom 2.-Looking into the shitty apartments that are attached to the bar and I swear to God the doors to these apartments are always open hot or cold rain or shine, the weird thing is I have never seen anyone in one nor coming or going from one????? 3.-The bar is small and with the dirty hippies that hang out here it can get pretty skanky in there. Also there is usually No Cover to get in and that is most def a good thing!

There are a lot of great things about the Sand Trap. My band (Light/Black) played there last week, and even though there wasn't a big crowd, we still were impressed and had a great time. Upon our arrival the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The place itself is a little "dive bar" like but, it was a lot cleaner than most places of the same caliber. Good vibes all around. We would definitely play here again if invited back.

Prior to visiting the Sand Trap, I had been told it was boring old man's bar. Well that was pretty far from the truth based on my experience. The place was pretty happening with a good mix of people (yes, there were a few old men.) There weren't any cat fights, I didn't get hit on by a bunch of creeps and the servers and bartenders were attentive. That alone makes it a better bar than most in Ogden. Plus, I even enjoyed karaoke there SOBER!
