I was blown away by the amazing service and the freshness of the sushi. Everything we ordered (California, Spicy Tuna, Green Monster, Ogden, Stacker, Peppered Tuna w/greens) was so good. I will definitely be back.

stopped in on our way through town, starving and looking for somewhere close by. sushi was good, no "wow". we got in at a quiet time, so we practically had the place to ourselves, which meant the service was quick; friendly as well. wouldn't drive way out of my way to come here, but also wouldn't hesitate to come back if i'm in the area. that said, the sushi spots i actually trust are very few, but this is one of them. find it interesting that some reviewers mentioned it not being a good part of town, because it seemed fine to us, though i end up spending a lot of time in not so great areas back home, so maybe my view is a little skewed *shrug*

I went to Ohana with my wife for our anniversary, following the suggestion of a friend. We walked in and were immediately impressed with how classy the place is. It's a very attractive (albeit tiny) restaurant. We had to wait for a few minutes to be seated, but that's just to be expected seing as it seats maybe 20 people at max capacity. The staff was pretty helpful and friendly. Water came to the table whenever my cup started getting low. We got the evening's special, two sushi rolls and some edemame. Not the best sushi and edemame I've ever had, but much better than most places around. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. I'm interested to try some of their non-sushi fare. I'm thinking of trying their kadsu soon. We got dessert-- the nutella cheesecake-- and it was phenomenal.

Had a chicken lunch combo and it was very enjoyable but not amazing.

I LOVE this place. It is quiet and intimate. The downside is that it is also small. When they get busy it can take a bit to get in and get served. The upside is that everything I have ever had here is spectacular. I have eaten sushi in many places and states. This is as good or better than anyplace I have ever been. Highly recommend to even the most ardent sushi snob. The Asian fusion is wonderful too. My wife always orders something other than sushi and always loves it. BTW, don't listen to the reviews that talk about a "sketchy" part of town. Not sure they have ever been to the sketchy parts of Ogden, but this isn't one of them. Just a busy intersection.

Amazing amazing amazing. Just go! Found this nugget as we were passing through on our way to Bozeman, MT. Holy crap - this placed was good! We had the Avalanche, the snow blast or something like that and a few others. Just go... This place is freaking amazing!

Don't let the location fool you. Sugically clean interior. Always fresh, tasty fish. Don't miss the yakitori, and the staff is great. Always had great service.

Pleasantly surprised with this awesome little intimate restaurant in Ogden. The vegetable fried rice was agreed to be the best any of us have ever had. We enjoyed all the rolls we got, but the spicy tuna roll and the Ogden roll had pretty big chunks of fish instead of the delicate thin slices I'm used to. Overall 4.5 stars. Super tasty and will definitely come back.

Who knew that a strip mall sushi restaurant would be this good!? It's so good! You won't need to go anywhere else! Make reservations this place fills up fast! The presentation of the food is awesome! Don't judge this book by it's cover!

We love this place every time we go. Never a bad moment here. Service is amazing, food is delicious, music and atmosphere are perfect. Hoping they move some place bigger one day. Just a little bigger, though. The quaintness of it is part of the appeal. Highly recommend!

This place is my go to if I want sushi in O-town. I was skeptical when in popped up in the sketchy shop ko shopping area but after hearing good things I decided to just give it a try. Not only is the food great but the people that run it are awesome. I feel a lot of importance in supporting small businesses ran by GOOD people. I have visited another "popular" sushi place in Ogden where the owner was yelling and belittling the staff right in front of us. I was so appalled and disgusted. I will never give someone like that my $$. I seriously adore everything about ohana , from the people to the white chairs . The Ohana roll is my go to if you want a hint on food and this is the only place that I have had garlic edamame and HOLY Toledo that is by far the way to go! I have seriously gotten just that for lunch takeout .

Love this place for an intimate night out without the kiddos (read: not kid friendly). Sushi rolls are always top notch and service is very friendly and attentive. Restaurant is small, comfortable, modern and quiet. On a weekend dinner you may walk in just to walk out disappointed that it was full and you're too hungry to wait. Location has some parking issues as its shared strip mall with Little Cesar's and Baskin Robbins and things can get crowded and busy with lots of in/out traffic. I hope that Ohana can upgrade their location at some point- they deserve their own building like Windy's, but would need to keep the small quaint atmosphere. Its definitely in the regular rotation, but less often due to difficultly with kids. More like a date night or special occasion spot.

Really great food; not the best location. Took the family for their first taste of tempura since moving to Utah. We hesitated when we saw the location - this is NOT a great section of town! Decided to give it a try, just once, and we've been back twice in the two weeks since. LOVE the tempura, and the coconut shrimp is the best we've had anywhere. The Bento Boxes give a nice taste of several things, and the Singapore Noodles are to die for!!!! All of the soups are delicious, and the sushi is fresh & wonderful. It's become a favorite! Hope they move to a nicer neighborhood soon!

They gave really good service and are perfect for a date night. They have a really amazing ambience. Their food is really high quality. My mom really likes their shrimp and vegetable tempura.

Hmmmm, based on the other reviews I feel like I got shafted, I had very high expectations going in that may have contributed to my complete disappointment. The wife and I went for dinner, got there around 6:00, they were maybe half full. We were seated promptly then left sitting for a good 15 minutes before being acknowledged again finally got drink in food orders in then our food came out very slow, behind folks that came in after us and ordered after us. The food was blah and overpriced, I got Tonkatsu the wife had Pad Thai. The wife ranked their Pad Thai as one of the worst she has ever had, my Tonkatsu was two sauce-less breaded veal patties with white rice and a dipping sauce on the side. The first couple of bites of veal was OK then they cooled off and and got very dry, the sauce was interesting but not something I would seek again. The best thing we had was the Gyoza, flavorful with a good dipping sauce that came in handy to add flavor to my rice and dry veal. So in summary slow service, high prices and blah food, two stars is generous.

I went here for my birthday and I was very impressed. Our waitress was upbeat and helpful, and very friendly! The food was nothing short of spectacular. My family and I split some Vegas, Tiger, California, and Ogden rolls, all of which were excellent. We also had sashimi and hot and sour soup. Everything was delicious and fresh! The atmosphere was lovely and quiet. Our chairs and tables were comfortable and the lighting and music was absolutely perfect. I will definitely be returning to Ohana very soon!

Waited too long for service and walked out . Servers are working on paper work at the counter while customers wait and food sits on the counter waiting to be delivered

They have okay sushi and decent service. The price is more expensive than it should be considering the quality of the sushi and the amount you get.

The waitress was super friendly to my kids- which is a biggie for me. My kids are really well behaved in restaurants and I appreciate it when waitstaff treat them with respect, instead of the "ugh, kids" reaction you sometimes get. The decor is kinda "fancy" and the tables rather close. It wasnt a super busy night but still felt a little crowded. Husband ordered the sushi boat and had no complaints. Our Tempura was maybe heavy handed and kinda greasy - but the veggie selection was good. My children shared the sweet and sour pork- it was fresh but the chunks were huge, they had to be cut into fourths just to be a regular bite size, even for my husband and I. Kinda strange. Thick coating too, but the sauce was yummy. My caterpillar roll, and spicy tuna roll, were lovely. The rolls are well decorated and even came with cute radish flowers my daughter ate. I wish I could say they were super delicious but they were just OK. All in all, everyone left full- but If I am choosing to go out for a sushi dinner - Ohana wont be at the top of the list. It's in no way BAD, but its not the best option around, especially when the prices are comparable to (in my opinion) superior sushi restaurants in town. My suggestion to Ohana would be to maybe remove just one table so its not so squished in there... worry less about presentation and more about flavor... and cut down the size of the "bites" of food... such a bugger to try and cut food into bite size bites with chopsticks, and once our food was served we didnt see our waitress again until the bill was brought over.

They were good all the way through! Had some different rolls to get my cravings like avocado and salmon. They hit it right on point.

Four stars for how cool it is to find this in OTOWN! I love sushi and this place was great! Don't be fooled by the location! When you walk in it is very nice. It is small so make reservations if you have a big party! Decent prices and tasty rolls! Great seaweed salad ! Only improvement is they seemed to be short staffed because the 3 rolls we ordered took a while to come to the table. This is probably going to be my new local spot. I like it better than Tona because it's a little more intimate and quiet for a date night.

Good food, great lunch prices. Both Chinese and Japanese food so good variety. Fresh fish for sashimi and sushi.

Best sushi north of Salt Lake City. The Ogden roll was amazing! General Tao's chicken was the freshest I've ever experienced. The service was phenomenal as well. They boxed up our left-overs! That's how you know it's good :) The sushi chef will even make you something not on the menu if you ask. Well definitely be back. Oh, they also have swanky-nice white chairs as well.

This is NOT good sushi. First: Sushi refers to the rice. The rice here was sub-par, at best. That's a big component of making Nigiri and rolls, what they are. If you can't properly season your rice, you can't properly make sushi. This was the case here. Second: Way too sweet. I guess for the typical American palate, this is an ideal thing. However, for people that want to taste the subtle flavors of the rice, fish, and seaweed, you will be sorely disappointed. My nigiri hand roll shot so much sweet sauce in my mouth that I almost threw up. Third: Service was awful. They are very small and slow. That's to be expected on the Friday night I went, but the waitstaff that night were just plain slow. I almost asked our server if she knew that her performance is directly proportional to her pay. Fourth: Tea, not hard. They took forever to make it and bring it to me and the fancy, iron pot they served it in, flavored my tea like metal. I couldn't drink it. Well, overall my experience was less than pleasant. Sure, the rolls are pretty and the fish is fresh, but it is far from authentic and good. It is also on the expensive side, in my opinion. I don't mind paying more money for good sushi, but this wasn't close. Tona is better and cost the same. Hanamaru is probably the best and cost the same. This place is no better than Windy's sukiyak and that's sad. FYI: My step-mom is Japanese and I grew up in a house eating Grandmas sushi, Katsudon, sukiyaki, etc... So, I know a thing or two about real Japanese food.

Went there with girls from work. the food was excellent and its a darling little place. my only suggestion is to have more than 2girls serving, they seemed overwhelmed running around busing tables and serving food and checking people in and out at the register!

I love the sushi here. The owners and wait staff are friendly and very good at customer service. The location is in a strip mall but they have done a great job with the lighting and decor so you don't feel the strip mall aura at all. I would go with sushi or Korean as I think this is the ethnic origins of the owners/chefs. The menu is diverse with Thai and other Asian dishes but the Thai isn't as good as the sushi. All in all I'll take this over Tona, which has become way too trendy and popular for me.

Best sushi in town! Fresh tasting, nice small atmosphere, and an ok staff! A few of the ladies that have served me over the months could have been a bit nicer and known a bit more but they were still adequate. One thing that really bugs is that they don't have a soda fountain only canned sodas. I don't understand why this is. But like I said, best sushi In ogden.

Husband and I have been on a sushi kick lately, and decided to go here to try out a new place. The atmosphere in the little strip mall joint is surprisingly more classy than the outside would convey. The plush, white leather chairs were very inviting and comfortable. I ordered the Ogden roll, which was alright. Wasn't too amazing, but wasn't horrible either. Good amount of rice. My husband ordered a bento box, which was also decent, but the teriyaki sauce they use is sooo sweet. I found it to be almost inedible, but he ate it anyways. Overall, this place is just OK for me. There are definitely worse places in Ogden, but there are also places that are better. Middle of the pack, for sure.

Food is legit. Being from LA I've seen what top notch Japanese food is. This was as good as anything I've ever had.

My hubby and I LOVE Ohana Sushi! Every sushi roll we have tried here is wonderful, the ambiance is great (I love the luxurious white chairs), the service is top notch! The restaurant is owned/run by this cute husband and wife team...Gary and Anna (woohoo, support small business!). Gary is the sushi chef, and Anna takes awesome care of all the patrons. The sushi roll that I was the most surprised with was the Mango Paradise Roll. I've never had dessert sushi before, and these were delightful! Get out of your comfort box and try one of these sweet surprises...you won't regret it!

It might seem weird that I am writing a review for a sushi restaurant as I do not eat or enjoy fish, I do however have to dine with the rest of society most of which happen to love sushi. Don't let the strip mall location fool you this is a great little restaurant with great ambiance! I walked in the first time cut off jean shorts & tank top and all oops.., but they were still very nice to me although I was clearly under dressed. I had the beef bento box it was very reasonably priced I think like $13 it tasted like candied beef it was soo good. It also came with steamed rice, salad, and a California roll. They also have some Thai choices on the menu and the second time I went I enjoyed the green curry, it a huge serving and was very good also. My friends and husband who all love sushi loved their fishy entrees too. This is a great family owned place so get off 25th street and give it a try, you can thank me later.

Hands down...one of the best local sushi places!!! The location may throw you off a bit...it's located in a strip mall next to a tanning salon and smoke shop I believe. The owners are beyond kind and caring. They are both working hard in the restaurant and are eager to say hello and ask how the service/food was. It is a small, intimate location so sometimes you may have to wait but I promise it is worth it!! All of the rolls are amazing...my favorite is the Ohana roll. Not only is it gorgeous, but it's also delicious! If you're not into sushi the other food they servce is also delicious...I believe my son ate the chicken plate with noodles. At first glance you'd probably drive right by Ohana...if you do, turn around!!!

This is the best sushi place in town. I have never been disappointed by the service, or the food. As a fellow server (I've only worked in fine dining) this is the "superior" sushi restaurant I have come across in Ogden. It's always fresh, made the way you want it...no seeds, sauce on the side, extra sauce...whatever you wish. They accommodate if it is reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant if you love sushi and service with a smile!

Amazing sushi! I loved Ohana. Not only was the food great, the presentation of the sushi was incredible. If you're looking for the best sushi in Utah, visit Ohana.

The sushi is very good here! We ordered salmon sashimi, which tasted very fresh and came with a tasty little salad, and we had the Green Monster, which was shrimp tempura sushi covered in creamy avocado slices. As an out of towner, I felt very welcome at Ohana, thanks to the very pleasant owner and the beautiful dishes made by her husband, the sushi chef. I would definitely go back if I was staying longer in Ogden!

Best overall experience for sushi in Ogden. The service is great and the sushi is always fresh. I do wish they offered "special" rolls because their menu is on the smaller side.

My fiance received a gift card for his b-day and I couldn't wait to use it...so today I went and got the chicken lettuce wraps and the gyoza. OH MY absolutely delicious! We are going out tomorrow night for the "real thing" can't wait to try the sushi rolls and other menu items! And it's open Mondays which is wonderful for a sushi joint in Ogden :)
