We were searching for a diner to remind us of home after recently moving to Utah... Nailed it with No Frills Diner. Great atmosphere, friendly and hard working servers, absolutely delicious food with portions that don't quit. Their pancakes are made with pure love poured in the mixture. NFD patrons for life. From my family of foodies to yours- get down to No Frills Diner with an appetite and a light heart. Solid 5 stars hands down.

Worst service and worst food ever. We decided to check this place out hoping it would be a nice diner to replace the one we moved across town from. Well huge fail on that. We went in at about 10 AM on a Sunday and it wasn't hardly busy at all. We ordered coffee and water, both of which we had to stop another waitress (not ours) to get refilled. That was just the start. Our waitress took our order, my husband got biscuits with sausage gravy (if you can call it that, he had maybe 5 square chunks of "sausage") and I ordered a chicken fried steak breakfast with sausage gravy as well. Ok so first of all our food was brought to us lukewarm, cool enough that I could instantly feed it to my two year old without worry and definitely not warm enough for us to eat (I'm pretty sure our waitress forgot about it and us). The portion sizes on both our meals was tiny, I normally have to get a box to take food home but I was able to clear my plate and still be hungry. The biscuits and gravy had no flavor at all, the sausage was flavorless (a packet of gravy would have tasted better). The chicken fried steak was horrible. Literally horrible, I think it was just a "steak" of hamburger instead of a cube steak. It was thick, chewy and the breading had no flavor at all. No seasoning no nothing. After we had cleared our plates we sat and clearly waited for our check for about 10-15 minutes while our waitress gossiped with the table of people that she obviously knew, and then finally got her attention when we went up to the cash register. We paid $25 for this food. I will NEVER recommend this place nor ever set foot inside ever again. Come on a breakfast place that can't even do the basics of water/coffee refill, come on. We will definitely be making the 15 minute drive to our old diner to get our moneys worth.

Great food, the service wasn't my favorite. Not very attentive or friendly but I got my food and it was tasty! Had the stuffed French toast and a side of bacon. The name says it all, there's nothing fancy about it but who cares?

The food here ranges from average to simply terrible. They have the typical mainstays of a diner such as bacon and eggs, omelettes, burgers, etc. I was adventurous and tried the Chile Verde. Huge mistake. This was one of the single worst bowls of yuck I have ever ordered. It was a bowl of some thick, gooey substance without a single chunk of pork. If you took an over-cooked bowl of oatmeal, strained the oats out, gave it a greenish/grey color and a trace of pork flavoring, you would have their "Chili Verde".To top that off, it was served luke-warm. Nasty and disgusting are the printable words that come to mind. The service was poor as well. We ordered pancakes and scrambled eggs for our boys from the children's menu. It takes 45 minutes to make child's portions of pancakes and scrambled eggs? The waitress kept apologizing for the wait, and then brought out the adult's food before the children's . What planet do you come from? I got my bowl of grossness after about 30 minutes. The boys had to wait another 15 on top of that. Try having a couple of hungry kids wait nearly an hour for breakfast and serve others at the table before them. There was no way I could give them any of my revolting breakfast, not even as a joke. That would have been too mean spirited. The pancakes and scrambled eggs when they finally arrived were fine. My assumption is the "Cook" had never made scrambled eggs or pancakes before and was experimenting through trial and error in the kitchen for 45 minutes until he finally stumbled on how to make them. They should have been embarrassed to hand me a check. Lousy food and lousy service. It has become a family joke whenever I ask the kids where they want to go out to eat, the reply is "Anywhere but No-Frills diner!"

THE place for breakfast food in Ogden. We've been going here for over 4 years and are rarely disappointed. When they have it, the seasonal special of fruit and creme waffles are to die for and will leave you very full. Burgers and onions rings are great. The staff are always friendly and although it takes a while for the food, it is definitely worth the wait.

I hate that i have to give this place 3 stars, only because of the service. I absolutely LOVE the food but i hate the service. .. it usually takes about 30 minutes before were even given menus or a drink and after we finally get our food we never see our waiter again, ever one else's waiter gives them their check at their table, but we've always had to walk up to the counter to get ours.... so i stopped tipping. ..

This is the place of you like home style food, the cook is amazing and the food is to die for. The service is quick and the waiters are very friendly, try the south west hashbrowns or the peach waffles. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

I went in and had the bacon wrapped beef tips. When I say amazing, it was an understatement! These little bites of bliss were epic. They came with a heaping load of delicious homemade mashed potatoes which were the perfect addition! The waiter and even the cook were friendly as always and my service was speedy!

We have been to this restaurant a few times, and every time we come it is excellent. I am a creature of habit and get the 10oz Chicken Fried Steak breakfast, and I get my hasbrowns with the added cheese, peppers, meats. Service is usually pretty good, but expect a long wait for your food to come out. They cook it as they get the order and it does take a long time, avg time so far has been at least 1.5 hours from sit down until leave. I haven't tried the lunch yet, I was real close the last time, but I love their Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast. They give you a lot of food! They also have 2 challenges. One breakfast challenge for a huge omelet and a lunch challenge for a huge burger. You don't win the food for free but if you eat all the food in 20 min or less you get a shirt. They also sell craft items inside, they usually have some pretty cool things.

Food was Awesome, hash Browns were the best I've had in a long time and the server Donnie is the man! Will come back for sure. Coffee stayed full and hot and I was stuffed when we left. Happy our friends recommend this little spot to us.

This place was great, it was a quick seat but a long wait for food. The waitress was great and I had the bacon wrapped sirloin which was Ama-za-zing!!

Delicious! Pancakes are huge and fluffy, the hash browns are crispy and not overly greasy. Eggs over easy were cooked perfectly. Portions are big and the orange juice was served in a frosty mug. It took a little while to get the food but it was tasty and the staff were all very nice.

This place was awesome! Stopped on the way back from powder mountain to the airport! I can say that the pancakes are amazing, SERIOUSLY GREAT Texture and taste. country fried steak was made to order not a frozen patty! French toast filled the air with cinnamon and nutmeg! Biscuits and gravy, were buttery fresh and good gravy" to make it even better order the hash browns well done! The sausage pattys are good and the iced tea is crisp and clear, excellent! Get some salsa to go or put it on your eggs I say everyone has to get in here! And the service is polite and timely" DDD! Worthy!

The food here is pretty amazing. Best onion rings ever. Sometimes the service is lacking. If it is busy at all they collapse under pressure. All in all, I will most likely continue to eat here.

It had been awhile since we had been to the No Frills so we went there on a Sunday morning after the swap meet because I heard they had chile verde (I have to try all chile verde). I got the chilie verde special of course and to my surprise the verde was really good, great flavor, big chunks of meat, etc. Why was I surprised because non-Mexican restaurants usually don't stack up when it comes to verde, but the No Frills was tasty. Service was good, the wifes breakfast was good, we will probably come back for some more verde breakfast treats.

This place is just as the title suggests. Its a no frills kind of place. The food is good, and the waitstaff is friendly. In addition, they give you a bang for your buck. I ordered the one of their burgers which had some pulled pork on it and onion rings and it was HUGE. I tried the best I could and hardly put a dent in the thing. We also used a deal from restaurant.com which helped with the bill. Overall this plays is good for the price.

Yum. The name says it all. This isn't a fancy place, but the food was very tasty. The decor is definitely no frills, but the food comes with them all.

From the outside the building stands up to it's namesake. However, once inside you are greeted with a friendly hello, vintage Coca Cola decor, and probably the cleanest local diner I have ever been in. We had the blueberry pancakes. Large, juicy, fresh berries! Yum! The green Chili Verde? Awesome! The milk and juice is served in frozen glass mugs keeping the drink cold all through the meal. Portions are huge. Scones the size of your head. It does take a bit of extra time to get the food, but I believe that is do to the scratch made food. Our new go to breakfast spot. Also, burgers, rings, and shakes. Other diner fare as well. Just give this little gem a shot!
