Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

We ordered take out and I loved the pizza. For some reason our kids hated it but for me I could eat this everyday. I love the carnivore. The meats are good quality, just the right amount of sauce, and I love the thin crust. My wife ordered a combo I think and she loved it. We split a third piece but I'm not sure the name of it but it was pretty good. The breadsticks are so good here. Nice and soft. The slices are huge so you are getting a good deal. Try this place out you will like the pizza.

I'm giving this place 4 stars thus far... I've been in Ogden alot this last little bit doing some consulting and Lucky Slice has been very consistent. The crust was solid for a thin crisp sliced pie. The sauce is the only thing that I'll complain about and that's just because it'd be nice to have a smidgen more. But for SLC locals it's very comparable to the pie hole. There are daily choices/specials plus standard selections and all are on point for the style of pizza they offer. The staff is great here, the service is fast and they have an ok beer selection. The patio is nice and accommodating with it's surprising size. If you find yourself on 25th street pay them a visit.

Feeble. Ordered a carnivore and Thai slaw for delivery took over an hour to get here (3.5 mi away) Bacon was raw. Just threw the salad away, I was afraid I might see something I couldn't unsee.

I came to lucky slice last week and had the best macaroni pizza. I came back today and sadly the macaroni pizza is no more :( please bring back the macaroni pizza!! The cheese pizza is very good. My friend Logan would recommend it to you and so would I.

They serve a variety of pizzas and breadsticks, including daily specials. The pizza is thin crust and the slices are huge! I tried the Margherita and Cheese. The Margherita had balsamic reduction which added a lot of flavor. Service was fast and the restaurant has a nice, relaxed atmosphere also with patio and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is comparable to the Pie in Salt Lake City. Will definitely go back the next time I'm in Ogden!

We found ourselves on the popular 25th Street in Ogden. The place was great for some late night slices of life. Seating indoor was somewhat limited though, bad for wintertime. I got the Dub All Star, it seems like they just heat up the slices on the display window at first, but they arrived with a nice thin crust pizza and it had good mix of sweet flavor too. We also had their chipotle garlic wings as well, flavors were ok, and the chipotle taste was not very spicy. If you hang out in this area late at night, Lucky Slice Pizza seems to ideal place for pizza. Logistic is the only problem for me being up at Ogden.

This place is fantastic! I called in a delivery order. The guy on the phone said they don't normally deliver to my hotel, but they would this time since it's my first time in Utah. The delivery was fast and the guy who drove it over was very friendly. We ordered mozz balls, bruschetta, and wings. I didn't eat the wings because I don't eat meat but they looked good. I really like how the bruschetta is huge! It's the size of a pizza crust, just missing cheese and sauce!

We came to Lucky Slice on a Friday and it was bustling. We were lucky to get a table! My expectations were pretty high, given the crowd and the hip atmosphere. Reality didn't live up to my high hopes, however, and I might avoid this restaurant on future visits to Ogden. I love places that serve pizza by the slice. The slices at Lucky Slice are on display for you to check out while you wait in line. They looked pretty good, and my friend and I ordered two slices of margherita, one pepperoni, and one bianca (white sauce, ricotta, mozzarella). After ordering, we found a table and waited as our pizza was prepared. After a few minutes, a waitress(?) emerged from the back, screaming my name at a hundred decibels. It wasn't really clear whether at this point I should walk to the front, where she was standing, and collect the pizza myself, or simply wait for her to bring it to my table. Other patrons were employing both tactics, and her look of irritation stayed firmly in place either way. We got our margherita slices first, and they were very nearly cold. In addition to being cold, they were not good. Bland, except for a splash of balsamic, right down to the bone dry crust. The pepperoni and bianca slices followed suit, though they were at least warm to the touch. The one bright spot in our meal was the enormous Rice Crispy treat that I purchased impulsively at the register. It was the size of a brick and tasted just like Mom makes. In the future, when purchasing pizza in Ogden, I probably won't stray far from Slackwater. However, the hours and location of Lucky Slice make it a convenient stop for bar hoppers looking to get a jump on their hangovers before heading home.

I am in town on my way to visit family in Oregon. We've been on the road for 17 hours. My sister and all 3 of our very tired kids just wanted to have a nice meal and get to bed early. I ordered 2 pizzas and a salad to be delivered. The delivery guy showed up the first time without the salad. I asked him to bring my whole order before I would pay for it. I called and spoke with the manager, he said they would remake my order and send it all to me. The delivery guy showed up 15 minutes later with the now cold pizza and only 1 of the 2 dressings I requested. I figured cold pizza was better than nothing, so we started eating and when I was almost done with my first piece I took a bite and felt a strand of hair (baked into the pizza) in between my teeth. We'll be back in town next week on our way back through and I will certainly not be ordering from these guys. I paid good money for pizza that we can't even eat. I can't seem to post a pic of the hairy pizza, but I did on their Facebook page earlier this evening.

I travel for work a lot and one of my favorite things is to check out local pizza places and what a surprise in a town about 45 minuets outside of Salt Lake City. Great pizza and great location. Staff is friendly and did i mention the pizza is phenomenal!!

This place is amazing, original and authentic. Just need oregano for the NY touch. Glad to see a Layton location!

was here on 8/14/2014 I had the carnivore and a slice of pepperoni, the carnivore was a large slice w/ pepp, sausage, bacon & ham the bacon was fresh, cooked perfectly NOT to crispy (like baco's) same with the ham, and was like a quarter slice of a large pizza. If you want a excellent slice of thin crust pizza this is one of the better (best) places to get one from, only been here once, but by how quickly they filled up for lunch they must be doing something right, and in my opinion they are..!! I have had thin and thick crust pizza from MI to UT and I am one that searches out pizza even it is 20 miles out of my way, and this is probably in my top 10. They do a good job and are very courteous... Would recommend this place to anyone....

Wow. According to my phone. This is the closest pizza delivery. Girl on phone tonight had no idea where RV park was and we are 2 miles away. She refused to get me someone who knew if they delivered here at al. She gave me where they deliver to, and I said, we don't live here, can you ask a manager if they deliver here to Century RV park??, she said NO, so I hung up. Geez. There goes $$$$$$ out the window. Educate employees where YOU do deliver. I told her were were only 2 miles away. Horrible phone conversation.

The person who took my order over the phone was good at their job-they listened and asked all the right questions. They told me the time when it would be done so I timed my drive-15-20 min drive from Layton, but once I received my box of Blue Moon pizza, realized it was cold and so bland. For what the box of pizza was worth, it sure didn't taste like it should've cost that much. I had heard such great reviews about this place and its pizzas, but I was surely disappointed. I'm guessing they finished making my pizza way earlier than I was told so maybe that's why it was cold and ehh. I'll give this place another chance if I'm ever close to the area.

Nom! Always delicious, always friendly. I love their pizza and their service. Definitely the epitome of the hole in the wall local pizza joint. Well worth repeated visits!

    (4)
  • Jaimie P.

I love that the pizza is thin crust. The slices are huge and you can never go wrong with the dubb all star. They also have daily slice specials for $3.5

    (5)
  • Nick W.

Slice was good but for having so many ingredients it lacked flavor, salt maybe? Might try again if ever in the area but it probably won't be my first choice with so many other dining options on 25th street.

We love eating at lucky slice. Everything we've tried is excellent. Friendly staff & great food, you cannot got wrong! If your looking for pizza, this place is a must.

  • D. W.

Divey, funky little hipster sort of hole-in-the-wall place, probably best to get your food and hit the road here as dining in seems largely an afterthought and the space looks none too comfortable, especially if someone happens to be at the the video game console inexplicably set smack dab in the middle of everything. It actually seems like it has more outside seating than inside, which is sort of curious, I guess, but since I didn't see any wait staff, not sure how well that would work, either. This entire place is heavily reminiscent of Burt's Tiki Lounge, to give you an idea...if you're familiar with that place. Anyway, I grabbed a couple slices to go and hit the bricks again. I'm going to definitely need to heavily revise my standby lists, I think and remove most of the sit-down places in favor of one I can fully finish in half an hour or less...there's quite a few and it just never seems to be in the cards. That aside, the thing most striking about this is that they've nailed the foldable crust, ala New York style. That aspect of this crust is the best I've seen outside of NYC. The taste, though, is nowhere near and the flavors are actually rather minimal overall. Like Haley, I'm not sure I'll be returning as I was not in love with their borderline underdone bacon on the Carnivore (it wasn't quite rare, but I don't like bacon fat to be that squishy) and the Marguerite I had hit exactly the same problems as did Haley's. It did respectably as something I could just grab pizza and go, but the only other comparison I can think of, Slices in Salt Lake (also reviewed by yours truly) is worlds better pizza than this. So, useful as a spot to hit lunch on the go, only if in the area, and not so much otherwise...in terms of flavor and quality of pizza in Ogden, The Pie is still untouchable and Slackwater is very much a distant second, but a second nonetheless.

  • josh p.

Their pizza is a crunchy thin crust, but each slice is literally the size of most places 2 large pizza slices. You can order a full pizza, but theirs soooo much variety and they always have some great stuff available by the slice. I hear their wings are good too, but I always get the pizza. 2 slices of specialty pizza and a drink for $8 is a serious meal.

  • Mark C.

Great service, New Yawk style pie. Friendly and eager . The pizza itself crust fantastic, personally I like somewhat alittle more cheese. I like a tad greasy. Washed it down with a birch beer. I'll be back being here for a week

  • Emily S.

This place is great! They usually have a few basic pizzas that show up everyday but the reason I go is for the other pizzas. Every time I've been in they have several specials that are fantastic. The best special I had was on St. Patrick's day and it had corn beef and cabbage on it! Another fun part is their vintage arcade machines.

  • Alicia R.

This place is very...ok. I like it for approximately 3 reasons. 1. It's close by my work, and I can get food in a pinch quickly. 2. Very inexpensive, a slice of pepperoni is 2.50, and a specialty slice is 3.75. You can fill up on a single slice, but I love to overeat, so typically it's two for me. 3. The staff is super rad. I enjoy their company, and ordering is fast. What I don't like? The pizza itself is eh. A lot of times, if you order individual slices, they come out lukewarm, and I'm not really a ultra-thin crust pizza fan. (Power to you if you are, this is purely my preference) They also took away my favorite slice (RIP, Blue Moon) But in all, if I need a place to snag food with friends, I know I will always go back here at all hours of the day. It's definitely a small town local pizza joint for sure.

First let me say that I am not a big pizza fan so I have only tried a few of their pizzas. The potato pesto wasn't impressive, but their FIRE ISLAND made me a huge fan of this place!! The other pizzas I've tried have been good, but nothing that I crave. However, what I love about this place is their wings and their salad!!! They are the best!!! It's rare to get a good, fresh salad and above-par wings at a quick pizza joint, but this place doesn't disappoint in that aspect.

I've been here quite a few times, those lonely Saturday nights (or Sunday early mornings at 1:30am), on my days off, with friends, with coworkers. I just haven't had time to review.. Let me just clarify, THIS IS THE BEST DARN PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD! My reasons for such, let's dissect this like I do some things in class, the ideal specimen: the margherita. The crust: The CRUST! I have no clue if it's the yeast they use, the flour, the water or simply just because it's so thin I don't know and when you think it about it, heck why does it matter that crust will change your life! It's tender, chewy, fluffy, crunchy, and a bit yeasty. A complex contradiction. The toppings: The marinara that is used on this specimen is minimal. It's really tasty with the smells of oregano, basil, acidic tomatoes and just a bit garlicy, but they know modesty. The cheese is perfectly leveled and not overpowering at all. The finishing drizzle of balsamic. Oh I wanna cry. The crust, marinara, balsamic and cheese set the stage for the real stars. Who might the real stars be you say? THE REAL TOMATOES AND BASIL THEY USE! The tomatoes are cut into perfect size where the heat will penetrate them enough to get the sugars flowing, not into giant slabs where the tomatoes won't even warm, but not small enough where the heat will turn them into sauce. Then the basil. That basil is fresh, aromatic and not either mediocre nor overpowering. The perfect balance. I am biased and every time I eat any other margherita pizza anywhere, I compare it to Lucky's. And none has hit that perfect 10 note that this one delivers. I have had other pizzas from Lucky's but if something works, why replace it? I LOVE the fact they have Boylans, and local drinks, the atmosphere is wonderful, all their workers are rad.. Now lemme tell you some cons.. Their beer selection, for being a pizza pub is pretty mediocre. A wings spot down the road has a wider selection. I had their draft Sum R Ale and full suspension pale ale, they were good but their beer menu could vastly increase knowing that their rival down Washington has an 8 page beer menu that even has CHIMAY! Expand the beers, and just wish they had more seating inside! Other than that let me finish with these words.. Lemme tell ya, I'll eat this pizza on the curb. It is that GOOD!

  • Tiffany B.

The pizza is great the customer service is a little on the sloppy side ...The person who took our order didn't even let us know that our pizza was warming up they have a showcase set up with the pizzas inside of it so you're thinking they're just going to grab your pizza and then handed over to you but instead you stand around like an idiot waiting for your pizza I feel like the staff isn't as friendly as they should be!

Hanging out at the Tour of Utah and dropped in for a quick bite. We NEVER miss an opportunity to eat here. Best pizza in Ogden. Great, hip atmosphere. Buy it by the slice or the whole pie- whatever suits you best. GREAT PIZZA!

Crispy, crispy thin crust and decent flavor. I got pepperoni and didn't share with the Asian collective. Dishonor to my family, but bonus to the tastebuds. Nice staff, great outdoor seating.

We came here when they first opened and our pizzas were burned on the bottom and underdone on top. I didn't review on YELP cuz they were new. Then recently my daughter told me she goes there once or twice a month because they have a great atmosphere and pretty good pizza. So we tried it again. Their glutton free pizza was so under cooked it was inedible. Gag Their traditional crust pizza was sparsely topped. Their wings are the tiniest wings I think I've ever had. They might have been Cornish Game wings??? The place was packed with teenagers, however. They must offer something for that crowd.

Lucky Slice is really good pizza. It doesn't need a flowery explanation. If you like good pizza, you'll like Lucky Slice. To fill the rest of the space, I'll hand it off to President Bill Pullman, who, when our planet was invaded by extraterrestrials united the globe with his immortal words: "Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in this history of mankind. Mankind -- that word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps its fate that today is the 4th of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution -- but from annihilation. We're fighting for our right to live, to exist. And should we win the day, the 4th of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice: 'We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive!" Today, we celebrate our Independence Day!'"

In a previous review I said the breadsticks were bad. But I've been back many times now, and I think my first breadstick just happened on a bad day. Lucky Slice is consistently good. The Thai Pizza (only available by the slice on Tuesdays) is a favorite. Salads are excellent.

I think this is a pretty cool place It's one of those types pizza joints where the base of your pizza is pre-made and then you can choose toppings and then they recook the slice. It's reasonably priced and at GREAT location open late. Really cool place to go after bar hopping late at night.

After a night out in downtown ogden and you've got the drunk munchies there's only one place to go...lucky slice! The pizza here is on point! Some of the best in the state in my opinion and im m not just saying it because I'm a little buzzed. I love how the slices are huge and the crust is thin. Even though the wait can be a little long it's definatley worth your money going here. Especially for a late night pizza fix a much better alternative than hitting up Dennys to sober up. I usually go for the dub all star pizza which has an amazing pesto sauce or get a regular pepperoni slice. I've tried the wings here before as well and they weren't too bad. I'd stick with pizza though since that's what their known for. I will be comming back that's for sure.

Stopped in for a quick slice for a late lunch. Folks at the counter were very friendly and helpful, they had 4-5 pizzas on display a couple white sauced options and a couple few red. They have basic versions of each that they will add toppings to for a custom pizza, I opted tor a red sauced pizza with chicken and ham. It took them a few minutes to add the topics and heat my slice then they brought it out. It was a good size slice with a reasonable amount of toppings. The crust was thin and crispy with a very good flavor. All and all a very good slice of pizza, pair it with a beer and you have a tasty meal at a reasonable price.

Pizza by the slice! This is a great spot for New York style pizza. Along with their pizza, they also have great wings. One of the many great spots in Ogden!

  • Marc Z.

Being born and raised from Chicago, I take my pizza very seriously. This is your run of the mil New York style pizza. I gave this place 4 stars because you are not going to find hardly any good pizza places in the state of Utah. I went with the basic cheese pizza at first. If you can't do a cheese pizza right, than you are doing something wrong as a business. Don't get me wrong, it was very tasty but compared to the spots I am use to back home, this isn't much to brag about. The specialty pizza's is what sets this place apart from the rest. However, I've always been a firm believer on less is more and if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Pizza = 3 stars Service and environment = 4 1/2

Great pizza with a nice thin crispy crust. Love the pepperoni and the carnivore. I like that they have some good beers to chose from. Plus they have an old school TMNT arcade to occupy the kidos.

  • Bianca T.

My favorites: The Bleu Moon, Bianca, Carnivore, Margherita and even the basic pepperoni is fantastic. Great flavors, great crust. We always enjoy going there when we are in Ogden. We love ordering by the slice so we can experience different flavors and share. On warmer days we like sitting in their patio area with our kids. Overall great experiences each time we go. We will be forever customers!

I wasn't expecting an upscale pizza joint but after all the reviews I read, I guess my expectations were still too high. It's a bit divvy - like they wanted hipster + bar + pizza place with a tad bit of post-modern thrown in, but what it looks like is pizza kitchen meets poor college student. The food was ok - I'd say average at best. The slice was HUGE and the crust was good but the carnivore and CBR (Chicken, bacon, ranch) weren't anything special as far as toppings and flavor are concerned. The breadsticks (also huge), were good - very fresh, but had WAY too much oregano and not nearly enough butter. At the end of the day, they tasted like bread and that's about it. I got the breadsticks with ranch dressing - if you like hidden valley ranch, then you'll like it but I prefer my ranch thicker and creamier and without so much vinegar. They should take a lesson from Utah's own Coyote Ranch - that stuff is delicious!!! Maybe I didn't have the best kind of slice or maybe it was an off day but I doubt I'll go back to find out. I'm not a pizza snob - I can enjoy Pizza Hut and Dominos with the best of them but this just wasn't as great as everyone made it out to be.

Their service is great, the atmosphere is great, the pizza is really, REALLY great. I was surprised to find out how tasty the Potato Pesto pie was. I thought I'd try something new and was rewarded hugely. The price is reasonable, and the beers they have available are from local microbrews. There was also a Ninja Turtles arcade game there that rewards you with a free slice if you beat the high score. Thought that was hilarious and a really cool offer. Was not disappointed in any way. Treated my brother from out of town to it, and we were all very happy.

Luck slice is a great place to stop by for a piece of pizza while out at the bars. The pizza has great flavor and the slices are huge but they have very thin crusts. It's a great place to hang out or just grab it to go. They are reasonably priced for their size.

Had them deliver to the Holiday Inn Express on our way through town. Ordered a Margherita and a Pepperoni, both were excellent. Crusts were thin and charred perfectly. Sauce on Margherita was a bit sweet, but great flavors. Would definitely order again.

  • Marcus H.

The people working there--first and foremost--are awesome. The chick taking the order on the phone and the guy who delivered the pizza were both really friendly and really helpful. The pizza was huge and the pepperoni was pretty good. However, I have to say that neither the crust nor the sauce added much flavor, so that was a little disappointing. The salad, on the other hand seemed really fresh and was pretty flavorful. I'd definitely get that again.

ordered from here for the first time tonight..we ordered a large pepperoni & mushroom pizza and a large buffalo wing. they quoted me hour an they were on time..the pizza was huge!...20" pie..problem was the toppings barely covered it...barely any mushrooms....the sauce for the wings was good but the wings were under cooked..red in the middle..we asked for bleu cheese and ranch with the wings..neither was great..tasted like it was out of a jar..which was ok except that it tasted like cheap product out of a jar...I liked the thin crust and the sauce was good....$26..for the pizza plus a $3 tip for the delivery driver..don't think that I would order from them again..There are other options out there that are the same price but a better product

Great food here! Amazing unique pizzas for healthy folks. Small dining area so not good for groups yet just get delivery and have it brought to you! Worth the money for some great pizza!

I really enjoy going to Lucky Slice. I've had good times with friends, and love grabbing a slice and playing some Ninja Turtles. The pizza's pretty tasty-- a nice change of pace from the usual thicker-crust fare other places offer. It is definitely pretty greasy, and they go lighter on toppings than what I typically want. It's pretty good in price when you buy a slice or two, especially if you get the slice of the day, definitely makes for a decent quick lunch. If you buy a whole pie, however, you're looking to shell out a lot more than I want to spend on a pizza. I've tried the wings, which were okay but nothing to get excited about. So, fun hangout atmosphere, especially if it's nice enough to go to the outside seating, but really small if you're just confined inside (their Layton location is much more spacious if that's important). I will note that I have a food allergy to MSG, and I have had issues after eating here on a couple of occassions, if that's a factor for you.

  • Manda P.

I hate to say this, but I really felt that the pizza and breadsticks were subpar. The location is perfect, the atmosphere is inviting and the employees are really cool, but there is definitely better pizza around. But, if you're looking for a fun place to hang out for a without having to spend a ton of money, this is a good place.

This is what a good pie is supposed to be like. Nice New York style thin crust great toppings great service good delivery radius. Only place I know within 40 miles you can get anything close.

There's no doubt that if I'm ever in the market for pizza, you'll find me at Slackwater - but Lucky Slice is a good bet if you're wandering 25th street or, if you're like my friend, you need a gluten free pizza hit. The gluten free only comes as a whole pizza and is more expensive (yeah, you knew that was comin') and they make them to order, so don't be in a hurry! I've had a couple of their regular slices and they're nice. The gluten free comes with the same toppings, but the crust is different. Thinner (if you thought you couldn't get any thinner, think again) and more crunchy.

  • Chae H.

This place is pretty fun, I really have no complaints. The pizza is thin crust, which is my favorite, and it tastes as good as it smells. I had the Hawaiian pizza and I would definitely suggest that as something to try. Try not to have high hopes, meaning thinking that your taste buds will go on a trip to heaven. It is good pizza, it does taste great, but it's not mind blowing.

  • Abigail B.

I had to try this place because my friends raved about it, but I found it very disappointing. The pizza was very greasy and cold and just disgusting. There was lasso hardly anywhere to sit and it wasn't a good environment.

  • K V.

The pizza was fantastic. I had the special (potato something slice - it was yummy). I ordered some wings as well but instead of half+half flavor got all of one flavor. Not a huuuge deal so I didn't complain but still kinda odd since there were so few customers there at the time and I had a whole discussion about the flavors with the girl taking the order. Another thing to note, the wings are *tiny*. And I mean TINY. Otherwise, great little spot in a nice area.

I love this type of pizza, thin crust with great ingredients! Wonderful! They also have a good selection of beer, and I will NEVER leave without their homemade rice crispy. I've tried all their slices, and while I enjoy them all I still love my pepperoni pizza! Sometimes it can get kind of cramped inside but that's just the nature of being popular. I personally think they are overpriced. I have to order 3 slices plus a salad and a crispy to be full. That's almost 20 bucks. Too pricey for the amount of food you get but it IS damn good!

What more can I say? It's Lucky Slice. If you haven't been here yet, change that. You can order a full size pie like other pizza joints, but the best thing to experience is ordering a slice (which is pretty much size of two). The specials are unique, and the food is quality. Update: Lucky Slice is the cream of the crop, the best of the best. I've been frequenting the Ogden location for a little over a year now and have had the opportunity to try almost all of their pizza offerings as well as some of their salads. 35 check-ins later, I have yet to be disappointed with the quality or service. You get what you pay for, and what you pay for is a damn good slice of pizza. There are few pizza places in the area that can compete with the diversity and taste of Lucky, although the real seller here is pizza by the slice served on a paper plate, which is something that every city needs. I will continue to go to both locations and share the good word with my friends and relatives. Peace. Love. Pizza.

Best pizza place! I go during lunch and just grab the slice of the day which is always a little unique and amazing.

Good the first ten time, then just ok, I think they have changed something over the last year...

I absolutely love this place. The mixture of downtown Ogden flair and a hipster type following make this place truly unique. The nerdy questions for a double punch always brings a smile to my face as I remember little snippets of my childhood resurfacing. The pizza here is amazing. It's greasy, thin and definitely makes you want to eat more and more with very bite. I love the daily specials, coming in less than $8 for two slices and a drink. It's not rocket science, and these guys have a great recipe for an awesome eatery. The tables are a little cramped at times, but it just speaks volumes for how busy this place can get during lunch. I also commend them for staying open late like most pizza joints back east. A Friday or Saturday night trip to the bars ends well with a lucky slice in hand. The only gripe I have is I wished they were here in Tucson.

Thoughts of the homebound Ogden pizza craver: "I love you Slackwater, but I have plenty of beer and that car seat's gonna be cold. Who can hook me up: The Pie? The Pizza Runner? Lucky Slice?" The Slice it was, and the Slice it shall be.

Love their pizza! Not as greasy as the majority. Very good customer service. Prompt deliver service. Always very very good pizza and appetizers. Would recommend to everyone! Please do yourself a favor, and try Lucky Slice Pizza!!!!

Came here with an appetite and left pretty satisfied. The pepperoni is amazing! Loved the slice but wasn't too thrilled with the BBQ chicken. I'll be back to try more choices.

Came here while on vacation from Cali. Yelp steered us in the right direction. Awesome pizza. Great vibe. Good prices. Huge slices. And my husband's favorite, the old school Ninja Turtles arcade game. I'd Def come back....if I'm ever back in Utah. :)

Great pizza! Great new original combos. (The Danimal!!) Cool style and attitude. What's not to love? Go there NOW!

Closest pizza to what I grew up with back east. Easily the best gluten-free pizza in town!! I eat mine with spinach and caramelized onions, but the options they provide are fantastic as well (the New Yorker, or the Fire Island especially). Nice atmosphere, art on the walls, urban feel, outdoor seating, plus they have beer and hard cider. Discounts with Powder Mountain season pass!

  • Karen I.

My friend really liked this place, but I was not impressed. I thought they were kinda pricey and skimped on the toppings.

    (3)
  • Seymour P.

God this is awful. The pizza is great, the atmosphere is great, everything seems great until you order. The wait times are fucking ridiculous. I ordered one piece of pepperoni pizza and got it... In 35 minutes. They have pizzas sitting out there too, so I say looking at this pizza for ever. The people working upfront are incapable of multitasking. Don't come here on a Good Friday night apparently

  • Kody M.

Oh I love lucky slice I ate there once before when I was with my friends it was amazing! But later that year I wanted some really good pizza and I forgot where it was! I knew it was in Ogden but didn't know where exactly but I was determined to find it! It took me three hours to find it but god damn it was worth the time!!!! 4 slices of big pizza and two drinks for 11 dollars it was pretty amazing!!! And I love the old style of the place!

Lucky Slice deserves nothintg less than 5 stars. If I could somehow give this place 10, I would in a heartbeat. THEIR PIZZA IS TO DIE FOR. I used to live basically across the street, and I probably ate here way too much. And I was never a huge pizza fan before this either, until I tasted their pizza... what pizza SHOULD taste like! The ingredients used are so fresh, and the combinations that they use are so unique and perfectly crafted! (Tip: Get the Danimal!) The atmosphere is awesome. Very casual, laid back, and just a chill vibe. I've sat in there for hours (seriously one night I think we were there for 8 hours)! It's comfortable, inviting, and somewhere that makes you feel welcome. The outdoor seating is great too for the warm summer evenings/nights and so relaxing! Their beer selection is also awesome. I am a huge fan of craft beer and they definitely have something for everyone, so it's also a great place to go just to have a few drinks (but if you do that, you're seriously missing out on the awesomeness of their food). The service? Unmatched. Everyone that works there (and owns it) are so great. They're so friendly and just really fun. Lucky Slice has the type of service you want when you go ANYWHERE... you don't want to feel like you're just another customer walking in the store. Anyway, I now live in California and it's the number food I truly miss from Utah. It is still, the best pizza I've ever had, and still tops my "favorite places for pizza" list anytime anyone asks. :D

  • Sean W.

Pizza is New York style....I love a good pizza so if you like New York style then this is the place...If you are looking for a place for dinner not much. No room for groups larger then 4 if you can get a table that is. There is a large bar crowd at night that visits...you have been warned.

    (3)
  • Braden T.

Slices are HUGE and Friday's 'Fire Island' Pizza sends my taste buds on an all expense paid vacation to the bahamas, with complimentary massage and spa treatment. It's that freakin' good. I love the atmosphere. Very 'pizza place' kinda feel to it. The people that run it are very nice and personable. I enjoy everything about going there. Plus if you beat the high score on the Ninja Turtle arcade game, you get a free slice!

  • Jose G.

This place is awesome. Noting better than leaving a bar around midnight on a Friday and stopping by Lucky Slice. Reminiscent of Adam's Morgan nights in DC.

    (5)
  • Melanie M.

Extremely unimpressed with the new nighttime staff. Called to request a delivery after midnight and was not only turned down but hung up on twice. We have been loyal customers due to the great pizza but customer service for locals has turned terrible. Definitely needs improvement. Would not recommend unless you have low customer service expectations and expect to be misstreated. Created yelp account for this experience alone and will not be recommending to anyone.

  • Nancy S.

This is NY style pizza with a healthy twist, all kinds of great toppings and the place has a great vibe. Best pizza in Ogden (and at Powder Mountain too!)

    (5)
  • Cobra K.

Cobra rolls in after spending hours at Club Wet. Cobra is hungry and Lucky Slice is the only thing Cobra sees open. Cobra parks car and orders slice of pepperoni for $2.49. Cobra eats and thinks pizza is good. This place is NOT AS GOOD AS IT GETS...unless your reference point is 25th Street.

    (3)
  • Vanessa Q.

Their specialty pizzas are delicious! We order gluten free and my husband never gets sick. The gluten free thin crust is fantastic and the prices are comparable to other pizza joints, as far as the gluten free pizzas go. I highly recommend the restaurant.

    (5)
  • Danielle H.

I love this place. It's so laid back and chill, the chalk wall is pretty dope, and the staff is awesome and down to earth. The breadsticks are huge and so are the pizza slices. They have a good selection of beer and quite a few original and creative pizzas. I recommend the flower child if you are vegetarian and love Mediterranean flavors.

    (5)
  • Ali G.

The best pizza I've ever had. Yet to find better anywhere. Try the danimal it's amazing. So is the margarita supreme. The Walnut pear salad Is also just exceptional... Seriously if your in the area stop by!!

  • Mike M.

I'm a native Jersey guy/pizza snob and this IS the only place in UT that makes you feel like you're back in the East Coast. By far the closest NJ/NY style pizza in all of Utah. I'm not going to say it's better than the best pizza in NJ/NY but they'd put up a good fight there. But in UT, they can't be touched. Right down to the single slice sales and arcade games. Not to mention white pizza.. one of my favorites. To all others in UT who have attempted to make white pizza, I have one word for you... ricotta... I repeat... ricotta. I've been waiting for someone to come to UT to show how pizza is supposed to be made. These guys have done it. I may have missed it but I don't remember them having sicilian pizza. If they do that, they will be complete.

    (5)
  • SJ F.

We had the margarita supreme & basic pepperoni. Great food - not gourmet, but definitely someplace I'll swing by and grab a slice.

  • Teresa I.

My favorite local pizza place! Well I've only tried their pepperoni pizza but it was perfect both times I've been there. The crust is thin and has a good crunch to it when you take a bite. The sauce is added in perfect amounts so as not to ruin the crust. The pepperoni is delicious. The size of the slice is huge. I need to get myself one of the punch cards so I can get myself some free pizza. I love the atmosphere inside. I am so glad I stepped inside and ordered lunch the first time I went in.

    (5)
  • Brielle Y.

As an old employee of lucky slice, i may have biased my opinion but this is the best pizza in town hands down! Great vegetarian options, good vegan options. Cooked to perfection. I am not all too happy with the people that are working the front now days though. When busy it takes MUCH too long to get ordered and get the pizza out. One of the guys literally seems as if he can not multi task at all. But good pizza, usually friendly service up until lately, and good location!

  • Ni C.

OMG! I've never had NY style pizza in NY, but I've had it a lot of other places and I think this might be the best- or 2nd best to Vinnie Van Go Gos in Savannah GA. This is absolutely wonderful!

    (5)
  • William C.

So, the night prior to eating lunch here, I tried Slackwater. I preferred Lucky Slice because the pizza was just slightly better. That said, I thought the value was similar, but lucky slice does not have a big dining room. The crust was tasty, the sauce was the focus, and the pepperoni was the real star. Great pizza!

    (4)
  • Jordan B.

Amazing Pizza! You can't go wrong with anything. Lucky Slice also a really cool atmosphere. It's just a laid back, relaxed environment. They have featured artists with prints hanging throughout the restaurant that you can purchase. I'm working my way through everything on the menu and have been nothing but pleased with everything. Great New York style pizza in Utah!

    (5)
  • Anthony D.

I had a fantastic chicken bacon ranch style pizza there and it was excellent. They put tomatoes and onions on it which a lot of places back home in NY don't do and that added a really nice touch. Guys working there were friendly and the plain pizza we had was good also. However, I had to ding it 1 star because the ran out of pepperoni. Really?!? What kind of pizza place runs out of pepperoni? Just was bizarre.

  • Dan R.

It lives up to it's reputation! Really great atmosphere and amazing pizza... reminded me of our favorite spots in Dallas. Also personally met the owners this evening, Nick & Mike, who are local business owners, supporting local business owners, which is awesome!

Cool place, great pizza. Flower child is a must try. Cool tunes, teenage mutant ninja turtles. Nuff said.

Great Pizza, Great Feel, and another regular place to eat. I love their Bianca and Fiery Island Pizza and the standard pep is awesome too.

  • Rhiannon R.

Perfect place for a pint and a slice!! Love the down town location and feel! I think this is the perfect place for an after work bite and beer or for a lazy Sunday afternoon snack. I like the Thai pizza and the ceaser salad is bomb!! I wouldnt take a large group here if you want to eat inside as seating is very limited. First date..... probably not unless your into dirt bag. Very chill place over all..

    (4)
  • Randy M.

Great thin crust pizza with many fresh ingredient combinations - the hot wings are a great side as is the small salad. The salad comes in a tiny box but don't let it fool you - it can be shared. The buffalo sauce and the chipotle lime wings are tasty! Friendly staff but not much seating - of you have a big group hit the back.

  • Jessica M.

I'm not saying this place is the best pizza in Ogden, but I think it deserves a place in the city. I don't think I'd ever go to Lucky Slice on a date night or a group activity, with choices like Slackwater or even the Pie close by. But, there are benefits to selling pizza by the (delicious) slice for under $3. It's the perfect little lunch (or anytime) fix when you just need a slice, and not a whole damn pizza. I've had their pesto and potato, which I thought was very good, albeit a bit dry. On my last visit, I opted for the classic pepperoni, and was not disappointed. I have to admit, though, I am not a huge fan of thin crust pizza. But, they do the thin crust well!

    (4)
  • Ashley S.

I wasn't really impressed. The inside of the restaurant is very small and crowded. The service is slow and not that great. We paid about $24 for about an 18 inch pizza and almost $10 for pita bread appetizer. The pizza was just alright, but definitely not worth more than $20 for a whole pizza! I just can't justify paying for the prices of their pizza's.

    (2)
  • J B.

I don't know that there's much I can say here that Nate S hasn't covered. But, let's start with the pizza. The crust, the foundation of the pizza, was hot, crispy, and flavorless. I broke off a piece of the crust just to make sure, and the crust simply lacks flavor. I realize it's a thin crust, but just a couple spices to give it some punch would be a great addition. Next up, the sauces. I tried a couple different slices. A Cajun slice and a Fire Island. Neither of these sauces offered much in terms of flavor, leaving all the flavor up to the toppings. What you're left with is cheesy toppings on cardboard. Perhaps cheesy toppings on cardboard is a bit harsh, but if the crust and sauce contribute so little to the pizza then they're nothing more than a vehicle to eat the toppings. The place itself is pretty cool. It seems like somewhere you'd just hang out with a couple friends and have a pizza. Additionally, I love that they offer beer and are open late. And, the pizza seemed very fair priced. In the end, I'd like to like Lucky Slice more. I would imagine with a couple small adjustments they could elevate the flavor of their pizzas.

  • Kristin G.

Lucky slice is exactly what they say it is: Fast, cheap, filling, and delicious toppings. They make a market pizza on Saturdays with fresh toppings from the farmers market, how cool is that? Now they have outside seating on the side of the building as well as the back, and you can enjoy a beer outside as well. Friendly staff, quick delivery, good pies. Its my favorite "quick" lunch. They can be a bit forgetful due to the HUGE response and lines out the door, so speak up if they miss something. They forgot out breadsticks and one persons order, all you need to do is mention it and they will fix it.

    (4)
  • Tristan R.

Lucky Slice is the best pizza place in Ogden. We usually get a couple slices and a drink, which is very filling. This place is almost too busy at lunch, so try coming on off-hours or on weekends to get the fastest service. One unique feature is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game, which is a game I grew up playing on Nintendo. The only negative is that there is very little seating, so don't take a large group here. I hope they can expand this location and add other locations in the near future!

    (5)
  • Justin M.

Good thin slice pizza. Not reinventing the wheel with creativity but the crust is good and he toppings quality. Great service and a cool looking joint. I would definitely take this place 10 times out of 10 over a chain joint.

  • Mister N.

Customer service was very good, as the staff was friendly, and most importantly, helpful. I steered away from conventional pizza and tried their beets and vinaigrette pizza which turned me off. It wasn't bad, but it didn't taste like pizza. My girlfriend got a cheese slice and hers was incredibly greasy and soggy. The crusts were thin, for I like thin crust, but the structural integrity of the pizza was compromised. We had to resort to using a fork and knife, but the forks and knives were plastic, which turned us off even more. We won't be coming back.

This is a good pizza place. Good fresh ingredients and a tasty crust. It was a thin pizza but not like Italian thin pizza. The salads were good. We had the dub all-star pizza. That was so delicious. I was a little hesitant at first but, was so glad we got it. Just a good pizza place and a cool decor. Definitely recommend it.

This pizza place just hit the map and I am so stoked it did. Traveling all winter I have to say this is the best pizza I've eaten all season. If you enjoy a crisp thin crust pizza you must try The Lucky Slice. They have fresh pizza by the slice in the window all day long including specialty pizzas they create themselves. The crew of guys that run the joint are a great bunch and you can tell how much care they put into their work. Not to mention THEY DELIVER! Best pizza in Ogden by far. A must try, plus super affordable. Win Win :) Oh did I mention they carry high point beer by the bottle. Good ones. Go to the Lucky Slice, it's rad.

  • Montain B.

This is a nice addition to downtown. We love hanging out here on Saturdays. They always have fun slice specials. The only think that keeps me from rating it 5 star is the cashiers... we have had a streak of bad attitude staff, but we are still big fans.

  • Ryan M.

Great solid Pizza-by-the-slice place in a cozy corner location. I came to Ogden expecting to eat somewhere else, but town was hopping on a Saturday night and this seemed the easiest place for a single diner to catch a bite to eat without a long wait and without enduring the wrath of taking up a whole table for 1 person while others wait at the door. I had two specialty slices and both generously-sized slices were served hot, crispy, and tasty. What more could you want? The Slices: Saturday Wildcard Pulled Pork Pizza: Pulled pork on a pizza with slaw. It was delicious. Dub All Star: This was good but less memorable compared to the pulled pork pizza. In all fairness, I ate this slice second and it wasn't as hot by the time I got to it (My fault, not theirs), which could have influenced my opinion.

This place is a great stop for lunch. I've been a few times and tried different stuff every time...some good some just weird but at least there are options. Good feel inside. It's where you want to go to complain about coworkers.

My hubby from Brooklyn says: if he can't have a New York pizza he wants this. I also loved my Thai pizza, I don't know what you are all talking about, I had awesome toppings, my crust was crispy like from a brick oven from New York and the toppings were fresh. They delivered our pizza exactly at 4pm just as I requested, it was hot and nummy! We will defiantly go back soon, when the hubby says he misses NYC

I guess I was "Lucky" to discover this little "Slice" of heaven! OK, enough with the corny puns. But seriously, I went to this place on a whim after stopping by Union Station Fermentation for some homebrew supplies. On first thought, I thought it might be one of those patchouli infested, indie hipster hangouts, but I was completely wrong. The inside is very small, with only a small L shaped hallway with a long wooden bench and some tables with chairs and they have bar style seating right inside the door. The walls usually have some sort of local art on the walls, last time I went, they had some homegrown Haiku's posted up - some of which were pretty funny. The pizza is "New York Style" and can be ordered by the slice and they usually have a daily special and a plain cheese (which you can add any amount of toppings for a plethora of combinations) At the time of writing the slices were about 3 bucks each, and for the size of them it's an amazing deal! Each slice is about the size of a paper plate. The crust is thin and crispy, and the toppings and sauce don't overpower each other. They serve beer (GOOD BEER! Uinta and other locals) and also have a punch card for free slices. The employees are nice and are very good at describing the new flavors that they have. I love this place, and I will continue to eat there as much as possible as long as it stays cheap and delicious!

Amazing cuisine....fabulous variety.....greatest staff and the danimal is hands down the best pizza on the planet!!!!!!!

The pizza is amazing. The staff both hip AND unpretentious. And a restaurant in Ogden open after 9 on a weeknight? I love this place

I have been here a few times and I love the selections and different pizzas they had. It's been great so far and just what 25th st needed.

    (4)
  • Jennifer W.

Definitely a hip, little addition to 25th St. Went there for lunch and it was pretty hopping. Ordered the pies o' the day, Spartican and the Pulled Pork. The crust was too thin and the flavor was pretty average. Not horrible pizza, but not great. I think it's awesome they are open so late and have a feeling it will be the late-night crowd that keep this place going.

    (3)
  • Preston T.

First of all this place doesn't deserve the two dollar signs. You can get a lot of food for VERY cheap upper limit of 1 dollar sign at the worst. Best pizza on the face if the earth. They use amazing thin crust for a lot of stuff but the absolute must try item is the croque monseur panini. tons of onions caramelized to perfection with enough black forest ham to kill a small child this thing is perfect.

  • Darren G.

Hands down home run Pizza. My first slice was the Flower Child...amazing! Can't wait to try all the rest.

  • Julianne W.

OMG - this is the best pizza I've had in a Long time! It has been consistently amazing and I actually Crave it! I've taken my g'kids there and have not been disappointed once. It's a great value for the money and the thin-crust pizza is always loaded with deliciousness, no matter what kind I've tried. I'd recommend them Hands Down for New York style pizza at a Utah price!

  • Angela J.

Great atmosphere, they did a great job with their ideal corner location. Exposed brick walls are played off well with wood floors and tables. It's dark but in a nice hangout way. And the music was GREAT! Indie playlists make me happy, and the place was upbeat and relaxing. Service was excellent, they were friendly but not overly chatty and quick on requests. The pizza was excellent, the pepperoni wasn't too spicy, the bacon was thick and perfectly cooked and the toppings were plentiful! Crust is thin but not salty or crispy, sauce had a great tangy flavor. I would absolutely go here on a weekend night, I loved the atmosphere and the 25 cent plays for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I rocked that game at one time). This place deserves it's spot and is everything 25th should be!

  • Mikaela S.

Every time i am leaving a bar late at night, and i am starving and all i want is a slice of pizza i curse the skies and scream "why is there no pizza by the slice here? whyyyyyyy?" Finally, after many a night having to settle for crappy tex mex, my prayers have been answered. Lucky slice is a rad little place on 25th street with pizza by the slice (as late at 2am on weekend nights) and tons of amazing options. They have gluten free, vegan , meaty goodness and many adventurous flavors. So far i have tried to gyro, dub all star, plain cheese, breakfast, an asparagus goat cheese pizza and all have been swoon worthy. These guys really love O-town and are so fun to talk to. They remember by name and my daughters name and even brought me and my friends pizza when we were doing a charity rummage sale. Did i mention they deliver? yes! they will being this awesomeness straight to your door and they serve beer too. If you want great pizza and you want to meet great people then stop on in and try it out.

Pretty good pizza, lacking on the sitting space for a sit-down pizza joint. Price is a bit much, also but good pizza.

Best pizza joint in Utah. I'll stake my reputation on their pizza. LEGIT!

    (5)
  • Samantha S.

This is the place Ogden has been missing all along! I am so happy that 25th street now has pizza AND not just any pizza, the best pizza that has ever hit my taste buds!!!! I am such a huge fan of this place and would recommend it to everyone! I find myself making excuses to run errands just so I can stop by.

    (5)
  • Thomas J.

A nice hot slice of tasty pizza and a cold bottle of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale beer for $7 and change, need I say more? They make whole pizzas to order as well as a changing menu of slices. Also, open on a Monday evening when most of the other food places in the Historic 25 th Street are closed. Indoor seating for about 20, carry outs & delivery.

    (4)
  • A E.

I love this place, the pizza is the best. They have tons of adventurous combinations and the slices are huge. It could use some more seating, especially in cold weather. The workers are friendly and happy to help you out, I really like how the taxes are included in the price.

    (5)
  • Luke F.

This is perhaps the best pizza in the state of Utah. I visit often. But don't go here if you want somewhere warm to eat. Tonight all the customers had their coats on -- meanwhile the staff who work near the ovens were in t shirts. Lucky Slice rightly takes great pride in their pizza but the physical comfort of their customers seems a pretty low priority. Maybe they should think about putting in some venting to funnel the excess heat from the kitchen into the dining area. Brrrr......

    (4)
  • Honestly A.

Tried this on the rec of Indie Ogden, and I wasn't disappointed. My mom and I shared the Flower (whatever-can't remember) pizza combo, and found it to be an interesting combination of pesto and full flavored vegetables. My only suggestion is that they watch their toppings--while one of our pieces had a light scattering of toppings, the other was loaded. We ended up reapportioning toppings to even it up. The super thin crust was nice, too!

    (3)
  • Tim O.

Ugggh, really wanted to like this place but alas no such luck. First of all on any given day they have two options by the slice, one of them being cheese. So I ordered a whole pizza for myself and it was ok, which I guess in Ogden passes just fine.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country.
