Amazing pastrami burger! French fries and fry sauce are great. A lot better burger than the fast food chains nearby

So why does this bug me?! Maybe it's the underlined all capitalized letters that lets you know that just in case you thought otherwise, they WILL charge you. I bought a sandwich combo and gyro with fries and it was 22$!!!!! And now .... 27 cents per fry sauce? I ordered 2 extra........ The food absolutely sucked AND to top it off, THEY FORGOT MY EXTRA FRY sauce!! Just so you know Mr. Jumbo burger, we all know how cheap ketchup and mayo is. So what's with your sign !!?

Yuck. I ordered the gyro plate on the strength of other reviews. It looked good, a lot of food- gyro, salad, fries, and I ordered a piece of baklava. However, the gyro meat was dried out, the tzatziki sauce was strangely sweet, the salad lettuce was limp. The fries and fry sauce were really good. Well, I thought, at least there's the baklava, my favorite pastry, so the honey-soaked crispy phyllo should melt in my mouth. But no, the baklava was soggy, tough and chewy. I threw most of the food away.

One star is kind of harsh, but hear me out. The place is called Jumbo Burgers. That's the name of it. Which bears only one requirement to live up to your name's sake. Make a somewhat large burger. It doesn't matter how great your other menu items are if your Jumbo Burgers are skimpy and cost $8 for the meal. My wife enjoyed her Greek gyro, and the quality was pretty good from what I could tell. But driving away with $19 spent for a meal for two shouldn't leave anyone feeling less than impressed with their Jumbo Burger. Three options for you to consider: 1. Increase the size of your patty by at least 2-3 thicknesses, you know, to resemble something larger than a McD's hamburger patty. 2. Keep the skimpy patty but make it twice the diameter and give it a respectable sized bun and fixins, you know, to resemble something larger than a normal sized burger. 3. Change your name to Average Sized Burgers For More $, And Other Stuff Too! I'll be back...

Food is sometimes hit or miss. Usual burgers shakes and fries joint. Fries are frozen thick cut variety similar to Big Jim's. They're tasty with the fry sauce. Shakes are not hand scoop but machine type ice cream, then blended. Burgers are fresh as well as toppings, but sometimes they're either over seasoned or under seasoned. Grilled chicken sandwich is never good. Its always dry as it is pre cooked some time in the past, split in half, refrigerated, then the middle sections are butterfly opened on the grill to reheat to order. Just like Big Jim's. Its not good, but the reasoning is obvious. Chicken breasts (with there non uniform shape and all) take much longer to cook from raw than uniform size and thickness beef patties. Pre cooking delivers the chicken at the same time as burgers for orders. But the quality definitely suffers as a result. Haven't tried the fried chicken sandwich, but it looks of the Sysco food service frozen variety from what I've seen. For decent/good burgers and fries and shakes, this is the best choice in the neighborhood.

On the way to Idaho from California, we stopped to get gas and breakfast. Good options were McDonalds, Del Taco, Taco Bell or some sit down joint. Luckily, the driver spotted the sign for Jumbos and since the yelp reviews were good, we thought we would give it a try. Walk in and you will be pleased to see how clean it is. It's set up like fast food except the kitchen is the line and you see the whole grill, fryer, chill drawers, etc so you can see your food made. This place was spotless. Even tho we were the first customers of the day, you can tell they scrub this place down at night with care. We ordered 2 ranch burgers and a grilled chicken sandwich. The burger patties and chicken Breast were not precooked. Slapped onto the hot grill, the cook (who might be the owner. He gave of that vibe ) got soft potato rolls onto the griddle and bacon cooking. As the items neared readiness, cheese was placed on and the sandwiches were assembled thoughtfully so that your stuff didn't fall out on every bite and warmed ham and bacon helped to finish melting the cheese. The chicken sandwich had good flavor. It was maybe marinated in lemon. Well seasoned and juicy. The bacon was very crispy. The burgers were juicy and even tho loaded they were not at all sloppy. The fries were good solid fries, could have maybe used an extra minute in the oil. When we were ready to go, the cook/ owner saw we were eating in the car and gave us big cardboard boxes so we all had lap tables instead of bags. That was great. Overall, clean, tasty, many option, fast, not greasy and a must stop on our trip home!!!!

Do yourself a favor and skip the chain burger places in the area. This place has fresh food cooked to order. The food is always hot and excellent. Burgers and gyros are my favorite. I take my family of 5 there and it is hardly any more money than the chain places but the food is worth double what they ask for it. The service is perfect every time as they have never messed up my order. More than I can say for the other local places. If you like fresh charbroiled burgers with the service of a great local owned small business then this place is for you.

If you are looking for fast food in the North Ogden, Farr West area, this is the place. Skip the big chains. The rib eye steak sandwich is huge and very tasty. It was a tad overlooked so ask for medium date if you want some pink. Even medium it was juicy. The lettuce was fresh and obviously not from a package. And the tomatoes looked great The wife said they were good (since I didn't eat mine).

Like the sign says best burger in town. If your REALLY hungry go with the Jumbo special 3 patties w/ your choice of toppings plus fries and drink. Charbroiled goodness. You won't be hungry for a long time after. The Gyros are really good as well.

Definitely better option than the big chains as you travel I-15 through Ogden. It's just past the 7eleven.

There is something about the taste of the burger that I don't like. The fries are good but the burger has a certain taste where it almost has an odd subtle metallic like taste to it. I can't explain it but their are better burgers in Ogden to go to than this.
