This is the best orange chicken in town. I love it. Atmosphere is typical of most Chinese restaurants. Service is quick and prices are affordable.

I agree with some of the other reviewers.. I don't care that it's not "Authentic". Don't they eat dog over there? The fact of the matter is that this place is good! The Pon Pon Chicken is way good. The cashew chicken is good as well. The only compliant that I have is the Twice Cooked Pork.. it tasted good but there wasn't much pork in it at all. Overall, good Chinese place.

Tasty food. I got the Kung Pao Chicken and it was delicious. The wanton soup was also really good. Everything was reasonably priced. My only complaint is that the bathroom was kind of gross.

Americanized Chinese gets a bad rap. I'm here to tell you that I do. not. care. if this place serves "authentic" Szechuan cuisine. What they do serve is incredibly delicious cashew chicken, with perfectly cooked veggies, delicous sauce and toasted cashews that I still dream about months afterward. They serve towering walnut shrimp dishes that taste like candy. Their fried wantons, made with chicken livers, would beat the pants off any Bloomin' Onion for most craveable appetizer in the world. Their chicken soup is strangely viscous, yet still some of the best I've ever had. And the service could not be better: they remember our family members by name every time we come in, remember who likes chopsticks and who likes forks, and where we like to sit. Is the Golden Dynasty authentically Chinese? That's debatable. Is it authentically awesome? Never in doubt.

Food is fine.. nothing stands out but then again we didnt get a lunch special. Can't substitute on lunch specials, which sucks (we wanted regular fried rice not ham fried rice). They start you with ketchup & mustard (??) Nice, big, sit down place. Good prices.

Our favorite chinese restaurant in the area. Lunch special for about five bucks, with soup and rice. Service is always lightning fast at lunch, and they have nice seasonal specials (like asparagus chicken). I love the hot and sour soup, and their szechuan chicken is the standard by which all others are measured. I do have to say that the Orange Chicken was not particularly impressive.

i rarely eat americanized-chinese food when i'm at home (los angeles), but since i'm here in ogden for 2 weeks, it's all that i've been craving (plus it's better than eating fast food). anyway, i really like their hot & sour soup (i've been here for a week, had h&s soup at 2 other places and this place was the best). had their pon pon chicken (szechwan) for lunch today. it was fried, thought it was suppose to be sauteed? but it was pretty good. likely make another lunch visit before heading back to cali.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
