My brother thought I would be too ashamed to write a review of this place but a dive is a dive, some just have better food than others. We hit this place twice a year for a huge family dinner about 40 to 50 people and eat like crazy, having spent about 12 years in Las vegas I've built up a tollerance to buffet food. The food is actually pretty decent but I have no Idea how much it costs to eat here. I should be obvious what you're getting into when you come here. The place is fairly clean and the people who work here are nice.

I recently ate here with my family. As with all other buffets it's self-service. We got our own plates, utensils, food, drinks and drink refills. There was little for our server to do asides from walk past our table every 5-10 minutes asking if everything was tasting OK. I wouldn't consider myself to be a cheap person but oftentimes I won't tip at a buffet unless there's some sort of additional service provided by the staff. Had our waitress offered to blow on my hot mashed potatoes to cool them down I'd leave a tip but nope, we even did this ourselves. Apparently this upset our waitress because she followed us into the parking lot as we left screaming at us in front of dozens of customers waiting to enter the restaurant. "I HOPE YOUR SERVICE WAS GOOOOD!" she shouted as she threw her towel down in disgust. Yeah, my service was awesome. Things were done exactly how I like them and in a timely manner because I did them all myself. Her service involved saying "How's that ham tasting?" while forcing a smile so fake it made the film Godzilla look like a historical documentary. I understand being upset there wasn't even a few pity dollars left for this poor woman who got stuck working the weekend shift instead of sitting at home binge-watching Storage Wars in her doublewide with her significant other, but come on. This lady made a scene like a tired 4-year old being told they had to brush their teeth and go to bed. I felt so embarrassed for this enraged woman. Having said that, the food was pretty good for generic buffet food. The troughs were well stocked with food as people lined up in their sweatpants, waiting to stuff their faces like true Americans. The facilities were clean and the rest of the staff seemed semi-plesant and didn't come across as being one bad tip away from taking a carving knife to the back of a complete stranger. There are some amazing and unique restaurants in Ogden, thus, I would only recommend this place if you're in town and are afraid of trying new things. Sure, you'll leave feeling satisfied but if you leave without leaving a tip for being asked how the scones taste be prepared to bolt for your car before you catch a blade to the abdomen. God bless Ogden and God bless the Chuck-A-Rama.

I was very disappointed in this chuck-a-rama. Mind you, I am not a big fan of Chucka-rama nor buffets. Grandpa wanted to take us out to lunch and old people LOVE buffets for some reason. I like the salad bar but I dream about the scones and honey butter. This location had the GREASIEST scones I have ever eaten. They were also tough. It made me very sad.

First off I should let you know that I am not very fond of buffet style restaurants because you get more food but it is lower quality. With that said this chick a Rama is actually pretty good. It depends on what day of the week it is what kind of food that you get. I personally like when they have seafood because I really like seafood and it is a good price.

Typical buffet, salads, meats, desserts. They were a little stingy with the meat cuts, they would slice them paper thin, even asking to give me a thicker cut it was not much thicker. You need to keep going back and back and back to get a fill on the meat. The rest of the food was pretty good. Let the waiter/waitress earn their tips, they will bring you drinks.

Good for the money. Need more food selection. Need more items on their salad bar.

This is probably one of the better buffets in the area. Yes, it is still a buffet so the food is not the most gourmet style of dining (they don't advertise as such either) but the quality of food here compared to some of the other buffets in the area is much higher. The price here is also slightly higher than other buffets in the area (only a few dollars more) but includes a drink and better food. Overall, I think it's worth the extra expense. The restaurant was clean and our dishes were tended to in a timely manner. The bathroom sinks took a while to get the hot water in but they did eventually get the hot water in.

This is better than any other buffet I've eaten. The food and service were both great! Our server stopped by way more than we needed and made sure to keep our table clean. All the food exceeded my expectations. At a buffet, you cannot expect the food to be completely fresh but the food here was barely a step down from that. The portions seemed a little smaller so they refilled with fresh food more often. Everything I ate tasted real and home-cooked. I was particularly surprised by the turkey roast. The meat was tender and flavored just enough (not too salty). I also recommend grabbing a few scones and trying them with both the honey butter and brown sugar butter. Every dessert looked homemade like grandma made it herself - delicious and carefully dressed. I scooped a piece of almost every dessert. Overall, I would recommend Chuck-A-Rama to anyone looking for a large amount of home-cooked food. So far it was the best-cooked and freshest-kept buffet I've been to. 4 stars for the price:value!

My family and I go to chuck-a-Rama at least once a month. They have awesome rolls, salads, and kettle roasted turkey. Good family environment and affordable. The only small complaint I have, is there Chinese and Mexican food nights are not the greatest.

I got my own drinks and I got pretty fed up with the supposed server coming to my table with the "dirty dish bucket" that's disgusting. Also your bathrooms looked like a horror movie but was cleaned right away after I let someone know, not that it helped the feel of it much. I liked the Boston cream cake and my husband really liked the Mexican salad type food. My 3 year old really liked the mac n cheese though it didn't seem like it had the real cheese in it like the commercial claims. The food was acceptable the general cleanliness was atrocious and I found a bug crawling all over my table before we left, that didn't suprise me much considering the feel was that of a restaurant in a box in some alley.

Wowza....didnt expect the selections to be so veggie friendly! The only draw back is that it was very crowded which made it a little loud to hear the other people at the table. BUT nonetheless, was surprised to find that this buffet delivered flavourful foods. Enjoy!

I love their rolls, and go here for that. But I think their are cleaner Chuck a Ramas.

They have a really good selection and are excellent at keeping the food stations filled and cleaned.
