I have eaten at several Bout Time's and have never had a good food experience. I have tried a wide variety of their menu items in hopes that I'll find something tasty, but I'm always disappointed. They have a very lively atmosphere and the Newgate Mall location has been hopping the last couple times we've come in. There are plenty of TV's around the room and they have the Buzztime trivia game that I really enjoy.

This place is great! Not only do they have good food and great beer.. it's a great atmosphere to watch the game with friends or family! The staff is so great they always remember the drink I ordered the last time I was visiting. They are prompt and speedy.. unless a little short staffed and busy, but that's normal! I'm always impressed and keep coming back!

A very pleasant atmosphere. And the plethora of HDTV screens make viewing a game much easier than most places. It can get noisy but that is to be expected in an establishment that caters to jersey wearing football fans. The food was the usual bar type and presented on platters lined with paper embossed with the bar's name. That's better than generic Costco wax paper and implies a certain bit of professionalism. Prices were as expected and the staff was very friendly. Always quick to notice my near empty mug. I will certainly go there again!

Meh. Food is average and the beer is cold. Patio is nice. Inside ambiance is relaxed. Try not to get Crystal as a waitress. Otherwise, It's your typical sports bar. Glad to have it around. They do Trivia on Wednesdays at 7pm. The host is good guy, come support him if you can.

Alcohol now served in the mall!?!?...who would have thunk it! Well...to put it simply, the food is worth a visit, yet the staff is horrible.

This place is terrible! Bout time to close this hole down. The place feels sticky and cheap. The waiter "Cosmo T" was rude and slow. I came in with a medium sized group to watch a game and waited over 30 minutes for a look at the menu! I ended up walking out. I do not recommend this pub to anyone. I will not be going back....

I am working on a yelp that will do this place justice but it was so bad It is going to take me a while. In the mean time I would hate for someone to go in thinking this is a good place.This little 1 star review will have to do for now. Check back for a proper yelp.

Bout Time there was a place like this in Ogden. Big, but intimate tables. Great decor, and has a patio on the outside of the mall. Only thing that wasn't great is that the prices are fair for drinks, not any great deals. The atmosphere makes up for it though.

Been here several times with the hubby. LOVE all the sports going on and they are happy to put it on soccer which made hubby happy. The two guys that have waited on us are awesome, the blond girl not so much; once we walked out because she just never came to serve us. My husband loves the philly cheesesteak and I am a fan of the island cowboy. They are messy sandwiches, but so yummy. I've also had the chubby (huge and full of flavor) and a chicken sandwich (also delicious). They do run out of stuff occasionally, but overall we have been thrilled. And yes, we were AMAZED that there is a bar...in the mall...in UTAH! yay :)

This is the funnest place in ogden for sporting events. Fun staff, and they have a great patio year round with heaters for the winter. Get the smoked wings! Mild for me.

I LOVE Bout Time! I am here for every major sports event, and every hockey game. The wings are amazing, I prefer the smoked style. The beer selection is awesome and The staff is even better. We're on first name basis at this point and they have my drink ready when I walk in the door. I would definitely recommend this bar to everyone I know.

I don't venture to Ogden often but when I do I come here and have never been disappointed. Whether it's packed for a game or it's a slower afternoon I always feel like I'm attended to and taken care of. I've tried several things on the menu and have been satisfied with each selection. In my experience it's been Scott or Joe behind the bar and you can tell that they know what they're doing and they take pride in their job and their bar. Keep it up boys!

Good service, cold (big) beer, but the food was not good. I've had worse, for sure, but it's very obviously a food-meant-as-a-side-dish-for-beer-and-distracted-people-watching-sports kinda place.

FIX the FOOD, FIX the FOOD! I like this place as a bar but the food is just bad. We have tried various things here and none are good and some are down right terrible. As soon as they fix the food I will go back have a meal, a beverage, watch a game and play some trivia but...

I'm from California, so $4.50 for a beer seems reasonable, but what was truthfully a shame, was the watered down excuse for a margarita I was served.... what made it even worse was the bar tender asked me what kind of vodka I wanted as she was entering our order into the POS system... My response was, "ma'am I ordered a margarita, so I'll be needing tequilla, not vodka." However, I'm not entirely sure she put any alcohol in the drink. Overall, this is Utah, so I suppose the mere fact that you can get a drink at the mall is considered a victory, but next time I might just prefer the sweet tea at chick-fil-a.

Not sure how anyone would give a bad review here, plenty of great food choices, tacos, flat iron steak, breakfast burrito, and smoked wings great service from friendly staff (some are quite cute), but you do have to be realistic, if there are 2 servers and 40 customers it might be a minute, I have never had a bad experience and I feel like I am with friends every time I come in.

The food was ok. The service was horrible. I don't blame the server so much as he seemed to be the only one on shift to operate the floor. We never got any refills unless we flagged him down. Employees were playing on the "punching bag" game. Our plates stayed on our table and we're not pre-bussed regardless of how many times he walked by. We didn't ever get a ticket or get told the total. He just ran our card after we flagged him down and told him we would like to pay.

Bout time we had a place in the mall to eat other than the food court. Bout time you could get a beer (or mixed drink) before seeing a movie. Bout time you could order said drink without ordering food. Bout time you could get good food in a bar / lounge. Bout time you could take a minor in with you to enjoy said food. Bout time there was a place like BOUT TIME!! On a side note, I had the halibut fish and chips. Affordable, tasty. The chips were homemade tater chips and were excellent as well. We also sampled the bacon-wrapped fried olives. I hate olives. Still do, but the bacon was really good.

This place sucks, so I can see why they would put it in a mall. The service sucks. Waitress breaks glass and cleans it up half assed leaving huge chunks on the benches, real smooth. A friend of mine ordered a Pinot noir (red wine) and received a Pinot Grigio (white wine), send it back, and wtf kind of "pub" serves Pepsi over coke?? "Can I have a rum and Pepsi?" Said no one ever! um no thanks. She kept forgetting waters that were ordered and I got real nervous when she took our food orders without writing anything. Got garlic fries for appetizer. They weren't too bad, you know, for being cold. Two friends order the same steak, one was supposed to be rare, the other medium. Both came back waaaaaaayyy over cooked, the waitress couldn't tell between the two steaks because they were both cooked the same, looked well done to me, there was no red or pink on that steak...good thing I didn't order that. I ordered the pizza to share with my kids, nothing special there, super greasy. The one thing I've learned about places like these, is the food is never good unless you're drunk or are drinking, because then it doesn't matter what you're eating as long as you have the munchies to stuff your face with. I'd much rather go to squatters, it's not a sports bar, but they can at least do pizza and beer right!

Been here twice now. First time we were just walking in the mall and saw a pub and thought WTF a Pub in the mall...in Utah??!? So we had to check it out. although we had already had lunch we just got a beer. They have a full bar so lots of mix drinks, liqueur and beer to choose from. The second time we went there was because my brother in law didn't believe us that there was a bar in a the mall so we had to blow his mind. This time we did get food. I got the chicken tacos with a salad. The chicken was nice and moist with lettuce and cheese, i asked for the salsa and mayo sauce on the side. But they were pretty good, i was kinda bummed they didn't have Italian dressing as a dressing option for my salad so i got it plain. I know I'm crazy because i don't care for ranch, I get it all the time! Now my husband and brother in law got this AMAZING looking burger, it had corn beef, ham, bacon and an over easy egg, yes PLEASE! They said they loved it but the only thing they could say bad was the burger was kinda bland needed more seasonings. Other then that I think we will be back again. Cant wait for them to start showing the UFC fights. But they show all sports and have A LOT of TVs so you wont miss a thing. They are all very friendly come check it out!

We eat here about once a week for lunch. The smoked wings with sweet chili or captain morgan sauce are some of the best in town. Everything else has been well put together well seasoned. I am not a fan of their pizzas or they would get 5 stars.

This place is awful. We walked in and waited a few minutes for someone to seat us or let us know to sit wherever.. didn't happen. 4 employees stood behind the bar just looking at us. We gave up and sat in a booth and finally a waitress comes running over and tells us that we can't sit there, it's reserved. Would have been nice if someone sat us maybe? Didn't have a lot of drinks they offered on their menu, service was slow, my food was dry.

Atmosphere was sports friendly and prices were appropriate. Service was awful. Waited 40 minutes for chicken tenders and they never even put the order in, thirty minutes for a beer, and comics were tough. Not coming back if i have the choice......

'Bout time is right. Took a few minutes to get menus after we sat down. The waitress took our orders and it took at least 45 minutes for two sandwiches and another 15 beyond that for two pizzas. Also took the waitress 15 minutes to bring silverware and 20 beyond that for the check. If you want to get in and out avoid this place. Slowest service I have ever seen at a restaurant. As a sidenote when we went it was lunchtime on a Saturday, not busy at all.

What on earth did I ever do in a previous life to have to walk through those doors and order food??? We waited an age for a couple of sandwiches which were just ok. Wouldn't go there again unless just for drinks and maybe not even then.
