There's just something special when you enter a cozy restaurant and see an ahjumma (korean term for a place with a traditional lady cook) hustling and bustling to whip up a steaming bowl of goodness. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly waiter and ordered one of their ginger citrus tea (2.99) to warm up on a frigid night. It was cinnamon-y, ginger spiced and just the right amount of sweet. What better to warm up with than a piping, still boiling bowl of Daeoo Tang (Spicy Cod Fish Tofu Stew 9.99) and an assortment of banchan paired with steamed rice? Remember... eat slowly because it is HOT. The kimchi, which is homemade, and the sliced seasoned dried radish really tied the meal together. I suggest you order seconds because they go fast! Let me tell you, $14.00 seems to be a steep price for a dinner for one on a normal day but this was one of those times when it was definitely worth it. I left satisfied and with a spring in my step (could be the ginger tea). The waiters are more than happy to explain a dish unbeknownst to you and of the ingredients. I look forward to coming back and trying their bibmbap and bulgogi! Not to mention pick up some korean goodies in their little store. Ogden really needs more of these kind of places.

First Korean Bbq we've every been to but the homemade kimchi was great as was all the food. The waitress was very friendly and guided us on how to eat the food without seeming judgemental.

Love love love the Chicken Bulgoki. In comes from the kitchen on a very hot cast iron plate that continues cooking your food in front of you. This place also makes their own Kimchi that's soo good! reminds me of the last time I ate dinner in Korea. This is a good place to eat REAL Korean food and not some watered down American version of Korean food. It's so nice to have this authentic Korean restaurant on the north side of Ogden.

We came in near closing after my daughter's swim meet. Wonderfully friendly staff and outstanding stone bowl beebeembop. We will be back for lunch tomorrow

The food is delicious and decently priced for the amount. Glad to find good Korean food in Ogden. Only complaint is that we had to wait a considerable amount of time for our food to come out, even our appetizer. The wait staff was extremely courteous and apologetic, there was only one waitress for a considerable amount of people. They have a little snack shop in the restaurant with various Asian treats and goods, very cute and interesting. Clearly a family run business, which is great because I love to shop and eat local.

Love their lunch specials! I always get the Beebop spicy pork with potatoes on the side, delicious! For those that like lunch and want to try dinner, just be warned that in the dinner portions they mix up the rice with the spicy meat, so it becomes a LOT of spicy rather than spicy meat over white rice. It's a bit different, not bad, but different. I prefer the lunch.

Very authentic Korean Restaurant. It's something unique here in Ogden. My favorite orders are Beef Stone Bowl & Chicken Gyoza.

As soon as I saw my food being brought out on the typical Korean hot plate (unlike the other Korean restaurants in the area that serve their food on regular plates), I knew it was going to be good! It was easily the best Korean food in Northern Utah. Before driving up here (I live in Clearfield), I read the low ratings about the food taking such a long time to be served and when I got here, it was clear why. She starts every order from scratch and works by herself: serving, cooking, cleaning, and cashiering; but the food is incredible. I've now been to all the Korean places in the Ogden-Clearfield area and this is by far the most authentic and delicious, including better than what seems to be the current hometown favorite, Kimchi House. The kimchi is clearly home made and the rest of my meal, including the rest of the side dishes, the spicy chicken bulgogi and mandu (gyoza) were fantastic. I will drive here often and long wait time is well worth it!

I don't know much about Korean BBQ other than the cup bin food truck but this place was good. Meat was not fatty and the flavor was delicious

the food was great once i got it... i had an hour for lunch, i waited 50 minutes, and then asked for it "to go. when i asked for it, it took only 2 minutes to put it together. I literally have no idea what they were waiting for, and why it took so long. would have put 1 star, but the food was good therefore 2 stars.

Best Korean I've had in Utah so far! (moving to Utah from California has been a rude awakening from a culinary perspective) Was it the best Korean food I've ever had, not even close but it was very good. My only complaint is that they were out of spare ribs which are my favorite. We even purchased some kimchi to take home with us--it was very good.

We ordered Gimbop, Bulgogi, Dolsot Bibimbop. The food was delicious and fresh. Gimbop is beef bulgogi Gimbop only but still taste good. Home made Kimchi was awesome!! Miss Goh the owner was so pleased we were there. I feel sorry for the owner Miss Goh because the waiter does not have any experience about the job so he had no idea how to take care of the customers. There were only three tables of 2 people at the time we were there. The waiter forgot our drinks and set the side dishes on the counter without covering them. After 40 minutes he served them to us so I asked him to bring us new ones. People! Miss Goh needs a helper so so badly!! If someone you know needs a job and is responsible and hard working, please please send them to Miss Goh. I would love to go back there soon and I will recommend her and her restaurant to my friends.

Great food and mini Korean market. Food takes a while because it's fresh and made right. Made my Korean in-laws very happy to surprise them with Beebop. Ordered bulgogi, japjae and short ribs. Smiles all around. The fact that you can also pick up a few staples like spicy ramen, seaweed and fresh kimchi to take home were a bonus! If you understand and appreciate Korean food in a simple hole in the wall setting - you'll love it. If you think Asian food is all the same, good luck - go to Panda Express and use a fork.

Been here twice now. Very good food, very good pickle sides. I will definitely be back. Hopefully they can stay open because both times I've come I'm the only on here. Make sure you get the stone bowl, it definitely makes a difference. Got to have the toasted rice or else it's not korean.

First time trying this new korean place out. You can't find any korean restaurants around ogden, so this is a plus for them to open it around this area. I usually go to Myung Ga down in West Valley area for some korean, but now that I've tried this place out..I would say that it's quite good! The atmosphere is very homey and quaint. There are also some nice paintings on the wall and some groceries and treats that you could buy there. So I ordered the bibimbap (not on stone) but I recommend ordering the one that comes with the stone bowl so that it doesn't get cold easily. And also ordered the cod fish spicy tofu soup, it was very tasty and the more you drink the soup the spicier it gets. Both dishes were good in my opinion. The price was also good. At the end, I also bought some homemade kimchi at the place for just $10. So our total came out to just $40 ish. Not bad for two people!

Food is delicious. The specialty is their stone bowls. I had the spicy pork stone bowl. The dishes are spiced for a local palette, but they can make it as spicy as you want. The restaurant makes its own kimchi, which you can purchase. The food is different but delightful. I hope everyone supports this establishment.

I think Beebop became one of my favorite places! We went there with a toddler who got quite cranky... But employees were very polite, friendly, and caring! Below are pros and cons: Pros: -They made a kid's dish upon our request! Employees were super friendly and even the chef came to our table to talk to us. -I ordered beef bulkogi, and and my husband ordered spicy pork bulkogi. Both were delicious and spicy pork was not too spicy (phew!). Total was about $26 which is not too bad considering those dishes are served as dinner menus as well. -Free appetizers were also very good! We loved all of them (kimuchi, been sprout, and sweet seasoned potato)! Cons: -Maybe because we went there on Sunday, there weren't many employees. It felt like it took a bit longer than I expected for our food to be served (or, maybe because my baby was cranky...). -Lunch menus are available only during the week and there aren't many choices for lunch menus. You can always order dinner menu though. Overall, my husband and I are very happy to find this family friendly place! We think that it is the best one so far in Ogden ~ Layton area. We will definitely go back to Beebop!!

Took over an hour to get our food and we had to ask for utensils. The food was tasty but not outstanding once we finally got it but when there are only three tables occupied it shouldn't take an hour. I can see why it wasn't busy on a Saturday night. Should have taken the signs of not being busy as a warning. I don't think they even started out food until about 20 minutes after we ordered and then we had to ask for a fork to eat it with.

The food is excellent. I've been here several times now, and I really like the food I've been served. A lot of flavor! I haven't dined in so I'm unsure of the service quality. My favorite is the bulgogi. Not sure on the spelling. The sides are delicious, I love the potatoes! I didn't think I'd like Kim Chi, but I do. I also like the cucumbers. I would give it 5 stars if I knew if the service was good or not.

Cook and waitress are very friendly. The first Korean in Ogden that I know of. Food is great. Japchae is delcious, strong black pepper flavor though, which I like and only comes with vegetables, no beef. Beef bulgogi is also very delicious. I always get the lunch medium size which comes with soup, a medium size portion main entree of your choice, rice, and 4 sides. Try it out.

Being new to the area, I was a bit apprehensive about a Korean spot in Ogden (the line Korean spot, at that)...I'm so glad I tried it! Had the beef bulgoki...delicious! The sides were very good, too. I don't know what is in the pickled pepper slices, but I could have eaten a whole plate of them! Cucumber kimchee was a bit different than I am used to, but still hit the mark. Service was outstanding and I will be back!

I think I'd rather make my own rice and cabbage and save myself the money, too expensive for the amount of food

Food was too salty. Not only that the food took 45 minutes after ordering. Service is horrible and the waitress is unable communicate in English. If looking for korean food this is not the place to go. I don't understand other reviewers are able to give such a good review. I think they gave good reviews because they do not know korean food and normal korean restaurant service.

Valentine Massacre I wanted a nice Korean dinner for my Korean wife on Valentine's day. Instead we got the worst experience ever. This place should be ashamed to call it a restaurant. It's service is horrible, the food isn't great and the prices are high. We waited over 45 minutes for them to take our order. The American waiter walked around totally confused and didn't know what he was doing. We didn't even receive a glass of water while we waited. We saw four sets of tables leave without ordering because of the poor service. After ordering it took another 45 minutes for us to receive our dinner. We got it togo because it took so long. When we got it home we had ordered three dinners and only had rice for one person. It had three extremely small containers with one bite of kimchee in each. My wife's dinner didn't have any of the red sauce on it. Extremely disappointed we can't get a decent Korean restaurant around Ogden. Needless to say we won't be coming back.
