This is a super clean McDonalds. We came in here after driving back from Canyonlands for a snack. They sell bags of ice for 99 cents - they advertise this outside. While waiting in line, I saw a guy buying three bags of it - they must sell a lot of ice? I ordered a hamburger and a sweetened ice tea. My friend ordered 20 pieces of chicken nuggets for us to share. She ordered before me and got her order right away. Except they only have her one box of 10 piece chicken nuggets. So she had to tell them to give her the rest of the order. My order took forever to get and I'm not sure why - I got my cup right away to fill my own iced tea at the drink station. I waited more than 10 minutes for my one hamburger. And then while we were eating, we also realized that they gave my friend a cheeseburger instead of a hamburger (but she did order a hamburger and they charged for a hamburger). They kind of don't have their act together, but otherwise, it's clean and the food tastes like McDonalds.

The food itself was fine. Very normal McDonald's (seriously, does the food vary anywhere?), but what bothered me was the amount of flies in the seating area and the service. The people working there seemed to have no idea what they were doing, were barely audible when calling out the orders, and just a bit clueless. I am giving them a star because the food was generally fine and the Wi-Fi worked really well.

  • Ari C.

Why bother ordering if you're just going to give me whatever the hell you want? I only ever get one thing that I seem relatively safe because... Ew. McDonald's. But it's been wrong all 3x I've been here. Over it. pay attention, morons. If you for some reason are forced to eat this garbage, check your order before you roll out.

Dropped in to get the kids fed before horseback riding on a swing through Moab. We should have known when the line of waiting customers was huge, and there was only one fellow taking orders. I repeated my food order four times, and there was still food missing from the order, and it was plated, instead of being ready for take-out, as clearly requested. While we were waiting a crazy amount of time for the food to be prepared, we tried to use the restroom. The Men's was closed for cleaning the entire duration of our wait (20+ mins), and they seemed to be debating closing the Women's at the same time. This was 8:30am, when people are trying to grab breakfast on their way somewhere. Ugh. This was 20+ minutes lost forever.

The service is very Slow and understaffed. The McDonald's building is legit though. Lots of stone work.

  • Jamie S.

It's McDonalds. Didn't expect gourmet, but was frustrated at the really slow process of ordering and eventually getting the food. But hey, they were open (at 7am on Sunday in Moab we didn't find anything else).

  • Jess F.

This McDonald's was pretty disgusting. A lot of smelly tourists and a really really dirty bathroom and store. They had 2 people taking orders - but there was about 10 people waiting for the food and the counter was so crowded with people waiting around to grab the next bag that showed up. It was also annoying that they wouldn't give me my drink cup while I was waiting for my food. With so many other options in Moab - only stop if you are desperate.

  • Kelly T.

It was clean and fast but a bit overpriced for a McDonald's. Our two meals came to over $12 which I thought was absurd since the mcmuffin and hash was so darn small. There is also no DOLLAR MENU for all those that are wondering but I guess that's what the franchisee has decided on since it's a tourist town.

  • Keith N.

Hundreds of flies in the dining area. This place would be closed by health inspectors in other states.

  • Guy B.

Nasty... Big roach crawling across the floor right in front of the counter... Employees didn't even take care of it after I pointed it out to them...

    (1)
  • MikTrev L.

It's a McDonald's. However this McDonald's stands out by having a bad fly problem coupled with really, really bad service. The counter guy just stared into space, the employees are more into chatting with each other. Sucks. Probably better going through drive-thru.

  • Micah F.

Ok, so I don't know what it is about McDonald's in Nevada and Utah, but they suck. Do any of the people working at the Moab one not have teeth missing!? On to the food: Asked for extra cheese, no extra cheese. Coke is not mixed properly, getting hints of fruity punch beverage. Coke cup is not wiped when they hand it to you thru the drive thru window, so you can either wipe it yourself, or just have a sticky cup holder thanks to the toothless employee to lazy to wipe it for you that get's more coke on the outside of the cup then on the inside. Customer service please!!!

  • MrMrs G.

I know its fast food, but come on. The staff were unfriendly, no one greeted us with a hello in the drive thru and our food was dangled out the window before we pulled up. If I hadn't asked for napkins nobody would have even talked to us. Our biscuit was hard and the muffin was burned. For something they should have specialized in, they failed.

I stopped in McDs because it was "a quick in and out". I was very wrong. Very slow and seems very unorganized. There were some new employees being trained, I understand, but it felt like no one knew what they were doing. Regardless, you know what to expect when you go to McDonald's, as the food was McDonald's.

  • Ron G.

on the big billboards just outside of Moab: discover your favorite (small caps: bag of) ice. With 3 pictures of iced coffee, caramel frappe, strawberry banana smoothie. You might think one of the 3 drinks are $ 0.99 Wrong, it's the bag of ice!! If there are any kind of flavours in bags of ice!? I think it's sad a company like McDonalds has to draw customers like this. Big fat zero stars....

  • Graceypoo M.

They sell ice for 99 cents, says the ad outside. bathrooms were clean. they have free wifi. not sure how fresh my sausage with egg biscuit was... but it just tasted a little off.

  • Skylar A.

The restaurant its self is newer. The employees are awful, rude, and rush you. You feel like you are interfering with their day. I called them out on it and they all the sudden became nice. Yes it's fast food but this is a big pool of terrible employees ran by a dysfunctional manager. I'm telling you. Eat somewhere else. The 5 min visit can actually put a damper in your day.

  • Kaori M.

It's just McDonald's...but why did I give them 3 stars? You might think that I'm too generous. However, after being in the wilderness, junk food is super tasty. Probably because of lack of salt, sugar, caffeine, meat, and carb. McDonald's has all of them. It is not healthy. but they have the ingredients. Located near the wilderness, this McDonald's can get 3 stars.

This was my first visit to this McDonalds. My group was visiting from California, where we'd patronized a few different McDonalds franchises. We were drawn to this one by its modern facade. Upon entering we noticed the leather couches with a big screen TV. It was a great place to eat and get updates of recent sporting events. The line was sort of awkward. Everyone was standing around, but no one really seemed in a rush to order. Eventually, everyone seemed to start ordering Oreo McFlurries. As expected, they were delicious. There were some issues in the women's restroom. The toilet paper dispenser had serious issues. This was the tip of the iceberg. The water took several seconds to come out after placing one's hands under the faucet. Overall, the bathroom brought down the overall experience here. One interesting thing to note is that the franchise sells bags of ice for $0.99. Now, that's a great price, but we're wondering how it affects the local economy. I'm sure they are undercutting local ice purveyors. As someone from SF, I like to support local ice makers.

  • Yellow O.

I would give negative stars because of how despicable my experience was. To begin I unknowingly went in past lobby hours because the doors were unlocked. Before I could order my bag of ice an employee told me I had to use the drive in. I asked if I could just give them a dollar and get on my way because I did not have my car, but all the workers stood together to tell me again that I would have to go through the drive thru. So I gave in and walked outside to order in which they ignored me for 5 min. Overall bad service, no compassion, I was humiliated. I did finally get my ice.

Yes, it is McDonald's. Therefore there is no surprise of food. But, this is a great advantage you should take when you are on vacation in National Parks. From my dinning experiences in little towns around National Parks in Southern Utah, those non-fast food restaurants are generally way overpriced. DO NOT rely on reviews on Yelp. The food quality are mediocre or even pretty bad sometime. They are not like the food you will get in large cities with the price you paid. So my suggestion is that save your money and choose Subway, burgers or even gas stations. I know you probably don't mind spend 30-40 dollars per person on one meal, but do it when you are in metropolis. Therefore, even this is just a McDonald's and might not even be the best McDonald's you might dine in, I still give it four star for its value.

  • Krista F.

Went there to get McFlurries to go with our picnic lunch. This the most expensive McDonalds I have eaten at and they only fill your cup half full. I said something to them and they put a little more ice cream in but it still didn't reach anywhere near the top. I could have gone to a shop downtown and paid only a dollar more and for 3 times the shake!

  • Thai D.

Here's what you really need to know. They have a comfortable couch and a big screen tv for lounging. Otherwise, it's like any other McDonalds.

  • Matt G.

Couldn't review the food because they close at 10:00. What McDonald's closes when there are two events going on in the city. Doors weren't locked we walk in at 10:20 and were told that they closed 40 minutes ago. LAME!!!!

  • Rob M.

Nice people at the drive through. Didn't have large coffee cups and we had to pull over and wait for breakfast to be delivered to the car, but hey, it's McDonalds. Go somewhere local if you have the time! // Change to my rating: from 4 to 1 star. I was in a good mood and put up with the delays until I was driving away and noticed my coffee was only 2/3 full. A significant amount of my liquid wake-up was missing in the cup (mind u we had wanted larges... instead we got partially filled mediums). FAIL.
