This place was recommend by one of the guys at poison spider bike shop. After reading the reviews I was hesitant but 3 of us ate and all of us really liked the food and loved the price. I had the burger. It was huge and came with fries for 7.95 and it was great. My daughter had a chicken grande burrito for 8.95 and loved it but could only eat 1/2. The wife had taco salad and said it was really good Give it a try. I think you will be happy with it

Not sure about the negative reviews about this place. Could be they are from the busier season. We had a great experience, though it should be noted they weren't busy. The manager, Jeremy, served us. We ate on Taco Tuesday. We had the shredded beef tacos with rice and beans. Delicious. I would recommend their guacamole, which was fresh and tasty. Two plates, sodas, chips, salsa and guac were less than 20 bucks.

Salsa had no flavor and service sucked. Half the things on the menu are not available as server informed us there are new owners. Stay away.

Poor excuse for Mexican food. While Moab is not exactly a foodie destination, you would expect there would be at least one decent place to grab some Mexican. Yeah, not so much. After a long day of mountain biking, I really wanted a margarita and chips and salsa. We read that Hacienda had decent chips and salsa, so decided that we would take a chance even though the mediocre reviews were discouraging. We figured we would stick to the basic Mexican staples, like fajitas. We started out ordering queso. I was pretty stoked to see they had queso. Waitress came back shortly after us ordering to tell us they were out. Ugh. So, we then order guacamole. This was under-seasoned and mediocre. For entrees, we ordered the steak fajitas and the chili-changa. These were the absolute worst fajitas I have ever had. The meat was extremely overcooked, like to the point where some of the meat was inedible. The description claimed it was going to be strips of steak which is false. It didn't even come out on a sizzling fajita skillet, just a plate along with rice and beans. On top of that, it was flavorless. In addition, the veggies didn't taste fresh. The chili-changa was fine. It tasted like it was made with low quality ingredients. The highlight was the rice, which isn't saying much since it was not very good. I got very sick from this meal and my last day in Moab ended up being ruined. I wouldn't recommend this place if you actually want to make it out of the hotel room.

The hostess was rude to us, which right away threatened to ruin our dinner. The restaurant was at not even 50% capacity and she tried to seat us at the worst rickety table and chairs nearest to the front door instead of the main dining room, which is far more pleasantly decorated. When we pointed out the empty dining room she made a huffing sound like she was annoyed by our request to have a decent experience here. The chips and salsa came and were fresh. The guacamole tasted funky and is definitely not fresh. Sad when a Mexican restaurant can't get the basics right. I wanted to reserve judgment until the entrees came, but they were bland. I wish I had better news but this is barely a three star establishment. Giving three was generous. There's other Mexican restaurants on the main strip that I heard were far better. Wouldn't return here.

The staff were great, margs were delicious. The beans were great. Nice homemade salsa. We ate a combo plate with pork enchilada, chicken burrito and chile relleno..so good. Also fajita steak burrito. Will go there again. Chris

La Hacienda is on the same piece of property as The Inca Inn. So, while staying at the Inca Inn, we ended up here a couple of times between adventures. The food is good, especially for the price. It's stereotypical Americanized Mexican. But for what it is, they do it well. Their tamales are really good. But what I do like about La Hacienda is the service. One night they stayed open late just for me and my boyfriend. Always love that. We ended up talking to our server for a while. Since he was just waiting on us, he came and sat with us and we chatted for a while. Really supremely nice guy. It's nice making friends as you travel.

Probably the worst Mexican food my girlfriend and I have even eaten. The Grade Burrito was warm and the Seafood Chimmy was not cook all the way and we almost got sick in the middle of the night after that meal. The service also was terrible! We wait for over 10mins before they brought us water and then another 5mins before took our order. The food took for ever! Avoid go some where better

Visited Moab with the fam last month Drove down from SLC after brunch so we didn't get there until after lunch And hungry as a pack of wolves I guess getting in after the crowd was gone worked out in our favor since we were seated in less than 60 seconds and served our orders before we ran outta chips & salsa. Do wish I had a baseline to compare but fWiW everything was freshly prepared and no one complained the morning after so I can't find anything to whine about

I sadly write this review as this has been a restaurant we visit every single time we go to Moab. I don't know if management has changed or what but this last visit was just awful. The salsa was so bland I had to salt it. It was much more chunky then it used to be which I don't care for anyway but to top it off the tomatoes tasted like they were way to ripe when it was made. I always order the pork burrito with tomatillo sauce and have them put extra on it because it used to be sooo good. I ordered the same and this time it wasn't good at all. It had no flavor but on top of no flavor it was so hot I couldn't even eat it. I ended up opening the burrito and eating as much of the pork as I could without getting any sauce. The menu was new so I don't know what else they did....but it wasn't for the best. MAYBE it was just an off day....and I will give it ONE more try next time we are there but I am not too hopeful that that is the case. Sad.

La Hacienda.. You went DOWNhill fast since the last times I've been here. Ownership change happen? The tostado soup was salty, the salsa was watery & the carnitàs was flavorless, plus the fact my diet coke was $2.75. I am all for supporting mom & pop establishments, but this was ridiculous. I was hoping for a flavorful meal like I had the last few times I've been to Moab but got overpriced garbage. Sorry for the harshness, but it was a major let down as opposed to yesteryears. I won't be returning here anymore. Get your act together to avoid bad reviews like this one !

We found this restaurant by accident and were pleasantly surprised. The owner, John, who took over in November 2013, waited on us himself and was friendly and attentive. The meal was delicious, service quick, and you can't beat the prices for what you get.

  • Cassie R.

Steak fajitas were great, salsa was awesome and the staff was the most attentive of any restaurant I've ever been to. They even took the time to stop and play with my 2yo son when he was starting to get impatient and loud

After a full day of hiking, coming here did not hit the spot... Rice tasted like cardboard, fish in the fish tacos were like fish sticks, everything was fried 2x, they forgot one of our burritos, etcc.. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is that the waitress was incredibly nice. In fact, I feel bad not giving her more stars!

I am a Mexican food snob and I was honestly VERY surprised that I liked it as much as I did for being americanized mexican fare. I ordered the taquitos off the appetizer menu and asked for a side of rice and beans and the chicken was great, not too greasy, and very good! My hubby and my kids liked their dinner too! The service was good and attentive. Although there was a lady (hostess I think) who hovered oddly and turned away every time I noticed her peeking through the fake plants above our table to look at us? Maybe our chip bowl was low? We would eat here again if we ever visited Moab again...and you can get a full power beer which is apparently not that easy in Moab?

I ate there a few years ago, and the food was good - and was not sysco faire as you get in so many mexican restaurants.

Unless you like some extra protein with your meal avoid this place. Husband and I just arrived in Moab and had high hopes for some authentic delicious Mexican food. I read the reviews online and decided we could deal with slow service. The reviews were accurate they are too shorthanded to handle business. However the REAL problem was with the meal itself ....my husband was eating and enjoying his burrito and noticed a small dark object inside after eating over half of it. It turned out to be a beetle cooked into it. I called over the waiter and was very discreet since they had a full place. He did the right thing and apologized and took the meal off the bill. It did take over ten minutes to get our bill after the complaint which just adds to the aggravation when you just found a gross bug inside your meal.

  • Kristin T.

Do not eat here! We stopped here after reading a recommendation in a travel book and it has to be the saddest excuse for Mexican food. The service was horrible and super slow. The waiters wandered around like zombies and never attended to the full tables. I ordered the fish tacos which I have to say were the worst I had in my life! It was basically cut up fish sticks and a mountain of raw onions in a cold tortilla. The salsa was the only edible thing there. Even my husband, who always cleans his plate and mine, left food on his plate. While on vacation we love to splurge and eat out. I can't believe we wasted a meal on something so horrible. What a disappointment!

Moab now has several choices for Mexican. La Hacienda continues to be our favorite. OK, maybe it's not quite as innovative as Miguel's. But it's consistent, has a great diversity of menu choices and reasonably priced. We stopped in the night before Big Saturday at Easter Jeep Safari. We had expected to wait an hour, but got in right away. Three different menu choices, all were timely and perfect. Only downside was they were out of Dos Equis Amber. Sam Adams Cream Stout was a good alternative.

Wasn't impressed. We were sat in a dark corner of the dining room. The only words we heard from our waitress were "What would you like to drink?" and "Are you ready to order?" I didn't find her friendly at all, although I saw her being chatty with other diners. The chips and salsa were good. The first few bites of my chili-changa were good, but then the gobs of cheese inside became gross. I asked for no sour cream, I got sour cream, but no guacamole. The waitress never came to check on us, so I had to flag her down to get guacamole. I can get Mexican food like this in NYC. It was really nothing special.

Best table salsa that I have ever had! If you are looking for UT's "Best Margarita" Remember to finish the one before the other gets to the table. Also the Best Mexican food in Moab and you will find conveniently located as you are leaving town or arriving into town. Very friendly as well.

I'm just passing through Moab and La Hacienda was recommended to me by a local. I had the seafood chimichanga and I have to say that it may have been the best Mexican dinner that I have ever had anywhere in the USA. The flavor was fantastic and it even had real lobster. The taco chips and salsa were also fresh and spectacular. I wish I lived here so I could sample the rest of the menu. Five stars.

Traveling through Moad to see Arches Ntnl. Park and wanted some Mexican food for dinner...and the AAA travel book said it was cheap so we chose La Hacienda. I don't know what was up with the hostess lady -- either extremely bored or afflicted with an un-diagnosed social disorder -- but she wouldn't stop creeping around the front of the restaurant just STARING AT YOU. my girlfriend was facing her where she stood behind the entrance desk thingy, and invented a game where she would touch her fork every time the hostess would stare at her. We averaged it out: approx. every 8 seconds she would stare for 4 seconds. You try staring at a random stranger for 4 seconds. It's a long time! Definitely try the game out if she's there though. You'll know her when you see her. Aside from that special experience, our food was cheesy, filling, and tasty. The chips may have been a touch stale, but the salsa was yummy, and our waitress was cool and looked like Jane Lynch (crazy cheerleader coach from Glee). Oh and there are roughly 800,000 crosses of all styles lining the walls. It was certainly an interesting experience!

The first time I ate here it was the best mexican food I had ever had. Then again we had been Mtn Biking for 8 hours. The next couple of times I have eaten here it is as expected. Not great but not bad. Not overpriced but not cheap. Service takes a little longer than expected. I don't think you will be disappointed bit don't come here thinking there is nothing better.

Well I will agree with those that say MANY better options in Moab. Service was polite just very slow, the place was empty, they all stood around talking (probably shoulf have taken that as a clue for 6pm on a saturday night). Food is VERY plain, actually I am pretty sure the chicken is boiled and thrown in. The food isn't bad just not good, no flavor... If no flavor, bland Mexican with very slow but polite service is what your looking for try it out. If thats not it go to one of the many other great places in town...

We were hungry and didn't want more diner food - We ended up coming here to eat. The wait staff was friendly and service was pretty good. We weren't left waiting for our waiter at any point for anything, he came with chips and salsa almost right away, refills came in a timely fashion, the food we ordered came out nice and quick - service was excellent. The food was pretty good - Coming from San Diego it was nice to have decent mexican food (though were not really snobs about it). It was moderately priced and their portions were generous (though not huge). It was pretty tasty to eat and I'd say if you're in the mood for mexican - it's not a bad choice. The only thing that was not convenient about eating here was there parking lot was kinda weird. It was easier for us to park than to leave, but when we left we were quite happy and content.

The last time we ate here in 2010 the food and service were excellent. Tonight - not the same reaction. Our server seemed like she had just awakened from a Siesta, she seemed not with it.......My husband ordered the Taco/Enchilada Combo, the Taco Shell was straight from a box of Ortega Premade Taco Shells and stale to boot, beans and rice dried out. A friend had the Tostada Salad and the "homemade" shell was burnt to a crisp. The only redeeming food was my Shrimp Tacos (hold the rice and beans) and the Guacamole/Chips. Frankly, we were a bit embarrassed that we recommended the place. Could have been my perception, but it did not seem as clean as the last time we were there. There are some very good restaurants in Moab, this one fell short of our expectations.......

Great food, but slow service. Maybe slow because they are always packed tight. They need to expand this place a bit. Love the food after a hard day of riding the rocks in Moab.

We wanted Mexican food so we decided to go here after our long trip to the Arches. This place is pretty good I say. I ordered the carnitas plate, it came with two fresh tortillas. My wife ordered the Lobster enchiladas. I must say they gave her real lobsters and it was filled with them inside. My plate is very good and large portions. They gave us unlimited chips n salsa, which I think it was great. Service was good, they were busy on Friday nights. Overall if your in Moab, try this place out. We had a group of 7 and we all think it was pretty darn good. The price is fair, and the plates are large portion.

A friend and I ordered chili relleno plates, as usual. About halfway through the meal, we noticed an unusual texture to discover that the sauce had bits of pork floating around, which we do not eat. When we pointed out to the waitress that pork was not mentioned in the description of the dish on the menu, she informed us that pork was "traditional" on chile rellenos and refused any refund or substitution. Next time I'm in Moab, I'll be firing up the old camp stove.

First, let me take this opportunity to declare: Fuck You, Moab. I don't like your jerk-off name, I don't like your jerk-off main drag, and I don't like you. Jerk-off. All we needed was a place to grab some decent food before setting up camp for the night. Why not the local brew pub? Well, because there's a 30-minute wait on a Monday night, and we were handed one of those vibrating coasters that conjure too many remembrances of Olive Gardens past. But hey, there's a steak house up the road! Oh no, actually, it's a 25-dollar a plate "steak experience" restaurant. The rest of the "downtown" dining establishments are too inconsequential to even bother enumerating. You rich, x-treme sport-loving hippies are ruining America! Long, cranky story short, we end up at La Hacienda. Wait 20 minutes for a table. As a result have to set up camp in the dark. But before we did, got to scarf on some surprisingly decent carne asada and fried cod tacos. With ample chips & salsa. And a beer called "Polygamy Porter." I'm fairly certain that our waiter wasn't actually a waiter (my guess is he lost a bet and had to switch jobs with a friend for the evening, while said friend manned the Moab Mountain Bike and Marijuana Emporium), and we witnessed the total meltdown of a fat, angry British couple who I am certain will not return home with tales of the wondrous cuisine and competent waitstaff to be found in American restaurants. All in all, if you're forced to scramble for dinner in Moab, you can do far, far worse than La Ha.

Great food, fast service, clean, fun decor. Easy to miss as you drive into town (just past the fossil shop). The salsas were fresh and flavorful and the food reasonably priced. Close to Arches so an easy stop after a morning of hiking.

Best Mexican in town. Blows La Fiesta away. Locally owned and operated for over 25 years.

Tourist, Mexican decor. Not very good food or portions for the price. The margarita's were watery and overall not a good experience. There are better places to get mexican food in Moab.

Great food! Huge portions that seemend authentic Mexcian. Great prices and great locale. Go shooping for fossils before or after right next door. Take the whole family and an empty stomache to this great local Mexican Establishment.

I was surprised by the menu choices and the super friendly service here. The good came out fast and was quite good. It was pretty standard Mexican fare and probably won't blow you socks off, but I would say it's a good bet for a decent meal in Moab.

Mediocre food and friendly service. I prefer housemade chips and true verde sauce, and this restaurant had neither. The other customers seemed very satisfied. Did we order the wring items?

Food is good, plentiful, and pretty authentic. Help is attentive, though not overly pleasant. Price is good and location convenient. Eaten there last two times I've been to Moab, a year apart, and still consistent

Great lunch spot in Moab. Fast, friendly, and good lunch fare.

  • Taylor E.

After a long day on the road, a margarita and some chips sounded like the perfect introduction to Moab. Drinks come in a frosty mug, which is a nice touch, especially considering the 100 plus degree heat. The beer selection was solid, ranging from staples like corona to epic brewing out of salt lake. My friend ordered the Barbacoa tacos. They were slightly sweet, a preparation I had never encountered before that was nevertheless delicious! I ordered a burger that came with a huge helping of guacamole, onion rings, green chile, and a brioche bun. The wait staff was very attentive and the owner even stopped by our table to chat with us and see how the food was. The meal was completed with a healthy scoop of fried ice cream in a cornflake batter with caramel sauce and strawberries. La Hacienda is a great pit stop after a hot, long day in Moab. Highly recommend checking it out. Arrive hungry, because the portions are generous!

Meh... Good service, chips, and salsa. Everything else is nothing extraordinary. After sightseeing, it is a welcome respite but prepare to be underwhelmed with the so-so food.

    (3)
  • Eric M.

Not too bad, but not the consistency I was hoping for with the new ownership. The last few owners had let this great place loose its appeal. Hopefully people will continue to stop in and provide feedback...and more do that the owners will take that and make some changes as needed. As they have already done with the addition of a lunch menu!! Great! The salsa was just average...tasted a bit like Herdez salsa. I ordered the barbacoa tacos on corn tortillas. The portion size was amazing, but they were a little heavy on the sweetness....scale that back a bit and it would be just right. Soft corn tacos needed a second tortilla to keep it together. One bite and they fell apart. Simple thing to make it better and keep the people coming back.

Great food! We had the chicken fajita burrito, it had a very good sauce, lots of veggies and chicken breast. The meal also came with a side salad. Lots of food, very reasonable cost.

How refreshing to find a wonderful restaurant in Moab that cares about the quality of their food! The shrimp enchiladas are so tasty and the portions are huge. Another benefit is the owners are in the kitchen and out front and make you feel welcome. A sure bet for a great meal. Margaritas are perfect!

The food is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere, cleanliness, service, and fair prices will make this restaurant a regular stop whenever I am in town!

  • Joseph P.

This slightly rundown-looking place is easy to miss - sandwiched between a cheap motel and a trailer park or something. The interior is much nicer. It has a quite limited menu (i.e. no chilies rellanos, carne asada, etc) compared to the versions in the flyers readily available around town. What items it does have, however, are very good. We had the chicken enchiladas and barbacoa burrito. Both were especially good, and almost too big. You could easily share either one by ordering an appetizer. They are both a bit pricey ($13-14), but this is an expensive little town. Staff/owners are very friendly and helpful.

  • Tracy C.

Great lunch place after a morning of hiking in the Arches. Highly recommend. They have a new ownership and a brand new lunch menu. I would definitely come back here. We had a party of 8 and service was great!

  • Jake T.

Great atmosphere and the owners are great to talk to and very accommodating. They have typical mexican food but also some other stuff you wouldn't usually see if you want to go out on a limb. If you need a challenge they also have a 5 pound burrito that is insane and tastes good at the same time you get a t-shirt and your picture on the wall. I personally challenge you.

  • Melissa W.

The service was awesome, everyone was so kind and made sure we liked our meals. They also special ordered our enchiladas because we didn't like mushrooms. The owner/chef guy came by, super genuine and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our food. Portion sizes were good for the price and so was the margarita (even though it was only Utah strong). Only on a road trip through, but I'd stop in again!

Shrimp tacos and veggie burrito were large and terrific, very fair price. Service was excellent, polite and attentive. Very much recommend. There are some bad reviews, but they are now under new ownership and doing a great job.

  • Amber F.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about-we stopped in here after hiking Needles & Arches all day. The food was excellent-portion sizes are very large. We had DFT Tacos and a chicken fajita burrito and both were great. Good chips & salsa. The restaurant was busy so some of the servers seemed a little frazzled but nothing serious, our food was out very quickly.

  • Jared B.

This place used to be a great place, and maybe it still is, but all three of us were disappointed. First of all, it took nearly an hour to receive our food. Yes, it was Friday night, but it is also November in Moab and it was not that busy. I had a two enchilada combo, and the cheese one was quite good, but I did not like the mole one. It was bitter and almost tasted burned, but is possibly just a different preparation. (I always love trying different mole sauces when on the menu.) My traveling companions ordered the seafood chimi to share, and there was hardly any seafood in it. They were both very disappointed, although our waiter did give them a small discount. Had he not given the discount this would have been a 2-star review!

  • Ryan B.

Apparently this place is recently under new ownership, my wife and I stopped in for quick bite (had not been their before). The food & drinks were great, the personnel were excellent, really did their best for us. Not to mention, they were funny as heck to talk to! Wish them all the success they deserve!

    (5)
  • Robb S.

So, to be short & frank, and I really do not to enjoy writing a negative review. However, Banquet "mexican's" better, for 99 cents on your grocer's freezer. The margarita's were heavy on the lemon note, the wife's tostada, was mediocre. My burrito was ho hum, the kid's French fries tasted like old warm white bread, which is a flavor that would seem out of style for any Mexican joint. I would have expected a note of corn tortilla infused (from the fryer oil). But there are positives, the chip's were good, but the wife thinks the salsa came from "New York City" The servers were actually good, and one asked us if we liked the mid day margarita, and we gave her the lemony feedback

  • Nadia C.

We came there for a few drinks, since we chose a different place to eat. The waiter came every 5 minutes to ask if we wanted to order food.....he was very loud talking with other customers and talked about his long work day. Not something I have to endure on my little getaway, will not go there again. Thanks for spoiling my fun

  • Josué C.

Chicken enchiladas were amazing! Great place. New owner/chef came by and talked to us after and he was great too. Everyone really enjoyed their dinner and it really hit the spot after a long day at arches. So good that we might come back before we leave town. Definitely check it out if you are in Moab. Again, it's under new ownership so check it out if you haven't visited since last year.

  • Marlyn M.

After hours of exploring Arches we wanted nothing more than Mexican food and lots of rice and beans. I had the tuna tacos and they were delicious. We were happy we stopped at La Hacienda. The service was outstanding. It was almost closing time and the chef/owner came out of the kitchen and sat next to us to chat for a few minutes. We really appreciated that even after a long day in the kitchen he took the time to ask how the food and service was. The Hacienda's new owner is bringing back to life a locally owned restaurant that after years of being a local favorite ended up with a bad rep. Give it a try, it will not disappoint you.

    (5)
  • Jason B.

The new owners have done a fantastic job with this restaurant, The food is excellent and the portions are big. The margaritas are out of this world. The staff and the owners themselves are a hoot and come around and are willing to chat with you and are very friendly and funny! I highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning on my future trips to Moab Utah.

I loved the food! I had ahi tacos and they were delicious and perfectly cooked with some kind of delicious wasabi dressing. Very reasonably priced. My husband had a LARGE burrito with salad on the side which had spicy ranch dressing which was delicious. Service was kind and working hard as they were very busy. I think people are just discovering the great here because of the new owners. My favorite Mexican Restaurant in Moab.

The new owners are doing it right. Six of us went here for dinner last night and had a very enjoyable meal. My hubby had the sweet pork tacos and I had the Monterey Cream Chicken Enchiladas...YUMMY! Both were very good. Portions were perfect size, food nice and hot, all perfectly seasoned. We both had the house margarita, which is only Utah strong, but it was good. I would recommend the Cadillac instead, which the rest of our group had, that was very good. We will back to enjoy more of their delish food on the menu. If in Moab, give this place a try, they were busy but it wasn't crazy, made for a nice evening out.

Perfectly seasoned food and excellent service. Family friendly and very clean restaurant. Very large portions and good prices. Locally owned. Jenny waited on our table and John is the chef. Both are fantastic.

Have been waiting for 10 minutes to be seated, and was completely ignored by the hostess and the waiter. Apparently they were too busy to even acknowledge I was waiting, so I left. I did not saw them serving food and everybody in the restaurant was waiting, eating chips and salsa. I'm not sure if it was so bad being ignored...

I had dinner here and was very happy that I did. There are reviews listed from months and years ago but La Hacienda is under new ownership and has only been operating under the new owners for two weeks. The owners are entrepreneurs and have done a magnificent job with the place. The decor and ambiance are wonderful and the midday margaritas were just like I make them at home in my bar. The chips were fresh and tasty, the salsa was fresh and good, not great, but definitely enjoyable. I ordered the chili verde burrito and was delighted at the unique taste. It had plenty of chunks of pork and was spiced just right. The plate came with a salad with their house dressing that was delicious, seemed like a cross between a ranch and cilantro dressing. I will definitely go back.

The people in my party seemed to really like the service and food. It was an ok experience for me. Food was ok. Service was ok. I've just had much better Mexican food at other places. I also found it pricey.

Bueno. We had dinner there tonight. Ingredients were fresh and well prepared. Santa Anna Ahi was excellent. Toquitto ap was a meal. Salsa is diced veggies, the way I like it.

Don't pay attention to the review by Vida A. We all read it before we reluctantly strolled in here on New Year's Day. Salsa with no flavor? How is that even possible? They must be really bad here... Or they must just have regular salsa that tastes totally fine. Yeah. It's actually that. The salsa was fine. The service was very good, too. Our guy's name was Jordan. Not sure who Vida A. had when he went. Wasn't Jordan. Jordan was a good guy. I keep writing his name to emphasize this in case you decide to come here. Ask for Jordan. Tell him Yelp sent you. It might be weird... but do it anyway. Because it did, if you're reading this and then you go. Why hide your inspirations? Join me in a chant, please. Jordan! Jordan! Jordan! Jor-dan! Jor-dan! JOR-DAN! JOR-DAN! JORRRRDANNN!!! There is a combo meal that consists of two burritos. Order this if you are a fat person. Otherwise, order a meal for a normal adult human.

My boyfriend and I were driving back home to Phoenix after going to Arches and decided to give this place a try. The place looked really cute. The hostess sat us and brought us our water right away. It was around 3 pm in the afternoon and there was only one other couple in the place. After about 10 minutes our waiter comes and waits on us. There is a small, reasonably priced lunch menu but we ordered from the regular menu. The prices were very high, especially for mediocre food. The sign out front said under new management. I think they still need to get new management.

mediocre to bad food and undrinkable margaritas. the ambiance is cute, big booths, nice staff, big menu. but our group of five were all underwhelmed , and nobody could drink their margaritas they were so sweet and watered down. maybe if you've never had Mexican food in your life, this might impress you. otherwise skip it.

Great food and great service. I requested to taste the red and green sauce so I cpuld.make my decision on my burrito, they happily and quickly complied. We ordered the fajita burrito and the Carne asada burrito, both were excelent. The portions were big! We had multiple servers that were very attentive and pleasant.

NASTY JAZZ. I'll not even go into the back story of why we were in Moab (a place I usually avoid like the plague, having known it before it turned into what it is today). Someone in our party was celebrating a milestone birthday and wanted Mexican food. We went here. It was, start to finish, awful. AWFUL. We had a large party and our food took a really long time. It was explained that the cook had burnt a couple of the kid's taquito meals, yet was still steadfastly determined to have the plates out ALL at the same time. So, many of our plates had obviously been in the warmer for 15 minutes or longer, losing any texture or sauciness they might have had. At least that might have killed the majority of the food-illness causing bacteria in the not-to-temp beans and rice!! Flavorless salsa no better than the kind you find next to the tostitos in the grocery store. If it's homemade, they should kill the cook. The waiter was nice but he obviously knew what we were in for, as he kept pushing basket after basket of chips at us in a hopeless attempt to make up for the fact that the food is disgusting. The carnitas were like baby food. I thought I was playing it safe by ordering the "chili-changa", a soft chili relleno wrapped in a tortilla and fried like a chimichanga, But no, the tortilla they used was so huge, and the relleno so hopelessly small, all I ended up with was a partially fried doughy, empty tortilla next to some burnt refried beans and cold rice. The man and I had gastrointestinal issues all night long. Good thing it was windy up at Dead Horse point, and that there is a restroom! Seriously, avoid this place. You will get sick. Gross, gross, gross.

Had the Veracruz. The enchilada sauce was excellent as was the rest of the meal. The shrimp was as good as I have ever tasted. The service was very good and the food came quickly.

Service was slow on a Tuesday afternoon. Restaurant opens at 11:30 but they weren't really set up to serve then. Took about 20 min to get our food. I had the fajita salad, no tortilla and that was decent. My husband had tacos since it was taco Tuesday. They didn't have chicken for some reason and he said it was not so great tacos because they tasted like Taco Bell tacos. I don't think I would come back. He was also yelling at his wife or whoever in the kitchen. It just made me feel awkward, even if it was light hearted and joking.

Some of the best Mexican I've ever had. I loved the chimichangas. The salsa was terrible though; surprised the food would be so good with such bad salsa.

Good food...huge servings! John (owner) waited in us and started a but in the weeds for late on a Thursday but everyone was ok. House margaritas are good but we upgraded to Patron. Not great, but good.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
