We found this charming Mediterranean Fusion restaurant near where we were staying. We enjoyed the good-quality food and the relaxing ambience. We started with Dolmades which was very flavorful but the pita was store-bought and cold. The stuffed eggplant and Turkish chicken kabab were exquisite. We enjoyed the dinner very much at Devran's.

Delicious food and nice to have something different. Loved the pita and dip. We had moussaka and lentil soup and the beet salad. Nice atmosphere and our waiter was cute.

Very good food, very nice staff. Even though we arrived late and only 35 minutes from close they never rushed us and with a few minor exceptions were able to craft a fine dining experience for us. Loved the pita with caper paste and olive oil, a new dish for me. Had a very nice shish kabob entree and my wife loved the goat.

Fantastic dinner experience! The chicken kebab was truly cooked to perfection: charred on the outside and yet so moist and tender on the inside.. The kofte is seasoned really well. Most of all the rice was cooked in a soup that adds a savory flavor to it. I compare it to the best Mediterranean restaurants I've been to. The only regret I have is that the restaurant seems to have a lot of flies around here (during labor day weekend). But again, it seems to be a common problem in moab restaurants. Because of that I have to reluctantly deduct one star.

My favorite spot during our entire hiking trip through Utah. This was by far the best food we had. If I could I would have gone back and tried everything else on the menu in addition to what I ordered the first time. The Haydari was the best. So refreshing after a day of hiking. The tabbuli was addicting. The sweet pumpkin wasn't as good as I thought it would be. And we also had the ottoman salad and were huge fans. The place was pretty big and they have a cute back patio seating area that was nice. And they are open pretty late compared to the other restaurants in the area!

The food we got was delicious (we got the kebab and the kofte) but I am taking a star off for the lack of organization. They ran out of the baba ganoush and several other things on the menu. The very unique and delicious pears for desert were topped with freezer burned ice cream. I hope these organizational issues get fixed because the food is truly special.

This may have been the strangest Mediterranean food I have ever consumed. Everything about our dinner was just a tad...off. The free caper dip was nice but the pita was cold. The tuna tartar was tasty (spicy oil on the plate was a nice touch) but the avocado on top of the fish was way too big. Why not make this the same size as the tuna so it's easier to enjoy them together? The Kofte was seasoned well but a little too dry. I ordered the Chef's special tri tip kebob and was asked how I wanted it cooked. The meat came out to be well done, not the "medium" I requested, but I can look past that no problem. This would have been a great dish if it didn't completely smothered in a thick gravy sauce that tasted straight out of a can. Why oh why ruin a good meat dish with cheap gravy? I just don't understand the thought process here. We ordered unsweet tea. Ten minutes later the waitress came back and said they were out. It would have taken me less than ten minutes to make ice tea out of Nestle tea bags.

This is a good place with good environment, But unfortunately, overpriced for small amount of food! The Turkish people who work here are amazing and nice people... but there was one staff (a lady who was not Turkish) who was not!

All 7 of us stood in a line and slow clapped the kitchen after our meal. Few times in life I've been this satisfied. I would have paid twice as much for how fresh and original everything was, the lamb kebab, shank, chicken kebab, as well as the appetizers: Mediterranean salsa, mucver, garlic shrimp were phenomenal, tuna tartare, zucchini pancakes, everything. One block west of center.

#1: This restaurant does NOT serve beer, wine or spirits. Contrary to the yelp listing, there is no alcohol on the menu of any kind. #2: The appetizers were good, but they were "out" of at least one that we wanted. The hummus, baba ghanoush, and cucumber dip were very nice. #3: We ordered five dishes: two chicken shish kebab, a lamb shank, stuffed eggplant, and the keffteh. The lamb order was not even put in and we had to wait and wait for it. The chicken was dangerously undercooked; we had to send it back and the owner tried to blame it bizarrely on the server, who was new. The lamb tasted boiled and had little flavor, and when I asked for some kind of tzaziki or other sauce, the server looked at me like I had three heads (as I said, he was new). I said never mind. The only thing that was really good was the stuffed eggplant. The owner later sent the server out to apologize for the chicken (which never ended up quite cooked; very little was eaten), take one meal off the bill and offer us free dessert. We declined and high tailed it out. I'm sorry to say I can't recommend this restaurant in any way. It's been a long time since I've been so disappointed by a restaurant selection.

This was great!!! The sevice was excellent, and the food was delicious. They were not busy but they just opened for dinner. Would most definitely go back again. Waitress was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. Only set back to the experience if you eat outside there are a lot of fly's.

This a hidden gem!!! Their fresh pita bread with fresh oregano oil (very original) is a pleasant welcome. I had hummus- one could taste it was just made! I also had a tuna tartar, it was served on a bed of avocado and greens with tasty and refreshing dressing. Fresh fresh fresh is screaming from the plate.

I ate here the other night with my wife. Honestly, I think this is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants i have ever tried in America, and I have dined at many places in New York and Los Angeles. It is certainly the nicest place in Moab. The dishes do not stand out on their own for being exceptionally exotic. Instead they are expertly prepared and use high quality ingredients. Gabe was our waiter and he was polite, personable and knowledgeable about the cuisine. The decor is really tasteful; it gives a hint of the cuisine without being overbearing or standing out from the vibe of Moab. Try this place!

  • C M.

We had two meals, the lamb kabob and the salmon. The lamb was great, worthy of five stars. The salmon was cold and uncooked throughout, despite requesting it cooked through when ordering. Sent it back for Some extra cooking, came back about the same. That was a one star dish. Put them together and you get three stars. Also, they don't serve alcohol

  • Julie K.

Perfectly mediocre. No liquor license. The yogurt dip with walnuts and caper dipping sauce were good. The chicken kabab was good. The eggplant was meh, not very flavorful. The hamburger (with lamb) was not kid approved, very thick and not spherical. The tri tip kabob was ok, but the gravy on it didn't seem homemade. The food was generally bland. Haven't found great good in Moab. This place wasn't it either.

By chance we discovered this restaurant when searching for places to eat in Moab. It was a pleasant surprise. Very nice ambience, wonderful, friendly staff but best of all some of the most delcious Turkish food we've had in the states. The Babaganoush was amazing! For the main coarse we had the lamb chops...cooked to perfection. We highly recommend Dervran's.

    (5)
  • John C.

Food was very good, but they had almost none when we came by. It was a Saturday night and they were out of 1/2 the dishes, had no deserts, and unlike their description they don't have a liquor license. Disappointing.

Devran's was delicious!! I would definitely recommend this place as a wonderful choice in Moab. The restaurant is a little off the main track but worth the venture. Everything was delicious. We had great meal there. The service was attentive but no intrusive. I would be happy to eat the meal there again . I would absolutely recommend this place.

Devran's is Moab's only Mediterranean restaurant. As of April, 2014, it's called Aristo's. So look for a sign that says Aristo's instead of "Devran." The cool thing about this restaurant is that it's not on the main road. It's off behind somewhere. That made it feel like it's special and hidden. Is it really a Mediterranean Restaurant? I don't know. The cuisine seems authentic enough. Although they played your Latin and Indian hits on the radio. So it got me confused. After you order, they give you some complimentary pita and olive oil. The pita bread was good. It was nice, fluffy and fresh. I could just eat those and be happy. To start, we tried the grilled calamari appetizers. They tasted great. They grilled the squids well. I liked the caperberry sauce and the black olive paste. The grilled onions on top gave it a nice, balanced texture. I had the Turkish Kofte for my entree. It's basically a beef and lamb ground beef. It had decent flavor to it. I liked the spices they used. The Shepherd Salad tasted good. I could've done without the yogurt it came with. The salad itself had enough spices to have decent flavor. But I think a lot of people will like the yogurt on the salad since I'm not a fan of yogurt due to my lactose intolerance. I also had a taste of the lamb chops. It was another solid dish. The thyme was quite strong, but it didn't overpower it. I also liked the cracked wheat pilaf. Considering all the restaurants I ate at Moab, this is probably my favorite. I suggest you guys to check it out.

We finally gave up and left. Strike one--- took 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge that we sat down. Strike two-- lost their liquor license, no vino Strike three-- we ordered tuna tartar and calamari to start. Then, after waiting 10 minutes, were told they didn't have those dishes, because they were still FROZEN!! We were done

We stayed at the Red Rock Lodge across the street from Devran's and were looking for a good place to eat with my parents. Since my dad has trouble hearing, we were looking for a quieter place - after a walk down the block, we turned around and headed to Devran's since it was pretty empty. We got a seat on the patio and it was very cute. They did not have their liquor license, so drinks were not an option. The hummus was good; nothing all that special. The main dishes were delicious and filling- the Turkish Kofte, stuffed eggplant, and kebabs were all a hit around the table. Service was okay- not overly friendly but water was always promptly refilled, etc. Overall, would be back when we stay in Moab again!

I hate giving a one star grade. I do it only when I believe with all my heart a place truly deserves it. It means they served me shitty food, in a bad setting and practiced a very poor costumer service. This place has it all. We came in after reading the rave reviews (friends of the owner I must ask?) We were a bit taken back by the back street and empty restaurant. A few steps away we had the main street with people standing in line for a table in other restaurants enjoying their food as well as colorful people watching, and here...three, four tables are full, and three restaurant employees looks stressed and gloomy although the restaurant is almost empty. we should have turned back, but reviews insisted to get in and sit. The service was really bad. The server with blond hair looks like she has no idea what she's doing there. Cups of warm water were served to us, and weren't filled up without us asking for it. Our food went to a different table (only four tables are full in the whole restaurant how can you confuse the orders?) then I guess the food traveled around the world, or at least the restaurant because it arrived to our table COMPLETELY cold. We asked to heat up our food. The man (maybe owner?) said: "it's impossible your food is cold - I just took it off the grill" I invited him to touch my food with his bare hand to realize it is indeed cold. Not warm - COLD. later he brought the food after warming and told us the story of our food's odyssey between tables. I was about to say - I thought you just took it off the grill, but I just left the issue. Finally we got our food back and it's ...well warm. We taste it and understand this evening in this restaurant is a complete and unarguably a disaster. My husbands chops are completely dry and very very very well done. No juice left in them, no seasoning in them, no life in this plate. Next to these miserable chops is a very small pile of rice with a few pieces of vegetables in it. The veggies are obviously the frozen veggies kind. My plate even a bigger disaster. They took an eggplant and manged to butcher it to a no recognized shape or taste. Only the skin is what left of it and with it its bitter taste. Next to the sad eggplant is the same pile of sad rice/frozen veggies. on top of it is some ground beef with no seasoning, or taste. No flavors. no seasonings, no shape. really bad. On top of that the table has the smell and look of a table that was cleaned just recently with a very dirty/ full of bacteria cloth. I do hope for you that you never had to experience that smell of dirty cloth. It leaves a very distinguished smell and marks of the dirty cloth on the table (see picture attached). On top of the smell, the bad food, the bad location, and bad service...when we left unhappy the server told us: "have a good evening...or not" Well we went to a nearby bar, had a few drinks, ate some comfort food and had a blast! Ha, yes, I forgot...on top of it all they don't serve alchohol.

We stopped by thid Mediterranean restaurant after we visited the Arches NP, upon the recommendation from our hotel staff. The place is located on the back street of the Main Street, and thus has quitter dining environment and more secluded privacy after entering the private entrance. There was indoor and outdoor seating areas, and we selected the outdoors as the weather was quite good at the twilight time. We ordered the grilled Calamari ($14.95) as appetizer. The looks of the dish was quite good, but could use more cook time as the calamari tasted kind of raw. The Turkish Kofle (Mixed beef and Lamb, $18.5) and Grilled Salmon ($14.75) were both OK. All the dishes were served with beautiful looking though. Nice to try if you are in this area next time.

Really good Turkish food in Moab. They even had halal meat! Portions were somewhat small. Prices and service were good.

I had the chicken kabob and my wife had kofti (ground beef patties). Both were fresh and came with a side salad and pita bread. The decor and service were both very nice. An unexpected gem and undoubtedly the best Mediterranean restaurant in southern Utah.

  • Iver M.

Tucked just off main-street this beautiful Mediterranean gem could convert even the heaviest carnivore into a hummus-craving babaganoosh-addict. Although I admit it's hard to say if these tasty spreads would have been enjoyed had it not been for the freshly baked cloud like pita bread they were served with. I kid you not... my girlfriend had to physically restrain me from rubbing these delicately divine edible pillows against my cheek, the texture was just so.......... Anyway, along with their mouth-watering selection of veggies, yogurt spreads, and dips they also have a taste bud dazzling array of meat stuff. My friend got the aromatic honey marinated lamb chops which were as much a party for the nose as they were for the taste buds. Now normally I don't even like salt distracting from lamb's natural taste, but in this case the slightly sweet marinade was subtle enough to perfectly boost the chops natural taste- excellent dish. Most importantly though --the tuna tartar "appetizer"-- which could have satisfied an entire village of sushi lovers. A fat ice cream scoop sized tuna tar tar mound, topped with half a hass avocado, plated and decorated beautifully. This COULD have made my entire experience 5 star, even if I got served burnt oatmeal as my main...but then I took my first bite. THIS SUCCULAND MOUNF OF TENDER FISH CHUNKS AND BUTTERY AVOCADO WAS HOPELESSLY DROWNED IN LEMON JUICE! .... of course I still wolfed down the entire plate like Kobayashi at a hot dog competition, but the faces I was making the whole time brought me back to my warhead scarfing days under the monkey bars. I was actually upset, to the point that I wanted to throw something non-violent at the chef for turning such a beautiful dish into a sour struggle... but saner heads prevailed. I accept that it was likely a one time mistake...

No nonsense review of the 3 items I tried on my first visit to Moab: 1) Babagannush (7.50), good, but Fresh-off-the-icebox cold pita (or bread of any kind for that matter), served in a $$ restaurant is unacceptable! 2) Turkish Kofti (18.50), well seasoned tomato-based stew of small lamb patties were good, But the chunks of beef were dry and tough - nothing special. 3) Mediterranean Salad (9.20), very fresh baby lettuce mix - olive oil, lemon juice and 2 quarter-sized goat cheese. Very oily and lacks seasoning. Service was good.

Nice ambience, very friendly staff, excellent turkish food with a hint of Levante. We came late at around nine and were immediately greeted and served. Good recommendations on the vegetarian options. Nice courtyard for a lush mediterranean summer night

Placed a to-go order on my way through MOAB from Arizona, steak kabob (chef special) was god damn delicious. Pita was thick and extremely soft and mushrooms were fresh. 5/5 for sure

  • Kathryn-Chris C.

Best food in Moab by far! Get all of the appetizers and the lamb kebab and you will want to go back the next day. I wish I could rate this 6 stars. So much win!

  • Mark N.

Who might of expected this gem in Moab? I went here based on Yelp reviews, and was not the least disappointed. One block west of the main drag in town, it's worth getting to. The food was beautiful in both appearance and taste. Service was excellent and the ambiance pleasing. I ordered the Turkish Chicken Kabob and my wife ordered the burger. We shared and both were excellent. The Kabob came with a rice pilaf that was simply excellent. The burger comes with fries, no wait, these aren't just fries... They are potato wedges, seasoned perfectly. Though it was too late for me to try a Turkish Coffee, I'm dying to go back for that and also the desert I was too full to try. Stay away from the chains and immerse yourself in this middle eastern delight!

  • Kathrin S.

Excellent and authentic turkish food. Lovley place to sit in or outside. Fair and ressonable pricing. Very good service. No alcohol (as in the most places in Utah).

    (5)
  • Rich S.

Possibly spoiled by great Turkish food this might be to harsh a review... First of all the hummus was served as 4 scoops covered in a balsamic vinaigrette. For me this is not a good way to judge quality hummus because the flavor is overpowered. Great hummus is served with some tahini and nothing else. Instead of pita with the hummus we had pieces of bread which was surprising since it is supposed to come with pita. The Chefs Special kebab was ordered by my wife and I had the chicken kebab. The chefs special kebab was ok, meat was tough and some pieces were hard to cut (wasn't served a steak knife). The special sauce was similar to a gravy like sauce. The chicken kebab was ok as well however the chicken could have had more seasoning. All in all, Devran's is a decent option in Moab, if you are looking for something outside of burgers and fries.

  • Deborah B.

Totally underwhelmed. Caprese salad came with some other kind of cheese- not mozzarella. The rice pilaf was basmati rice. They didn't have bread. Lame. Mediocre food. Over priced.

    (1)
  • Chris I.

They don't serve beer and wine, like their website advertises, because they have not yet secured a liquor license. My goat cheese and arugula salad didn't come with goat cheese. When I asked about it I was told they were out of goat cheese and offered me feta - I don't eat cow dairy, that's why I ordered a salad with goat cheese, so I skipped the cheese completely. Other than those 2 disappointments, the food was good. I had the lamb chops over rice - it was excellent. The olive oil and capers for dipping pita triangles in was addictive. The atmosphere was lovely. Will I be back? Who knows, I am just visiting from SoCal for 2 days, then on to Salt Lake.

Asked if they serve halal meat.....no one had a clue what halal means. Hmmmmm one has to wonder.

    (1)
  • Tatiana S.

We went here last week. They do not have a liquor license contrary to some reports. The place was awful. We had calamari that was not edible- 3 of us tried it. The pita bread is served cold and wasn't good anyway. Even the hummus was bad! And it isn't cheap- you pay a lot for this bad food!! Then we had to go get takeout from another restaurant to get a decent meal.

    (1)
  • Shari W.

Everything seemed nice at the time. No alcohol as noted in Yelp though. However chicken gave us food poisoning.

    (2)
  • Bridget S.

All their advertisements, not to mention Yelp's description, say they serve liquor, but don't be fooled. They have nothing. When asked what they did have to drink, they said they had coke products. That was it. The restaurant had a musty smell when you walked in that never went away. The prices were reasonable, but food was really mediocre. It is hard to believe the positive reviews, maybe friends of the owners? Lamp chops were flavorless, the stuffed eggplant was stuffed full of basic hamburger, completely lacking in flavor. Rice? Equally flavorless. Arugula salad with goat cheese was delivered with jack cheese instead without anyone mentioning they were out of goat cheese. While Moab is not exactly a dining mecca, there are many better places than this one.

Our night started out here well and ended just OK. We had very attentive service and really great food. The Sausage hummus appetizer and complimentary flat bread were exceptional. Everyone's meals were very good, my favorite was the special kabab, a tri-tip steak kabab. As our dinner progressed, our attentive service decreased to the point of aggravation. The icing on the cake was the manner in which they "split" our check. The server randomly charged the cards given her for random plates. Some in our party were charged as much as 35 while others 12 with no reason. Overall awesome food, not awesome service. We'll try again next year.

  • Rick B.

Best restaurant in Moab. If you want a drink, go somewhere else first - liquor license is "in progress" but they are not getting much cooperation according to the owners. The meal was delicious and the service impeccable. The Kofte was the best eggplant my wife has ever had. I had the chefs special and it was done perfectly. We totally enjoyed our early dinner here and will be back next time we get to Moab.

  • Debbie M.

Amazing food, atmosphere, and service!!! The stone work, architecture, and decor inside and out are awesome! The complimentary pita bread with olive oil/capers/olive dip is fantastic!! The pita bread is perfectly soft and warm. The caprisse appetizer was fantastic, perfect! I got a red lentil soup and the Turkish kofte, both were awesome! The begendi was my favorite part of the entree - it is mashed eggplant. Sooo good! My dad got the lamb chop which was done perfectly. My mom got the stuffed eggplant, which was a bit plain but cooked well. This is an amazing place, we wished we lived nearby!

Like the location, just a block off Main Street so it's quiet. The room was interesting and very clean. Service was very slow, odd, because it was about 6pm on a week night. The servers were very pleasant. The food was average, except for the grilled calamari salad, that was fresh and delicious.

  • Jeremy R.

2 apps 2 entrees, 1 great dinner for a family of four. The hummus was perfect. The chicken kabab was expertly grilled. Don't know if I'll be back to Moab, but this restaurant was a great find!

  • Mike A.

Maybe we were there on an off night. The food was great but the service was terrible inspite of three servers basically standing around talking. It took about 15 minutes to place our order and an hour before the food arrived. Others waited longer after being given menus but there was no follow up to take orders and once they were placed it took forever for food or followup service. The restaurant has great potential but clearly there are management problems. Time to call in Robert Erwin and the Restaurant Impossible team.......

Amazing chicken kabobs. We asked for some veggies on the side and they accommodated gratefully. The baklava was the absolute best we had ever had. Lovely outdoor setting and over-the-top great and humble service.

Yummy oasis in the Southwest desert of Utah! The restaurant is an old house. Quaint from the outside with a clean and modern design inside. Relaxing atmosphere. Just one street behind the touristy shops on Main Street. Loved the pita bread and herbed oil that is brought out before the meal service. My daughters enjoyed the chicken kebabs (enough to share) and I had the Turkish Kofte. The meat was flavorful and the begendi won me over. Too full for dessert, darn it!

  • Craig A.

Truly excellent Turkish food - just like in Turkey! But in Moab! The restaurant was crowded; the ambience was nice; and the service was very attentive. Likewise I do not know where the bad reviews came from. Very good place to take the family.

  • Loleeta P.

Very authentic Mediterranean flavors! If you are unsure of what you like, split a couple dishes with a friend. Very worth going off the beaten path. Friendly and attentive staff. Not sure where the bad reviews came from unless you are expecting bland "Greek" food, as this was delicious. Will definitely come back.

Loved it! Charming place. Visited with friends. Very nice service - polite, courteous, cheerful. Excellent food - every dish was excellent. Loved the milk pudding dessert that was on the house. They were great with our two seven year olds as well.

We ate here based upon the great reviews. Party of five, two adults and three teenage kids. Nice to see that there's an option like this in Moab. But I have to admit we came away slightly disappointed. Started off with a Mediterranean salad. It was fine but not memorable. The entrees we ordered were kabobs and came out on oversized plates which accentuated the portion sizes which were on the smaller side. (My teenage 16 year old went to Subway and got a foot long after - but then he's a growing boy!) Two of the servings were a bit overdone - I know Kabobs are roasted over a grill but it's therefore important to keep an eye on it so this doesn't happen. Service was fine - but I have no idea if they even have wine or beer because no one mentioned it as an option or asked if we wanted any. Not as good as it could be.

Wonderful dinner with healthy food. Salads are gorgeous and every dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and a lot of attention to subtle flavor balances. Some items might be a little spicy but never overwhelming. On top of this, service was top notch and very efficient. Welcome to Mediterranean nirvana!

Bet food in Moab. Awesome. Been in town a week. We hit all the yelp highlights. This was by far the best. Oh, and they have alcohol now.

Food was delicious. I had the tuna tartar and the Athena salad, my partner has the salmon. All were yummy yummy!!! Portions are just right, you will have no left overs here! Bad news: Our food came out a separate times- my dishes came out a good 20 minutes before my partners... And we waited a while to get our bill, even though there weren't a lot of people. Other than that, great.

Such an amazing find! This place only opened a few weeks ago and it's located off the main road - actually parallel to it from centre road. We are just staying on town for one night and wanted to eat something healthy and really tasty. Wow wow wow. If you have t been here you must go!! The babaganoush dip with the bread is out of this world. My husband had the chef kebab special and I had the stuffed eggplant. Super delicious both . The best place we have eaten at since Vegas!

What an unexpected experience in Moab! My husband and I were exhausted from hiking but wanted something different from burgers and regular tourist fare. We started with lentil soup & the pumpkin appetizer. Both perfectly seasoned & delicious! We had the Ottoman salad, hearty but light, large portions. We split the dessert pear, an unanticipated delight, a delightful end to an excellent meal! And the server Devran was friendly, helpful, and provided perfect service. Will return!!

Delicious turkish cuisine! The kofte and lamb chops were exquisite! Would like to have this kind of place in my neighborhood. We need to support this business it s like traveling to Istanbul! Moab inhabitant are lucky to have such a great place.

Had a satisfying meal at this new restaurant just off Main Street. The hummus appetizer tasted very fresh and the Ottoman salad was well-mixed with the smooth vinaigrette. The main courses were good, especially the lamb chops. Servers were very attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasant.

I was very underwhelmed with my experience at this restaurant. I don't like giving bad reviews but we paid a premium price for mediocre food. I was very hopeful but when I spotted the obviously frozen bits of carrots, peas & beans in the rice, which wasn't even luke-warm, it took me over the edge. I ordered the most expensive item on the menu the 'special' kabob, which was made with steak. The meat was tough and stringy and for $21, a total rip-off. There was rice under the 'steak' pieces along with an unidentified food that was similar to a bland stuffing. I had no idea what this dish was and since my son works in a mediterranean restaurant ( a good one) in the city, it's not like I'm unfamiliar with the potential cuisine. The Babaganoosh was unidentifiable compared to other experiences I've had with it. My daughter had the chicken 'kabob' and neither of us could tell if the chicken was actually completely cooked. Again, I'm sorry to give a bad review but I spent $50 on a very unsatisfying meal and I will not give this spot a second chance. I don't want to throw good money after bad.

I rarely leave reviews but this restaurant was like a breath of fresh air in between the fast Mexican food and greasy BBQ onion ring places in Moab.We stopped here with hubby for when they just opened at 4pm. The host was professional serving ware clean and the restaurant is elegant and romantic. We had the lamb/beef kofta and chicken kebab and cucumber yoghurt appetizer. The food was delicious and light on your stomach and authentic!Sometimes easy does it:-)Highly recommend! (They don't serve alcohol just in case that was a surprise)

This was seriously one of the best meals I've ever had. Order anything on the menu and you'll be happy. My one disappointment was that they didn't have their liquor license yet so we couldn't order wine. I will be going back for more as often as I can.

This is my favorite place to eat in Moab. When you have had all the noise and commotion you can handle, go here. They are off the Main Street and have both indoor and outdoor seating. Decor inside is very nice and the patio is wonderful. I have eaten dinner here three times this summer and been very pleased. They obviously have a real chef in the kitchen. The food, service, and ambiance are all excellent with one exception. I did not find the mouse pie to be up to the same standards as the other dishes. Try the shish kabob!

What was nice about this restaurant besides the very delicious food is the fact that it's off the busy main street through town. It's quiet with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. This is well worth a stop for dinner especially if you are tired of the usual Moab restaurants.

We had an excellent dinner: this restaurant offers a choice of truly refined meals and a special menu for kids, the food is delicious but a bit rich, the waiters mindful. In brief I greatly recommend this place to anyone who loves good Mediterranean cuisine!

While it is good that they are trying to do something different in Moab the dishes were way too oily. The food was swimming in oil which in turn upset my stomach. While I love oil it was too much. If it weren't for the excessive oil the dishes were good. The pita should also be toasted. The tabouli was good. Still probably one of the better restaurants in Moab from what I can tell.

Went here after our mountain biking trip. We sat outside. Very impressed that after finding out we were gluten-free our server brought us rice crackers with our appetizers!

Presentation is excellent the dishes are hybrid Mediterranean wish they would get their liquor license other wise place is a rare find on a back street.Be brave have a bunch of appetizers instead of a main course ourselves Wait staff very helpful. The pear makes great dessert

I created this account in order to write this review; the food was THAT GOOD. The restaurant is a block off Main Street, making it (apparently) easy for walk-ins. This was arguably better Turkish food than I had in Turkey. The babaganoush was the best I've ever tasted, and the freshness of the eggplant was obvious. Also recommend the stuffed eggplant and the lamb chops. All three of us that ate here left raving about the food and grabbed business cards on the way out. Definitely give it a try!

The Food here was Amazing!!! Everything we ordered was fresh & tasted so awesome. We had the Chef Kabob, Turkish chicken kabob & hummus and this red cabbage yogurt dip. I'm so happy we came here. The Chef was our waiter so we learned a lot about Devran. This restaurant is a rare find in Moab!!

Wow, what a great find! Fast service. Delicious flavorful food. Happy waiter and waitress reasonable prices. Nice decor. What's not to love about this place! Went back the very next day. Don't skip the Pear dessert - amazing!

Hidden Gem. Parallel to Moab's main route, we were very glad we found Devran. Excellent Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. We tried three appetizers and the kabobs for dinner; all authentic and amazing. Loved the "blue" cole slaw and all the salads in particular. Fresh, clean and such a nice break from burger and taco joints.

I had been to this place after seeing the glowing reviews on Yelp. I love Mediterranean food and have tried it at enough places to know what it really tastes like. This place has a good ambiance. No issues on that front. But it was completely empty by the time I entered. It was a premonition. But I ignored it with a benefit of doubt since I entered at closing time. Ordered the soup of the day (cilantro soup). It was way too salty. There was no soup on this mother earth that I had in my 31 years of existence that was so salty. I asked the waiter to get that checked. He takes it back and come returns with a more thinner variant of the same soup. (Just added water to the earlier one). I could still taste its saltiness. Moving on. Babaganoush. Ordered this based on reviews again. This was the only saving grace. It comes with roasted peppers mixed into it. Thats a good twist to the usual stuff. Then came the chicken kebab plate. This was a real nightmare. The meat was not really cooked thru. It was raw in many places. The best part of the Mediterranean cuisine to me is the spices they add to get the taste. This kebab had close to no spices on it whatsoever. A few traces of oregano that I could see. Thats it. The most bland kebab I've ever had. This came with rice and yogurt those were barely eatable. My initial request to try making things spicy also met with a curt response: "The chef doesn't like any changes to the dishes. I can give you Tabasco and you make it spicy" Though this is usually the case with most restaurants, the response could be lot more pleasing than this one. Not expecting a Michelin start treatment but simple courtesy goes a long way. All in all, I went in with great expectations considering my respect for Mediterranean food and the liking towards that. But I was completely disappointed. My first and last visit here. Would have given a Zero star if yelp allowed me to.

This place is terrific. Really. The first night we intended to eat there, but we changed our minds when we saw only one couple at a table. Two nights later we actually went in, and I'm glad we did. This restaurant is very comfortable and clean. The service was extraordinary, the lentil soup was the best I ever had, and the entrée (I forget the Turkish name) was excellent. When my wife and I walked out, we commented that if this restaurant was located on the main street instead of one block off, it would be filled with customers. If your experience is anything like ours, you'll enjoy your dinner very much. Devran's Mediterranean Restaurant earned 5 stars this evening.

A taste of Istanbul in Moab! Every bite was outstanding from the lamb to the eggplant to the Turkish coffee with imported "Delights". We stopped here after a long drive from Flagstaff.

The mozzarella cheese in the caprese salad was not the best, but the main courses were incredible. Overall a good meal choice.

After reading the reviews for this place, I was really hoping for a winner. They were able to easily accommodate our party of 12, but our waitress was so rude. Maybe she was ticked off that we had 8 children with us, I don't know. We started the meal with a delicious Caprese salad and calamari, but my beet salad was soggy and not very tasty. The men in the group ordered the chef's burger and it was SO small!!! It looked like a kid's menu burger! The chicken kabobs were also bland and boring. So the food was not impressive at all, but the worst part was the waitress. She came across as irritated we were there, and acted like we should be thankful she was serving us. That's so tacky. We'll never go back to this place.

Devran takes great care of his restaurant. This is an excellent restaurant, with beautiful decore and an excellent atmosphere. The Turkish dishes and the chef's dessert creations are fantastic. My wife had an eggplant dish, and I had a Turkish meat dish with a side salad. The front of the restaurant says Arestos. It's a wonderful spot, with good food. Try it!

This restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, and we came across it quite accidentally. What a fabulous place! The ambiance is upscale, very pretty decor. But decor is not the main reason to go to a restaurant. The food was fabulous. I had the stuffed eggplant, my husband had the hamburger, Middle Eastern style. We both really enjoyed our meals. And the presentation was gorgeous. We kept asking what others near us were having, it all looked so pretty. It is not your typical Mediterranean restaurant as it has Turkish and some Greek dishes. And it's not a restaurant you would expect in an outdoorsy town like Moab.

Good for Moab. Tucked one block off the main street. Portions are modest, so you will need both a starter or two and a main course. Lamb chops were quite good, a little sweet. Stuffed eggplant was ok, served with a labne that tasted more like sour cream. Yogurt soup was v good. Salad was disappointing. One quirk, which I did not discount for was they are a bit stingy with the commercial pita. Would go again if quality remains, next time I am in Moab.

Another terrific restaurant for Moab, Turkish Mediterranean! We sampled the Sigara Borek, tangy, salty Feta cheese rolled up inside crispy phyllo dough, with a dollup of yogurt on top. For entrees we ordered the lamp chops, tender, juicy and cooked to perfection served with a warm orzo/barley side and the chicken kebab, (served in a mound, not on a skewer) also very tender, moist inside and grilled with just the right amount of spice on the outside, also served w/warm orzo salad side. The chilled chocolate mousse for dessert was decadent & dense. They are working on the liquor license, so be patient if that is important to you, but the food is worth the trip!! Service was attentive, friendly & interactive, which makes the experience fun, we will be back!

KnOnce again yelp reviewers did not disappoint. Ate at this charming restaurant tonight. One block west of visitor's center. They are in the process of changing the name from Artemus? To Devrin's . Nice ambiance, friendly servers, yummy food. No alcohol because no license yet. We split the arugula salad (very good) and had the chicken kebab & stuffed eggplant. Both cooked to perfection with a rice side, yogurt & doll up of yum. Entrees were priced from $12 to $18. Salad was $9. Good sized portions. Delicious sesame rolls with olive oil/herb. We would go again if we were in town.

This is the best Mediterranean food I've had outside Europe. The babaganosh was very flavorful. We also found the kafte was wonderful-- excellent spicing. We ate in the courtyard--very pleasant atmosphere. The staff was extremely attentive. Moab is lucky to have attracted such an excellent restaurant.

Great food and great service. Babaganush (spelling unsure) was the best; yoghurt soup (hot) was very tasty; and chicken kebab plate was tender and juicy. We tried red wine poached pear and rice pudding for dessert---- yummy!

Superb. A little oasis in the tourist traps of Moab. We sat in a lovely courtyard. Great, friendly service. Food was terrific, pitta bread and authentic hummus and delicious Baba ghanoush to start with. Our main courses were beautifully presented and tasted absolutely superb. Ending with deep dark Turkish coffee - a big contrast to American coffee. It's just off the main drag. Go.

Sorry to spoil all the good reviews, but this place is way too expensive for very small portions of underwhelming food. Very polite staff gets it one star above the lowest rating.

LOVE this place - we had looked at the previous reviews and decided to give it a try. The reviews were spot on. It is still called Devran's and serves excellent Turkish/Mediterranean food. I had the Turkish Kefta - loved the eggplant side (forget the actual name). The hummus was great as was the dip they served with the pita bread. Too bad it will be a rarity for us to be in Moab but if we ever come through again, we'll definitely go back to Devran's.

we came to this restaurant 3 weeks ago...., not impressed with the food as I have tried much better Mediterranean food in some other places. I would have called this place.. "fusion". This is not a children friendly place.., there is no kids menu; food is very spicy and tough to make selections for kids

Some of the most delicious food I had in ages... the service was perfect, absolutely no flaw. We really enjoyed the oven eggplant, but you could hardly go wrong at this place. Outdoor seating was supernice as well. The manager came to check up on us... just a wonderful experience.

Devran's is the only authentic Turkish food in Utah. You should try Köfte, the taste will stay with you for a while. I grew up with Turkish food, my girlfriend loves it too. She told me that Devran's köfte was better than the ones we had in Turkey. They also have the friendliest wait staff. They haven't acquired their liquor license yet, keep that in mind. Once they do, I will go back to enjoy some Raki and köfte again.

We are so glad we found this restaurant on tripadvisor, where it had great reviews. Our visit was wonderful: Very friendly and fast service, DELICIOUS food (we had kofte, stuffed eggplant, chicken kebap, the kid's plate, and babaganoush, and all was outstanding), very tasteful décor, and very reasonable prices. Just perfect!

We just had an amazing dinner at Devran's. Everything was delicious, especially the ahi appetizer, chicken kabob and stuffed eggplant. Finished off with a yum Turkish coffee.

We were in Moab to visit two national parks, Arches and Canyonlands. If you are looking for a quiet restaurant with good food and we definitely recommend Devran's. My wife had Stuffed Egg Plant and I had lamb chops. Service was prompt, food came out quickly and they were delicious. Unfortunately they don't serve any alcoholic beverages; no wine, no beer, nothing. It would been much better if we had wine to go with food; but nonetheless, service was great and food was excellent.

We go to Moab quite often and Mediterranean cuisine is my fav. So imagine my surprise and delight to happen across this quaint little restaurant. The staff was so polite and very friendly. So accommodating too. Our server Oleg was the best!! One of the kindest people I've ever met. About the food... I can't say enough to describe the flavor explosion in my mouth when I tasted each item we ordered. I've never had Turkish Pita, and I must say, it was so tasty, dipped in their special olive oil. That's the complimentary appetizer. Our next (appetizer) was the Babanoosh. WOW is all I can say about that! I had the Chicken Kabob with rice. I was NOT disappointed. It was delicious! My husband had the burger. It was a very unique and flavorful experience, made with a fresh beef/lamb Pattie served with big fat fries. And what a better way to end a delicious meal than with their desserts! We ordered the Chocolate Mousse Cake and the Fresh Pear in Wine. Both were amazing! The pear was topped with Turkish cotton candy. What a treat! We are looking forward to trying everything on their menu, so we will definitely be going back!
