Haven't been in for a while. Went here and had a great experience. I ordered an oreo concrete and loved it. Maybe they take forever when I order food. I came here because the bountiful location currently doesn't take credit cards. I was worried I would have a horrible experience but I didn't. They were fast and nice and I am glad I came.

Bought 2 pints today ftom Btfl store and while the texture was custardy the flavor was off. Both chocolate and vanilla tasted weak but the worst thing was they tasted old...very old. Not worth buying today. Sad because I've had good products before. Actually, this was my first visit back since I saw an unsanitary situation a couple years ago and now with the bad tasting custard from today I think I'll skip Nielson's in Btfl. The drive thru gal was super friendly and efficient.

Happy Nielsen's Friday! Not so much for us... We just barely got home from ordering our favorites, two concretes, one -- Cherry Chocolate Chip and the other a Chocolate Peanut Butter with Cookie Dough. And to our misfortune... BOTH under the rim. Now, I understand that it's Friday night and it's a busy night... But we dish out thirteen bucks almost EVERY weekend and this isn't the first time we've seen these results. But it will be the last. We don't mind paying thirteen dollars for a well put together signature over the rim Nielsen's concrete... But it is too much for the inconsistent inch under the rim even when MELTED concretes we have been getting. It really is a shame because we have been faithful Nielsen's customers for years. Concretes are our favorite treats. Maybe it is a new standard, but I doubt it considering the Highland, Bountiful, Las Vegas, St. George (yes, we have been to each of them) still serve to "higher" standards. The taste is there, but please let us know when you are serving above the rim again. Today is a sad day...

We have made it a tradition to stop here when we're in town visiting family. The concretes are very good. The Bountiful store is also good, but we usually go to this location because they accept debit/credit cards. I've never tried any of the other menu items.

'Concretes' which are essentially milkshakes made with custard are AMAZING. All other food is typical diner/fast food quality, but for ice cream it's the best in Utah. Don't expect amazing service - always a rotating cast of H.S. kids. TIP: they have a drive-through which is preferably on weekends as it gets very busy.

Only one word is necessary to describe this place: delicious! The wait sometimes is longer than you'd expect for a small ice cream shop, but it's well worth it.

Frozen custard was awesome. I had the chocolate custard with cookie dough. The cookie dough is actual cookie dough not those prepackaged cookie dough balls. So good!

We just had the custard and are pleased to say it was wonderful! My nephew got the concrete and it didn't come out with the rest of the order but it was the holiday and there were only two workers so no worries on that front. I will say that inside the location it is very loud and you can't have much of a conversation without yelling. It is not a romantic. Date-night scene. When the custard machines are running it is even more difficult to hear. I have never eaten anything but the custard at Nielsen's. I go there for the custard! So rich and creamy... Yum!

The best frozen custard ever, I had the strawberry and cheesecake double topper- you would never think of real smooth cheesecakes bites in every bite you take but there is, the strawberries were nice and sweet in its own sugar syrup with vanilla custard. Simplest treats oh so amazing like two desserts in one! Excellent. Hubby had his double topper also chocolate custard- with brownie he was in heaven. Son had his classic single topper with Oreos didn't hear any word out of his mouth the whole time enjoying. And last but not least mom had chocolate custard with strawberries. Divine. Grabbed a menu they cater. Sandwich are 8 in very decent prices, next trip were going to try. Cuse they have burgers and hotdogs too. 5 pointer out of this world Service was good too youngsters were polite and professional Fantastic place. Bravo Nielsens!

Love the Nielson's in Bountiful. Kind is disappointed when we visited the Layton store. Shouldn't they be the same? Hamburgers didn't have any flavor. Weird cause we eat at the Bountiful store on occasion and always love it.

Nielsen's Frozen Custard is simple put, the creamiest heavenly treat made on this planet! I have eaten concretes since I was a kid and I refuse to pass up ANY chance to get a treat here. My personal favorite I'd the Bear Lake Fresh Raspberry Concrete (which is custard whipped with fresh raspberries until it is SOLID and it takes 2 people to eat one). Gotta try one. Best $5 ever spent and worth every calorie!!! (the fries ain't bad either)
