Eh... Clean but the food is average (which is to be expected for Denny's). Just out for a fun day with the kids and it is an easy place to grab food.

This Denny's had nice waitresses and hostesses, nice pricing etc. I ordered the Bacon Avocado Burrito. Everything BUT the Avocado was good enough. I was actually picking out the avocado that was obviously not ripe. It tasted bitter and disgusting. They should have told me, "Sorry ma'am, we don't have any ripe avocados, can we prepare you something else?" instead of serving me that. It was horrible. All other Dennys I've been to were decent.

What can I say about this oft visited place? It's Dennys. They serve food. And drinks. They have a kids eat free day twice a week (Saturdays and Tuesday if my memory is right). They give my 10 month old free Goldfish crackers. Free refills on hot chocolate and coffee, which is usually what we go for. Or because staring at the wall in our house for the past 4 hours got boring and our pocketbook only stretches so far. Though the apple crisp if made right can be pretty delicious. I don't really have much to say about the food. I've tried a lot on the menu and I don't have a favorite. Except for the old standby, seasoned fries and ranch dressing. The service... I get that Dennys probably isn't the greatest place to work, but some could at least try and pretend.

I guess they do have some crackheads in Utah...I never really realized. They all seem to hang out at this Denny's. You know there are some of us who just like to stay up late have to pick up someone who comes in on the Amtrak train in SLC at 4am. Not all of us have taken something that keeps us up all night. Ok I might be a little hard on them but there are not really many places you can go that are open 24 hours a day in Utah. When you get super late or really early in the morning 70 percent of the state is always going to be asleep. The two times we came here the service was horrible. The first time there were tons of teens that might have gotten out of school or a football game and the waiter could not keep up. I give him some credit for trying but he could really not do it himself. The second time we visited here our waiter was either sick or he was on something. I am not saying this to be dramatic...I really do mean just what I said. I guess with the late night he could have been really, really tired but who knows. There are other restaurants in the area that are open late...I would always choose anyone else over this Denny's location. Sorry Denny's...you know I love you. :0)

I was disappointed with my last trip here. Our waitress wasn't paying much attention to us, and spent most of our visit chatting with the other staff members. She was singing and goofing around, instead of taking care of us. When we sat down, our table was unclean and a little sticky. Our silver ware was filthy and had dried food on them. Since our server wasn't paying attention, I had to steal some utensils from the next table over to actually eat my food. Definitely a big let down.

Amazing to learn that Denny's has lighter menu options. Today I enjoyed a gluten free muffin and egg white on veggie omelette. This is a very large, clean Denny's. It lacks the old tired look of so many roadside late night restaurants. We will come back here to listen to mu60's music and eat gluten free.

The food this last time was terrible! The portions didn't fill the plate. Nor did they look like the pictures. There was plenty of grease on the plate though if you want a quick way to earn yourself a heart attack and bad skin. The service seems to be hot and miss. My daughters and I used to go often but it had been a while since we went. I wish their skillets were still good like they used to be. Two stars because of the price and because of the kids eat free.

The food was good but the service was not!! We waited 45 minutes for our food. It is understandable that sometimes they are a little busier than others but the waitress never even came over to apologize or to explain. When the waitress did come over she almost seemed bothered to be at work. We had to ask for more utensils because they only gave 3 sets for four people and one of the sets had food all over the knife. I don't expect Dennys to be high class but I have never had such a poor service before. I won't be going to this location again.

I always get the grand slamwich with seasoned fries. Always tastes great. Today was really good especially because we had a great waitress. She made us a special sauce for our fries. It was so good :) I believe her name was marlana.

It had good food but horrible costumer service, we waited 30 minutes to get our drinks. Our waitress was attending other people who came after us, and they already had their food, although we were waiting almost 1 hour for our food. I know, it gets busy but she was ignoring us. So we just walked away and left her with her food. We are never going back there again.

Breakfast at midnight - Awesome. Waiting an hour for a stack of pancakes - not awesome. I've been here quite often, and I think I'll call this visit a fluke. Usually things run pretty smoothly, but it was obvious that not all was well. I even got to witness a waitress freak out & storm out of the building. Our waiter was unapologetic about the long wait & when asked about the wait, he said he'd go check... which he didn't do. The food was good, but not good enough to make me forget the lackadaisical service. I'll go back, but I'm a bit more skeptical about this place now.

At about 3:00pm, on 10-18-13, a group of us came to this Dennys because it is near the Davis Convention Center. Because of the convention we were attending, we were all in costume. We were greeted rather nicely, but our server was not good at all. She seemed put out by the fact that she had to wait on us. Everyone but me ordered drinks which took about ten minutes, despite the fact that the restaurant was dead. I ordered a hot tea when the food orders were placed and did not get it until well after the food was brought out. The waitress also looked extremely annoyed when a couple of us only ordered drinks, but did not order food. Also, one of our party ordered an appetizer, which got brought out with her food. I was watching the waitress much of the time because I was waiting for my drink and she slowly walked around talking to the other guests. This was not the pace or demeanor of someone who was busy or slammed (if you know what to look for, or if you've been in the business before, you can usually tell when a server is busy, and I will take that into account), yet when a few of us mentioned a little loudly that the service was slow, she said that she was really busy (besides our table there were only 2 two top tables and someone at the counter in the whole restaurant). If one server cannot properly handle a small handful of guests, she should not be on the floor by herself and put in the position to fail herself, the guests, and her company. Not only will she lose out on the tips, but the company will lose out on repeat business and good word of mouth recommendations. Though looking at the other comments on this place, it seems that poor service seems to be the standard here, not the exception. I think the fastest we saw our waitress move was when we got up and went to the register because we wanted to leave and we hadn't gotten our check. We did see the manager on occasion, but I didn't see him touch base with any tables including our own, though he did say hi as we were paying because he was there, but never asked about our experience. The food was decent for a Denny's, and they do keep the place nice and clean, but honestly I will not be back, nor will I recommend this Denny's to anyone.
