Excellent location and view from the top of Suncrest development. Very convenient for the locals for a quick stop for the basics and a great meal! Excellent hamburger, salad, pizza and other chef specials!!! Would definitely recommend.

Not bad for a first experience! I recently went here with my in laws and it was pretty good! The service was slow, but the food did not disappoint. My father in law recommended the Ridge burger and backed it as "The Best Burger in Salt Lake", so naturally I had to see for my self. My wife kept it casual and ordered the nachos. The burger was near gourmet! The bun, the patty, the sauce, the melted cheese and the bacon were awesome! I was pretty impressed, although the bottom bun was a little soggy, as if it had been sitting for a while. (Soggy bun and all), it was very good. Now Is it the "Best Burger in Salt Lake", I don't know about that, but I sure won't argue with the father in law about it. So we'll go ahead and say it's definitely in the top 5! Now for the nachos, what a spread! They were super good and was enough to be my wife's main course and allow for 3 others to pick off her plate. I'd recommend getting a round of nachos for any occasion. 4 stars for a first time experience is my take. Could possibly be 5 stars if the service was better. I ordered food first in our party and was the last to get served. Even other tables who were seated and ordered after me got their food first. We had to ask the waitress two different times about the status of our food. I would like to see a little hussle from the staff next time. Especially since this place isn't just around the corner from much, we traveled far to come eat here.

This place makes living on the top of the mountain worth it. The food quality is better than any place in Draper. The ambience is absolutely top notch and I try to find excuses to go out of my way and eat here. If you do special diets or demand meals exactly your way, you're missing out big time. You could be enjoying an awesome meal in a great place. Also, their Bloody Mary's are phenomenal. Go to there. Go to there now.

This is a great little place atop Suncrest. I used to be a homeowner in suncrest, so it was exciting to see a well done establishment here. The atmosphere is an A+, it has such a great little vibe in here. Outdoor seating, twinkling lights, modern garage doors that open up bringing the inside to the outside, beautiful views and clean. Food was good. I appreciated the cashier being versed in gluten free. Take note, you pay before you sit. I ordered a breakfast hash that was OK. Guests had a sandwich and the waffle and really liked it. Food was fresh. There was a high wait time to receive it, but I didn't mind because it was a fresh meal in a lovely atmosphere. They have the freestyle coke machine, starbucks and a bar. We will definitely try this place again

My favorite local restaurant. Great food - the pizza is awesome as are the fish and chips. And a must stop for Sunday morning breakfast. One of the few places you can enjoy a glass of wine on the patio with mountain views.

This place is great. Beautiful views, terrific food, good drinks and great staff. I had the spaghetti Bolognese which was delicious and full of meat. The meatballs were perfectly sized and delicious. The dessert of the pan cooked cookie with ice cream was also very good with the cookie being just the right amount of chewiness. My fiancée had the fish and chips, the fish was perfectly fried and prepared and the fries were very good as well. Our group of 6 had no problem finding seats however I think that was partially due to good timing of our arrival as it got quite busy after we arrived. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we all agreed that we would be returning in the future. There was however one thing that kept them from getting a five star review. As a place that is supposed to be known for its wine selection having the entire red wine selection being sold out was very disappointing. Also one of the members in our group was not able to have the margarita she ordered because they were also out of triple sec. We will be going back however to try this place again so hopefully these issues will be addressed and if so I will update my review.

My second time here. Hands down one of the coolest places to eat or just have a drink. They had a great singer playing which added to the evening. The fish and chips were perfect and tons of fries to go with them.

The food was so good. The bread is dense but also light. Everyone loved their breakfasts. Would be awesome if they served Mimosas. The mountain views are amazing, even covered with snow. They serve Starbucks coffee and I wish I'd have saved room for something from the dessert menu. They looked so good. They have a little grocery, higher-end, and cute. The staff was attentive and helpful.

We're back to a 1...they keep sending out pizza that's burned to a crisp. We also had to wait 45 minutes because they 'forgot' to make it. They also smothered my salad in some dressing that was different than I ordered.

Great please to eat pizza or grab a hot chocolate or a Starbucks. Super clean, friendly people, easy to park. It has a market inside in case you need eggs or a beverage. Up to date and just an all around cool place to chill.

The food was delicious. The people were extremely friendly. We would definitely return. My husband had the breakfast burrito. It was huge! He said it was the best he's ever had. I had the classic breakfast (my usual) and it was very good. We will definitely go back. We have been back and the waffles? Go just for those. So. Delicious.

When we went, this place had been open for a couple weeks so I'm sure some kinks have been worked out. Here's what I liked: 1. Friendly service. We were there at 7am and were met with plenty of cheery smiles. They were very sweet to my kids. 2. Gorgeous space. The location overlooks salt lake valley with an entire wall of windows (that open in warm weather to accommodate outdoor seating). The ambiance was reminiscent of the polish we used to see in Palo Alto restaurants when we lived there. 3. Clean facilities and tables. Here's what it lacked: 1. Coordinated plating. Our meals came out at very staggered times. My waffle took 20 minutes. I'm going to chalk that up to opening kinks. 2. Lackluster plates. I ordered the waffle and guess what it came with? Just a waffle! I had to ask for butter and syrup. 3. Small portions. Husband ordered the breakfast burrito. It was very delicious, but about 1/3 the size of what he was expecting. 4. Heinous menu. The design of the space is gorgeous, but the logo and menu were phoned in to put it nicely. The menu is too busy and the logo is overwrought with "special effects". Here's what would make this a 4-5 experience: 1. Simpler design with the logo and menu. 2. More added value. Add a fruit cup and whipped cream to the waffle and charge a dollar more! The food is good, just add more perceived value by including sides or making larger portions. Increase the cost of menu items, If needed. Make the $$ worth it! I plan on giving this place another shot soon, I hope it stays around for a while. I love having food options closer to home.

The view up there is amazing and they have outdoor seating which is great. They have good oven baked pizza. My wife got pasta which was also really great. Our friend got their breakfast which she loved. Great ambiance in general. Place was well kept and clean.

I ordered traditional breakfast, just feel that it could have been better... Also had a chance to try Gordon blue and it was much tastier

If you're anywhere near the south end of the valley, as the winter inversion sets in, The Ridge is worth a drive up the hill to get out of the smog and away from the glare and boring frozen sameness of chain restaurants. Excellent casual dining at the top of South Moutain. Whether a simple two-egg breakfast, eggs benedict brunch or casual dinner, my experience at The Ridge has been wonderful. Family-friendly, quiet and comfortable with freshly made food, and quality ingredients and very reasonable prices. (The photos accompanying the listing as I write the review do not do the restaurant justice. There is a small section of convenience items behind a wall but the dining area and kitchen are flanked on one side with a wall of windows. The decor is rustic country cafe, very warm and the kitchen is equipped with a pizza oven that is a work of art.)

Our first visit to The Ridge several weeks ago was positive. Tasty thin crust pizza, nice views and helpful staff. We live in Draper and were excited to find another good option nearby. Today my wife, son and I went again and had a disturbing experience. We stood in line for quite some time waiting to order (here you order your food, take a number and they deliver it to your table). Knowing the food was so good last time, we were ok with the wait. I was happy to see that as the line grew, what looked like the head chef (crisp white chef shirt) came to take our order at the register. Then the wheels came off. We wanted to order several pizzas to eat at the restaurant and one to go. The chef told us that this was not possible. We suggested splitting the order and paying for the to go pizza separately. We were told this was also not possible. We were somewhat miffed at this point, but proceed to order all pizzas to stay. The chef struggled a bit to get the first two pizzas entered into the order device, but finally got it. Then I ordered a pizza without cheese. This, apparently, is way out of bounds. The chef, in a frustrated tone said, "we can't do that". At this point my patience was gone and I told him we'd be leaving. Then the chef backed away from the counter and, as he turned to go back to the kitchen told us to "get the @#$% out". My wife and son and I were stunned at this treatment. We exited and got in our car to head to another, more friendly place. But as we were about to leave I felt I just had to go in and tell the owner about this chef's behavior. I entered the restaurant again (at my own risk) and asked one of the staff if I could talk to the owner. I was shocked when he pointed to the "chef" who had just sworn at us. Needless to say, we won't be back. While we had hoped for this place to succeed to have another dining option in the area, I can't say the same anymore.

Great to have a market & cafe/restaurant in our backyard in Suncrest. The interior of this place is beautiful. I love the outdoor seating; even on a cool fall morning a cup of coffee outside was perfect. The menu is small but fits perfectly for what most people will need. I'm looking forward to trying the lunch/dinner menu. I came for breakfast and each item on the table was freshly prepared and tasted great. The freshly brewed Starbucks was a nice touch as well. The market itself is well stocked. Good selection of items with some fresh produce. Prices were convenience store like and reasonable but a few items were head scratchers like a pint of B&J's ice cream for $6.69. Can't wait to try the pizza and burgers!

Great local spot. Food is always fresh, tasty and unique. Upscale at reasonable prices. I come once a week and have tried lots on the menu. It's all been great. Worth the drive to the top of Suncrest.

We have been to this place two times in the last week. Once for breakfast and again last night for dinner. The food is good and the staff is friendly. As we were leaving, the chef came up to us to introduce himself and chat a bit. He is really nice and has a great sense of humor. So happy to have this neighborhood restaurant and market. It will definitely become a regular spot for us.

I love this place... The pizza is authentic Italy style- thin crust but not too thin where it breaks, just enough spices, not over splurged in tomato sauce and just very flavorful and filing!!! Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead 5 stars- They only have small 16 inches pizza and don't have large than that...

I was pretty unimpressed. I ordered a cobb salad with balsamic dressing and a side of bread sticks. First I waited about 10 minutes longer than my dinner companion to receive my salad. When it arrived it was drenched in italian dressing and no bread sticks. I waited another 5 minutes for "breadsticks." The breadsticks were essentially halves of hogi bread with a spread a melted butter. Unimpressed. Nothing unique. And when I inquired about the the fact the dressing was italian and not balsamic, I was told that i was wrong. And it was balsamic. There's a big taste different between the two. It was italian. Ruined the idea/taste of a cobb salad. And no offer to make it new with the correct dressing. Just told me I was wrong. Food wasn't that great. My companion liked her quesadilla, but I don't know if I'd go again.

Not a huge menu, but they do well with the dishes they have on the menu. Staff is has appeared to change and they are awesome.

This place is great! The food is fresh and high quality and the staff is kind and professional. It's nice to have a locally owned restaurant that is open on Sunday.

The view on the way up was amazingly stunning, especially in winter. The community where this cafe at is just pretty with all the snow and Christmas decorations. The cafe itself was adorable. Staff were friendly. Service was great. I've ordered the corned beef skillet hash and Traditional waffle. They were both pretty good, the only downside was that they've put too much oil in the corned beef, made the bottom part of the food really oily and heavy. The waffle was good, not too soft and not too hard, just how I like it. Their maple syrup was delicious, i wonder which brand they are using, or do they make it theirselves? Huh...gonna ask them next time. Overall, I really enjoyed my dining experience here. I would love to come back and try their lunch and dinner.

This is exactly what is needed in the dining wasteland that is Draper. Good food, drink and atmosphere. When we arrived we were told that the bar tender had to leave early but Melody stepped up to make some very tasty Bloody Mary's. Patio, music and whole vibe is very welcoming. Very tasty sandwiches and appealing, but not on overwhelming menu. We will certainly be back!

They have THE BEST CHOCOLATE MINT SHAKE EVER! Only took a star off because they are a bit slow getting food out.

Food was ok, had to send back the pulled pork. Owner was rude, and ignored us at the dessert counter. With a new owner, might have a chance.

The pulled pork sandwich was delicious. Th bun was soft but toasted in the inside. The coleslaw was crunchy and fresh. The pork sweet, and the onion straw tasty. I would order it again in a heartbeat.

The views are unbeatable when you head up to the ridge. I've eaten there twice in the 2 weeks they've been open. The lasagna was just okay, but the pizza was great! My wife really liked the fish and chips as well. Even my kids are fans. The market also had a surprisingly broad selection of products with very reasonable prices.

Great service, good food. Glad to have a local place close. I had the soup and salad and it was very satisfying. The staff was very accommodating for a large family. Very friendly, very accommodating. The C&C sandwich was delicious as was the lasagna. Next time we will try the ice cream.

I'm glad The Ridge has opened. We had a great meal tonight. The C&C sandwich I had was delicious. Great flavors and the chicken was tender and juicy. Yummy sweet potato fries. I would suggest having a separate person taking phone orders. We had to wait at the counter to place our order because of this. They do have some great beers and wines on their bar menu.
