Solid calzones. Had the tabasco pepperoni and it was very good, however it was hard to give it more than 2 stars due how run-down and dirty the dining room was and how SLOW THE SERVICE WAS! Good food, if you're willing to wait an hour for it. After 35 minutes the hostess came out to tell us that they had sent our order out for delivery by accident. And would have to remake it. Ownership definitely needs to invest in some maintenance and upkeep. If there is a next time, it will definitely be take-out

Chicago is my hometown and being in SLC for a year, I really missed the pizza ... cut in squares ... can't have it any other way. Finding good pizza has been hard in SLC ... they don't have the proper ovens to master the Chicago style thin crust. I was pretty happy when I found this place. Many pizzas to choose from and they're not cheap. If you want cheap, stick with Domino's, LC's or Pizza Hut. I don't want cheap, I want Sweet Home Chicago pizza!

I am very disappointed. I drove down here late last night to pick up a pizza to go and they are no longer in business. There are no signs on the door or notifications on their website, just an empty space.

I had to drive up from Orem last night because they were doing Italian Beef. That's a Chicago staple most people don't seem to know about. They just know pizza and hot dogs. Italian Beef is all about the sliced roast beef marinated in spices and the juice the sandwich is dipped in. It's what a french dip would be if done right. The version here was a little weak in the spiced beef, but only in comparison to Chicago's best. They had the buns flown in. It tasted really good dipped with the Giardiniera on it.. In Chicago there are two types of deep dish pizza. Ike Sewell created the original at Pizzeria Uno. There are strong arguments that Rudy Malnati actually came up with the recipe. His son Lou worked with him and later created the local chain Lou Malnatis. These days they really carry the torch for the deep dish style. Pizzeria Uno and Due are not what they were in the 70's when I ate there the most. In the 70's there was what we call the upstarts that created the stuffed pizza at Giordano's Pizza and now famous at Gino's East too. We always felt it was the pizza for the tourists. However, after 40 years now it's a real Chicago pizza in it's own right. This is the pizza they serve here. The stuffed style. They do a very good job on it. When we showed up, this time, it had just stopped raining and it was very overcast. We sat at the outside tables because we had our small dog with us. By the time we got our food, most of the outside tables were full. Everyone was having a nice time. The view from the outdoor tables is great and they pipe the music out back too. There are only a few great pizza places along the Wasatch front. This is one of them. If you don't like the stuffed pizza here, you probably won't be wowed in Chicago either. One note. I haven't said anything about is the thin crust. I've not tasted it and can't give an opinion. It looks good and people were enjoying it, but I already have places I like the thin crust. This is the only place with deep dish that actually delivers the goods. The last note. When I was young I only remember three choices for the pizza at Uno. Small, medium and large. It was all about the sausage. If you want to be old school when you order, just get the stuffed pizza with double sausage.

Great food with a unique taste. They have a variety of different pizzas as well as bread sticks. The service is quick and accurate. Get their medium pizza with breadsticks and salad special. It's satisfying. Kids are welcome and you can dine inside or take it home. My favorite is the Canadian Bacon and pineapple. Yummy.

Being as Chicago is a 3 star type of city makes it hard for this establishment to be anything but 3 stars. This place is better than Bid Daddy's, but pizza in Salt Lake isn't that great especially as you travel south of Este at 200 South. Yes I talked trash on Chicago, screw the Bulls and Bears and White Sox and screw hockey as a sport as a whole. I haven't tried their stuffed crust yet. but the thin crust is pretty good although a little pricey considering it's basically the same product you get at Domino's. Sorry folks, not trying to burst your bubble, it's the honest truth, buy Domino's thin crust and this place's thin crust and do a blind taste test. I promise you can't tell the difference.

We ordered the stuffed pizza with pepperoni. I thought it was a little pricey, but the flavor was good and the pizza was filling. We would order from them again.

Mediocre tasteless pizza. Yelp has steered me wrong. Saddens me too. The staff is extremely friendly though. Wish I could say more about the food. All I can say is it was bland and tasteless. It's pizza, how is that even possible?

I would definitely recommend this pizza place! We had three things: the cheesy bread, a small deep dish planetarium pizza, and a thin crust Hawaiian pizza. All three were fabulous. People aren't kidding when they say the marinara is good... It's amazing! Our favorite was the deep dish planetarium. It is a Chicago style pizza , but also very unique. When I saw the pictures I was a bit hesitant but don't let the pictures fool you... The whole pizza comes together as one fabulous tasting sensation. The thin crust pizza is just that... Thin. Be prepared for thin, crispy, and a little burned on the bottom as a result. So good though! Last -- one small deep dish with the cheesy bread is plenty for 2 people... Don't let their pizza signs fool you ! The thin crust is a lot less food so not sure if that alone would be enough for two. Happy eating !

I really want to like this place. It's close and convenient. We've had their pizza twice and it was fine both times. BUT: Tonight when we called for delivery the person who answered the phone was incredibly rude, and said "delivery is really really really long". When I asked how long it would be he suggested I call somewhere else. Unbelievable. The last two times we got food from them the orders have been messed up and we didn't get what we ordered. Given how many pizza places there are in the same area with good yelp reviews I can't recommend eating here.

Great place that brings something unique to the table - Chicago style pizza. Nice servers, fun interior or beautiful view from outside, sauce with a bit of a sweet flavor, and a reference to Saturday Night Live on the menu put Sweet Home Chicago Pizzeria over the top.

The dinning area needs some major TLC, the cheese bread was burnt, and the pizza was ok - not great but not outstanding either.

I'll keep this short and simple. Get The Don, or any of the specialty deep dish pizzas. Handily the best Chicago style pizza in Utah. Sweet tomato sauce, deliciously stretchy mozzarella and golden flakey crust. It's certainly worth the drive out of the way and the slightly more expensive than average price tag. Never tried the thin crust. It's probably good but I could never pass up on the deep stuff.

I LOVE Sweet Home Chicago! Their deep dish pizza is phenomenal! The flavors are outstanding, as are the crust and the quality of ingredients! If you get the meal, the cheesy bread is absolutely delicious, and the Italian salad is humongous, but extremely tasty. Sure the food is pricey; but when you stop to consider the tastes, quality and the sheer volume of food, you see that you are getting a bargain. The value here is outstanding! Sweet Home Chicago is Chicago Style Pizza at its finest and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who's looking for exceptional pizza!

I visited Park City for Sundance. I'm originally from Chicago and a huge fan of Giordano's. I yelped "Giordano's" near Park City to see if they had anything similar. This comes pretty close. It looks exactly like Giordano's! I will say the taste is not exactly the same though. The dough is different as are the toppings and sauce. It is one of the better stuffed pizzas I've had outside of Chicago, though. I really appreciated it. I also loved the Chicago decor. It reminded me of home. I was confused when I first walked in because I wasn't sure if it was a sit down restaurant. You place your order, get a number, sit down, and then they bring the food to you. It's located in a small strip mall. It's not a nice, fancy sit down restaurant. When I first saw it, I thought it was a bar. It's pretty laid back and you can see the people cooking in the kitchen. There were a lot of families with kids and it seems pretty family friendly. If it's your birthday, you can sign up on their website for a free thin crust pizza with toppings of your choice. The prices are pretty reasonable. It was around $11-12 for a small stuffed crust, which feds 2-3 people. They also have free refills on drinks.

So many here expect so little. This guy's prices are higher than in Chicago neighborhoods. In Chicago they refer to deep dish pizza as "Deppies" or "Tourist pie" I have ordered here many times for delivery because it is similar to a Chicago pizza but way better than Dominoes and any other franchise Pizza. I see reviews here from mostly people who don't know what to expect. They know what to expect fro Little Ceasears so this joint surprises them with a totally different style and they give it good reviews. The ingredients are better but the people assembling them need more specific training as to an authentic Chicago pizza. You don't use sweet tomato sauce from a can and you don't use diced green peppers that are raw. The other real problem they have in the dough . He hasn't spent the time and research to learn how to make a thin crust dough, The thin crust that I received should hold the weight of the toppings these slide right off because the dough is to thick and gooey. The cheese is good and the sausage is really good for Utah and the mushrooms are fresh and sliced right. It's all about technique and they have not mastered it in almost ten years now. I can say I will buy again because I know what to expect and they just haven't had a real pro open up here yet. So they get a plus for trying to imitate the real thing.

I ordered a delivery thin crust veggie pizza. I was quoted 45 min- 1 hr. The pizza showed up in an hour and 15. The pizza was a step above cold and quite frankly was one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. The sauce was mediocre. The crust was horrible and had a burnt taste on the edges. Nothing about this pizza was good. Time to find something else for dinner.

I love this pizza. It hard to find a good Chicago pizza. I didn't have a problem with the price. If you want cheap medicore go to a pizza chain like pizza hut. I just got back from Chicago and the pizza tasted like the one there. Very good place to in my opinion.

The experience: My fiance and I were looking for a nice sit down pizza place in Utah. We came across this place on yelp and had to give it a shot. There was a 35 minute wait, which was not so nice because we were really hungry but we were hoping the pizza would make up for it. For a long wait, I was expecting the pizza to be pipping hot, but it was luke warm. That was alright for us on that particular day because it helped us eat it faster rather than waiting for it to cool down. But I would have liked the pizza to be a little warmer than how it was served. The food: We ordered the deep dish 10' Bleacher Bums pizza which is basically a veggie pizza and then we added beef meatballs to it. We really wanted chicken but the guy at the front desk told us they were out which was a bit odd.The crust was not greasy at all which I loved! The crust is so soft and tastes very fresh. The sauce on top was a bit salty for my liking but overall it works well together. I did think there was a bit too much cheese but I'm sure that is just my personal preference. A little bit of pizza goes a long way, and I was pretty much full off of one slice! The pizza definitely melts in your mouth (and if the pizza was a bit hotter, I'm sure that effect would have been even greater). Overall, its a great sit down restaurant with breathtaking views of the mountains. The pizza tastes good, and I'll definitely be coming back.

Too much sauce on the deep dish. The sauce didn't taste that good to us either. Pizza is supposed to be easy to feed kids and not too expensive for a family on a budget. We ended up at $30 (1 side salad and no drinks) for a small family and the worst part - the kids wouldn't eat it. Our kids had the same reaction my wife and I did. Scrape off the sauce and see if it can be salvageable. Sadly, I will probably not eat the leftovers, and I hate to waste food.

Nothing fancy for a dining environment, but the pizza is spectacular. Easily my favorite pizza on the Wasatch Front!

The worst service ever!!! We ordered a pizza over two hours ago. We were told it would be about an hour to have delivered a block away. 2 1/2 hours later we have no pizza. Called and talked to the manager.... She said it was not her problem. No attempt to make it right or to give us a status. As good as their pizza is, this kind of service really tells a story about the kind of company you are dealing with. I will not be ordering from them again. I would suggest using another pizza delivery service that will really deliver a pizza!

I was born and raised in Chicago, so after moving my family to SLC my first priority was to find a good pizza, and I did. There stuffed pizza is great, as good as any stuff you'll find at any favorite pizza place in any Chicago neighborhood. The thin crust was my favorite surprise. You see everyone outside Chicago thinks Chicago is all about Deep dish and stuffed, this is totally wrong Chicagoans eat more thin than anything else. There is a definite type that is a Chicago thin, it's has a sweet sauce, cracker crust, and must be square cut. Sweet Home does all this, and they do it well. For Chicago natives, the thin tastes just like a Barnaby's pizza!

  • Steve K.

I'm more of a pizza traditionalist. But this is some excellent stuffed pizza. I would without hesitation put this up there with ANY of Utah's finest pizza joints. If you're looking for eye candy this isn't the place. The inside is very plain. That being said. It's still one of my favorite pizza joints in SLC. I've been ordering "The Don" and it is a excellent pie. A little out of the way but worth the drive.

  • Michael H.

The Don. Please order this pizza for your own good. The sauce is untouchable, and the crust is perfection. You'll never regret it my yelp friend.

Pizza was good, nothing to rave about. Got the deep dish even though they tried to talk us out of it at the counter, I also note none f their specials include the deep dish. I guess I can understand, it take a bit to make and a long time to cook but that is what Chicago pizza is all about in my mnd.

  • Tim H.

My wife and I moved to the area last year from Chicago, so in general, I am pretty skeptical of any restaurant that claims to sell "Chicago style" deep dish pizza. Good deep dish pizza is a challenge, even for restaurants not named Lou Malnatti's or Giordano's in the Windy City. When we visited Sweet Home Chicago, we just ordered a small salad and a small deep dish pizza with sausage, tomatoes, and hot giardiniera (if you really want the real Chicago experience, you too should get the hot giardiniera). The salad was great and a real value at $1.59. Okay, so the pizza....it was freaking awesome! The dough had that perfect buttery crust, and I love the way the bottom of the crust was nice and crispy! All of the ingredients were high-quality and the giardiniera was nice and spicy --just the way it should be. If you want a true Chicago pizza experience without having to visit Illinois, take a trip down to Sweet Home Chicago. And remember, deep dish is very filling; a small is more than enough for two average appetites. Oh, and if you visit on a nice day, be sure to take advantage of the outdoor seating. I believe they have one of the best views in Utah!!!

The managers are very greedy and the customer service is awful. Pizza is nothing special either

  • J C.

Mediocre pizza, great service. We got a stuffed pizza and it didn't taste like Chicago. The sauce is too sweet, the sausage is bland, and the pizza seemed undercooked. They are on the right track, but they need to tweak the recipe. To their credit, it is true Chicago deep dish style.

    (2)
  • Stephanie J.

I love this place. The pizza is authentic Chicago deep dish. Crust, cheese, toppings, then sauce. Choose from one on the menu or ask for you favorite toppings. Their salads are amazingly delicious. The thin crust pizza comes as it should: cut in squares not triangles. They even offer a tasty authentic Chicago Dog. The pizza is cooked in a big oven and left overs heat up best if you have a Pampered Chef stone to heat on in the oven... This way the crust gets crisp again.

After reading review after review, I had to get my buddies and come try this place. Now, I'm not a big fan of pizza. Not that I don't like pizza I do, it just doesn't feel like a meal to me more like an appetizer. What's great about SHCP is you can get a thin crust which they bring out pipping hot (just ask my cousins lip) and a stuffed deep dish pizza. Since the thin crust cooks faster you eat that as your appetizer then chow down on the deep dish when it comes out after...best of both worlds! Now to rank what I had. We went on the weekend so I got the family meal deal with the 2-topping thin crust, cheese bread and salad. My buddies both ordered a large deep dish. I laughed at them when they came and told me what they ordered (way do much, but we did get to try more variety) Cheese bread. Nothing special. 3 stars Salad. Had a sweet oily flavor. Different but probably wouldn't order again. 2 stars. Sausage and garlic thin crust. Loved the crispy chewy crust. The spicy sausage was good, but the pizza needed more garlic. 3 stars, maybe 4. I would order it again. The Jake and Elwood - Grilled chicken, fresh tomatoes, green peppers. The Chicago Transit Authority - Sausage, tomatoes, jalapenos. (this was supposed to be The Taylor Street - All meat....cousin ordered wrong) I really enjoyed the deep dish pizza. More of a meal. The crust was light and buttery, that's the best way I can describe it. All the ingredients were very fresh which made the pizza all the better. The Chicago Transit tasted like a big jalapeno popper. All in all 4 stars for both pizzas. I believe the best time to go would be Tuesday for the BOGO. Thin crust for the appetizer and the deep dish for the meal. Now I need to go again to actually try the Taylor Street.

I've never had authentic Chicago stuffed pizza, so I was intrigued when I heard that it is a specialty of this new place. It is located on a bluff overlooking Draper across from a Walmart grocery store. The decor is nothing special and consists of an ordering area and a nondescript dining room with random pictures of Chicago scattered throughout. Although it took awhile to get our pizza, service was quite friendly. We started with the cheesy bread which was essentially a small, thick-crusted pizza with the sauce on the side. It was actually tasty and filling...we probably didn't need to order this since the pizza was so filling. Ah, the pizza. It was OK...think two pizzas stacked on top of each other. We got a small stuffed "Don" for $11.99. It was about 10 inches across and one inch high and filled with sausage, pepperoni, peppers, mushrooms and cheese. The sauce was nice, a little bit sweet and a little bit spicy. It was tasty and very filling...my wife and I could only finish half of it. I wish the crust were crispier, though, and it would have been even better if it were hot. Though everything was cooked, it was only lukewarm. In general, I am not a proponent of quantity over quality. But this place is a pretty good value, especially if you go on Tuesdays when you get one pizza free when you buy one.

horrible. Wings under cooked and not seasoned. Pizza was bland and was like eating cardboard. Cardboard might have had more flavor.

I am a big fan of this pizza! The stuffed pizzas are freaking good. And a 14 inch can feed 4 no problem. They have a great selection of specialty pizzas. We ordered The Don which had there homemade sausage, peperoni, green peppers and mushrooms. Yummy and extremely filling. I will be back for sure.

Best pizza in Utah. Their stuffed pizza is every bit as good as anywhere in Chicago.

Well, it wasn't Geno's East in Chicago, but it was pretty tasty. the place was clean and friendly and they do let you know that your deep dish (they kept calling it stuffed) will take 30-40 minutes. I was hoping for the buttery, flakey crust of the Chicago deep dish of CHICAGO, but it was more of a plain dough type crust. It was loaded with cheese, the sauce was a little bit sweet and the pepperoni was tasty. My only complaint is that there is Cubs photos, Bears photos but NO Black Hawks!! Come on, you got the Stanley Cup...be proud!!!

***Great Pizza, Poor Restaurant, Lacking Service*** Went here after checking Yelp! quickly prior to going to the Draper area. The entry door is easy to miss as it is on the east side of the building with no markings to indicate it is the entry door. You would assume that the door would be on the North side. The place may have been nice once but it has been hammered and needs some maintenance. Prices were a little high but the pizza made up for it. We ordered a stuffed 14" pepperoni and sausage. The pizza tops all Utah pizza places in my opinion. The restaurant, however, does not. Service was lacking: they did not inform me of the 40 minute wait to get the pizza to my table. The plates were salad plates and needed to be upsized to a man's size plate. The paint was chipped and there was writing scratched into the frames of the windows that look into the kitchen (my kids did like this). My booth seat was worn out. The bathrooms were disgusting and had no toilet paper. ***Order early and get your pizza to go to keep this great pizza from giving you a miserable experience inside the restaurant***

Disapointed.....just moved to the area from Naperville,IL and was craving good thin crust pizza. I called to order one and requested that it be pie cut, i just dont like the square cut style. I was told no by the girl who was taking the order and when i pressed the issue a little she asked me to hold, she came back and stated that the owner Joe said we could ask but that if they accidentally cut it in squares that he would not make another. I realize that it does not effect the taste but it does effect my experiance eating it. I lived in Chicago my whoke life, ate pizza from all of the well known places and NEVER had a problem getting my pizza pie cut. I guess customer service is not Joe's strong suit so I will never know if the pizza is any good or not. I also stopped in on a week ago on Saturday to try the Italian Beef only to be told "Oh we have not had that in a couple of weeks, the person thst makes it had been out and we don't know when we will have it again". Sorry Joe, two strikes and I am out, there are too many other places to go. Good luck, I cant imagine you will be in business long with this kind of service.

This is one of the best pizzas in the state. True Chicago style.

  • Adam M.

The deep dish pizza (or stuffed crust as they call it) was good, but not nearly as good as what you'd get in Chicago. The crust was not the flakey, buttery goodness I love with Chicago pizzas, but it was plenty thick on the bottom and the sauce had a very nice sweetness to it. Prices were very reasonable, especially when a small pizza can feed two adults with average appetites. My wife liked it much better, though. She proclaimed it her new favorite pizza in Utah.

This was really good, too bad its in Draper and it all the way east. The only thing i have to complain is that we waited 45mins for our one 14inch pizza. There wasnt a big crowd when we were there and it took forever for our food. Our kids was getting antsy and restless. So fyi call ahead! But overall the pizza was delicious and huge thick slices! I never had a Chicago style pizza so if this was close to the real thing than kudos to the chef!!

  • Chris M.

True Chicago style pizza is hard to find outside of Chicago and in all honesty that holds true here as well. I've had better Chicago style, but Sweet Home is still pretty good. I haven't found anything better in Utah and will definitely be a repeat customer. The pizza is filling and makes for great left overs the next day. Service was a little slow (and yes, I know this style pizza takes longer), but friendly.

After I found the front door - which by the way is on the side of the building - I was a bit skeptical walking in to this non-descript, nothing-to-excited-about interior. However, the pizza, salad, and friendly service won me over! I went with my hubby and son and we decided to take the menu's suggestion "big enough to share" and started our meal with the Antipasta Salad. It was listed at $9.99 but we figured for 3 people that wasn't bad. Since my son is pretty little, the waitress asked if we wanted the salad big enough for 2 or 3 people. I asked if it changed the price if we went for the 3 people and she said no, they just base how big to make the salad by how many people are sharing. So the salad for 3 people is the same price as the salad for 2 people. Ok. We went for the salad for 3 people and now I wish I had said big enough for 5 or 6 people because we ate ever last morsel of that salad. My son even cleaned his plate and asked for more. It came with a nice variety of greens and was topped with salami, pepperoni, olives, cheese and a nice house Italian dressing. The dressing was unlike any other Italian dressing I've had, and was sweet and tangy, light and refreshing. Oh so good. I opted for the thin crust pizza instead of going for the signature stuffed crust purely out of financial reasons. The crispy crust was cooked just right and the sauce was flavorful and delicious. Toppings were plentiful. The pizza was great, the salad was great, the service was very friendly. The dining room as a wall with windows and you can see into the kitchen. I kinda wish I hadn't, it looked clean and professional, but every single pizza maker was a greasy faced, greasy haired teenage kid. It had me a bit worried, but then as I watched, they were flinging the dough into the air with the precision of veteran pizza makers. I guess the proof is in the pizza...and it was pretty darn good.

Excellent stuffed pizza with one minor flaw...the crust resembles a thin crus pizza and is more crispy than doughy.

I was super excited to try this place because I wanted some good Chicago pizza. We ordered the planetarium that has sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, olives, peppers and onions. I asked for no olives on one half and no mushrooms on the other half. Needless to say it didn't come out his way. One half had no olives and the other half had mushrooms and olives. It made it really hard to dig out the mushrooms since the mushrooms weren't just sitting on the top. The pizza was pretty good for the most part but I didn't care for the tomato sauce.

I was craving for pizza, and I found accidentally found this pizza shop on yelp. I've never been to Chicago, but heard a lot from my friends that the pizza there is so different from other states. So I always hope to go to Chicago and try out their pizza. Never thought that my dream would come true in Utah~woohoo! I went there with my friend and we ordered a Chicago stuff pizza and hot dog. The hot dog kind of disappointed me. I thought it would be different, since they poster and stuff recommending this hot dog, but it is no difference than those selling on the street. The pizza, however, is really different than others. It filled with cheese, green beans, tomato sauce. It made me hungry just by looking at it. The pizza was so 'cheesy' that it was really difficult to separate it into pieces. However, the pizza was kind of too big for me and my friend, we have to ask for a to go box.

I'm not an expert on Chicago pizza, but I know what I like... I had the "Planetarium" (Home-made Italian sausage, pepperoni, black olive, mushroom, green pepper, tomato and onion). As another reviewer said, the marinara sauce was extraordinary--deep, rich tomato flavor and subtle herbs--and the italian sausage was amazing. For three of us, we had two meals from the 14" stuffed, so it came to about $6-$7 per person per meal. I've long been a fan of the The Pie, but am grateful to have found pizza excellence in the south end of the valley. We had take out so I can't rate the restaurant interior, but the service was fast. I look forward to trying the stromboli and other pies.

I read some lukewarm reviews here, but decided to try it out anyway. I'm glad I did - whether it's authentic or not I'm not sure (I've only had real Chicago deep dish two or three times), but if you want something different and delicious this place is great! We got thin crust for the kids, but even they ended up loving the crust and cheese on our deep dish pie. I struggled to finish 2 pieces of the smallest deep dish available (we got the one with all the meat in it). Side note: I never saw "Sweet Home Chicago" on any signage so I thought I was at the wrong place until I saw the menu items. The sign on the outside of the building (and inside for all I could find) only says "PIZZERIA."

This place is so damn good. They make a rectangular flat style pizza. It's high quality, they have a cheese bread that's so damn good too. Is real deal Chicago style.

I got the Taylor street (all meat) stuffed pizza, some cheesy bread, and my wife had a Chicago dog. We agreed, it was pretty mediocre. I'd rather have leftovers of the real deal than this fresh. Not worth the hype, nor the price. There's no such thing as bad pizza, but this comes pretty close. As far as the cheesy bread goes, it's good it's offered for free sometimes because you get about $1 worth of food.

Solid 4 stars! If you love pizza (and I about 99.9% sure you do) then check this place out. It's small, maybe divey, possibly more of a Mom & Pop vibe. I got the feeling it's a family that runs it. The pizza was delicious! I can honestly say top 5 pizza places I've eaten. It was pretty spendy, but for good pizza, it's worth it! I dont mess around with no HOT n Ready garbage. Sit outside, enjoy a beautiful view of the Draper Temple while drinking a beer :)

DRAPER, UT: This is the only Chicago pizza in this part of Utah, and they have done a sincere-and effective-reproduction of the excellent fare in Chicago. I like it. I ordered a large with basic pepperoni for just under $20 and it fed one adult and four young children. The sub-style of this pizza is alike to Giordanos, not Lou Malnatis or Unos, if you have tried these Chicago pizza chains. This means the sauce is flavorful, slightly sweet, and doesn't have chunks of tomatoes in it. I actually prefer no chunks in the sauce, so it was perfect for me. It was so good, my picky six year old daughter just spooned the sauce off the top and ate it direct, much how she does frosting off a cupcake, to my dismay. The crust is dense, like a pie crust, not "bready" like a standard chain. It's buttery and flavorful. This one was cooked a little too much, hence 4 stars, but almost good enough to be five. The service was terrific.

The marinara on their pizza is amazing. We first tried it with the free cheesy Bread we received for checking in on yelp. My gf loves this place and she doesn't even love pizza like I do. She craves this pizza. Awesome friendly staff too.

My family and I came down to this restaurant for a couple of times. We loved their deep dish pizza, especially "the Don", and also every Tuesday, they gave one free thin pizza for a deep dish pizza order, so today I order the thin half-half (half pizza is pepperoni while another half is anchovy). I started with the Don and I truly like their edges as it is really crispy. I ate them with extra chili and cheese. It is delicious... as I enjoy the center side of the pizza, I could feel a flavorful taste from mushroom, peppers and the meat... I like this pizza. The thin crust is half-half. My son loved the pepperoni while my wife love the anchovy. The pepperoni is usual while the anchovy is rather saltish in comparison to the usual pizza, we don't understand why. The service is OK... the reasons we gave 3 stars are as follows: 1. The pizza is made to order so, you would easily expect 20-30min for deep dish pizza 2. The restaurant is really simple with outdated decor. 3. The price per pizza is relatively more expensive

This was the first time I've had real Chicago style pizza and it was damn good. My friends and I picked up the 14 inch Taylor street pizza. A little less than half way through the second slice we were all full but we powered through it. We will definitely treat ourselves to this pie again.

We have Zachary's back home (bay area) which I have been told is better than most Chicago deep dish places in Chicago. So, I had a craving for deep dish pizza in the valley and was surprised that there was a place a few miles away from me. This place is definitely up the mountain in Draper so don't worry when you have to drive out to this place, its up there. When we got to the restaurant, it was surprisingly empty on a friday afternoon at lunch time. It has an inside portion to the restaurant in comparison to mountain mikes and an outside patio with chairs. I definitely recommend sitting outside and enjoy a beer while you're at it. Because the views from this place are breathtaking. The mountains are so close that you just want to go hiking afterwards. You have an amazing view of all the houses, development, and the draper valley just in general. Food: The prices for the pizza were standard as a deep dish that fed 4-5 people cost around $26 or around $5/person which is very reasonable. We also used the offer of the free cheese bread with check in, thanks guys. And, we ordered a side salad. The side salad was served up first and it was actually delightful. It tasted fresh and by the end, I wanted more. Next up, was the cheesy bread. It was wonderfully sliced up and served with marinara. The cheese to bread ratio was good and marinara tasted home made. Next, was our Pizza! This is the famous pizza that they are known for and I couldn't wait until I got my hands on it. The individual slices are approx. 1 lb each. As you can see from the pictures, its not just big horizontally, it had a huge vertical drop. The crust was good enough to eat by itself and the stuffed pizza got better with each bite. The marinara, vegetables, meats, and the crust were blended very well in each bite I took. I can say its not as good as Zacharys but for being a restaurant in the valley, it came VERY close to it. I will be coming here often from now on and you should give the deep dish a try as well.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century.
