Stayed in a king cabin and it was quite nice! Everything is a little older, this is not a luxury hotel, but very nice and although still close to the park, is away from the touristy area right outside the park entrance. The hotel restaurant is actually highly rated on yelp, we had a very nice, reasonably priced breakfast there. All in all, pleased with our stay.

Tent camped in early September 2015. Tent site were nice and reasonably spaced. Portable toilets were clean and not smelly. Staff was nice and late check in was no problem. Great location - 5-7 minute drive to Bryce Canyon. Downsides - right next to the highway, so lots of car noise. Campsite floor was all small sharp rocks, so would die without a sleeping pad. Showers and real bathrooms don't open until 7, so no running water available if you need it early or late.

It's a well decorated quiet restaurant near the Bryce Canyon national park. We stayed at the ruby inn and came here for breakfast. We got the omelettes and pancakes. The food was good and the service was fast. Would recommend this place to everyone, especially near the Bryce Canyon where the options are limited

Visited in May 2012 - From the time we arrived until we left, everything was good at price of $105 for the room. Great service at the restaurant for dinner. I recommend the Halibut Steak for dinner. It was light and filling! We enjoyed their Coconut Cream Pie!! Huge slice of pie for $5, that's a deal! The fruit pies are $4/slice. The staff was friendly. The prices seem to be the same at most of the restaurants. My husband and I came in to check-in and the attendant asked, "Are you married?" That's what we heard. Ultimately, she meant, "Are you Mary?" A simple and funny misunderstanding. But yes, we are married. =) When we came in the second time to pick up the key to our room in the evening time, a different attendant was there at the front desk. She was friendly at first. She appeared distracted on something else when I asked where our unit was located. She responded sarcastically. I didn't feel welcomed as I did when we checked in. The room is nice and quaint. Wood panels on the wall made it feel like the 70s Show. We stayed for a night. It was a very cold night, but we kept warm as much as we could. The heater in the bathroom felt nice and toasty. Throughout the room, it wasn't as toasty because we felt a brisk of cold air every now and then. Double queens, mini-fridge, microwave, TV, and free wi-fi. Although the further your unit is away from the main office, the weaker the wi-fi became. You won't find the ice box where the vending machine is located, it is actually located in the main office near the electric organ. Who would have known there was an electric organ (church style)?! I would recommend this place to everyone, if you aren't too picky for anything to be acceptable.

Quiet Nice quaint large room unit with a fireplace and full kitchen and living room.A lot of knotty pine inside the large kitchen area. Loved the quiet and peaceful grounds. The second night at Ruby's Inn was not too good.(see review) I would have stayed here a second night next time around. Much quieter and unlike the touristy Ruby's Inn which was not enjoyable at all.

I agree with other reviewers that the service is slow. It took a long time for us to be seated. Solid American food with friendly atmosphere. Loved the warm bread! Chicken wings were moist inside. My husband liked his steak--nothing special but well cooked meat. My fried steak was a bit salty but overall decent.

Stopped for lunch after visiting Bryce Canyon. Food was very good and satisfying. Try the homemade bread and pie. Delicious. Only one waitress working but she was smiling and handled everything like a real pro.

Excellent place for lunch. Good food quick service. Homemade salad dressing on a fresh crisp salad. Good sandwiches and homemade pie. Service was with a smile!

I had the fish and chips and loved the steak fries and the fish. They make their own tartar sauce and it was delish. Our child ordered from the kids menu and they brought out the chocolate milk in a frosty big mug which she loved. My husband and I both ordered from the back menu and the serving sizes were perfect to save room for some of their homemade pie. If you have a really big appetite then probably order from the main dinner menu (although that will cost quite a bit more, it looked like those plates averaged $25 while ours were each about $10). We shared the banana blueberry cream pie and it did not disappoint. Big serving and was definitely homemade with a crumbly graham cracker crust. The service was excellent and the decor was a cute country vibe.

Great breakfast! Barbra took great care of us, even gave us recommendations for the next leg of our trip. We doubled back on our road to eat here after hearing so many recommendations. Glad we did. Stop here.

A nice place for a meal around Bryce Canyon. Lovely service and classic meals with some nice touches (local trout for example). Hearty but not overwhelming portions and the pie is heavenly. Solid choice.

  • Griffin B.

3.5 overall, rounded up for location and end game (see below). Good old fashioned country atmosphere and menu. Dishes are straightforward but tasty. My wife's local trout was particularly delicious. Good assortment of beer and wine from Utah as well. Friendly service, thanks Gina. Major strengths: fresh baked bread and homemade pies! If you you don't try them you should reserve your judgements people...

I've been to all the restaurants in the Bryce Canyon area and The Pines stands out as being the best. The service has been spot on every time, the food is consistent and the prices are competitive.

Called Bryce Canyon Pines Motel home for 2 nights in late-May, between trips to Bryce Canyon National Park and Capitol Reef National Park. No frills whatsoever and clean enough. The main beef I had with our very dated room was the cranky old heater. The heater was no doubt older than me, not so user-friendly, loud as heck, and barely sufficient. I've lived in coastal San Diego for years with no heat. It's sunny, temperate San Diego, sure, but December-February nights typically dip into the 40s and even the 30s, so I know how to deal with cold. I'm also from Pennsylvania. That all being said, it took a while for the room and my toes to warm up once, by trial and error, my husband and I figured out how to get the heat running in our motel room. The hotel's restaurant? Not a fan. Not much is fresh, including the pies that this establishment advertises heavily; husband's apple pie had what was probably a homemade crust but was filled with canned apples. Props, though, for the decent chef salad--blue cheese dressing also hit the spot--and the pleasant lady who takes beverage orders during breakfast. Bryce Canyon Pines Motel strikes me as a $50/night place. My disclaimer, however, is that we stayed here as part of the Southwest Adventure Tours package, for which we paid a flat per-person package rate. I couldn't tell you what our room rate was.

We stayed at the Best Western and searched Yelp for a nearby restaurant, this one was pretty highly recommended. We had the Mozarrella sticks, a couple of sandwiches and a fresh lemonade, all were really good. Diner was charming and the service was great.

We are staying at a hotel near Bryce Canyon and weren't too excited about the breakfast the hotel had so we went on a search for places open for breakfast on a Sunday morning. There were very slim pickings but the pines had good reviews so we tried it out. We were all incredibly happy with our 2 egg breakfasts with hash browns and toast. It hit the spot and got us going for our hike. It was so good in fact that we went back for dinner that night, again slim pickings on a Sunday night, but we weren't disappointed. I had the elk burger and my parents had the trout, my mom raves about their mashed potatoes and the trout. We split 2 pies, the raisin with sour cream, which sounded interesting and local, and the banana and blueberry cream pie which was delicious!

Felt like we walked into my aunt or grandma's house. Wait staff was excellent. Even asked if interested in sampling the soup. Homemade soup was great. Elk burger was okay. Portions on some items, like the ice cream was rather large. Nice rustic place.

This was a great, quiet, and inexpensive RV campground for a family of 5 to stay a couple of nights in July 2015. We arrived late, after 9pm closing, but they left us paperwork and everything we needed to find our spot which was very easy to do. We loved the built-in campfire ring which made it easy and fun to sit around the fire. We didn't take advantage of the pool and the store did not have a whole lot of variety of food but it had enough to provide. The people at the store were very nice and helpful. We spent most of our time at Bryce Canyon but this RV campground had everything we needed (quiet, all necessary amenities, clean, nice people, great fire ring, great price). Only giving it 4 stars because the bathrooms are not large enough which is not great when the place is packed (daughters had encounter with other not-too-nice group of girls not wanting to share the mirrors). (but bathrooms were clean). Also, great location to Bryce Canyon National Park.

We went here for breakfast before out hike at Bryce Canyon. They open at 7 so that was nice. The service was excellent. Foods were good. Got the multigrain hot cakes and it was not bad. Foods came quick.

tried to eat there... it was a trainwreck. Waitress couldn't even figure out how to get us coffee and there were employees standing around... doing...nothing?? We walked out before they served us anything, 20 mins I'll never get back.

This hotel is not the fanciest hotel, but it certainly gets the job done. There's free wifi and spacious rooms with a shower and bath. Television, comfy beds, and a closet. I would recommend it to the weary traveler.

Nice staff of which allowed us to still check-in at 21:57... T our campsite was clean, there was little noise except that of the cars along Highway 12; however, after 22:30 or 23:00 the traffic was minimal. There was free Wi-Fi near the store/Chevron station where one checks in, clean bathrooms, warm showers, potable water, hiking paths, outhouse for those not wishing to water the trees, and lovely views!

I don't even know where to begin! We stayed in Bryce for 2 days and ate here 3 times. We had cheeseburgers, veggie omelettes, trout, and the chicken sandwich with ham and cheese! The food was beyond amazing!!!!! The fries were crispy and fresh, the burgers were flame grilled and perfectly cooked, everything was seasoned to perfection, the omelet was huge and flavorful! Additionally, the service was completely outstanding all 3 times! Barbara, Trista, and Shauna were timely, engaging, and beyond accommodating! Our coffee cup cup never went below half and the food was brought out quickly and was fresh and fabulous! Don't forget the pie to complete this experience! We had both the home made lemon and banana strawberry and they were equally out of this world!!!! This place was truly the best all around!!!!!

I stayed at Bryce Canyon Pines RV park for one night in a tent. The campsite was fine, minimal but nice enough. The people at the check-in in the camp store were very nice. They were relatively knowledgeable about the park. The site was about 20 minutes from the park, which was a little further than I had wanted but it was a bit cheaper than places closer to it. There was free WiFi in the store. The showers were clean and warm and included in the price of the campsite. The bathrooms were also clean, although they are a ways from the tent camping area. There was a port-a potty in the tent site area. It is definitely designed for people who are RV camping, but we still had a good time.

Solid food at decent prices. Typical dinner type food that feels and tastes homemade. Our entrees were tasty and served quickly. PLUS they have lots of PIE to choose from which came in handy during our drive back to Zion. Our waitress was also very KIND!!

Worse place ever ! It's supposed to be home cooked but it's home frozen foods . First you have to wait forever to be seated, even when there's free tables . Then you wait forever in this freezing restaurant , we were wearing coats and hats , other people as well. Then comes your food finally and it's so disappointing ! I will never never put my foot inside that place !

Loved this place - came for dinner and it was so good we came back for breakfast the next day. Had chicken and the t-bone for dinner, both were very good (though the seasoning was definitely quite salty), their cherry pie for dessert was excellent had bacon/eggs/pancakes "grand slam" for breakfast, all cooked nicely. But the food, as always, is only part of it - the wait staff were plentiful, polite, friendly and attentive; the atmosphere was excellent - family diner/restaurant vibe. Would thoroughly recommend!

Elk burger was not as exotic as I hoped but was okay. Tastes like a normal burger to me. Also had some hot turkey sandwich which was a it tastier to me. The best thing I had was the hot chocolate, but that's probably because it was so cold outside!

We ate here for two nights since there weren't many restaurants to choose from. Restaurants in Tropic, UT were closed for the season, and I didn't want to eat at Ruby's Inn due to the terrible reviews. From what we overheard from the waitress, Bryce Canyon Pines was closing for the season after the New Year's. This restaurant is located 3-4 miles off Highway 12. First night: All entrees received a loaf of bread and choice of two sides. The loaf of bread was awesome! It was one of the best things of the night. I ordered the trout with steamed veggies and baked potato ($17.95). I had to try the trout since it was highly recommended on Yelp. The trout was okay. Not much flavor and the fish was overcooked. Steamed veggies were sad looking and was not fresh. Baked potato was good with lots of butter. There was only sour cream and butter to top the baked potato. My hubby ordered the country fried steak with mashed potato and steamed veggies ($16.95). He didn't like the steak since he's had better. Mashed potato had the same gravy as the steak. Dish wasn't executed well. We were tempted by the desserts since the restaurants praised themselves for homemade pies. We tried the banana blueberry cream pie ($5) and the boysenberry pie ($4.50). The cream pie had WAY too much cream. It was 75% cream and 25% filling. Rip off. The boysenberry pie was reheated in the microwave which is why the filling oozed on the plate. Big fail in presentation. The filling was good though. Verdict - Not a very good evening due to overpriced food. Second night: I ordered the fish sandwich ($8.95). They ran out of the cod, so they substituted by using two pieces of the fish for the fish and chips dish. The fish was crunchy and not overcooked. Fries were good. My hubby had the rodeo burger ($10.95). Burger came with beef, ham, bacon, and cheese. He liked everything in the burger and had a happy belly. We learned from the previous night to not order dessert. Verdict: The restaurant was better at fried food. We were glad that the second day dinner was better. Really nice people who served us on both days.

This place gets a 4 from me, but mainly because everything else in Bryce Canyon City is terrible. The food was decent, the cherry pie was great. Service was good once we were seated, but it took quite a while to be seated. I'm no entrepreneur, but I imagine that a restaurant chain like Chili's or even Denny's would do brisk business here. Pickings are slim in Bryce.

This place is what it is. Great home cooking served in a family restaurant by the family. Hotel is nice ranch style. Had the chicken fried steak and boysenberry pie and both were perfect.

Browsing through Tripadvisor for a decent restaurant at Bryce Canyon City, my husband and I stumbled upon BCP. We were not disappointed. We had to wait for a little while, but got the WIFI code to kill time. From the moment we arrived till our departure, the staff was as friendly as can be. But most important, the food was really great. I had mouthwatering halibut, my hubby loved his ground beef smothered with onions and bell peppers. The pies are delicious. They told us so, and they're right! My icetea was served in a huge jar, very funny. We left happy and more than satisfied.

Checked yelp before heading out. Because we were early in the tourist season at Bryce some places were not open yet. First morning we decided to try this place. When we first entered two workers were sitting at the counter and twice looked back at us standing by the "please wait to be seated" sign yet said nothing to us. Finally a gentleman came and sat us. We asked about breakfast and he said they ended breakfast at 11:30, it was 11:31 when he told us this. So far service was not impressive. Looked at the lunch menu and other than a Elk burger nothing struck me as interesting. When the waitress (seasonal worker from AZ) came to take our drink order, I remarked that I was bummed we were too late for breakfast, she immediately talked to the cook and came back with breakfast menus. Service side things were looking up. The service was excellent from then on. Unfortunately other than the cherry pie, the food was boring. The menu says "We make our own corned beef hash patties". By this statement they must mean after they take the stuff out of the can because there we no way that was homemade corn beef hash. Eggs were supposed to be over hard (like flat hard boiled) and came to the table with runny yellow yolks. Better after they came back the second time. The biscuit was decent. My companion had the standard eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast. All ok but nothing special. The cherry pie was the only redeeming thing we ate. Like a lot of tourist dependent businesses this one obviously isn't worried about repeat business

The food here is excellent as are most of the wait staff, but Shawna needs to find another line of employment. Several of us walked in and waited to be seated. She completely ignored us. The couple behind us left after 5 minutes. We left after waiting more than 10 minutes.

While visiting Bryce canyon we headed out of the park to get breakfast one day. Not that breakfast at the park was not good enough, more so as a wish to see what the local fare had to offer. We were not Disappointed at Bryce Canyon Pines. We had a great breakfast. The service was friendly and inviting. The decor had local charm and we immediately planned to come back for lunch later during our visit. When in the area, it is now on our list.

After eating at Ruby's Inn and being greatly disappointed. We were worried we wouldn't find a decent restaurant since there are so few to choose from. When we pulled up, the outside was not very inviting. However, the quality of food at low prices was mind boggling. They were making fresh noodles for their chicken and noodle soup. The kids loved all of it. We'll be going there for the rest of our stay. Don't waste money on Ruby's Inn high priced lame buffet!

  • LuRhe S.

We went here twice -- once for lunch (turkey melt) which was excellent. We had home-made pie which again was delicious! We went back for dinner and had the halibut. It was just okay. I guess seafood in this area is always frozen. They are known for their homemade soups and pies, so I guess that's your best bet. We recommend the blueberry and the banana strawberry cream pies.

After two visits to Bryce Canyon in the last few years, and three stops at this restaurant, it's time to share. This place is about four miles west of the entrance road to the park, on Hwy 12, so if you're staying nearby, it's not far at all. There is a small motel there also, but we don't know what that's like. My first visit was solo, for a breakfast stop, back in 2012, and I remember liking the relaxed country vibe and the good food. Last week my wife and I had dinner there. She had a T-bone dinner and I had the 16 oz. Ribeye steak dinner, and the meals were surprisingly good. The meat was cooked to order perfectly. I think the dinners were around $23 and included a fresh salad, fresh-baked bread (personal loaf style), and real potatoes. Compared with the tourist trap places near the cluster of hotels closer to the park, we really liked it. Each and every time I've visited the staff have been friendly and really down-to-earth. The next time we visit, we will definitely stop at this restaurant for a meal.

Decor is super cute but the charm stops there. My family had the fish and chips (two small fillets tossed on a plate), hot turkey sandwich (boo), and patty melt (4 stars). Iced tea is nice and strong but waitress took forever to bring it and forget lemons upon request. We thought we could save the meal by having "world famous pie"; cherry pie filling was canned, homemade crust was good. Took a while to find the waitress and pay...a plus was that the restrooms are very clean.

We stayed here for our trip to Bryce. We chose this location, in part because it advertises a campground and motel. My in-laws didn't want to camp, so they got a room, we camped. The campground is away from the main complex. Not too big of a deal, but sucky, nonetheless. The staff at the campground were helpful. Also on the website a pool is advertised. However, campers are not welcome. Had we known this, we probably would've stayed elsewhere, hell maybe we would've gotten a room. Their reasoning is- yes the lady at the motel said this- "campers like to use the pool as a tub." We ate at the restaurant. I wasn't impressed. My son ordered an elk burger, they didn't have elk. The pie was decent, though. Come to Bryce, just stay somewhere else. Sorry Bryce Canyon Pines, you guys suck.

Just awesome family run soul kitchen. Everything is so fresh, tasty and local uniqie. Honestly, we did not hope to find a good place too eat in this faraway Southern Rocky Utah, but this place exceeded all our expectations. Ask for pie and wine menu. They made yummy fruit and cream pies, and wine menu has handful of local Utah wines.

We've been here twice in two days. On the first day we had slices of their coconut cream pie and boysenberry pie. Both were huge, homemade, and delicious. Coffee was good for a diner. (If you're looking for a Starbucks you're in the wrong part of the country). We came back the next morning for breakfast after having seen what else was available in the area. We had the biscuits and gravy and a Denver (Aka Western) Omelet. Both were well prepared and gigantic. Home run after a night of camping. It was quiet, with no wait and we were well tended to. This place would be packed if it was in NYC. You should know that the area, in general, has slim-pickins. Prices near the park tend to be high and you generally get assembly line type food. The food at the Pines is homemade with generous portions and comparatively low prices.

  • Tamara W.

We went to the pines based on reviews we read and the fact there weren't a lot of choices in restaurants near Bryce Canyon. Decor was down home country/horse type themed. Chairs at counter were recycled metal tractor seats. We were seated immediately in a comfortable booth and appreciated the carafe of ice water the server quickly brought to our table. My husband and son ordered root beer and it was served in big mason jar glasses. They said it tasted good. They had the country fried steak and liked it a lot. Portions were generous and the sauce seemed home cooked and seasoned nicely. Meat was good. I had the broccoli soup and it was bland, poorly seasoned and not that good at all. My grilled chicken salad was much better, with lots of fresh veggies, a hard boiled egg, and tasty grilled chicken. I was disappointed that they didn't have a lo cal or fat free dressing choice. I think prices were very high at $15 for a simple country fried steak. My salad was an acceptable price at $10. Overall we were fed adequately and went on our way. Certainly not the best meal we've had on this vacation, but not the worst either.

  • Paul D.

Nice room, with that motel/touristy quality you kind of want on trip between the parks. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was old, but clean. The biggest drawback was the lack of outlets. I don't mind unplugging for a night on vacation, but things do need to get charged for the road.

  • Aaron P.

This place is about your expectations. This roadside diner is a fun bit of americana. The food is not exceptional and the service is not flashy. But, it is clean, family-friendly, and food that will fill you. And, there really isn't anything else in the area. I really appreciated the effort at having some vegetarian options on the menu. They amounted to a sandwich without the meat and grilled cheese. But when I am 120 miles from anything, I do appreciate the effort. The pie is certainly a slice of very reasonable pie. You will be happy if you do not try to ask for it to be more. Again, go enjoy the place for what it is but set your standards reasonably.

Best restaurant near Bryce Canyon NP. Worth the short drive. Awesome side salad and homemade blue cheese dressing for $3.25. Homemade turkey rice soup outstanding for $4.25. Homemade fruit pies another great choice. My partner loved the swiss, ham and chicken breast sandwich she had both nights.

"Very diner like." We were extremely hungry after our day of hiking. Anything probably would've satisfied us. But we passed 2 restaurants before we came upon Bryce Canyon Pines Restaurant, we decided to stop there because there were quite a few cars in the parking lot. Apparently they are the Home Of Soup and Pie. Odd combo, but okay, I like both of those, but funny enough I didn't order either. Service was very friendly and we didn't wait long for service or our food. We saw another table getting pie, it looked delicious. The place was clean and comfortable and decorated with old west decor, quite cute. I didn't care for their soups of the day choices so I ordered the Turkey Club Sandwich, subbed out the fries for mashed potatoes with turkey gravy; potatoes were thick and lumpy but without much taste, the turkey gravy didn't help since it was tasteless as well. My companion got the Rodeo Burger, it has cheese, bacon and ham on it, The burger was a bit dry, they only serve it medium well. The fries were quite good though. We were full so passed on the pie. It satisfied our hunger.

If traveling down Hwy 12 and you see a sign Bryce Canyon Pines Resort u must STOP. Third or fourth generation owned serving what home cooking is and serving this guy's all time favorote cream pies. If I hear u passed by and didn't try a slice of fruit or cream pie you'll have some explaining to do. Great friendly folks the family is doing a great job.

After 3 meals and 2 to-go meals, I can honestly say this is THE place to go for any meal. Drive an hour if you have to. It's worth it. Good home cooking, enough choices to satisfy any appetite. Get the soup, pie, steaks, biscuits, omelette, ... It's all good! Service is excellent, and the food comes out hot and quick. Site anywhere except the booths immediately on the right when you walk into the dinning area. There are cold. The rest of the dinning room is warm and cosy.

While at Zion Lodge, we asked our waitress for a place for a light dinner. She immediately recommended this to us. We had seen the Pines before on the road but had not stopped. We came here after a long day at Bryce and it was a treat! It reminded us of our favorite place in the UP so we felt at home. We split a sandwich so that we could have room for their pie, which was fabulous! We enjoyed it so much we returned for breakfast. Once again, efficient and friendly service. The breakfast was filling and delicious. We would be sure to stop by again when in the area.

Review for the campground Since north campground was fully booked and sunset campground in Bryce canyon is first come first serve, this is definitely a safer bet after driving 8 hours from los angeles. Its nice to arrive knowing you have a camp site waiting for you. For $17 a night, it's about average price, and only 6 miles away from Bryce canyon visitor center. Once you get there, you just turn into the overpriced chevron to check in and they charge your card then. There's a general store, even with free showers too. There's a bunch of snacks and touristy paraphernalia sold. Although it didn't seem to have that much useful camping supplies. There's horse trail across the campgrounds as well as one of the 2 restaurants in the city. The campground itself was alright. Unpaved roads, very bad for my coupe =( it's not even just sandy, but big rocks/loose gravel! I swear I'm going to have a flat tire within this month! Also porter potties! No bathrooms on the campsite. The north and sunset campgrounds in Bryce canyon has normal bathrooms! =( The do have a fireplace so roast some marshmellow! Sturdy picnic table. Bad thing is the bathroom is so far, it's a nuisance to wash any utensils/pots/pans The atmosphere was alright. All the trees were pretty much young so it wasn't that scenic. There was no designated parking spot, so just park anywhere that's not blocking the road. not too many campsites, but some of the campsites were close together, hence i got woken up at 6am by a verbal fight and i could hear every word they were saying/yelling! although there's less people it could be more peaceful, yet i felt like it lacked the atmosphere of a friendly campground. Another miss is that the campground is right next to highway 12, so you hear cars zooming past every so often, and the airport is not far away, so I even heard planes flying past at night. Pretty annoying -_-"" Ruby's campground is right outside the park, and might be worth the phone call. Though if you're lazy like me and prefer to do online reservations, and all the campgrounds inside Bryce Canyon are booked, this is a safe bet. Better camping than homeless! *** Tip: They check in till 10pm at the chevron. Gas here is overpriced! Their bathrooms are open 7am-10pm (same as general store) About 6 miles from Bryce Canyon Likes: Cheap...relatively close. Has food. Not first come first serve. Online booking unlike Ruby's Campground, so it shows vacancy Do not want: badly unpaved road, porter potty, expensive gas Last words: It's Alright.

Service was friendly, unobtrusive and swift. They bring you a carafe of ice water, nice. My tossed salad had crisp lettuce and sweet cherry tomatoes. The ranch dressing was rich and creamy just like it should. My veggie sandwich was good, a basic combination of wheat toast, lettuce, tomato, onion, Swiss cheese, pickles and mayo. It came with a small bag of chips. At just over $10 I would say it was a good value. If you want something a bit more urban or sophisticated, you obviously have to go...to an urban area.

Great service, good hearty food in a freshly more updated restaurant. Compare to all of the choices directly in Bryce Canyon, this was a welcomed few mile trip. The pies are delicious, make room!!!!

We fortunately had a different experience than the previous Yelper. The outside of BCP Motel may look a little dubious (shades of the 60's) but our room was very satisfactory. We were in a unit that was far from the main building. We had a king-sized bed with a pretty comforter and at least 4 large pillows, 2 or 3 small pillows and at least 6 toss pillows. There was an enormous electric fireplace with a faux fire to look at. There was a mini-fridge and microwave, table and chairs, flat screen tv, nice bathroom with tub/shower, fluffy towels. The WIFI was down for most of our visit. Added bonus was that at night we only had to step outside our room to see the night sky and a gazillion stars! Awesome! Our motel is about 3-4 miles outside the park. We actually liked being away from the hordes of folks staying in the huge motel complexes closer to the park. ****************************** Restaurant 3.5 stars BCP has one of the few restaurants in town that doesn't cause an arm and a leg. I had the hot turkey sandwich which came with yummy homemade mashed potatoes. Too huge for me. Hubby and I shared a salad. He also had sides of veggies, yams, pilaf rice and bread. Moderately priced. One night I got a chocolate creme pie to go. It must have had 3 inches of "creme" on top.....I think it was more like Reddi whip than real whipped cream. The chocolate part was tasty, but there was not much to it. This restaurant is famous for their pies, but the chocolate pie was unimpressive. They do have several other fruit pies, none of which I tried.

Parking lot was packed which we took to be a good sign. Waited 10 minutes for any host to approach us. Should have just left but options are so slim in this town. We were seated with a carafe of ice water and waited. Waited and waited. HUGE group near us got their orders in and we knew we were doomed. 15 minutes later after dodging our table, bringing out bread for everyone else's entree orders, the waitress walked over with a quiet "apologies for the wait". We ordered and received our drinks in another 5 minutes. The chicken sandwich was dry and our other meal was missing a crucial element. Waitress didn't apologize, seemed very confused when we asked for it to be fixed and to send it back. She really didn't want to send it back.... but it was completely wrong and not what was ordered!! We still didn't have the corrected meal after another 15 minutes. By this time we had been a the restaurant over an hour. Not to mention the temperature was freezing. I saw many others in the restaurant still bundled up in winter gear too. Other tables who came in after us were served faster although I noticed that a few of them had to keep asking for the waitress or grabbing her as she sprinted by. I understand they're busy but if you aren't prepared for the start of the high season then start taking reservations, call in more servers and cooks, or turn away guests. It's better than just having them sit there and then messing up their order when they finally do get it in. Don't even think about trying the Pizza Place in Tropic as they were packed, only had 1 server and she was screaming like a stuck pig. We had to leave there, too. Hate the dining options in this area!!!

Food was decent but we waited an inordinately long time just to place our drink/food order then our soup came out minutes before our dinner. The soup and pies were quite good.

Pretty darn average for the higher prices. Considering the other available options, this is as good as it gets in the immediate area of Bryce Canyon National Park. We both had the trout and it was okay. I thought it was better than my friend did. We had a piece of blueberry pie to go - it was okay as well. The bread they served before was the best part. Seemed to be a pretty busy place - I think solely due to the limited supply of places to eat. Best part of the meal was that our waitress was really nice. Kudos to her. Verdict: about as good as it gets for the area. Don't expect a really great meal for the price though.

Cool place. Don't be put off by the outside looks. Beds are comfy, quiet place, & a great view. Nice place to stay if you're hiking the canyons for a few days.

If you are looking for a good dinner at a good price then you are at the right place. Soup was excellent, chicken and hamburger was good. Don't hesitate, just go there - you will not be disappointed.

The memorable part of the meal was the hot chocolate and homemade bread. The hot chocolate was divine. Three inches of whip cream topped on and it tasted so good in the 40 degree weather. Homemade bread was one of my faves. It's not the best I ever had, but it does deserve an honorable mention. The elk burger was just A-OK and it tasted like any other burger. Overall, I like this mom and pop store and hope it will thrive in the future.

Unbeatable location, clean, comfy beds, quiet and with hot tub - what else devoted hiker can wish for? oh - and a dinner at on-site restaurant was very good as well, and no need to drive around look for food. Will come again for sure!

Two words best describe this place - Soup and Pie!. We've travelled the Bryce/Escalante/Zion area extensively (we're Mountain Bikers/Climbing enthusiasts) and hands down, this is the best place to eat on Hi-Way 12. Have eaten here about 7 times in the last few years, and the service/food has always been very acceptable. The pies look and taste homemade. We've had the Blueberry, Apple, Lemon Chess, and Buttermilk. No complaints. Soups also seem to be homemade. Their Chicken Noodle was very tasty, as was the Tomato Basil. Probably the best Vegetable Beef on Loop 12. Aside from Soup and Pie, the Trout and Steak dishes are very good, and are accompanied by different veggie options like broccoli and rice or potatoes. Either lunch or dinner is fine, but the wait at dinner time can be lengthy. Ambiance is very warm and inviting, and the staff are very friendly. The interior is kind of old-style with white walls and brown furnishings. By no means is this a five star eatery. I'm nudging it to 4 stars because it's decent food in the middle of a largely unpopulated area. In a way out location, it's nice to find acceptable food. Especially after days of eating rehydrated meals and Clif Bars. LOL! PS - Avoid Ruby's Inn and Restaurant like the plague! It's RANK!

So, I rarely take the time to write a "bad" review, but, I consider this more of a "warning" than anything else. The people at this place are friendly, though, the pace is slow, and the servers disappear and are not attentive like in any good restaurant. No biggie there, we're all on vacation, right? chill a bit! Here are the main issues: 1. Fish - we ordered the FRESH caught trout, and it was WAY overcooked, so much so, that it tasted as if it were frozen not fresh. A damn shame as far as I am concerned. The server did NOT ask us how to cook it, so perhaps ASK for rare or medium. When we told the server the fish was way overcooked, there was no offer to replace it, which we consider common at any good restaurant. Advice: Don't order anything complicated here, stick to something really simple. 2. "home made pies" - truly no good. My pie was the sour creme raisin pie, and was composed of about 90% raisins, 5% sour creme, and 5% crust. So, if you like Raisin overload, choose this one. What was my expectation? An even blend of both raisins and the sour creme filling. My girlfriend ordered Blueberry banana creme pie, and when she "disected" it, it had about 5 slivers of banana, and perhaps 10 blueberries!!! I am NOT exaggerating. The rest was a pillar of creme filling on top of it all. I can only say, Costco makes better pies. 3. Mashed potatoes - were runny and came with a Ton of gravy on them, without being asked, so, if you like gravy, great, but if not, we suggest you ask for it on the side. 4. Vegetables - were very "al dente", but, we prefer this to WAY overcooked where all of the nutrients get destroyed. Finally, since all of the people seemed friendly, ASK to undercook your fish, again perhaps ask for MEDIUM! This might solve the overcooked issue, as for the pies, well, perhaps you'll like them better than we did, but, otherwise, we'll set Marie Calendars as the standard for the best non-gourmet, average, main stream, non five star pies around. Sadly, rumor has it, the same family owns ALL of the food joints around Bryce, so, don't expect much of any of them and you'll be satisfied. Other tourists we ran into expressed a similar disappointment in the general quality of food around Bryce. But, this is only one review... They could use a little competition!

I asked the Lord to help me find a decent place to eat dinner on Thanksgiving day, since most other places in the Bryce Canyon area are closed for the holiday, and the only other option (Ruby's) had really low reviews. This is where I was brought. I ate and I was satisfied. I am very glad was able to find good food after hiking all day and not having had warm food (only cold sandwiches, trail snacks, and fruit) for two days. Thank you Jesus! (and Yelp as well). I tried the trout, which the menu said is freshly caught in Utah. It was a little bland at first, but dipping it in tartar sauce made an excellent combination. I don't eat fish other than salmon often so I wanted to try this. Certain parts of the fish skin was pretty good too. They also gave me some complimentary cranberry sauce since it was Thanksgiving. It had some raspberry mixed into it, which gave it a unique flavor. They had a Thanksgiving special which had turkey, yams, stuffing, and the works, but I skipped out on it to try this trout. It sounded pretty good though. From reading the other reviews, I avoided the steamed vegetables and got the mashes potatoes and rice pilaf instead. They were pretty good. Others reviews say the fries are pretty good too.

I think I was there the same night as Michael C., what a coincidence! OK, the reality is, this is Bryce Canyon. It ain't SF, Las Vegas, or New York. There are few restaurants in this area, and really all I'm searching for is decent food where I'm not disgusted like Ruby's (*cough* *cough*). This place serves home-made comfort food. They're famous for soups and pies, and we had the chicken rice soup -- the chicken base was rich and comforting. I had the open-faced turkey sandwich (they had run out of baked potatoes and mashed potatoes) while my boyfriend had the fish. Both were above average, and hit the spot. I spent the next day contemplating if the mashed potatoes were homemade and sorry I had missed them, because a lot of the items seem homemade. Yes, the steamed vegetables were probably previously frozen, but the bread that came with dinner was too yeasty and fresh -- that was definitely homemade. But let's talk about the pies, because that's what this place is famous for. We had an apple pie and a banana blueberry cream pie. My cream pie was fabulous. The flavors reminded me of Thomas Keller's Bouchon in Las Vegas, where we had had breakfast earlier that day. I think it's the heavy cream which is fresh and natural. I'm guessing this restaurant has access to fresh cream being so close to cows and Bouchon spares no expense at getting the best ingredients -- so it's interesting to see the common ingredient from both places. Each bite of the pie was remniscent of a slice of Americana life. It was a long wait -- we waited 45 minutes because people were done with their meals but not getting up to leave. No fault of the waitress. I'd come back next time I'm in Bryce if I had time -- the wait is long.

BAD SERVICE!! So, the waiter did not come to us for about 10 min,,, I could see there were enough waiter, and other tables were getting served. We were waiting, and waiting, and one of the costumer who saw us getting impatient told one of the waiter, and she told us someone else is will be there shortly.. And, about 5 min after that, an old guy came.. WE WERE DEAD HUNGRY after the travel and all the stuff... WHY couldn't other server help us, if he is not around or busy or whatever reason?? Anyways, about the food, we got a soup, salad and a fish entree and fish sandwich. The bean n bacon cream? soup was way too salty. Fish was not flavored enough. though it was not over cook or under cook. The side steamed veggies were over cooked and it became a little chewy.. I could see they were old too. I did not try the fish sandwich, but my dad said it was ok. Salad was ok. The only thing I liked was the bread. It was freshly baked, rich and yummy. But the overall experience was not good. So, avoid. BUT if you just want to eat bread, I think this is the place..hahaha

Wow! This unassuming little place was GREAT for a warm lunch after a blustery snowy morning in Bryce Canyon National Park. Soup - wonderful. Pie - lovely and filling. But the bread was best of all!! We hit the road back to Zion with full bellies and goodwill toward all!

We came here because I could not bring myself to eat at Ruby's we had such a bad night there and wanted to get the heck out of there. Pretty decent breakfast and super nice people. Went for the corned beef hash. Kept me going all day through Escalante. Omelets look good too. Coffee is terrible as usual in these places.

Small, cozy restaurant with gas stoves -- it was 35 degrees this morning when we left Bryce -- and friendly, attentive staff. Great pancakes & sausage; fresh eggs, hash browns, and good coffee. Breakfast at the Pines is a lot better than what we had at Ruby's.

My wife and I ate dinner and breakfast at Bryce canyon. There were only two waitresses so the service was slower than I liked after a long day of hiking, but the food was good. I had fish and chips and my wife had a club sandwich. The best part of the meal was their pie....the coconut cream pie was devine! Breakfast was less packed and tasty as well.

Considering the location and the unavoidable touristy clientele (If you are looking for Michelin 5 star restaurant, don't come to Bryce Canyon at all.), this place has been underrated. This is a truly-enjoyable local restaurant, with amazing and caring service and great home-made food.

We were going to go to Foster family steak house but the person behind the desk at the best western said they were good but the Pines was better..... So we took his advice and went to the Pines.... It is always a good sign when the place is packed with locals.... My husband had the steak which was excellent, but it was Trout that was to die for..... I have had trout right out of the stream fresh and this trout was just as good:) You might have to wait 15 to 20 minutes depending on the time you get there but it is worth the wait.... Oh and an added bonus, the pie is homemade and great:)

We had the ribeye, which was good; a hamburger which was a large, hand-formed patty but the meat had those little pebbles in it that hamburger sometimes gets (but I ate it all); and the chicken fried steak, which was fine but not the best ever. We also had the lemon pie, which wasn't quite as tart as I like, and the boysenberry pie which was just fine. The French fries were especially good - crisp even after they got cold on my plate. Service was friendly. It was a good meal; not especially cheap, but worth going. Also, not many places are open Sunday so there was a line out the door when we left at 7:00 p.m.

Unfortunately we chose this place because it was around $55. Did have Wi Fi but beds were a bit hard, heater is very noisy, no breakfast but they did have some fruit and coffee and we could make toast. All in all we wish we'd chosen the Best Western Ruby's Inn in town for about $6 more, it had free breakfast and the inside of the Inn looked so comfortable with a big fireplace and plush couches and chairs, etc. We made a wrong choice here.

We stayed here in October 2012 and I'm a little slow getting this review written, sorry. I read reviews when picking this hotel and they helped me a lot so I wanted to return the favor. I booked the hotel on line and was given a rate of $50.00. When I got there the clerk said there was an error and the room was $100.00. We hadn't had a vacation in over 3 years and we were on a very tight budget. 2012 was a full year for us with a lot of life changes so this trip was a real treat. She said the other customers didn't complain and paid the difference. We negotiated and she gave us the room for $70.00. Still not cool but she had us, the hotels down the road were $150.00. This is the only complaint I have. We had booked two nights and we even added an extra night, she could have made us pay $100.00 for the extra day, but she didn't. We had a queen cottage and it was adorable. Extremely clean, warm at night, good enough to stay an extra day. The restaurant was more than adequate. Yes, the wait staff was good and bad but the food was fine. I think people forget your not in L.A. with a local farmers market down the road for all the freshest ingredients. This is an isolated place, its why you go. Get away from traffic and smog and breath and hike and remember how majestic our beautiful United States is. Lord knows the place was packed with Europeans doing just that and not complaining. My advice, if you drive to visit these parks, bring an ice chest and pack it up. Bring your gourmet cheese and have a picnic with the best view ever. Bring sandwich fixings and all your snacks, fruit and what not. They have stores but the selections are slim and very expensive. I would definitely stay at this establishment again. Perhaps next time I would make the reservation over the phone. Why pay more for a room that is probably not much better. Advice to the hotel, it might be time for some new mattresses, ours was a little lop sided. Not terribly uncomfortable, but new ones soon. Advice to all Americans, see our natural wonders. They will take your breath away. And one more thing, the pie is great! Like in all of Utah. We had pie on our way back toward Zion too (Ho made pies) and it was great.

Lots of people made for long wait to be seated. But it was worth it. Our server did not let the crowds dampen her spirits; she made us very welcome. Other Yelpers said to try the soup and pie; so we did! Yum!! The hamburger was good too. Good meal, good price.

I have been here in incredible beautiful Bryce Canyon for the last four days. It has, shall we say, been culinarily challenging...with the exception of Bryce Canyon Pines (BCP). BCP is a cute restaurant with wood burning fireplaces, some cool dairy worker's metal chairs, big tables, comfy booths and friendly staff. I am a soup-nut, and had soup 3 out of the 3 times I visited BCP. I had the roasted tomato macaroni twice and the cream of broccoli once. The bowls are huge, a meal in themselves, homemade, excellent quality and taste. My father had the ribeye steak and the trout, both were very good, not excellent, but very good. On all 3 outings to BCP we had pie: banana cream, cherry and boysenberry. All were excellent, the crust was homemade and perfect. When you visit Bryce, eat at BCP.

Stayed in this hotel on my way to Salt Lake City, it was cute and quaint, however.... When we went for breakfast we asked to sit at the "bar area" we were denied our request and sat in a booth, we sat unrecognized for 20 minutes. People who came in after us were served and leaving before we had water. Even after asking for a server we were ignored. BTW openly gay couple in Utah no big surprise. The kicker was we paid $105.00 for the room and had water that was directly linked to the kitchen, what does that mean you ask? We checked in at 7 PM we listened to the water pressure change every 5 minutes as the dishwasher was right next to our room. I sleep better to white noise so it was all good... The next morning however was HELL~!!!! I got in the shower waited 3 minutes for hot water the HOLY FCUK, it went for nice to WET SAUNA The water was so hot I jumped out of the shower screaming, as quickly as it when to HELL HOT it went to ARCTIC FREEZE. When I went to the Front desk to inform them of the water issue I was told by the manager that it was normal and the kitchen was not to use the dishwasher between 8AM and 11 AM Which posed a whole load of new questions? If you are not using the dishwasher how are the dished glasses pots pans etc... being cleaned??? This place was CRAZY BUSY, There is no way any one dishwasher could keep up with and provide perfectly sanitized equipment. I was never offered a discount or refund or even a free breakfast. The staff was a little inept. Perhaps because we were the only English speaking people there maybe they were confused. Most of the other guests were European Like I said CUTE as hell but not worth the money

Restaurant only review: They get an extra star for being so darned nice and serving homemade pie, but the food was bland and mediocre. And prices are high! For what you pay at a mid-range mouthwatering SF restaurant, here you can get an iceberg lettuce dinner salad, a couple of rubbery "grilled" (as in the flat diner grill, they mean) chicken breasts, some mushy veggies that have been cooked to death, and the most boring mashed potatoes I've ever had. Food is way better down the road at Ruby's, though it's also overpriced and not that great. The pie was also not that good, and that's what they're supposed to be famous for. I know good pie. I grew up in Oklahoma and I've never had a pie better than the pies my grandma made. Did someone actually say this reminded them of Bouchon? Huh.

Warm diner with comfort food. This place felt like quite the beacon after driving for what seemed like ever in the cold and dark. Several fireplaces were lit, grilled cheese and fries were great and they even have beer.

We got a tip from the lady at the shuttle bus window who was very helpful on explaining the tour options of not only Bryce, but Zion and on to Grand Canyon. She said "all of the locals eat at the Pines". We did not like the feel of Rudy's, about the only other option for a meal so we headed down to the Pines, about 5 minutes away from the hotel. It has a family country feel to it. Mary had a melt in your mouth ham, chicken breast and melted cheese sandwich. The fries were not greasy. I had a salad that was average. The cherry pie lived up to the billing of being delicious. They had local micro brew beer available. Good meal and friendly staff.

Really cute place with average food which is what you would expect given the location. (My trout was decent but my partner's pork chop was very tough almost to the point of being inedible.) However on the plus side: - They have a separate drinks menu serving Utah beer and wine. We had a bottle of Chenin Blanc which was very drinkable. Being Mormon country it was also very refreshing that you had to ask for the drinks menu rather than having it forced upon you like most big city restaraunts. - The space is oh so cozy and a perfect way to spend the evening after a day of hiking. - Service was wonderful. No attitude and just very wholesome and decent is probably the best way to describe it. I though it was interesting that your server brings the open bottle of wine to your table but they don't actually serve it to you. You have to do it yourself. (That happened several times while eating at Bryce and Zion Canyons.) - And finally, the Pie Menu is spectacular. So many choices. If you like pie this is the place to go. We tried the blueberry banana cream pie and the sour cream raisin pie. It was soooo good. Bryce Canyon Pines is somewhat out of the way from the heart of Bryce Canyon but well worth the short 3-4 mile drive.

one of two choices in this town, we tried them both. the place was definitely cute, i'll give it that. it had a little fire place in the dining area. the lady was friendly too. i had the blt. pretty simple. and not bad. was it delicious? no. i would be nervous to try the dinner options but the sandwich was decent. and the pie was ok. a little too gelatinous for my taste. but good.

I just came back from dining at this establishment. Here are my comments: 1. Long Wait - It seemed to be a busy night and we were asked to wait for 10min before being seated. This was typical for most restaurants. However, once we were seated, it was another 15min before our waiter came to take our orders. We placed our orders with the only waitress available at 8PM. Our food didn't arrive until 8:25pm. 2. Okay food - I ordered the turkey sandwich with mashed potato and cranberry. The gravey was thin and watery and the mashed potato lacked salt. The cranberry was straight from the can. The pie was pretty good, but certainly nothing spectacular. 3. Warm Feel - The restaurant has a really warm feel to it and has some unique wall decorations including a worn leather straddle and wagon wheels. Conclusion - I think I would come back for their pies. However, I think I might go to subways for a sandwich before coming here.

Went here after reading the reviews about Ruby's. Would have given 5 stars, but the gravy on the country fried steak was a little salty and the waiter didn't seem to be having the best night, then again it was snowing pretty heavily and we were the only customers. Otherwise the country fried steak was above average and the mashed potatoes and fries were definitely homemade. The elk burger was Awesome!!!! The fresh made bread was killer. We noticed the fresh pies sign on the way in to Bryce and this is definitely their signature. The slice of hot apple pie was the size of 2 large hands and the mound of vanilla ice cream was of equal Paul Bunyan proportion. Total bill was $34, and definitely would go back

The description of the first review (I don't see it at all). I had a great experience. From the time we arrived until we left, everything was great, especially the service at the restaurant. The staff was friendly with everyone and the food was really good. The prices seem to be the same at most of the restaurants. The room, and maid service was great. We stayed 2 nights and after the first night we were asked if we needed anything (towels, garbage emptied, clean sheets, etc). We stayed in one of the cottages and really loved it. It was cold outside but warm and cozy inside. The price for the cottage was great as we stayed in a couple of other hotels for more money and far less service. I would recommend this place to everyone, unless you are just too picky for anything to be acceptable. King bed, mini-fridge, microwave, tv & free wi-fi.

*** I will clean this up when I return from vacation - We've been in Bryce Canyon for the past two days, Bryce Canyon Pines has been THE best dining experience that we have had. In another review someone posted something to the effect that Bryce Canyon "City" is somewhat of a "Culinary Wasteland" which perhaps isn't far from the truth but there are a few hidden gems and this place is one of them. Lets start with atmosphere - on the outside this place looks a lot like it probably did when it was opened back in the early 1900's - sort of situated out in the middle of nowhere 3 miles outside of the city on route 12 (will update directions later but take a left out of BC City on 12 and its about 3 miles on the right). On the inside there has been some major renovations. brightly decorated in knotty white pine paneling with cowboy deco and a ton of light - very inviting. Nice cozy booths, a service bar complete with International Harvester Farmall tractor seats and numerous table for large parties. You know a place like this is good when it's busy and amongst the patrons are obvious locals. Bottom line - inviting, cozy and comfortable. The service was incredible. There appeared to be a single server for the entire dining room, a hostess and a bus boy - thy were on it - service was perfect. On to the food - my wife and I both had the Rainbow Trout, mine with rice pilaf and fresh steamed veggies. The trout was incredible, done perfectly and quite tasty. The rice and veggies were the perfect complement. They start the dinner with a very nice home baked loaf of bread which i don't think that a crumb was left of. The wine and beer list is perfect with lots of local micro brews, a couple of CA wines and local wines from Castle Creek winery (Utah). We had a bottle of the Castle Creek red table/ranch wine which was perfect and not break the bank expensive. We both by recommendation by the waiter had the Boisenberry Pie a la mode. If we hand't asked the waiter to stop scooping I'm pretty sure that we would have had a quart of ice cream each with the incredible pie. This place claims it's fame to home made soups and pies - I have to say that expectations were exceeded with the pie and unfortunately i did not try the soup but expect that it would have been excellent. So of the 3 places that we ate dinner at this was the best and I have to say if we were here another night we would be going back. So we have eaten dinner ate 3 different place but we did do some reconnaissance on the other places in Bryce City and some we wouldn't step foot in- call me a food snob but we all have our standards which the Pines easily exceeded! We're returning tomorrow for breakfast so I will include the breakfast review as well.

Good food near Bryce Canyon. We had the rib eye steak which was tasty and not unreasonably expensive. Their vegetable soup was not distinguished, even though it was homemade, and I would not order it again. Service was very friendly. Recommended.

My sister and I were starving and cold after a long day of hiking at Bryce. Then it started raining. So much for a campfire.. we packed it in and drove around "town" trying to find a place to eat. Bryce Canyon Pines had "Homemade Pies and Soup" on it's sign, we were sold! Our dinner was pretty average, but the PIES are amazing. We had the blueberry, I'm sure they're all good..

Stopped for lunch after visiting Bryce Canyon. Food was very good and satisfying. Try the homemade bread and pie. Delicious. Only one waitress working but she was smiling and handled everything like a real pro.

A nice place for a meal around Bryce Canyon. Lovely service and classic meals with some nice touches (local trout for example). Hearty but not overwhelming portions and the pie is heavenly. Solid choice.

We stayed at the Best Western and searched Yelp for a nearby restaurant, this one was pretty highly recommended. We had the Mozarrella sticks, a couple of sandwiches and a fresh lemonade, all were really good. Diner was charming and the service was great.

Felt like we walked into my aunt or grandma's house. Wait staff was excellent. Even asked if interested in sampling the soup. Homemade soup was great. Elk burger was okay. Portions on some items, like the ice cream was rather large. Nice rustic place.

Nice room, with that motel/touristy quality you kind of want on trip between the parks. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was old, but clean. The biggest drawback was the lack of outlets. I don't mind unplugging for a night on vacation, but things do need to get charged for the road.

Should have come here from the start!!! Except for the lodge this beats all the other restaurants. On Hwy 12 just a couple of minutes from Bryce. Great service and friendly people!!!

It's RANK!

This place offered some good atmosphere and good cheese burgers and beer. The service was good. Pick this place over anything at Ruby's.
