Yes, sometimes I leave California and travel other places. How did I end up in Bountiful? Don't ask. So, you're in Bountiful and want to eat. Where to go? Village Inn? No. McDonalds? Never. Only option? Sizzler. How does Sizzler rate? 29 of 50 Fussy Fusspot points and 3 stars. I'm giving Sizzler 3 stars? Oh, it's a little embarrassing. But they earned it --- Clean table and dishes? 3 of 5 points. Dishes were clean. Table not so much. How clean can it be when it gets a wipe-down every 45 minutes between customers. Clean server? 5 of 5 points. Our server was clean. Gay as a whistle. Probably still in high school. Hang on little gay Sizzler Utah waiter! Life will get a LOT better. Clean bathroom? 3 of 5 points. Mostly clean. Subtotal = 11 of 15 Fussy Points on the Clean Scale. Service? 3 of 5 points. Service was pretty good. Ambiance? 2 of 5 points. It was a Sizzler - can't expect too much. But still it was OK. Friends from Finland Practical Scale? 5 of 5 points. It is EXTREMELY practical. Big parking lot. No reservation required. You know in advance what to expect. The very definition of practical. Food? 4 of 10 points. I ordered my steak medium-well. It arrived medium-rare. The onion strings were cold and soggy by the time they arrived. Amazingly the steamed broccoli was perfect. Price/Food ratio? 4 of 5 points. So this is the category that moves Sizzler from 2 stars to 3 stars. An OK dinner for 4 at less than $40. Not bad. Bonus? 0 points. No bonus. Sorry Sizzler. Total: 29 Fussy Points.

WORST EVER. There melon slice was bad!!! It was sour and smells weird so I told to waitress and she just said 'oh really?' And grab my dish and go back. Really? No I am sorry or anything? Don't go this place.

The atmosphere was some what festive but other than that I wouldn't reckon going there. The service was slow and lousy. The food was well below par.

I have never omitted a tip from the bill in my life. Had I of paid, I would have. Terrible service, no refills, indifference, and the brownest, emptiest, saddest excuse for a salad bar to date... And I love salad bars like an addiction to crack. Sorry Bountiful. 1 more bites the dust, shrinking our "healthy" options to next to none.

Not a fan of sizzler. Been here a couple of times, always when someone else paid. The cheesy Texas toast is good on the first bite then your stomach starts feeling loaded with grease. Clam chowder is good. Salad bar isn't anything special. Raspberry lemonade is good. Entrees are seriously lacking. Ribs aren't good. Chicken cordon bleu isn't that good. Seafood isn't that good (big fried shell and small amount of seafood). Steak isn't that good. The only things I like are the raspberry lemonade and clam chowder. That's no where near worth the price.

We really like this place! Great salad bar. Very fresh and clean. Lots of healthy options. The fruit is especially pretty. Employees are super nice, and the manger quite generous and thoughtful. He let us use a promo gift card plus a coupon! Best place to take a group or guests or kids, cuz there's something for everyone! And the buffet is better than Golden Corral, because there's a lot of variety, yet it's not packed and trashy.

Waited forever to pay too much for the salad bar. All the food at the salad bar was awful, most of the food was gone or mixed with other food and the ice cream machine was broken.

This was my family's first time to Sizzler together and I have to say it was the most impressive experience I've ever had from this type of restaurant. When we arrived, we were welcomed warmly, but nothing that stood out. The manager soon fixed that by coming over and introducing himself. After talking to our 5-year-old daughter for a while, he even offered to comp her meal. I ordered the cedar plank salmon which was worthy every penny. It was hands-down the best fish I have had in the state of Utah. The salad bar was excellent, offering tacos and soup on top of the great selection of fruits, vegetables, cheeses and meats you could put on your salad. The dessert bar was nothing special but that's alright. I honestly walked into this place expecting the same thing I get when I go to Chili's or Applebee's. What I got instead was an unparalleled level of service and an excellent meal. My family and I will definitely be returning.

I'll give them 4 stars for the salad bar. That's why we go. Steaks are so so. Chicken is fine. Sides are pretty good. But the salad bar is a staple. The service has vacillated quite a bit. Probably with changing management.

I give this place one star... Because of the foul tasting broccoli. I kid you not the broccoli pasta from the salad bar is disgusting. It tasted like ash tray, or the aftertaste of a cigarette. Their fruit tasted a little weird too, like it was just sprayed with veggie cleaner or something. I had lunch their today, I can't say I would be excited to go back. Sadly chuck a Rama tastes better.

Ripoff! Up until today, I associated Sizzler with steak. And when I come into a steak house and order the buffet, I expect to find steaks. Instead, all I got was a $13.97 salad bar. The only meat offered was fried chicken wings. There was also spaghetti without meatballs. There was no green beans, corn, potatoes, or any other form of cooked vegetables. The salad bar was great, but turns out to be about all there was for my $13.97.

Figures we go to dinner and I forget my phone at home! As usual I got the salad bar, ( the best around) hubby had a steak and it was over cooked. Not the greatest service we only saw our waitress twice, and there were only about 3 other tables with people!

4 of us arrived after lunch, 1:30pm. 3 servers working, finishing their lunch customers. 3 of us served ourselves the salad bar, when we returned to our table we still did not have cutlery or drinks. .after about 5 min I helped myself to cutlery for all of us. We had a good start before the server came out with our drinks and one persons side salad. If this sounds like more self serve then sizzler's normal experience, it was. During our 1hr30min visit not one drink was refilled. No rolls or toast were ever offered or brought. But there were about 4x's the mints we needed on the offering plate from the server. The salad bar was excellent, fresh and hot food and perfectly clean. The burger and fries tasted old and warmed over, the Salmon, however was enjoyed by the person who ordered it. Although the experience was substandard for most restaurants of this level, it seems to be sizzlers best, lately. This never my choice of places, but when my friends are in the mood I go.

Can I give zero stars? I guess not.... The one and only reason I went to this establishment was due to a pregnant women & her cravings.... and I must say, it will be my last visit to any sizzler restaurant ever. My server was apologizing before our food even came out. The steak was about as tender as my work-boots and over seasoned. I ordered my steak mid rare, it came out rare, the pregnant woman ordered her mid rare and it came out well done.... & how for the love of god can you screw up Malibu chicken... oh yeah, deep fry it and leave it under the heat lamp while the rest of your food is cooking.... Even the salad bar has shrunk to next to nothing and is not the freshest in the world.... I guess I know now why they are advertising $10.00 dinner/specials.... They need to get you in the door somehow.... The problem is, they won't catch me in this trap again... I won't go back.... Sorry guys, zero stars across the board.....

Still sitting here waiting for my food. Everyone in my group is done eating. Ain't the first time. It seems that about 1 in 3ish visits is disastrous. Just see Dan T's post. Ugghh.

It's a Sizzler, what do you expect? The staff here though is exemplary! I have to say that if anything would bring me back it is the people that work there. Everyone was super friendly even when we showed up right at closing time. Staff is 5 star, food is Sizzler.
