Saw this from the side of the freeway after making my way home from the DMV. I have been having a sweet tooth lately, and chocolate sounded just right, so I pulled into the lot. I reached the door at 11:06. It was still locked despite the store hours sign showing opening at 11. I knocked on the glass a few times, and finally the women, I am assuming the owner Kathy, answered the door. She had been taking fresh baked cookies out of the oven when I had peeked in to make sure someone was there. So there were three types of offerings here - cookies, coffees and ice creams. The cookies are displayed in the case, and there was the usual chocolate chip, sugar, chocolate peanut butter etc. There was also some more interesting ones like saucer shaped ones with filling including a key lime one that looked delicious. The chocolate dipped cookie looked divine. There was also bags of mini chocolate chip cookies if you wanted to share, of if you wan tto save a few bucks, assorted day-old cookies sit in a basket packaged together and marked at 50% off. The coffees included iced and hot coffees including frappes, cappucinos, java floats, and even hot chocolate a well as regular coffee. It was a good selection of hot and cold items for any weather. The ice cream they serve is Dreyer's brand, which really is not my favorite, but they had a good assortment of sixteen flavors including some sorbet as well. You can order one of three sizes, a kid scoop. single scoop, and a double scoop. Regular and chocolate dipped waffle cones are available. I saw a marble stone, and toppings, so I am thinking they can mix those in there for you. I ended up getting a chocolate chip pecan cookie. The owner asked if I would like the cookie heated, so it was microwaved and presented to me in a sleeve. I believe it was $1.59. I went ahead and sat down at one of the six small tables and munched on the tasty sweet treat. It was ooey, gooey, nutty, and delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. I could have washed it down with milk or a fountain drink that they offered, but I refrained. I saw a sign that said you could make your own cookie sandwiches, which might be a fun idea if you can't decide between ice cream or cookie. They also create giant personalized cookie cakes for those parties and other special occasions. Something that I thought was a nice touch was the basket of chalk at the tables. They are used for writing and drawing on the long chalk board running along the wall. More than likely I will return when in the area. It's nice to have a quick dessert when on the run.
