Clam Chowder clean Lobster Roll solid. Buttery bread. It's like the roll was soaked in butter then crustified before serving. Blackened Redfish. Excellent pan sear. Let me say that I appreciate the owner. He came by to ask if everything was ok. He asked if there was anything else we wanted and my parole officer wanted an additional side of Asian cole slaw. Great service.

WOW! Just ate their for the first time tonight and wish I would have know about it a long time ago. We started with the lobster roll and crab cakes, both were delicious but lobster roll was my favorite. It was melt in your mouth fabulous. The bread they serve is also top-notch. I had the sea bass grilled and would highly recommend it. My husband had the blackened grouper which was equally as fresh and tasty. Service was also terrific. We can wait to return!

Outstanding super-fresh seafood and great service. We had delicious shrimp, grilled swordfish, halibut lightly battered and fried. Sides were great, loved the spaghetti squash and mashed potatoes. Service was incredibly fast, cheerful, and attentive even on a crowded Saturday night. The atmosphere is casual, friendly but fairly noisy. Despite the informal look this is not a cheap place: our entrées were in the $25-35 range and completely worth it. Highly recommended!

This staff here has always been pleasant to me no complaints about them but the owner he definitely has no people skills AT ALL #rudeasshell and he don't care. But the smoke salmon dip is really good. Pretty much the only reason I go there.

I have been here four times and have never been disappointed. The service is fantastic and the food is all delicious. Today we started with the crab cakes, which are the moistest, most wonderful crab cakes I have ever had. My husband had the shrimp BLT w/ guacamole. The shrimp were succulent and perfectly seasoned. I had their pasta special, seafood and mushroom ravioli w/ basil cream sauce, which was also incredible. We come here anytime we want to splurge and have some of the best and freshest seafood in DFW.

Simple to describe: Fantastic, a cannot miss restaurant! Beyond the fresh, close to the source fish, Richard was tremendously informative on the details of the dishes-further enhancing the experience! Don't leave without trying the Key Lime Pie!

Tried this place for the first time today. I will definitely return. The service is excellent and there is a huge variety of seafood dishes to choose from. I enjoyed the fish tacos but am looking forward to trying the lobster roll as well as the large selection of fresh fishes and other seafood.

So my Google maps got us lost and it took awhile to find this place, but it ended up being well worth it. We had the tuna nachos for an appetizer and oh boy was I in heaven!! The service was very nice and the food was VERY nice. It is a little pricy for the small portions but the quality makes up for it immensely. Will definitely be going back.

By far the best seafood in DFW. Even better than the high end, pricey seafood restaurants such as Eddie V's etc in my book. This place has their seafood flown fresh daily. They have a standard menu that is offered year round and another menu that changes monthly. We'll venture out of our comfort zone every now and then try a few of their appetizers on the monthly menu. We tried the artichoke crab dip bread bowl once and it was pretty good. It lacked a bit of flavor, but the amount of crab you get is very generous. The snow crab claws in the buttery lemon garlic sauce is divine, but not worth the $16 price tag for 5 claws. I have yet to try the fist here only because the New England Lobster roll & Clam Strips as so amazingly scrumptious! I always order the clam strip roll & lobster roll for dinner. The clam strips are so fresh & sweet. It isn't chewy and frozen like all the other restaurants. My husband absolutely loves the lobster bisque here. He says it's a tie between Pappadeaux lobster bisque and Seabreeze for his favorite. It's very rich & creamy & has big lobster chunks in it. My husband used to get the lobster roll or their fried seafood platter, but he's finally settled on the fried clam strip platter. It's just THAT good. The lobster roll here isn't as good as Luke's Lobster in Manhattan, but it's pretty darn close. The flavor of the creme brulee changes monthly, but the consistency is great. It's not too runny or too thick. I've tried the vanilla, pumpkin, and chocolate flavors & they're all delicious! By far my favorite restaurant. It's a bit of a drive now that we moved to Irving (35-40 minutes) but it's worth the drive!

The lobster roll here is my absolute favorite. This my me time place to go. I like coming here alone. I enjoy the food, this is definitely a hidden gem.

Delicious seafood, had the mussel pot and key lime pie. Both were so good, and the market is very welcoming.

We had reservations for a birthday dinner, and were pleasantly surprised by this joint in suburbia. The hostess was prompt but the waiter wasn't on same page. We ordered the copper sockeye salmon daily special, which came on this awesome bed of spinach, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry and candied walnut salad. However, the salmon was overdone and that just took away from the dish. The blackened redfish, recommended by the server, was overdone too but was well seasoned and came with a good corn pudding and avocado sauce. While we were waiting for our meals, I sauntered over to the fish market within the restaurant and started chatting up the fish monger, and found out from him the redfish wasn't best fish but oh well. It's definitely not cheap...so I would recommend that you asking the chef to not over cook the fish.

One afternoon we were looking for a restaurant to have late lunch and actually wanted to try Mignon. However, it was closed and we didn't want to drive around and found this lovely spot. We have no regrets for trying a new eatery. Fresh fish daily, great services, what else can you wish for on quite Sunday afternoon. We had Lobster Roll as our appetizer. Exceptional, but small portion. We are in Texas, right? :) Lobster Bisque was very delicious. I lived in London too long and missed my fish and chips. Loved it! Fresh, no fishy smell, perfectly fried and yummy. My boyfriend had seafood platter - it was ok, he said. Overall, we liked the food, service was great and the waitress gave us to try different soups before we decided which one to go for. I am surprised nobody has written a review yet. I would recommend. Very casual place, no need to dress up.

I wasn't sure if I should give this place a 3 or 4 stars. So I'll sick with 3.5. My first time here it was awesome, we had a party of 8 no reservation and they sat us quickly and I forgot the guy's name that was our waiter. He was awesome and great! I will say their lobster roll is really good and so is their seafood pot. But when I came back the 2nd time and tried other food on the menu it was just okay and at that time we had another lady serving us and she was horrible. Then I went back again a 3rd time and I tried their lobster bisque and that was good and service was good. So all in all just eat their lobster roll, seafood pot and bisque and you are good to go. I wish I remember the guy's name that serve us the first time because he was awesome. I would come back when I am craving lobster roll.

Okay, let's start with this ... seafood places always make me nervous. You either get really good, or really bad, there just isn't much room in between. Make no mistake here - Sea Breeze Fish Market and Grill is really good, and when it comes to seafood, I'm usually hard to please. Let's start with the decor. Shiny and almost spartan, the place is small but impeccably clean. There is a slight "fish" aroma when you first walk in, but after a few seconds you don't notice it. Seated quickly, we were brought some crusty bread with a plate of herbed olive oil. Excellent! One point about the service here ... at some point through our dinner, our bread had diminished and had been replaced without us even noticing. Another small thing done perfectly. It's the little things like that most establishments do poorly at. Our server was attentive, yet very busy. Our drinks arrives swiftly, as did my clam chowder. With a lot of chunks of clam, the chowder was quite good. I can make better, but at $3.99, why bother? It was very tasty and I had to force myself to stop. My wife ordered the grilled mahi mahi served on a bed of sweet potato hash and topped with a melon relish. She would have preferred a sauce of some sort, but my opinion is that the flavor of the mahi is a bit delicate, and a sauce would not do. At any rate, she ate every morsel. For myself, I was torn between two or three items, but our server (so pleasant and friendly) indicated that the crab stuffed shrimp was one of her favorites. Since I had been leaning that direction anyway, that's what I went with. For sides, I got the house salad and the whipped potatoes. The salad had greens fresher than what normal folks can buy and were topped with some tomato chunks. I got the bleu cheese dressing, which came on the side. The taste of the dressing was not sharp at all, and had a sweet edge to it. Wonderful. My wife even liked it and she hates bleu cheese. The potatoes were quite good as well, rich and creamy. The crab stuffed shrimp is easily one of the more outstanding things I've eaten in a long time. The stuffing was very tasty, and the shrimp done through nicely, and all drizzled with a sweet balsamic vinegar glaze. It was so amazing, I couldn't keep my wife's fork off my plate! At six shrimp per serving, it was just the right size. For dessert, we shared the chocolate blackberry bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. It was so good. By this time, I was to the miserable stage, I was so happily full. Affordable, even with drinks, appetizer, two entrees, and dessert the total was @ $65. Far cheaper than most other places. It's not pretentious, but it is impeccable in many ways. The wait staff were all professional, yet playful and charming. We will definitely be back again and again and again!

Food is really good, great fresh seafood. But for the high prices I'd prefer to go somewhere that has the atmosphere, service, and wine list that matches the prices. This is definitely not a bad restaurant, and I'll probably eat there again. I've eaten in the restaurant twice and ordered take out 3-4 times. It's just for the prices and quality of cocktails and wine list, I'd rather sit down and dine somewhere else for the same price.

  • Arash M.

I think seafood this fresh in a land-locked area like Dallas, is worth the price. In this case the pricing is moderate and reasonable for the atmosphere and food. Overall, much better than places like Rockfish without Oceanaire prices. It's worth the short drive if you live further away.

Lobster Roll. If you go to Sea Breeze and don't get the lobster roll, you are missing out. It is made with a very generous portion of very fresh tasting lobster. Very decent beer and wine selection as well as a full bar. Not good for larger parties, but great for parties of 4 and such. Fish is very fresh but be careful, it is easy to run up a large tab while you are there.

Gave the place a try today for lunch. Didn't want to spend $25 on a lunch entree so ordered a Shrimp Poorboy with Grilled Potato Salad and Slaw. Also had a cup of the gumbo. Gumbo was not bad. I would have preferred it a little spicier but nothing a little Tabasco didn't resolve. The Poorboy was excellent. I chose to have the shrimp fried. There were six large shrimp on a toasted roll. The shrimp had to be extremely fresh with excellent flavor. By far, this was the star of the meal as it should have been. Grilled Potato Salad sounded interesting but really wasn't anything special. Grilled Red Potatoes with not much seasoning. Definitely not what I would call potato salad. Last but not least was their regular coleslaw. They also have an Asian version. It was very creamy and fresh. A basic but very good slaw. Service was very good. Our drinks were kept full and we were even given a to go drink. All and all a very good meal though as I mentioned, the $25 price tag on many of the lunch entrees I thought was a bit pricey. I'll be back the next time I'm in Dallas for some of those tasty shrimp!

I have dined at Seabreeze many times and always found the food very good and consistent. My complaint with Seabreeze is that the prices are too high, even on the lunch menu. I hope they look at their pricing scheme and come down to earth as most items I see I would not get as they are too pricey.

In agreement with the previous Yelpers, yes this place can be steep but I would much rather that than paying the price later for eating bad seafood. Am I right!? When I am in the mood for some very FRESH seafood I make the trek up north to ogle over all the variety of fresh fish they have. It is a fish market in every sense of the word. They have the fish displayed in the case for you to gaze while you wait in line to pay up front. No fancy dining here. Though I am not from Baltimore or Maine, I would think this is how a standard fish market operates. I could be wrong. But what I do know is that I like it. Despite the casual set-up of seating yourself and paying before you eat, the service was grand. They were super friendly and helpful. I've been numerous times and if you are a steamed mussel fanatic this is the place to be! I recently had their Sea Bass that was so perfectly cooked and dressed with some delicious balsamic concoction. Their house salad shan't be overlooked either. My crazy aunt who ordered everything off the menu almost fell out of her seat in awe of how fresh the fish was. She HATES sea food. We converted her due to the help of Sea Breeze. One last tip: HUSH PUPPIES

GREAT lobster roll sandwich. Comes with a salad alongside - very fresh, spring greens. The roll is on the smallish size but perfect for a light lunch. The one advantage to this roll is that it's not dripping with mayo.

Great seafood but don't go in Sundays. They were out of several menu items we were craving because their seafood is delivered Mondays. So it's the most fresh and the most variety earlier in the week. Portions are great, too. Not huge and can leave a very hungry person wanting, but it's refreshing to see smaller portion sizes.

We think about this place when we crave lobster rolls or grilled smelts (which they did not have this time). This place has everything from crab cakes, mussels, sandwiches, to take home seafood goodies. They do serve alcohol if you are in need of a booze. This time when we went, we couldn't help but notice the giant scallops you can buy from their fish market offerings. The atmosphere is is very relaxing and comfortable. We love this spot for a casual seafood lunch. If you are just in need of some fresh seafood to take to go, this place can also help with that. I have to warn you though its not the most affordable selection but the seafood does look fresh and the quality is probably better than what you can get at Whole Foods. We started out with their seafood salad. We loved it. The salad had all the ingredients we both love. A generous portion of crab meat and big shrimps dressed with a creamy mayo base sauce, hearts of palm, briny capers, sweet tomatoes, purple cabbage, and crisp mix lettuce. The vinaigrette was snappy and cool, very refreshing on a hot summer day. The seafood was very fresh. Everything about this salad was delicious and definitely a great way to start. Our main entrees was of course the Lobster Roll with hush puppies and our choice of their potato salad and rice pilaf, and their Avocado Shrimp BLT with fries and herb spaghetti squash. The Lobster Roll was filled with luscious lobster meat in the buttery crisp roll on the out side and soft on the inside roll. Unfortunately the sides were lacking in flavor and incomparable to the goodness of the lobster roll. The rice was not a rice pilaf. It was dry, flavorless, and not worth eating. It tastes like Uncle Ben's brown minute rice. The potato salad was bland and not the creamy or smooth texture you would like. On the other hand, the hush puppies were excellent! They were loose yet crunchy but soft inside, very nicely done. The Shrimp BLT was okay. Shrimp was fresh, bacon was crispy, and avocado was creamy as it should be. The ciabatta roll was good but the sandwich as a whole was missing something to pull it all together. We added some tarter sauce to give it some richness and flavor. The fries were well made, not too oily, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The spaghetti squash was buttery, the feel of it in your mouth was good, a different kind of crisp but still under seasoned. Overall the meal definitely had its misses. We found many of their sides lacking in flavor and the quality of ingredients (especially the rice) is not up to par. On the other hand if you are coming for the Lobster Roll, we highly recommend, but everything else was just okay or left on the plate for us. We would give this place a 5 out of 10. This is a serious five star, redefining five star ratings forever. My redfish was probably the best I have ever had. We came here after returning nasty shrimp, scallops and fresh fish to Whole Foods that had a stench. I love that you can get food this amazing without the pretentious waitstaff and white table cloths. Feel like I'm back in Louisiana!!

Eh. Not worth it at all. This place is over the top expensive. Spent like close to 80 dollars for two dinner entrees and an appetizer... and was pretty underwhelmed. The lobster roll is delicious, but so tiny. And for 14 bucks, that isn't really ok. One of our two entrees was pretty tasty, the other one was awful. Also, the ambiance is really casual so don't come here for a nice dinner date or anything. Good seafood is always a win, but this place doesn't offer a consistent enough level of quality to justify the prices they charge.

Great service at the bar and the food is decent nice ... The crab cake from the outside look appears to be battery crush mix but actually not as thick as I would expect... The crab meat taste good but not as moist and leas sweetness of the crab meat ... It is ok as it meets my expectation The New England combo is decent nice as the 1/2 lobster roll is very tasty but extremely small however it tastes so good that I would recommend a full order instead of the combo ... 3.5/5

Protip: Sign up for emails and you get an a free appetizer! But PRINT IT OUT because they won't take it from your phone (something that I didn't realize until I was there and missed out on). My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night and it was packed! Last time I came here, which was about 2 years ago, it wasn't busy at all. We waited about 10 minutes before we were seated. You get complimentary bread which is nice. My boyfriend got the fried catfish while I got the lobster roll and a cup of clam chowder. Since we weren't able to get the free appetizer, we opted for some calamari instead. -Calamari: Good amount and it's sprinkled with parmesan slices. However, aside from that, the batter was plain and the mozzarella sauce that it came with was good but so watery. -Clam chowder: So good! Definitely get some while you're here. -Lobster roll: It's hard to compare this to other lobster rolls because I've only had a handful in my lifetime, but I really enjoyed this. This lobster roll is definitely one of the better ones I've had! They give a lot of lobster and the roll is delicious. You get 2 sides with this, and for $13.99, this dish is a steal! -Fried catfish: You also can choose 2 sides with this. I only tried a few bites but I honestly did not like any of the bites I had. The batter was overpowering the fish, and it was also so grainy! If they lessened the batter, I think this dish would be a lot better. Looking at other tables, their cooked fish looks amazing, so I'll definitely have to make another trip here sometime. Otherwise, I can recommend the clam chowder and the lobster roll!

I don't think I'm ever coming back. Although their lobster rolls are delish, my friend found a bug in her food. She called to tell them, but they didn't seem to care. Not cool. And totally disgusted me.

I am so impressed with this place. We found it through Yelp & so glad we are able to add another restaurant into the mix of our go-to restaurants! The decor is very clean, modern & inviting. The staff is busy taking care of diners & extremely friendly. Our waiter was Josh & he took excellent care of us. The food was great, yes a little on the pricy side but you get what you pay for & enjoy the ambiance while you're at it. I highly suggest the Smoke Salmon Club sandwich & the lobster rolls. We will definitely be back!!!

The shrimp were good, but the side dish that came with it was, well not very good. I'm not sure what was in it, but I wouldn't order it again. The Halibut was good, but again the sauce and the side wasn't that great. The gumbo was highlight - it was good. It felt like they were trying to hard to find something different to offer. The total was $85 for two - not worth it for us. Growing up in Florida I"m used to having great seafood. It was simple, clean and delicious. For us this night wasn't worth it. I think we would try someplace else next time.

First time trying at sea breeze fish market:) I personally love the atmosphere of this restaurant which you will smell the seafood everywhere once you walk in.. We ordered clam chowder, lobster roll and cioppino. This place didn't disappoint us:) Clam chowder was a bit watery, but it was still good!! Wish there was more clams and other stuffs in the soup though. I would give 3 out of 5. Lobster roll was divined!! It was marinated enough to taste lobster meats and sauce and I will give a big plus for the buns!! It wasn't just plain sandwich buns, it was grilled with butter and garlic. I can careless about their sides that it comes with which it was just okay anyway. Last but not least, cioppino!! What else can I say? It was delicious!! I had the best seafood risotto from San Francisco and I can never find something like that in Texas. But this plate reminded of seafood risotto that I had from San Francisco! Soup had full of seafood taste to it and shrimp was chewy and juicy! There was shrimps, mussels, clams, squids and fish with some vegetable. I wish there was more seafood in the plate though and I would expect to see more seafood in a plate for the price. Overall, I enjoyed my experiences with this place and I would definitely go back!

Delicious!! I highly recommend it! I had the grilled Tilapia and my friend had the seafood salad and both were incredible!! Service was good too. It was a little cold inside so we sat outside and that was very comfortable.

Let me start off by saying I am from the east coast and grew up on the Cape and the best sea food God has to offer. Now that I live in Tx I had given up hope that good quality east coast seafood could ever be found, unless I flew back home but that was until I ate here at Sea Breeze. Service: our waiter was Josh and he was great very attentive and always checking in with us but not too much . 5 Stars Appetizer : Tuna nachos were delicious , I would come back just for this . Also the shrimp cocktail was also great shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly. 5 stars Soup: Now I am an expert on New England clam chowdah. Their chowdah is top notch and was like a taste of home. It was just sublime. If your from the East coast you have to come here and try their chowdah . It will be like your at the Cape. 5 stars again. Entree: I had the New England clam boil for two with a friend who is from RI . We were so happy eating this meal, we almost cried. It was such a great taste of home. The Lobstah was crooked perfectly . The little necks were also cooked perfect and were so sweet. The corn was sweet and crunchy. My only complaint was the Lobstah was pre crack or as we call it up north Lazy Man Lobstah. I prefer to rip apart my Lobstah on my own. The only thing missing from this Clam Boil is Portuguese Sausage called Linguica. I give it 5 Stars. I can't wait to come back and try there Lobstah roles and their fried whole belly clams.

It was amazing to find this mom and pop seafood restaurant in the middle of Plano! The feeling here is of a fine New England fish house or a Greek seaside restaurant where the fish are caught and brought in by the restaurantier fresh daily! At Sea Breeze seafood is brought in fresh daily from all corners of the world. Excellent chefs, knowledgeable and friendly wait staff, and a quality of seafood dishes that would be difficult to exceed! After a delicious and relaxing meal it is not over. Ask to see the desserts menu. Desserts are made in house...a rare experience in our buy already made society Don't miss your chance to be a part of this excellent neighborhood restaurant where they will eventually call you by name! !

Came here just in time for their happy hour (4-7pm) :) Loved the salmon dip and their french fries surprisingly. Their signature lobster roll was okay. I've had better and for less $$. The flounder dish seemed a little undercooked and didn't have much of a taste to it. It's a cute restaurant/seafood market though. Our server was real nice even after he got cussed out by the table next to us for some unknown reason. I will probably give this place another shot in the future.

Seabreeze offers the freshest seafood in Plano. They have a very creative kitchen and offer different specials for each month based on what's in season. My fiancé and I like to split the mixed grill or one of the specialty items for the week. When I'm not ordering one of the specials, I like the crab stuffed shrimp and the Taste of New England. Also, their desserts are home made and suited to the fresh seafood options. The service is usually really great and I always feel like I'm getting the freshest seafood around! Also the crab claws off the specials are so very good, drenched in butter.

Came back here with my parents and we were all impressed with the dishes. Let me preface this review by saying that we have eaten fresh seafood all our lives and have mostly lived within close proximity to an ocean where day catches are always available. The service was impeccable as always. Our waiter was very attentive to my food allergies, which I appreciated, and told me exactly what steps they can take to accommodate me. We started with the gumbo and mini crab cakes. Both were very flavorful, but I would recommend the crab cakes here over anything I've had at any other place in Dallas. My dad got the fresh-catch halibut and my mom got almond-crusted shrimp. They both really liked their dishes. I got the lobster roll, which was great for $14 (I think). It came with a medium lobster roll stuffed with fresh lobster, seasoning very well with light mayo and some herbs. It also came with two sides of your choice. Hand down, the best I've ever had. And at this price point, you could even have it for lunch. Too bad this place is in Plano, I hate tracking up here but my efforts are always rewarded by this consistently great place.

We came here on a Saturday night and there was a bit of a wait. We had a large party (15) and was able to be split up and seated within 30 minutes. The turnover was pretty quick since this place is casual, so most get in and get out. There is a decent amount of tables and of course the market (glass displays of seafood) surrounding the tables. There are a few booths in the back corner as well. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. I ordered the beer battered fish and it was supurb. The breading was not too overwhelming and had a nice flake to it. The fish tasted fresh and the brown rice pilaf that I chose as a side was great as well. The rest of our party enjoyed their meals and it is definitely a family friendly place. I'll be back! TIPS: They do offer cooling classes here which sound interesting You can spend in the $$ range or some of their market price and full dinner entrees run into the $$$ range.

I was really excited to come here to try their lobster roll because I missed NYC's lobster rolls and I was told this place had them. We were quickly seated upon entering as there were plenty of empty seats. On one side was the "market" part of the restaurant where they displayed varieties of fresh fish. We sat near the back at the booths and ordered the ahi tuna nacho appetizer, lobster roll, and the crawfish (1.5 lbs). The appetizer was really, really good. The tuna was fresh and the taste was amazing. My only gripe was the portion size. I wanted more, but it was more of a delicate tuna piece on nacho that was more sushi like than what you think a dish called Nachos would have. That was fine. Then the lobster roll came out and I'm not going to lie, I was a little bit disappointed because again, the portion size was...well...a bit mediocre. Also, the sides that came with the lobster roll were nothing to be happy about. They were edible, but I guess I want food to be more than just...edible. Despite the size, the lobster roll itself tasted really good with the "roll" or toast or whatever kind of bread it was being perfect. Now the crawfish was what brought the review down to just 3 stars. Portion size, they couldn't really go wrong with a 1.5 lb crawfish. It came out, it smelled good, we were excited. Then we picked one up. That little mudcrawler nearly just fell apart in our fingertips. On top of that, there were tons of just claws and broken bits in the bucket that weren't attached to any crawfish. So we talked to the waiter and he seemed surprised and told us that the crawfish was always made fresh and put in for just 7 minutes and he didn't know why they were that soft. He even reached in the bucket to feel them to make sure and agreed that the crawfish was super soft. WHICH WAS A SHAME BECAUSE THE TASTE OF THE CRAWFISH BOIL WAS ACTUALLY DECENT. Then the waiter left and didn't do anything about it. *sigh* Maybe next time we go the crawfish will be better and we just got unlucky with that bucket...

Just had it for lunch, it was an excellent meal! I had the lobster roll with fries and house coleslaw and also ordered a cup of clam chowder. The lobster roll definitely stresses the lobster, it as at least 80% lobster meat and absolutely delicious. The coleslaw was different than the stuff we usually eat in the South, but it was good also. Fries were just basic fries, were good enough. That chowder was great! The meal also came with 2 hush puppies, those were really pretty good. I will definitely be back, best NE seafood I've had in Plano/North DFW.

Besides the food being AWESOME the service we received from Hannah made the evening just perfect. The meal was great. Small place, but very enjoyable. We went on a Friday night, and the wait was not long at all. We started with the Fried Calamari with Grilled Tomato Marinara and Parmesan Cheese, there was three of us and it was the perfect size and the taste was great. I had the Seafood Paella with Shrimp, Scallops, Calamari, Clams and Mussels and it was done to perfection. My wife had the crab and she's still talking about it three days later on how good it was. My daughter had the seafood pizza that I got to try and I will be having that next time it was so good. We will be going back soon and will always make sure we get seated at Hannah's table so we get great service with a big smile.

Mussels were amazing. Large portions for the price. We also ordered a lobster roll, it was good but a tad bland for our taste.

Always enjoy eating here. We came at 8 pm so we got seated right away. Our waitress Jann was fantastic. She was very attentive and knew her menu. She quickly offered the specials and made some suggestions. We ordered 2 lobster rolls and a salmon sandwich. The lobster roll is always a favorite for us. It's has lots of flavor and is decently priced , $13.99. The salmon burger was cooked a little dry, once you got to the center of the burger it tasted ok. We definitely recommend this place. Great service and great food. The chocolate martini is also very filling.

This was a great little place. We decide to eat here even though it ended up being a 45 min drive for us. Started off with a very pleasant server named Caroline. Who made the whole experience even better than the food and the food was really good, so the 5 stars are just as much about Caroline as they are about the food. This review is a little past the time we were there so memory isn't serving well as to the exact food items ordered, but everything we had was very good. So I am lead to believe it wouldn't matter what you ordered, I'm sure it would be well prepared and very tasty as ours was. Ask for Caroline when you go there.

My favorite seafood place in town! I have NEVER been disappointed by their seasonal menu. The fish is extremely fresh and the dishes always savory. Sign up for their email newsletter and you can find out about what's in season and also get a spectacular and generous appetizer for free!

Found this place via the back section of D Magazine, decided to visit immediately since was hungry and only had another hour before the place closed (8 PM on Sunday). Our waitress was awesome: very personable and attentive, did not detect fakeness there. We had the lobster roll ($13.99) and mussels pot ($14.99) - both absolutely excellent, and may I mention, very reasonably priced. Their house Cabernet was very good as well. Will definitely be back. Probably tomorrow.

Love this place. I had the potato crusted haddock. Prices are fair and the fish is fresh. Only complaint is too much ice in waters. I drank fast. Food is great.

The food: 4/5. I've been to Sea Breeze twice for lunch. The first time I got mixed greens with their house special lobster salad, and the second time I opted out for grilled shrimp instead. Their lobster salad is very light and tasty. The greens in the salad are always fresh, but the grilled shrimp I got the last time wasn't peeled property, so I ended up accidentally swallowing a few shells. It's a very nice option for a light lunch, but lunch fish entrees are overpriced a bit. The service: 3.5/5. The service is always attentive but it always seems they're trying too hard. Overall: 4/5. A great spot for lunch if you like seafood.

Very nice place in the back of a great shopping center. Went there with about 12 friends to try the lobster roll. It is really good, lots of lobster and the sides perfect. I think everybody like the food, as far as I know. Service was great too. Our waitress was very nice and kept things going with a smile and positive attitude. The ambience is very cool. You have the fish market right there, in case you want to take some fresh fish home. Very laid back but that cool place vibe type of laid back. There are some tables outside and I always see people enjoying themselves there. Definitely a great place to go.

Yo Boston I think you've got some competition!!! This is by far the best Lobster Roll I've ever had outside of Boston Harbor! The crab cakes are phenomenal and all their fish is fresh! I love the selection. You can get everything from fish and chips to a catch of wild Salmon. Also be sure to check out their market! They have daily lunch specials that are sure to please anyone! Coming back as often as I can.

I personally love this place. Although I was born in DFW, I grew up on the Gulf in Houston and Galveston and am use to being able to get good seafood at any given moment. So finding a place that has good seafood was too priority when I moved here from Houston in 2010. A friend recommended this place and I have been I love ever since. Mu was so pleased with the food and the fact that it's a fresh seafood market as well. Sure the price point is a little higher than average, but for the quality, cleanliness, friendliness and atmosphere, you can't beat this place. The owner is very active in the day to day ops and is very friendly and informative. I'm fortunate enough to get all my lunches expenses by work, and spoil myself and go to this place often. I HIGHLY recommend this place to any seafood fans or someone just looking for a good fresh seafood market with a friendly and knowledgable staff.

The fish is INCREDIBLY fresh. Small quaint place. We went on a Friday night, and the wait was about 20 mins... Aside from the Lobster Roll appetizer, the plates were a little underwhelming. For starters we had the lobster roll. It was the best. We'll go back specifically for this. not too much mayo. super fresh lobster. The fish and chips plate was good and a decent portion. The batter was a little underseasoned (if seasoned at all), but the fish was so fresh, we assume maybe the fish speaks for itself. so, not a huge deal. I had the crab stuffed shrimp. The shrimp were huge and you get about 6 to the plate.. Good portion. Unfortunately the crab stuffing was a little meh.. Also, they drizzle it all with balsamic, which is a little over powering and doesn't quite suit the plate. Finally we had the lemon blueberry creme brulee. The lemon flavor ad texture was great..unfortunately the dish it is served in was so shallow and they throw in so many blueberries, there isnt really enough room for the custard, and for 8 dollars for the serving, not worth it :( This review isnt crazy good, but we will go back for the losbter roll and give them another shot with fresh fish.

Frankly it was just ok. Would have given it a 2.5 star but that's not an option. Ordered the stuffed cracker shrimp- ok, rice pilaf - ok, roasted cauliflower was good but room temperature. I wouldn't choose this place again, pricey for the quality and taste received. Cheesecake again ok. The ice cream cake was great will give that a 5 star.

My wife and I went to Sea Breeze yesterday 8/2/2015 for an early dinner. I had the lobster roll with hush puppies and slaw, my wife had the fish tacos with a side salad. The food was wonderful and the service was great. We will be returning to try some of their other dishes.

I went here last night with a few friends and my husband. The service was great and the location was nicer than I'd expected. It's a casual place, but I thought it was going to be dumpier. I had the crab cake which was awesome. My husband wasn't as impressed with his dish. He felt like he could have flavored it better and didn't thing what he got was worth the $23 that he paid. A friend of mine got the crawfish. The server raved about it pre meal. Post meal, after my friend said she wasn't a fan bc of the lack of seasoning, the server told her that the batch after the one she got was way better. Well eff. She took it off my friend's tab so that was nice. Not sure if we'll be back, but that crab cake was pretty bomb. Husband has to like the food though!

As a native New Englander, (Rhode Island specifically) I highly recommend Sea Breeze for both dining in or for their take out fresh seafood case. When you enter the premises, it smells like fresh seafood as if I stepped back into my home state's Horton Seafood (the best back in RI). It is a casual atmosphere, complete with a bar, outdoor seating, and live lobsters near a very long glass case full of beautiful fish, crab legs, etc for people to take home. Cloth napkins make dining feel special. Great service. Prices are a bit high, but for fresh seafood in Texas this is normal. The beer battered fish was excellent. First time I had fish n chips since leaving New England, and it was heaven! My husband had grilled scallops. Huge! Perfect! Will go back again! Soon I hope! I did buy fresh haddock from their case recently. They have the fish overnighted from New England. Never frozen!

Mediocre food that are overpriced. Service was slow. I wouldn't come back. My family and I came here on Saturday for dinner. I had the New England lobster roll, which is the main reason why I wanted to try this place. I was very disappointed when my plate came out. The portion was extremely small compare to pictures I've seen on yelp. The buns are one slide of sandwich folded in half, with two sides: fries and house coleslaw. It didn't fill me up at all especially for $13. My boyfriend's dad and I also ordered the clam pot after our meal because we were still hungry, but it didn't make any difference. Towards later the night the place started to fill up quickly and that is when our server stopped paying attention to my table. I used to be a server so I am pretty patient when situation like this comes up; but we has to constantly look for our server to refill our drinks and take more orders. With the lack of service and overpriced food, I wouldn't come back to this place.

Dined here with the BF few days ago because I've been craving for really good lobster roll. Found the place on yelp (of course!) and decided to try it out. The restaurant is pretty far from where I live, but the area it's located in is pretty nice. When we got in the bf wanted to check out the "fish market" right away and the first thing he said was, "Their price is pretty high and the fishes don't even look fresh." (Sweat) The guy can be pretty picky with his food lol. We had the clam chowder, lobster roll entree: comes with 2 sides (I got the fries/rice pilaf) and he got the fried clam roll (roasted potatoes/rice pilaf) Clam Chowder: I liked the soup. Wasn't the BEST I've had but it wasn't bad and it was pretty good to me. BF said: Eh. My food: It comes with a lot of lobster which is a plus. But the lobster itself was tasteless. I felt like I was just chewing on something rubbery. The 2 sides were pretty average too. I did like the roll that the lobsters came on. It has a delicious, buttery flavor :) His food: He hated it. His potatoes weren't cooked all the way. His fried clams also felt like you were chewing on rubber and he couldn't even finish half of his food (and this guy can eat a lot) Our server was a nice gal. Quick & attentive. I think I've paid $33 for our food.. However, I probably wouldn't go back again since it's quite far and there's nothing I would really go back there for. If any of you have a better suggestion on awesome lobster rolls, help me out! :)

I have never been disappointed here. Everything has been delicious. We always get the clam chowder (that has crab meat) for an appetizer and it never disappoints. Some of the main dishes can get a little pricey, but it just reflects the market price. The lobster roll is delicious, but I wish it was bigger. Make sure and try the chef specials, they are wonderful. You will be glad you came here.

Probably the worst seafood I've ever had. The service was good, the drinks were good but the seafood was just not good. I've lived on the coast and know good seafood. This wasn't it. Pricey and bland.

My first time experience with Sea Breeze was shared with Josh, who made it a great one! He gave his honest opinion and had quick service. I loved his hospitality and felt right at home. We started with the clam chowder which had lobster, do I say more?! I ordered from the specials of the day menu and received a spicy panko crusted soft shell crab sandwich. Overall it was good and I will be back.

One of my favorite places for seafood, we have come here for years and never been disappointed. Love the ahi tuna nachos as a starter. More favorites are the crab cake sandwich, lobster roll and the fresh catch can't be beat. The kids meal with fish sticks is fresh real fish, which as a parent I appreciate that it isn't some mash of random fish. The hush puppies are delicious, too. You can't go wrong here. It use to be more of a hidden gem and was half the size, but it's still great through all the years.

I write this review with shame because everyone had SUCH great reviews on this place.. We walked in and were quickly greeted. The outdoor seating area is somewhat tight, so we couldn't sit outside *sad face* but we have our pick of seating indoors. This place is definitely not what one would expect. It's nicer than casual and is bright with a cute bar to the right when you walk in. Then they have the seafood they are offering on the right hand side. It was a really nice and fresh selection. So if you didn't know quite what you wanted, you could ask questions and get inspired. Our waiter Sofie was a sweetheart and gave us some recommendations. We started with the oil and bread..this oil was delicious. Had the Clam Chowder, which was equally yummy (although I would love more chunks). Then it was downhill from here. I had the Halibut with roasted corn and broccolini. And my dining partner had the Swordfish. What we agreed on was that our vegetables were COLD and the fish was subfar in flavor. We requested our veggies be made again and unfortunately, our replacements did not arrive until the we had picked over and "finished": our fish. After staring into the kitchen, we noticed that the chefs were not in sync. The veggies were cooked well before the fish was ready and so when it was plated.. surprise.. things were not warm together. So I'm glad we got a chance to see what the hype was about but for value, quality, an flavor.. wouldn't go back nor would I send anyone over.

Get any thing but the crawfish etouffee ($15.99). It was awful--tough crawfish, and absolutely disgusting roux--Odd tasting, indescribable flavor. Something went wrong. Everyone tried the etouffee and 'hated it'. Salmon Club Sandwich was good. 13.99 Lobster roll was decent considering it isn't just caught lobster (i.e. Maine when in season) $12.99 (we ordered 2) Chowder was good too 3.99 Total bill with tax $64.90.

Seafood is tricky. When you do find a restaurant that prepares it well the sides, appetizers and desserts are often something of an afterthought. Sea Breeze gets it all just right with creative combinations of flavors and textures expertly crafted. I had blackened redfish with a sweet yet subtle pineapple salsa on a bed of sweet potato and corn hash. It was wonderful. My wife had potato crusted haddock with creamed spinach and mushrooms that was as good as it was inventive. Our desserts were delectable: she had freshly made key lime pie and I had the Grand Marnier creme brulee. I have had both many times but none better. I could go on but I'd rather go back, and I will. These folks know what they're doing and they obviously do it with much joy.

The hot artichoke and crab dip is phenomenal! My husband and I also enjoyed the lobster rolls too. The bread really makes the roll delicious.. so buttery and so flavorful! The sides are just ok; we had fries, coleslaw and pasta salad. Overall, I would come back to try more of the menu.

I set out for a good seafood joint and stumble on this one and I believe it is as good as I will get in the immediate FRISCO/PLANO area. This is (seafood) a tough cuisine for far North Texas in that outside of the big box ( Papadeaux's and Razoo's) no chef won't to venture into the competition. I guess I'll just have to fully commit to traveling to Dallas proper/ Eddie V's.

Best seafood I've had in TX since I arrived from Chicago in 1995. Great service, they have their own internal fish market and a fabulous menu. You will not be disappointed. Fair price for the quality and well worth it. Get there early or be prepared to wait!

If you've ever been to New York and had a Lobster Roll from Luke's, then you'll understand that once you've had one, you on a search for other places you visit, that has a good Lobster Roll. Although it's not Luke's, Sea Breeze is a great little fish market here in Plano that delivers a great Lobster Roll!

The lobster roll is as good as everyone says! Definitely a must have when coming here. The sandwich looks small when it comes out, but there is a good chunk of lobster in every bite. The toast that they put the lobster on is just buttery goodness. Was actually quite full after finishing the sandwich and your choice of 2 sides. I will be back to try more of the fresh fish this place has to offer!

One of our favorite fish markets! Atmosphere: 4/5 - Casual and dive-type feel to it. We usually get seated at one of the booths near the back. Service: 5/5 - Great & friendly service. They usually have good food recommendations and come to check on you frequently. Food: 5/5 - One of the best Lobster Bisque in town! It is rich, creamy, and you can definitely taste the lobster in it. Lobster Roll is superb. It's one of the best rolls you can get in Dallas for the price. The buttery toasted New England split bun is ingenious. Really adds to the overall flavor. Swordfish Sandwich.. One word: Wow! Best swordfish sandwich I've ever had! I think this entree may be seasonal so if you ever see it on the menu make sure to TRY IT. I was a little disappointed not seeing this on the menu on our last visit. It's basically a grilled swordfish in between a buttery toasted ciabatta bun with bacon, arugula, and a special aioli sauce. Until we meet again!!

If you don't like this place, the only logical reason, is hat you just don't like seafood..... So why on earth would you be here you muppet?!?!?! Seriously, I had the lobster roll, as suggested by all the other yelpers (lol yelpers, sounds like a group of dogs). I was not disappointed. The sandwich came out very fast, and was a nuclear explosion of seafoody (I know it's not a word stfu) awesomeness. If Chuck Norris was a sandwich, it would be the lobster roll here.... Actually that's Bull$hit.... If there was such a thing as a Chuck Norris sandwich, it would have a fist..... Anyway, eat here, it's epic!

This might be one of my new favorite spots! The owner took our order and I told him that I was in the mood for a white flaky fish with some kind of white sauce over it and there was nothing on the daily special like that. So he said he could have them pan sear some halibut and easily whip up a lemon butter sauce for me and put it over some creamy potatoes and cauliflower gratin. SOLD! Ordered the lobster roll as an app and it was amazing! Big chunks of lobster claw meat mixed in creamy goodness wrapped in buttery toast grilled to golden perfection. May have been my fav part of the meal!! My bf had the clam chowder which was equally amazing. Creamy and rich, with well balanced seasonings and pieces of clam throughout it. Then came our entree that he made especially for us. It was everything I had hoped for. The fish was perfectly cooked and was nice and flaky. The lemon butter sauce was the rich and flavorful with just the right amount acidity to it. Delicious! Then just when we thought we were too full for dessert, we went ahead and ordered the key lime pie. This may have taken the cake as the best part of the meal. A thick graham cracker crust filled a with a creamy tart custard topped with whip cream. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again. The owner was so friendly and accommodating and the food was top notch. We will def be back!!

I've been looking for a lobster roll in DFW and this place was a great place to try it for the first time! Based on Yelp reviews, this was a place I wanted to try. For my birthday my fiance brought me here ^___^. Service is excellent. Hostess informed us of a 20 min wait, but it turned out to be less than 10 minutes while we walked about the plaza outside waiting for a table. Through the windows, this place was packed to the house on a Saturday night at 7:30pm. We informed our very lovely and pleasant waitress Jann that it was our first time at the place and we were dying to try the lobster roll. At first, each of us wanted to get the taste of England (Cup of Chowder, 1/2 Lobster Roll, 1 piece Beer Battered Fish, Clam Strips, Fries and Coleslaw), which sounded awesome to get a flavor of alittle bit of everything to try. She kindly advise us that we would be slightly sad at the portion of the lobster roll and suggested splitting the Lobster Roll plate and getting an entree to share. We took her up on splitting the Lobster Roll plate and each got an entree off the Specialty menu. Oh boy! We were excited and it did not disappoint. Lobster was cooked well, sweet, and not too much dressing. Toast was crunchy and buttery but still soft in the middle - just wonderful flavor and texture complimenting the lobster. The lobster filling has mainly whole claws and an even portion, not overfilled (although I wouldn't mind if it was!). We picked sides of potato salad (not your traditional southern potato salad either... see pics and Asian coleslaw packed with refreshing flavor and not making you feel heavy at all). The specialties were delicious (1) Asparagus and crab meat stuffed Flounder on pancetta stuffed crepe with sun-dried tomato butter sauce and the 2) Sea Breeze's Red Shellfish Paella With Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Scallop and Calamari) and good portions we had to take a bit home since their fresh baked french bread with dipping seasoned olive oil was so homey and comforting we nibbled on it in between courses. If I had to pick between the specialties we had, I loved the stuffed flounder, fish was tender and cooked perfectly. Good thing my fiance and I don't mind sharing plates and enjoying FOOD :) Jann surprised us with my choice of key lime pie which is generous portion to share but since we love desserts, he had to get one of his own of the raspberry white chocolate creme brulee. I highly recommend both. Key lime pie presentation is simple but beautiful with sauce swirls and fruit garnish. Whip cream is subtly sweet to the tart key lime. Crust is very buttery and sugary, but hey if I'm having a dessert this is it! Creme brulee caramelized sugar on top is perfect and the custard is smooth with actual vanilla bean and raspberry fruits. Busing staff was excellent with removing finished plates and drink refills. Spot on service. Decor is simple with white and light blue walls and shipping boat mural and simple dining chairs and a few booths. There is outside seating in the plaza. One side of the place had the seafood counter so you can buy fresh seafood to prepare at home. I had a wonderful birthday with my love celebrating. We will definitely be back and bring more people!

Great food, great atmosphere! They even offer a cooking class. $50 a person-four course meal, house wine, and you learn a lot about fish. Hank is the one of the chefs, he cooks in front of you and does a great job explaining how to recreate the intricate dishes at home. Highly recommend!!

What a great find and experience for our first visit here. My wife and I stumbled upon this nice little seafood joint last night. After looking at all the wonderful reviews here we had to come in. We were immediately greeted and seated. Love the decor here as it is set up like a New England seafood market/shop. Very cute and romantic IMO. The place is very clean as well, though not huge it is roomy. They have their normal set daily menu as well as a menu loaded with the specialties and daily specials as well. We were informed they receive fresh shipments of their seafood daily and for the Alaskan selections they personally inspect the fare at the airport themselves now that is fresh folks! My wife would order the potato encrusted haddock and the lobster bisque. That lobster bisque was amazing. Some of the best I've ever had that is for sure, I want more now typing this. The haddock was an excellent dish I very much enjoyed the bite I stole from her plate! I ordered the taste of New England (a nice little sampler of some traditional NE fare). This started off with a bowl of the clam chowder, much enjoyed and it was loaded with clams. The plate would contain a beer battered fish fillet (this fish was so fresh, flaky, and moist with a nice tangy tarter on the side), a half lobster roll (so sweet and buttery I wish it was bigger), fried clams (so fresh and lightly battered they were the best fried clams I have ever had), hush puppies, fries, and slaw. Everything was good and I was completely satisfied and I washed it all down with a nice white wine (it was happy hour 4-7pm). Our Server Jann was a wonderful lady. She was extremely attentive and took time to strike up conversation and get to know us a little. She explained everything very well and answered any questions we had about the menu. She even added a second glass of wine for my wife though it had passed the happy hour time at the HH cost. Jann would offer us dessert which I was so full I declined until she noted she makes them all herself in store, FRESH! We would then get a slice of the amaretto cheesecake with the thought we would get it to go. Well that didn't happen, it came to the table and after the first bite we knew it wasn't making it home. It was so creamy, light, and fluffy with amazing flavor. She made our night even better! Thank you Jann we will certainly be back to see you again!

I was in the area for work so decided to stop by to try out their lobster roll which was delicious. They give a very generous portion of lobster on a warm buttery roll. The seafood gumbo was very average so I'd pass on that if I came again. The sides were rather pedestrian, but that's not a huge deal. They also sell fresh seafood and have a full bar. The dining area is very spacious. The service was quick but I was the only customer at the time (went at an odd hour around 4 pm) so that's neither here nor there.

This was one of the biggest disappointments... after craving lobster rolls for so long, I came here bc of their good reviews. I ordered the roll with house slaw and grilled potatoe salad. Sadly, my favorite thong was the slaw... the lobster was very dry and it tasted like it was frozen and defrosted... the meat was very dry and flacky, a big sign it was frozen. I m not a fan of slaw but I actually really liked theirs. The potato salad was OKAY. Wasn't that special... just average. The hush puppies, I could take the outside shell off... I m not an expert on them BUT I KNOW its not suppose to be like that. The service was really good though; the hostess and our waiter were super nice! Idk I would go back though... maybe to tey to other food but not for the lobster roll.... No idea why it was voted one of the top in DFW

I had not been to Sea Breeze in quite some time and stopped by for lunch. I believe the crab cake recipe has evolved a bit. It is still a tasty crab cake bit not as much lump meat as I remembered. It was a bit disappointing. I also had the lobster roll appetizer so that made up for my disappointment with the crab cake. Depending on what you order, it is still worth the drive. However, I wouldn't recommend the drive for the crab cake.

The wife and I had an awesome lunch! We both had the crab cakes, and they were awesome! The sides were so so and options were limited. We will definitely return, at least for some fresh fish to cook at home!

Great causal place for dinner with some awesome fresh seafood dishes. Got the speciality lobster Mac and cheese, it was awesome! Wish it was always on the menu, but if get another monthly special next time for sure so it's fine. Can get pricey with multiple dishes but I think it was worth it. Service and food were great.

If you like fresh fish and delicious seafood items from around this great USA .... Go here .... Don't go if you want frozen crappy seafood and are gonna complain about price. Servers are pleasant and HAPPY and make it a great experience. The food is awesome.... I took my parents , parent in laws and watched them lick their plates. I have had snapper , halibut, flounder , red fish , lobster roll, fried smelt, fried oysters , opah Hawaiian moon fish , key lime pie , gumbo , crab cake .... All delicious. Great place and seafood.

Fresh seafood, friendly attentive service, good prices. Best items we've had so far: - lobster roll (of course). If you want two sides then get the entree, one side get the appetizer. Sandwich is the same size for both. I think others have said plenty about this (lots of lobster, not too much mayo or creaminess, bun is buttery and delicious) - smoked salmon club - this is not the sushi style smoked salmon you usually see, instead it's cooked salmon and topped with caramelized onions and bacon on a bun. Our server recommended this and it was great. - sides - Asian slaw, fries, fingerling potatoes with veggies, house salad. Haven't tried or liked the others. Most dishes come with some hush puppies too. - kids menu - salmon filet; haven't tried fish sticks but they look decent. Wouldn't recommend the non-seafood items unless your kids don't eat seafood. - dessert - ice cream pie!! Oreo crust with vanilla ice cream and chocolate chips ice cream, whipped cream, caramel sauce, and a strawberry. Soo good! They also recommend a homemade key lime pie, but maybe since we've had the real deal in Key West, we didn't think it was worth ordering again. We've also ordered off the specials menu. Once we got a lobster tail which was good, and a white fish that I can't remember the name, but it was also good and served with purple fingerling potatoes in pesto. However we usually stick to our favorites above and we haven't been disappointed! One more thing I will add, is that this place does not do well with groups larger than 4 people, unless they are not busy that night. Their hostesses and management don't seem to be good at handling things out of the ordinary.

I was excited about the lobster and clams deal but when I showed up it was absolutely horrible. The service really sucked and the lobster was terrible. It was like they did care. I guess that's why you should never pay ahead of time.

Very disappointed after seeing such great reviews on Yelp. The special which was a planko crab sandwich was not well seasoned and was just basically fried blue crab on ciabatta bread. After the server asked if I would like to change my order. The manager said that nothing was wrong with the sandwich and refused to change the order. They clearly do not value their customers. I will not be returning.

On my mission to find the perfect lobster roll (in dallas) someone recommended this place to me and I had no idea it existed so close to my home. What have I been missing all this time.. Delicious fresh seafood (they also have a fishmonger) so you can take raw fish home and cook it yourself. Hubby had the clam chowder (amazing) and a sample platter. The platter had some fried clam strips that we're just amazing!! I want those next time My lobster roll was delicious. A little smaller than others I've tried (butbalso cheaper) and a little more "mushed" but the flavour was phenomenal and I really liked the soft fried bread it came on. The atmosphere is super chill and despie having a fishmonger right in the middle of the restaurant it didn't smell fishy or anything...just felt more authentic and fresh. So glad I've discovered this place so close to home...it's tucked right in the back of lakeside shopping strip mall on preston (at springcreek). Not the sexiest location but I'll be returning soon.

another place i had bookmarked for so long & finally decided to try it. i really just wanted to come here b/c i've wanted to try the lobster roll for sooooooo long!! glad i got that out my system lol this is a nice spot...real casual chill environment!! my wife ordered the fried sampler (fish & extra shrimp)....i tried the fish...good flavor...nothing really to write home about but was do-able. she really enjoyed the shrimp's seasoning. i had the lobster roll...which the bread is what made the sandwich for me....i would have liked the lobster salad to be a little more creamy & have some type of spice or seasoning in it that gave it that wow factor. if we're in the area we'll stop...but no special trips!!

I ordered the swordfish and it was very delicious! All the reviews were about the lobster roll but I wasn't in the mood for carbs and fries. I got the grilled swordfish with cauliflower and potatoes croquettes. It was amazing!!! I'd go back for sure. Plus my food cAme out ridiculously fast and server was extremely friendly. They have happy hour 4-7 Monday thru Friday and that's always awesome!!

It was a fortuitous accident that brought me here, as a result of Apple maps misdirecting me to the middle of cow and buffalo pastures when our original destination was a pho restaurant. The disappointment of not having pho immediately dissipated when I saw lobster roll on the menu, and for $13.99! At Dallas restaurants, a lobster roll would be at least $16-18! I'm in absolute agreement with everyone else that this is a great lobster roll. Yes it is small, but the contents inside are quality stuff. LOTs of lobster body meat and the stringier, but still yummy claw meat, with minimal celery and filler, and a complimentary mayo. Comes with two sides...fries were really crispy and fresh, and cole slaw was meh. Also comes with two small hushpuppies, which were just okay, and kind of empty once you break it open. My friend had the salmon club sandwich, which was delicious when I tried it. Big slab of grilled smoked salmon steak, thick bacon, gooey cheese on fresh ciabatta bread. It is a lunchtime superstar. On one side of this restaurant is a fish counter, where you can buy fresh cuts of salmon, tuna, dungeness crab, and some premade seafood items like crawfish, crab salad, and tuna salad at good prices. The fish counter did not distract my appetite at all...it was not smelly in the least.

I saw an article about Sea Breeze and their review of the lobster roll which I am a big fan off. I went on a Wednesday night and sat at the bar. Prompt and friendly service. Took a cursory look at menu but since I knew what I was there for I ordered quickly. The bread abs oil that came out first was most excellent. Than the main course cane out and while I thought it was small in size it was big in flavor and taste. One of the two or three best lobster rolls I ever had. Treated myself to some key line pie after and it was exceptionally good.

My husband and I visited Sea Breeze Grill Saturday night after reading the great reviews. Our experience was NOT great. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer-it was not crispy at all, chewy and lacking in flavor. Next I had a cup of the clam chowder-it was excellent. I ordered the crab cake with poblano mashed potatoes for my meal. The crab cake is listed as "lump-crab" this crab was from a can-no lump crab meat at all. The breading was very thick on the crab cake and very unappetizing-I left it on my plate. The poblano mashed potatoes were awful, left those on my plate as well. My husband chose the beer battered fish with salad and asparagus. The fish was mediocre at best-the asparagus was fine. He also ordered a side of scallops which he requested to be prepared medium-well, they came out about 30 minutes later than the rest of the meal cooked rare at best. We left those on the table as well. The portions are small and the food was very unimpressive. If you want good seafood, I suggest Eddie V's. We will not return to Sea Breeze.

Great seafood, great service :). I had the lobster roll which was AMAZING! Hubby had arctic charred salmon which was very tasty too. The key lime pie is perfect! Overall awesome dinner trip. Can't wait to try other menu items in the future.

Love. That's the word we're looking for. Love! When D Magazine talked about their authentic lobster rolls, we had to go there. And the lobster rolls were, and still are, amazing. But that's just where things start. A great selection of fresh, impeccably fresh, did I mention astoundingly fresh?, seafood. Since we started going there, they have expanded into a larger space and are more of a restaurant. It may good thing they are 60 miles from us - if they were closer, we'd eat there almost every day! Go, Enjoy! And, ask about their classes.

We got dinner for the entire family here. I've lived on the east coast and the gulf and really like seafood and tried this place because of the reviews. Frankly the food was almost inedible. The fish didn't smell or taste fresh. The shrimp were undercooked and over-breaded. The Lobster bisque (my wife's favorite food) was inedible, tasted like they used week old Lobster. There are a lot of good reviews on here, so maybe we had a bad experience, but based on my experience I would recommend avoiding it if at all possible.

We visited on a Friday night around 8pm and were quickly seated at a table in the rear as requested - away from the bar. They have a mix of casual booths and tables in a single large open room. Hot sour dough baguette and olive oil arrived within a few seconds of our being seated. This was the best sour dough we've had outside of San Francisco Bay Area. A minute later our waitress arrived and she was fabulous fun and very attentive, stopping by at least 4 times to refill bread, drinks and check if we needed anything else. The seafood salad was great - lots of great crab and shrimp on a bed of field greens with hearts of palms and olives. We also tried the fried Gulf shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes and Asian Slaw that many people raved about. The shrimp were perfect, but the potatoes needed a bit more butter. We'll go back.

We absolutely love this place and have been three times now so it's def a keeper. They house smoke their salmon. Um yeah, you read it right. It's amazing. The app of smoked salmon is phenomenal with creme fresh, baguette, ugh. Out of control. Lobster roll is legit, and honestly even the kids fish sticks are amazing- they use whatever fresh fish they have and cut it into strips. It's so fresh. My husband is from the pacific islands and they serve something here that is similar: fried smelt. It's little small fish flash fried whole and you get like 20 or so to an order. It's an app, anyway just come here for super fresh fish made to order, or come and buy your fish here from the fish monger area. You will be so glad you did!

The food was excellent but the service was terrible. The waitress barely came by and never asked if we would like to have dessert. On to food: We had the lobster roll that everyone talks about. The portions are small but it was well worth it. It lived up to the yelp hype. :-) We also tried the seafood salad and it was excellent.

Very disappointed. Went there for lunch and had the "Taste of New England" fried sampler (Cup of Chowder, 1/2 Lobster Roll, 1 piece Beer Battered Fish, Clam Strips, Fries and Coleslaw - $19.99). Well it didn't taste of New England. It hardly tasted of anything at all - extremely bland with no seasoning. It is a pet peeve of mine when you go to a restaurant and get french fries and coleslaw that have come out of a bag from Costco. I can put those in an oven myself. It is especially annoying when you get served them in a restaurant that has pretensions to be a proper restaurant. Really, how hard is it to cut up a potato and make your own fries? The lobster roll that other reviewers seem to like was very average. I wonder if these people have ever actually had a decent lobster roll. The worst part though was the clams strips. They were soggy. The batter wasn't cooked properly. I have no idea how any chef could put those on a plate. My lunch partner had fried oysters which were also very bland. The waitress was good about the clam strips. She returned them without fuss and came back with a plate of properly cooked clam strips - which also were very bland. I give this place one star for the waitress who was good and one star for the fact that the food came out quickly. But I won't be going back.

Delicious! We ate here twice and consistently fresh and yummy! Lobster rolls are a must but if you like everything go for the platter! The fried fish is OMG good, mini lobster roll, fries, cup of clam chowder, and fried clam strips. The gumbo is also really tasty and filling - generous pieces of fish, shrimp. Etc. Shrimp tacos were not bad but I'd pass on the tuna nachos.

The place looks very casual with diner style tables. You'd never expect the delicious gourmet entres that you actually get just by looking at the place. They are however top notch. I really like the crab cakes and the Smoked Salmon Tartlets - the unique thing is that I have NEVER liked salmon before. For the entre, I have had great luck ordering from the menu of the day. It is always a fish I've never even heard of and always super fresh and cooked/paired with a lot of creativity. If it wasn't so pricy, I could eat there every day!

Wow, just wow. What an incredible amount of fail. I'll start by saying our waiter was nice enough and stayed on top of things well, granted he only had two tables going. I ordered the fried shrimp platter with fries and Rice Pilaf. I knew as soon as he brought it out I was in trouble. French fries? Exceptionally underwhelming and salty. The fried shrimp? Clearly something fresh off of a Sysco truck. Obviously frozen and dropped in what I can only guess was rancid fryer oil. Worst shrimp I've ever had, no two ways about it. What a joke. If this is what you have to offer, just close the doors for good and go home.

Our waiter Josh, he made our night! So cool, chill, great attitude and just a good, down to Earth guy. I hadn't been to Sea Breeze since their makeover, we decided to sit outside and enjoy the nice, cool weather. My mom and I were treating my dad for Father's Day, so we kinda went all out. I pretty much knew already what I wanted to start off with. The popular choice of course was my favorite, the Lobster Roll. I decided on the appetizer portion, which was just enough. The buttery roll was warm, filled with cool, sweet lobster, lots of it. Next time, I'll probably get the full size portion for my entree. It was that good! The smoked salmon, smoked in house, with crostinis was our second choice. Bite size pieces of goodness. The salmon was flaky, thick and delicious. It came with this lemon caper dill aioli, that would've been good on a boot, oh my gosh. Everything they serve, it's super fresh, best catch. You can't go wrong. Huge portions. Seafood at its finest.

What a great find!! Had the lobster roll with fries and coleslaw. Really great. Just like the ones I get in Maine. Had a fried haddock sandwich. Fried just perfect!! The sampler appetizer was also great. Got the seal of approval from a New Englander!! We will definitely be back.

When you walk into this restaurant take notice òf the staff, from the servers, line cooks, and managers. It looks very much that they embrace their positions very seriously and they're on the same page.. There's is a simple system . You source the most readily available fresh products. Prepare it simply with out all the fru fru. That's what I expect when I dine at Sea Breeze and that's what they deliver. There are to many dining options are out there where the operatotrs are attempting to overthink the latest concepts and basics. At this place they deliver it straight and fresh. Especially grilled fish.

I thought this place sucked by my standards. My girfriend liked it though. The atmosphere is boring. The portions are small. The prices are outrageous. I wished we would have gone to Pappadeaux's for the same price. Prolly won't go back. Three stars is being generous.

  • Natali W.

The food here really is not good and definitely not worth the price. It doesn't even phase me to spend that much on good food but it was physically painful to pay for the meal here. One good thing was the crab claw appetizer. We really enjoyed that. But after that it was all downhill. Three people in my group and we were all barely choking down our entrees. I got the stuffed shrimp, my mom got the sea food stew (both are supposedly the favorite dishes there) and my husband got the Chilean sea bass. Every dish was terrible. Mostly bland with just enough sweetness and rotten fishy taste to make you gag. I'm really sorry for the bad review but it was really terrible and I feel obligated to warn my fellow yelpers :-/.

This is one of my favorite seafood restaurants in Plano. Every time I've been here the food and service has been great. This time I had New England platter. The beer battered fish was perfect! The clam chowder was delicious. I loved the hush puppies too! The lobster roll was good too. I tried the crawfish appetizer. It was a little over cooked and the crawfish were tiny but the flavor was good. My family loved this place!

  • Victoria W.

I came here for a girls night dinner and the seafood is definitely fresh! As with most seafood places, it is a little pricey, but definitely worth it! To start, we got the tuna nachos, which were AMAZING! My only complaint is it only comes out with 4-6 chips, and I could probably eat 25! But every bite was spectacular. The tuna was fresh and the sauce was the perfect compliment. For my entree, I had the lobster roll. To be honest, I actually have had better lobster rolls in Dallas, but this is a close second. I'd definitely recommend this place if you are looking for fresh seafood and friendly service.

My husband and I came here not sure what to expect. The awesome seafood smell, we knew right away that it will be great food. Started with the callamari, fresh, tender. My husband order the swordfish with mash potatoes and roasted vegetables. Myself ordered the Chillean Sea. Bass with grilled vegetables and spaghetti squash. OMG!!! Both fish!!! It was outstanding!!! Last was the creme brulee with grandmarnier. We will be back. ..

Great food and service here. A hidden cozy spot in a strip mall. Scrumptious lobster roll and side dishes. We've been coming here for a few years now and I am glad to see the quality of food has stayed as great as always. Come in the crawfish season and you'll leave the place very satisfied.

Sea Breeze has been on my to-eat list forever. Glad I finally made the trek there. The lobster bisque was good. Nice chunks of lobster in it. Just needs a dash of brandy in there. Don't be deterred by the $13 price tag. It's lobster. Not meant to be cheap. The lobster roll is one of the best I've had in DFW. Loaded and stuffed full of delicious lobster salad. The fried clams were nice and plump. But I thought the fried oysters were overcooked because they were shriveled and dry. The crawfish etouffee was flavorful with a hint of heat. Could use more crawfish. The shellfish bucket was my favorite. Shrimp, mussels and clams in a bucket with a delicious broth. The seafood paella was burnt. The parts that wasn't burnt tasted good. I asked if it was supposed to be burnt and was told that it was supposed to be crisp at the bottom. So I let them smell the rice. It was burnt. The disappointing thing is that they didn't do anything about it. I didn't expect a comp as we ate all the expensive parts (the seafood). But an apology would have been nice. Our server (Ali - pronounced "ae-lee) was amazing. She took great care of us and even tried to help with the burnt paella problem. She tried her best. It was a management issue. She gets 5/5 stars from me. Despite the issue with the paella, the food overall was good. The paella was from the special menu. I'm guessing they don't make it often. Everything from the regular menu is good. I'll RTE. There's still lots of stuff I wanna try.

I ordered lobster roll as the server said that's one of their best sellers. What was supposed to be their best seller was a slice of bread cut in half with few bits of lobster , this is the smallest roll ever, for $13.95 . Even Caesar salad was tasteles .if you're looking for good seafood this is not the place. I left this Sea Breeze Grill hungry. If you like seafood , go to Pappadeaux rest instead, better food quality, portion and price. Over priced for lousy food. Stay away

Been waiting to try the lobster roll for quite some time. Made the 40 minute drive from North Ft Worth today with high hopes. Well, it didn't meet expectations. For $13.99 I expected more lobster and less roll. The slice of garlic bread folded around the minimal spread of lobster over-whelmed the lobster. It was about the size of a normal hot dog bun. Not worth the $14 in my humble opinion. Wife had the tacos, one shrimp and one fish. Shrimp had flavor, fish was bland for our tastes. Staff was very helpful and nice which is always a good thing. Was worth the try but given its distance we probably won't make a return trip.

Plano is not exactly a coastal town, so it is nice to still have a fish market like this around. The market has a nice selection of seasonal seafood. 'Tis a great place to buy fresh fish, or even some various battered/nut crusted fishies. There is a full bar for a 'relaxing' time. The specials of seasonal options all sound awesome, but I came to check out this lobster roll. Some of the desserts also sounded great, but alas, my body can only eat so much(bummer indeed). The sides I had, roasted cauliflower & cole slaw, were pretty basic, but still tasty enough for what they are. The lobster roll is cheaper than elsewhere, but also smaller. I s'pose not every place subscribes to the 'Bigger in Texas' philosophy. Despite its size, it was mighty tasty. Nicely buttered roll and well dressed lobster. The roll held the meat well, and the shape was perfect for eating easily.

Why didn't I know they have remodeled and expanded. I would have been by sooner! Tonight my husband and I both enjoyed our dinners. The new updated restaurant doesn't feel like a fish market at all. So very clean. Excellent service. My blackened red fish, wonderful. My husband's mahi mahi just as great. Coming back very soon. Tonight they earned their new 5 star rating from me !!!

Went fur s birthday dinner on a Sunday. We were there at 7pm they close at 8pm. After being served drinks, the employees started stacking chairs, cleaning everything out from behind the bar, moving the tables into the corner. Very noisy and distracting. Not a great atmosphere. The waiter told us they were doing some necessary cleaning after closing due to the strong fishy smell when you entered the restaurant. The chaos continued all thru our dinner. My husbands fish was not cooked as ordered and he was told the grill was now closed and they were in fact spraying it with s hose as we were eating. We were not offered dessert as they were anxious to continue cleaning. As any good restrantuer will tell you, you do not start any special projects until your customers are gone. I felt that we were treated with disrespect when we had come to celebrate a special time. There are thousands of restaurants in the area, I will certainly choose differently next time and I encourage others to do the same.

All I want to say is LOBSTER ROLL! I love it so much. Relative to its size, the lobster roll is expensive but ever bite makes it so worth it. I've eaten in several times but most times I grab takeout. They expanded a year or so ago so there's more seating a bigger full bar. Great casual spot in Plano to dine on fresh seafood severed all sorts of ways.

If you're looking for a good Lobster Roll, this is the place to go! Compared to other lobster rolls in the area, its cheaper ($13.99 w/ two sides) and was about the same size as the length of a fork. The sandwich comes with two sides or you can substitute the two sides for either a side salad or cup of soup (which is what i opted for). I got the clam chowder which was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The Ahi Tuna Nachos are a must try. They're drizzled with sweet and sour chili sauce and a wasabi avocado blend which was the perfect match to the crunch of the wonton chip the freshness of the peppered tuna. Definitely will come back for that!

Very fresh seafood. Amazing lobster roll and I highly recommend the House smoked salmon club.. The lobster roll was so sweet and buttery. The salmon club is definitely a treat. It's made on a ciabatta bun with harvarti cheese, red onion marmalade, lettuce tomato.. OH MY..

Came to Dallas for personal business and found this on yelp. The first time I went there, I was too full and didn't try the lobster roll. So I went back in 2 days just to give it a try because the comments were too good to pass. It didn't disappoint. I'll be going here for lobster roll next time I'm in Dallas again. That itself is worth it.

Another great yelp find! I don't give many places 5 stars but wow this place deserves it. the service was exceptional! Upon ordering our wine the waitress was very accomidating in providing tasting for any wine they sold, although I only tasted one, this was very nice bonus. I had the lobster roll, which from the reviews was a no-brainer! It didn't disapoint! great herbed bread and even better lobster, I also had a side of the red potatoes with bleu cheese and bacon, incredible! the wife had the mahi grilled fish tacos and raved about them! We also got the kids a childs fish stick dinner which was enough for both of them to split, and by the way I sampled one, and wow I would have been ordering that for dinner! The waitress informed us that they are moving to waiter service once they finish their addition rather than ordering at the counter. Either way it works. Also you can visit their website and register with your email address and get a free appetizer. All in all a great local place to have in the hood, next time I plan on getting the smoke salmon club, I hear it's great!

Went here on a whim today when we couldn't find Texadelphia. Sea Breeze has a nice selection of seafood for purchase and the place is clean. I had the fried seafood combo and it came out quickly. The shrimp was okay, maybe the batter needed more flavor. I really liked the catfish and oysters. The catfish portion was small, probably 1/2 a fillet, which surprised me, but the overall meal was enough to fill me up. The wait staff was friendly and laid back and not intrusive at all. I would try them again, but I wouldn't bum rush the place.

Not impressed and way overpriced. My partner's fish was awful, and sweet potatoes were served luke warm. You only get ONE crabcake (which was okay) when you order the crabcake meal. Another customer even looked over and commented on the 'one' crabcake. Customer service was poor, like they couldn't care less if you were there or not.

Best seafood I've ever had in Dallas. I'm in love with the fish tacos, in fact, I've got to hold myself back b/c I want them just about everyday. And the lobster roll-- Oh my gosh-- it is really amazing. I also recommend the crab cakes. whew. really good. I love they do take out too-- the place is unassuming and I really like that about it-- nothing fancy, but just really, really good food. I've not had any fried items like the other reviewers-- but the stuff I have had, it is amazing. The peel and eat shrimp are huge-- and fresh. I guess that's what I just love about this place-- it is fresh, good, seafood.

First time at Sea Breeze for lunch today and enjoyed my ahi tuna salad. The presentation was amazing and it tasted as good as it looked. The kids got the fried shrimp kids meal -- 5 big fried shrimp with fries and a boxed juice drink. The shrimp were not to my taste -- did not have any seasoning. I wish they can offer healthy options instead of the fries for the kids meal. Definitely will go again. Pricey.

Is it just me, or does anyone else detect a skewed list of reviews? I am no writing expert, looks like many of the 5-star reviews were written by the same person. I could be wrong though. I have been to Sea Breeze, but found the batter on the fried food to be "bland" as another reviewer put it. The place is like walking to to a Super-Cuts in a strip mall, so don't expect any atmosphere at all. Overall though, it is worth at least one visit. If you like sea food, then it will not get much better in our area.

The food is good because the ingredients are fresh. I was kinda shocked when I paid the bill. 2 soups and an etouffee came out to be about $36. Good food, but the only downside is the crazy restaurant prices at a small deli. I will most likely not go back because the food is not worth the prices.

Hot, fresh fried catfish on the po-boy with a sharp remoulade. Sweet, tender lobster in the lobster roll. Smoky moist salmon on the salmon club. Great sides, if your first time, must try the "Asian slaw" (sweet red cabbage and red chili in a very light vinegar dressing), great sweet crisp but still moist perfectly cooked hush puppies. The daily off-menu specials are flown in daily and hand cut from whole fish on premises. Great cioppino, great chowder, great gumbo. Icy cold Stella in the frosted Stella glasses. Wine list isn't extensive, but you'll find something you like. Never had a bad meal. Sit outside if it's warm enough, cause they keep it cold inside. If you go on a Friday, go early or expect a wait for a table.

WOW. Eating here is a singular experience. This is the freshest seafood I've had in Dallas (not counting sushi). The draw for me was the full bellied clams. They reminded me of my days living on the east coast. I cannot stress enough; you must have a clam roll. Like a lobster roll, but with clams. The bun was soft, buttery and well toasted. The fries were crisp; not greasy at all. I also ordered the mussels bowl. While the mussels were spectacular, the marinier sauce was not as reduced as it should be; therefore not as flavorful. The ciabatta bread was great and good for soaking up the sauce. Another companion ordered the fish sandwich. It was the best fish sandwich he'd had in Dallas. Overall it was a fabulous experience. It was expensive, but you get what you pay for, as the saying goes. It's also a fish market. You can buy whole fillets or steaks. They have crawfish, clams, crabs, and a good variety of fresh seafood.

yum! Very casual place== you order at the register and sit down. I love it-- great food that you can show up in your tennis shoes to enjoy. Fish tacos are amazing. And I had a bite of the lobster roll and almost fell to pieces. Wonderful, fresh tasting sea food. It may be a little bit pricey, but what fish isn't? Great portions and all I can say is that it was SOO fresh. Will definitely be back! .

Before going to the Sea Breeze, we thoroughly researched all the reviews on this and other sites. We assumed that the negative comments about the owner were exagerated, but we learned they were actually mild compared to our experience. We arrived with a partial party and since there was no line at the counter-serv ice, we ordered wine and appetizers and took a table to wait for our elderly grandparents to join us. They got lost , searching for this strip shopping center place, not visible from the intersection, so they called and we overheard the owner behind the market counter explain directions to them. They still weren't there 20-min. into our visit. The line started to form by now and the owner came to our table and told us we'd have to vacate the table and carry our drinks and pending appetizers to the waiting area until we could fill the table. Now, we understood that he was worried that those in line ordering may not have a table open ...but his insistance that we move, after we explained we had already ordered appetizers was beyond RUDE. Luckily, our grandparents arrived at that same moment, so he huffed-and-puffed and exhaled in frustration and walked away. As a fellow small business owner, I understand having to try to keep the tables turned, but to ask patrons to move after they've ordered? His tone and body language was coarse and accusatory. Insane. The poor bus boys seemed hard-pressed to rush us out, too. Our party had finished entrees, except for our grandmother who lingered with each bite, unhampered by the bus boys who kept checking to see if she was finished, while the owner nervously patroled the tables. Killed any interest in dessert, as we felt pressed to "leave already." Oh...and considering that our 5 entrees at around $28 each, plus appetizers, plus wine was $170 -- that's a hefty tab for counter service and an owner with a nasty "I don't like my customers but am stuck doing this for a living" attitude! It might have worked for the owner of Goff's burgers, but it's not going to work here! The food? skip the crab claws, but the seafood salad and grilled fishes were nicely done. But for the price, we'll go somewhwere else where they actually like their customers and where you can linger a bit over your food without fear of being rushed through a pricey meal or being offended by the owner.

Outstanding meal, atmosphere and service. I had the grilled char, my wife the blackened red snapper. Both came on beds of veggies that complimented perfectly. To our delight, we learned that Jann, our favorite waitress at Covino's (awesome Italian), was now working here - and waited on us. Ask for Jann - she's an extraordinary server - and trust what she says! Added delight - we met Rick, one of the owners. He was working the seafood counter! My wife and I have decided we love LOCAL. The heck with those BIG chains - there are just too many great owner operator restaurants in Plano to "settle".

Wow! The best Cioppino I've ever had--plenty of seafood, just the right amount and the flavor of the stew was fabulous! The tomato stew vegetables were not musty. So good! I can't wait to come back!

MMM great find! I used to live close by and had no clue this place existed. It's in a strip mall and kind of far from the main road so we never found it before. So glad we did. Extremely fresh and lots of options. We will definitely be back!

Best fresh fish. Menu offers the fresh catch of the week...which they make a new menu for every week. And then they have their staple dishes which I also love. I am not even a fish fan....but this place actually makes me crave it!

Dinner was good but nothing out of this world... Maybe even a little overpriced. I don't get why this place is so popular. The fish market part of the place was kind of cool, and the products looked fresh, however I did not purchase anything. Maybe I should come back for that aspect of the restaurant.

Best fish in town... I am not a fan of fish...but I know I should eat it cause it brings alot of nutrients. Least to say...I actually really like this place. I look forward to eating here! I have tried numerous different fish...usually the one our waiter/waitress recommends. The sides are also always different and great. Def go here!!!!

I gave it a 4 due to the awesome hush puppies. Everything is fresh but slightly lacking some flavor for me...the fried oysters seemed as though they were just dipped in batter and fried. The slaw which was all purple cabbage needed more dressing for me. As far as the lobster roll that I had, it was okay...just easily tossed in mayo/salt/pepper. Super tiny but decent for the price. Liked the blackened shrimp/fish tacos though. The crab cake sandwich was pretty huge as well. The service..was super annoying. Or maybe it was only my server. He featured every item on the "special" menu. As a server, i feel as though you should just keep it sweet and simple. This feature was literally five minutes long..and then he proceeded to ask if we wanted apps even though we haven't looked at the menu yet -.- OH ..and DROPPED the check when we were STILL dining.. felt rushed as hell. He did ask for dessert but everything on the table wasn't manicured. ..we had a table of 5 and 3 people were still in the middle of their meal. I was pretty pissed and annoyed actually, but whatever. Liked the environment.

We had a great lunch!!! The fish and chips were as good as some I fell in love with in Scotland. Also had a crab meat stuffed fillit of sole that has me wanting more even though I am stuffed myself right now, the wife had lemon grass and green tea Maui Maui, she said it was great odd she didn't share at all. With chocolate bread pudding and GREAT keylime pie for desert YUM . SHOUT OUT to Frances G. Hope this is better than the last. We stopped here because of your review, THANKS!!!

I go to Sea Breeze when I want some good catfish. I have tried the fried catfish and shrimp and they both are awesome. It reminds of the little eating places they have in New Orleans. The cole shaw and fries are really good but the portions are small. They also have the best sweet tea. I have never purchased anything from the fish market but they have fish that other stores don't usually have, like Red Snapper. I will always come back here when I want a little piece of New Orleans.

We were looking for a seafood market, as well as a good seafood restaurant and we found it in Sea Breeze. Awesome Lobster Bisque and great seafood assortment. Whether you choose to eat in the restaurant, or purchase seafood to take home, this place fits the bill :)

I came here the other night after purchasing a Groupon deal for $12 to get $25 worth of food from the restaurant. I ended up spending an additional $25 which includes tips and a drink so it was a little pricy but it is a seafood restaurant so I expected it. We read from previous Yelp reviews that the lobster roll was a must have so we ordered that along with: clam chowder, seafood gumbo, and the crab cake plate. *Shout out* to a couple yelpers we bumped into that told us to check in on 4 Squares to get a free appetizer (Sea Breeze Combo Appetizer). The clam chowder was incredible! The clams had that fresh chewiness to them and the flavor was spot on. The seafood gumbo was mediocre. True to the reviews, the lobster roll was amazingly delish. It was a buttered up hoagie with a lobster filling similar to a tuna salad but made with lobster instead of tuna. The crab cake plate was so-so. It didn't stand out enough to make it worth the price. The free appetizer includes - 2 each Tuna Nachos, Shrimp Cocktail, Smoke Salmon Tartlets. I loved the tuna nachos. The tuna was coated with sesame seeds and seared and placed on top of a chip with a couple of sauces and what tasted like lemon rind. The shrimp cocktail was what you'd expect and the salmon tartlets are good if you like smoked salmon. It was a bit too smoky for my lil taste buds. The restaurant style is like a sandwich shop where you stand in line to order your food, get a number, and pick a seat. It was pretty busy the night we went so all of the tables were occupied. You have to be quick in grabbing the next available seat before someone else gets to it first. They also have a small market where you can buy fresh seafood to-go.

We just returned from Sea Breeze Seafood Market & Restaurant in Plano for incredible Maine style lobster rolls. More than enough delicious FRESH lobster chunks served on authentic buttered and toasted rolls from New England. $13.99 each with choice of two sides (I like the crispy skinny fries and Asian red cabbage slaw). Or, 12.99 each without sides. They won't have fried softshell clams until September but, we'll be there when they do.

The lunch crew here at work had grown tired of the same boring rotation so we started thumbing through a local dining guide to find new ideas. We picked out this place and gave it a shot since we all like seafood. I had the smoked salmon club, and when I ordered it I was imagining those thin strips of smoked salmon you get on a nova lox bagel. What i ACTUALLY got was a VERY generous chunk of smoked salmon that had to be at least 4 ounces, delicious bacon, and good bread to top off the sandwich. It was so good I went back two days later and got the same thing. The seared tuna salad and lobster salad that my co-workers got looked pretty delicious too, this place is a winner.

We're really close to five star territory here. I lunched with my Friday "lunch bunch" after finding this spot via Yelp's search, and we were not disappointed. I began with a bowl of clam chowder, and while I haven't tasted enough challengers to deem this the "best in Dallas" (as touted on their board), it was, for sure, some really good stuff. Very rich, clearly made with a lot of cream and not just milk and flour, it featured actual noticeable clam pieces (not a guarantee these days) and potato chunks. Delicious! For the main course, I had the daily special grilled arctic char, with fries as the side (the other sides just weren't "speaking" to me today. The fish was delicate yet flavorful, and while it could have used a wee bit more grilling on the outside, it was perfectly done on the inside. Fries were above average, but not by much; however, it's better to have good fish and mediocre fries than the reverse, don't you think? I did sample bites from my fellow diners as well; the fish from "fish and chips" was outstanding; a little malt vinegar made it sublime. Get some fresh cut fries in there, and it'd put the local pubs to shame. Finally, I had a bite of the highly touted lobster roll, and it was extremely good. The "bun" was really more of a Texas toast foldover, griddled with lots of butter. If there was a complaint, it was that it seemed a little thin on filling, but the quality was there, for sure. As others have noted, you're not going to get out cheap here, but you probably will get out GOOD.

I visited here for the first time after reading good reviews. I always keep my mind off pricing until i get through my meal, because I will always assume to pay more for a meal if it is worth it quality-wise. I ordered the Lobster Roll with Asian Slaw and Grilled Potato Salad. First glance as other have posted on the Lobster Roll was it appeared small, but understanding there was a lot of lobster in the roll with no filler, not a big deal. The flavor overall was good. The saltiness of the roll complimented a lightly seasoned lobster salad - no complaints there. Asian slaw was simple and the vinaigrette was just right. I was not too impressed with the potato salad. Something about cold grilled potatoes, and sweet pickles, with very little seasoning did not suit my taste. For dessert I debated between key lime pie and the bread pudding - which i ended up with. The bread pudding was OK. Honestly the top was a bit tough, which made cutting it with my dessert spoon a bit messy. The scoop of vanilla ice cream was in the flavor of Blue Bell, which I am not really a fan of. Service was fine, but a bit weird. I was solo and opted to sit at the bar. A waitress was called from the main dining area to take my order, however the two gentlemen that came after me we tended to by the bartenders. All in all I will be back to try different sides/entrees and perhaps the key lime pie or creme brulee.

Lobster Roll was AMAZING! the sides are not great and not very plentiful. My wife was not a fan of the sandwich she got but I thought it was decent. If you're into seafood then this place will satisfy. If you're into outrageously large quantities of fried fish/other "seafood" then this isn't for you. Go to Flying Fish for that fix!

I came into this restaurant to fulfill one mission: eat the lobster roll. The lobster roll is filled with delicious lobster meat. The lobster meat is fresh, not overly seasoned, sweet, and delicious. I had to use a fork to eat some of the lobster because the roll was overfilled (in a good way) with delicious lobster. The roll complements the lobster very well. The roll is slightly crunchy on the outside and super soft in the inside. On the outside of each side of the roll is toasted with a brush of garlic butter and herbs. I ordered the coleslaw and potato salad for the two sides that comes with the lobster roll. The coleslaw is flavored very well. The potato salad is okay. The potatoes were under cooked and needed some seasoning. $13.99 is a very good price for a great quality of delicious lobster roll. The service is attentive and helpful. The restroom is clean. The restaurant does not smell fishy. The tables are clean and chairs are comfortable. We sat near the display case of the fresh fish and prepared sides, so I am tempted to come back for take-out and another lobster roll.

The somewhat slow service is no match for the fresh seafood here. I had Ahi Tuna nachos and the Lobster roll and was in heaven! The tuna was some of the freshest I have had in Dallas and it comes in large slices on individual chips if you were wondering how they prepare it.The lobster roll is big and definitely worth the price of $13 with a choice of 2 sides. The grilled potato salad was awesome! The Asian slaw was just OK- red cabbage pretty much. I have also bought live Crawfish from here. Just call ahead before they boil them all and they will purge and pick the dead ones out for you, mine were $4.25 a pound which I thought reasonable for a broken sack price. They were good sized for early in the year and very fresh! Will totally be back for my Lobster roll fix! They have a full bar when you walk in and a fish market on the other side of the dining room.

Service is wonderful and personable. I always do business lunches here when nearby or stop for dinner. The fresh mussels are a go-to. The fact that they've expanded is a testament to succeeding when you do things right. Nice calm relaxed atmosphere with a focus on quality seafood. What's not to love :)

So good! Upon reading other reviews we tried this place and let me tell you exceeded our expectations! The lobster roll is amazing along with the Ahi Tuna Nachos! My husband had the Halibut which was delicious. I had the Ahi Tuna Salad which did not disappoint. The Gumbo was good as well.

I finally got around to trying this place and it lived it to my expectations. So many choices it was hard to choose. I went for the simply fish and chips. It was some of the best fried fish I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly. It wasn't too heavy as sometimes fried fish can just overwhelm you with so much batter. Also tried the mahi mahi tacos and they were very tasty. I can't wait to go back and try something new. Oh the fries are very good and the hushpuppies are the best hushpuppies I have ever had. I will certainly order extra extra hushpuppies nexdt time. My 2nd trip I got the fish and chips again and it was pretty good but not as good as my first trip. Still good though.

Who knew or would know Sea Breeze is even here. It's tucked in the back of a half empty shopping complex on Preston and Spring Creek. We were shopping in the area around lunch and drove by Sea Breeze, so it was a why-not decision, and a good decision it was. I haven't seen anything like it in Dallas...a true fish market. Walking in my eyes glazed over at the sight of the fish case and I let out a "whoa!" The concept of a fish market displaying their fish in a cold glass case where you can purchase the fish to take home or order in to be cooked is novel...at least in Dallas. Sea Breeze had a wide selection of dead fish and shellfish in the case; Tuna, Salmon, Cod, King Crab, Stone Crab, Gulf shrimp, Mahi Mahi, trout, mussels, Halibut, Swordfish, and it went on. They have a good sized menu with many different offerings from fried catfish, to fish tacos to the ever so popular lobster rolls. I ordered up the Mahi Tacos which were killer; grilled and served up with a spicy slaw and chipotle mayo and it also came with a pointless side of fries...another taco please! The wife wasn't too crazy about her fried catfish basket, and I wouldn't be much help on judging the quality because catfish is faraway from the Things I Like list. There is one server for the whole restaurant, which isn't that big. It's an order at the counter and bring it to you kind of place but the server did way more than just bring you your food. There seemed to be a lot of regulars in there as well. More fish tacos will be in order and I'll have to try their lobster roll as well.

Hostess and server were friendly and made you feel welcome, explained items on menu. Once we got our dinner, other wait staff helped with offering a refill on our beverages, clearing our plates. Be forewarned: the Lobster Roll is very small. I mean, REALLY small. It's served on a piece of grilled white bread - I am under the impression that "Texas Toast" is at least an inch thick, and the sandwich bread is not thick. It's also only one slice of bread. So know this before you buy... but also know that the lobster salad is the no-frill type, with almost no mayo or other filler. Yeah. It's small. SMALL.

I've been there twice now. First time was for lunch, and service and food was OK. We went in anticipation of the whole belly clams - as a transplanted New Englander, I was looking forward to a "real" clam roll. Unfortunately, they were out. The lobster roll was a decent substitution, however, and we left satisfied. Dinner last night, however, was very disappointing. A group of six arrived at 6:20 PM. Orders were taken by 6:30. At 8:00 we were informed that they were out of one of the three sides for that evening (a whipped potato dish) and were offered a substitution of the other remaining side. About 15 to 20 minutes later we were finally served. Once served, it was noticed that the portions were not equitable, and some sides were much smaller than others. Also, two people had the same main course, one of which was almost twice the size of the other. The flavors were all good, and the seafood was all fresh. The venue is small and casual, and conversation can take place easily. However, the service definitely left a sour taste in the mouth. Could not, in all honesty, recommend this establishment until kitchen and wait staff are improved upon.

Although I just had take out and was only there for the $10 a la carte lobster roll deal, I wanted to chime in with another 5 star review because the lobster roll was so good and the service (even for takeout) was excellent! The lady who took my order was so nice and got my fountain drink for me and made sure to get me a refill before I left. I really like the vibe of the place and looking at all the fresh seafood, you wouldn't necessarily expect a neat place like that in a generic Plano strip mall. And the lobster roll was delicious! The lemon, the garlic toast, the plentiful not-over-sauced luscious lobster, it was great. I didn't even need sides! Can I get a lobster roll with a side of lobster roll?

Two dined with me. The Lobster bisque lacked lobster. The base was tasty, but I literally had 3 very small pieces of lobster in my bowl, not a cup, of bisque. Since that and a salad was my meal, I was disappointed. Seafood seems fresh enough, but very disappointed with this meal. I left hungry and paid a bill total of $65.00. Not good. I don't mind paying for good food, but if I pay for it, I'd like to get it.

I liked the looks of this cute counter service seafood joint. Unfortunately the food did not match up. While waiting in line to order, I perused the seafood market side which was all very expensive. Salmon costs $17.99/lb at Sea Breeze! Geez, I can get salmon at Tom Thumb, H Mart, or Sprouts for $6.99/lb. We ordered a few things for appetizer and to share. Started off the the chilly night with a bowl of NE Clam Chowder. It was warm but bland. Next came the lobster roll, which no more than 5 inches long. It was very tiny at the cost of $11 but the brioche roll was the saving grace. I got the Shrimp Lemon Risotto w/ Arugula Special. It was very lemony and needed more cheese to complement the lemon. He got the salmon burger and loved it. All-in-all, the cost of the place and blandness of the food earns it 3 stars. I'd like to go back and try more items since the menu has a lot of potential.

Best lobster roll I've had. The tuna nachos were amazing. Service was spectacular, as good as at a high-end restaurant - very attentive but not pushy or stuffy. Beer was cold. Rest rooms were clean. All the other entrees were excellent, including the hush puppies that came with the meals - they were so good we had to order more. The desserts were awesome too.

GREAT place & service to match! Clam chowder probably the best I have had in Dallas. Fresh fish is is what they are noted for and they did not disappoint. It's a must try kind of place and as a bonus their specialty is New England style lobster rolls. There are small in size but huge in flavor. As a chef myself this place is what I call a real neighborhood gem.

Sea Breeze has been a favorite of mine since they first opened. Food is always fresh and absolutely delicious. If you love seafood but are not into store bought fish, this is where you should be eating. They've recently added jazz nights to their schedule. I'm originally from the New Orleans area and miss eating fresh gulf seafood...this is the only place I've found that compares in the area!

A dinner for two and a lobster roll for an appetizer was only $30 PBR on tap was a bonus

One word. Ilovethisplace. Sea Breeze is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in town. It has the atmosphere and feel of a small fish/seafood market, but the food there is definitely upscale. I've had some of the standard fare of po boys and fish and chips, and they're pretty good. The tuna nachos are fantastic. However, what makes this place really shine are the chef specials which change day to day, and they also have special sides that change each day. The fish is always cooked perfectly, and the seasoning and sauce always complements the entree perfectly as well. The portion is just enough to fill you without making you feel like you've completely gorged yourself. If I had one gripe, it would probably be that I don't make enough money to eat here every day. Ha!

Sea Breeze is a small quaint little Fish Market off Preston Rd. & Lorimar, in Plano. The fish is VERY FRESH! If we get a "Lobster Roll Craving"......we head to this place! The Crab Cakes are really good, too! The clam chowder is DELISH! The wait staff is very friendly and accomodating. It is pricey.....they do serve beer & wine as well as specialty teas.

First time here since the renovation. Lobster roll fine but not fab. Service (now full service) okay, sat at 3ish with a non-attentive waiter. Please bring back the other pilaf w pepitas, now it's weird with broccoli, corn and carrots...two bites and done. Now you get two sides but there was nothing else I wanted so took coke slaw. Still came with two hush puppies, rather have more hush puppies and no second side.

My husband and I have been going here almost weekly for many years now. I wasn't sure I was on board with the recent renovation, but ultimately more room is good, the bar is nice and television is a good addition to a casual space. I hated reading reviews where people were frustrated by the crowds. The place has so much fantastic seafood to offer that it would be shame to miss out if you were frustrated by the wait. I'll start by saying I adore seafood; almost all seafood, and for my money this place delivers the best in Dallas. We have never been served anything that wasn't amazingly fresh and very well prepared. Yes, sometimes they don't have everything on the menu and they can and do run out of items. That is because they are so picky with what they serve. And I appreciate them for that. The service is ridiculously friendly and their new manager is a very nice addition. The decor is nothing to write home about and I frankly hate the music they play, but for good, fresh, seafood in Dallas (or the surrounding area...I know Plano can be a trek) you won't find better.

Came here for the second time in my life today, and it was just as great as i remembered. The place is both restaurant and market so you can buy fish to cook, or sit down and eat. Atmosphere is very light and casual - the place is owned by a family. A bit pricey but worth every penny. We started out with the mini crabcakes for an appetizer. There are just tons and tons of crab in these tini little things. I had the Salmon Club sandwich and shared it with my friend. DELICIOUS. The salmon is smoked and was topped with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and bacon, nicely cushioned between two crispy slices of cibatta bread. My friend had two fish tacos. I coudn't take a bite without having bits of fish spill out from the soft tortillia. It was SO good. My sister had fried catfish and hushpuppies. It wasn't too fried, and was seasoned perfectly. Fries LOOK soft and maybe soggy but do NOT be fooled by appearance. They were crispy and lightly salted. Not greasy or soggy at all. We weren't checked on as much as my last visit but nevertheless everyone was super friendly. They let me sample the salmon prior to my decision of ordering because I wasn't sure if I would like the taste of it. As far as I'm concerned, this has some of the BEST seafood in town. Any Salmon selection is delectable and the bread they serve at dinner is soooo good. Better than Olive garden or macaroni grill.

My co-worker ate here for lunch Wednesday to use up her Groupon before it expired. We both ordered the Fried Shrimp platter with the grilled potato salad. Both entrées and two drinks and we were still shy of our $25 groupon. So we added french fries and asian cole slaw. The shrimp was good. I loved the hush puppies. Neither my co-worker and I cared for the asian cole slaw or the grilled potato salad. The french fries were, well, french fries. I am rounding this 3.5 star review up because they had the awesome sonic-like ice in the soda machine.

I was here last night having a hard time finding it, cause the sign wasn't lit up. Finally found it, this place had a little bit of a crowd around 7pm. It was my first time and I ordered Sear Ahi Tuna Salad but they were out, so I decided to ordered the Lobster Roll, so they ran out too. Well, was too hungry and just got off work from a long day. I just want something light and i still want that Sear Ahi Tuna Salad, they said they can replace whatever they ran out, so i had Scallops in stead. I also tried their red wine that was recommended. As i take a sip and like it. I ordered a glass and saw the guy pour the last drop of it and started to panic, he couldn't find another bottle, about to tell me they ran out too. Good thing he found it and pour me extra more. It came this close to chase me out of this Fish Market forever. Got a table outside and enjoyed the nice cool weather with my glass of wine. My salad finally came, it looks great, and i dive in. I was impress, the dressing taste great. The scallops was grilled perfectly. Since the most popular item on the menu seem to ran out and i didn't get a hold of it, i will be back after they finish expanding and remodeling this place. Bad seafood is the worst you ever want to pay for, so it worth the time checking it out.

I enjoy coming here for luch. Great variety of wild caught fish, seasonal side dishes, low key atmospehere. You can check on their web site whats special on a menu for that day. I had snapper, trout, sole and all was good. Spaghetti squash is probably my fav side dish. One warning: the place does smell fishy. I personally don't mind it - in fact I enjoy it - but I know some people might find it offending.

Great food. The best service I have seen in yrs. waitress knew everything about the dishes . Fresh fish . One of the best gumbo's I have had outside of Louisiana. I am from Louisiana and always looking for good restaurants. This one is very good

i was not impressed by Sea Breeze. The food wasn't flavorful. It was overpriced for the portions. The only thing going for it, is that you could tell the fish was fresh. Luckily, I had a groupon, so I didn't use all my hard-earned money on this restaurant. I would never pay full price for this place. It gets super crowded during lunch. Service was okay. I thought the cashier wasn't very friendly. Overall, I didn't like it. I think the only reason it stays in business is because of the lack of seafood competition in the Metroplex. I would not recommend. Don't waste your time.

After hearing a lot of great things about this place my mom and I decided to try it out, not impressed. We are from the east coast and know our "fresh" seafood-this is NOT fresh (we had the shrimp). The shrimp tasted like bleach and that usually indicates they are rotting or they have been rinsed in chlorine. I will not be going back to try anything else.

Great casual seafood place!!! Possibly freshest and best selection for seafood in metroplex!!! We just wish we had one like it in Colleyville! Outstanding service and quality value.

For a strip mall restaurant in Plano this place does the trick. I grew up in Maine so I really missed the lobster rolls when I moved to Texas, These are pretty good. Not like Maine but pretty good. I guess the best way to describe it is eating a lobster roll at Sea Breeze is like eating BBQ at a popular joint in Maine. Good but not as good. The fried food platter is par with what you might get at Pappadeaux. The restaurant does have a little fish market but other than that there is no atmosphere to the place.

This was a good experience. I had to do the Lobster Roll because I had never had one. It is not an inexpensive lunch- but it was a hearty portion of LOBSTER. And if you ever see "lobster" and "inexpensive" in the same sentence- run! The portion was generous and the hunks were large. Held in a folded piece of Texas toast. The sides were delicious and helped propel my rating a bit. I had the grilled potato salad and it was awesome! A buddy had the asian slaw and it was very good as well. Entree and side, plus soda- $17.62 and worth it- in my opinion. The menu was great- I had a hard time picking my meal. I started with the menu at 7am and only made my final selection while standing in front of the owners. I'm gunna go out on a limb and say the two guys up front were the owners- so clearly, they have a passion in their fish! Nice guys too. You know it's fresh because the place is a fish market (without the fish market smell). You can pick up your clams, crab cakes and/or a wide variety of fresh seafood. Priceless! Not that Plano is a hotbed of world class seafood, but this will be my "go-to" place for dining and picking up seafood for home.

I will admit, some of the food here is great. There are a couple of things that keep me from giving this place top marks. One, they are expensive. The rent in this shopping center must be sky high, because the wine shop two doors down is crazy high. We have been here twice. They have a lunch specials menu that is always tempting, but I don't do it normally because they are $18 to $25. But yesterday, I was going to get the fish and chips. $18. It sounded good. Well it does not actually include the 'chips'. $18!!! You use a side for the chips, Which are fries, and since I already know that their fries are of the frozen variety, I said no thank you. By the way, the fries here are the only thing that have been a disappointment. They are definitely frozen, and I think that is bogus for a high priced seafood place. The crab cakes are good. The cole slaw is really yummy.

The portions could be a bit bigger, but the quality of food is definitely there. Of the items I ordered I recommend the lobster roll and the clam chowder. Admittedly, I don't know of many places that are known for lobster rolls (The Disney food and wine festival lobster rolls come to mine for comparison), but I would recommend friends to give Sea Breeze a try. Clam Chowder was one of the better ones I've tasted. A nice compliment to the meal.

A group of us tried Sea Breeze based on a recommendation from another friend. I have to say that the fish is the best I've had at any restaurant. All the fish is displayed in the case and you can order it prepared how ever you like. The fish is marked either wild or farm raised which is important to me since I don't like farm raised fish. I had grilled halibut and my husband had blackened grouper. Neither one of us left anything on our plates. It's true that the prices are on the higher end ($23.99 for the fish with one side dish), but I don't mind paying for high quality food.

Very nice upscale restaurant. Ate outside. Very attentive staff. Etouffe was fine, but nothing extraordinary. The clam chowder and lobster was very good. The kids enjoyed their hot dogs. The desserts were good. The key lime pie was more of a tart, but still very good. The lava cake was devoured in minutes.

I'm a fan of seafood, and I thought I venture out to this place in Plano. I bought a groupon special a while back and wanted to use it before it expired. The cashier was extremely nice and helped with suggestions. If you love clam chowder, you MUST order it from here, it was by far one of the best I've had. They also had a select market of fresh seafood/fish for sale. The meals came out fresh and hot, and everything was all right with the palate with every bite. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and it was very fresh. The prices are a little higher, but if you want some good seafood, go here.

Found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out about a month ago early on a Saturday. Clean establishment, friendly staff. As others have pointed out it was a bit on the pricier side relative to what you were getting. I had the smoked salmon club - which turned out to be one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, that may be an exaggeration but it was definitely top 2 or top 3 sandwiches I've ever eaten. Tried some of a friend's lobster roll and that was excellent too. They have quite an extensive menu and I have only had but a small sample of it. But based on that, it was great. After all, we're in Texas, the edge of the desert. It's not easy to find seafood better than this.

Sooooo disappointing! I was so excited to go for dinner last weekend. Lobster Bisque AND crab cakes?! Yes, please!! The soup part of the lobster bisque was perfect, tasted just like roasted lobster. The giant pile of lobster on top was very chewy. I understand it's really hard to perfectly time lobster, probably best to just skip that part next time. On to the entree, I ended up getting the crab cake platter with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted butternut squash. The potatoes were flavorful but dry, and the squash was nothing special. The cake itself was kind of bland, so I had to add a bit of salt and pepper and hot sauce. All around it was not a terrible dinner, but if I am going to pay $18.00 for a dinner I really expect two crab cakes. The final straw was the waitress. I wouldn't say she was awful, but she did not once come back to fill our water. It was not packed, so there was no excuse for this.

Maybe one of the best calm chowder I ever ate! I wasn't blown away by the food. The risotto wasn't great. There was alot of shrimp on it though and I could not finish it. The fish is fresh and delicious. It's a nice little diner for seafood. The interior is not fancy and very casual. I like it. Yes, I know it's a boring review... My bf became and active yelper so he found this place. He loves seafood and thinks it was delicious. So here are the details. You come in. Order at the register. Pay for your meal first. Find a seat. Although, I recommend you find a seat first and designate a seat saver. Haha. My bf and I ordered first on a weekend night... Food serves quickly and ENJOY! I recommend ordering wine with your meal. :)

This is probably more a 3.5 Star place. Their food is pretty good, especially considering that its not a upscale place or anything like that. You pay first, have a seat and your food comes out. They're pretty quick too. We got the Ahi Tuna Nachos and the Lobster Roll, both of those were really good. Prices are not cheap though, most items are pretty espensive but considering that its quality seafood I'm ok with that. My biggest gripe with them is that the portion sizes are TINY. A normal guy could eat the lobster roll in 4 bites without even trying and they don't give you a lot of sides either. Eventhough the food is good, I don't know if I'd come back here. Its tough shelling out $13 for a meal that leaves you hungry.

We were really thrilled to see the renovations done at Sea Breeze late last fall. The space is modern and clean, with more space and a great atmosphere. Maybe it's because of Lent, but the crowd is growing larger each Friday night that we visit. Last week, by 6:00 there was a 20 minute wait. Luckily, the new bar can offer you a drink while you wait. They also have patio seating on the sidewalk out front for a warm evening. Everyone at our table always has a hard time choosing their meal. I enjoy fried seafood and the coating here is not thick or too overwhelming - you can taste the seafood. The sides are all home made and include things like warm potato salad, Asian slaw, and a few daily offerings of vegetables with a unique twist like citrus snow peas, for example. I have never had dessert here, only because we're always too full! Children's menu is great and includes non-seafood options but ours love the home made fish sticks and hush puppies. Children's drinks come in SUPER large Styrofoam cups, which you can pour into your own smaller cup from home. Service can be slow on those busy nights. We found ourselves looking for our server to take our order, then to check on the status of our food, then to pay our bill. I will give them credit though, because they expedited the children's food and they were able to eat first. Our server also brought crackers and extra bread The managers and owners spend time in the dining room - keeping up with the waiting list or just checking in on diners. We really enjoy the neighborhood feel of this restaurant and the quality of the seafood. It attracts all kinds of guests: couples on a date, families with children, co-workers at lunch, etc.

3.5 stars... This is basically a knock off of Quality Seafoods in Austin - the big difference seems to be that Sea Breeze doesn't seem to sell to businesses, which Quality does, and it would seem to give them more street cred. We had a groupon ($12 for $25) and ordered the mahi mahi fish tacos, clam chowder, and the shrimp poboy. I have to say everything was pretty good and very fresh...but the big thing that would keep me from not coming would be the high prices....they seem to not realize we are still in a recession, nor have they passed on a lot of the savings in lower wholesale prices, like Lobster...see Luke's Lobster in NYC, which has emerged as a great biz for similarly priced but substantially larger lobster/crab roll sandwiches....they also don't have the cheap taco Tuesday that Quality Seafoods had....and maybe most bothersome would be the fact that they didn't have wild salmon...I haven't been eating the farm raised for a while, given some of the negative press surrounding farm raised fish. Probably won't be back unless they offer another groupon.

Overpriced and bland! I ordered the tuna nachos and the fish 'n chips platter, along with three others at my table, and like so many restaurants, we all agreed the quality is just not there. I have not been to a Long John Silvers in over 20 years, but I would bet they make a better fish 'n chips. And the nachos? Definitely not worth $12.00 for six. One person in our party ordered the lobster roll and it too was bland and over priced. The people reviewing on this site that say it is the best they have had since they were in Maine must not know lobster. We all tried it none of us were impressed. When I pay $13.99 for a tiny lobster roll I expect it to "WOW" me. If I want bland I could get a taco at Taco Bell and save $13.00.. One person at our table ordered the smoked salmon club sandwich and it was the only item that had any flavor. But again, I think it was overpriced. Sea Breeze is a definite 'no' for our family. It has been removed from our go-to list of restaurants in the North Dallas area.

Wow! What a great lunch! Ali was our waitress and she was awesome. First visit to the restaurant and we had halibut, red snapper, and tuna tostada appetizers! I'll be back next week. Super service, great food, great location.

A must-go place if you like Seafood. Everything is fresh, real fresh. it's been a while so i don't exactly remember what we tried but I remember that all three of us were happy with our food. The service was pretty good too though the food took a few minutes since it was being prepared right there and then. You can also buy fresh seafood from there to take home which is awesome. Kind of on the pricier side but well worth it.

Not at all what I expected! Rarely do I eat at a new restaurant and plan my next visit before I am finished with my meal. One word sums it up, Fresh! The seafood is fresh, the dishes are made from the seafood you see in the small market. I had the lunch special of the day, Pan fried Sole sandwich. Perfectly fried with little grease and full of flavor. Crispy fries and a healthy portion for the price. I am planning on returning as soon as I can. If you love seafood and are looking for something different try this place out. Easy to get in and out of. I hear the weekends they are packing them in, and I don't mean the fish.

it's been a while since i've been to northeast.. and i finally found a place for a lobster roll.. i started my meal with the clam chowder (3 stars).. it's got plenty of clams.. but it had too much black pepper.. i've had haggis that's had less pepper than this chowder.. the lobster roll (4.5 stars) is really tasty.. succulent lobster.. light on the mayo.. the only thing it was way too small.. probably about 5 inches.. which is overpriced for what you're getting.. as for the sides.. the cole slaw (2 stars) was meh.. it fresh and crunchy.. but pretty much flavorless.. the fries (5 stars) were nice and crispy.. from reading the other yelp reviews.. i expected something soggy.. overall... good seafood.. but overpriced..

Pro--I've gone there for four years for the lobster rolls. They could be larger, but are delicious. Tasted like Cape Cod. Also, love the hush puppies. Wish they could be ordered as one of the sides. Has turned into a full serve restaurant since my last visit. Attentive, efficient servers. Con--A little on the pricey side. Side dishes need work. The fries taste out of a bag. Asian slaw colorful, but lacking in flavor and colors other than purple.. Fried potato salad acceptable. I asked if I could substitute the mashed potatoes for the potato salad, but it was almost $3 additional. Why? Requested the bread on my lobster roll be well browned. It came almost burned on one side and barely brown at all on the other. I ate it without complaining, but for the price expected more attention to details like this.

Freshest seafood in Dallas. I know the HPers like TJ's but this is much better. The selection is much more varied. The restaurant menu is more gourmet and yet there are very simple dishes. I had fresh soft shell crabs sautéed in butter, lemon, and capers. Outstanding!!! They were out of soft shells yesterday so they weren't on the menu. When they are out of season they won't carry them because they will be frozen not fresh. Halibut with spinach, soy, crisp sweet potatoes was excellent. The owner, Rick, cuts the seafood portions to order behind the open display. Very casual and the wait staff are attentive but not overbearing.

I just hate fried sea food, thus RL etc are my enemies when sea food is concerned. I like butter, but not butter to go with FRIED sea food, yuck. I might as well DRINK some oil instead Have been to this little shop a couple of times. It is not really that impressive, however it is a decent place to get stuff like a San Francisco sea food stew (a sea food combo in a tomato based soup), a lobster roll...anything not fried tends to be from ok to good Like the casual atmosphere here too

I have visited this place several times. The staff is friendly and usually pretty fast to get your food out. The seafood is fresh, but that should be expected from any seafood market and not deserving of any special praise. I've never had anything that was bad necessarily, but that is about the extent to which I would compliment this place. The value you get for your money is pretty poor, even with the understanding that this isn't a fast food joint or typical casual dining seafood restaurant. After a few visits, I finally decided to try the lobster roll. There seemed to be a good number of positive reviews for them so I was pretty excited. To each his/her own, but I was very disappointed. The lobster mix had no taste whatsoever, leaving the toast used for the roll as the only flavor. The roll was extremely small which was disappointing, considering the meal (roll + 2 sides) ran about $16 and change. I would have been ok with the roll being small if the portion of sides weren't laughably small. It almost looked like someone ate half the food off the plate when it came out. All in all I have had far tastier seafood in Dallas and Plano. This place isn't bad, but not worth what you pay.

I grew up on the beach and have traveled the world over since then...eating seafood every chance I get. DO NOT bother with this place. It is overpriced, mediocre and no atmosphere at all. I tried the Lobster roll, for $13.95 you get a lobster roll, a dollop of cole slaw and a scattering of thin, somewhat bland fries. The miniature hush puppy was the only worthwhile food on the plate. For $8.95 my daughter received 6 small grilled shrimp and a scoop of purple cabbage covered in cilantro which the kid behind the counter said was "Asian slaw." If you know seafood, you will be truly disappointed with this place. It has the atmosphere of a deli, not a trendy deli, but a boring strip mall deli. My family and I will not be returning.

This place is pretty good... it's the best lobster roll I've had outside of Maine. Overall it is a little pricey, but to get fresh fish and a market like this in Plano, it's worth it. I highly recommend the clam chowder!

Went there on Monday for an early dinner (4ish) no wait and they were not busy which was nice. Started with the Lobster Bisque which was OK (prefer Pappadeaux's it seems "richer"?, Their Calamari is EXCELLENT! I had the Lobster roll, Asian slaw, and roasted potato salad which were all tasty and portions were good. This place is a little pricey but I would go back.

Just finished an early (630) dinner at Sea Breeze. It was our first visit and I am afraid I came away with an "eh?" feeling. It was OK. Not great but worth it if you are in the neighborhood. I had the half po' boy (oyster) with chowder and Asian slaw side. Very mixed. Oysters were excellent--large, well breaded, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Bread very flavorful but sandwich is very small (about 1/4 of a Pappadeux po' boy). Chowder was very good--LOTS of clams and broth tasted good as well. Asian slaw was a pile of damp shredded cabbage devoid of flavors. Wife had crab cake plate--crab was good (she is an excellent cook and makes great crab cakes--these were judged 'pretty good' and worth the drive). Vegetable sides were grilled asparagus and a sugar snap/carrot/mushroom medley--all were very well prepared. Service was adequate--attentive but not hovering--above average. My objections: it isnt a neighborhood visit for us; it is expensive on the value curve; and was just 'not that special'. I wouldnt object to going back but we drove past several better choices to get to sea breeze.

I've been frequenting this place since they first opened. If you want fresh seafood, this is the place to be. Just about everything I've tasted has been great. Only 4-stars from me because the price is quite hefty. I've tried just about everything on the menu and the only dish I was disappointed with was the clam strips. The clam strips were defiantly tasty but the portion was WAY tiny for the $15 price tag. If you have to try one dish, you have to get the crab cakes. It's basically all crab meat; definitely the best crab cakes I've ever tried.

Three things that keep us coming back to this place: the location, the lobster rolls, and the clam chowder. I say the location due to the proximity to where I live, not the setting. It is tucked away in the back of an otherwise cool shopping center, easy to miss and in all not very snazzy. Nothing bad, just nothing great. Now, as far as lobster rolls go, I've never had one anywhere else, so I can't say how it compares to an 'authentic' one, but I do know that this is one darn tasty sandwich. The sides are a bit so-so, so I'd recommend getting it alacarte. The clam chowder is one of the best clam chowders I've had just about anywhere. If all I'd ever eaten here was those two items (and if I ignored the prices) this place would be a sure thing 5 star. But I have had other things, and I was less than impressed by a couple of them. The fish and chips wasn't all that great, and the po'boy wasn't much better. Neither was bad, just not great.

What a wonderful, casual seafood restaurant located in the heart of Texas. As other Yelpers have mentioned, the lobster roll is one of their most popular items. It's really good with fresh meat and a buttery bun. They use tarragon (?) on the bun which is a very unusual but pleasant addition.

I have found my seafood restaurant. I grew up by the gulf coast, so I always had easy access to seafood when I was young. I have not found another seafood restaurant in dallas as good as Sea Breeze, and I've tried a lot. They have actual, fresh seafood. I'm so used to getting the tried selection of catfish, farm raised shrimp, and talapia. This place has shrimp that actually tastes like shrimp and some fresh gulf seafood as well. The prices are reasonable for the quality. I had a moment of sticker shock when seeing a piece of fresh sole for $20, but after realizing that Dallas is more than 300 miles from any water, its pretty reasonable. They also have local favorites like fried catfish and such which is priced lower. There is something for every person/price point. I even saw a board of $10 specials and sandwiches and such. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. This is a casual kind of joint - a little strange for this part of town, but its welcomed by me since you pay at the beginning and are free to go. One tip though, I feel pretty guilty, we got caught up in conversation with our friends and totally forgot to tip at the end, since we had already paid. also, they got the sides correct as well. Its hard to beat their sesame grilled asparagus. Its not just a place to get a good piece of fish, but a good meal. enjoy!

We stumbled into Sea Breeze one Friday evening, and were blown away. Looking for fresh seafood in the North Dallas / Plano area? Look no further! To say I'm a fan of Sea Breeze is an understatement - since that first evening (which happened to be their second week in business), we've been back almost every week since. The deli-style casual restaurant bears stark contrast to the gourmet dishes featured as daily specials. You can buy seafood to go, but why not go ahead and let them cook it for you? The tuna nacho appetizer is fantastic, and their sea bass is amazing. The fish is always fresh - they even have crab flown in from "The Deadliest Catch" boats, when in season. Owners Mark and Rick are extremely knowledgeable about the fish they serve, and they really do care about their customers. This is certainly a gem - a neighborhood restaurant that you can definitely take pride in recommending.

I had the sea bass this time for lunch, it was great. This is a stop for me anytime I'm close.

I saw this place in passing one day and after reading the reviews on here I HAD to go. This place is EXCELLENT! The fish is extremely fresh and deliciously prepared. We had the Yellowfin "Nachos" to start and they were fantastic. The fish was prepared well and the sauce on it was superb. I had the lobster roll and it was really good, heavy on lobster and not heavy on mayo. It is a little pricey, and on the small side, but it is lobster and this is Texas so I can't complain. My husband had grilled scallops and they were large, fresh, sweet and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be coming back here. We are originally from California and have been very spoiled with excellent seafood and this is the only place we have found in the Frisco/Plano area for good, FRESH seafood that does not cost you an arm and a leg. Don't be alarmed by the casual set up, this is excellent quality food and a perfect family restaurant. Also, we brought our 15 month old son and this restaurant was great. It is loud, but not too loud, and completely casual so you do not have to feel bad if your child lets out the occasional yell for something they want. also the waiters were great about helping us out with whatever we needed. Enjoy!

This a great seafood joint! The lobster roll is yummy, even though it's small it's packed with big chunks of lobster. Clam chowder here is superb. It's just a little pricey for me. I expected it to be less expensive due to such a casual atmosphere. I suppose seafood can cost alot and plus they say the fish is flown in so I guess transport costs feed down to us consumers. That's what you have to sacrifice for fresh fish!

I just had the tuna nachos and a pan seared fish entree with mashed sweet potatoes and they were all freaking good! The tuna nachos are slices of fish that are slightly seared with aioli sauce and chopped tomatoes atop nacho chips. And I have to rave about how delicious the mashed sweet potatoes are! It's a side that comes with your entree but they rotate the sides everyday. If you see it available for the day, definitely try it.

Haven't been here in awhile as it's a ways from the house and I'd forgotten about it. What a gem. Had lunch here yesterday and everything was perfection. I have not had better clam chowder including Boston and aside from Vermont. The grilled scallops with a light lemon butter sauce were delicious as was the roasted broc and cauliflower. My lunchmate opted for the fish and chips and it was sinfully good. Purchased some fresh fish and the fishmonger was ever so helpful and knowledgable. Will try to come monthly.

Excellent fish and chips - fish was haddock. Hushpuppies were delicious. Loved the beer batter on fish - was very light and crunchy. Crabcakes were pretty good too. Was a bit pricey. Two fish and chips dinners, two cups gumbo and one shared crabcakes appetizer was around $60 with one iced tea. But definitely everything was very fresh!

The greatest little hole in the wall ever! My favorite part is that it's unpretentious and the staff was knowledgable and very friendly! We had the tuna nachos, better than any I have tried elsewhere. I had a grilled yellow fin tuna steak with balsamic glaze and mashed potatoes, the mister had choppino, all of which was excellent! Even the bread with basil oil for dipping was great! All of the seafood was perfectly cooked, not over cooked and rubbery as most places. It's a little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for, and it's awesome! We will for sure be back!

Amazing! The best seafood I've eaten in a long time. Tuna nachos, Lobster roll and the Clam chowder we all outstanding. Our 3 kids had the Rick's grill cheese which was wonderful. Rick was very friendly to us and our kids. He even showed us a huge whole fish they were about to filet. The kids loved it! Great customer service. Fresh seafood flown in. I highly recommend this place and they now have a new repeat customer.

Try, you must try the lobster roll! It's really lobster on buttered bread, it's the REAL THING! $11.99 a la carte or $13.99 with 2 sides. Roll is not too big so if you're a big eater, it may not be enough. Also try the beer battered fish & chips. The fish is awesome, fresh & flaky, tastes like it just came out of the water! They also have other fancy seafood items considering the casual atmosphere.

My review is similar to most of the other yelpers' reviews. Nothing really more to add. We enjoyed the lobster roll, fish and chips and catfish. I like the fact there is brown rice pilaf available as a side dish. The hush puppies could be a little bigger. I'm originally from southern Louisiana, so I'm accustomed to larger, more moist hush puppies. Nice, casual atmosphere. The folks working in the establishment were very friendly. We will definitely be returning.

Definitely the best seafood in Dallas!! They fed Bobby Flay's crew when they visited Dallas! We ordered Lobster Roll and Smoked Salmon Club. Both are fantastic!!! I would go back to try Seafood Gumbo and Ceviche next time!!

Have you ever eaten somewhere when you were full, just because they had something you couldn't pass up? That was the case with Sea Breeze. I had read an article on guidelive about Sea Breeze having authentic lobster rolls. Now I haven't had many authentic lobster rolls, just a few on some of my business trips to the Boston area, but it had been way too long to pass up a lobster roll when I realized I was parked outside of Sea Breeze. The lobster roll was great. Mostly meat, just enough mayo and seasoning to bring out the flavor but not mask it. When you get a few whole claws in the sandwich you know you got the real deal. The bun was lightly buttered and toasted, but still chewy. The fries served on the side were delicious as well. My only complaint is that for $14 the roll wasn't very big. That was the only unauthentic part of the experience. I couldn't imagine eating it for dinner and being full... maybe two of them. I would definitely return, but only for lunch. Of course the roadside place I stopped at in Maine to have my last lobster roll probably paid 4x less for their lobster than Sea Breeze, so that probably accounts for the huge price difference.

Excellent little seafood shop. I had the salmon club sandwich. It was a generous salmon fillet on some nice ciabatta bread - really one of the best fish sandwiches I've had in a long time. The cole slaw and fish taco were good too. We went around 3pm and it was dead, I'm not sure what it's like at lunch time.

I went to Sea Breeze for the first time this past Saturday and I ordered the halibut fish and chips. The fish was very fresh and moist but still held together really well. The batter that they fried the fish in wasn't very seasoned but I actually liked it that way. I was able to really taste the quality of the fish. The chips (fries) were pretty good but I couldn't help to think about Burger King's fries because they were similar in size and texture. I will say this restaurant is pretty expensive. It was $15 or $16 dollars for two and a half pieces of fried fish. Since it was halibut though, it made it a little more understandable but i think $10 would be the best price for a good fried fish basket. A server asked what i would like to drink and i said water. I waited for about 10 minutes and another server come up and asked what i'd like to drink and i said water. Then about 5 minutes later, someone brought me water. It wasn't busy there so that was slightly annoying. The water was good though. I didn't like that the cook got a slice of fish (my fish actually) out of the refridgerated section with his bare hand. Even if his hands are clean, that bothers me. I'm sure this stuff happens behind the scenes at most restaurants though. I will go back because there are a few other things on the menu that I want to try like that lobster roll and the clam chowder.

We went to this place today. After reading all the good reviews on Yelp, I was looking forward to the food. I am writing this review to give the rating a little bit justice. I personally do not think this restaurant deserves a four star. First of all, the set up set us a bit off when first walking into the restaurant. It's an open seating environment where you order at the cashier and get a number. Since we have a incomplete party, I specifically asked a server if it is okay to sit down. The answer is yes. Thus, we walked to a table and sat. One nice waiter came and put up a big table for us since the place mostly have tables for 4. After 10 minutes of sitting and reading a menu, a guy came up to us and said :" I'm gonna need you to move to the corner and wait for the rest of your parties. If you want food, you gotta wait in line. You cannot sit here and take up a table when we have so many customers." That completely throw us off since we were told that we could actually sit down and wait. However, I totally understand that they don't want people taking up empty tables when they are not eating. It would be fine if the guy asked nicely. What throws me off is his attitude. He seems genuinely annoyed and impatient with us and was implying we want to get the food without waiting in line. He kept repeating the sentence "you need to get in line" to get us off of the table. Not wanting to ruin my evening of enjoying some nice food, we went and wait in line to get food, thinking the rest of the party can get theirs when they arrive. What I notice later is that we are not the only party who made the mistake and the waiters have to tell them the same thing. (but in a much nicer manner somehow) What they should do is probably have some sign at the entrance that says:" No sitting until you paid for your food!" Anyways......about the food....to be honest, they turned out to be a disappointment. I got the saute salmon and my mom got crusted scallops. They over cooked the scallops and the insides are tasteless. My salmon is only seasoned on top and the rest of them is very bland, so are the asparagus that I ordered as a side (I had to add salt to my dish). To give them credit, the clam chowder is very good. However, it is a bit over priced in my opinion. the bowl on the menu for $6 is actually a small cup (and you can imagine how small the "cup" on the menu is). As for the freshness. I honestly don't really get it when people say they are really fresh. Don't get me wrong, they taste very good and are well cooked, but as for freshness, they taste as fresh as the fish I get at all other good restaurants. I think the fact that they write "fresh fish" all over on the menu and display raw fish in the front might have something to do with it. Overall, the one thing I liked about the dishes are their good looks. But that's about it. I am interested in trying out some other dishes the the other users suggested.(crab cake maybe?) But I doubt I will return to this place in anytime soon. The service just seems very chaotic and the waiter forgot our fork and my drink. Apparently they do not have a system to track what drink you ordered. You just tell the waiter what you got. I mean, honestly, food is important but would you want to go somewhere where the people deliver bad service and treat their customer badly?

About a year ago I had a craving for fried clams. After searching I found that trying to find that in Texas was going to be an ordeal. I was ready to throw in the towel and start making plans for a long weekend trip to the closest Legal Seafood, in Atlanta, a 14 hour drive away. Did I mention it was a craving? A serious, ready to jump in a car and drive for fried clams. It's happen to all of us I am sure, maybe not with fried clams but we all get those middle of the night wants. Being a native New Englander I have certain expectations for my fried clam plate, clam roll, Lobster roll and clam chowder. Sea Breeze has meet those expectations and saved me a long road trip. The thing that I like about Sea Breeze is that they make certain regional foods the way it is commonly made in those parts of the country. My friend who is from Louisiana gave the gumbo two thumbs up, the lobster roll and fried clams are very similar to what you would find in Massachusetts or Maine. I have also tried the crawfish boil and it was more in the style of of what I have had while in New Orleans vs. what I have tried here in Texas. The clam chowder is OK, I would personally like a little more clam and potatoes, the shrimp bisque is also very tasty but they add whole small shrimp to the bisque instead of finely chopping them and having them integrated through out the soup. These are nit picky little things that I would do differently but it would not stop me from ordering these again. Everything that I have ordered over the last year has always been fresh and well seasoned. So if you are having one of those cravings and it seafood related Sea Breeze may comfort your wants. Now, if they would only make a Portuguese Fisherman's Stew I would be complete.

Like all the other reviews say, their seafood is fresh and tasty but the prices are somewhat high for the small portions. The lobster roll is delicious (still hungry after I finished it and the fries though)

I made another to Sea Breeze today. They remodeled and it now feels like a restaurant instead of a fish market with a few tables. It was a very nice change. I tried the lobster roll today. It was fantastic. The portion size was perfect. It was just enough to fill me up. It had large chunks of lobster on Texas toast. I had the crab cake starter again, and they were wonderful as usual. This place is a little expensive, but when you consider the quality of the meal, it is very fair. I still have not tried dessert. I'm always too full when I finish my meal.

My favorite lobster roll, v delicious n fresh. however, it is really small.....what can I say? Too tiny! Should call itsy bitsy lobster roll. For that price, kinda steep. It won't fill u up. Tried the gumbo, nice but not enticing enough to win me back.

I was very excited to go as their menu looks awesome. It was a very pleasant restaurant. I enjoyed looking at the fish counter while I waited. I ordered a clam roll to go. I got back home and was shocked at how small the roll was. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth $16.99? Absolutely not. I would go back one more time to try other dishes.

Visited Sea Breeze after reading Jamie C's review and he was spot on. This place really did have some of the freshest fish in town. Will be honest in saying that the place doesn't look like much from the outside. The stark interior and strip mall location don't exactly scream "Great seafood restaurant". When you grab a menu and see the prices, you may be tempted to flee with your wallet in tact but those prices will be backed by the quality. The baseball-sized scallops melted in your mouth and the Pacific Fish in Chips was perfectly cooked halibut, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The papaya & coconut laced sweet potatoes and an ample serving of fries were great complements. I'm giving four stars at the moment because there are certain elements in the process that are really slow. Jamie mentioned a line and there certainly is one, but it seems to stem from the fact that the person taking the orders likes to discuss the menu at length with each customer. This is not necessarily a bad thing and it certainly shows that their heart is in the right place, but standing in line for 20 minutes to order sucks, especially when there are only 3 parties ahead of you. I'm sure this will improve over time. The bottom line is that the quality of the food will win you over once you taste it.

Shoot. When I taste fishy fish that's it for me. So I only had about half my talapia, mashed sweet potatoes was good. Add a pound of crawfish, small and not spicey, the corn had the spicy in it. Stick to Nate's on that.

We went back to see the new renovation - hoping the new digs didn't diminish the fantastic food. Actually the menu is better than ever and the food was amazing. Tried the fried oyster appetizer (6 pcs) and they were light and not at all greasy. Then we had mussels in wine sauce with dipping bread, salmon burger, and salmon club. We eat a lot of fish at home and travel to really nice restaurants that charge 2x the price. Even though the food is a little pricey for Plano, Sea Breeze is seriously better than most (Ocean Aire comes to mind at 5 x the price). We don't go during peak hours so I can't comment on wait time but service is normally good.

Sadly, this recently expanded venue lacks any resemblance of a restaurant. While it may be a great market, don't expect anything beyond that in terms of service. Food sits at the kitchen getting cold while patrons are totally ignored by the owner. Only a couple of experienced waitstaff have a clue as to how service customers. Empty water glass? Oh, just ignore them. Ask for anything? "Oh, you're not my table." I'll give them a few months and they'll join the likes of Red's and so many other venues that have closed at Lakeside.

This place is awesome! Based upon reviews on Yelp, I scheduled a dinner here for a large group of people. The service was excellent as was the quality of the seafood. My crab cakes were wonderful and had almost zero filler and the green bean side dish was just amazing. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Ok food but too overpriced and without waiter service. Felt like a fast food place: come to the counter, order $25 entrées, get a number, and wait for it to be brought. I spent nearly $100 for 2. I could have gone to the fine dining place for better food, service, and experience. When walking out from there, I felt totally ripped off!!! Never again. Just go to "Half Shell" in Legacy Shops... much cheaper! waiter service! and, better food!!!

Went here on the recommendation of a friend. The food was great, fresh and tasty. The service was impeccable. My boyfriend ordered the fried platter all of which was yummy and not at all greasy. I ordered the lobster roll which was refreshing and not at all heavy. I also had the lobster bisque which was on special and it was yummy. The food would definitely bring me back, but the employees are what seals the deal as a repeat spot for me. There was a family atmosphere and you could tell the employees loved the restaurant, which says a lot to me. Prices are more than reasonable, especially for seafood this fresh and this well prepared.

This is my favoirite casual seafood restaurant! It is also a seafood market which will sell you fresh seafood. I have one favorite item there which is the lobster roll. It is excellent, tasty bits of lobster in a freshly toasted soft bread roll! Outstanding!! I usually go during the day, if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, you might have a wait to get one of the limited number of tables. I have never had a bad meal there!!

Fish is perfectly cooked - not too dry, not too salty. Everytime we ordered their fresh fish from daily special menu turned out very delicious. The chef does a very good job in preparing the fish. The portion is small, but enough for lunch. We would highly recommend ordering their fresh fish and be more adventurous rather than ordering their gumbo, clam chowder, nor fish and chips. You won't be dissapointed, even with the quite high price, because you'll get the gourmet version in a relaxed casual atmosphere. Service is quick and easy - you ordered, then they'll bring them to your table. You'll get the best prepared seafood that taste even better than fancy/snotty, more expensive restaurants in the DFW area. We love eating seafood, and are very particular about how they taste. Sea Breeze never fails our expectation. We especially love the Asian cole slaw as the side dish. We're glad we found this place.

I just realized, I've eaten a LOBSTER ROLL here and I haven't reviewed it!! Shame on me! The Lobster Roll is a bit smaller than most other places I've eaten. Don't get me wrong, it had a wonderful flavor, buttery, meaty etc..... and the price was lower than most of the other Lobster Rolls in town. But when I get a craving this isn't where I go for Lobster Rolls. This place, I go for all other seafood, they do a great job with their crab cakes, chowder, crawfish, trout etc.... I love the food here, so please do not let this review keep you away. Just if you would like a Lobster Roll, I can direct you to a few better places in town. Rock over London, Rock on Chicago, Wheaties Breakfast of Champions

My dad knows I love Lobster Rolls and he said this was the place! Yep, my father is older and wiser and right on the money when it comes to Sea Breeze's Lobster Roll.. I first ordered the Lobster Bisque, which our server said was "Lobstery" Agree, loaded with chunks of Lobster but so creamy I could feel it sinking into my thighs. Good flavor but a little too thick. The Lobster Roll, incredible! Tender lobster tossed in a light dressing and folded in a piece of garlic, toasted bread. May look small at first but just the right amount of buttery, creamy goodness. Served with a salad of greens, tomatoes and pickled cabbage (nice touch) this was a great meal! It also paired perfectly with a beer. However I do wish they had a selection of light foreign beers, or at least one. Looking forward to returning and eating this again or trying something new! This is one of my new favorites in the Dallas area! oh..our SERVER was FANTASTIC! She's been there a couple of years and knows how to provide great customer service, from knowing the menu and offering to suggestions, to making sure everything was just right!

Sea Breeze Fish Market has some of the best fish taco's outside of Calif. I have ever had. Very fresh!! Tasted amazing! I had the Asian slaw and grilled potato salad on the side.... was perfect!! I can't wait to try more of the menu. Wait staff was as good as you could ever expect. Zero complaints!! Well deserved 5 stars!

Great place for the Seafood lovers! Good selection of fresh fish, scallops, shrimp and lobster. The Sockeye Salmon is in season so that's what I had and it was very good, served cedar plank style. Most of the fish dinners were priced in the $20's. This place is also a fish market so if your looking for a place to get top quality fresh seafood to cook at home then your in luck! I'll be returning soon for sure.

Love this new find. Shocked I couldn't find it on yelp. Seriously good seafood at reasonable prices in a delightful atmosphere. Tucked in the back corner of an upscale Plano shopping center- Weirs is the anchor /Preston at Spring Creek Parkway. We were on our way to zizikis when my husband remembered a friend mentioning this place , so we decided to try something new. The decor inside is delightful. It truly looks like a fish market, white tiled walls, seafood counter on one side bar on the opposite side, cafe tables in the middle and a bank of booths in the back. The place is 5 yrs old and looks brand new, pride of ownership here. Everything is clean and immaculate , I appreciate this very much. Not a big place but roomy enough. In my opinion this is the perfect size for a restaurant - you feel more like a guest. I very much enjoyed my $6 house Chardonnay that was $2 off for happy hour. Server was friendly and attentive. I could tell right away he was very proud to tell us about the chef selections and very excited to explore the menu with us on our first visit, a very good sign. Fresh baked bread arrived at our table hot and delicious, another good sign. Chefs who take pride in their food would never serve bad bread. Husband loved the Lobster bisque, I tried the seafood gumbo. I'm a Cajun gal so I like my gumbo a certain way , it's almost a 90% guarantee the chef won't please me on this one. However, I have to say I enjoyed the cup of gumbo very much. It was good food, not my preferred Cajun style , but very good "soup" nonetheless. I ordered the broiled stuffed shrimp entree, husband had grilled snapper, both were excellent. I'm excited to go back and try more items. Lots if great things on menu. A walk around the dining room revealed they know how to fry food as well. We didn't have any on this visit, but I saw enough good food on other tables to make me want to return for a fried oyster poboy or shrimp or fried calamari. We arrived early on a Friday night. By the time we left the dining room was hoping. All ages show here. Which I like to see. Good food does not have a demographic - it's just good. People come here to eat good food. Period. But I just want to say again: atmosphere is delightful as well. 4 stars is my very best ratung for a 1st time visit. I'm excited about this find and want to share this info with you.

My daughter and I ate here ordering the lobster roll, which was very good, she got the salmon sandwich, outstanding. Sides were good too, grilled potato salad, rice, fries. We also had the clam chowder which was good. We ordered the smoked salmon spread to go. It was so good, I would drive back just for that.

Had dinner here on a Sunday night. Service was kind of slow for weekend dinner. I think they were under staffed but that's okay. Food made up for it! Between the two of us, we shared the ahi tuna nachos. and we each got the lobster roll, what else could you possibly get? Everything was delish!!! I didnt think I could find fresh tuna in Dallas but the tuna nachos were so gooood and fresh! The lobster roll were good, too. I wish it came with two lobster rolls instead of one. hahah. The lobster roll came with two sides, I got grilled potato salad and home made cole slaw. Pass on the slaw but the potato salad was amazeball!!! I would definitely come back!!!

Shrimp cocktail featured fresh jumbo shrimp that were just scrumptious. The wife had the Lobster roll and I had the Arctic Char. Absolutely fantastic. Finished off with a piece of Jans Ice Cream Cake and the wife had the Key Lime Pie. Both were just amazing. Best seafood place we have found so far. Everything was fresh and delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. Can't ask for better.

We had a TravelZoo voucher for this place, and honestly I wasn't sure what to find. I was pleasantly surprised. We arrived at 7pm on Friday night and there was a wait. Not too horrible, 15-20 min. We shared the fried oysters as an appetizer. They are coated with a cornmeal, which made them much lighter than the normal battered kind, although not as crunchy. I had the lobster biqsue, and WOW - it was very flavorful and completely full of chunks of lobster. They did not skimp here. My beau had the Chef's special of crab stuffed lemon sole with mashed sweet potatoes and roasted root vegetables. Normally he foregoes the vegetables, but his plate was clean. He said it was fantastic, light, and delicate. I had the waiter recommended cioppino. It's this soup with mixed fish and shellfish. It is a HUGE bowl and was chuck full of clams, jumbo shrimp, whitefish, mussels, and calamari. The flavor was great and fish was cooked perfectly. Now my cioppino was to come with a salad that never actually arrived. I was going to say something, but honestly, I was so full that I wouldn't have been able to eat it anyway. Waiter never realized his mistake thought. My beau had the key lime pie for dessert. It was very good. The crust was nice and the filling was just right, but they put it on a strawberry glaze decor which flavored the pie. We weren't crazy about that. Overall, we are fans and plan on going back soon. Most likely we will try to hit it when it's not so busy.

This place is legit. The seafood is definitely very fresh and you can totally taste it because they let the fish shine (vs. covering it up with butter and creamy toppings like other restaurants). The lobster roll is a MUST TRY -- super large chunks of lobster. I decided to try the monkfish (never tried it before) and it was beautifully prepared. We also ordered 2 pounds of crawfish as appetizers, I think that was only $10? Not that spicy (boo), but it had a nice lemony flavor to it that was still enjoyable. Like most reviewers say, the prices here are pretty steep, but in the end, fresh seafood is worth it. Also, be prepared to be surrounded by a much older crowd....I mean, it's Plano.

I really like this place. I've been here 2 times and have been pleased with the food and service. It has the atmosphere of a casual eatery with an upscale decor. They have a full bar on the left, an open kitchen in the back and a well-stocked seafood cooler on the right. I've only tried their Lobster Roll and have enjoyed it both times. It's a crisp and buttery roll filled with a creamy lobster salad on top. They aren't stingy with the Lobster and the price reflects that. For about $13 you get the Lobster Roll, hushpuppies and two sides. Not cheap but a good deal for what you receive. They have a selection of sides but I'm partial to their Asian Slaw and French Fries. Their slaw is made with red cabbage with a nice vinegary tang and the fresh taste of Cilantro. The French Fries are thinly cut and well fried and pair nicely with the Malt Vinegar kept on the table. I've also tried and enjoyed their Lobster Bisque which is very creamy with big chunks of Lobster. It was nicely garnished with more lobster and went well with the baguette they give during the dinner hours. I'll certainly be back and hope to try other dishes soon.

Fantastic, fresh seafood - every time i come here, i feel like i'm visiting Fisherman's Warf in San Francisco. You can rest assured that everything is fresh, full of flavor and that these guys really know what they're doing. It is a little pricey - dinner here will cost you $30/entree so I dont visit as often as i would like. Recommend that you try the salmon burger, lobster roll, and any of their featured entrees. You can't go wrong.

After having Sea Breeze bookmarked for what seemed like ages, I finally made it here a week ago. I had no idea where Sea Breeze was located but it's actually near places that I normally frequent (Breadwinners and Japon) but a little bit hidden behind these restaurants. Anywhoo, lunch here was actually pretty busy, the restaurant was more full! You choose your own table and someone will come to help you. My friend and I split a cup of their clam chowder and got our own entrees: the grilled yellowtail for me and the salmon burger for my friend. Quick service! Within 10 min, our clam chowder arrived. Deee-licious! Good to the last drop, Yelpers! Soon after, our entrees came. The yellowtail came grilled and with some sort of salsa on it that I don't remember reading about on the menu. I wasn't the biggest fan of the yellowtail, which is a bummer, cause it was a pretty sizable filet of yellowtail. Not sure if I'll be coming back here any time soon but I wouldn't be against giving it another whirl.
