Bad, bad, bad. It was a Thursday night and the place wasn't too packed, but steady for sure. It was me and my two sisters having dinner and they seat us ALL the way in the back of the restaurant, directly next to the patio doors, in a room with a party of 10-15 adults and their small kids. The kids were running back and forth past us, in and out of the doors. Why? Tell me why you would seat us there when there were plenty of places in the other part of the dining room... Needless to say, we moved to another table. It took almost an hour for our food to come out. I ordered some sort of fajita plate with chicken beef and shrimp. Shrimp tasted awfully fishy, the beef and chicken... NOT EVEN FAJITA MEAT. Yes, they are called fajitas because its a particular cut of meat! Not a boneless chicken thigh and an unknown piece of steak. Are you kidding? The meat wasn't seasoned or anything and it was dry, dry, dry. Beer selection SUCKS. Best thing about this place? The salsa. It was super good. Yea, I don't see that they have improved from when the owners were running Rancho Grande, which right before they closed received like 20 something demerits on their inspection! ICH.

This is not even close to Mexican food and not good food at all, I've given them 3 tries and all were way less than acceptable. Not even good tex-mex. I grew up In South Texas I know good Mexican food and this place is not even on the map with taste. There are so many other Mexican restaurants on the lake that are 100% better than here. Don't waste your money or time!

It was always great when they were Rancho Grande but now it seems they lack customer service.

Service has become pretty bad. The last time in we asked a question about an item on the menu and she said she did not know. That is it, she just stood there. She really did not seem to know much about anything on the menu or the bar. I would go else where.

Fun restaurant. Went with the friends. If you are there for a family outing go earlier in the night as the music is "very adult" after 9:00pm

Beer was warm. Thank goodness I didn't buy the big glass! Food took 1 hour to come out from the time that we sat down. We saw people around us get their food that were served after us. Waiter was nice and staff were attentive to your low drink and chips. Oh, and I saw them take one of the used margarita glasses and run it through water and reuse it. I did not see them run it through any additional sanitizer. Not even to scrub it. I am so glad I ordered a beer. Never seen a Mexican restaurant run out of margarita glasses like this. Just really disappointed with the beer and wait time on food, once we were seated.

The food was excellent and the service was great but it was dark in the restaurant and I couldn't see the menu very well because of the lack of good lighting and the table we were at was really small.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant off HY 105. The food is consistently good and great service.

Me and my boyfriend had lunch there on Valentine's Day. We sat in the bar area for privacy and preference. Excellent service (our waiter was the bartender), there were people there, but it was not crowded. The food was exceptionally excellent though. I had the spicy dirty tacos and they were some of the best tacos I have ever had. My boyfriend was pleased with his meal as well. The margaritas we delicious. Even though I don't live remotely close to this place (we were just driving around the lake looking for somewhere not insanely crowded to eat) we will be back for sure!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
