After giving up on IHOP and Denny's for lackluster service and mediocre food, I felt doomed about our restaurant breakfast options. We decided to try this place on a whim and were amazed! The food is superb. The food isn't swimming with grease on the plate, is very freshly prepared, and tastes delicious. The menu is a bit basic but hits all the right marks. I have tried a few different items on the menu and haven't disliked anything so far. I hope it continues to thrive in our neighborhood.

One of my best friends was visiting home from LA, we are both familiar of the Sharpstown area and had never hear or tried this place out. Decided to check it out. Looked up reviews , it is #1 in the area for breakfast, walking in today Sunday 9:20am it was full but someone quickly left so we got a table pretty quickly. I got the house combo with French toast, it was disappointed bland, egg was just a egg. Salsa wasn't flavorful it tasted a little weird. The bacon was gray and dry. I got a fruit side for my toddler, fresh fruit mostly pineapple. Coffee was cheap tasting. Service is friendly, speedy. Food is okay.

This is a wonderful new addition to our neighborhood. They have great breakfasts, served all day, the best chicken salad sandwiches and reasonable and wonderful dinners. Their Shrimp Brochette is amazing, served with grilled vegetables and rosemary roasted potatoes. The service is excellent and they are so happy to make everything right. If you haven't found this restaurant, you need to check it out.

Nice little quiet diner serving breakfast lunch and dinner and dominating in all 3 the staff is friendly and stay very calm giving off the same tone once you walk in. You can feel the chill vibes haha! I got an omelette and Belgian waffle with bacon and hash browns and it's about that time to chow down Jack!!!

After reading the fantastic reviews for a couple of years, I was finally able to try this place out. I went with my mom for brunch and we were not impressed. As we walked in, the waitress was very nice and welcoming. However, the restaurant was so dirty that she was sweeping for an extended period of time. Not a huge deal, but it was slightly distracting. Overall, the restaurant needs a bit of a makeover. As we were waiting for our food, the waitress brought out tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious as was stated on the news article that was hanging next to our table. Our food came out fairly quickly. I ordered the Garden Omelet and my mom ordered the Greek Omelet. The special requests on the Garden Omelet were granted, but my mom's omelet did not look like a Greek Omelet. It looked like a Garden Omelet. Again, not a big deal, but neither of the omelets tasted good. They were very bland and extra oily. Then, a tiny cockroach on the wall caught my eye and that's when we asked for the check and left.

Pretty disappointing. House special tasteless bland. Child plate came with a fruit salad that tasted like it had been left over from a few days before and still the hardest pancakes. Horned beef hash was stringy over easy eggs where watery. No chips and salsa available.

We drove from our place in Memorial here because they had better reviews than other restaurants near by. This place is definitely worth the drive. We got The House Combo with half a waffle, bacon and eggs. We asked for the bacon extra crispy and they delivered! The waffles are also AMAZING. My husband got the corned beef omelet. They definitely don't skimp on the extras for their omelets. This one was THICK with lots of cheese and corned beef. Their homemade salsa is also to die for. I would definitely recommend this place for a good breakfast!

This place has changed and service is not what is used to be. The place is small and now it feels like they are rushing you out so they can seat the next group or person. Food is not all that anymore either. Only one waitress there that keeps her smile bright and her service friendly.

This place is excellent. For the neighborhood it was different than what you would think it would be. It was clean, normal noise level, and the wait staff spoke full english. The service was friendly and the food was fast, hot and tasted great. Glad I found this place. It will become a normal breakfast spot for me.

When asking what a girl friend wanted for brunch, she said "omelettes or waffles". Thanks to a quick yelp search, this was the obvious choice. The location is easy to miss in a small shopping strip. The inside is small, but clean and bright. All of the people working there were very friendly. My friend ordered a ham and cheese omelette with home fries and I got a single egg breakfast plate with sausage and potato cake. Both came with a delicious warm salsa on the side. Her omelette was fluffy with plenty of filling; the home fries cooked through and had some peppers and onions. My sausage was juicy and the potato cake had a great crust on the outside. All the food was yummy and fresh. My orange juice was also good. It wasn't busy during our visit, and we were there for around 2 hours. Even when we were done eating and just catching up, the staff continued to check on us and refill our waters. We noticed that many of the other patrons were regulars and the staff knew them all by name. There are plenty more options on the menu that I'm sure I'll be back to try.

My French toast portion was ridiculously for the cheap price! My ribeye was perfectly cooked to the medium rare I requested. The sautéed green bean with red onion was so good, I wanted more.. Friendly staffs. I would definitely come back!

This restaurant is barely noticeable, in a nondescript shopping center. I'm glad Yelp exists so people can find out about it. It's very small and simple with really great service. I always have the house combo with French toast and I really appreciate that they always have sugar-free syrup on hand.

Great service. Very personal. Cook came out to check if everything was all right. Food was perfectly cooked. I would have given it five stars if it wasn't for the coffee, old and watered down.

Good food cooked fast This restaurant is pretty darn good, and it just tastes healthy even though you get waffles and omelettes. The breakfasts are complete, and made to order. The chorizo and egg omelette was fantastic and the waffle tasted really good. The restaurant is very small so get there early on Sunday, but there is free parking and tables move quickly. The breakfasts are very nice, and I dont think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Waffles are served with fruit. Enjoy!

I work at a larger breakfast-oriented restaurant and was looking for a place nearby that served similar food with less grease - I've definitely found it. I can't believe this place has been here for over a year and I just discovered it today! I ordered a waffle with bacon and a side of grits. The waffle was fluffy, and came with strawberries, banana, and whipped cream on top. The bacon was equal parts crispy and fatty - just the way I like it! And the grits were your standard-issue grits, priced very reasonably for the amount you get. Overall I was really pleased with my meal, which all together cost less than $10. Will absolutely be coming back soon. If you can look past the sign and the garish, typo-ridden menu, you'll find that the aptly named Omelette and Waffle Restaurant is a fantastic place.

My husband and I were searching for a local place to have breakfast on a Sunday morning since we figured all the big chain restaurants will have a line of hungry waiting people I came across this place on yelp and we were not disappointed at all I had the French toast and side of hash browns (yumm) my husband had the western omelet that was huge and he said very good next time we fine out way back in that part of Houston this will be the place we go!

I thought I had already written this review but I guess not. Place is very small and you most likely always drive right past it. I stopped by the people were extremely friendly. The service was fast and the food was good. Dont remember what I ordered but I think Im going to stop there after the commissary today.

This is a hidden gem of sharps town. The place has the best breakfast in the southwest of Houston. A great lunch and dinner too. They have the best chips and salsa. I always get chicken breast with broccoli try to eat healthier. Great Belgium style thick waffles. Try it and you will be back!

I have such a soft spot for no-frills, unpretentious diners that serve really good breakfast. If you do too, Omelette & Waffle Restaurant is right up your alley. If you're still 'waffling' over the decision to go to Sharpstown for brunch, hopefully this review will 'egg' you on. Now that I've concluded the verbal acrobatics (har), everything here is fresh, well-prepared and delicious. We came late on a Sunday afternoon (it closes at 3) and had no problem getting seated. I had the combo plate with scrambled eggs, a half-waffle and hash browns while the most Elite of Yelpers, David N., dug into a corned beef omelette, potato cake and toast. I tried the omelette and potato cake and both were awesome. The omelette was very fluffy and the potato cake was well-seasoned and crispy. The seasoning almost tasted Indian. I really enjoyed all of my breakfast. The waffle reminded me a bit too much of those that we used to make in the waffle iron in my college dorm cafeteria. I wonder if they're using the same batter. I used to enjoy those though, so whatevah. I'm really glad we tried this place as brunch has become less a roll-out-of-bed-and-eat-delicious-food sort of ritual in most urban areas and more about finding the right dress to wear while still eating stuff coated with maple syrup. Adulthood is hard, man. That's why I embrace places like Omelette & Waffle more than ever. Where else can you roll in to impeccably clean tables, great service, free coffee refills before you've emptied your cup, tasty, simple food that doesn't leave you incapacitated to the point where you go back to bed until 6 PM and hot, fresh chips with awesome salsa at brunch even if you AREN'T ORDERING LUNCH? With that crescendo, I think I've made my point. If this homey little place were closer, I'd be a regular. O & M is a brunch OG, for sure. Don't come here if you are expecting bloody mary bars or red velvet pancakes. Come here if you want delicious breakfast, plain and simple.

I had the steak platter and my boyfriend had the customized omelette. My steak was overcooked to the point that it was chewy. The fruit was not sweet at all. The scramble eggs are okay, though. My boyfriend liked his omelette, though. He also liked his hash brown. I'm giving this place 3 stars because the service was great. The ladies were very attentive.

I've been going here since they opened not too long ago. The place was started by 2 brothers that have an extensive body of experience in the hotel/restaurant industry. The food and service are excellent. The pricing is cheap compared to large chains like Chilli's that serve reheated Sysco food. Everything here is made from raw materials and it shows in the end product. Their Texas Burger is outstanding and the best burger I have had anywhere. Breakfast eggs are also great and never coated in grease/oil. The dining space is small but the size of the building causes this so it is best to avoid peak times and go during the off hours like a late lunch at 2pm to have no wait time.

My fiancee and I decided to go here to break away from our IHOP, Waffle House and Frank's Diner breakfast routine. The place is extremely small, and stays busy, so you may have to wait a while for a table. The service is SLOW. We had to wait an extended time for everything: for a waitress, to order, for our food, for our ticket, and to pay. Not only did we have to wait until several other tables that arrived AFTER us, but they still managed to make my omelet wrong. When you are paying extra for a "build your own" you kinda expect the ingredients to be in the omelet. The waitress' solution was to offer 2 sausage patties on the side (when I'm half done eating... NOT.) The other order was just grits and eggs... so I see no reason for the order to take 20 minutes in a place that small. Portion sizes were small (especially the grits) so I don't know what some of the reviewers are used to. Glasses for juice are mismatched in type and size, but you are still charged the same. The place sure isn't "quiet" either, and I hate not being able to see my breakfast being made. All in all, I feel that most of the reviews are way off base. We will NOT be going back. Frank's Diner is a far better option for the money.

When we first pulled up, i had to double check yelp to be sure. It's a nestled in a strip center that doesn't have the best look. We decided to go in and try and I'm glad we did. It is hard to decide what I enjoyed most. The waffle was delicious. Slightly crispy on the edges with fresh fruit and whip cream. Between my husband and I we tried- French toast, waffle, bacon, omelette, home fries and scrambled eggs. We were not disappointed. Don't let outside appearance discourage you.

This place looks terrible from the outside, but the food was freaking awesome! Inside is simple and clean. I shared a few things with a friend and we were both impressed, cleaning all the plates. Omelette was perfectly cooked; the veggies were hot but not overcooked. The waffle was fluffy and crispy. Bacon wasn''t greasy, perfectly crispy and just salty enough... and there were 3 strips instead of only 2 like most places. The hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and plentiful. The service was excellent...we never wanted for anything and the waiter was extremely polite and smiley...he seemed genuinely grateful for our business and took pride in the presentation. I don't live in Houston, but when I'm there, I'll go back to Omelette & Waffle!

I love little "Mom and Pop" places. I decided to check it out because of the reviews. I went on a Sunday and the place was packed. It only has about 8 tables so that wasn't hard. I sat at the counter which is not very comfortable because it is low. Unfortunately they were short handed and it took awhile to get my order. Surprisingly once I placed my order the food came quickly The waffle was good and hot. It was not the best I ever had but it was good. Served with fresh fruit. The bacon was a bit overcooked for me. The serving size was very nice. Good coffee (which is nice for a diner). I saw other people's orders that looked good. Because I love small places and I was pleased but the prices, I will go back. One note: all the misspelled words and grammatical errors on the menu was rather comical. Apparently English is not the owner's native language but I think they should have have someone proof read. Lol

Everything tastes really fresh. The omelets are my favorite on the menu: fresh ingredients and made perfectly. Paired with the golden slices of white toast and crispy hashbrowns, it fills me up for a good chunk of the day. Waffles are crispy in the right places. The waitresses are very nice and attentive. Overall, my favorite breakfast restaurant to go to.

Recently stumbled upon this place and can't get enough. Tucked in a strip mall almost hidden amongst the other stores in the strip. This place will out perform other eateries for a lot less money. Don't let the area keep you from coming in. There are good things happening here.

Friendly service and great breakfasts. I haven't tried the rest of the menu but if you want a well-prepared basic breakfast it's hard to go wrong here. I've been three times and ordered the same breakfast plate (2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties, home fries, English muffin and orange juice) and it's been equally good each time.

We stopped in this past Sunday right before heading to kite festival. He orders the usual breakfast hash along with potato pancake. My order was 2 eggs, sausage links, English muffin, potato pancake sounded good with herbs. My potato pancake last only a few moments before it was gone, lightly crisped, pretty darn good. Eggs were good, and English muffin was the second to go. Service was really nice and helped us decide on what to order. There is plenty of parking available and stop in early to avoid the rush. They also have lunch options which I would like to try out next time. Our meal kept us happy campers till around noon when we decided to munch on some fruit and walk around the festival.

I'll start off by mentioning the pros of this place. The Pros - Good food - Decent Prices (without substitutions) - Good coffee The cons - The waitress was rude - You have to ask for service if you want any at all. - They up charge like crazy. - They don't cater at all to dietary restrictions. I enjoyed my meal, but for me to sub one of my sides for tomato slices cost me $2.99 and it only came with four slices. Also, this place is pretty basic when it comes to decor and you can tell that more care is put into the food than the atmosphere, but if you are anything like me, it's the food you are there for. Not the paintings on the wall. Try it if you want to. I probably won't come back just because I hate horrible service in restaurants and no matter how good the food is, if you are rude to me then I won't come back and give you my money.

After living in Sharpstown for several years, we finally tried this place out several months back. We have been back a number of times now. It is very small inside (maybe 10 tables) but we have always had a spot to sit. The service is very friendly and atmosphere very casual. I have tried the breakfast combo several times and also the quesadilla. There is nothing new or unique about these dishes, but they taste very good and I don't have to worry about starting a grease fire on my plate. And the prices are nice and low too. We will continue to support this great local eatery.

Long wait. My poor baby just kept looking at other people's food coming out first before ours (even though they came in later). The chef decided to cook thr bigger party's food before ours. We waited 45 mins already and food still ain't out from this. Husband had to say just at least get the food out for our daughter...5 mins aftee hers is cooked. Ours we still had to wait till the rest in the restaurant (it seems) got theirs served. I am definitely not happy when I'm at a cheap eat and they think that they're making me wait as if they were a 5 star restaurant.

Really solid breakfast with lots of flavor. My Husband is addicted to Omelettes so we had to come and try this place out. Food Chips and Salsa-Odd for breakfast but I tore into them so good, just wish the salsa wasn't warm I don't get that. Husband-Bacon and Sausage omelette with American cheese. He said it was stuffed perfectly and really tasty. The potatoes were so good on the side but they only give you a few but it actually is just enough. Me-Veggie Omelette was fresh and simple with goat cheese, once again loved the potatoes. I had a side of fruit that was dense and sweet. We will be back, great service and solid food...

Don't let the outside fool you, STOP and go inside. Breakfast was fabulous, first off chips and salsa for breakfast I thought was strange, the best and freshest salsa I have ever had. Wife and I left stuffed to the gills for 20 bucks. Everything is fresh made from scratch. This place is a diamond in the rough. Can't wait to try dinner !!!!

Some may call this place a 'hole in the wall,' but I think it has a nice, authentic vibe. It's quite small, so it easily gets crowded. Most of the tables (about six) were filled when I came on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was nice and attentive, which goes a long way at mom and pop-type establishments. If nothing else, I would return to this place just for the house salsa! Hands down, it was the best part of my visit. They bring it to your table warm with chips. It tastes really good on the scrambled eggs, too. The House Combo was pretty decent. It comes with eggs, your choice of sausage or bacon, and your choice of French toast, pancakes or 1/2 waffle. I chose bacon and the waffle. It came topped with strawberries, bananas and whipped cream, and warm maple syrup. The bacon was a bit crunchy, but edible. The orange juice tasted like Minute Maid, but hey, at least it wasn't Tang!

When I first went in, I thought, ugh I better get this to go because there was a strong air of cleaning supplies. After looking at the menu I guess my nose became accustomed to it so I dined in but every once In awhile I'd catch a Whif of it so I ate rather quickly. So heads up come a later than an hour after opening because apparently they do their major cleaning early in the morning. I ordered two eggs scrambled (I'm really happy that they are REAL eggs with shells you have to crack open!!!). They were not seasoned with anything but they were cooked well. House fries, which are a bit over seasoned and over cooked (you can tell they cook a lot of them and then reheat them) made up for the eggs as I just ate them together. Pancakes which were a little dry but nice and fluffy and had fresh strawberry slices on top w/ a lil powdered sugar! Bacon was very tasty (great quality pork here guys!) though a little dry as well. The red salsa they give you is AWESOME. One of the best salsa'a in town. I prob would come here again but I would be very specific with my waitress about how I want my food cooked.

One of my favorite breakfast places to eat since moving to Houston last year. It's a small quiet mini diner. I like to come here on Sunday mornings to have a good breakfast without killing my pockets. Their hashbrowns totally rock! Crispy on the outside, and soft and flaky on the inside. The servers are always nice and prompt with service, and it's clean ALL THE TIME. I come here at least once or twice a month for their hearty breakfasts.

Quiet and simple restaurant. They give you salsa and chips to snack on which is awesome because I was hungry. I was craving breakfast for dinner that's how I came about searching for a breakfast place open late. The decor could use an update, but it's decent for a family owned business. My boyfriend ordered the garden omelette and 2 chorizo breakfast tacos. I ordered the house breakfast combo (two eggs, 1/2 waffle, bacon, homefries). Omgoodness the salsa is awesome!! I could probably have it on everything. The food was wonderful. Service was quick! Everything tasted fresh and hot. It definitely satisfied my craving. The service was fantastic. They were very hospitable and we definitely appreciate it. I chatted with the owner. They have been here for 4 years, and he stated that they thing that they do different here is that everything is done as fresh as possible. We will be back to satisfy all of my breakfast needs.

I went to Omelette & Waffle Restaurant for the first time today on the recommendation of my sister. It is a small cafe located in a strip mall and I had doubts about whether I made a good choice for a Sunday morning when I saw the size. I walked in and every table was taken, so I walked to the counter and asked if I could get the next table available. Within a minute a table became available and the waitress was wiping it down for me. I ordered coffee while I waited and was pleasantly surprised that it was tasty and hot. Although the restaurant is very small (maybe 10 tables with an occupancy of about 30 max) and the decor is a little tired, it is a very clean restaurant including the bathrooms. The food is very good, and every single plate of scrambled eggs, omelettes, french toast and waffles that came out of the kitchen looked delicious. Even the food that came out for lunch (sandwiches, burgers, and quesadillas) looked really good. My friend and I both ordered scrambled egg plates and home fries and I have to say, everything was great. The potatoes were cooked particularly well, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The prices are very reasonable for large portions they served. We were both impressed with our experience. My only suggestion would be to slap a coat of paint on all of the walls and maybe hire one more waitress. Even though the restaurant is small, there was a lot going on, so it took a little while to get coffee refilled. The noise level was also not too high to be able to hear each other, which is a rarity these days. Our overall experience was excellent, so I am looking forward to going back again and trying the breakfast tacos. I wish we could give half stars, because I would only knock off a half a star for the ambiance.

I've had this restaurant bookmarked for a long time, and I finally decided to swing by for breakfast recently. I had a omelette with cheese, peppers, onions, and ham. It came with a side of hashbrowns, and they were probably amongst the best I've had - piping hot, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. Service with friendly and efficient, they had Tabasco, and they take credi/debitt cards. So why only three stars? I got a massive stomachache a few hours after eating here. And I definitely do NOT have a sensitive stomach. I've been running to the bathroom for the past two days, and I'm almost positive that this place is to blame. No one else seems to have had this issue, and this restaurant honestly looks cleaner than most of the other restaurants in this area. Maybe I came on an "off" day, but I'm not sure if I'd chance it again.

I came here awhile back with my eating buddy Nupur! The review had been sitting here pending for awhile and I finally decided to finish it out. We were both looking for a place to eat brunch on a Sunday afternoon and we both happened to have this place as a mutual bookmark. For anyone who knows me, I love exploring. Even though I have stepped back a bit and started revisiting some of my favs more often. We were both hesistant since this is not where you would normally go for Brunch, but the yelp reviews were high! First off, remember on Sundays it closes at 3 PM!!! The place is kind of small, but the time we went it wasn't difficult finding a table. I had the corned beef omellette, potato cake, and toast and my friend had the scrambled eggs, half waffle, and hash browns. Overall, nothing was that spectacular. It was all just run of the mill food. But the price was fair and it was quick. I enjoyed the company more than the food.

A small mom and pop shop located smack in the middle of what some people would call a "ghetto" shopping area is home to one of the best breakfast diners I've been to in Houston. If you're coming here for the first time, don't be scared or turned off by the surroundings because you will not find a better Mexican omelette elsewhere. So if you made it this far, suck it up and come in for great service and even greater food. Boyfriend and I both order the Mexican omelette. Stuffed with chorizo, the fluffy omelette was topped with warm red salsa, pico de gallo, fresh avocado, and some kind of cheese that was to die for. I got a side of the home fries and I personally think they're much tastier than your regular ol' hash brown (which were still good too). The fries were seasoned well in a cajun-y mix with a few bell peppers and onions. It was absolutely phenomenal. Being the fatties we are, we also had to get an order of the Belgian waffle. I got too full to try it, but the boyfriend said that it was good but way too fluffy and not crispy enough for him. Take it whichever way, but I have to admit that the waffle smelled heavenly. Now the service was exceptional. We had a waitress who came by often, but we're the annoying patrons that always need something when she's not around. However, all the girls there were extremely nice and helpful. Overall, I will definitely recommend this place. I want to come back and try their breakfast tacos and even their lunch items. I enjoyed my experience here a lot and I think the price:food portion ratio is quite favorable!

It looks kinda shady on the outside, but inside is pretty darn nice! I've eaten here several times during my lunch break. It's got a nice variety of the tex-mex (enchiladas are gooooood) but if you're feeling more breakfast/brunch, the belgian waffles are amazing as well. I can feed myself for less than $10. The chips and salsa are yummy!

Attentive staff, prices are more than reasonable for the amount and quality of food. Small place but the food was spectacular. It will be mixed into my rotation of places I frequent.

Good food. Decent prices. There's not much of an atmosphere here, but the tasty food makes it a simple, no-fuss breakfast eatery. The hostess was nice enough, too.

This place was great I was surprised of how good it was, the food was amazing and the service was excellent only down side is the locations is really small so no big party's. It's close to home so I will definitely return!!

Homemade salsa? They got it. Good service with a great attitude? Yep, got that too. Breakfast all day? Sure, no problem. Other dishes besides Breakfast? Yes and it is quality fish, beef and chicken dishes at a reasonable price. What's missing? You, if you are looking for a casual diner with food the quality of the big boys from a staff of brothers who care about your food as much as you do. However, avoid the homemade guacamole...it's addicting and you will never be satisfied with anyone else's guacamole ever again. Save room for the Banana foster, it's homemade too. BYOB of wine.

What better way to start of Cinco de Mayo than with an omelette! But first: I overheard a customer asking their server when Cinco de Mayo is... FYI it's today, May 5th. They then continued on to ask if it is always celebrated on the same day. Just like how the Fourth of July falls on the sixth day of the month just for fun (sarcasm alert). Kudos to the staff for answering them with a smile. Enough of that. I had the Mexican omelette which comes with a home fries/hash and toast. Was pretty surprised at the size of the meal when everything came out. The omelette was burrito sized and topped with pico de gallo, cotilla cheese, and avocado slices. The avocado was worked well to cool down the chorizo's heat. It was a super flavorful omelette and very filling. Looking forward to try their other menu items, maybe their namesake waffles?

Wonderful little place! The waffles and pancakes are great. I didn't get an omelette this time, but surely will on a follow-up visit. The fruit on top of the pancakes/waffles is a nice touch. Their coffee is bold, flavorful, and smooth. If you like good salsa, don't hesitate to dump the portion provided en masse on your eggs--it's very good. There aren't a lot of tables, so if you can convince one of their neighbors to give up some space, consider it a community service!

I was looking for a decent breakfast place for my family to try on Yelp and ran across Omelette & Waffle Restaurant. So I thought "sure why not". So we drove to a small strip center, and my wife thought "we are eating here". The shopping center has seen better days. We went inside and the place was small, but nice. We had no problems finding a table at 9:30am on Saturday. The menu had a surprising good selection of items. Also the service was good and attentive. We had the corned beef omelet, Mexican omelet, waffles and a few other items. We were not disappointed with the food. Overall, I will definitely recommend this place.

Awful service! The place only holds about 30 people, and at least half of them were already eating. I waited a half an hour after I ordered, then when they brought my order, it was wrong. They had to be asked twice to wipe the table at which they seated me. This place should go out of business. Is there a decent breakfast place in this area?

This place is meh. I had a coffee and there was a lipstick stain on the mug from the last person who used it. Turn off. The food was not that great. My black beans looked like it was from a can and the Mexican rice tasted like the kind that is instant. The fish tacos weren't anything great. My husband did love his burrito.

Friendly atmosfere e fresh food! Few options, but nice home made style. Mix mexican style, but don't loose the american breakfast way. Price from 6-9 dollars for regular dishes.

06/29/14 Hole in the wall, mom and pop diner but done just right. Food and service make the 4 star rating. Came here with my parents and we all ordered breakfast. The Mexican omelette (chorizo, pico de gallo, and cotija cheese) was well done, slightly greasy but just the way homemade should be. Served with fresh red salsa and a side of a potato cake (beats the traditional order of hash browns). Also had half an order of French toast; nothing spectacular but was cooked just right. Can't really ask for much more quality at their prices. Service was attentive and courteous, even handled my special request for an extra crispy potato cake with no problems. Don't let the location, exterior/interior design fool you; this place is definitely worth a try. Very fairly priced and better than Denny's or IHOP in quality.

Simple food done right. This no frills breakfast spot is located in what used to be one of the better parts of town...back in the 1970s that is. I ordered the Mexican omelet with avocado and an OJ. The omelet which consisted of at least 3 maybe 4 eggs came with chorizo and cotija cheese on top, pico and avocado slices inside. The menu does not indicate that is comes with avocado but there was definitely 3-4 slices inside. The omelet came with one side, so I chose the home fries. These were seasoned with kosher salt and some type of cajun seasoning and were pretty good. The 4 slices of toast were pretty standard, not bad but certainly nothing special. The OJ was clearly pasteurized (not fresh squeezed) and I don't remember how much it was but it wasn't that bad. Again, I wasn't expecting small gourmet touches before coming here, so the OJ was no surprise. While nothing just blew my mind with flavor, I will definitely be coming back to try other breakfast items like the potato cake, the waffle and the bacon. Prices were reasonable and about what you would expect for the area.

Yummy food and great variety. Breakfast, brunch, lunch and I think dinner also. Hidden gem hole in the wall in Sharpstown/sw area. Near the memorial hermann hospital and arandas bakery. I loved their birgers and breakfast. Check it out.

Just tried this place when my regular breakfast diner's cc machine was down. What a nice surprise! The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. The sausage patties were not greasy. The service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely love this place. We come here often. Omelettes and waffles are great but they also have gourmet-level cooking of all kinds of food - steak, chicken, salads, enchiladas, fish, absolutely love it. We never leave here hungry and the service is great. Owners are super nice. This is a hidden gem in Sharpstown. Very inexpensive too.

Waffle not done, orange juice taste like "orange flavored" water, coffee gross, eggs cold, steak order rare but was over cooked. Uggghhhhh. Never again.

My gf and I LOVE this great little restaurant for breakfast and brunch on the weekends. It's very small, maybe 8 tables, and every time we've come in they've been doing a brisk business, but it's just not even possible for it to get so busy the waitstaff loses track of us. Every food item we've tried (especially the omelettes and waffles, as you'd expect) has been solid to awesome, and there's plenty of variety. Highly recommend.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
