National burger chain, so not much to add here. Burgers tend to be a bit watery for my taste.

Really good hamburgers and potato wedges. My friends tried the grilled chicken and that was good too. And nice and spacious restaurant nearby the NASA Johnson space center.

Great burgers and all that. But two recommendations: 1. More air conditioning 2. Less flies.

Why is it that I turn into an 8 year old when I come to this place? Fries, beef, and soda... Oh my! This place has a great atmosphere and great burgers! My food of choice is a bacon cheeseburger! This place has a salad bar, which at times I am weary about. I have a thing about food being exposed to the elements, and by that I mean dirty hands and what else it may come across! But I take one for the team and still indulge. Lol What draws me in and makes my mouth water like Pavlov's dogs is the hot jalapeño cheese! Yummy! I put it on my burger and dip my fries in it! It's delicious to me! The new age soda fountains are a refreshing surprise. Although I must admit it took me a minute and a couple of head scratches to figure it out! The selection of sodas is out of this world! Some flavors in have never heard of! It's a wonderful little gadget there! A great place for the price!

Service was great! She was willing to play around with the price to see if buying the meal was a better deal than the deal they were giving. The burger was juicy and yummy. Very flavorful. I love the unlimited condiment bar (lettuce, tomatoes, etc) I also love the melted cheese! I dipped the burger and fries in it. I had the BBQ bacon burger and the tried the bourbon burger. Both were great! Loved them both

Can't complain :) I love the healthier options but still the same good ole taste of the Fuddruckers that I remember! Try the bunless burgers. Good option for those that are trying to do low-carb or gluten-free diets. I love how, even though this place is packed, they are still super quick during the heavy lunch hours. The location isn't the best right now bc there is a lot of construction.

I have been going to Fuddruckers for probably more that 20 years. And I still love it. In fact I think I love it more now than I used to. I always went to this location when I go, and it gets pretty busy, especially during prime-time lunch and dinner hours. But the food is definitely worth it. Aside from the fact that if your order takes more than 20 minutes you get a refund, I find that this is probably the best burger restaurant I have been to. Something in the combination of charcoal-grilled burgers and other meats, fries that are always tasty, especially with cheese sauce on them, and a variety of other meats and salads and desserts, and the fact that you can dress you sandwich any way you want with a large variety of condiments, makes this burger joint stand out. I also visit the one on South MacGregor Way, which is joined to the Luby's there. Same great experience!

Another great meal with the kiddo...he had the kid's plate with chicken tenders and fries - he ate every bite. I had the hangover burger with a fried egg - good, but wished that the egg was a bit runny - that way it would have been gooey...just a preference. Staff was great - place was clean and the food was good.

Predictable and dependable, so really what else can you ask for from a burger place? (A lot, but the best thing about here is the consistent all over the country)

This is a great place to eat! Very family friendly! We were helped by a guy named Micheal and he is the nicest server ever. He continually checked on us to make sure we were okay and was overall so sweet!

I'm always on the quest for a good burger, and for years, Fuddruckers has delivered with great consistency. I just visited this Southwest location and tried a build-your-own burger with the sweet, buttery and fluffy white bun, sliced avocado, Swiss cheese, and fat, grilled onions (no kisses tonight, lambs!). The patty was perfectly seasoned and juicy. I was bummed when I anihilated my 1/3 lb. burger in three seconds and considered going back for seconds. It was that good. I'm trying to wean off Coke, but the soda machine is pretty rad and hard to resist. I love vanilla Coke but not too sweet. Here, I can add just a splash of the vanilla to appeal to my tastebuds and call it a day. If you have not tried Fuddrucker's, get with the program! This place offers a pretty legit burger and is family-friendly. I've tried Fuddruckers around town, and this one is solid.

Average. Burger meat is not top notch. Fries tasted bitter. Fryer oil needs to be changed. Will not be back.

Solid and consistent burgers. You know exactly what the expect. Prices aren't too bad either. You can usually get a meal (burger, fries, drink) for under $10. I usually order the Hangover burger or the grilled chicken sandwich if I'm not feeling beef that day. Fries are good, but not amazing. I also enjoy their onion rings but they give you SO much that I rarely finish half. The soda dispensing machine is pretty high tech.

From: ChefDan the Flavor King I'm about to lose some credibility here as an Executive Chef but I don't care. I think Fuddruckers is WAY better than Beck's Prime. Yeah I said it! I've never understood why people think Beck's is that good (except that awesome campfire smell) and why some people think Fuddruckers isn't better than it is. Excepting that Fuddruckers can't grill their onions correctly, I even like it better than Five Guys. 1. The burgers are juicy and buns are perfect. 2. Their soda/beverage machine is the REALLY cool one with a bazillion choices. 3. The steak-fries are great and seasoned nicely. 4. Their do-it-yourself condiment bar ROCKS. Who else even has one? But here's the main, weird reason I love it. I order one the 1/2# Hangover Burgers Medium Rare; go to the condiment bar and: 1. Add some jalapenos to the burger. 2. Pile the nacho-cheese sauce on the platter (the size of a small baseball), .....and shamelessly dip every bite into the cheese. Now frankly I'm not even sure if it's cheese. LOOKS like cheese...tastes SORT OF like cheese. Don't know, don't care. But man is it REALLY REALLY good that way. You have to at least try it once. I have a private "fifth" star that I add for myself for that experience. Keep this on your Saturday-day radar.

Been a while since I wrote a review and noticed my last review was around and during the remodel / redecoration. Been back many times since and have always been pleased with the food. Still the best burgers in town in my opinion. This one is so much better than the small one near our house in Meyerland. Think it is because they bake their breads and desserts here....

  • Vinh N.

I don't know what's in the patty but the veggie burger is tasty. It looks like some type of grain with minced carrots throughout. Sure, it's more expensive than Prince's across the lot but you get a lot more options to customise. Add some green and reds from the salad bar (including pico de gallo!) and a splash of the hot cheese sauce and you got a quite a burger. That cheese sauce is delicious whether with the jalapenos or without. Fries seem to always be fried consistently with the right amount of seasoning. Then their soda machine is out of this world. It offers various flavour additions to the sodas but I usually stick to the basic suds. Burger fries and a drink cost you about $12. Normal for a decent combo these days. I would have freaked out over paying this amount during my college days but that's why I went to school. So that I make enough not to fuss over these things.

Awesome! I love their burgers and infinite condiment/salad bar! Hot cheese and fries? Check! Hot cheese and burger? Check! Hot cheese and... pickles? CHECK! Each time I go to a Fuddruckers, my burger comes out just like I want it -- medium rare to perfection. Meat is tender and juicy and so delicious!!! The seasoned potato wedges dipped in ketchup completes the meal. This location meets my expectations. The arcade, even though outdated, is still fun. Time crisis with my little cousins was fun and winning a plush dog from the crane machine was even more fun. This location gets extra credit for being honest as well. Someone in my group lost their wallet and didn't find out until hours later. A quick call to the restaurant revealed that the wallet was found. It was picked up the next morning with all the cash still inside! Thanks Fuddruckers!

Me and my coworkers frequent this location often for lunch. The food has always been good, as well as the customer service. My only complaint is that the relish bar is no longer accessible on both sides being that they pushed it up against a wall. This was not a very efficient thing to do as now you have to stand in a line to dress your burger out.

Great burger place even though it's a chain and I don't typically like chain restaurants. They have a vegetable toppings bar which you can get as much as you want! Order a burger not a salad if you come here because this place is known for their burgers. I was a little miffed because I ordered an elk burger but they didn't have any so I had to get a original 1/3. You won't find this type of cheese sauce anywhere else. Rich creamy and not too heavy. They have those cool automatic drink machines you see nowadays in restaurants. Desserts look great, never tried them though Watch out for the milkshakes! My friend found a fly in hers.

I come here atleast once a month. The spot is great for families or just you & a couple of friends. They do serve beer & play sports on their tv's for the most part. Though it isn't really a sports bar. It's aimed more for families from what I can tell. The seating is decent, you have plenty of options to choose from. You can even sit outside if you want. Tons of soda options, games for the little ones & just a normal chill ambient feel to the whole place. It's not the best best, but you'll crave it & will be back again.

  • Hanh N.

No matter what time you come here the food comes out quick! Lunch or dinner time they make sure to get you fed and out the door if needed. You order your burger at the front- My favorite is the Inferno- Spicy jalapenos, caramelized onions, pepper jack cheese... oh bloody hell, now I want one this second. Once they call your name you go up to the counter and grab your tray and head to the salad bar area where you can dress up your burger any way you like it. THE BEST PART??? THE NACHO CHEESEEEEE at the condiments station. Who doesn't like to dip their french fries in ooey gooey goodness??? I might be over doing it though when I pour the nacho cheese on each bite of my burger. DON'T JUDGE ME.

Um. YES PLEASE!! Here's the rundown: My date and I rolled in at 9:30 (they close at 10 on Monday nights). There weren't a whole lot of people there besides us, but that's okay; the staff was still super welcoming and friendly. The lady at the counter (Pamela, you are awesome!) was hilarious, friendly, and attentive. Massive burgers and sweet potato fries hit the spot (the turkey burger was not as good microwaved the next day, but you probably knew that) And, you can't beat the fixin's bar! I personally love piling on the lettuce and tomatoes, but they also have onions, pickles, pico de gallo, jalapenos, and probably another couple of items I can't think of right now. And, of course, there's ketchup, mustard, deli mustard, mexican hot sauce, tabasco, etc...

Excellent food, very clean restaurant and the customer service is top notch. I've had everything on their menu but the grilled or blackened tilapia is the best - and heart healthy too. Very good place to eat.

My hubby and I were debating where to go for date night. Being in a hamburger mood (and having never been to a Fuddruckers before), we set on this restaurant. Thoughts on my experience that jump to mind: Friendly waitstaff. Clean. Affordable. Delicious burger. Seriously, could not put that Southwest deliciousness down. Awesome hamburger bar choices. Went a little crazy with the jalapenos. Coca-Cola Freestyle. That awesome soda machine where you can mix dozens of different flavors together in one cup. Hot, well-seasoned fries. Maybe some of the best potato wedge fries I have ever had. Old-fashioned chocolate milkshake. Mmm. My husband and I will definitely be back!

Yes rude employee I would like my milkshake sometime today. It is really good other than the attitude.

Here's a quick one: Super buttery bread buns! YAY! I LOVE THE BUNS!!! Juicy, flavorful burger. Get a thick patty! It's worth the extra dollars! Gotta love the cheese sauce. OMG! my fries literally had fun swimming in the cheese sauce! Burgers taste even better when paired up with milkshake! Both "Cookie & Cream" and "Very Strawberry" are yummy! IN a nutshell, i love FUDDRUCKERS!!

  • Jeremiah M.

I've never had a bad burger there. J live how you can add all your own toppings including nacho cheese. The potato wedge fries are seasoned perfectly. The GM is almost always out front at the register or talking to customers. Makes you feel like they are trying to provide a great restaurant experience. Their menu is also really easy to understand.

Bring back the iceberg lettuce! That romaine lettuce don't impress my burger much.

I had taken a long hiatus from Fuddrucker's after the location on Chimney Rock closed. I went in today after I got a coupon for $6 from a friend. With the coupon, I got a burger, fries and drink for $6... I added cheese so it was like a dollar extra. They are widening the feeder right in front of the restaurant so, it was a little tricky to get to the restaurant. I called to make a pre-order for pickup and it was ready by the time I got there. It was still warm and grabbed the stuff and go. The restaurant was tidy and the service level was very good. I am a fan of this location for the proximity to my job and how good the burger was!

I definitely like this Fuddruckers more than the one on 290. The wedge cut fries here are amazing!! The service is quick. The counters with the condiments are always clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I eat the Mushroom Turkey burger and it's definitely one of the best items on the menu. My husband loves the Buffalo Burger and loves it so much he gets two!

In the past two months I have gone to the SW location here in Houston twice. Each time the food is over greased. Years ago, Fuddruckers made good food, but this year (I guess new owner or manager), the food isn't worth eating.

Best way to cure a hangover. Fanta, fries and Fuddruckers ... in no particular order. The salad bar, quite honestly, scares the Jebus outta me. No telling how long that lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, etc., has been sitting there for - nor how many sneezes or coughs or dirty hands have touched the tongs. But as my mama always said: Dirt don't hurt. I think what wowed us at F-ruckers this weekend was that space ship soda fountain. I didn't know how to use it. Where do I begin? What button do I press? Where does the ice come from - and the soda? ...Luckily, a dame saw this damsel in distress and helped me out. Thanks, brah. Now back to the condiments ...They have a "cheese dip" and ranch dispenser. Other places make you pay for that. Pour that shiz all over your burger, and call it a day. 'Night.

I was looking forward to a burger here. Ordered 2/3 medium. Burger was well done with crispy outside. Onion rings were horrible. Ordered a chocolate shake that I had to ask for twice. When it was made there was an over abundance of chocolate syrup everywhere. I won't be back to eat her. Should have gone to my old stand by when in Texas, Whataburger.

I'm not much of a burger eater but when I do eat burgers, I prefer Fuddruckers'. I like that I can order the kid-sized burger with no judgement (and it comes with fries, a drink, one free dessert when you leave). Great deal huh?! The futuristic drink machines (imagine any soda or juice you can think of and mixing 'em) is a really big plus for Fudd's! I think I mainly go there for the melted cheese I get to add to the seasoned fries and the burger itself and the desserts (they have AMAZING rice crispy treats). But my most recent visit to this location had really slow service. Our receipt said we ordered at 6:39 pm but by 7:05 pm we still hadn't gotten our food and we ordered the 2 easiest burgers they had! I went up there and told them and they were just sitting there. They threw on the fries and that's it. That definitely wasn't cool.

We came here after a bowl game at Reliant Stadium and it hit the spot. Their bread and burgers are always a great taste, and the fact that you pick your toppings means you cannot go wrong with your meal! The one minor complaint I do have about this place is that they do not have jalapeno cheddar sauce even though they have the kettle labeled as such.

I seem to be on a roll of quoting Idiocracy lately but every time you think of the film you can't help but laugh at what the idiotic English language turns the name of this place into over just a few generations. And that is why we love it so much - the name is almost dirty in the back of our minds, and Idiocracy just confirmed how *almost* dirty it is hehe. Now on to the food. Nearly all Fuddruckers are created equally, some just a little more than others. The burger and the bun are above average I find here. The soda machine is quite a bit below average and that makes me a sad sad panda. The vegetable quality and onions and such are all fine. This is the second best Fuddruckers in Houston - I have not been to them all yet, but I would definitely come back here.

It has been years since I've been to Fuddruckers, but I am glad I did!! My boyfriend loves burgers and we decided to stop for dinner one night. The service was fantastic. The food was great. I am not much of a burger fanatic but loved my meal. I had the turkey mushroom burger with sweet potato fries. I like that I can add some cheese to the burger or fries. They also have some seasoning available. We will definitely be back!

  • Chris C.

What the Fudd?!? I used to come here all the time, reveling in the fact that I could one day consume their 1 lbs monster burger. But I would always chicken out and get their 1/3 or 2/3 lbs. Now, I rarely come here unless it's with co-workers, as their patties are small and not very juicy. The one saving grace is that dang jalapeno cheese. I smother that onto everything! It covers up what would be a normal bland burger. The wedge cut fries are not too bad, however. And the prices are not too cheap either, save for the combos where you can bust out with a cookie at the end. Lastly, beware of puling together tables. There may still be that old lady that gets PO'd when that happens. Sit at the back.

Decent burger from this little decent burger place. Have always enjoyed eating at Fuddruckers and this time was good just like the others. Give this 3/5 stars just because the food was good but nothign that popped and made it excellent.

Cheese sauce, cheese sauce, CHEESE SAUCE! I apologize to everyone who has ever gone with me and to those in the future who will ever go with me to Fuddruckers. I promise you I am paying attention to our conversation, I'm just having a temporary love affair with the cheese sauce. I could probably never get tired of this place. It used to be tradition to come here after every school year ended and then it stopped when we all eventually left for college and what not. Still, I frequent this place from time to time and I pretty much the cheese sauce with anything sans the desserts but I'd probably eat it with that also just because. I don't even know what it is about their cheese sauce that I love so much. I normally get their 1/3 three cheese burger with their potato wedge cut fries with a blob of their cheese sauce. If by now you haven't figured - I love cheese. But besides that I love their burgers from here as well. Definitely in my top 10 favorite burgers that I've ever had in my life. I also like their desserts. I remember we'd always get their brownie dessert topped with a mound of ice cream. I think I've tried re-creating that in my own time a few times but it was never the same as theirs. Their milkshakes are also really good, but I guess it's kind of hard to mess up a milkshake? From time to time I'll order something from the kid's menu, which also means FREE cookie and that's always a good time. But seriously, that cheese sauce. Thank you for existing and being such an integral part of my life.

The best part about a Fuddruckers burger is that they give you the plain burger and let you make it the way you want. The burger buns are always fresh and the patties are cooked to order, so there's not much to be unhappy with. Protip: Combination of hot cheddar cheese, ketchup and honey mustard may change your life.

    (5)
  • Khoi L.

Bacon Cheddar: 4/5 - The patties & buns are good. The toppings are what you make of it because you add that yourself. Onion Rings: 4/5 - The onion rings are crispy & very solid. Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5

I have a weekly morning meeting at this Fuddruckers. I find the restaurant always immaculately clean. The food is delivered exactly the way I ordered it - never have had a discrepancy. The cook and the order taker always have smiles on their faces. I enjoy every visit I make to Fuddruckers.

Good selection of burgers, with good quality beef and chicken. They also offer other meats (ostrich, fish). The buns and fixin's bar are good (has hot cheese, BBQ sauce, and pico de gallo, which is great on burger). Fries and onion rings are good. Shakes are very good and plentiful. This is a mainstay and a regular stop for us.

Its a Fuddruckers, if that's what you want, you wont be at all disappointed. I'd recommend going for the custom burger option. Burger was done correctly, although slightly greasy. Veggies were well stalked and fresh. Mayo was empty, but overall condiments passed scrutiny. As an added bonus they have those new 100-flavor soda dispensers which are fun to play with. I got some peach Fanta and raspberry Sprite!

Im not a fan of hamburgers, so when i do eat one, i'd like a real tasty one.. Fuddruckers is NOT my first choice, the price of these burgers are out of range. I would much rather go to Red RObin or Christians. I think the one thing im a fan of at Fuddruckers are the fries. But the service is really good, theyre always been nice on the occasions that i do come. The place is super clean as are the bathrooms.. Theres not much I can say about this place except I would only come on invite...

One of my co-workers told me this place has the best burgers in the world! Being that I consider myself a burger guru, i HAD to try. I went to Fuddruckers for the first time last week, and it changed my life! :D The food is amazing! The customer service is wonderful. Everyone was nice and friendly. I loveee the drink machine. Awesome concept. I never knew there were so many different flavors. I wanted to stay and try them all. The inside looks like a typical fast food restaurant, but the food is far from fast food quality! Meal for 2 adult + 1 child was around $25 (worth every penny)

Fuddruckers in general is one of my favorite burger places. Today our order came out super fast- we had time to get our drinks and sit down for about 30 seconds before our buzzer went off. Considering Fuddruckers usually takes at least a little while to get the food out I was really surprised but definitely ok with it since I was on a little bit of a time crunch before work. The burger was really good but almost tasted like it was missing a little something. The fries were pretty good too- especially after putting tons of extra seasoning on them. I usually don't add too much salt, pepper, etc. to anything I eat (I like things pretty plain) but here I love the super seasoned fries.

  • Jon S.

Hamburgers, turkey burgers, buffalo burgers, and even an ostrich burger, Fuddruckers has quite the choices. The ordering process is pretty simple. Order the meat you want and how you want it cooked and then wait for them to call your name. Here you can pick out your seat in a much bigger dining area then expected and also slip on your unlimited soda from the fountain machine. Once name is called you are given your naked burger on a bun (unless you added cheese and bacon before hand like myself) and are now sent to the fixen' bar to dress your meal up. From sliced tomatoes, pickles, slice and shredded lettuce, basically the normal items you would be looking for. As for taste, the fries seemed a little lacking while the burger's bun kind of freaked me out. Since I had gotten a meal deal I automatically got a 1/2 burger but would, in the future, ordered a 1/3 burger. Despite the fact that I'm not looking to go back anytime soon I gave it the benefit of the doubt that it isn't a bad place, just not for me.

Went this evening (Sunday, January 13, 2013) at 7:55pm. The location was closed, even though the hours posted (and on the restaurant profile page on their website) say the location is open until 10:00pm. The lights were all off and the parking lot was completely empty.

Fuddruckers hamburgers are not cheap, but they are tasty. I used to visit a lot more when I was younger as it was someplace my parents really enjoyed. They have hamburgers, chicken burgers, hot dogs, etc. But what has lead them back into my life is the addition of veggie friendly patties. Now this is a place that I've rediscovered that my vegetarian husband, and my parents can all get food that they enjoy. The burgers are cooked to order and the salad bar lets you add whatever toppings you would like. The last time I went I had their chicken tenders which were better than I thought they would be. Not too dry, or greasy. The dessert bar is also good for cookies, cookie bars, shakes etc. The rice crispies are good and the Pumpkin Pie Shake is delicious, though probably seasonal. They also have a crazy new fountain drink machine...The Coca-Cola Freestyle machine where you have options for over 100+ drink choices. I'm not that creative and I tend to just go for the vanilla or cherry options, but there are plenty to choose from! coca-colafreestyle.com

I've been a fan of Fuddrucker's since childhood. Their burgers have never let me down. They're thick, juicy, and a pretty decent size too! This Fuddrucker's was no exception!

The nostalgic bliss of high-school experiences at Fuddruckers wore off last night as my family and I dined there. - The wait for our food was just on the side of uncomfortably long; - My dad's onion rings were so drenched in grease that we both agreed that they were gross; - the slices of tomatoes were still frozen; - and it was cold and drafty in a lot of the restaurant. Still a pretty good burger and still a good place to eat with friends and family, but not as good as I remember it being.

This Fuddruckers off of 59 definitely upholds their claim to America's Greatest Hamburgers. They serve delicious hamburgers according to your preference, with generous portions of sides, so they definitely give you your moneys worth. I heard that Lubys has recently acquired Fuddruckers, and I fear that the new concepts ( no more 1 pound and 2/3 pound burgers) that have appeared in other locations will be the demise of a good burger joint we have come to love.

  • MIchelle P.

Sooo- this might be silly, but when I crave a burger, I crave Fuddruckers. Do I love Whattaburger neaaarly more than life itself? Yes, but going to Fuddrucker's isn't just a drive through after a late night or a quick lunch break. You kind of have to go out of your way to go to Fuddrucker's because it isn't on every corner, but a meal there is an experience in itself, and it transports me back to childhood. I always felt so grown up adding my own toppings to the burger. Back then, it wasn't so much about the super juicy patty or about the buttery freshly made bread, so much as the fact that I could add as much lettuce and onions as I could. Their milkshakes are sooooo tasty!!!! The only problem is that they give you so much of it (is that really a problem?)!! So yeah, the food isn't gourmet, but it's above average, and you have the added benefit of adding as many toppings to your burger as you want!

awesome burgers and great prices! Their wedge fries are decent, but I go there for their burgers. A burger, fries & a drink will run about $10.50. Two thumbs up.

I freaking LOVE their buffalo burger. It's soosososo good! Medium rare = extra juicy. And you don't get the guilty heaviness in your body afterwards. $10 for buffalo vs $6-8 for beef...but completely worth it. If you don't wanna dish out that much for a "healthy" burger, there's always a turkey option (wouldn't be a real burger...) for about $6 too.

As much as I try to stay away from Large franchises..... Fuddruckers is a winner and keeps me coming back. lets start with the bun- at least a thousand calories, cause theres no other way they could make it taste so good. i kid, but it all starts and ends with the bun. enless toppings-- u want to use a fifth of an onion on your burger and some pico, goooo for it. i like that they give you lettuce either chopped up or in pieces. saaay cheeese. yeah so why even bother ordering anything with cheese on it, when there's FREE cheese you can get. Yes its through a pump, but its pretty darn good (especially the jalapeno). just sprinkle a little of their magic dust on it and you are good to go. oh wait, the burger? yeah... i forgot about that. Of course their burger is good. not the best marinade ever, but when you put together everything that i mentioned above, you have yourself a consistent winner thats hard to beat for the value. I highly recommend this place, however cliche it may be. definitely a solid burger. 4 stars- Rich

I haven't had this place in a LONG time.... Just walking in the door - the smell is amazing! my mouth waters and I crave the moist, warm, pink taste of something so sweet. I ordered a number 2. It's a big burger, with fries, and I piled it up with jalapeneos, onions, and tomatoes...... DELICIOUS!!!

For my money, Fuddruckers has the best chain hamburger around. You know you've been there, you know it's 4 stars, why are you reading this review? A couple things of note: The entrance layout at this location is awkward. I wasn't sure where to order. The have neither vanilla or cherry coke on tap, and having these drinks is one of those little details I typically love about Fuddcruckers.

Hadn't been to a Fuddruckers since high school. The Southwest burger was great, along with the sweet potato fries. Very neat drink dispenser with syrup add-ins, too.

Like most others have said, it's a middle of the road burger place. But, it's close to my work and nobody really dislikes the place, so we go for lunch from time to time. I don't get the "regular" burgers anymore. I go for the lesser fat alternatives like buffalo, ostrich, salmon, etc. Buffalo burgers are good, when it's done right. Fudd's isn't perfect on that front, but it is good and better than others, again middle of the road. The best buff burgers I've ever had are in Colorado where the buffalo still roam free. The ostrich burgers are very good. For those that have the urge to try one, I'd recommend it. It's hard to find a place that serves ostrich, so if you do, let me know. Ostrich is lean like buffalo, but still has more of the red meat flavor with a hint of bird/game. I had a salmon burger from Fudd's for the first time today. I have to say, it was pretty good. I'd get one again. They season it well and it was a decent size. Another alternative I get is the sweet potato fries. In my mind they are healthier than the normal fries. No matter what type of burger you get, you always get to load up on the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, etc. Sometimes my friends accuse me of making a salad with my burger. I just think I'm taking full advantage of the condiment bar and making "the world's best burger," like their slogan says.

If there ever were a place that deserves 2.5 out of 5 stars, this would be it. Fuddruckers takes the middle road on service, value, quality, and ambiance. There is nothing outstanding about this location of this national chain. There is nothing terrible either. That's the problem, for every pro, there's a con, and for every yay, there's a neigh (nay). Fuddruckers is not expensive, but it can be. It depends on what you order. You can leave there under 10 bucks, or over 20 depending on what you order. They have a full 1 pound (artery clogging, bowel stiffening) burger if you so choose. So, it takes the middle road on value. The vegetable selection is extensive. Honestly, I don't need that many choices for 1 burger lol. You can literally never eat the same burger twice if you went everyday for a year. All of it looks fresh and appealing also. The problem is, the burgers themselves are extremely greasy. It's as if they fry them, then let them sit in their own grease for a bit, then serve them. So, somehow they manage to take the middle road on quality as well. Fuddruckers is decorated ok.. I mean it's typical. There's nothing here that's dirty or out of place, but nothing that you'll remember in your head tomorrow either. Same with the service. The attendant at the cash register was nice, but that's about it. Overall, I'd skip it. I mean I take my burgers seriously so there's no need for me to drive out there and get a burger when much better places exist.

My favorite burger chain. The buns have a nice buttery texture that doesn't get all mushy halfway through the meal and the meat tastes really fresh. I'm a big fan of their new Peppercorn burger. Cook it at most to a medium doneness. If i'm feeling a little healthier, I'll make myself a nice little salad from the toppings bar. They have this new drink dispenser, which I don't think is very efficient, but it is really fun to use. It has to have at least 50 different types of drinks, but a lot of people take too much time trying to figure out how to dispense the drinks.

WTF!?! Elk burger, buffalo burger and turkey burger are only available in 1/2lb sizes!! So, the healthy choices aren't all that healthy because you have to eat more. That blows. Got the standard 1/3lb; cooked medium. Very juicy! Sweet potato fries also delectible! Can't get enough of that honey-mustard and Heinz ketchup.

They had some reallllly stupid acronym on a poster in their kitchen to remind workers of how to work as a team. It was the stupidest thing I've ever seen in my life! If anyone has a chance to see it, please message it to me.

OMG! Outrageous Prices! $10+ for a burger, drink and fries. You'd do a lot better at What-a-burger(good burger). FRIES are moochie, tastes like Ore-Ida frozen fries definitely not from fresh potatoes like Pappa's BBQ(best fries). Texas Roadhouse has BEST burger...better food and atmosphere for less money. BUT, if you love "bottomless" better fries and a similar burger for about the same price but with table service, it's Red Robin.

This place used to be ok, but my visit today left more to be desired. To start off with I knew the price was going to belittle high but the prices have increased since the last time I was in. Ten dollars is a lot for a burger and fries anywhere you go. The burger was ok but had no flavor and the fries were undercooked. I will be going to Princes for a better meal and deal next time.

this is a good place. The time we have been there the people are friendly and nice. The manager is very nice and attentive. the concept of getting 1/3lb or 1/2lb meat and you put all the condiments you want. and go ahead dressing your burger however you want is great because you make your burger the way you wanted. I love their fries. however not so much their chicken burger. Every time I ordered it comes out overcooked, simply too dry. I always just ended up eating their fries. I don't think they are good with chicken. nonetheless is a great place to hang out with friends and family.

not terrible--but not very good. there's really not much more to say. i ended up here for a friend's birthday get-together, and i'm still not sure why it was chosen as the desination of choice for someone's special day...but to each is own, i suppose! anyway, they're a huge chain, so you know what to expect. the food will fill you up if you happen to be in the neighborhood and all the stellar restaurants are super-busy, but i wouldn't choose it if there's another, more unique option nearby.

I think everyone has tried the place at least once in their lifetime. I don't need anything other then a plain burger, stuff it with a whole lotta veggies and top it all off with the melted Jalapeno cheese. Mmmm love that cheese! Also I like the potato wedges and the rice krispy treats... them rice krispies, when fresh, are so darn good!!!

Great burgers but they need to get back the portable buzzers that let you know when your order is ready. The PA system is so loud that you cannot even carry on a conversation. I will not be back.

Yep, I am going to get chastised for this one. I am a huge burger fan and consider myself to be a burger connoisseur. I've been to quite alot of burger joints here in Houston and for some reason, I keep coming back to Fuddruckers. I absolutely love the way they cook their meat and their buns. The buffalo there has got to be the best, and to make up for the lean meat, they give you more of it! It's huge! It's okay though, cause I got a gullet that can handle it's size. Their toppings selection aint the great, but its fresh and their pickles are actually cripsy and light in color (my favorite). Their sweet potatoe fries go great with spicy mustard and rank as one of my favorite fried foods. For dessert, get a cookie sandwich. They use your choice of homemade cookies to sandwich a large scoop of chocolate or vanilla ice cream. It's messy but oh so divine. You can opt for their rice krispy treat. The boy scouts could'nt make it better. Most of my friends and family dont think its the best but I think that has to do with peoples love for smaller less commercial places. No body will admit it's good but yet they always have a line during dinner time and they dont seem to be going out of business any time soon (at least I hope so).

in the big scheme of things, you have to consider fuddruckers in the context in which it exists--a national, chain burger place that is happy to rest a half-step above whataburger, but a full step below most neighborhood joints (e.g., bellaire broiler burger, miller's cafe). in essence, fuddruckers gives you a bun, a slab of meat (1/3 lb or 1/2 lb), and tells you to go on your way in dressing your burger however you want. i actually think that's a good thing--if i want to layer tomatoes three inches thick, then by god, fuddruckers lets me do that. personally, i think they're a little thin on toppings--just lettuce, tomatoes, jalepenos, onions, and some kind of salsa looking thing. it'd be nice if they had more options like avocados or mushrooms. the main problem with fuddruckers burgers, though, is that they are incredibly greasy, even by greasy spoons standards. of course, i understand that fat is what makes burgers so good, but after finishing a 1/3 lb burger, i literally felt sick from all the grease--i cant imagine what it's like to eat their 1/2 lb burgers. they also dont offer "real" burgers with patties under 1/3 lb; the closest thing they have are what they call "sliders"--essentially mini-burgers. but despite its shortcomings, there are few restaurants in houston where you can grab a decent burger, side of fries, and a beer for under $10 ($8.65, actually). that's actually an amazing bargain considering a beer alone is usually $3-4.
