a friend brought some rolls to a party a few weeks ago and they were good. So I thought I'd try them out for lunch .... WRONG! It took 10 minutes to seat us because the tables were dirty ... Empty but dirty. That's fine... Then it took forever to get a drink order in .... And another 10 minutes to order our food. 30 minutes of my lunch break just to order. Not a great start. I sent an email explaining that I'd be late returning from lunch. This just wasn't going well... The food finally came out. But my order was wrong. The server argued with me. "Excuse me, I ordered Garlic Pork." "Yea yea. This is your order." "No - garlic pork has pork and garlic in it. This doesn't have either!" "No no no - that's how we cook it. This is your order!" Tasted like crap! It was twice cooked pork .... Which I like but not from here! Somehow the chef got confused and thought it meant two pieces of pork and lots of veggies that were WAY OVER COOKED. MUSH! I ate the fried rice ... I wanted steamed. My son got the Mongolia Beef - YUCK! Slimy beef that had way too much corn starch and onions. Mostly it was a plate of onions which was good because the meat was absolutely terrible! We dared each other to try the food. "I double dog dare you to take a big bite!" "Ah come on - I'll lick the floor. Just don't make me eat this crap!" We also ordered a tuna roll ... At was average. How bad can it be? The tuna was the HEB yellowfin with a white rice and a wrap. 30 minutes later my son and I are fighting over the bathroom. Hope we have enough TP!!! Worst experience I've had in a long time. Definitely won't go back.... Unless I need to take a sick day from work or I'm massively constipated.

Love the food & the service. Have an issue with the wait staff not receiving tips that they work for. Read a review, on another site, that said, "When we asked about how the tips were done, split amount staff, everyone keeps their own etc, she hesitantly but more discreetly replied 'I'm not supposed to say this but ALL TIPS GO TO THE HOUSE, they don't receive ANY!!". We showed our waiter that review and he looked around, to be sure the manager wasn't in hearing/seeing range and he discreetly nodded his head and said a quick, "Yes, that's correct". We were able to discreetly slip our staff a cash tip. So, if you go here, please don't leave a tip on your card or cash on the table, your wait person won't receive it. I will admit we did not get a chance to ask if they get paid minimum wage or above because of not getting the tips. Maybe we'll find out one day.

Service is terrible. There's no other sushi place in Georgetown though so ultimately there's no competition. They forgot to put my order in, so between waiting for food, water refills etc expect this to be an hour and a half ordeal. If there was another sushi place in Georgetown they would definitely have my business.

The first time I went here was a couple years ago. The fried rice was just soy sauce soaked and it was terrible. I decided to try it again yesterday because I was desperate for sushi. Bad decision. Definitely the worst sushi I've ever tasted, and I have had sushi almost every where in the Austin area. Someone please open a good sushi place in Georgetown. If you're looking for good sushi, make the extra drive to Round Rock/Cedar Park..... Or even down the road to HEB has much better sushi.

Fantastic food and service! Fairly priced. The Sushi Chef is very friendly and always a delight to visit with. A hidden gem in Georgetown!!

Today I have to give Wasabi 3 stars because I feel their overall quality and service is less than when they first opened. Apparently our server was training another server today. They spent a lot of time at the register, while we sat waiting for more water. The soy sauce used in cooking was more than usual so it was a bit much for me. I am actually still thirsty! We ordered crab puff appetizers. They came a few minutes after she brought our lunch. I am attaching a picture of my plate. The carrots are scarce and the puffs too greasy as you can see. Used to be my favorite lunch spot.

Worst waiter ever. Rude from the get go and husband ask please let's start over because I don't want to get upset. He responded with that's fine go ahead I can take because I have other tables to wait on. And preceded to raise his voice because we were suppose to be ready to order. Husband ask for manager and he claimed to be the owner. Shocked to hear an owner would raise his voice and be so rude. We understand you get busy and overwhelmed but that attitude was way out of line.

Love the sesame chicken and curry chicken. Good service and decent prices. As usual, they serve a large portion of any entree! Would definitely recommend and will be back!!!

I really love the food at Wasabi. That has never been disappointing no matter what I decide on. I know the owner works his a** off. The service is hit or miss. There was a time when it was awful, but lately it has improved a lot. The prices are very reasonable. It's a good local restaurant that I will continue to support.

My whole family loves eating here. Great food and very clean. The owner is a good guy and the sushi platters are beautiful. Yuuuuuuuuuuum!

    (5)
  • Mila M.

Mushy sushi rice. Poor service. The plates were slammed down in front of us. The rice was mushy in our sushi, something the chef must have known. A grain of rice mashed easily to paste with the slightest pressure as we showed the staff. There response was halfhearted. Really sorry I took my husband there on his birthday. Worst sushi I've ever had.

  • Clv V.

The quality of the seafood is really poor. They seeve slimy and fishi smelling fish.

  • Cindy H.

Whenever I go to Georgetown this is my favorite place to eat. Good food, quiet atmosphere, and friendly staff. Ask for spicy green beans and beef. It's the best.

  • Jen M.

Might be my favorite Asian cuisine in the whole Austin area. Sushi is great!!! The "out of control" roll is amazing! Main entrees, soups, and salads are all good. Fresh ingredients with lots of good flavor. Service can be a little slow and they've made some mistakes with my orders, but the entire staff is super nice, and the awesome food totally makes up for it!!!

As a long-term customer there I have to say: "Guys up your game !". Had calamari appetizer and Teriaki steak dinner and a Maki combination for my guest just last night. The calamari was tough and fishy tasting and seemed like they were using some non-traditional parts of the fish for this dish. The steak was fit only for, perhaps, making shoes: very tough and hard to chew with no flavor. I was very upset that I got such poor quality food for the price I paid. I've been going to Wasabi for years. As a sushi place in G-town they are the only game in town. Their sushi can be moderately good for the price. However if a better place comes into town I have a feeling that I won't be going there very often. I like the owner very much. I think he is genuinely concerned about his customers. With that said I'd like to politely ask him to reexamine the quality of his food. His meat and fish choices for his Chinese and Japanese dishes need to go up a healthy notch in quality. One suggestion: Cold soba noodles and Udon would be a nice change in menu. Making combination dinners with these items would also be nice. Please add LARGE shrimps and scallops when doing stir-fry dishes and put more wontons in your wonton soup ! Wasabi I wish you well and hope that you take my advice. I'd hate to see you close down, then we'd have no game in town for sushi !

  • Nicolas N.

As far as the Chinese food in Georgetown goes, there aren't really any other better options (or other options at all, unless you want food poisoning from Chinese Food.com ). Wasabi offers decent food for its price, and the best choice is to go for some sushi and apps. The price on sushi is decent for what you get, overall, relatively tasty. The bathrooms are a tad bit unkempt, but not filthy by any means. If you know what to order at Wasabi, it makes for a nice casual dining experience.

This is a great new place. The service is always amazing and the sushi is top notch!!

  • Dee C.

We had an AMAZING time here. Our family decided that this is an absolute DO OVER! The service was great, our food amazing, and our chef.... FANTASTIC. The presentation of food was over the top. The chef came out with an orange that he turned into a panda and my kids were thrilled. Can't say enough good about this place.

    (5)
  • Mark F.

Great food and the service is fast and accurate. It's better than Panda Express and has more selections plus sushi.

    (5)
  • Aurora L.

The food is absolutely delicious. Dishes I was not expecting much from, such as the vegetable soup, were surprisingly tasty. The meal was a little more than we were expecting to pay on a night out, but we all felt that we got what we paid for! One of the rare occasions that I ate until couldn't eat anymore!!

    (5)
  • Rosanne F.

Great food! Good service! The sushi is always fresh and presentation is always great!

    (5)
  • Brandi L.

We have eaten here often. I usually get sushi, it's not anything crazy special but it's fresh and good. The kids love the orange chicken.

  • Lee C.

Over priced, not very fresh, and terrible service. If Georgetown had any other options for sushi I am certain this place would be soon out of business. I would pass on this restaurant.

    (1)
  • Christine F.

Food was delicious. The place is much bigger inside than expected. Sushi was spot on and Danny, the owner, is a sweetheart. Extensive menu, so plenty of options. Great lunch experience and we'll be back.

  • Viva C.

Meeeeeh. Not fantastic, but not horrible. I'm still a regular because there isn't much sushi in town. Service was really good though, so that's a plus for them. Decor is nice and the ambience is pretty good. Each time I've come, the restaurant has always been busy. They serve Japanese and Chinese cuisine. I was disappointed that they didn't have Udon noodle soup, but hey, I'm not one to complain - at least there's sushi in town. It's better than no sushi at all. Ok, so let me explain why I rated this place like I did - I feel like all the specialty sushi rolls are the same. Kind of like Mexican food, same repetitive ingredients, just in different combinations. Does that make sense? So whenever I order the sushi, I get overwhelmed since I can't decide what I want when I look at the menu, then I can't remember what I picked because all the rolls are so similar. I started to wonder if I needed a side order of Echinacea for my inability to remember what I was ordering (no...echinacea is not on the menu just in case you were wondering.) I'd recommend improving the sushi menu by varying your rolls and making them more unique. It's just that they all kind of...blend together...it's like tuna, avocado, occasional eel, cream cheese, and spicy tuna, same ingredients but just in different arrangements. That being said, I still come here because the sushi is decent and service is good. Variety in sushi could be better, but this is still good for Georgetown.

    (2)
  • Michael S.

Is it Chinese? Is it Japanese?? Who cares, It's pretty darn good! While I don't remember thinking that my fried rice was lacking a side of raw tuna in the past, I can't help but think it now when eating Chinese anywhere else. While Texas weather may leave you feeling burned, this restaurant will not.

  • Donna W.

I was overall underwhelmed with my trip to Wasabi but it did have some good things. I felt their lunch prices were reasonable and the service was good. They checked back with us frequently and kept our drink glasses full. They had a pretty extensive menu, too, so the variety was nice. Also, my friend asked for some extra bok choy in her lo mein and they accommodated her. I was pretty underwhelmed at the sushi, though. The Philadelphia Roll was pretty flavorless with the neither the fish, cream cheese, nor cucumbers seeming all that fresh. The roll we had with crab in it (Crunchy Roll, maybe???) was very good. LOTS of crab in it, very generous with the tempura flakes on top, and tasty. The WORST was the Spider Roll. It was $7.50 and I swear to god other than the mediocre-sized pieces of soft-shelled crab on the ends, there was no crab of note in the whole rest of the roll. I would have SWORN I was eating a veggie roll. I did not see or taste ANY crab. Even the ends with the bigger pieces were overwhelmed by the taste of some sort of lettuce. I even brought this up to the waitress and, rather than offering to have them make a new one with appreciable crab in it, she just insisted there was a whole pieces of crab in it. Overall, I would go here and try the Chinese again but I would NOT order sushi here.

This has been my go to place for sushi since moving to Georgetown. The owner is the friendliest guy I've met and always remembers me and my lady. The staff can be hit or miss depending on who's area you get seated in but the sushi is pretty dang good. I'll admit, we always order the sushi combo plate for two and by now the wizard of a chef behind the counter just knows to start getting it ready when we walk in. But the selection of various rolls is pretty extensive for such a small place. I'd only advise you to go a little earlier on Friday as it's bound to fill up around dinner time. Though I've never waited more than five minutes for a table.

I don't think I've had a waitress be so rude to me before. I called in to see if they were still delivering [It was about 8:30PM]... At first I asked if they were still serving the bento Boxes, and they said that they weren't because their sushi chef left already? Their menu says that they are open from 11-10 on Monday-Thursday. So then I ask if they're still delivering... And she tells me that they don't even have a delivery guy hired... Now, I know I have gotten food delivered from Wasabi before, so this was a flat out lie. She even went as far as to say they have NEVER delivered. I will provide a link below with the menu I got from them a month or so ago. So, then I asked to speak with her manager, and she puts the phone down... And comes back and I swear, it's the same person! I KNOW For a fact that the manager is a man! Not only that, she was extremely rude! She didn't say sorry, or anything. The only reason I gave them two starts instead of one is because of their food. It's good, but over priced if you go to eat there for dinner. Menu: menupix.com/menudirector…

Best place EVER! Their menu is amazing, so much to choose from. The atmosphere is amazing, the owner is extremely sweet and professional. I would recommend this place anytime! I have never been disappointed by their food. Love love love this place :)

    (5)
  • Michael W.

They don't have a website, so you can't order by phone unless you already have a menu....and if you walk in to try to order sushi at lunch, they tell you there is a "25 minute wait".... I tried the sushi once before and wasn't impressed, but I decided to go back and try them once again...should have known better. Please, please, please -- Someone open a good sushi place in Georgetown! The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the hostess / waitress was nice.

Much like good pizza, it seems near impossible to get good Chinese food near Austin. Given that, Wasabi delivers on perfectly acceptable Chinese food, a notch just above Chinese buffet quality. It's perfectly acceptable take-out level food that fills the need we all have for Chinese take out every now and again. The House Beef was flavorful with a fair amount of spice, not bland or mushy, which I was grateful for. The sushi was realistic for what one can reasonably expect to get in Georgetown. It isn't going to be LA quality sushi, but the Scorpion roll was again, perfectly adequate. Service was great with a very attentive and speedy waiter. Overall, I'm happy to have Wasabi in town for quick, affordable, reliable Chinese. They do offer take out but do not deliver.

  • Dani H.

I've been to Wasabi quite a few times. It's two minutes away from where my boyfriend works, and it's the only sushi place in Georgetown if you want something better than grocery store sushi. The problem with Wasabi is that it's SUPER inconsistent. The first time I went, I had the vegetable tempura and it was amazing. A few months later, I had the same dish and it was ice cold on the inside. The same thing has happened with two different noodle dishes and a rice dish - good once, terrible a different time. As for the sushi, I can only speak for their cucumber rolls which were very good but TINY, and more expensive than any other cucumber roll I've had. The service is awful, though. I've had waiters give me the wrong food several times, and they don't seem to know what's on their own menu. I ordered a meal that supposedly came with a salad and sushi roll, and never saw either.

Just disgusting! Food is horrible, the owner was a jerk and kitchen was dirty and I could see the tea urns being stored on the kitchen floor from where I sat. Don't waste your time go to Nancy's Sky Garden for a good lunch and if you want sushi take the time and drive to round rock.

    (1)
  • Linda N.

Disgusting! Barely edible....cheap and low quality food. When they first opened it was pretty good, but has gone way downhill from then. I will never go back.

    (1)
  • Judy R.

Food is horrible and specials are over priced. Roaches in the kitchen. Waitstaff do not have Food Handler License or TABC License to be able to serve customers. Owner is rude to waitstaff and customers. Orders are normally wrong all the time. Turn over very high on waitstaff - probably because Owner cusses at them and keeps their tips.

  • Brittany D.

It's nice to have a good sushi restaurant in Georgetown. They are open late during the weekend, later than most "date" restaurants in the area, and have reasonably-priced sushi/combination dinners. The waitstaff is hardworking, but inefficient. I had 3 different waiters ask my drink order the last time I was there, and halfway through the meal, our waiter left without any explanation. From there, we had a different person come to the table each time we needed something, including the check.

    (3)
  • Se G.

Don't even think of ordering the Sushi! It is not edible. Ok American Chinese (warm up all day) but don't go out of your way to try anything here.

  • Noe P.

Great sushi lunch menu. . Excellent wait staff as well. I'm a big critic when it comes to sushi so I'd like to say that Wasabi makes great sushi. Nice size pieces, and very fresh. I always leave satisfied and full. Would recommend to others. Haven't tried the Chinese or Japanese food. But if it's anything like the sushi then I'm sure it's a winner.

  • Karen S.

Wasabi is definitely my new favorite spot! The waitstaff is awesome - always friendly and attentive. The sushi is phenomenal - as the sushi master is a pretty cool guy himself :) & The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed. Music is justttt right. Pricing is good too, especially for lunch! Love this place and will continue eating here every week!

In fairness this is for sushi and service only. I can't speak to the hot dishes. Also, I am used to very fresh, very good quality sushi. See Purple Sushi in Greenville, SC for what I am used to eating. I walked in to be seated and one waitress was talking to patron, looked at me and went right back to talking. Another waitress quickly came from the back to seat me. Wasabi was recommended to be by someone and so I went in for dinner. I had the jalapeño yellowtail, ama ebi, and yellowtail/scallion roll. Their menu indicates the jalapeño yellowtail is served with an aioli type sauce- thankfully it was incorrect and they used ponzu. The problem was the jalapeno was pickled jalapeno. The flavors were very much at odds with one another and didn't sit well with the yellowtail. The roll was fine - but way too much rice that was squeezed way to hard. The roll was coming apart on the plate and it was like eating a rice cake with a hint of fish. The ama ebi (sweet shrimp) should be avoided at all cost. The head was not fully cooked and served with eel sauce (!) and didn't appear to be really fried. The meat was also off and didn't taste quite right.

Excellent service. Food is always out quickly. Sushi is excellent. Beautiful & tasty. HUGE entree portions. I ordered the Pad Thai w/ chicken which I surprisingly enjoyed. I usually order sushi, but I wanted to try something new. I asked for medium heat and it was SPICY! Lucky for me I can take the heat. Did I mention HUGE portions? I could have easily fed 2 kids and a hungry mother with 1 entree. Just saying. I barely put a dent in it. My husband always orders the General Tso chicken. It comes with rice and steamed broccoli. I recommend you share an entree if you're not too hungry. The chicken was crispy with the perfect balance of sweet and spicy glaze. He loves it. The ambience is mellow and a little quiet. Friendly staff. We'll definitely be returning.

Even though I don't like the fact that they don't deliver I do really like their food and we continue to eat there...sushi is great always cold when I get it and we love the pork fried rice

  • Carol H.

This is some of the best Chinese food I have had. They also serve sushi and Japanese fare,(teriaki and tempura) which is also very good. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient, and food comes out of the kitchen quickly. My orange chicken was fresh and wonderfully crispy, with a nice amount of asparagus. Husband had sushi, also very good, and kung pao chicken. It's a little noisy because of all the hard srufaces (and they play music a little too loud for my taste. ) If you want fried rice for dinner, there's an upcharge of $!.50. BUT lunch comes with a large amount of fried rice (no mention of an upcharge if you prefer white!) I will definitely be back.

For Georgetown, this place is great! It's right next to a car wash, so you can get your car cleaned and detailed while you lunch. Schweet! They have a long menu with both Japanese and Chinese selections. I got a shrimp tempura bento box for $8.99! It was big and filling. The miso soup was tasty, even if it had too much nori in it. The waitstaff is courteous and, while new, attentive to our needs. My only complaint was the background music. It was annoying pop.

I should have known something was up when we walked into a dark restaurant that was practically empty. Seriously, it was so dimly lit we had to wait a minute or two for eyes to adjust before walking into the dining room. There was only one other table occupied at 1:30pm. The restaurant appeared clean and not overly decorated like most asian food restaurants seem to be. Our server seemed to rush us throughout our meal, from seating, to ordering drinks, meal, and settling the check. We only got refills on our drink once, but no ice. So by the end of our lunch we were drinking warm tea without any ice.... Once we split the tab amongst our group, the waiter hovered over our table until we all paid up, then disappeared long enough for me to wonder if I was going to get my change back or not. When he brought back our change, we left our tips in the black folder which he quickly scooped up and counted in front of us. Not sure if my companions noticed this or not, but I sure did. He quickly left, and recounted them at the register. We soon after finished our meal and left, but no greeting as we left. Not sure what was going on.... even though the food was mediocre, and the service rushy, we each tipped at least 20% or more on each of our tabs. We never asked for extra anything, nor did we make any changes or special requests with our lunches. About the food.... it was Ok. The rice is really good, and so was the egg roll. but the sauce on the general tso chicken was a bit strong, and over powering. It was great as a dipping sauce for the egg rolls, but a bit too much for the chicken. Which by the way was a bit over cooked and chewy. It had a decent flavor, and tasted fresh, but as I said was most of it was over cooked, My companions were not overly impressed with their meals, but did not really say anything about it. They did mention that next time we go out for Chinese, that we try something else. I concur. We were still hungry when we left, so we stopped and got some ice cream cones on the way home.

Was great the first time we went here. A little overpriced but worth it for amazing service and awesome chef. Also the portions were a little on the small size but it was lunch. Went tonight to what seemed like a completely different place. Rude staff that completely ignored everyone. At times they seemed to be wandering aimlessly. We saw our waitress once, to get our order. We had to ask twice for silverware for our kids. Food was cold but never saw our server to send back, but lots of people were sending stuff back. Had to keep stopping people to get our order taken, drinks refilled, and to even get my food. They brought out food for wife and kids but never for me. Got it about 10 minutes after they did. Never brought us our ticket, I asked three servers to get it. When I finally got it, they had put a drink on there that we never ordered. I just have no idea what happened. Everyone was leaving ticked off, I can't imagine what tonight will end up costing them in lost customers.

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! The saff if extremely friendly, and helpful from the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave! The food is top-notch, so happy I don't have to go into Austin for sushi now. And they have everything for the sushi lover or if you want Chinese (orange chicken, miso soup, etc) they have that too! Overall friendly staff, delicious food. It's a win everytime

I was very excited to see this restaurant open. The food was very good, and I see no reason to pass it up to go into Round Rock. The prices are comparable to other sushi restaurants and there are some interesting rolls on the menu to provide variety. Upon entering, the first thing you notice is that the place is much bigger than it appears from the outside. Plenty of seats and a nice ambience. What impressed me most was the service. The place is obviously well managed, as in the first week, the waitstaff was exceptional. The food came quickly, and despite haaving a new staff and a busy night, my water glass was never empty. Me and my family will be back.

food was alright, nothing special. the menu is crazy long, several pages... some chinese food, some sushi, some of this, some of that.. because its the only sushi place anywhere in the area, i will be a returning customer.

  • Alan N.

Is this a world-class sushi bar? No. Is it as good or better than anything within a 20-minute drive? Absolutely! The quality, freshness, and presentation of the sushi at Wasabi is very good. The wait staff is inexperienced but attentive and friendly. Noise level depends entirely on how full the dining room is--they could stand to add some upholstered wall hangings to dampen and diffuse ambient sound a little, but even with a packed dining room my wife and I could hear each other across the table without raising our voices. We'll definitely be back, probably often, and look forward to trying some of the other dishes besides sushi.

  • Carlos C.

Went to lunch, it was ok but not great. Our waitress on the other hand was very nice. A few things about the food was that they brought me a salad, it had this dressing that looked like oatmeal and tasted bad. Another thing was that is a pet peeve of mine is when you ask for ice tea and no ice.

    (3)
  • Erin G.

I am very impressed with the quality of the food and service. The waitstaff is still inexperienced, but they make up for it in friendly, attentive, and timely service. If you have questions, they find the answers very quickly for you. I have tried various sushi rolls as well as some other noodle dishes and have not been disappointed yet. Leaving this review has left me hungry, and I will be calling in an order for take out! Yum!

Great addition to Georgetown! The place is clean, staff is friendly, food is delicious, and prices are reasonable. We visited Wasabi for lunch on a Saturday and were surprised that the lunch menu was OK to order off of on a weekend. My wife and I had crab puffs, which may have been the best we've had. We both had the egg drop soup, which is very solid. She had Sesame Shrimp and I had Orange Chicken, a good mix of sweet and savory respectively. The rice and egg rolls were also exceptional. Overall, no complaints, great deal for the money, too. Next time, I'll try the sushi, which I was a little hesitant about, but then regretted not ordering any when I saw the table next to ours that did.

    (5)
  • Jessica L.

Damn!! Georgetown is in serious need of some good sushi.... When this place opened, the sushi tasted really great...They quality of the sushi has been going downhill since then. The sushi chef they first had used to work at Uchi..Now they go through different sushi chefs like a baby going through change of diapers...The sushi tasted like crap and I hate driving 20 minutes to Round Rock to fulfill my sushi cravings....And the loud music blasting in the restaurant is so annoying, can't they turn it down a notch....

    (1)
  • I l.

Please work on your sushi. First the rice. The rice needs to be good. What kind of vinegar are you using? It's gross. It tastes strange. The sushi sometimes is good and sometimes is ick. I feel like I have to instruct the sushi chef when I'm there to cut the fish correctly and buy fresher fish. Watch the Jiro documentary on Netflicks on sushi tradition. I sure don't expect Georgetown to be as good as Jiro but learn something perhaps from that film? The other food - Saigon noodles with vegetables. Those are decent. A bit oily but good. I'll have to try other things. The girls that work there are precious. Nice gals. :)

This is the second time in 3 visits when our take out order was incorrect. Should have learned by now to check before I leave with the bag. We ordered fried rice in lieu of the white rice for each of our 2 entrees at an additional cost of $1.50 each. We were charged the additional $3.00; however, had white rice. Called to let the restaurant know of the discrepancy and they said bring it back for the correct rice. thanks, but no thanks as I live 5 miles away and in the background I could hear someone insisting that they placed fried rice in the bag. So after having to ask to speak with the person in charge it seems that they will make it correct next time I go in, so says Amber. they seem to not believe me and I said I would send them a picture of what I have, but of course, no email address to send to them! I know people complain all the time for no reason and it makes it hard for those of us who truly did not receive what we paid for!

One of the best local Asian restaurants I have found at a decent price in Texas. Good Asian food is really hard to came by, unless you willing to travel over seas or to California. It is not at all like buffet style Chinese food. If you have a special request, the chef will make it for you, in my experience anyway. My husband ha traveled the world in the U.S. Navy and tried many different Asian dishes. He agrees with me that Wasabi is as close as your going to get to a great Asian meal in this area. Give it a try.

Love having good Japanese food at reasonable prices in Georgetown. Also serve good Chinese food. Friends with different tastes can enjoy a meal together. Nice, hard working staff.

Great place. We had a spicy girl, volcano roll, and two wonton soups. Everything was fantastic. We weren't offered a wine list and didn't see alcohol on menu so I don't think they have it. But we will go back for best sushi I've had so far in town!

Once again, Jaime, et al did not disappoint. Not only did she remember me as a past customer, she remembered my friend who wasn't even with us this time. The food again was awesome, fast fresh and extremely good. This has quickly become my favorite Asian restaurant in Gtown. Yuppers!

We could not wait for Wasabi to open, we have tried it twice in one week and LOVE it!!! The service was great both times and the food was delicious! The lunch special is a great deal, with large portions! One more reason to stay in Georgetown!

We had a great time here last week, young inexperienced servers actually made for wonderfully attentive service, we had the sushi chef prepare whatever he wanted for our dinner and all of the rolls and sashimi were fresh and delicious. I relished in the tastiness of the ahi tuna tataki-- was so sad when I finished it and almost ordered another! Who knew we could have such a great little spot next to Sonic in Georgetown? We will be back soon, and I hope that our local community supports this new business.

We went to Wasabi about 4 or 5 times. The food was always great. Big portions for a good price. We would have been there more often if it wasn't for the service. Servers are not very knowledgeable and inexperienced. Hope they'll work on that.

I've eaten at Wasabi twice and it's been soooooo good each time. I'm very impressed. I highly recommend it. Oh, and the prices are great!

The worst Kung Pao chicken I have ever had. More like soup with an abundance of zucchini and other vegetables and a limited amount of chicken. I will never go back.

This place has some growing up to do, too. The food coming out of the kitchen & off the sushi bar was great, but the front of the house needs work. The wait staff was way too eager & way to inexperienced . . . she made us uncomfortable. We were seated way in back with a view of the service area & the extra chairs & kiddie boosters . . . the kind of stuff that needs to be hidden if you want your restaurant to have even a little class. Will probably wait another month or two to try it again to see if they've gotten their act together yet . . . though, the friends we were with the first time said "never again".

Recently moved to Gtown and have been to this place four times already. Food and service have been consistently great. Prices are very decent, lots of options. We've tried the fried rice, Hunan Chicken, Sesame Chicken; all great. They have a nice variety of imported beers at good prices. I'd definitely recommend this place! I will not need to drive to Austin for great Asian food anymore!!

It's decent sushi and you can't expect much more than this in Georgetown. Could have been a four star review if you got more food for the money.

Amazing food! Onion soup is delicious! Would definitely return and recommend to all my friends and family. The place isn't too bright and does have do have solar screens now! Beautiful atmosphere. I came from out of town to visit and this will be a for sure spot when I return to visit. Definitely wish there were more than 5 stars to give.

We just found this newly opened restaurant and the food was great. The servers were very friendly. I had a shrimp tempura bento box for lunch. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was very crispy, great flavor and not too greasy. I ordered beef w/bamboo shoots and mushroom to go. The gravy has lots of flavor, the vegetables are crisp and the meat is tender. It also had asparagus in it. My husband loved the fried rice with shrimp and scallops. We'll definitely be going back and/or ordering take out.

If only we could get past the horrible service, we would give this restaurant more stars. The sushi is ok. The cooked food is incredible. The service is atrocious. The hostess, who is the owners girlfriend, said she hires inexperienced high school students who are paid by tips only. We've eaten there 10 times and on the last meal decided there is no hope of enjoying this restaurant; ever, so we've given up on them. We were not quick to judge, but not once did we receive our order correctly. More than 1/2 the times we ordered, we had to open the menu and show the waiter exactly which items we wanted so they could write it down correctly. At least 1/2 the times our order was incorrect. Sometimes, we were ignored until the food was cold before given utensils and plates! Going there feels like torture. The cook is amazing. It is evident that the hostess is over her pretty little head.

we've eaten here several times, and the staff turnover is high, but usually fair to good service. I think they're understaffed, and usually aren't too busy- which is a shame. They have great potential- I've always loved what I've ordered! They aren't high-end, by any means, but the place is mostly clean. Great sushi, fair prices- great deals on the lunch menu, though! Hunan chicken and spicy tuna roll are regular orders from me. If what a prev poster said, about the house getting all the tips, is true... Shameful. That may have something to do with high turnover! Good luck, Wasabi, I hope you stick around!

3.5 stars : Pros: good food. The young man and two young employees that were host / hostess / waitress were very friendly and helpful. The price is good too. I picked up our dinner "to go" so I can't really speak for much about the sit down service or atmosphere because I haven't experienced it yet. Unordered two sushi rolls, and my hubby had chicken/beef lo mein. Both of us were happy with the quality of food. Cons: there do not have a menu available online or in an email /PDF format - so I had to go in and look at a menu before placing my order. It doesn't seem like "too much" trouble to put a menu in PDF format and upload it to help. I might try it myself- just to see if it is possible. #2 the supervisor / owner was "curt" with his staff - which is always inappropriate Glad to know there is a good Chinese/ sushi option in G-Town.

We have eaten at Wasabi three times over the past two months, and all three experiences were terrific. We ordered Chinese food and it was delicious! The portions were huge, enough so that we had a second meal from our first take-home box, and we shared a plate the last two times. The sweet and sour chicken was wonderful, as was the chicken with vegetables (brown sauce on this dish was amazing), as well as the moo goo gai pan. The wait staff was polite, prompt and friendly, and we have enjoyed our meals at Wasabi tremendously. We will definitely choose Wasabi anytime we are craving Chinese food.

Excellent food and great environment! Every time I've eaten here, it is delicious and the sushi is very pretty and fresh. The service has gotten better each time we go and the chef came out to talk with us one night and help us with the menu... They have a lot of choices. :)

Came for the name, stayed for the Honey Chicken! By far the best Honey Chicken I have had in three states. Service was excellent, the only thing that needs work is the rice.

I have dined here a few times since moving here to Georgetown... I was having sushi withdrawals and it seems like this is the only sushi joint in town.. The servers know absolutely zip zero about fish or the rolls.. Wine and beer only. They don't know Jack about wine either... The owner is a young guy who drinks beer at the sushi bar. The same sushi bar I attempted to sit at but couldn't view the guys making the food... It's all wood instead of glass... Whatcha hidin Wasabi? Kitchen is not clean either... Please georgetown, open a decent sushi place so I can get my roll on...

The sushi was good. Every dish was presented beautifully. For great sushi I can come back here. Wasabi is an average tasting sushi bar.
