Great place for Hibachi! My first visit here was with some work people. It was great ambiance wise, food quality, service. Good choices of drinks. Second visit was with friend and was Dinner and nothing changed my mind from first visit. Great place that I can revisit anytime.

This is a great little sushi/hibachi place. I've been here twice for sushi, once for hibachi and both are excellent. The atmosphere is energetic and noisy in a good way. People eating here are always having a good time when I go in, but it's never too crowded to be seated right away, even on the weekends. The sushi is super fresh and amazing, the special rolls are sooo delicious. I haven't had a bad one yet. The hibachi is just as good, though I will say some chefs are more enthusiastic than others. My favorite thing that isn't food at this restaurant is the lavender gimlet. If you stop by here you HAVE to try it!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My bf and I arrived around 10:15 on a Friday night (they close at 11:30). Upon walking in, we were greeted by being told that they would be closing soon. We had just wanted to grab a quick bite of sushi before continuing our evening, so we said we were fine sitting at the bar and would be quick - we had to walk past the hostess and sat ourselves at the bar. Horrible first impression of customer service. Nonetheless, we were determined to have a good time. We ordered two plates of sushi but sadly we never had a chance to experience it - well, thankfully we didn't have the chance to experience it. Because right after we'd ordered and were starting to sip our drinks, I spotted something moving - CRAWLING - across the bar - my bf and I look down in time to watch a COCKROACH CRAWL ACROSS THE BAR COUNTER!!!! Needless to say, we jumped out of our seat and practically ran out of that place. The worst part was that there were a few other couples sitting across the opposite end of the bar eating their food and having a great time - I don't even want to think about what their kitchen looks like if disgusting bugs are crawling across their dining/bar area. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I was very disappointed, because a previous positive experience at their Las Colinas location fueled my spontaneous recommendation that night. Needless to say, we will not be returning - their customer service was sub par anyway. (Also, the lady at the bar came over to ask if we needed anything else, we said no, she starts acting like we are children like "are you suurree? because the kitchen will be closing.." Seriously, we said no. LOL)

My friend and I arrived here at a busy time tonight, but none the less sat at the bar and it was very pleasant. We started off with a couple beers, which were served quickly and were talking about the DJ that was there, which was cool. This Blue Fish is definitely more upscale and a better atmosphere than the one in Allen. We ordered the Rock Manhattan, Rainforest, Ahi Tower, and the Eel roll. All were amazing, especially the Eel which was both of our favorites. Hands down great atmosphere at the bar, but a little bit of slow service at the end and when we were getting our bill. Will definitely come back to this location! Cheers!

After grinding out a hard week of work, school, and fitness I decided to treat myself to some sushi. My buddy and I met up around 7:30 in attempt to find a table. Upon arrival we were told it would be a 45 minute wait. We noticed a couple open bar seats so we decided take a seat. Our bar tenders quickly acknowledged us and took our drink orders. Soon after we decided to order some sushi roles and a fabulous ahi tuna tower. All the roles were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. This particular location had a live DJ spinning dope tracks while we enjoyed our meal. Overall it was a great experience, except for one minor issue. Towards the end our service got a bit slow, that's why I can't give out the 5 stars... If your looking for delicious sushi and awesome music, Blue Fish is the spot to be.

I've got nothing negative to say about Blue Fish. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I've visited all locations and all of them are tip top! The tuna tower is an absolute must. They use fresh chunked tuna. It's not mashed up like other places. The sushi is fresh. I've tried different rolls. All of them are fresh. We also have some sushi pieces like unagi which is equally as delicious. Service is almost always prompt and friendly. Oh I almost forgot to mention the drinks. They don't skim on liquor here. I've had a variety of the drinks here too and always have at least 2 of them. Most of the restaurants have a loud environment with club music. So it's not for everyone. I don't care for it much but we sit at the sushi bar next to each other so it's not a problem. I love the sushi so I keep coming back. If you do sit at the bar ask to be seated away from where the plates are picked up. That way you won't be bothered by the frequent traffic. Before I forget they do have some sort of awards program. I think you have to pay. Though we visit here at least 2 -4 times a month I still refuse to pay to join it. I did join the email list. That's for free. You should try it. If you do check in on Yelp and get a complimentary tempura ice cream. The price is higher but the quality is too.

Great sushi! Started with tuna poke (Hawaiian style) just remember this is Texas so it's not exactly like the Hawaiian style. Still good, almost $20 and it's considered an appetizer. I ordered the firecracker roll because I love spicy. This roll did a good job of that. Wonton berry tower, recommend by our server Lisa. It was delicious and presentation was on point!

This place seems to be really popular and a favorite sushi spot for many people and although I've been here before, I've never got around to writing a review for it. I've been here for the hibachi grill (not my thing--"No fair, you gave that guy more chicken than me...I demand equal meat for all!") But the sushi here is very good indeed and you really can't go wrong. Of course the fatty tuna is a must, as well as salmon, but try to explore other fishes. I personally love red snapper and feel giddy when I see the suckers laid out in front of me. I've also had the teriyaki chicken bento box and loved it as the chicken was moist and not too sweet. This place is funner in a group setting as the restaurant almost has a club-like feel and even the lunch service feels like a busy dinner service. Regardless, the food here is spot on and is definitely a must visit.

This location is a bit different than the other two locations I've been to. Service was good but felt more like a local dive bar (which I don't mind but very different from my experience at the other two locations). I had a ahi tower and felt it was just kinda thrown together and not really prepared with care- granted we went during lunch but there really wasn't anyone else there.

Blue Fish gets my vote for the best sushi in Dallas (at least that I have found so far). I went here for dinner on 4/10 and had a great time! The Food: The sushi was fantastic! Everything was very fresh and tased great. We had delicious rolls, sashimi and nigiri. All of it was amazing. The prices are competitive and they give you enough wasabi so that you do not have to ask for more (unlike most sushi bars around Dallas that are stingy with it). The fish was so fresh it tasted as if it had been alive earlier that same day. The Drinks: I had a Revolver Blood & Honey, which is my favorite beer. Anybody that sells it automatically gets an extra star just for that. My girlfriend wanted a cocktail. She picked some kind of fruity martini that looked like a pina colada first. She loved it. Then for drink number 2, she ordered something else, which was orange and had brown hard sugar around the rim. She liked that one even more than the first one. The drink prices were average, but the drinks themselves were excellent. The Service: A+. Our waiter was on point all night. He checked on us frequently, but not too much as to be annoying. He made sure that we never had an empty glass and that everything tasted as we had hoped. He made educated recommendations on the sushi based on what we told him we liked, he was very knowledgeable on the menu and he fixed a mistake when they accidently brought us snapper instead of the marlin that we ordered (they comped the snapper and still brought us the marlin). His attitude was great too. He had a good sense of humour and made us laugh several times. I think his name was Giorgio or something like that. The Atmosphere: Very cool and modern. I like the decorations and the huge screen TV over the bar that plays footage of whales and dolphins is awesome. The whole place feels open and free instead of crammed together and claustrophobic like the sushi bars in downtown. They have comfy sofas in the lobby area where you can sit while you wait for a table and have a drink, or you can eat there too if you want. Parking is a piece of cake, they have plenty. Overall this place has it all. The location is not too bad (it's near my girlfriend's house) and it's conveniently right next to 75 in a new shopping center where Trader Joe's just opened. The food is spectacular, better than some I've had in Miami. The staff is friendly and helpful, the drinks are cold and tasty. What more do you need?

Philadelphia roll ($7), volcano roll ($18), and calamari. The rolls were good - not noteworthy or amazing. I just had half a volcano roll last night at Shiawase and found myself disappointed I wasn't eating theirs. Lots of diced scallop pieces atop a cold California roll; the scallops left a gritty aftertaste. Though I didn't try the calamari, it looked super hot/freshly cooked, and the rings had a seriously appetizing color/panko breading. I would return for their lunch special, happy hour, or maybe to try some nigiri. Free tempura ice cream for checking in on Yelp with the option to save it for later.
