My go to place for fancy-schmancy pizza. Loved our server with the awesome beard who let us add bacon to our Triple Roni pizza. Bravo! I like how everytime I go their menu has been tweaked and their drink specials are great. My new favorite? Honey-Lemoned Bourbon! Yum! BONUS: the Knox-Henderson one has a dog-friendly patio.

Delicious food, pizza, and desserts. Great service. Great atmosphere, central location. Love Fireside Pies! The Pizza is very authentic and very Naples. Amazing!

Love Fireside Pies! It never disappoints. I love the light and crispy and the triple roni pizzas, along with anyone of their salads. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service i always great.

Oh, the endless quest of the best pizza in Dallas! I have been to the Fireside Pies location on Henderson numerous times but this was my first visit to the Lovers/Inwood location. Therefore I knew what to expect to some extent. This location does not feature a large patio like the Henderson location but the interior seating is much more spacious. As expected on a Friday night, the place is generally crowded and a wait of at least 30 minutes is fairly typical. I don't mind the wait because we planned on having a drink at the bar. However, the bar is oddly tucked behind an awkward corner so the available standing room is quite limited. We started the night off at the bar and the drinks were solid. However, I don't recommend the Grapefruit Rickey that I ordered at the table. Unless you're a crotchety old baby boomer who really loves grapefruit juice, it's way to tart to enjoy. We ordered a salad to share as well as Bruschetta to start which I didn't try much of but the table generally enjoyed. As far as the pizzas, we went with the Prosciutto & Parm and the Triple 'Roni which were both great. They were a little on the greasy side but still good. OK, so I didn't find the best pizza in Dallas at Fireside Pies on Lovers. But overall, it's still a good place to grab pizza and drinks with friends. The service is friendly and as long as you're patient and don't mind a little wait, it's an overall great option. I'll be back for more, but no Grapefruit next time!

I visited Fireside pies for dinner this week and have to say after the 4th or 5th time, I am still impressed with their consistency and quality of food. The crab claws and caesar salad were my favorite starters. The triple-roni pizza was amazing as usual then we capped off a great evening with a chocolate brownie covered in vanilla ice cream. The service was amazing and the food was great!

The pepperoni pizza with truffle oil turned me on to truffle oil. It wasn't that I was scared but I never had the notion to order something with truffle oil. Since then I've purchased both black and white truffle oil for the house and add it to every pizza or Mac and Cheese I make. Thanks fireside pie for turning on to another expensive habit, cocaine would've been cheaper. I had a great experience; the service was great while the atmosphere was just right for the night. I'm not a huge Italian food fan but foreside pizza is a craving that I've come to have. I'll be back for that damn pepperoni and maybe, just maybe I'll try the spicy sausage too.

I love their pizza! The crust the fresh and high quality toppings and their adult beverage selection make this my favorite pizza in town! Atmosphere can get a little crazy with lots and lots of screaming kids and babies. Don't get me wrong, I love children, heck I taught elementary school for 9 years and loved every minute of it, but there were too many kids running around, screaming, crying and totally out of control the last time I was there. BOTTOM LINE: best Pizza in Texas!!!!

Overall a good pizza and salad dinner. I decided on this location as I know how hectic Knox-Henderson can be. (The lot here is small too though, and it may or may not be for valet, however I parked across Newmore St at the post office/bank lot.) There was no wait on a Tuesday evening, but the table was smallish for 2 and it turned into a jigsaw puzzle when all our food was out. No matter, we just didn't use the second set of plates that were brought for the pizza. I really found it to be pretty standard. The food was good but it didn't knock me off my chair or anything. My friend and I shared an italian salad and a Jimmy's spicy italian sausage pizza. The salad was a recommendation from our server. Salad was salad and I just wish the pizza crust held up towards the center more. If you didn't support it, the toppings sorta would slide off. But man, that sausage was tasty!! I've been meaning to visit Jimmy's Food store.... I really hope this doesn't come off as negative! I enjoyed my dinner, it just wasn't OMG good. :)

Who belongs here on a Friday night? Drunk mothers who keep their kids awake by luring them with chocolate cake at 9 pm. Seriously, if i want to be surrounded by little screaming terrors, I'll sit in the ball pen at Chuck-E-Cheese. I could not believe how many poorly behaved children there were at this restaurant last Friday night! Children were screaming and crying constantly and the parents were just ignoring them, laughing, and drinking bottles of wine! I go to this location sometimes because it's closer to my apartment but it has been way too kid-friendly for me lately. I've also had my order messed up here a couple of times, and wasn't offered any free dessert or discount. They need to be more careful about allergies and vegetarian needs! The food is good here, just like at the Henderson location, but the decor is not as charming and people pile in kids like it's Noah's Ark! If you want to come here- I'd suggest arriving right at five or coming after 9, when 2-year-olds are hopefully in bed rather than pulling your hair from the booth behind you...

My husband and I went here for a date one night and fell in love with the place. It is a bit pricey, and it was a treat because his company was paying for it, but I would say it's worth it. The place itself has a nice atmosphere, the pizza is beautiful and delicious, and they have great drinks too. Definitely try their Old Fashioned Vermont. It's a great blend of whiskey, simple sugar syrup, and a wonderful candied dark cherry (to my knowledge). I was most impressed because we ordered two different kinds of pizza, and a very nice lady (I think she may have been a manager or someone high up) came to our table and apologized because one of our pizzas had gotten a big hole in the middle so they were having to remake it. Overall, loved it and I'm looking forward to when we can go back. I hope to try dessert next time!

While this location lacks the charm of the original Henderson location, it's still damn good pizza. We arrived at 6pm to discover that the tight parking lot was self-park (yay for no valet!) and the restaurant was pretty empty. By the time we left at 7, the crowd had started to move in and most tables were full. Our server, Rachel, was pretty on top of things. She was there when we needed her, but absent otherwise so we could enjoy our date night. We ordered the Light and Crispy, with added pepperoni on Rachel's suggestion. It was definitely light with fresh chopped tomatoes, little sauce and loaded with pepperoni and fresh basil. I wasn't a huge fan of the Hanna Sauv Blanc, but it didn't deter me from having a second glass. The Cheese salad also tasted a bit off for some reason and wasn't as rich as I remember it. Overall, it was an easy and delicious dinner stop before heading to Inwood Theater to catch a flick.

Fireside is a very solid addition to a neighborhood I've seen transform quite a bit over the course of 30+ years. My grandparents live within walking distance and the fiance' and I were (are -- I'm writing this from a hotel room) up for the weekend visiting. My g'parents have lived in their house since the mid-60s, it is definitely a story in the more things change (businesses, restaurants, people), the more things stay the same (National Bank, Inwood Tavern, Inwood Theatre, the school). This is a place I definitely hope will fall into the latter category. After passing it up and circling back, the Mister and I pulled into the tiny parking lot and walked into the unknown. We actually weren't sure it was open at first, and were a bit thrown off by the fact that a (seemingly unassociated?) valet stand was situated in front of the joint, facing the street. But the door is actually on the side, by the parking lot. Odd. But whatevs. We walked in and were over-greeted by four or five servers... my initial thought? They were bored as hell because of no business and congregated at the front gossiping. I looked around and noticed only a couple other patrons (it was 5p on a Friday evening). Hmm, I thought. This could be bad. Still, we were sat and greeted soon after by Evan, who turned out to be wonderful. Their menu isn't extensive, but it's got a solid offering of apps, salads, pies and desserts. Evan explained the Fireside ethic -- things are served family style and meant to serve two, the crust will be crispier (or not) depending on the type of sauce our pie has. We ordered our three courses, two waters and waited. Except for an errant mosquito buzzing around our window, I loved the decord -- dark wood, and low hanging light globes. Clean lines and minimal, but still cozy. Our meatballs came in a steaming hot ceramic pot, looking obscenely delicious -- and they didn't disappoint. While most meatballs are dense, these were light and herbacious, and actually almost fell apart when you cut into them. They were bathing in a coarse tomato sauce, very obviously homemade and not some Hunt's crap from a can. The order of four was the perfect size. Soon after, our salad arrived -- the Texas bibb, which was equally good. I love the way they serve their salads... not some shredded mass of lettuce drowning in dressing. Everything was fresh and artful on the plate; the Mister doesn't even eat salads (this was just his second) and he couldn't stop talking about it. After two courses, we worried that pizza would be far too much, but we found room. Each pie is about 12-inches -- six slices total. We got the Hot N' Crumbled, which had spicy Italian sausage, chopped tomatoes and whipped garlic ricotta cheese. The flavors came together really nicely, but we wished the crust was a bit crispier. Still, Evan had told the truth -- the crust was softer than normal because the sauce we'd chosen was more robust. We didn't realize it would be *that* soft, but nonetheless, we had been warned. The chunks of tomatoes were large and sweet, and the homemade ricotta was incredible. In the end, we polished off the entire thing. Our server was attentive but unobtrusive -- our drinks were steadily refilled, conversation was pleasant and our empty dishes were always swiftly collected. The longer we stayed, the more people arrived; as others have noted, there did wind up being a fair number of toddlers there. But you know what? Parents need to eat, too. It's not Fireside's fault if a parent doesn't pay attention to their kid. The atmosphere wasn't such that it took away from our meal, which was pretty damned impressive. Our $40 bill was, too -- the four courses (a brownie and ice cream for dessert) were more than worth it. The feather in Fireside's proverbial cap, however, was when one of the chef's came out to check on us.It wasn't just the standard "how was your meal?" table touch. Evan had told her it was our first visit, and I expanded on that a bit, telling her we lived in Austin and were in town visiting family. She seemed extremely genuine, thanking us for coming in and wishing us safe travels. I think there was also something about her being fairly heavily pregnant -- if the kitchen was too hot or her feet were hurting, she didn't show it. Midway through the meal, the Mister and I mused that this might be our go-to place when we roll into Dallas. But forget our next trip; I am making plans to return tomorrow.

The best thing we had here was the appetizer which was a baked goat cheese. It was delicious. However, the pizzas were forgettable and the atmosphere is similar to California Pizza Kitchen with better cocktails.

O-VER RA-TED! {clap clap clap-clap-clap} The only explanation for this place getting more than one star from anyone is that they've been brainwashed by the "hip" atmosphere. Honestly, though, I wasn't even all that impressed with the atmosphere. Plus, all the waitresses looked like they had gotten the same discount at the Oompa-Loompa tanning salon. (You remember how orange those guys were?? Yeah.) The ONLY reason this place gets ANY stars from me is because the waitress changed the TV channel for me. And let me say that I REALLY wanted to like this place, because it's so conveniently located!! :( Complaints: 1. "Warm" salad was nothing spectacular and not at all "warm." $12 for that??? 2. Pizza ("hot and crumbly" or some crap) was too SOGGY to pick up and too spicy to eat. I ended up eating the crusts while my boyfriend ate the rest of it. 3. Waitress asked how we were doing. I gave her a blank "I-can't-believe-you're-serving-this-crap" look. My boyfriend told her the pizza was "incredibly spicy." She laughed at that and WALKED AWAY. I went home and had a real dinner -- leftovers from three nights ago. Better than Fireside Pies!!!

Okay, so this review isn't really fair, but here's what happened last night. After reading all the reviews and complaints about kids, we thought it would be the perfect place to take our 4-year-old. Mind you, our kid isn't a brat and we never let him run wild or annoy people. We arrived at 6:30 "to beat the crowd". WRONG! FOURTY MINUTE WAIT! Dear Yelpers, there's no way this place could be worth waiting for 40 minutes just to be seated. So we left. I may try in the future . . . guess you have to get here at 5:30 to avoid the lines . . . whatever . . . . happy for them they're doing a good business.

I went with my mom (we dine out together a lot) We had: Red sangria, a seasonal salad, and a simple pie (yay cheese!!) The Sangria was strong and really tasty. The salad was extremely fresh and mom and I loved it. For those who know me, I'm not a huge salad fan but this was uber tasty. The Pizza- OMG I can't wait to go back and have more pizza. This was unbelievably tasty. The Location was nice and very clean. Our server was polite and very quick. Mom and I walked up about 6:30 pm on a Friday and got a table. Parking was a nightmare though, but we got a spot in the lot. I will admit that I didn't notice the price tag (cause mom was buying dinner) but I don't think it was too bad for what we got.

We have been to the Knox and Plano locations several times before going into this restaurant, and the Inwood location is definitley the one to be avoided if you are looking to enjoy the evening. Fireside Pies is still Fireside but this location is the ChuckEcheese of Inwood. As expected there was a bit of a wait, but we never mind because we know what is ahead of it. The bar is smaller than other locations and we had to work our way around all the kids to get to the bar for a drink. The menu here seemed a bit different. We asked our waitress, Karla, and she explained that this location is their test location for new items. Karla was awesome! Despite how busy it was she took her time at each table and provided gracious service. The calamari, fried and tossed with banana peppers and served with a thick and rich marinara sauce was good but was your typical fried calalmari dish...nothing special. The Triple Roni pizza is always delicious. Overall, this Fireside Pies still provided the great solid food that Fireside is known for but all the kids and baby bottles took away from the Fireside atmosphere. I'd make the drive to the Plano location before coming back to Inwood. Parking can be a pain but there are usually open spots in the neighborhood behind.

I'm sad to report that this location wasn't up to par with the Fireside standards I've come to expect. We called before leaving the house and they had no wait, but 20 min later when we arrived - it was a half hour wait. I understand that it's not their fault, but I hate when that happens. We're waiting for our table and see a party of 4 come in and get a table in about 5-10 min. It was obvious they knew the manager because she was quick to chat with them and GET THEM drinks from the bar (mere mortals have to get their own drinks from the bar), seat them in the first available table, chat at their table, etc. If the wait is 30 min - which it was for everyone else. Then don't make it that obvious when you are giving some people preferential treatment - its bad for morale. We finally get our table and order drinks. By this time I'm so hungry that if my waitress had hung out at my table long enough for me to tell her I wanted a salad after ordering my sangria I would have ordered right away, but alas she did not. After she got our drinks we ordered the cheese salad and our pizza right away. My red sangria lived up to its reputation (I feel fireside has the best sangria in dallas), but my fiance's peach sangria fell short. The salad came out reasonably fast and was fantastic (as usual). The pizza was an entire 'nother story. We waited what I would guess is about an HOUR for our pizza after we ordered it. That's insane. Our waitress was apologetic about our wait and when the pizza finally arrived it was delivered by the same manager that did the preferential seating and was accompanied by the most insincere apology I've ever had. I think she said "The pie is on us tonight because of the long wait." There may have been other words in there, but thats the jist - and it was delivered in the "gosh this is such a pain in my a$$" tone rather than the "wow i'm really so sorry that we screwed up" tone. The pizza was awesome, but that doesn't surprise me Then - rather than stepping up because we were having a bad experience our waitress kind of flaked out. Never refilled any drinks once we finally got our pizza. Overall.. the food lives up to the fireside name, but the service is crap. I'll stick with takeout from this location until I hear they've gotten alot better with the service. +2 stars because the food was awesome. -3 stars because of the snub by the manager while waiting for the table (who wants to feel unimportant?), the ridiculously long pizza wait and insincere apology, flaky waitress not stepping up. Also - Forgot to mention earlier that the decor is not as cool as the other 2 locations. It's much brighter and the bar is really small, but the plus side to that is that they have way more tables. AND - the way the AC vents are set up about half the tables are located directly under a vent so my hour long pizza wait was an hour long FREEZING pizza wait - which is worse. They need to work on the direction of air flow. If we had gotten a hot appitizer it would have been cold in 10 min or less.

after a day of wine tasting... my fiancee was craving pizza.. so she suggested fireside pies.. she would have given fireside pies 4 stars... but i guess i'm not as generous.. my buddy seemed to enjoy the pizza a bit more than me.. their ingredients are solid.. the crust is crispy... but it's not the best pizza i've had in dallas (see il cane rosso).. and they are a bit cheap with toppings.. we started off with the seasonal salad... the greens were a tad wilted.. and didn't have the crisp salad crunch you would expect.. aside from limp greens.. the flavor was decent.. we then got the artichoke/chicken white pizza.. which was ok.. it's not something i'd order again.. it needed more chicken and artichoke.. the other pizza we got was the prosciutto and parm.. like is said earlier.. it needed more toppings.. there was barely any parm.. additionally.. they put too much arugula on the pizza... it was like eating a salad on top of the pizza.. it still didn't hide the fact it needed more toppings.. lastly.. service was a bit slow.. and the waitress couldn't pour a beer to save her life.. all i got was head.. really.. wtf?

I really like Fireside Pies pizza. However, I do NOT always like the Henderson location (for many of the same reasons that other Yelpers avoid it) - The Fireside Pies at Inwood is still only 5 minutes or so from my apartment, and makes for a great, pre-Inwood-movie meal. The first time I visited - I was with a vegetarian friend, and they sent her pizza out covered in sausage... Soooo, there's *that* - BUT aside from one, little, meaty faux pas - it's always been great! Thankfully, I've never experienced hordes of crazy, screaming kids. The Cheese Salad is ZOMGOOOD, and so is their straight cheese pie for that matter... cheesy, greasy goodness. Although, I will say that my favorite is the Hot 'n Crumbled = garlicky, spicy, sausage-y concoction (SO good! But a TERRIBLE idea if you're on a hot date). Trust me guys, you should probably just stick with the Straight Pie or another of their delicious (not-so-spicy-or-garlic-y) selections unless you're out with your buddies, parents or any other non-sexy-times-companion ;) On my last visit, we tried one of their signature cocktails, but I don't recall it being on the menu - it was some sort of spicy margarita. My tongue couldn't quite decide what to do with it... it was really weird to drink. Sweet + spicy, indeed, but I'm really not sure that I enjoy that sensation in a cocktail. It was okay, but I certainly didn't want more than one.

Not impressed. When I moved back to Dallas I insisted that FP on Henderson is best pizza in Dallas but I need to revisit there after eating at the Inwood location tonight. The white sangria didn't seem as good as I remembered. The procsiutto was too salty and the cremini mushrooms didn't seem to be as smoky or tender as I remembered. Hopefully it's just this location that's a little off kilter. I need to revisit the Henderson Ave location to reassess. I wouldn't say that this location has top 3 pizza in Dallas. Those honors go to Olivella's, Neo's and Campania. I can't include FP on Henderson in the top 3 until I eat at that location again (it's been 5 years).

FIVE - Service was enthusiastic and attentive without being obnoxious. FOUR - The pizza (would've got a FIVE if the crust were a tad crisper). THREE - The panna cotta gelatin was seperated from the cream and the topping was over powering. TWO - If you have a great product (and they do), TV's detract from the meal experience. Also, the music was poor and the decor was hum-drum. ONE - The wine. Great selections but both of the glasses we ordered were oxidized.

Ok first of all. I really do love Fireside Pies and I think a lot of people give it a much worse rep than it deserves. HOWEVER, I will say that they're food is good, place is clean and the servers are friendly. Oh and the Sangria....absurd. So are the cosmo's. Just sayin. Patrons: I do agree with Tricia O in that the children that come to this place are so obnoxious and why FP does nothing about it, is beyond me. We went on Friday night and witnessed a table with 6, yes 6 boys ages 8-10 (my guess). Not only were they screaming and playing games at the table, but had the attention of everyone in the restaurant. This means they were disturbing everyone. Oh and the adult did absolutely nothing. Even the bar tenders were shaking their heads. I was at the bar (obviously) enjoying my martini and even I was annoyed. About 15 minutes later the assist mgr goes up to the table to tell them to quiet down and one of the boys says "who are you?". Still adult did nothing. Ugh. As it turned out, we were sat next to this beautiful group of screaming kids. Our waitress came up to our table as the kids were running around, looked at us and mouthed "sorry". I understand your sorry, but WTF? Say something to the oblivious Daddy-O. Food: The Fireside Fondue is delicious, however if you plan on ordering pizza try something else. It can be a lot of cheese and sauce. Also, the cheese salad will stop your heart. It's THAT good. This place should be open for lunch, cause if it was, I would eat it everyday. Oh, yea...they are only open for DINNER. Boo. For pizza we ordered the Fresh Mozzarella, Market Tomatoes, Hand-Torn Basil & Balsamic pizza...eh. Def wouldn't order it again. I usually order the Fireside Meatballs, Roasted Red Onions & Roasted Red Peppers Pizza....Mmmmm. Crunchy crust, delicious middle. Falls apart, yummy. But I wanted to try something new. We also ordered the Jimmy's Spicy Italian Sausage, Scamorza & Roasted Red Onions, BF and his friend were dying over it. Literally. Eating so fast like it was going to disappear...yea in your stomachs. For dessert....their fresh market pies, a la mode....um seriously. Stop. Hee Hee. Stop!! It tickles your belly good! Apology: At the end of our meal the hostess and assist mgr came over to our table to apologize for the kids. I just said that even though we enjoyed our meal, it was a huge "zit" in our evening. They really need to have army guards on hand for this type of crap. Conclusion: Long story short (too late). I do like this location better than the one on Knox/Henderson. You will wait well over an hour there...this location...30 min max. I'll def be back, just maybe later to avoid the bratty, over-privileged no disciplined children. Hmph. It really does damper your evening.

I am new to town and this is my favorite place!!!!!! The service is fantastic and the food divine. My husband and I have both been in the restaurant business for 25+ years a piece and can sometimes be hard to please. There are so many good restaurants in Dallas to choose from but you cannot beat the food, consistency, and fantastic service here. My dining experience last night was one of the best I have ever had bar none. I will be a long time repeat customer!

A friend took me here last weekend and let me tell you...it was GREAT. From the second we walked into the restaurant I knew that I would love it. I believe it is a converted house (so much fun) and has a lot of character and charm. We dined at the bar because there was a wait. I saw that they had Boulevard Wheat on tap which is my all time favorite beer so I was already happy. Then we ordered an appetizer of the fondue which was delicious. The flavor was well balanced and none of the ingredients outdid the others. We chose the pepperoni (or triple roni?) pizza. The crust was to die for and not too crunchy but not too soft and each bite was better than the previous. I will definitely be back not only for the food but the service was impeccable.

Wow, I've been a fan of this place for a few years, but latest visit was a disappointment. Plus: Service - had a fun, energetic server Minus: We ordered the Hot n' Crumbled (Hot n' Crumbled Jimmy's Spicy Italian Sausage, Roasted Garlic-Herb Whipped Ricotta & Chopped Tomatoes) which has spicy Italian sausage - it was WAY too spicy - it overpowered the pizza almost to the point of sending it back but we endured. Couldn't taste the whipped ricotta which we were most excited about Cosmos were flavorless and pure alcohol - they bartender added some more cranberry juice to tone them down (and I like a strong drink!); they were out of martini glasses which kinda takes away from the experience a little. If we hadn't run into some good friends, this would have been a total write-off meal. Not sure I'll give this place another chance. Seems that they've grown out of their small, one-restuarant operation and as my Mom would say, "gotten too big for their britches."

Reasons to go to Fireside Pies: -The Serious Caesar salad is serious business. Not only is it beg enough for two to three to share, it's tasty enough that I could give this place five stars just for a salad! If you don't like the anchovies just ask them to take them off. -Most of the pies on the menu are good eats. I'm not in love with blue cheese, so I haven't had the chicken pie, but I might just have to brave it next time because all of the other ones have been so tasty. -They really know how to make a crust. It's very thin under the pizza and toasted to perfection, but the crust at the top gives you something to bite into. Reasons why I'm not a total regular: -PARKING, ugh. The lot is TINY and very hard to navigate. -They don't have make-your-own pizzas on the menu. What's up with that? -The pizzas are a little on the small side and only come in one size to begin with. Overall, this place keeps me coming back because the food is good and a pizza with a salad is just enough for two people to devour in one sitting. Is this the "best pizza in Dallas" ummm.... I'll get back to you when I've tried every pizza in Dallas!

I had heard lots of good things about Fireside. My first experience was good not great. The atmosphere was pretty cool actually, there were no obnoxious spoiled Highland Park kids or anything like that. The service was great -- no complaints there. We had a group of 6 and there were no issues at all. Now to the food -- the cesear salad was average IMO. I mean, I liked it, but it wasn't life-changing. I've heard the cheese salad is good, but for some reason we didn't go with that. The pie was definitely tasty -- but I didn't think it was all that great. I don't spend a ton of time in this area, so I'm not sure how it stacks up with other places around there -- but bottomline, it was pretty good food, with good friends, but seemed to be a bit overrated.

I love this place. The location is much better than the Henderson one if you want to get in and out. The Henderson location is great if you are in no hurry and want to be seen. I have been coming here since it opened and can only remember waiting a couple times. I usually end up going around 8 or so. Service is always good, the wait staff are always friendly. Pizza and salad are a good combo to split. Sometimes the truffle oil can get a little intense, but ask them to take it easy or eliminate it all together. Everyone should try this place. It isn't the typical NY or Chicago pizza I like to call it more of a "fancy" pizza. But it's worth a shot!

This is my favorite place for take out - nothing beats it for me in Dallas. Two things make Fireside Pies a standout. First is the quality and freshness of the ingredients they use in their salads and pies. Second is the fact that they offer a variety of different and unusual pizzas and salads instead of the typical offerings you find in most places. I can't resist their salads - they are all so good, made as they are with top quality organic vegetables, meats and cheeses added to which is the fact that their dressings are excellent. My favorite is the baby arugula salad but I also love the harvest salad and my husband's favorite is the cheese salad. Pick any or all of their salads and you won't be disappointed. As for the pizzas, my all time favorite is the BBQ chicken hatch chili pepper pie which is only available during hatch chili season - so if you've never tried it, make sure and do so next year. But really all their pizzas are good too. I'm just very glad that Fireside Pies exists, making date night with take out at home something to look forward to.

Really lovely. Our server, Jennifer, was knowledgeable, fast, personable and provided great service. The suggested carmenere was lushious and coupled well with the meatballs. The expo/chef came to the table to bring the amazing meatballs and grilled toast. She too was very hospitable and explained exactly how the meatballs are made. The pizza crust was thin and hand tossed. I would suspect fresh from the oven is preferable but will report on the take home next time. The only "negative" was the calamari. It looked fantastic but I can only describe it as being "wet", not oily but rather a damp layer between the tender calamari and the crispy coating. The Peperoncini added a great depth to it and the marinara was robust with out being overpowering. I will try them again as it appeared to be an off night on the calamari station. Bottom line... We will def be back.

Thank God for this place. Seriously. Several years ago, after hearing the Fireside Pies buzz, we went to the Knox/Henderson location only to wait TWO HOURS for a table. The meal was good, but hardly worth that kind of wait time. Every once in a while, I get a craving for spectacular pizza, but there's no way a girl as impatient as me can handle the Knox/Henderson location again. Enter the Inwood location. It's MUCH bigger than the other location, which means very little wait time. Thank you, Pizza Jesus. I've had most of the pizzas on their menu and have never tasted one I didn't like. But if I had to choose my favorite, it's not even close: the pie with Jimmy's Spicy Italian Sausage, Scamorza & Roasted Red Onions is orgasmicly good. The sweetness of the onions + the spiciness of the sausage = happy tastebuds. Their fireside cheese salad is also quite good, but be warned: it's heavy on the cheese, as is most everything there. If obesity is not a concern, go for the fireside fondue. Oh, and they are more than happy to bring you a taste of the beers they have on tap, so don't be shy.

I didn't understand why the average rating for this place was 3 stars until I ate there last weekend. The first thing I noticed were the kids and all their parents drinking wine - makes sense I guess. Knocking the rating down because of the family aspect there might be a little harsh. There admittedly were kids at almost every table on Friday night except for mine and any other two-tops. I wasn't expecting a quiet, intimate dinner that evening, so the noise didn't bother me as I expect it did for other yelpers. I was still able to get in and get out without feeling like service was too slow or too rushed. Minus maybe .5 stars for having dinner at the babysitter's club. The pizza was really great, overall. Their crust was so light, crisp on the edges with a perfect amount of chewy. The pizza with prosciutto and arugula on top was great! Reminds me of the pizzas I ate with rocket salad in Italy. I agree with the other reviews that it's annoying you can't design your own and they don't even have that many pre-set options to choose from to make up for the lack of customization. Minus 1 star for the limited pizza menu.

We eat here regularly and love it. Whether you are eating in or taking-out, Fireside Pies is always exceptional and very easy on the pocketbook. Cheesecake is to die for!!!

I was rather brutal with my FP-Inwood reviews in the past, but many things have changed in recent weeks, so an update is due. Yelpers who tried FP-Inwood and found it lacking, please try it again. We've been a few times recently and found it much better now. Gone are the major waits; instead, they seat you promptly and efficiently. Gone is the aloof manager; this manager was friendly and she worked tables the entire time we were there. They found new ways to operate the oven, making much better pies. They found better ways to add toppings, placing them more sparingly to make better flavor combinations. We got the same wait person twice, and she was great both times. Thanks, FP, for making these changes for the better!

I felt compelled to give a review for this place because I cannot believe the number of people who left a bad review for this place without even trying the food!!!! I think it's irresponsible to give 1 star because YOU thought the wait was too long or other patrons brought their bratty children. Are these things annoying? YES! However, I don't see how either of these are the fault of the restaurant. This place has really come a long way since it opened. Their menu is better than ever! Especially with the addition of the Thin and Crispy pizzas. The salads and appetizers are fantastic. In fact, we have come several times and just ordered an appetizer and a couple of salads as our meal. I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their Sangrias. So much that I have tried to copy them at home on several occasions.

13 bucks for a cheese salad that I could eat 2 of by myself? 14 bucks for a subpar, stingy portioned pizza w barely any sauce? Biggest ripoff in Inwood area. Would rather eat Cicis than this crap

Enjoyed a small girls dinner at Fireside Pies last night - one of many trips, one of many dinners with girlfriends. I'd say it probably ranks in my top five pizza parlors in the Dallas area. They know how to make darn good pizza & salads. Love the salads! Food Recommendations: Salads: Fireside Cheese (yum, cheese), Baby Arugula and Texas Bibb - all salads are a very generous portion and great for sharing Pies: Triple 'Roni (don't be fooled by the triple part... it really doesn't seem to be 3x the 'roni but still great), Light n' Crispy, House-made Chicken Sausage (not always on the menu at this location) and the mushroom & arugula (can't remember the official name) One down fall - their wine menu. I believe it recently changed and makes for a difficult time finding a bottle I'm excited to enjoy. Thankfully with good girlfriends even bad wine is good. If you like the FP location on Henderson but hate the wait and noise - this is a good alternative.

Oh my ... where to begin ... this it is ... SABENA - Such A Bad Experience Never Again. We arrived at 6:30 PM on a Saturday and there was a 45 minute wait for pizza. The throngs of people waiting were everywhere - in the small waiting area, outside, in the parking lot. And the ATTITUDE at the host station was 90210 on overdrive. After 15 minutes of evading the smokers who hang out outside with those waiting for a pizza, we left never ever to return again. We went instead to Campisi's in Inwood Village - and had a lovely dinner. Keep that in mind if you go here - unless you have hours of free time.

After all this jibber jabber talkin' I hear of this place I finally decided to try it out! It was my boyfriends birthday and figured I needed to Wow him over with something great, Hes a huge pizza fan, loves it so fireside came highly recommend by my coworkers and such. After reading the reviews on here for the other locations I wanted to try Innwood out since I read it was the one location that wasn't as busy or packed. It was a Wednesday evening around 7ish, was kind of nervous going in because of the LONNGGG wait ppl complained about.. well we walked in greeted by a wonderful host who was so nice, she told us it would be about a 20 minute way.. bummer I know but we still waited. It wasn't that bad of a wait tho, we sat for maybe like 10 minutes in the bar area and were called to our table, We were seated and automatically I asked for a Passion Fruit Sangria.... ummm amazing!!!!!!!!! Even the Peach tea was delish!! We also ordered the Fireside Cheese salad which was just as amazing.. the picks for the night as far as pizza is concerned was Peta Pie and the Tripleroni (??) both very yumi, nicely seasoned, and portions were perfect. A little bit soggy from the middle of the pie but was still good.. ingredients were fresh and hot.. and ughhh the basil!!! We bothed loved our dinner and wanted to come back for more, already planning another date! The environment was a little old for my taste, lots of "highlanders", and it was pretty loud so didn't really get to talk much with the bf.. but it was good food and the service was excellent, tummy was happy and thats all the matters, for 2 ppl.. 2 pies, 1 sangria, 1 tea, and a giant salad for 60 bucks.. not too bad!!!!

Overpriced. Soggy crust and barely any toppings on this 1/2 a$$ed effort. I guess its perfect for bland Dallasites. Poorly run.

I'm a big fan of the Fireside Pies on Henderson so I thought I would try the new location on Inwood. The food is just as good as the original location. We had the Northbeach pizza and the Italian salad shared between two people. It was the perfect amount of food. The Prickly Pear Margaritas were also delicious. For dessert, we had FSP's take on Peach Pie Ala Mode which was a perfect end to a yummy meal. The crowd was a little more "Highland Park" and a little less "Uptown Hipster" and there was no wait to be seated. Overall, a good locaion and great food.

When you arrive you're greeted with a strong dank smell of sewage waste. There's a long brown stained trail that leads right up to the building. Hmm I wonder what that is. That's already a bad sign. The food isn't much better. That's probably why the place is so dark and dingy looking. So, you can't see how bad the pizza is. Pizza is soggy and overpriced and the crust was burnt. There are kids running wild cause the parents are too busy getting drunk to care. Go here if you want overpriced bad pizza and enjoy eating to the ambient sounds of kids screaming.

The pizza here was pretty awesome. It's the perfect size to share between two people (at least my friend and I, probably not my husband). Love that there was more than one meatless option. The kiwi white sangria was good too. The kiwi flavor dominates. I could have easily had a few. The desserts are enormous. Delicious, but way too big. I was wondering why it took longer to get dessert than the pizza, until I realized my brownie appeared to be fresh baked. Service was excellent. We got there right after opening and it wasn't too busy. It was picking up when we left. Parking was tight. We didn't drive, but I could see that as an issue for anyone who is. They appeared to have valet.

Came here thinking they sell pies. THEY SERVE PIZZAS. Parking is pretty miserable. You have to try and find some street parking closeby (there are some street places around in the back, but you will need to walk 5 min) So Fireside Pies is a good place. It's really chill and they offer good, quick service. We ordered a meatball pizza (14) and split it among ourselves. The pizza itself is probably big enough to serve 2-3, if you are not STARVING hungry. They are probably the size of a medium in a normal pizza place, may a little smaller. I thought the pizza was good, had some meatballs on it, but not the BEST pizza I've had. Again, not bad, but not AMAZING. We ordered the brownie and the vanilla bean cheesecake. The brownie was superb. Loved the ice cream on top with nuts. It had a perfect crunch and wasn't overly sweet. The cheesecake was also highly enjoyable. Didn't feel cheap, but was definitely denser than the brownie. The cheesecake was also much larger than I expected, which was a very pleasant surprise! Really liked the place. Def recommend.

Their pizza tastes so good! One pizza serving can fill up two people. One thing that you can notice is their pizza, peppers and cheese taste fresh. I plan on going back to check out their other pizzas and desserts. And yes parking does suck but nothing that is annoying to the point you would want to go anywhere else.

I've heard nothing but fantastic things about this awesome restaurant. Even though carbs are on my short list of food shouldn't have's....I just couldn't resist. Especially since I was given a couple gift cards to enjoy their gourmet fare. Today I started with a Caesar Salad, which had amazing amounts of fresh grated parmesan but the garlic croutons were too crispy and chunky. The dressing was actually a tad sweet, which is odd. This is a savory salad, so I added red chili pepper flakes to cover the sweetness going on. Maybe a few white anchovies would balance this salad. Wanting to skip any nitrate pizza meats, I opted for the white garlic olive oil sage pizza, which is a cheese lover's delight. Just which they offered table side EVOO, my crust was perfectly crispy, but was a tad dry for me. And who doesn't love a olive bouquet hint on their pie. They are down to earth purveyors whom strive for great customer service. I liked my server, but wished I was offered cracked pepper, salt, red chili flakes etc. Found their dining room relaxing and not too loud.

Very solid pizza! I very much enjoy their sangria also...sangria always pairs well with a summer evening! Great location too, very intimate...lots of shops and boutiques nearby as well as ample parking. My go to is always a Margherita pizza with fresh tomatoes and basil. Also the salads are massive so perfect to grab a whole bunch of different ones to share. I'm hardly in this area but if I am and I have a hankering for a tasty pie this joint stays in my back pocket.

Goat cheese is white! My life is complete on the color wheel of food :) On a weekend it is expected this place is going to be packed...bring your patience and a gorgeous sidekick....if time stands still or flies by, your mind and appetite are drenched in possibilities. You can not go wrong with any of the salads...just add a protein....always add protein...it is how you stay sexy. Duh. Cuteness warned me he would destroy a pizza solo...so we opted for two. I have always been the Arugula wanting pine nut held together by goat cheese lover....but adding sausage...spice level happiness. I kind of forgot where I was because I was so happy. He might have asked me a question but between his eyes piercing my soul and hot cheese in my mouth I could not have told you my name. :) This hilarious group of 20 somethings needed a 12 top....so we slid over and the manager was apologetic and professional. As past industry people you realize....people need to fill spots and make everyone smile. Happy to oblige. After 2 hours here...we were mentally stimulated, palate satiated, and physically in need of basic movement.

The pizza is always so good. How do they do it?! It's a good little date night spot because it's dark in there and can be romantic. The pies aren't too expensive and it seems great in there all the time.

More spaced out than the Fireside Pies on Knox/Henderson but without the patio space. The waiters/waitresses are super sweet, and managed to accommodate our huge 20-person group, no questions asked, and were super sweet about making sure everyone got to try every appetizer and got to try every salad and got to try every pizza. (I was very stuffed from this outing). My only complaint is that parking is a PAIN. The parking lot itself is always super crowded, and you can park across the street/on the side streets, but it makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it.

I really liked this place. I am from Chicago where we are known for our out if this world deep dish pizza. However I enjoy trying other types of pizza and this place impressed me. Service was great, friendly staff and very knowledgeable about the menu. Drinks: good bar with a decent selection. Food. We had the crab claw appetizer and pizza. Both were awesome and I do not usually care for crab. Price: seems fair for the service and quality of what you are receiving.

Got the triple roni pizza and it was really yummy. Not better than cane rosso but pretty similar! The atmosphere was relaxed and the decor was nice. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us a red bell pepper ranch to dip for our crust. Nomms! will definitely be coming again

The bruschetta starter was quite good. Even my picky daughter liked the presentation and taste that she had two of the four pieces. Definitely order this. We ordered two pizzas: The Triple Roni - not your average pepperoni pizza. Quite tasty with the truffle oil addition but made the pizza greasy. The Meatball Pie - nice combination of red roasted onions and peppers, sliced meatball, mozzarella. Very good. I'd order this one again. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and checked on us often.

I used to like it because it was decent and convenient. After waiting an hour for a pizza tonight while my kids gradually lost their sh@t, I lost my like for Fireside. We were literally one of three tables when we ordered so busy is not an excuse. The waitress never apologized or checked on us. I finally asked for the check and she still tried to charge me for the pizza to go?! Manager did offer a gift card but I'm a believer that you correct the situation at the time- ie comp meal or something and I'll gladly come back on my own dime. Update- Kurtis and his team reached out and offered to make things right. I said we'd come back and he even honored my request to donate to the North Texas Food Bank rather than comp my next meal. Thanks Fireside team!

Disclaimer: Since it was a group outing I did not pay for food. Therefore this review did not consider the value of food compared to price, and was written solely for the quality of food. I tried this place with bunch of people for a group gathering. We were given some appetizers, salad, pizzas and desserts, all family style. First of all the ambience was very nice and cozy, perfectly suitable for a little night out or even a date night. Out of appetizers I liked bruchetta and meatball. We had sampling of several different kinds of salad. I thought all of them were tasty, but I especially liked the salad with bacon bits. I also liked another kind of salad with sesame oil in it. For pizza, there were meat, pepperoni, cheese/sage, margerita. I liked the crispiness of the dough. I thought it was baked perfectly (fyi, they have woodfired brick oven). Lastly for dessert, we were given brownies, coconut ice cream, cheesecake and one other kind. They were all tasty, but the cheesecake was pretty good. Overall I had a great experience in terms of food, ambience and service. Will definitely go back if I get a chance.

Mmmmmm...pizza. I love pizza and I rarely tire of eating it. Fireside pies did not disappoint, even though it was slightly different than the typical pizza joint, it was delicious. The salads were delicious and very shareable. We got the gluten free crust pizza and it was super good. I'll likely be back and will bring some friends too.

One of the best pizza restaurants in Dallas. The pizzas are wood-fired and salads are very tasty. The Inwood location has a very intimate, relaxed feel. The service is always great. I recommend the Triple "Roni," Prosciutto and Parm, North Beach Pie, baby Arugula, and Pear Salad. But, it's all great.

Maybe it was because it was Superbowl Sunday and the game was on. Maybe their game was just off...but I remember this place being MUCH better than it was on this visit. The pizza was soggy (what is it about pizza in Dallas that you almost have to eat it with a fork to keep it from flopping around. But the worst was the waitress. She gave me the side eye as we were ordering because I looked back at a table behind us, it took more than 30 minutes for our food to come, and when I asked her about it she again gave me the stink eye...then the food came and it was only lukewarm. Sorry, but the food just wasn't good enough to put up with that BS...

Cocktails, seasonal Sangrias, drinks specials: find them on the boards on the walls everywhere. Oh, and they sell pizzas too. I ordered the Peta Pizza: a weird combo of goat cheese, shrooms and green stuff. Smelled and looked great, tasted OK Listening to two moms discuss the merits of Hockaday vs Highland Park schools was priceless LOL

Tonight was my first time at fireside pies. I had heard rave reviews and was not disappointed! I got a grapefruit cocktail- it was delicious, refreshing.. Perfect. I split the meatball pizza with my dad and we loved it. Thin crust, obviously fresh.. Made with love. I'll be back! :)

My boyfriend and I love Fireside for the low-key atmosphere and delicious food! We've been here on multiple occasions and it has never disappointed. There is usually a wait on Friday or Saturdays, but never longer than 20 or 30 minutes and they have a nice bar area with friendly, helpful bartenders where you can wait! For a starter with a group of people, I'd recommend the Harvest or Texas Bibb salad. We split the two between five people and it was more than enough. For a couple, I'd split one salad or get the absolutely, jaw-drop amazing Spinach Artichoke Dip with Pita Bread. Seriously, the stuff is life-changing. If I'm completely honest, I like it even more than the pizza! Most times I've gone to Fireside I have gotten one of their daily/weekly special pies so I don't remember the exact names. However, their specials have always been unique and great! On the most recent visit, we got the Burrata Pesto Pie and added pepperoni; it was perfect! I have also had the Texas Beef Sausage Pie which is a must for spicy food lovers. Prices are reasonable, and definitely when considering the quality of food! They have great rotating beers on tap and a nice wine list. All in all, one of my favorite places for dinner when I'm in Dallas!

The best part of the meal was the cheese salad with the roasted red pepper dressing. Absolutely delicious! The sangria was amazing. The pizza was good but not the best I've had in Dallas.

The pizzas are soooooo delish. My favorite is the arugula, prosciutto, parmesan. And trust me, you can take half home to eat again the next day (just take off the arugula before reheating). The portabello, tomato, mozzerella appetizer is also fantastic. The only downside is that there is often a very long wait for a table.

The white mushroom pie was excellent! The pear cobbler was a pleasant delight. It's the perfect place for a get together with friends in a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. I'm definitely coming back again for their thin crust pizza. The only warning is that if you don't like kids, then this might not be the place for you.

We went to Fireside for our 10th anniversary - we wanted something low-key and tasty, and it definitely delivered! We started with the baked goat cheese, which was amazing, and the server kindly brought us extra bread when she noticed that we hadn't quite mopped up all the cheese with what was provided. I can't remember the name of the special cocktail of the day, but it was made with a really nice infused gin. Very enjoyable. The triple 'roni pizza had a little more grease than I liked, which isn't unexpected with extra pepperoni, but the truffle oil was a great addition. My husband had the garlic & sage white pie, which was excellent as well. We'll definitely go back!

  • Frances G.

The Harvest Salad had me at first bite. The crisp apple slices and crunchy almonds perfectly contrasted with the tangy dressing and soft and sharp bleu cheese that melted in my mouth made me a happy girl for the rest of the evening. I probably would have been completely content had we stopped at the Harvest salad, but it awakened our senses for more robust flavors of pepperoni, truffle oil, and arugula pizza toppings. Already fully aware of the amazing pizza pies at Fireside, I was so excited to tear into the delicious wood-fired crust, mozzarella, and tomato sauce. But the baked goat cheese took the cake...by far. Goat cheese, as we know is already a sensational thing in life, is baked in a bath of olive oil, pesto, Kalamato olives, and cherry tomatoes. Ah.Muh.Gawd. The service was polite and on par, but maybe a tad aloof? Never the mind, because the food steals the show. Although, this location is closer to my abode, I enjoy the Henderson location's cozy and intimate ambiance much more. Yay for Pizza on a cold November night!

  • Christy W.

Came here by myself. The triple roni was AMAZING! Light and crispy, but at the same time juicy and flavorful. Also the drink specials are not the bottom shelf liquor. Kettle one Cosmo on special is great! Service was attentive, even thought I say and listened to a book. Highly recommended. You might think you should get the brownie dessert, but the blackberry cheesecake is very tasty.

After reading about the long wait time, I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of wait when I came on a Saturday night around 8 PM. We were seated promptly when we arrived, and there were still probably one or two empty tables available at any given time while I was there. The balsamic chicken pizza was fantastic. We decided to forgo the bleu cheese, not being fans of the pungent formaggio, and it was delicious. I loved the spinach salad on top, which was a nice contrast to the chicken and tomatoes. We also got a thin and crispy pizza with sausage and goat cheese. It was good, but I didn't think it was that great of a thin crust. I'd just go for their regular pizza crust, since the thin crust doesn't seem like their forte. However, the toppings and combinations were good. Their white sangria was delicious and light, and great with the pizza. Two pizzas were just enough for two hungry people. Overall, pretty good pizza.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
