Winflo is OFFICIALLY in my brunch rotation. 1. Portions = not for little mice. 2. Options = I can has a whole pizza to myself at noon for under $14 - $17? Or a braised beef sandwich ($9) or a damn tiramisu french toast ($12)!? The prices and plates are so varied, it's great if you're going with a ton of friends who all have different budgets and tastes. 3. Mimosas are $3 and they do carafes! They also have a basil bloody mary for $6 that sounds realll interesting. 4. You can sit outdoors and not melt, the shade is GREAT. There is also a parking lot in the back that is real easy to miss if you are coming to Winflo down 5th. Basically turn two streets down from Winflo, find the alley, follow alley and you will find the lot. 5. Service is fantastic, tables are nice and wide Can't wait to come back and try their HH, $10 pizzas and $6 cocktails and wines and apps. Oooo.

Love this spot for happy hour. Ambiance is super cute and the patio area is great, weather permitting. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is when it's busy, you can't hear anything! Seating indoors is all within one open room so the sound carries and it gets loud pretty easily.

Cool location with beautiful trees and decor. The pizza was good, the staff was great. we went once in the winter and they give ladies a shaw. It was cute and romantic.

I have been here about 5 or 6 times now and I really wanted to like this place. The decor is darling inside and it's in the heart of downtown Austin. Every time I went in, I had a blah experience with the staff or the food and after my last trip, I won't be going back. It was small things like ordering a gluten free pizza and getting a regular crust pizza. No big deal if you just apologize and bring out the replacement but the waiter seemed annoyed and never apologized. Another time I came in and waited for over 5 minutes for the hostess to greet me. It was awkward because the hostess stand is literally in the middle of the restaurant so I was just hanging out not trying to watch people eat. A different time I brought my family and we had TERRIBLE service. It took forever for someone to greet us, the waiter wasn't friendly, the whole nine yards. I think they nailed it on the design and the concept but their execution is lacking.

I had been once before and was slightly disappointed in the dishes. I was glad to revisit last week. WE SHARED: Beef Carpaccio & Calamari; bottle of Montepulciano D'Abruzzo THOUGHTS: Beef carpaccios normally seem faint in portion because of the thinness of the meat - this one was no different, but the flavors were on point. The only downside was that it was not served with a vehicle (toasted bread, bread, anything). A lot of times that vehicle makes up for the thinness of the meat - which is why I was surprised to have had to ask for it. The calamari was great - plentiful in portion and the aioli was on point. I HAD: a major craving for a big bowl of pasta. I ordered the classic spaghetti with beef meatballs. THOUGHTS: it hit the spot. The size of the bowl was perfect and it was served with four large meatballs. I would get this again and again on future visits. They provided parmesano and red chili flakes which made for a nice addition to the overall bowl. The marinara sauce was on the lighter side (i like mine heavy), but it was still delicious. FRIEND HAD: one of the pasta dishes with Gorgonzola. THOUGHTS: I did not try it. Impression was that it was heavy on the cream - great for colder days, I am sure. SERVICE: We sat at the bar; the bartender and supporting manager were kind and attentive. The bartender came and went several times so the manager provided most of the service during the meal. WOULD I RECOMMEND: Yes. the bar, the patio, the overall ambiance is spectacular. The menu is extensive, so I am sure you will find something you love.

It's a beautiful spot. The patio is large and you can bring dogs which is great. I didn't enjoy the drinks I ordered but the food is pretty good.

The worse service I have received in a long time for a mediocre food. I Will never go back there again. Bartender I tipped you 20% because I believe in Karma and I like to treat others they way I would like to be treated but you were rude, sarcastic and a very lazy human been with zero hospitality experience. I cant believe the owner hire people like this to run their restaurant... Sad!!!

After a Ryde class a group of us from my workout studio walked over to Winflo for brunch. On this warm and sunny 70 degree day in Austin there was no better place to dine than the patio! The restaurant is in a cute converted house with a charming atmosphere. We arrived at 11 a.m. to a mostly empty restaurant and by noonish they had a packed house. I don't eat brunch too often because I typically eat several light meals throughout the day and eat heavier at dinner time. And well brunch usually equals large portions of decadent plates of food. I was pleased with the portion size and the lighter brunch options offered at Winflo. I started off with water but after seeing guests with their gorgeous glasses of blood orange mimosas I quickly ordered one too. After one sip I could see why they are so popular, the blood orange mimosas are to die for! For my entree I ordered the insalata mista and was very happy with its just-the-right size portion. It had slices of rich genoa salami, pepperoncini, capicola, cubes of mozzarella, grape tomatoes, olives, diced red onions on a bed of fresh baby spinach with a tangy vinaigrette dressing. All the flavors gave this salad zip. Our waitress and waiter were great about refilling waters, coffee and taking additional drink orders. I would definitely recommend them for their brunch and wonderful dog friendly patio. Tips: Happy Hour is Monday-Friday 3 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Sunday & Monday after 5 p.m. they offer 2 for 1 pizzas. There is parking behind the patio next to the restaurant.

I am completely mixed on Winflo and it shows in my review. This restaurant has wild swings in what they offer and therefore I just landed on a 3 star. Winflo has one of the coolest atmospheres in the area. The inside decor and setup looks like it should be in a magazine. The outside patio is a great spot as well to hang with a group or sit and talk on a date night. Start with a caprese salad as it is a perfect take on this classic. Try the scallop carbonara as a lighter pasta option. The pork belly is a touch fatty with a nice compliment of flavors, but it is unimpressive compared with other options across the city. Sides are just ok. The polenta is bland, but fine mixed with the other flavors. The Brussel sprouts are a touch undercooked yet would be tasty with some additional time on the burner. The flourless torte is a great chocolate desert. Needless to say, I'm a fan of the start and the finish. All the cocktails we have had are worth repeating. I cannot remember names, but try a rye or tequila drink. On our last visit we waited almost 18 minutes before we finally flagged a waiter down to come to our table to get our drink order or tell us about the menu. They were obviously apologetic and ended up comping a desert. My final comments are regarding food allergies and intolerances. On our most recent visit we asked the waiter about gluten free items or items that could be made with out gluten. He gave us one item in response to our question and then started to sort through the menu with only two more listed, then saying there is a lot of gluten on the menu. It was a nice conversation but once we pressed we found there were a ton of gluten free options including most of the pastas and main dishes. I just assume he was busy because he knew much more as we asked questions. He failed to even mention pizza as an option although we knew the pizzas were an option based on a previous visit. I'd recommend they provide some additional training for the wait staff on the importance of knowing or at least explaining the menu when it comes to this stuff. I will try this location again when there is a music performance.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
