Pros: 1. Food was hot 2. Service was fast 3. Staff was friendly 4. Lobby was clean 5. Restrooms were clean Very quiet atmosphere with music from the overhead speakers. Cons: 1. none! Well if there was one complaint it would have to be the fact the employee's YELL "guest on the lot" every time a car comes into parking lot which does become annoying after the first 3 or 4 cars.

If you like good southern cooking with rich, country flavors, Wimpies is the place to go! Not only do they have the best fall-off-the-bone ribs you'll ever taste, but their pulled pork with handcrafted house BBQ sauce, burgers, and everything else on the menu will have you coming back for more. Great prices, hometown atmosphere, and the owners, David and Pam, do their best to make every visit a pleasure. I'd eat here every night if I could. They also cater!!!
My husband and I eat breakfast here pretty often when he is here working at the plant. This is my choice for a great breakfast. The only problem I can find with it is that they do not have tomato gravy to go with their biscuits. Other than that..... Great home cooked meals.
Country style home cooked food and its very Delicious. It is in an old building, sort of a nice dive/diner- lol but you get the idea. It adds to the country charm! The food is always good and very reasonable prices! The service is fantastic - as you'd expect very friendly country gals serving there and it's all good!

The best chicken 'n dumplings in the history of the world! ...but only served on Thursday nights so plan accordingly. This is a true family Southern style restaurant where everyone knows each other. You don't come here for fancy surroundings or classy ambiance. You come here to feed your soul with country home cookin' like grandma used to make. The fried chicken is ah-mazing too so be sure to getcha some of that finger licking goodness. Another surprising highlight of the buffet is the homemade coleslaw. It's true "southern slaw" that is sugar based and on the sweet side instead of a tangy vinegar base. But let's get back to those chicken 'n dumplings. Seriously, they are better than any I've ever had (even my mom's, shhh). Come give them a try; you can thank me later.
Great place if you like a country food. Its a little buffet restaurant in Soddy Daisy. It's 10.00 for a drink and all you can eat on the buffet. I love this place. Anytime I am in Soddy I always swing in there cause it's as close to home cooking as you will get. I would recommend it to anyone.
When i go home with my friend to Chattanooga, I want to eat here. It is a pig out fest of wonderful southern home cooking. I get a little jealous when she goes home, because I know she will get to eat this food. They always have several meats and all kinds of veggies. Some of my favorites off the buffet are chicken and dressing, fried chicken, fried catfish, pinto beans, mac and cheese and corn bread. The peach cobbler is also pretty spectacular. My friend and her family have been coming here for years. The waitresses are really friendly and always ask about her family. Its a really simple place that has some great southern food.

It's almost Spring and most downtown eateries were closed 2-5pm this Feb. 2015 So we decided to go back to Steve's Landing. I checked hours on Saturday. Wella! They were Open all afternoon. We beat the rush- yes a dinner rush came right in behind us at 4-5pm. Tables filled quickly. We had the Shrimp Bread again! Yummy and rich sauce. I had Big Fat Chicken Wings. 8 were more than I could eat. A nice sided salad. My friend had Catfish, Shrimp, Hush Puppies, Salad and more. Everything was great as usual. More than we could eat. The waitress and seating staff were lovely and welcoming. We enjoyed watching the TV monitors and just looking out at the LAKE. Casual Dress- Be ready to meet many Locals. Year after year a Favorite dining spot on the lake in Soddy Daisy Tennessee.
Had been wanting to try out this place since I read a review on Nooga.com . It was a beautiful day, no rain, low humidity, mid 80's...so the BF and doggie and I decided to go for a drive. This place is just what I imagined it to be...a little lakeside dive. Lots of patio seating that was full, so we sat inside. Still had a view of the lake so it was all good. It was busy but we got service pretty quick...scanned over the menu for drinks and lo and behold, they had Bartles & Jaymes listed. LOL. It's an inside joke from the movie Son-in-Law that just happened to be on TV the other day. Well, I had to oder a Fuzzy Navel. We ordered the onion rings and queso dip for apps. Queso dip was something unique...it had spinach in it. It was a different flavor but something I kinda dug. The onion rings came in a bucket and were hot and tasty and came with a horseradish kind of dipping sauce. I ordered the Steve's Special Burger...came with two cheeses, bbq sauce and all the usual burger stuff. It was a very good burger. Not dry, nice and juicy and very flavorful. BF ordered the catfish platter. Came with fries and coleslaw. He said the coleslaw tasted weird so I had to try it...and it did. Just had some mayo in it, not really mixed. Seemed like they forgot a few ingredients, like sugar and a touch of vinegar. He said the catfish was good. I'm not a catfish fan so I can't attest to that. The only hiccup was the service at the end...had to wait a long time to get the bill but the sever was very apologetic and we were in no hurry. Overall...this is a fun place to go. The desserts looked good but we were too full to try one.
This place is very loud. My Tuna was great, but the creamed spinach was more like cheese with a sprinkling of spinach. My wife liked the boiled shrimp, but her coleslaw tasted bad. I'd say give the place a try, but it wasn't my cup of tea.

Not the best Mexican ever, but when I am craving it, it hits the spot. The house margaritas are weak but the Texas style is good and potent. It helps that they are just down the street for me. Chips and salsa are good. That is my first two requirements - a decent margarita and good salsa/chips. I usually get their carnitas but other people with me have gotten other things and liked them. So give them a try!
This is a favorite Mexican place of mine. I like to bring the family here and we've been here a several times. As someone else mentioned, it is exactly what you'd expect of a Mexican restaurant in Tennessee. They have a variety of chicken, beef, and seafood dishes. There's a pretty extensive menu. A huge tilt toward typical Tex-mex, but they have a few "authentic" mexican dishes peppered in too. My favorite is the fajitas. I get them pretty frequently and they always come out sizzling. You will smell like a fajita for the rest of the day, so don't say I didn't warn you! Service is quick and the food is good for an inexpensive Mexican place located in a strip mall next to WalMart. There's nothing fancy about this place, but they must be doing something right. It's always busy at mealtimes on the weekends. I've even seen a line out the door. If you come here looking for good food fast, you'll have come to the right place.
Overcharge me every time

Flavor of Italy Italian Restaurant

Reviews:
Soon after moving to Soddy Daisy from the NY/NJ metro area, I tried this place. Now, when folks recommend it to me, I stay politely quiet. I even pretend I haven't tried it because I don't want to come off as a complete food snob. I am amazed what passes for "good, authentic" Italian food around here. Good quality food is fresh, flavorful and doesn't require copias amounts of food to take home. My dish of gnocchi included pieces of other cuts of pasta that obviously hadn't been strained out of the last batch the chef cooked .... or last several batches. Not a pretty sight on the plate. Had the pesto been good, I could have looked past that. But it wasn't. I hate to give one star to a local enterprenuer, but this could and should be so much better. Update: I've been contacted by ownership (who was quite understandably upset with my review). This person assumed I knew nothing of Italian food, it's preparation, etc. So I will clarify: I owned an upscale, Italian restaurant in the suberbs of NYC for nearly 20 years. I have traveled to Italy often (have family there). I make my own pesto from basil grown in my garden. So .... now that those cards are on the table, I intend, in all fairness, to make another trip to Flavors of Italy and try more of a variety of their dishes. Most places deserve a 2nd chance and I will be willing to eat humble pie (I have the recipe and have tasted it on several occasions!) and hopefully update this review more favorably. Also, I think from now on, I will include at least one redeeming feature in all my reviews ... even if "one star".
Delicious, authentic Italian food, where you'd never expect it. All their herbs are grown fresh. I've never been disappointed by a dish here. The specials change often, so you always have a chance to try something new. And the atmosphere: they make you feel right at home, partially because the restaurant is setup to look like a home, but also because they treat you like family just for stopping by. It's charming, clean, friendly, and delicious. Flavors of Italy is perfect whether you just want to enjoy a authentic Italian dinner (cooked by the genuine article, straight from Italy), or if you want to make an evening of it and relax with great friends and great food.
No flavor here. Very disappointing but in hindsight, what could we have expected in Soddy Daisy? We went here for the Monday night buffet at the suggestion of a friend who said the food was authentic. It's a little restaurant located in what looks like a home with tables in the living room and dining room. We were offered soup to which we accepted and we never received it. I had the ceasear salad dressing on my salad and there was no flavor. My husband had blue cheese which tasted watery. The rolls were very dense and it was served with olive oil with some seasonings which were probably so old and why they didn't have any taste. There were about 8 huge casserole aluminum tins with various dishes in addition to pizza and bruschetta. All of the samples from the buffet we tried were not hot, at best they were lukewarm. The eggplant lasagna tasted like buffalo chicken which was pretty odd. My husband had a slice of pizza which he felt tasted like something out of a box. There was not anything authentic here. Save your money and time and go to Olive Garden if you want boxed or frozen Italian food. At least its hot and has good flavor.
