We decided to check out Naked Fish last night, and were pleasantly surprised. The specialize in sushi, but also had several noodle and teriyaki dishes on the menu. They serve beer, wine, and sake. Prices were reasonable. 2-pc nigiri or 3-pc sashimi are about $3-5, rolls are about $7-10. We found coupons in one of those coupon books that come in the mail, though. We ordered seafood yakisoba that my husband loved. From the sushi menu, we had hamachi (yellowtail), a rainbow roll, and a candycane roll (spicy softshell crab with tuna and whitefish). All of them were very good. The servers were very friendly and helpful. Service was very quick. Our only complaint was that our drinks were empty for most of our meal - they finally came and offered to refill them when they brought us our check. That was minor, though. We enjoyed our meal, and we'll definitely be back! We're excited to find good sushi in Smyrna!

Was on my way out of town just now, and I was craving some sushi. A buddy from work told me about this place, and I'm SOO glad I stopped. I spoke with the owner, DC, for a split second and he welcomed me to the place. I got a rainbow roll, a california roll, and an order of edamame. I'll definitely be back.

They have an all you can eat sushi buffet. Best rolls in town. We come here often. Love it! There are coupons available also.

Came here for a quick solo lunch. I had extra thin octopus sashimi and a roll ( not on the buffet) ...can't remember what it was, but it was good. I will definitely go back! #nom

Excellent food for a good price. Great if you are into spicy sushi. Not much to look at but they put the time into making everything really well. We've been looking for good sushi since moving from California and we'll be back here many times to come.

Sushi is fresh, staff friendly. Definitely the best sushi in town. Have only been for dinner. The spicy tuna rolls are lovely.

I don't know why this place doesn't get more business. Prices are fantastic (with the exception of the vegetable tempura, which should be maybe $3-$4 instead of $5 for the size of the dish but is still delicious). Lunch specials are great deals and are delicious, and this is the best sushi I've found in the area and also happens to be the cheapest. Keep in mind we are a long ways from an ocean, it isn't the most high end ingredients, but it's a great local spot. Staff is friendly and not at all overbearing, but involved enough to make sure everything is good. I like this place a lot. We probably go weekly and it's never busy, always good food and service, and always easy on our wallet.

Great food, but the wait is a little ridiculous. Ordered 2 orders of Garlic Edamame TO GO and waited at least 30 minutes at the counter to get the food. When they finally brought it out, it seemed like they had either given someone our food by mistake or only had one cook. The sushi (dragon roll, spicy tuna, and crunch roll) was great but with a wait that long, it seems a little much.

Terrible service. Sushi is great, when they have it. Management sucks. At least that's my past 2 experiences at lunch . Plan an hour or more ahead.

If I could give NO STARS I would. We order iced tea & asked for sweetener & lemons- the waitress comes out with 1 Sweet n Low unopened & another Half-opened Sweet n Low and says will this work. Umm NO! THEN, we ask if the Sushi is made with real crab or surimi crab (since my husband has a shell fish allergy) and the waitress couldn't tell us so she sends my husband to talk to the chef who made the sushi. All the chef would say "it not shrimp". HE didn't even know what imitation vs. real crab was!!! WOW! What a POORLY run establishment! We will NEVER be back there not would we recommend this place!

Every time we've visited Naked Fish the place is always clean, the service prompt and the food delicious. They are not what I would call a "gourmet" sushi place like Sushi Me with monstrous rolls piled will high end ingredients but they are a great local spot for a yummy eel roll or California roll. They do have signature rolls which are quite good, just not quite up to par with the high end locations. The crab puff appetizers are great but the miso is a bit watered. I like to get a classic roll and an order for the teriyaki mushrooms, which are amazing. The "spicy" rolls already have a bit of a kick to them, so I recommend trying them first before you dig into the wasabi. Their lunch buffet is awesome with a good selection of rolls and sashimi as well as teriyaki dish, salads, soup and rice. A great deal for the money.

My husband and I love having date nights at the Naked Fish! The sushi is so great! They have so many options of different types of sushi on their menu- we always want to try something new! Also if you are not a seafood lover they have some delicios chicken teryaki and fried rice. If you are new to sushi their lunch buffet is a great way to try some new kinds. Not to mention its a great price for all the food you can get. They also have things like miso soup, the ginger salad, edamame, pot stickers and fried rice on the buffet. Whenever any of my friends come in town this is the first place I take them. The people who work there are very friendly and its a great atmosphere!! Not to mention they have big TV's and WiFi!

I had the buffet. It was 9.99 The sushi was pretty average....maybe slightly above average...and certainly better than sushi from a china buffet. Service was decent..the restaurant was clean I think it was a pretty good value overall.

This is My 3 yr olds favorite restaurant by far!! My biggest mistake was letting him try my dynamite appetizer, that lead to the yum yum roll and now he is hooked. Anytime we have a dining choice the boys want "Naked Fish". Best sushi in MID TN. Ask DC to do a Saki bomb with you will you are there.

I've been here a few times now and i've come to realize that the food is generally not bad. The sushi is average, or maybe above average for the area. The lunch buffet isn't much to write home about, but it's the only one in town. The fried rice on the buffet is actualyl really good. I enjoy that. The service is understaffed and they run one or two people ragged trying to keep up with all the guests.

They are not open 7 days a week as advertised. I drove all the way out to the place only to find it was closed on Sundays. The hours were even on the door for Sundays 11-2:30

I have eaten the lunch buffet a couple of times at this place. For the price it is very good. I would say that it is as good as other all you can eat sushi places. The servers have always been nice. The place is clean. I think they have some great sushi options.

When I went there my wife and I got the buffet (all u can eat sushi for $9.99). The sushi was very average, but for $9.99 all u can eat it was good. The major problem for me was the fake soy sauce (very watered down, to the point where it was water with a hint of soy sauce). I asked the waitress and she told me it was a "special blend" they make themselves. For those who don't know the secret ingredient is WATER and a lot of it. I did not enjoy the sushi because of this problem. When I asked for normal soy sauce they told me they did not have any. Really??!! no real soy sauce in a japanese restaurant. I might go back but I will definately have my own soy sauce with me.
