Well I ate here around the Grand opening. I was not satisfied with anything. Service was very slow. The employees were more concerned about the World Cup, then taking our drink orders. The salsa was soupy. My taco salad was about the same as Taco Bells. They never brought my check so I had to go to the bar and tell them everything I ordered. It was kind of a trainwreck. Maybe I'l give it a 2nd chance considering it was the final game of the World Cup+ grand opening. My first visit was'nt the greatest at all.

Pretty good taco fajita salad. Average mexican restaurant.

If you enjoy being ignored then this is the place for you. We were seated - ignored for 10 minutes - ordered drinks - waited another 10 minutes for the drinks - then ordered - waited 20 minutes for the food - that was then delivered one item a a time to the table.- then waited 10 minutes for the bill and some-one to take the payment. The food itself is OK but nothing to write home about. The owner should consider hiring someone with a high school diploma that is worried about making money and not teenagers that are worried about socializing. It felt like we were intruding on a party instead of at a restaurant.

I've been here twice for lunch. Good food. Love the fresh guacamole made at table side. I've ordered #4 lunch and then the chicken fajitas. Both good. Service is good. The patio seating is a nice touch. This place could stand a little PR. The only reason I knew about it is because a friend recommended it and he lives on the same road as this restaurant. Its signage is practically non-existent from the road.

Run by teenagers. Orders go in from tables, but return in a lottery fashion to individuals all over the room. Utter chaos. Teen staff sneeze into their hands, play with their hair, wipe their noses with their hands and carry on. Gross. Unsupervised and frenetic. Avoid.

We have been here twice now and both experiences were great. Yesterday we enjoyed too shelf margaritas (yum!), salsa (ask for the homemade hot stuff!), queso, guacamole and split the mocajete. All were delicious and fresh. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive also. As a bonus - my husband left his wallet there and they have it safe and sound today, phew!

If I could give 0 stars I would but, since the server tried her best they get 1. Well well what to say about Mi Tierra, let's see. They should change their name to "Mi Basura." When your table is one of the only in the place for the majority of the time and you see the "manager" standing by the bar chit chatting something is up. Then they start putting the chairs on the tables with over an hour left until they close, hmmm. So taking that the food was just okay, nothing to brag about. Burnt peppers that were obviously deep fried to save time, cold rice, and super watery tacos (glad they were only 1$) just make the list of what's wrong with the food. The service was confusing and disorganized, they had multiple people that could've been helping but again the bar seemed to be a nice place to hang out. It was our friends party and to say the least they didn't make us feel welcome, especially when the manager had to apologize for something his server messed up. Let's see, come over and make us figure out how she rang up and divided the tickets wrong. Taking that this guy was no where to be seen when she was in the weeds. Good call man. You deserve a raise and a lesson in management skills. But hey it is just a table with probably your most sales of the night. Good luck to them, because after this embarrassing experience, I will not be back. Take it from me and my friends, go elsewhere. Oh and if the server reads this, get a new job. I would hate to work for that so called manager.

Very tasty, very friendly, and made a great margarita... what else can you ask for?

I hate to pile on, but with just a little more effort things could have been so much better. There seemed to be a Manager present, very unprofessionally dressed and didn't seem to be Managing much except his next meal I noticed he took in the back of the place. The waitress was trying hard but not getting much cooperation from the Kitchen. Only special request I had was for some refried beans with cheese on top. It came out plain. We were told the kitchen didn't like to put cheese on it. A few other mishaps, but I don't want to be mean spirited about it. I had a Taco Salad that had melted Queso rather than real cheese. Would have liked to have the option, on the Nachos as well.

The Enchiladas Verde was good, not great, but better than I expected. Service was great. Overall experience will bring me back to try a few other items on the menu.

One word describes this experience, underwhelming. The salsa, the queso fundido, and the chili verde were all watered down and soupy. The spinach and cheese flautas tasted like they used canned spinach. Everything was very bland and washed out. The top shelf margaritas were good, the chips were crispy and the server was friendly and prompt, but the food left very much to be desired. There are plenty of other near by places for food that would be a much better option. Sadly this would include the Shell gas station when it comes to flavorful food..

I worked for Arturo (the owner) roughly two years ago for literally two weeks as a karaoke host on Saturday nights. We agreed to $100 and each night he told me he could only pay me not even half of that and I left with barely enough to cover the gas cost. He then proceeded to leave a one star review on my business page after I called him out on it that seemed like a toddler typed it. The food is mediocre at best. My wife and I had a Groupon they refused to acknowledge. I will never set foot in this dump again.

If I could give 0 stars I would! We went at an odd time, late afternoon, but we stumbled onto "The Lord of the Flies" set because NOBODY was in charge! . The only workers were young people, maybe even high schoolers. We were subjected to their "I got laid" stories, maybe even talking about the bathroom at the restaurant! They were outrageously obnoxious & gross! I watched them take a selfie while one man performed an inappropriate act on another man, with his hand from behind! I should not be forced to watch someone's PDA! No matter what time we go to LaSiesta, they are professional and awesome! Never going back!

If I could put 0 stars, I would. The service was incredibly slow. We were there a full hour for lunch which was terrible and waited 20 minutes before we got our drinks (water!). The worst part? I gave a 15% tip, but when I got my credit card statement, they had added a dollar to the total! Will never go back.

I really don't understand why people go here, there are so many better Mexican restaurants around. I had a really bad experience here & will never go again. We had a party of 6, the service was awful, the food was not as described on the menu & the owner was rude & presumptuous. Try Joselito's or Los Arcos instead for a great experience.

I wish they would have brought the chips and salsa before we ordered as we probably would have left on the basis of the stale chips and absurdly bland salsa. My friend described it as the worst mexican food he's ever had, and I'm not sure I can disagree. I got the chicken fajita nachos, and I'm pretty sure the chicken was completely unseasoned. They must have had some kind of newfangled flavor extractor in the kitchen as I'm not sure how else you can make food so bland. On the plus side, the place is clean and our server was nice enough.

The chicken tacos are very good. The beef tacos were okay. The prices are also resonable.

Floor was filthy with chips, etc.; container of salsa felt dirty when you picked it up to pour in the bowl; server had gauges in her ears (sorry, but that makes me sick). Could not finish my food - just felt like the whole restaurant was not clean.

Been quite a few times. Love the guacamole. Lately the food has been really good. In the past we've been disappointed. I will go again.

The food is always delicious. Their homemade guacamole is the best in town. They have bingo every Wednesday night at 6:30pm and trivia every Thursday night at 6:30pm. Those are the BEST times to go! Make sure you get there a little early. I gets packed and they get extremely busy. I just wish they had more seating! ;)

We came here with some locals who love the place. We were seated at a table whose chairs didn't quite fit. I was left sticking out uncomfortably into the aisle. We heard the table side guacamole was excellent so ordered that as an app. We got quite possibly the most surly girl table side. She didn't smile and didn't even pretend to like her job. She in fact, acted disgusted. Maybe she drew the short straw and was made to do the table side guac as punishment. Who knows, but she lost Mi Tierra a star. The guac was actually really good. We were brought plenty of warm chips to dip and also a "mild" salsa that was too spicy. I ordered the shrimp fajitas, which, of course, didn't come with enough tortillas. The dish was just OK, maybe too dry. My husband said his dish was really good- something with a yummy green sauce that I didn't try. Service was pretty slow- empty water glasses and food that was taking WAY too long. Other than that the meal was fine. It does seem that bad service is the norm for most Mexican restaurants I've been too. Why is that?

This place was a groupon special, and thank goodness it was. The food was mediocre at best, margaritas weak and completely overpriced, and the servers were all high school/ college freshman age. It must have been pay day today because there was a parade of young people in and out of uniform congesting the small space, hanging out, yelling back and forth and carrying on together. It was a disappointing experience.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
