The food is always consistent and tasteful. They seem to have a high turnover rate among the wait staff. The manager is always present and smiling. The waitress I had 2 days ago was super friendly and knowledgeable. I did try their new spinach crusted parmesean with my steak...I sent it back and got my ever faithful sweet potato

I chose this Longhorn because the Yelp reviews were ok compared to other restaurants in the area. I travel here 3-4 times a year and need somewhere reliable to find Gluten free dinner. The waitress was aware and helpful, which was nice. The food has been safe so far. My entree was a filet and lobster tail. I always eat the lobster first before it cools, but it looked off and smelled so I immediately sent it back and asked for grilled shrimp. When I cut into my steak, it was barely rare and I had asked for medium rare. Again, sent it back and they graciously re-fired it all to come out together. GM stopped by and apologizes, and waitress was very gracious. Bottom line, kitchen screwed up and needs attention. Service was above expectations. On the plus side, I had a great...ok, two great Martinis during happy hour, so all is well. Very nicely shaken with hand stuffed blue cheese olives. It makes up for the entree.

Just left here. Waited 15 minutes, half the tables were open, so there's no excuse for not being waited on. We are usually good customers to Longhorn but no more. Two tables that were seated after us already had their drinks and bread and were placing their orders. Rotten service.

Went about a year ago, sorry for the late review. I was very disappointed. Our service was not good and our steaks were overseasoned. When talking to our waitress about it, she said to scrape off the seasoning!! Nothing else was offered!! My medium rare steak was rare and the waitress offered to cook it more, but after doing so, it did not taste that great. We came in with 4 people all together and that was the worst $120 I had spent on food in a long time. Hope by now things have changed

Typical longhorn steak house - there is something to be said about chains - everything is the same - the faces change - but that's a good thing - I don't have to guess with the menu - service was excellent

My boyfriend and I used to come dine in at this Longhorn's, until we had an absolutely awful experience one night when it was packed and understaffed, and all of the wait staff was messing around as it was very clear there was no management present. We were seated in the very back, and for some odd reason the wait staff on break or whatever decided to make their own table next to us and very loudly enjoy themselves. Anyways, since that experience, we have only ordered to-go from here. The reason I am rating four stars is because every single to-go order we have placed with them has been executed perfectly--unlike the last time we dined in, everything has been cooked properly, has come out in a VERY timely manner, has been absolutely delicious and I have loved it. One night, we forgot they closed at 10 instead of 11, and though my boyfriend ordered our food at 9:50, they still completed our 15-20 minute order for us (we order a lot when we get food at Longhorn's.) That was very awesome of them and most definitely makes up for that one lackluster dine-in experience we had. Definitely recommend this location.

For the second time in a row, we went to this Longhorn and had bad service. The specific issues are below: They didn't seat us correctly (missing a chair and silverware) and didn't bring them for several minutes. We had to specifically ask a manager. We didn't have a server. A guy came over and said something to the effect of "I'll be your server until some one else picks you up." but we had already looked at the menu and decided everything, so we placed our order. Drinks took several minutes to come out, and the mixed drinks from the bar took 10 minutes from the time we ordered them. Some one in our party ordered Tilapia, and they came back and said that they were out 5 min later. She asked to substitute the salmon. They said yes, but then came back and said that they would charge her extra for getting the salmon in her dish. This was quite insulting. Several of us got Caeser salads, and none of them had any croutons. A Caeser salad only has a few ingredients, and croutons is one of them. Missing those was pretty lame. The food seemed to take a very long time to finally come out. Once the food arrived, it was good. Normally I would give them the bennefit of the doubt of a busy night and being short on staff, but this was the second time in a row that we went to the same restaurant and had bad service. I don't think we'll be back.

Slow, mediocre, and unremarkable. The value is poor and the drinks badly made most of the time. If you ask for anything special to be done to your meal such as no croutons, expect it to be forgotten.

I'm sticking with the two stars...my wife and I decided to give it a go again. And what a surprise...same ole Longhorn. Service is atrocious, we were told they ran out of prime rib only to see four go out after we ordered. Our server was horrible as well. We were not given bread and our appetizer came out with our meals. I guess the main focus is on the large parties as I saw our waitress take the dessert order for the table next to us and actually bring that our before our first refill. I'm not a fan anymore. I'll just make the drive to Murfreesboro from now on until this franchise learns to respect all customers.

Prices are up & service is down. Not a combo you want in the restaurant business, there's always someone to take your place. 5:30 on Saturday & we were seated right away. That's where the good service ended. 20 min later no one had returned to introduce themselves or take our drink order. The people who sat down 5 min after us had the girl arrive and take their drink order. She saw me looking at her & gave me an unpleasant 'what are looking at' stare, but didn't bother to come over & ask us if we've been helped. It appeared we were in the section where the waitress had one big group. Really? I don't care. Work it out before you sit people down! Don't leave customers sitting there with squat. We are about to drop $80 + to eat here. So we ended up with a server who was working another section entirely. So I'm not going to fault him for disappearing on us. It just highlighted the rather sucky experience of the whole evening. I ordered prime rib & get this, they were OUT! 6pm on Saturday & they were out. Seemed there was poor planing all around. Then the server disappeared for another 15 min while I 'thought about what I wanted'. I knew after 2 min. But since he was nowhere to be found, I couldn't signal him over. Meanwhile I have two hungry children practically gnawing on the empty breadbasket. The only positive in this experience was that the steak was super delicious. The two stars are only given because of the steak. They've raised there prices, so I don't think that we'll be returning. It's a shame cause I used to like it

This steakhouse is the best in middle tennessee, it's even better than the one in Murfreesboro. The staff is so nice, the food was over my expectations. The steak was just right cooked and as I asked for it. They also made the steak sauce on our table with fresh rose Mary and herbs

This was our first time here, the service and food could not have been better. You should try the Flo's filet with the lobster tail. I can also recommend the parmesan asparagus appetizer and the peach sangria.

Had an excellent meal there this past Sunday. Food was as good as the picture, table was roomy for a party of nine. I really liked that the dinning area was not crowded with tables. It made a difference to me. The staff was great. I highly recommend you give it a try. The steak was ooh,la,la!

I want to touch on different areas that the management and service staff are involved in at this location. This review isn't to ridicule anyone, but it's the exact opposite. For many years I have been a loyal Outback customer because of how they treat customers and how Longhorn never seemed to get anything right in that aspect. My first visit to Longhorn in Smyrna was a few days after it had opened to the public. When I walked in my wife and I was greeted by kind and friendly people. We were taken to our seats and our server was at our table greeting us and handing us bread with in seconds. We ordered steaks with mine being medium rare and hers medium well. The food came out really quickly and both steaks were medium well. This was my first experience with manager Katie. She apologized that the food wasn't cooked correctly and she provided the meal for free even when I pushed back and said that wouldn't be necessary. I fully understand that getting an overcooked steak was possible because it is a new restaurant with new cooks. When my re-order came back out it was perfect. Katie stopped by to make sure that it was how I wanted it and that I was happy with my experience at Longhorn. After that first experience I have been back many times to this Longhorn location and each time the customer experience that the staff offers is always beyond my expectations. I can't say the same for the Murfreesboro location, but that's a story for another time. I would like to take some time to talk about Katie and Hailey. Katie and Hailey have been truly outstanding. I think that they are the champions of customer service and leadership for you. I work in customer service doing tech support and with my over 8 years of experience I know what it takes to really "WOW" a customer. Both Katie and Hailey are able to do this in all customer interactions they have. I have seen them talk to other customers and on every interaction that I have noticed they provide the same top notch customer service to them as they did another customer. Some times when I come in, Hailey is serving. I'm always excited to set at her table because it's a guarantee that I'm going to get the best service possible. The other servers are great also, but it's really hard for them to compete with Hailey. Hailey is always thoughtful of the customer and what they need. She's always on time for refills and new bread when it's needed. I hope that Hailey has plans to become a full time manager at a Longhorn location, because Longhorn will really benefit from her leadership skills. Katie has proven to be outstanding not only to customers but to service staff as well. Any time that I say Katie's name my server will make a comment on how awesome she is and how they love working for Longhorn due to her. It's very important for any business to have supervisors that the staff is able to get a long with and enjoy working for them. Having a positive attitude really reflects in service given and you can feel how positive everyone is when you first walk in. In closing, I no longer visit Outback, because of how well the service is at the Smyrna location. They have truly distinguish themselves from the competition in customer service and leadership.

We visited Longhorn steakhouse after the movies yesterday and it was great. Everything was nice and clean. The service was out of this world. This is by far the best longhorn that I have visited.
