The apple barn has always been a staple for me when I think of pigeon forge. Ever since I was a little kid my parents couldn't get away with a trip to the smokies with out me asking if we were going to the apple barn...and I still love it! Especially now when a few years ago I realized they had a winery too! But besides that the whole area is just cute. Like its own tiny little town. Two restaurants, Apple everything gift shop, apple desserts, apple pie, apple turnovers, and apple cider. There's an ice cream parlor with (of course) apple ice cream, among every other flavor you can think of. Then don't forget to sample some Apple wine (pretty sure they have other wines too.) From the apple orchards to the old timey feel - it's just precious. Especially in the fall...and I'm not sure why- maybe it's that there's nothing more southern in the fall than sitting on a porch with a piece of hot apple pie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Everything apple that you could ever imagine. I'm not sure if that Christmas store was part of this store but I really liked the Christmas store. They had some really cute ornaments and decorations. The apple store had lots of delicious looking treats. I had a apple slushie that was different but good. Wish I would of saved room for dessert!

Wife and I stopped for some apply pie and ice cream. Rated it 3 stars because what we got was apple cobbler when I was looking forward to apple pie. They cut you a piece and microwave it then put a nice big scoop of ice cream on it. Was very good still but not what I remember last time I came.

Handmade ice cream we sampled several flavors. Really smooth and creamy. Fresh basked apple walnut bread. Warm apple cobbler with cinnamon ice cream.

A little difficult to rate since we only had a couple of items. Surprising, I did not try the ice cream. The bakery has LOTS of cake/breads such as pumpkin, apple cinnamon, blackberry, as well as cookies and mini muffins. BLACK RASPBERRY COBBLER BREAD: Very good. Moist, dense, rich black raspberry flavors with a touch of cobbler crumb type topping. The only thing I didn't like was the seeds in the bread, but the flavor makes up for that. CRANBERRY OATMEAL WALNUT COOKIES: Excellent. Slightly chewy, and perfect combo of flavors and spices.
