Love the lemongrass soup and pad Thai and drunken noodles with chicken MEDIUM. The Peggie rolls are very tasty as well. Very tasty and always fresh. Lunch is very reasonably priced! There is usually a good local crowd for lunch.

A welcome, welcome change to the traditional Tennessee food, and it was delicious! The owners were beyond friendly, really made us feel welcome. We had green curry and drunken noodles, with mango and sticky rice for dessert. On par with Thai I've had in Chicago and other major cities. Very fresh, a ton of flavor, and quite memorable. Had we stayed another day, a repeat visit would've been in order!

Drove 20 minutes to get there because we wanted to eat some spicy Asian food. Not disappointed at all. We have tried Thai all over and this was one of the very best. The place was full. Upon entering, it took us a few minutes to get noticed and seated. The place was full and that might have caused the lapses in service. The food took a while to arrive but that probably implied that the preparation was fresh. The portions were appropriate but would have liked to have about 10% more for the price. The flavors were perfect. Overall, great experience and taste. Wish this was closer to our home (in IL)

We were in a rush and weren't able to sit around and enjoy our meal, but I'd have to say it was pretty good! We got their fried tofu appetizer and veggie panang curry. We asked for Thai Hot, it was maybe a 7 on a 1-10 scale. But the flavor was there. We both shared the meal and it was the perfect amount! I'll be back in October to enjoy your food again.

I've eaten here several years in a row during an annual trip. It's very good and a nice change from the normal food in the area. All my meals have been well made and the service spot on.

I'm so sad that this place isn't closer to home. I found this gem on Yelp and decided to try it out. I must say....it was GREAT! Everything from the service, to the food was excellent. The ambiance is a bit lacking. It sits in a strip mall, and feels like a strip mall eatery. I think they could spice the place up a bit to give it more character and really take this place over the top. But hey, I go to a restaurant to eat, not to stare at knick knacks, so it gets the 5 star salute! If you are from Indy, I'd compare this place to the likes of Siam Square or Thai Taste which are probably the top Thai places in Indianapolis. If you are from Sevierville, I'm not sure how to compare this place, but I'll just say that if you have places equal or better than Thai Basil...you should never, ever move away. :)

Coming from New York and Chicago, I am spoiled by good Thai food. After being in Pigeon Forge for the better part of the week, I was ready for some authentic Asian food. In short, this hit the spot. I started with the shrimp spring rolls and was curious about the ginger sauce from reading it on the menu. It's not the standard peanut hoisin sauce that typically comes with this but it was a different take. Be prepared for a kicking sauce! Not spicy but certainly gingery. Also the spring rolls used iceberg lettuce instead of the romaine that is typically used in these. Different than what I expected but still good. I ordered mama's drunken noodles and was pleased with presentation and taste. Spicy but loved the mix of vegetables, noodles, eggs, etc. The noodles used look like Ramen noodle bit aren't. These are nice and soft, not mushy. The only thing I didn't like was the dish being a little oily / greasy. Otherwise I liked them. Service was very pleasant and the owner recognized my family and I were from out of town and took the time to say hello and make sure everything ok. Very welcoming! I'll definitely be back if we come back to Tennessee!

We saw great reviews and decided to try it out. Great decision. Even on a Friday night the service was fantastic. Even both owners came out to say hello and make sure all was well. The food was excellent and it was very quick.

The best Thai in the area. We come to the area every year for a ministry conference and have to come here at least two or three times. Try the basil fried rice or drunken noodles, both are excellent. All of the curries we have tried are delicious. The service is top notch.

On the way home from Elkmont campsite, my family of four was incredibly nourished by an exquisite array of Thai food for lunch. The best ever! Said my daughter. The lunch, being vegetarian, was very flexible with lots of tasty varieties and flavorful dishes. The service was first class the price was very reasonable and we're delighted. The only problem its 5 hours from our house or we would there frequently.

Let me start by saying my bar for Thai food is very high. Nice place tucked back in a strip mall that we almost couldn't find. Spring roll was ok, nice app to start the meal. I am in constant search for the best spring roll, but I would try a different app next time. Drunken noodles were one of the better ones I have had, flavor was on the mark. Pad Thai was a disappointment although I had high hopes after tasting the drunken noodles. Sauce and flavor just seemed off from what I have ever had before. It wasn't bad just not to my liking. It was a nice change from steakhouse burgers or bbq. I would probably try something other than the pad Thai if i went back. Staff is very quick, friendly, and the place is very clean. Probably the best Thai in the town, but I have had Thai everywhere we go so this is not in the top 5 for me.

Who goes to Thai food in Tennessee, especially being from Las Vegas?? We did! We were getting sick of the fried food and wanted a little change. This place ranked right up there with one of the best and famous Thai restaurants I've ever been to! We ordered the classics...Pad Thai, Basil Sauce and Drunken Noodles. They were perfect!! Also ordered Fried Ice Cream with Fried Banana Rolls. Yum! Wonderful service as well!

Great food! I don't know where the other reviewer that gave it 3 stars had better, if he did he did not review it.

We were really happy to know that an authentic Thai Restaurant was close to Piegon Forge TN. Thai Basil is located in Sevierville, TN and it's pretty much the next town over so driving there wasn't too far. We ordered the standard dishes, pad see ew, pad Thai, drunken noodles and I had panang curry with chicken. All of the dishes tasted good. We liked the drunken noodles the best I felt they did a great job with the stir fried thinner noodles and the pad see ew was just like back at home in Chicago, sweet and delicious the way I love it. I liked my panang curry with Chicken just wished they had more than just chicken and a few broccoli pieaces in the dish like bell peppers too. Their prices are fair for being only game in town for some Asian cuisines. We enjoyed an Thai meal after eating so much Southern Cuisines. The manager was very hospitable which we always like to see when we visit a New restaurant for the first time. When you walk in you see a clean and calm dining area with customers who like diversity and wan to eat foods outside of fried chicken and biscuits. You can only have so much of fried chicken and biscuits before you crave rice and stir fried entrees. I hope this place sticks around for a long time these people need a good Authentic Thai restaurant to make live there interesting and diverse.

I am a big Thai food fan. This place is very nice. Good food. And they are very helpful to first-time Thai food guest. Staff is super friendly and the menu is very easy to understand for new-to-Thai-cuisine.

Eating out with Celiac is always a "cross your fingers" ordeal. My worries were gone when I spoke to the owner and she said that she personally makes a gluten free sauce for us (herself included). The rainbow I had was delicious. My husband had the regular version and loved it. Definitely a great find. We will be back!

  • Nina M.

Dined once, based on reviews. Went back again, and if we were staying in Sevierville for any more days, we would have continued to return. Delicious and authentic.

  • Bryan M.

My wife and I favor Thai food the most and this is a location we will come back to. Great food. My wife had the Drunken Noodles with Chicken and I had the Basil Fried rice with Chicken. The flavoring between them were almost identical with just the noodle / rice different. The medium heat is pretty spicy. The service was very friendly

  • Kim T.

Thia Basil is a little gem tucked away in a cozy spot. I have tried most every thing on the menu and it's all really good. The Desert Menu offered Black Rice and Custard. I had never heard of Black Rice. Tried it and now Im addicted to Black Rice and Custard. Perfect anytime but especially on a Cold Winters Night.

  • Allyson H.

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. We enjoy Thai food and learned, personally, that it's one of the best. The service is very friendly and helpful as well as the owners. Always a great date-night!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Sevier County. Healthy, delicious Thai food served by a quality staff. If you have never had Thai before, come here to give it a try. They give clear descriptions of unfamiliar items, and alter the spice level to your liking. If you already are a lover of the Thai, come here because it will meet or exceed your expectations. All of the curries are wonderful. I am particularly addicted to the Massaman, and often order it with extra avocados. The Pad Thai is also a favorite in our household. Tofu and meats are always perfectly cooked. I can also recommend the Coco soup (a little spicy) Thai Basil Rolls, Tiger Tears beef, and the cheesy (crab Rangoon-like) rolls. I enjoyed my first meal so much that I returned the next day, and then ordered to-go the following day. By that time, Gin, the fantastic server, remembered me. I always substitute delicious brown rice for white. It tastes so much better, and is healthy. It is very easy to eat vegetarian or vegan, and they even have gluten-free offerings. This restaurant is located in the Staples plaza, in between Sevierville & the I-40, on the right if you are driving towards the Smoky Mountains.

If you like Thai, this place holds true to authenticity. Very delicious and friendly staff. Good variety of food with some specialty dishes prepared by house chef. Ambiance is quaint, could use updating. Location is subpar. Worth a try if your in the area.

Thier food is amazing. The outside might look a little odd, but it is a hidden GEM. We just had to come back two nights in a row. I'm so glad we try it. All food is extremely well prepared. The waiting staff is quick and friendly. With a beautiful atmosphere. A shame I don't live closer! Perhaps good for my wallet. Thier prices are resonable but it still adds up. BELIEVE ME YOU MUST COME HERE! If you love spice, be prepared to add a lot. Nothing has Givin me that spicy bite I love so. Otherwise, perfect place to go!

    (5)
  • Amit B.

Good food. We did a takeout and ordered few dish of varying spice level. Normal for kids and hot for us. Hot was not very spicy so you can order extra hot sauce if you like the food spicy. Place is small and not very fancy. Portion size is not big,we were expecting a bit more for dinner.

  • Kate C.

Never expected to find great Thai in Tennessee, but trusted the reviews. Delicious and great service. Garlic pork, Rama curry, Drunken noodles...all fantastic. Rama was not too heavy on the peanut butter as I've found at other Thai restaurants. Pork beautifully seasoned and seared. Got sweet and sour chicken for the kids and the reading was very light and chicken was high quality. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

  • Derrick B.

There are few restaurants which are consistently great. This one, in the couple years at least once a week has been great. It's a very chill place with decent seating or get it for take out. The drunken noodles and Pad see ew are my usuals but everything I've tried including the Thai tea is excellent and the staff is always helpful and very nice. If you like Thai, I think you'll really enjoy your meal here.

  • Jeff C.

First time here. Not disappointed but not quite blown away. Clean environment. Attentive, friendly service. Spring rolls were good. My cashew chicken was a "safe" kind of good. Got it Thai spicy (the menu posted a warning to reconsider) but I found it wasn't as hot as other Thai I have had. However, it had an ample amount of cashews which is usually lacking at other places. I was disappointed that the rice was plain white steamed, not jasmine rice. Wife & son had medium spicy chicken fried rice. They enjoyed. I found the flavor of their dishes to be every bit as good as mine. Although this was our first visit, this had the feel of a consistent, sure-bet spot. We'll be back if we're in the area again.

Fabulous Thai restaurant in the Smokies! We were in town for an RV show at the convention center just down the road, and a morning of walking around looking at hundreds or RV's will make a man hungry! I followed Yelp to this place, and it was SOOOO good! To start with, our server was awesome...just super friendly and very helpful with navigating the menu and making choices. I don't remember her name but she was from Lithuania, and she was just great. Then the food came, and we were in Thai heaven...would that be nirvana? Whatever it's called, we were there. We tried a curry (green), a soft shell crab dish, and a special (spicy pork salad), and they were all amazing. Perfect spiciness, tons of flavor, and great presentation. We ate every last bit and had no leftovers. I can't recommend this place enough...do it!

Delicious food. Great service. Best of all completely affordable! On Spring break and wanted Thai but thought there was no way we would find a restaurant. We were so wrong! I think we will go back tomorrow for lunch!! ;)

  • Donna R.

We were there June 2015 for early lunch and everything was homemade, fresh and staff was knowledgable of the menu . We had one gluten free guest and one vegan and they were able to accommodate both requests.

  • Corinna S.

Best Thai I've had in TN this far! The red curry was done perfect with the right amount of sweet, spicy, and creamy. The fresh spring rolls and sauce were very good as well! The good was also served very quickly and had good service! Will be visiting before we head out if town.

    (5)
  • Lu W.

It's very expensive. We have 4 people to east here, we spent 80 dollars, and we did not full. The quantity are really small. Do not recommend!

    (3)
  • Nisha S.

Place is great. It's not touristy or commercial Thai. Their mango sticky rice is a good way to end the meal. I get the Thai fried rice, but others in my party have gotten curries to drunken noodles, even the Thai iced tea is good. Consistently delivers a great meal, and prices are more then reasonable. If they are slammed service will be a little slow, remember it's cooked to order, not reheated pre cooked commercial food.

    (4)
  • Kim R.

Excellent food. A great place to escape the crowds in town. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone

  • Amanda C.

Delicious! We came in for dinner ordered both the rainbow stirfry with chicken medium with brown rice and drunken noodles with chicken medium to split between the two of us. Plenty of food for both for dinner with a to go box to take home for one to have lunch the next day. Service was super speedy to be seated and get drinks/menus as well as our food. Vegetables were not overcooked which is a nice change when eating out. This will be a favorite for me visiting Pigeon Forge going forward and I will tell others to go try it definitely for sure!

Exceptional food. Great service and all at a reasonable price. Will definitely dine here again next time we are in town

First check in but been here before. Great for lunch. Entree and app for 7.99. Food us really good. Can get from mild to Thai hot, which is crazy hot. I got hot and it's plenty. Pad Thai really good and she got drunken noodles. Also had shrimp wonton soup. Really good homemade wonton and broth. I highly recommend trying it out

  • Diana D.

The restaurant was really busy the night that we went. So the service was a little slow..but the waitresses were hustling. But the food was well worth the wait!!!!

  • AJ S.

Awesome food! And they have vegetarian options, which is great. And don't forget to try the coconut ice-cream served in an actual coconut! Yum!

  • Cheryl B.

Great to see a local restaurant (not a chain) with very fresh food in the area. It is tucked into a strip mall but don't let that discourage you. Some of the best drunken noodles I have had and you can select your spicy level-which we really love!

    (5)
  • Ian F.

The service was EXCEPTIONAL and the food was excellent. After my recent trip to Thailand I was skeptical how authentic the food would be......I was pleasantly surprised and pleased and.how authentic and tasty it was! Even better...its close to home! I suggest the Tom Yum soup and drunken noodles!

    (4)
  • Henry T.

Really impressed with this place. The service was great...the best we have seen from any Asian restaurant. The food was awesome with the real Thai kick in it. The Tom Yum was spicy and flavorful. Thai Fried rice was great. We will come back if we happen to be back in the Smokies.

    (5)
  • Karen M.

Great place! We came in at 8:30 pm, five of us hungry and tired from traveling all day. The food was very good--no MSG, gluten-free options available, very tasty! The waitress was patient and very helpful. We're from Boston and I was surprised to find such good Thai food tucked away in a strip mall in TN.

  • Fat W.

In Seviervill for a trade show when w happened by this place. The food was GREAT!!! The people were friendly and the place was clean. You can order levels of Heat to be added, since I am a wuss I went with the Mild Ginger Stir Fry (beef), it was AMAZING. My coworker had the Drunken Noodle which I tasted and after he tasted mine we looked at each other and said "couldn't have gone wrong with either" We split the Basil Rolls as a appetizer and they too were very good. We also split their Black Sticky Rice for desert and it was the perfect end to a great meal, just the right amount of sweet! If you are nearby go check it out. We are going back tonight and trying other stuff...cant wait.

Great meal, great service. Best Pad Thai I've had in a long time. Made a custom dish for one in our party. Will be back

  • Joanna W.

I absolutely love this place! The food was beyond delicious and the service was great! You cannot go wrong with this restaurant. The Tom Yum soup and Gravy Noodles is what I ordered and actually, I am craving some as I'm typing this! I cannot wait to go back!

  • Kris S.

We ate here on a whim as we were traveling to Gatlinburg--Wow! This was the best Thai food I have had (I had the Rainbow.) Everything was fresh and was cooked just right.Service was excellent. I would definitely eat there again.

    (5)
  • Jaya W.

My husband and I stopped here on our way back from Gatlinburg. We live in a land locked state with not much diversity or very many options for true ethnic food. We love authentic Thai, and thought we would try this restaurant. My husband ordered the Thai Basil Chicken, Tom Yum, and I ordered the fried Talipia with ginger sauce and a bowl of Tom Yum and Tom Ka. All of our food arrived hot. The service was timely and the staff was very pleasant. Both soups had way too much fish sauce. We detected very little to no lemongrass in both soups. I ordered brown rice with my food and my husband ordered white. We both agreed that the rice was very fragrant and had a hint of something citrus. My fish was okay. The ginger sauce that my fish was served with was good. My husband enjoyed his Basil Chicken. The food here was okay. We were very disappointed about the soup and the price. Our order came to just over $42.00. Maybe it's our own fault. We've had extremely good Thai food in Chicago. Nothing else has compared. We will not be returning to Thai Basil in Sevierville. Maybe you will have a better experience.

  • Hillbilly P.

We got take out from Thai Basil so I can't speak for the service but the staff at the counter was very friendly. The Massaman Beef was delicious. I also had the Fried Pot Stickers and they were great as well. When I ordered the Pot Stickers, I was surprised when I got a choice of Pork, Beef or Chicken. I chose the Pork. We go RV'ing a lot in Pigeon Forge and Servierville and I will definitely go back to Thai Basil.

    (5)
  • Bryan J.

This was my first time trying Thai food, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. The coco soup was excellent, and we tried a couple of dishes off of the lunch special menu. Every bite was excellent. The presentation of the food was well done. You could tell a lot of effort was put into it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

    (5)
  • Tim H.

Simple atmosphere, but wonderful, fresh food! Don't pass up if you live or travel through this area. It is well worth it. We look forward to eating here again the next time we are in the area

  • Shafi K.

My boyfriend and I stopped here while we were on vacation in the Smoky Mountains. It's about a 10 minute drive from Pigeon Forge. We LOVED the food here! Service was great. We both has one of their curries. My boyfriend had it with the talapia (friend and excellent) and I had it with shrimp. It was superb! Be careful though because the food can be quite hot. Our waitress said the 2 was "nothing" but my boyfriend was breaking out in sweats from it. I had the three which I expected to be a little spicy and loved it. If you're not much of a spicy eater, I would get the one probably! We were looking up a couple of places in the Smokies where we wanted to hike and such, and the lovely server went out of her way to ask people and find us some directions. Overall, great experience. We will be back if we're passing through again!

The restaurant was super crowded! Nice staff and food was delicious.

  • Puii K.

I had the papaya salad, lemongrass soup, wonton soup, panang curry, and stir fried vegetable. Everything was delicious just like I had growing up in Thailand! The price was decent and the cleanliness was immaculate. The service was top notch. We will definitely be there next visit!

    (5)
  • LeAnn L.

Pretty good Thai! We eat lots of Thai and I'd say this ranks up there with some of the best.

    (4)
  • Miryam D.

I am a foodie and expert on Thai cuisine. This restaurant has awesome inexpensive dishes. Best deals are at lunch where you will be able to eat for $10 with tip included. The Lemon grass and squid salad were superb as well as the rainbow and eggplant basil stir-fry. Great little place that I will be visiting often when in town. My favorite so far!!

    (5)
  • Ariel G.

Fantastic restaurant. The quality of the food is high and the prices are reasonable. Portions are adequate (leaving an Asian restaurant stuffed is an awful feeling, you don't want that anyway). And as for the spiciness, they mean what they say. Rural ethnic restaurants usually serve bland food. This is a welcome and unexpected exception. I ordered the drunken noodles. The noodles' shape was closer to tagliatelle than the broad noodles usually served in the dish in northern Virginia. As far as the taste though, this can stand up to any of the drunken noodles I've had in large cities. Bottom line: highly recommended.

    (5)
  • Kevin M.

Food was spectacular and my review would be 5 stars if I went solely on taste but price was high for a small thai restaurant. I always like to stop in and try the best rated thai restaurants and this one did not disappoint except for the price. The massaman curry was what we ordered and at $12 we felt was a little high but to substitute brown rice it was an additional 1.75 per person plus to add extra veggies it was another $3. Where most restaurants already pack the dish with a variety of veggies this restaurant charges. Where we normally eat for $30-$35 we ended up spending $50 after tip and it was just 2 of us. Again, the food was awesome just a little over priced.

  • Matthew E.

Ate here 5 days outta the 7 i stayed in Pigeon Forge......the food is amazing, I don't have a single complaint. Wait staff is very friendly, though one of the girls talked wayyyy to much the last day we dined but at least she was friendly. Earlier, I uploaded photos of the Papaya Salad, Drunken Noodle, and Pad Thai, look for them on Yelp!

Loved the place... Great food, great service .. And surprising fast. We had our food in almost 5 min after we ordered :-).

    (5)
  • Donnell S.

Not the best Thai place I've been to, but its pretty close. It really beats the other food options in the area. Dishes give you a full but light feeling. I don't think there's anything between this place and Gatlinburg that isn't greasy fast food/pizza or pancakes. Eat here before venturing further!

    (5)
  • Rachael H.

The restaurant was very neat and clean. The food was delicious, one of the best drunken noodles dishes I've ever had, and the staff was very friendly. Five stars, and a must-visit for anyone who likes Thai food!

I have been curious about this restaurant for some time & decided to take my husband to finally check it out. It met our expectations & was very good. I had the Coco. Soup ( Tom Kha) & it was amazing. My husband had a Soft-shell crab stir fry ( it was on special). He was in heaven because it was very good. I had a bite of it and would agree! We ordered an appetizer sampler that was good but I wasn't a fan of the Thai Meat Roll . The place is behind a Pizza Hut so it may be hard to spot. Our waiter was very nice and will gladly answer any questions you have. We are looking forward to going back ASAP! I want to try the fresh Shrimp Basil Rolls & Glass Noodle Salad!

  • Mary L.

Our family ate here on the way to the Smokies and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The service was prompt and attentive and the food came in decent time. We ordered pad Thai, tofu and veggies in Thai sauce, and red curry with chicken and they were all amazing. I've eaten Thai food everywhere (Atlanta to Chicago to New York to Birmingham) and this was on par with the best of the Thai restaurants I've been to. The owner and her son actually came out and chatted with us at the end :) Overall it was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anybody who loves good Thai food and quality service!

Went with a large group of friends last weekend while helping work the cartoon convention at the Sevierville Events Center. I ordered the pad thai, as I tend to do when I'm in a new place and it's on the menu, and I ordered it "Thai hot." All of our food was delivered promptly, and I must say the pad thai was delicious. Nice and flavorful without any component being too overpowering. The spiciness was decent. Not "Thai hot," but still really spicy. The portion size was good for the price; I had enough to take some home for lunch the next day. Everyone who went with me enjoyed their meals as well. I'll definitely come back next year!

Excellent find in the desert of tourist trap disasters! Fresh food , authentic menu , great service. We're not all that adventurous , but pad Thai, pad see ew, cashew chicken and pork fried rice are all very good. The fried rice was a nice surprise- not full of soy sauce. Will come back here when we come to pigeon forge again.

We stopped here for lunch. The prices and portions for lunch were perfect. Service was excellent and very friendly like we were in a friend's home for dinner. FRIED POTSTICKERS: Very good, with a good balance of slivered ginger in the meat. The dipping sauce was tremendous! Would love to buy a bottle of it! COCONUT SOUP: At first I was a little put off by the coconut flavor, but as I continued, oh what a PERFECT BLEND of spices, sweet & sour flavors. Excellent soup. RED CURRY: Excellent. My husband was totally enthralled with the flavors. He closed his eyes while eating just to savor the wonderful taste experience. PRIK PAO: Very good. They really know how to blend their spices to make a wonderfully complex & delicious sauce. We will definitely return if in the area again.

Wonderful place! Definitely one of the best restaurants in Sevier County. They have a large selection of flavorful dishes full of healthy ingredients. If you're new to Thai food you won't feel intimidated as all the dishes are very well described. Check it out! I will be giving Thai Basil my business as much as possible.

As far as Sevierville goes, this might actually be the best restaurant in town! It's snuggled into a strip mall between Staples and a gym, but inside it's clean, comfortable, and sheltered. It's clear that the owners don't get too many patrons that are familiar with Thai food, so the menu is laid out for the beginner. But, thankfully, the menu is pretty large, so if you are a Thai regular, all your favorites should be there. I tried the green papaya salad to start and the stir-fried eggplant (with chicken) after. Every dish can be specified: mild, medium, hot, or "Thai hot." I talked to the owner about it and after saying that I eat plenty of Thai food, he said "Thai hot" should be fine, and if it's not hot enough, they can always make it hotter! My "Thai hot" eggplant was perfectly hot -- enough to build some sweat on my brow, a little tear to my eye, and it built nicely in my mouth. In other words, good spice, but not painful. It was easy enough to quench the spice with a swish of Singha. If I had any complaint, it's that my eggplant was a little undercooked for my taste -- in that specific dish, I think the eggplant should be fried almost to the point of mushiness, to bring out the sweetness. But, overall, this place is a huge boon to Sevierville's options, the owners are very kind and sweet, and I hope it does very very well.

There may be better Thai places around but they would have to be really good to beat this place. Service was quick and courteous, beer was reasonable and cold, shrimp rolls were just right (love the ginger sauce), and the pad Thai spicy and flavorful. Thanks Gin....

Fantastic and delicious! Cute atmosphere; clean; fast, friendly and knowledgeable waitress; lots of tasty menu options and generous portions. This gem is hidden well within a strip mall just before you get into Sevierville, but worth the stop. Enjoy!

Looking for something other than a chain restaurant in Pigeon Forge and came across Thai Basil on Yelp....so glad we did. Brent was our waiter and he was wonderful. Knowledgable about the menu and very friendly. My husband started off with the Tom Yum soup and then we both had the Shrimp Pad Thai. The flavours were delicious and the shrimp was cooked perfectly! Thank you Yelp for this Smokey Mountain gem!

I absolutely love thai food. I was looking for a place that had really good food. This place is by far is the best in all of gatlinburg area. You can't leave the area until you go to thai basil. I recommend the yellow curry with chicken extra spicy add cashews. I go every Thursday. Above all the service is great. They really care that you are there. The place is always packed.

We're always counting on Yelp to steer us in the right direction when it comes to places to eat and yesterday was no exception. We went with confidence knowing we would not be let down and we weren't. We started with Calamri, Crab Cheese Roll & Tom Ka Soup, all were very tasty... I thought the soup was a little on the citrus side but my wife thought it was one of the best she has had. Moving on to dinner... I had the Pad Thai (thai hot) and it was delicious, there was one problem- they ran out of limes??? Guess they used all the limes in the soup. The lime would have definitely rounded the dish. My wife had the Drunckin Noodles (she's never had this dish) and she was blown away; she ordered it medium heat and it was SPICY but that didn't stop her from finishing her dish. We did not have room for dessert so can't comment on that. This place is a must for anyone looking to have some great Thai food... thanks Basil Thai!

WOW...throw my Pad Thai a life preserver...it was drowning in oil/grease and NO flavor. I've had better Thai food from a box in the super market.

I work near here and eat here for lunch once or twice a month. Great Thai food, great lunch menu and great service. You really cant go wrong. pleasantly surprised to find this place in Seviervile, its much better than the places in Knoxville. They offer super fast take out as well. Everything on the menu is great, i've tried the fair share of it. Have never been here for dinner, but I'm sure its just as great, if not better than their lunch service.

This place was fabulous! We enjoyed every dish that we ate. The spicy basil sauce was delightful. If you like your food spicy don't be afraid to order it hot, and add the spicy paste that they give you. It will give to the kick that you are looking for. The hot is not that hot with out the paste... If you like fresh cooked food, you would love this place!
