Despite this spot being haunted (don't ask about the walk-in freezer) you totally need to go! The food is awesome and the GM is extremely knowledgable about meat dishes in particular. Ask him to recommend wine for you, he will guide you toward something new and awesome. Wines are VERY well priced (low markup) until you hit the $100 mark, so drink up!! Only giving 4 stars because our waitress wasn't 5-star quality. Not bad, just not 5 stars.

I brought my department here for a team building lunch after an hour of rigorous indoor karting. Great view of the city (especially at night). With 9 people, miraculously, everyone seemed to like their food. The chicken tortilla soup was a favorite, as was the grilled cheese with bacon and eggs. They gave us two servers, which was a good call. One star pulled for what looked like a pretty overpriced wine list combined with an incredibly weird, slightly too loud musical playlist. We heard, It's Britney Bitch, followed by a Karen Carpenter ballad. That makes for some distracting background music.

How can you go wrong with wine flights?! I have frequented many failed restaurants in 5th and Main and I hope this one is here to stay! The atmosphere is great. It is upscale but relaxed with two perfect patios for outdoor dining. The wine and cocktail list is substantial and moderately priced. The food is great from a nice meal to splitting a flatbread. I definitely recommend getting something that has their homemade pickles on them. I will be back!

Well.... not bad. not great either. happy hour drink prices are good. Our well drinks were 2 for 1 at $4.25. bar bites are decent price. $5 bar bites during happy hour. servings are ample. My group got pizzas and wedge salads with added protein. waitstaff is good. Our waiter was very nice, not too knowledgable about menu, and Quinton, the bartender was very nice. quality is meh. When I asked everyone if they would return, no one said they would want to.

My husband and I went to the Vine for the first time over Valentines weekend. The atmosphere was great for a romantic evening. The bread basket was wonderful as well as my pork chop entree. However, the brussels and sweet potato sides that came with my delicious pork chop were just mediocre in my opinion. The cocktails were good, but I found them a little over priced. I think wine may be a better choice if we return. Their wine list did seem pretty impressive.

Went in a little before actual open time and they seated us anyway. It was Thirsty Thursdays so had the house wine , buffalo devil eggs to start and the Bleu flatbread. The devil eggs were just okay but the flat bread was very good and the filet was cooked to perfection and very juicy. Also the atmosphere is cozy and the speaker music was great, a little sound for all genres

I was visiting from out of town and found The Vine because of its location to LP Field. Staff was friendly and inviting. Food was very good. We had only a limited amount of time and our server did an awesome job of getting our order quickly. Wish we had more time to stay and enjoy. Would definitely go back if I am in Nashville again.

Really was excited about this place! Went in on a cold night got a little table for two in the middle of a bunch of other tables. It was dark and so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. There was a guy playing a guitar nearby as well which didn't help with the noise level. The waitress took our order and we both ordered the "filet" I specifically asked the waitress how big it was which she replied "9oz"! I was like ok cool since it was a $30 meal at least it was a good size. 30 minutes later the meal finally came out and the steak was maybe 3oz! Smallest steak I've ever seen! No where near the 9oz she told us! I ordered it med rare and it was med well to well done. I left hungry and went over to 5 points pizza to have a slice. Not going back!

Pros: Food was very good. My wife got the amazing shrimp and grits. I got a really well prepared high quality petite fillet. Super friendly staff as well as owner chef walking the floor. Good recommendations. Strong cocktail and wine options including flights of wine. Cons: we were there before dark and the view out the window is a Citgo station. Arrival/entry/exit hostess staton location is bizarre if you don't come in the right door. (Very easy not to). Decor, ambiance tries but leaves something to be desired. Outside of downtown. But a quick $5 uber. Overall. Worth the ride over for the shrimp and grits alone. They know what they're doing in the kitchen, for sure.

Went here for brunch and LOVED it! After hearing great reviews from friends we decided to check it out ourselves and were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed in to a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff who helped guide us through our experience. The prices are great for the amount of food you get and each dish we tried was well crafted. We had the hot chicken and salmon dip to start followed by the focaccia egg sandwich which was enough food to feed 4! Will definitely be back for more!

Food poisoning for my pregnant wife...but we will come back to that. Went for Valentine's Day...what a mistake. First they were running 30 minutes behind on reservations...we were not the only ones complaining about that. The excuse given by the hostess was that they were a new restaurant and it was Valentines Day and they couldn't turn the tables...if you can't manage reservations every 30 minutes then don't take them every 30 minutes. First was the cheese plate...poor selection...and only one my wife could eat. The soup was then served while I was in the bathroom. For a restaurant like this place is trying to be that is poor service to serve food without the entire party present. Soup was tasty...but had shrimp shells in it. Then came the Caesar salad...overdressed with an odd tasting dressing...and the addition of arugula would make it not a Caesar salad. Then the entrées which my wife ordered Scottish salmon which was described to us by the server as "oh its a rub on the fish" it turns out it also came with cauliflower a chimichurri and a polenta cake...why provide a chimichurri for a fish that is already seasoned? I had chicken that was well cooked but had a horribly salty sauce on it. My wife took one bite of her salmon and stopped eating...practically raw in the center. My wife spoke with the manager whose response was "oh its sushi grade...that's how it's prepared" Nope...my pregnant wife is not supposed to be eating raw fish...sushi grade or not. Then for a $59 prix fixe their dessert was a cupcake...a single cupcake...something you can get at Publix for $2...at this point we didn't even take their cheap cupcake and left...I'll end with saying 13 hours later my wife had finally recovered from this horrible restaurant choice. If this is the best restaurant you've been to in Nashville then I feel very sorry for you.

First, my only complaint was that we had a reservation and they made us wait 25 minutes after our reservation time. However, once we were seated, it was good. The service was fine, we had a large group and our waitress did well but did not go above and beyond by any means. Now, the food. We started with a few appetizers. The antipasti platter was good. Lobster mac and cheese was apparently so good that she didn't share! The crab cake entree was DELICIOUS! The crab cake was excellent with good crab. It came with a delightful Asiago risotto. Additionally, there was fried asparagus. I'm not usually an asparagus fan, but this was good. The steak was great. Get a side of the tater tots, they have a little kick that is a fun surprise! The wines were excellent as well.

What a little gem this place is! Was a Friday afternoon and the husband and I had not yet made dinner plans so I was scanning OpenTable to see what was available and this restaurant popped up. Decided to take a chance on it given the other good Yelp reviews and we were not let down! First, the wine flights they offered were very good. They were unique wines that you don't see on every restaurant menu and the pours were very generous! I had the Pinot Envy flight and the husband had the Anything But Chard flight and we were both impressed with the selections - not a bad one in the bunch. Secondly, the entrees we had were awesome! He had the lamp chop and I had the lasagna. Both were flavorful and tasted like something we might find at Etch or one of the top notch restaurants in Nashville. Lastly, the view....we sat out on their patio which offered an awesome view of the downtown Nashville skyline. It was a perfect evening to dine outdoors and the view was the icing on the cake. The prices here are reasonable given the quality of the food. We had two apps, two entrees, a dessert and three wine flights for about $135 before tip which is really a bargain given the quality of the food and wine. Our server was cheerful and attentive. All in all, a great night! I highly recommend as a date night spot if you want to go somewhere nice without breaking the bank. We will definitely return soon!

I've been to The Vine twice now. After my first happy hour visit, I knew I just had to go back for dinner. Everything about both visits was amazing. First of all, they have wine flights--how awesome is that?! Besides that splendor, the food and ambiance are great. And, the service? The service is spectacular! On both visits I had a great server, and on each visit I was also paid a visit by the owner who made our happy hour extra special by bringing us a nice Cabernet to sample. During dinner we enjoyed the live music, as well. Oh, and one last thing--the price--totally reasonable, even a little below market, I would say. So, yeah, the place is great--try it, and don't miss the sweet happy hour specials!

Tried this spot out for the first time last night. They have a very cool bar the staff is friendly. The wine list is nice and love the Wine trios. Dined on a cheese tray and pizza. Cool spot folks check it out

Awesome! Great food and amazing wait staff. The four of us shared three different flights of wine and enjoyed trying them all with different foods. The steak was amazing and was so tender I could almost cut it with my fork. Prices were reasonable. I'll have to go back here at some point.

I had a party of 20 on a Friday night for my birthday! They were so accommodating. The service and especially the food was great!

  • R B.

Our server Jessica was very nice and accommodating. Great Latte and mimosa. The food over all was good but pricey. We were initially interested in ordering the Eggs Benedict but asked to sample the hollandaise which all 3 of us rejected as too citrusy. .. (Chef Lucs)....When Chef Luc visited our table at the end of our meal to apologize for the slow kitchen, he asked how we enjoyed our meal. We expressed our preference for a more traditional hollandaise sauce at which point he apparently took great offense and bluntly informed us "that when we opened our own restaurant we could make it however we wanted." Evidently he really didn't want any negative feedback. He then proceeded to huff back to the kitchen. We were in total shock. And this is also one of the owners. So needless to say we probably won't return.

The wine flights are extremely well priced and fantastic. Finally a place where you can enjoy great wine without paying a 300% mark-up. We just had a snack, the buffalo deviled eggs, and they were fantastic. Service was good, especially for a brand new restaurant. We met the owner, Greg, who mentioned the menu changes weekly. We live nearby and are happy to have The Vine so close, we'll be back.

I visited The Vine last night. I was quickly seated from my opentable reservation. The wait staff was very friendly. It had good Jazz music and pleasant decor. The selection of draft beer had 5 taps. The first two I ordered they were out of which I switched to larger bottled selection. I started off with the buffalo deviled eggs with bacon. They were among the best I've had. For my main course I ordered the special which was ahi tuna with wasabi butter with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were lukewarm, but we did have a table of 8. The potatoes otherwise were great. The tuna was ordered medium rare, and another person ordered it the same. Neither of us had any pink or red left in our medium well cooked fish. The wasabi butter was good and the food was well presented. It was a pleasant overall experience, but not quite 4 stars overall. Without being nitpicky I would recommend it.

Absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is upscale, service has been perfect every time, and excellent food. Great bar selection as well. Has a bar and outdoor patio. The shrimp & grits, crab cakes, filet, East Atlanta hot chicken, and homemade tator tots are the best. There is valet parking, so easy in and out.

Visiting Nashville from San Francisco and found the Vine to be outstanding. Our server James provided great recommendations and great service. Crab cakes were a good-sized portion. While the restaurant is not located in the center of downtown, it is definitely worth it.

This meal was excellent! The quality of the ingredients shined through, and the preparation was excellent. Standouts: the jerk baby back ribs, the cheeseburger, and the apple cake with cinnamon ice cream. The service was top notch (shoutout to John). The chef and owner came out to greet us, and they were genuinely interested in our experience. It's definitely worth a visit...a real treat!

If this review was about food alone I would give it three stars. Some of the items were great and some were average. The parking is horrible but they have free valet! The service is 10 stars. Even the chef came out to thank us for ordering so may different things! No TVs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A perfect mix of great wine and great food. I hope this place is able to survive, because it's definitely the type of place I would frequent. Everything we had from the tots, to the salmon, to the house made gelato was freakin' awesome. I could've had double the amount of wine, because it was just so good.

FINALLY got a chance to go to The Vine. Better than your average watering hoke and the TOTS are soooooo good. Sorry but they actually make their own tots with a homemade spicy katsup that I LOVE! The antipasti plate is ok but not not something i would order. However chowder is great, the ambience is nice and we loved our server Vanessa. I would recommend the wine flytes during happy hour. Great deal for the quality and money. I will def go again.

What a great new restaurant for the money in Nashville. The food was great, especially the Rib Eye. Great value at 34 with a wonderful wine selection. Try the lobster Mac and Cheese and the Tator tots for an appetizer. Wine corkage fee is 15 per bottle and the staff was great. Perfect for parents of students

I went for the first time on a Saturday night with some friends who had been there before. I ordered to start the bread basket. It came with a couple of kinds of bread, butter and dipping oil. It was all warm and good but not great. I also ordered the cheeseburger with battered brussels (battered and fried brussel sprouts). I asked for the burger well done and it arrived medium so I had to send it back. Once I got it back and ate it I loved it. The cheese, tomato, peppers and whatever else they put on it went great when the burger. The bun was also really good. The brussel sprouts came with a side of ranch and were delicious though the breading a bit much. Someone else ordered crab cake and it was so good! I would order that. Out of the other 4 people at the table all but one was happy with their food. Our table ordered all of the desserts and was most impressed with the apple one and coconut banana cream pie. Both were interesting takes on classics and really flavorful. Service was okay. Our server was really nice and helpful, but disappeared a lot, or would leave the table so fast no one had a chance to ask for something. It was a busy night and maybe she had a lot of other tables. Overall the food was really good and I would go back. It's nice to have good dessert and good dinner in the same place. My bill before tip was about $32 for the bread basket, my entree, 1 dessert, and a coffee.

This place rocks so hard. I've been here twice, and they do steaks better than almost every "Steakhouse" I've been to. The service has been great on both occasions, the waitstaff is very knowledgeable and make you feel like a valued customer. I've had as an appetizer the Lobster Mac n Chz, which I thought was wonderful, very creamy. My friend ordered a bread basket, which contained an assortment of bread, most noticeably some sort of muffin that was so good it made we want to shout. On both occasions I've ordered the 16oz Ribeye cooked Pittsburgh Mid Rare with bleu cheese crumbles. They cooked it perfectly both times. The cuts of steak they get are top quality, the way they grill it really brings out the flavor of the meat. They are served with some whipped potatoes that were also fantastic both times. The restaurant is a little on the pricier side, but not as pricey as most restaurants in its class. I think their items are priced more than fair for the quality of food that you receive. They also have a mind blowing happy hour. $2 Craft brew drafts, $3 house wines, and $4 wells. Thats literally the best happy hour I've seen in Nashville. Overall this is a great place for a nice date, a classy night out with friends, special occasions, or just regular dining when you don't mind spending a little dough. Give it a shot, you'll love it.

Pleasantly surprised with how great this place was. First off, parking is a little strange so when you're on the road if you're looking at the restaurant, the parking lot is diagonally behind where the restaurant is...if that makes sense. There's free parking and valet but on a Tuesday night there was plenty of the free spots i didnt even bother looking for valet. The wine selection is very decent...probably one of the best I've seen around Nashville. I recommend the Cali Cab flight personally but I'm an avid cabernet fan so I may be a little biased. I appreciated the amount of by the glass/half bottle options they had to choose from. I feel like a lot of places only offer 4 or 5 by the glass wines to push you towards ordering an entire bottle so this was a nice surprise. The price of wine in restaurants always has ridiculous markup but i feel like the markup at the Vine was even higher than normal so that would be my biggest complaint. J Phelps Insignia for $350? Seems a bit too steep even for restaurant standards.... My friend and I shared the antipasta appetizer which included various meats, cheeses, and fruits and although it was very good, for $13 I wish I would have been able to pick and choose which cheese I got instead of just receiving whatever comes with it. Overall the bill was a little higher at the end of the night considering I only had one flight and shared the appetizer and half bottle of wine but I would definitely visit again.

I'm going to lay out the perfect girls night for you ok? 1. Dont invite any gal pals on a diet. 2. Go on a Friday where the wine flights are $5 off. They typically run $13-15. You get little adorable flasks (circa 1999 chemistry class ) filled with what they say is 3oz each. No way. I swear there is more. 3. Split an order of the grilled cheese. Holy geezus. For $13, they give you THREE WHOLE SANDWICHES. 4. Share the bread basket ($4 and such a variety) and an order of the hot cauliflower. Imagine Hattie Bs skinnier sister. But lets be honest... she's not that skinnier. But still fierce and hot as all get out. You're welcome.

  • Susanna H.

I ordered the crab cakes and they were absolutely yummy. I have only been once with my friend, but I hope that I get to come again soon. We also ordered the bread basket, which was everything that you would want when it comes to variety and taste. Next time I come, I plan to get the kale salad and add steak. Based on the reviews, it sounds like they do steak right, and I saw the kale salad, and it looks pretty amazing. Oh! And if you track Southwest rapid reward dining points, this place is on the list!

So incredibly LOVELY! I know that probably sounds strange but I just felt damn FANCY having brunch at this awesome establishment. The art, the glass, the place settings, the dishes the food came out on... Just WOW! And they are hip to the scene and cool like fools with social media (they give you a free dessert for posting and hash tagging about The Vine)! Met the owner - cool dude. My friends and I will definitely be back. You have got to try the best tater tots you'll ever have and their zucchini bread French toast with berries! A very classy place in Nashville!

Not to be cynical but I don't see this place lasting. Nothing stays too long in this spot, intentionally or not. I thought it was the place where an owner of a previous restaurant died in the freezer but was like nah. This is the place, y'all! There was no one there. No one. Okay, one table in the bar area who seemed to know the owner so I don't know if they are paying customers. I know they know the owner because he seemed like he was impressed with himself sitting at the bar. We sat in the dining room and there wasn't anyone else there the whole time we dined. Our group had several items and no one commented on it being good or bad, which isn't a good sign. I got the white flatbread. It has shrimp. The flatbread was good but the shrimp wasn't. The service was great, as one would expect because there were quite a few employees milling around seemingly with nothing to do, even kitchen staff. They have wine as the name suggests. They have drink specials. The whole place smells like we live in a bottle of wine. It gave me a headache. Parking is weird, y'all. Naturally there's street parking. A parking garage. Two parking lots. And supposedly valet parking. We never saw valet parking so we parked in the side lot and walked and we didn't feel the safest walking.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant! Stopped here on our way to visit family in Clarksville. Conveniently located right off the interstate in East Nashville. Kinda surprised to see such a high-class restaurant in the area but it was great nonetheless. Got a reservation easily through Open Table 30 minutes before we came on a Friday night. Seated us immediately but you don't need a reservation. Drinks: I ordered my regular vodka cranberry. The vodka could have been better.. But it still did the job. My boyfriend loved his dark beer.. Can't remember the name of it. Food: I got the fried filet mignon which came with sage gravy and mashed potatoes on the side. The portion was HUGE and I definitely took some home with me. Mashed potatoes were wonderful and one of my favorites because they have the skins in there, which a lot of restaurants don't do. My boyfriend had the shrimp and grits, which he always gets when he tries a new place and he said it was in his top 3 he's ever had. I thought he was going to lick his plate honestly. ;) Staff: Everyone we came across was super nice to us. The whole restaurant is very personable and the staff all seemed like they enjoyed working there. The owner and executive chef/co-owner both came over to our table twice to check on us and what we thought about the food. We absolutely loved it. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure all of our needs and wants were filled without feeling like we were always being checked on! Complimentary Valet parking is always a plus as well. We will absolutely be back here when we come to the Nashville area again. Thank you for a great meal!

Amazing, friendly staff that really enjoy where they work. The Ceasar salad dressing is a unique blend... not too creamy but not too tangy. Compliments the salad perfect; and I eat a Ceasar salad at least 1 time a day. The double cut pork chop with mashed sweet potato was delicious. There was no fat on my chop and it was a huge cut! This is a $$$$ restaurant that you get for $$. Worth the visit when you're in town.

WOW! This probably the best eating establishment I have ever been to in Nashville!... PROS!: 1. Service (I had Jessica from Kentucky as my server) and she was beyond super awesome) - was fun... interesting to have some side conversation... attentive without being hovering. 2. The food and wine: Wine list is not insane - but manageable, and they only have the good stuff. I really like how they do their flight of wines. 3. Live country music that is actually perfectly volumed and located (so its more like jazz music rather than any other live scene) 4. The place looks modern yet comfortable - perfect balance... oh and yes.. super clean too... 5. There is actually sufficient parking (valet or garage) 6. It is conveniently located - just across the bridge CONS: Not sure if I can think of any

My husband & I are vegan so we really appreciate the fact that The Vine features a vegan special every night. That is awesome! We went with some friends and everyone loved their food. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were a bit high but not out of line for a nice restaurant. We're looking forward to returning and trying another vegan special!

So many good things are happening at The Vine! First, their happy hour is one of the best in Nashville and that's saying a lot. The food is delicious and the menu has variety, but not so many options you can choose. The parking is the bad part but I got to valet for free. There is a full bar with drinks, wine, and lots of beers on tap.

We were headed to the Titans game and decided to have dinner there with the kids, our server David was fantastic, the chef came out to apologize for the delay in our appetizer, which we didn't even notice, but that was so nice that he took the time to speak to us & the kids! We will definitely go back for the food & service, a gem in the city!!

I can't in good conscious recommend it to friends. It's uninspired food at Husk/City House prices. Nothing inherently wrong with the food quality, but it's so expensive for such boring food. Creativity is not their strong suit. Save the money, go to a better spot.

Seriously. This place. Fantastic new restaurant in Nashville. Reservation easy. Complimentary Valet. Not too packed. But above all else the service was TOP NOTCH. I am extremely picky when it comes to service having worked in the industry - possibly the best service I have had in Nashville to date. Everyone was so competent and knowledgeable. Went here with a group of 5 to celebrate my birthday - 3 of which were from out of town! Great place to bring out of town folks. Reasonably price and amazing food quality! The owner came out and made a point of speaking and welcoming us ( I also saw him do this with all the other tables around us ) so nice. Especially to make time on a Saturday night! We will be back and will become regulars at this place!

Went here tonight for the first time and it was a great dining experience. We started out with the cheese plate (also had fruits, meats and breads) and was a great portion size for the two of us. We also had some of the wine flights and they were very good. For our dinner, we had the "airline" chicken and the bleu flatbread pizza. Both were great selections and the chicken has a great flavor. The flatbread was a bit of a surprise and was very flavorful. We will be back and I would recommend this place to other people, there is a great atmosphere and an intimate feel to the dining area. The wait staff was kind, knowledgable and attentive.

Most importantly: I love the wine, I love the steak and I love the vibe. From the second I walked in, everyone treated me really nice. I had been putting off coming here because I thought it might be a "pretentious wine bar". But that was not my experience at all. The music was surprisingly cool and upbeat. More than once, someone other than my server asked me how my meal was. I LOVE that there is an option for a 1/2 bottle of wine. I've never seen that and to someone who frequently dines alone, this was heaven! Everything was delicious. Will definitely be coming back to show my friends and to try every wine on the giant list.

Stand back people this place is exploding with amazing wine selections and the most delicious produce and meats to fill your tummy and have you craving more. Key points on why we will be back -Huge selection of great wines -Too many enticing items to try in one sitting -EVERYTHING is made fresh with new specials daily -Amazing staff For the wines, I highly recommend trying one of the preselected flights of wine. These wine guys know what they are doing! We tried the killer cabs and each one was different and complex with a progression from a tart cherry, relaxed coco and espresso to the finale of ripe raspberry notes. One thing we missed out on tonight was trying out this wine bars cocktails! Not only do they have the best selections and price in fine wines, but I already know I will be trying the 'savannah pear' cocktail when we go back! The food was so well thought out and the presentation is so artfully done, this is one time where I almost took pictures of my food(I'm about to be that girl Facebook friends, ha)! We had the buffalo deviled eggs served over blue cheese crumbles, diced carrots, cucumbers and celery all tossed in a house made thyme buttermilk dressing. And to knock it out of the park it's served with a BACON flag! Needless to say we were reeling and ready for more! For entrees we tried the crab cakes over a parmesan polenta with fried asparagus. All lump crab meat and lightly sautéed to perfection!! And the thing I will be keeping an eye out for is the return of the dish fit for a celebration, the butcher's cut of the day, a rack of jerk ribs, basted and basted and cooked to a crispy smokey crunch with a sweet buttery soft center that falls off the bone. This was paired with the most amazing rum and pineapple sweet potatoes and a grilled pineapple. Oh my goodness. Hats off and good vibes to the chef, I have already been back since I started this review and this kitchen is one to knock your socks off!

Outstanding meal. Among 6 people at the table, we had 3 appetizers, 6 entrees, a dessert, and 2 wines. Everything worked. Our server was excellent. One of the owners stopped by and introduced himself and made sure everything was going well. Even the live music was spot-on. Look forward to returning.

On the corner of S 5th Street and Main in Nashville, a circled "V" has appeared. The signage for a new Nashville restaurant, "The Vine" finds itself exploring everything from pizza, standard American dinner dishes, all under the guise of "fresh ingredients," and fine dining. On a cold November night, I decided dinner would be nice, and I chose The Vine. Parking is scarce, so use the complimentary valet located Main Street, going towards downtown. I can guarantee you it is most likely a long walk otherwise. Going through the entrance, I was not immediately greeted, but as a single 23 year old guy, I am used to this. It was only a minute before I was greeted, and invited into a new world. Elegant, but simple. Chalkboards announcing new dishes each day in the background, wood floors: cozy, but still a tad generic. Service was better than what I usually expect from a restaurant of this type. Very kind, considerate, with attention to detail, for serving one person. I imagine this place is good for date nights and small groups of people. My server, Gibson, was a great guy. Thanks Gibson! With dining area and a bar, the restaurant remains casual, but calm. I felt at home with a window seat, watching cars pass buy. The "Beet" salad I ordered would more appropriately be called "Spinach," (2 chunks of beets vs a lump full of spinach); however, the salad is fantastically complex, bringing together a singular flavor between beets, spinach, goat cheese, and Rosemary cider vinegar. I found it novel, exciting, and fresh. Nicely presented as well. I decided to try the chef's creation of the day: Hot Chicken Pizza. Overall, I enjoyed it. Chicken was well cooked and nicely flavored. A little heat, but mild enough for anyone to enjoy. It had a small section burnt, but this was only a minor concern. Dessert was based off a recipe from the chef's grandma. Highly recommended: you cannot go wrong with a house made cinnamon gelato with an apple cake and orange blossom honey. My only complaint is that, for "fresh ingredients," it seems like there is nothing to back that up. Showcasing local producers of food in their food would be something I would prefer. If a restaurant can't be entirely upfront and proud of where they get their ingredients from, it's doubtful to me that they are truly incredible ingredients. They taste great! That is not the problem. This is more of a personal preference. I don't drink, but the drink menu seemed plentiful. You'll have to look at another review for that :) + Service Presentation of Dishes Great Salad Options Decently Priced Various Specialty items, thought 40% of the menu, as advertised, doesn't seem to be able to rotate (unless they are possibly including drinks as well). - Vagueness of "fresh ingredients" gives lack of credibility. Generic dining area

Great for a girls night ! Went with a girlfriend for drinks afterwork. Drinks and food specials before 7pm. We ended up each getting a flight for $13-$15 each. Wow. Thats almost 3 full glasses of wine. Plus you get to try a bunch of different types. We went with the cheese / fruit plate it was good too. The service was good, but seemed like they could have maybe used one extra person to help keep up. However everyone was chill and friendly. I hope this place makes it! **Valet Parking outfront **Garage Parking limited **Outside seating less to be desired as you're right by the Citgo and Interstate - but we had a wonderful time inside!

What can I say. I would have loved to like The Vine. It's just not happening for me. Walked in to be awkwardly greeted by the hostess. The vibe is trying to be just right, and man they really almost got it - but that gas station across the street is just a HORRIBLE view while you're eating! The worst. We were awkwardly (again!) greeted by our server. He didn't really seem to be all with it that night. Drinks came out quick, and he kept checking with us as if we were in a race to order. Keep in mind, we were 1 of 2 tables in his section so not much going on. We ordered some sort of lobster mac and cheese which came out sub-par. For the entree honestly I can't even recall what it was. That's how amazing the food was. We were in and out in about 40 minutes. My girlfriend and I usually like to eat for an hour or more, but we couldn't wait to bolt and never come back. Man I really wish it would have been a good experience. But, it just seems to be one of those cursed locations that will continually turn over the business that comes into that specific building.

Finally, restaurants in Nashville, and people in Nashville, are understanding that it takes more than dim lights, exorbitant prices and a rude/snoody attitude to make a restaurant "nice." No place more so exemplifies what a quality upper scale restaurant is supposed to be better than The Vine. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional while still being laid back and personable. The crowd that Vine so far brings is also a nice change of pace. It is normal people relaxing and enjoying great food. The majority of other restaurants that attempt to be of this caliber are typically stocked full of annoying hipsters, pretentious vandy brats, or women who have watched one too many Sex and The City marathons. Here, there is none of that nonsense. Let's talk food and drinks. I was amazed at the selection of the wine they had, but even better was that they offered them on small flights for a great price or with the non traditional option of a half bottle. The options of wine and sizes alone at such a great price will have me coming back to bring clients that come in to town to be able to wine and dine without breaking the bank. For an appetizer, I chose the Lobster Mac and Cheese which was out of this world amazing. It was so creamy and tasted like nothing I've eve experienced, and in a great way. I cook, A LOT, and one of my specialties is Mac and Cheese dishes. I'd sell my soul for this recipe. For dinner, I had the Chile Rubbed Scottish Salmon and the taste is so delicious I wish I had the words to describe. Cooked to the perfect texture and abundant of flavor, it can't be beat. I would definitely say that this is my new favorite place and there is no way you will find a better deal on great food or drink in Nashville. I look forward to returning soon!

The Vine has a great Happy Hour. The staff is always super friendly. The deviled eggs are delish and their flights of wine are delightful. I have been there 6 or 7 times and have never had to wait. Great little spot.

Visited for the first time and I found it very enjoyable, loved the food, the setting and the service. I have to say that the service stood out as excellent (prompt, courteous, friendly..) not that the food and drinks weren't very good. We went to Vine before a concert at the new amphitheater and then just walked. So I'd recommend the place as a nice place to kick off an evening downtown.

Last night we went for the first time and I have to say that I was pretty impressed. The waiter was friendly and professional. We ordered the Caesar salad and cheese plate to start. The salad came right out but the cheese plate was delayed. I think the waiter may have forgot to put it in. No biggie though, it came out before our main course and was very yummy. We had the crab cake and ribeye for dinner. The ribeye was delicious! Grilled perfectly. The crab cake was pretty solid. The wine flights were the best part. The chef/owner came out and was very interested in how we felt about our experience. And finally, when the bill came, the server took off the cheese plate for it being delayed, even though we didn't ask or expect it to be taken off. All in all, I would say their menu could use a creative boost but the food and wine were solid and the service was great.

The waiter was really nice and helpful but the eating experience was a bit fast for my liking. The salmon starter was ok, taste was a bit off and it contained big chucks of canned salmon, it looked like. The tuna special was a strange combination of rice and fried cauliflower. The tuna was cold and the avocado topping was ill matched. The flourless chocolate cake was nice but I did not care about the ice cream that much. Live music was great and the ambiance good

I love this place!! They have an incredible wine list, with 16 different wine flights to choose from so you can get a taste of a variety of their wines! I had the flatbread with the steak on it and it was delicious. The place has a great atmosphere and the bartenders are super nice and knowledgable. I'll definitely be going back soon!

Delicious meal. The white pizza was divine. Make sure to try their Apple dessert. Intoxicating. The staff was engaging and accommodating. To be made to feel like you are the only table in a crowded restaurant is a testament to great service!

Great atmosphere for a Sunday brunch with our best friends. The lobster Mac and cheese was fantastic so I would definitely start with this dish. The entree I had was the lamb and eggs scrambled with goat cheese and potatoes. The service was great, David was extremely attentive and offered the suggestion of mimosa that you can add your flavors to make it unique. The view of downtown is a great back drop to a great meal. Kudos to the owner for opening this spot and good luck we will be back!

I picked up a groupon or a living social deal for this place and was not disappointed. We started out with the cheese platter-all of the cheeses were superb. We also had a kale salad with a citrusy type of dressing. Oddly enough, it was also spicy, but it was manageable. For our entrée, we shared a pork dish that was mediocre. It almost reminded me of a Mexican mole sauce, except the flavor was spicy with no other complements of flavor. It needed some dimension-other than just spice. Our dessert more than made up for the pork entrée. We had the apple cake which was a hybrid between a pie and a cake. The texture was perfect and I loved the crust/cake. It was AMAZING-and probably the best apple desert I have ever had. This cake was served with a cinnamon gelato. All of the desserts are baked-in house. Our service was also wonderful and I plan on returning!

We went there for the New Years dinner that was offered and over all it was a fun time but I don't have much desire to go back. The menu seems like it would be way over priced for the food we received and drinks that were served. Steaks were way over cooked(ordered M rare and served almost well) and the wine over priced even at what they called a discount price for the night(we were curious and looked up what most restaurants would charge). We had reservations and weren't seated until about an hour later. By the time the food came were all starving so we ate it anyway. The wait staff and atmosphere were great. Perhaps they weren't prepared for how busy they would be...even though I believe reservations were required.

Let's start at the top, Flights of wine! Pretty good wine at that. Of the four in my selection there was only one I don't think I would try again. And let's be realistic here, you know how you get tasting wines. You start with "nice, smooth finish" and end spewing forth pompous opinions as if your ratty ass had just strutted through the door of the Cordon Bleu in Paris the day before. In short, it's fun! Sooo Wine, city view. That's it. The end. What? Food? Well if you must. I recommend asking one of the friendly staff what is best, we only did this as an after thought, and to be honest, I think I made the wrong choice. What I ordered was good, but after hearing a little more of the glowing details of the dishes I overlooked, I felt I deprived myself. And lord knows I never aim to deprive myself of anything. Okay that said. Go! Have a great flatbread, drink a Ridiculous amount of wine and follow it with a decadent desert. Gaze at the city and laugh feel Bacchus smiling on you from on high! I would like to take a moment here at the end to thank you for making it through what has to be my most pompous review.... (deep bow)

Came here on Friday evening. Nice selection of five or six wine flights in addition to wines by the glass and bottle. Sat at at the bar. Service was friendly and general manager / owner? was making rounds and chatting with customers. Ordered a few different appetizers all of which very good.

Excellent brunch - what a nice surprise- we eat out often, were looking for brunch spot, and stumbled upon The Vine. The French toast was to die for, and then we ate their "Proper" breakfast with home made sausage from filet minon and lamb, which was excellent. We will come back to visit for sure. BTW perfect Bloody Mary!

This is a pretty average place, overall. The wine flights are useful and the wine choices have some interesting options. The menu, however, is nothing special. The execution is fine but not notable. Overall, everything was under seasoned and lacking snap. This would be a fine choice in Nashville 5 years ago, but the competition is just too strong to recommend Vine, except, maybe, for drinks. But the location does not make drinks-only attractive. So the proposition and deliverables of this restaurant just falls short for me. Fine, but below expectation for the current Nashville restaurant scene.

Everything was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant. The food was out of this world and they have created a comfortable environment with views of downtown. The service was also really good, and she was knowledgable and attentive even on a busy Friday night. Our meal couldn't have gone better. Oh, and you have to get dessert! Enjoy!

Wow, what a great little find!!!! Several others have commented on the service and we also had great service. Very attentive without being overbearing. That's a fine line and they have nailed it. From the hostess who seated us, to our server, to the chef who personally came to the table to make sure we were happy with our entrees, the service was great from beginning to end. The menu is excellent. A nice variety of options as well as prices. I had a very hard time making a decision. We split the tator tots and they were amazing! They're basically little balls of fried mashed potatoes. What's not to love there?! We also split the lobster mac and cheese. Again, it was delicious. Very generous with the lobster. I had to lasagna and meatballs as my entree. It was clearly homemade... pasta, sauce and meatballs all made from scratch. Very bright, fresh flavors. I was stuffed by that time but couldn't bear to leave any of it because it was just so good! I'm not a wine drinker but they have a nice selection of beers and other cocktails. Something for everyone. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. It's definitely a step above casual but not to the level of stiff or stuffy. There was live music but the volume level was right. It wasn't intrusive at all. Not sure about the issues others commented on with parking??? There is abundant parking. There is a surface lot on the side and an underground garage, complimentary. I had zero parking issues at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Definitely will go back to The Vine. Really enjoyed the whole experience.

Love this place! Came for happy hour and sat at the bar with my girlfriends. The bartenders were attentive and polite and knowledgeable about the wines on the list. The appetizers were trendy but really tasty and reasonably priced. Parking is readily available on the surface lot or in the underground garage at no cost. Must try for a great wine selection!

Wow! Dined here last night and it was excellent! Hostess was great, didn't get her name, very friendly. Tasha was our server and she did an excellent job. I had the chile rubbed salmon with squash and it was so flavorful and tasty. I am not a fan of squash, but this stuff was good. The wine flights are a lot of fun, and their wine service is unlike any I have seen in Nashville. Loved the decor, only thing I didn't get was the upscale of the room and the presence of the chalkboards. Didn't seem to go together, but hey, I am no interior decorater.

Nice new restaurant. The chuck roast with polenta was perfect comfort food (you'll want to lick your plate of the gravy) and the meatball lasagna was delicious also. The wine selection was good. The beet salad was delicious & beautifully presented, the chopped salad was in a bowl and so not as pretty a presentation, but our friend said he really enjoyed it. The two desserts we tried were just wonderful- especially the house made gelato part. Service was just slightly bumpy, as you'd expect from a new place, but we'll be back to sample some of the other items.

I really wanted to like this place. It's in a great space but the past restaurants located here did not fare well. The Vine has a very cool feel to it, especially with the live music. The service and the food, however, just didn't live up to par. The highlights were the tots and the spicy ketchup as well as the brussel sprouts that came as a side dish with my entree, but tots and sprouts aren't the reason I go out to eat at a nice restaurant. The swordfish seafood special that I ordered was prepared really poorly. The fish was overcooked and came out mealy and dry instead of flaky and moist as it should. The others at my table were not very impressed with their dishes that included the pot roast, the lasagna meatballs, and a salad with shrimp (of which they forgot to put the dressing on the side like we asked). They also did not bring our dishes out at the same time which is always annoying. We finished up with apple cake with cinnamon sorbet and I have to admit that was also very good. All in all, I wouldn't come back. It's a nice concept but the quality of the food isn't worth it when there are so many other good options in the area.

Went recently and enjoyed the dinner. Nice to see some added zip to a menu in Nashville. The chili-red wine vinegarette on the corn and arugula salad had a wonderful southwestern taste. The lamb chops with the roaste red peppers were very good. Chile rubbed salmon was also served at our table and enjoyed. Staff was good and owner and chef both came around to talk about the dinners served. Made it personable.

Had brunch at The Vine today. Gorgeous space, great service, and easy to get to location; not too far into East Nasty. Food was fabulous; best charcuterie plate in town (Loved the chèvre with house minced herbs) and the the 4 cheese grilled focaccia with bacon and properly cooked over easy egg was a perfect lunch Sammy. The House made tater tots are addicting as well. Met the Chef (Luke) and the GM (Greg); absolutely wonderful hosts. Value was awesome; $68 for brunch with apps, a bottle of bubbly, and a glass of Chardonnay. Highly recommended!

My wife and I decided to try The Vine for a date night and, wow, are we glad that we did. The food was exceptional and the wine list had something for everyone (and in almost anyone's price range). We both had the filet and we were pleasantly surprised that the entrees came included with sides, instead of a la carte as most other upscale places will do. The menu was quite varied and we wanted to try one of everything. The staff was very friendly and the owner even took time to stop at our table and chat for a few minutes. This will become one of our weekly stops.

We had a business dinner at The Vine. We were delighted with the experience. The service was fantastic. Sometimes restaurants with a great view of the city miss the mark on the food but not so with The Vine. The fish chowder was loaded with seafood and the portion was generous. The fish special (Char) was cooked to perfection. We could all hear each other talk. We live and work nearby and plan to come back soon.

I went with a group of 5 other people and we all enjoyed the food, the wine and the service. There was a slight delay getting our table but we enjoyed ourselves at the bar. We were surprised the owner brought us a free appetizer to apologize (even though we didn't think the wait was that bad) The waiter was excellent, funny and helpful. Both owners stopped by to ask how it was. Both seemed really passionate about the food and wine and creating. Great experience. Wish them the best of luck
